Summary

Justin Trudeau's liberal government is falling apart, but the biggest story in the country is that Pierre Polyev is a very bad man. Because that s all the Liberals want to talk about, because that's all they care about right now, and because the only way to get rid of a guy like that is to make him a bad guy. And that's exactly what the Liberals are doing.

00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. If you've been following the news as a rational person over the last week, you would know that the top story is Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's liberal government falling apart.
00:00:12.520 But if you're in the liberal and NDP comms team, you would think that the biggest story in the country is that Pierre Polyev is a very bad man, because that's all they want to talk about, because obviously those two parties are doing absolutely trash in the polls right now, and they want to pretend that the conservatives are a big bad boogeyman, because only with that narrative can they potentially get some support back for themselves.
00:00:37.200 I'll tell you right now, it's not going to work. People don't like the liberals, and they don't like the NDP, because the NDP are just the liberals plus more dollar signs, and nobody is scared of cuts anymore.
00:00:48.480 There is not a single person in Canada who is terrified that the conservatives are going to get in, and they're going to be beholden to the greedy CEOs, or whatever the NDP is saying these days.
00:00:58.240 I want to get into the first post. It's a little bit more of a mild one, then let's move on to some egregious fear-mongering.
00:01:04.560 But before I get into it, guys, if you're not yet subscribed, please hit the subscribe button, like this video, and leave a comment if you can.
00:01:11.160 It helps in the algorithm, and I have a bet for next year in December, if I'm not at 100,000 subscribers, I owe all my friends dinner.
00:01:19.000 So, you know, either subscribe or befriend me so that I owe you dinner if I fail next year.
00:01:24.480 So, here is the first post from the NDP. Goodness, they have to fire their comms people. This is just childish nonsense.
00:01:33.400 And it's just not just because of the gingerbread thing and being a bit cartoony. It's that it's so out of touch with what the vast majority of people are thinking about right now, and the news people are consuming.
00:01:43.520 People care about what's going on with the liberals. They don't care about Jagmeet Singh taking shots at Polyev, who nobody sees as the problem because he's not the problem.
00:01:53.100 But this post says, an NDP government will look out for you, not wealthy CEOs. We will cut costs on your internet phone bills and home heating and more.
00:02:02.880 And we get to some more stuff from the NDP later, but the whole thing, the narrative is, is that we're the party of the working man's working people.
00:02:11.080 And Pierre Polyev is the guy who's going to, like, bootlick billionaires or whatever the current line they're using it is.
00:02:16.460 And it's so weak. It's so pathetic. But here's something pretty egregious.
00:02:22.380 Andrew Perez here, who is a strategy firm employee, I believe working for the liberals right now, says,
00:02:28.160 It's really disgusting to see the misogyny, Pierre Polyev hurls at talented female journalist Caitlin, who is this, Karen Colon, in this interview clip, simply for doing her job.
00:02:40.900 Wake up, Canada. This man has a consistent 20 to 25 point lead in public opinion polls.
00:02:46.300 We can't allow Pierre Polyev to win a federal election.
00:02:49.440 It's like, guys, maybe he's ahead by 20 to 25 points because he's not actually what you say he is.
00:02:56.980 Maybe we're about to watch this clip and find out that Pierre Polyev didn't randomly call her like a bent in the middle of the clip and that he, in fact, just disagreed with a woman.
00:03:07.240 But the liberals are still living in 2015 where you can get away with the idea if you disagree with a woman on the left for on a policy issue that that's somehow sexist.
00:03:17.160 For these programs. Well, the PharmaCare program hasn't given out a single jar of medication, a single pill.
00:03:24.520 The so-called dental care program, according to the government's own numbers, has not helped 97 percent of people.
00:03:32.540 Well, no, one million Canadians, more than one million Canadians have access to that program, have received coverage.
00:03:39.980 OK, I hate this. I hate this so much. I thought you're a journalist lady.
00:03:45.260 You're hosting a news show and you're just repeating liberal talking points.
00:03:48.940 No, a million people have gotten dental care since the program came into effect.
00:03:53.500 And technically, some portion of those people were using the universal dental care system, even though the vast majority of dentists won't take it because it's like a dentist working for minimum wage in order to take in clients who are using that program.
00:04:07.060 So and then Polyev is absolutely right.
00:04:09.120 Ninety seven percent of people are not helped by that program.
00:04:11.780 Already more than half of Canadians before the program came out had dental care.
00:04:16.140 And most people could get far better dental care by just paying 20 bucks extra a month in order to be able to get like a free teeth cleaning or two every year.
00:04:24.580 But no, the the like the liberal media is just pushing out the stupid statistic, this fake figure that a million people have been helped.
