00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here.
00:00:03.020 There must be some sort of nationwide gas leak in Canada, because election after election,
00:00:09.300 there is this particular type of swing voter that decides to keep settling on the Liberal
00:00:15.220 Party again and again, despite their obviously terrible track record.
00:00:20.580 I want to go through a little bit of it here today, and then I want to talk about the latest
00:00:25.660 way that these swing voters were completely fooled once again into voting Liberal, despite
00:00:31.600 all of the red flags on the field.
00:00:34.460 Okay, all of branch time, I will give you a gimme on 2015.
00:00:40.380 I couldn't even vote at the time, so fair enough, I wasn't there to register a vote for the
00:00:45.300 Conservatives to push back on it, but Trudeau had nice hair apparently, and he was legalizing
00:00:50.720 pot.
00:00:51.100 It was a weird year.
00:00:52.560 For some reason, people thought that Stephen Harper being boring was a big point against
00:00:57.260 him, and so they elected Justin Trudeau.
00:00:59.480 Okay, making a mistake is human.
00:01:02.820 But then we go to 2019.
00:01:05.320 We have the Oja Khan Island scandal, we have SNC-Lavalin, we have the preceding cover-up
00:01:10.800 that happened, and we have massive overspending, but maybe you were convinced that the budget
00:01:17.180 will balance itself, and all the corruption was an isolated incident.
00:01:20.460 You probably shouldn't have thought that, but whatever.
00:01:23.480 Some people thought that, I don't know why, and we re-elect the Liberals again.
00:01:27.760 Maybe we're being nice, maybe everyone deserves a second chance, but then we get to 2021, and
00:01:34.340 I get that Aaron O'Toole was the worst Conservative Party leader ever, but his opponent was still
00:01:41.040 Justin Trudeau.
00:01:42.000 And for some reason, it wasn't like people just didn't vote for Aaron O'Toole, a bunch
00:01:47.160 of swing voters went back to vote for Justin Trudeau, and I guess the excuse this time is
00:01:52.440 it's COVID and we need a firm hand around people's necks enforcing mandates and keeping them locked
00:01:59.100 up.
00:01:59.480 I really don't know what people were smoking in 2021, where they thought that putting Trudeau
00:02:04.120 back in Parliament for a third government was a good idea, but for some reason, we thought
00:02:09.980 that it was a weird year.
00:02:12.060 Let's just go back to the 2015 example.
00:02:14.780 You locked you up in your homes, people were smoking a lot of pot, maybe they thought it
00:02:18.220 was a good idea to have the Liberals around for a third time.
00:02:21.980 2025.
00:02:24.220 I feel like we are out of excuses for re-electing the Liberal government, and this year, the
00:02:29.460 excuse was the dumbest one and was quickly disproven as a good reason to vote for the
00:02:34.300 Liberals.
00:02:35.220 But, so, Trudeau shoves off.
00:02:37.100 Okay, maybe it's a different government now.
00:02:39.400 Everyone's the exact same inside the government, but let's pretend that that is not true.
00:02:44.140 It's Mark Carney now.
00:02:45.600 Yay, everyone likes Mark Carney, despite the fact that he messed up the country's finances
00:02:49.680 as the economic advisor for five years.
00:02:51.960 But what's five years of destroying a country's finances as the advisor between friends?
00:02:57.720 Maybe he just needed to be Prime Minister and then his ideals would be implemented properly
00:03:02.700 this time.
00:03:03.180 No, they're not.
00:03:04.840 He's literally running on the exact same budget that Justin Trudeau was about to run on for
00:03:09.180 the election.
00:03:10.100 Okay.
00:03:11.320 But, we need to protect Canada from fascism and authoritarianism and Donald Trump in the
00:03:18.520 51st state.
00:03:20.640 No?
00:03:21.840 That, no.
00:03:22.980 This is the dumbest reason to have voted for the Liberal Party again.
00:03:27.140 And for some reason, this particular swing voter who, believe you me, did have a chance of
00:03:33.220 going conservative for some reason, is putting all money on black again and voting liberal
00:03:39.620 because Donald Trump was making jokes about Canada.
00:03:43.660 And by the way, post-election, Donald Trump is happy Mark Carney won.
00:03:50.300 So, all these people who were voting Mark Carney because they're going to show Donald
00:03:53.560 Trump, they're going to make him cry by voting for Mark Carney.