00:04:32.180 And even she very carefully words it to say that a million people who could have access use dental care in some way to that program.
00:04:40.300 Eighty nine percent of dentists in this country, according to government numbers, eighty nine percent of dentists in this country have signed up for the dental care program.
00:04:50.180 Would a conservative government got those programs?
00:04:54.120 Would a conservative government cut the dental care program?
00:04:56.480 Can you tell the one million Canadians who are right now receiving coverage under that plan whether or not they will continue to have coverage under a conservative?
00:05:05.180 Do we even have real statistics to show that a million people have actually used their government like the government fund to pay for it?
00:05:13.800 Because that should be very easy for the liberals to prove.
00:05:16.180 But we've never seen it.
00:05:17.080 We always see the very vaguely rolled out figure of a million people have accessed it since the program started.
00:05:22.900 And they just meant access dental care, not access the program to get dental care of government.
00:05:28.860 So, first of all, you've revealed your own bias in simply accepting government propaganda.
00:05:36.420 We don't know how many people.
00:05:37.660 Is that just because you say so, sir?
00:05:39.780 Is that just because you say so?
00:05:41.100 What evidence or data do you have that we cannot trust those numbers?
00:05:45.040 Oh, where do you want me to start?
00:05:48.320 You could start with Monday.
00:05:50.060 Were you awake on Monday?
00:05:52.080 Their deficit was 55% bigger than they said eight months ago.
00:05:57.240 So we can't trust what they say on financial numbers.
00:06:01.080 Their carbon tax was not supposed to go above 11 cents.
00:06:04.340 And then that's it.
00:06:05.580 But this is a thing that Andrew Perez said that that was a sexist clip, that he was being misogynistic to that journalist who's rolling out liberal propaganda points.
00:06:14.960 And expecting that pure poly is just going to accept them.
00:06:18.180 And now we have this absolute turkey of an ad out from the liberals.
00:06:23.060 Again, this is nine hours ago.
00:06:25.400 I'm not pulling something from two weeks ago to talk about.
00:06:27.920 This is nine hours ago.
00:06:29.920 The liberals are currently in a death spiral.
00:06:32.080 They are planning.
00:06:33.260 They're putting on their PJs to have a dirt nap.
00:06:35.800 And they roll out this ad as if it's like this is like what you do when you're on like the ascent.
00:06:43.000 When you're even close to winning.
00:06:45.600 This is the ad they rolled out to try and fearmonger against pure poly.
00:06:49.140 I'm sorry.
00:06:49.460 This is the way that they serve this up.
00:06:51.900 They say with pure poly cuts, you pay the price.
00:06:54.860 Check out our first TV ad for the 2025 election.
00:06:57.960 As a parent, you never stop worrying.
00:07:03.840 I heard that Polyev voted against $10 a day child care.
00:07:08.620 It keeps our family going.
00:07:11.000 Does he just not get it?
00:07:12.700 I heard Pierre Polyev has voted against more money for public health care.
00:07:20.980 Isn't it so funny that immediately the first two people who speak in this ad, it's put through the framing that I heard.
00:07:27.840 You're basically like saying the only way we can win is through rumor mongering.
00:07:31.840 Not somebody knows.
00:07:33.320 Not somebody is actually concerned that like he's going to do bad things, but they've heard.
00:07:37.780 And yeah, he's probably going to get rid of $10 a day child care and a lot of these other bloated programs.
00:07:42.180 Because guess what?
00:07:43.380 People can save more money in the long run by cutting big bloated government programs by making more money at work because taxes are lower, by saving more money, and by having price inflation like reduced.
00:07:55.360 The inflation of prices at least stop, if not reverse.
00:07:58.980 That's the point.
00:08:00.560 But these ads are made for people who are like economically illiterate.
00:08:04.060 And dental care.
00:08:05.980 If he's willing to make cuts to health care, what else is he willing to cut?
00:08:11.580 It also is just such a weirdly like, like long stare.
00:08:15.540 She's like in the middle of cooking.
00:08:17.080 Everyone's just like cutting vegetables.
00:08:18.960 And like, she's like, Veronica, Veronica, are you okay?
00:08:23.360 Veronica, are you like zoning out again and worrying about Polyev?
00:08:25.580 Like, what is this ad?
00:08:27.220 All these people are like histrionically like having meltdowns internally.
00:08:30.840 Maybe next year we'll be hosting in our own home.
00:08:35.340 But when I hear that Polyev voted against support for first-time homebuyers, it feels like a big risk.
00:08:45.840 It would be funny if they just cut to the kid and he's like, I'm a child.
00:08:48.880 I don't have any political opinions.
00:08:49.840 I've worked hard my entire life.