00:03:57.680 And for some reason, Mark Carney is going to go, you know, give it to him or something
00:04:00.840 like that.
00:04:01.440 He's going to, his first meeting, he's going to slap him across the face, give him a wet
00:04:04.500 willy and pants him.
00:04:05.540 And then he's going to demand that America gives Canada $10 billion in restitution.
00:04:09.900 It's not going to happen, guys.
00:04:12.160 Look at this video.
00:04:13.580 You fell for it again.
00:04:15.360 The Liberal voter keeps falling for it, thinking that they are going to get, somehow, they're
00:04:21.880 going to get gold by, like, by betting on the Liberals.
00:04:25.620 They're going to get gold by betting on the Rusty Metal Party.
00:04:29.880 President, I'm very sure you're going to stand against, not only against the Conservatives,
00:04:34.740 but also against you.
00:04:37.560 Yesterday, the Liberal Party.
00:04:38.800 Yeah, and yesterday he spoke about American betrayal.
00:04:43.340 Are you interested in rebuilding relations with Canada?
00:04:47.320 And if so, how?
00:04:48.780 No, well, I think we're going to have a great relationship.
00:04:51.240 He called me up yesterday.
00:04:52.420 He said, let's make a deal.
00:04:53.600 You know, he was running for office.
00:04:55.780 They were both, they both hated Trump.
00:04:57.940 And it was the one that hated Trump, I think the least that won.
00:05:02.300 I actually think the Conservatives hated me much more than the so-called Liberal.
00:05:07.260 He's a pretty liberal guy.
00:05:08.220 But no, I spoke to him yesterday.
00:05:10.120 He couldn't have been nicer.
00:05:11.820 And I congratulated him.
00:05:13.300 You know, it was a very mixed signal because it's almost even, which makes it very complicated
00:05:19.500 for the country.
00:05:20.900 It's a pretty tight race.
00:05:22.480 But he's a very nice gentleman.
00:05:24.380 And we, he's going to come to the White House very shortly.
00:05:28.280 I thought this was our Trump slayer, liberal voter.
00:05:32.880 Wasn't Mark Carney supposed to be the one taking it to Trump?
00:05:36.600 There was someone delusional enough in my comments today, and I need to show this, that
00:05:42.200 was claiming when I had tweeted out that video, basically saying, good job, guys.
00:05:46.720 You truly voted for the guy who's going to be hard on Donald Trump.
00:05:51.620 Every single prime minister, spoiler alert, was going to be nice to Donald Trump.
00:05:56.400 Because guys, I am a Canadian patriot.
00:05:58.140 But we are Canada, and we have a population of 42 million people.
00:06:03.180 Once you remove all the students and temporary foreign workers, we're about 40 million or 39
00:06:08.100 million.
00:06:08.960 But we are not the size of the U.S., not either in terms of population or economic power.
00:06:14.400 We are, in fact, even smaller than our portion of their population in economic power.
00:06:19.440 We were always going to be nice to the United States.
00:06:21.840 We were always going to try and have a good relationship with Donald Trump.
00:06:24.720 Because why would we not?
00:06:26.380 Are we stupid?
00:06:27.480 I guess we are.
00:06:28.520 But this is something that someone actually commented at me when I was pointing out that
00:06:33.820 people have been completely duped thinking that Mark Carney was going to be this, like,
00:06:38.200 super anti-Donald Trump prime minister once he got into office.
00:06:41.660 And this Daniel McNeil guy flags in the bio, for some reason he both has Israel and Palestine,
00:06:47.140 make it make sense.
00:06:48.380 He says, maybe, or maybe Trump has been briefed that Carney is no chump and realizes he needs
00:06:54.580 to be more civil.
00:06:55.960 And I think I had the correct response saying, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, no, he wasn't.
00:07:00.620 Yes, there was no chance.
00:07:01.860 No, Trump was not briefed on how ferocious Mark Carney is and that maybe he's going to
00:07:08.800 have to settle down, pipe it down a little bit, because Mark Carney is going to be coming
00:07:12.620 over the border with an Abrams tank.
00:07:14.780 If Donald Trump doesn't get into line, you fell for it, guys.
00:07:18.800 I'm going to keep reminding liberal voters, you fell for this.
00:07:21.500 You thought that you were going to get some sort of battle axe as a prime minister, when
00:07:27.160 at the end of the day, we are still electing the prime minister of Canada, and he's not
00:07:31.360 going to threaten the president of the United States.
00:07:35.440 Here is the prime minister's website that this was posted, I believe, two days ago, right
00:07:40.540 after his victory.
00:07:42.260 And it says, prime minister Mark Carney speaks with president of the United States, Donald
00:07:46.880 Trump, and it says, today the prime minister, Mark Carney, spoke with president of the United
00:07:52.160 States, Donald J.
00:07:53.220 Trump.
00:07:53.980 President Trump congratulated prime minister Carney on his recent election.
00:07:57.980 The leaders agreed on the importance of Canada and the United States working together
00:08:01.840 as independent sovereign nations for their mutual betterment.
00:08:05.100 To that end, the leaders agreed to meet in person in the near future.
00:08:09.240 Oh my goodness.
00:08:09.880 It's almost like Mark Carney was lying towards the end of the election, saying that Trump
00:08:15.060 disrespected Canada on the late March phone call, talking about how we should become the
00:08:20.020 51st state.
00:08:21.260 Because you will remember, after that late March phone call at the time in March, Mark
00:08:26.560 Carney said he was perfectly respectful and we got along fine.
00:08:29.380 And then late in the campaign when he needed more juice, suddenly that phone call changed
00:08:34.380 and actually Donald Trump was breathing fire, had horns, and was talking about the fact
00:08:38.940 that not actually Canada shouldn't be the 51st state, it should be the 52nd state because
00:08:43.420 Greenland's going to be the 51st state.
00:08:46.360 You fell for it, guys.
00:08:48.140 There was nothing about this election that had anything to do with Donald Trump.
00:08:51.860 There was no unique position between the prime ministers on Donald Trump and the United
00:08:55.900 States.
00:08:56.280 If anything, Donald Trump didn't want Poliev because Poliev is probably going to be more
00:09:00.740 aggressive in negotiating with the United States and trying to find a way of having full free
00:09:06.420 trade between the countries.
00:09:08.360 Whereas Mark Carney, because he is a protectionist and wanting to basically hold on to the supply
00:09:14.280 management system for dear life, because that's where a lot of his vote comes from in Quebec,
00:09:19.140 that he was actually going to be a very easy mark for Donald Trump to negotiate with because
00:09:23.700 he himself is a hypocrite on trade and is in fact in favor of massive protectionism.
00:09:28.980 And so Trump can probably extract more benefits from Carney, who doesn't actually have a lot
00:09:34.460 of cards he's willing to play, whereas Pierre Poliev would be.
00:09:38.460 Regardless, though, it is more of an abstract comparison.
00:09:42.000 I just think that Pierre Poliev would be better.
00:09:44.500 Regardless, though, people should actually check out this article.
00:09:47.600 It's quite good.
00:09:48.720 Americans agree that Carney victory was their doing.
00:09:52.080 Tristan Hopper at the National Post wrote this article going over all of the American figures
00:09:57.200 and American politicians who are just happy that Mark Carney won because they're happy
00:10:02.680 that they were able to have an influence on the election and show that they actually have
00:10:06.320 a lot of soft power in Canada.
00:10:08.540 And the liberals, the liberal voter still thinks that they somehow got the good ending of this
00:10:15.140 election, that they voted the way that the Americans wanted them to vote for.
00:10:19.360 They voted in the way that allowed Americans to prove, see, we can make you do what we want.
00:10:23.880 I got to show you some of this other stuff.
00:10:27.360 One, I do like this gif of the fell for it again.
00:10:30.480 This is the average liberal swing voter who just fell for it again for the fourth time.
00:10:36.720 I do not have sympathy.
00:10:39.560 But this Judy Y person said, I know these are just random comments on X, but this is so
00:10:45.560 representative of the person in deep denial.
00:10:48.360 Here is Trump lying again, sowing division in his own country and around the world.
00:10:52.620 This person thinks that Donald Trump is still doing a bit and actually preferred Polyev.
00:10:58.220 No, Trump is not that kind of a guy.
00:11:00.480 Trump just says what he thinks.
00:11:02.440 Trump is not capable of guile.
00:11:04.920 And so when I see stuff like this, it's hilarious.
00:11:08.400 People think that, no, Trump's still keeping up the charade.
00:11:12.520 And he actually wanted Polyev to win.
00:11:14.120 No, no, he won Carney.
00:11:15.600 He told you people thought he was lying when in an interview with Laura Ingram and she was
00:11:20.400 saying, well, aren't you afraid that your comments are going to hurt Polyev and the conservatives?
00:11:24.420 He was like, no, no, I don't care.
00:11:26.080 That was Trump earnestly annoyed that she was even questioning him on it because that's
00:11:31.040 what he actually thinks.
00:11:33.440 And they still think.
00:11:35.140 Here is the funniest one.
00:11:36.900 Warren Kinsella, after Brian Lilly from the Toronto Sun tweeted out that video, Trump says
00:11:42.140 he'll have a great relationship with Cardi.
00:11:44.120 Warren Kinsella, who I believe crossed over to vote liberal because he had to oppose Donald
00:11:49.600 Trump, said, this is so messed up.
00:11:53.040 Warren, you fell for it.
00:11:55.800 You fell for it again.
00:11:57.840 You assumed that this guy, Mark Carney, was truly going to be the big repudiation against
00:12:05.420 Trump and Candid.
00:12:06.140 And he's going to go there and tell him what for.
00:12:08.900 You know, like I was saying, he's going to slap him across the face and push him out of
00:12:13.260 his chair at the Oval Office and say, you know what, you're going to go crawl on your
00:12:17.660 hands and knees to go get me a glass of water.
00:12:21.200 Wasn't going to happen, guys.
00:12:22.900 Next election, people should probably vote on issues.
00:12:26.140 People should probably vote on like the state of crime and housing and the economy.
00:12:31.360 Like, just try it.
00:12:32.300 It's fun when you vote for actual issues instead of voting for luxury political issues.
00:12:39.080 Like, what's Donald Trump going to think about our prime minister?
00:12:42.480 I don't care.
00:12:43.260 I also don't care what the president of Lesotho thinks of our prime minister.
00:12:47.540 I don't even know if they have a president or a prime minister or maybe they have a king.
00:12:50.840 I actually do think they have a king.
00:12:52.200 It doesn't matter.
00:12:54.000 It just matters what our domestic policy is going to be.
00:12:58.660 But you had, for some reason, a demographic of Canadians, if I can bring this up on screen,
00:13:03.900 who genuinely just decided, oh, I don't think I have it right here.
00:13:06.700 I think I can scroll down there.
00:13:07.560 Who just decided that their top issue was going to be Trump for some reason.
00:13:11.760 Not cost of living.
00:13:13.360 Not any of that boring stuff.
00:13:14.980 It was going to be this.
00:13:17.040 I've already showed this chart in a previous video.
00:13:20.740 But feast your eyes on this one.
00:13:23.700 So these are the different demographics age brackets.
00:13:26.980 18 to 29 is dark blue.
00:13:28.840 Green is 30 to 44.
00:13:30.380 Yellow is 45 to 56.
00:13:31.920 And 16 over is red.
00:13:33.060 Obviously, all of you watching this are conservative voters.
00:13:35.840 And you guys probably did not care about Donald Trump.
00:13:38.180 But look at this.
00:13:39.240 Dealing with Donald Trump, 60 plus voters, that was a 50% top issue for them.
00:13:44.040 I think you got a few choices on this chart, like one or two of your top issues.
00:13:48.840 And dealing with Donald Trump absolutely blasted reducing your cost of living, decimated making
00:13:54.520 housing more affordable, which actually was less than 10%, improving Canada's health care
00:13:58.780 system.
00:13:59.660 Who cares about all that stupid stuff?
00:14:02.220 We just need to do whatever is going to make someone on Fox News angry.
00:14:07.460 As if, again, they care.
00:14:09.500 They don't.
00:14:10.800 They don't.
00:14:11.340 You fell for it.
00:14:12.720 Anyway, so that's it for me today, guys.
00:14:15.700 I just wanted to put that all on the record.
00:14:17.980 Like, Donald Trump did affect the election.
00:14:20.760 And one could get mad at him.
00:14:22.740 I wish he wasn't talking about the 51st State stuff.
00:14:25.500 I didn't like the stupid trade war stuff.
00:14:27.200 I think it actually hurt him domestically to do that, too.
00:14:29.420 But at the end of the day, I could blame Trump, or I could treat Canadians like adults and
00:14:36.140 say that you should vote for serious issues rather than stupid luxury issues that are going
00:14:41.980 to impress your book club if you announce that I'm voting to stop fascism and Trump.
00:14:47.000 How about vote so that your kids can own a house?
00:14:49.420 That might be fun.
00:14:51.160 Anyways, so that's it.

00:14:59.220 And I will see you guys next time.