00:08:55.080 And at this age, I don't want to worry about Polyev cutting pensions or raising the retirement age again.
00:09:01.540 When did they ever cut pensions?
00:09:03.840 They raised the retirement age because the pensions were becoming very expensive over time.
00:09:09.700 And people didn't have that many kids.
00:09:10.980 In order to actually be able to afford to pay all these people's pensions.
00:09:15.160 Because people used to not live nearly as long.
00:09:17.580 The funny thing in Prussia back in the day, when Bismarck had introduced their pension program, you had to live to like 67 to even access it.
00:09:25.720 And most people didn't live that long.
00:09:27.620 And now people live into their 80s and 90s.
00:09:29.920 And they get their pensions since they're like 65.
00:09:32.900 Obviously, back in the conservative government, they could do math.
00:09:36.020 And they're like, okay, well, you're going to have to work a couple more years to get your pension.
00:09:39.980 You don't even have to work a couple more years.
00:09:41.680 You could just retire at 65, live on some savings, and then start accessing your pension two years later.
00:09:47.580 But they've never actually cut pensions.
00:09:50.080 They've made you wait a little bit longer to make the math line up.
00:09:53.500 But they've never actually cut a single pension.
00:09:56.560 But this advertising is hoping that you don't know what you're talking about.
00:10:00.880 And that you just think that they're going to slash your pension by a couple hundred bucks a month.
00:10:11.700 It's just a bad ad.
00:10:13.280 Like, there's nothing, there's no energy at all to what the liberals are doing.
00:10:16.800 But I want to check in a little bit more with the NDP, because they've been posting some weird stuff today.
00:10:22.000 I actually follow, for some reason, I follow the NDP's email list just to see what they say to their own people.
00:10:29.260 I have received three emails today, them asking for money, and like asking for quite a bit of money compared to what they usually do, because they're just flat out admitting that they're like $200,000 short of their fundraising goal for the end of the year.
00:10:43.520 And let me say, their fundraising goal isn't even that good.
00:10:46.340 They're like $200,000 from getting to like half a million for the year.
00:10:49.640 They've raised like absolutely nothing, squat, this entire year.
00:10:53.960 They might have like a few million, but I mean, like, they want to have $500,000 on hand.
00:10:59.000 Most of the year, they've been mostly for fundraising just to pay off debt.
00:11:02.480 Now they're starting to build up a little bit of cash towards the next election.
00:11:06.080 The NDP are so broke, they might have to start picking and choosing which incumbents they're even willing to fundraise for, or else those incumbents just have to go to the local area to try and get some money.
00:11:15.280 But here's what Jagmeet Singh said yesterday, again, he just keeps repeating the same line as if it's gonna, it hasn't helped him at all.
00:11:24.600 He's been doing this for three weeks.
00:11:25.840 His polling's down.
00:11:27.360 He says, bootlicker for billionaires.
00:11:29.540 Why don't you tell Canadians what you were up to weeks, a week, a week ago, Pierre?
00:11:33.840 Actually, I'll do it.
00:11:35.080 A closed door fundraiser in a $17 million mansion in one of Toronto's swankiest areas.
00:11:40.580 Tell us, Pierre, which CEOs did you meet?
00:11:43.300 What did you promise to them?
00:11:44.620 And it's like, oh, Pierre Polyev's cozying up to Canada's far-right bro-ligarchs.
00:11:50.480 No, who cares?
00:11:52.480 Oh, he talked to people who have money?
00:11:54.720 Who could guess why he would talk to people who have money?
00:11:57.000 It's almost like they can donate more.
00:11:59.320 Even then, they can only donate $1,700.
00:12:02.060 Do you think that, do you think Pierre Polyev is controlled by people who are giving $1,700 donations?
00:12:09.300 The NDP has people who donate $1,700.
00:12:11.880 Here's actually a great clip of Jagmeet Singh basically admitting to people on the streets in, I believe, Burnaby, that there isn't probably not even going to be an election until after March.
00:12:22.340 Because he's explaining that the NDP might not even get its opposition days until way later in March.
00:12:29.920 So each party gets opposition days where they get to table stuff.
00:12:34.100 They get to do a lot of things in the House of Commons.
00:12:36.400 Basically, they have free reign for a day to sort of like propose bills and whatnot and make statements and put forward petitions.
00:12:43.320 The Conservatives get a lot of opposition days because they are the official opposition.
00:12:46.820 And the NDP has to wait sometimes weeks at a time to get an opposition day.
00:12:51.240 And here, Jagmeet Singh is like slow walking out that he is going to very much delay as long as possible actually having that no confidence vote against Trudeau's Liberals that he's promised.
00:13:02.620 So when is the election going to happen?
00:13:04.880 So I guess the first day we have will be sometime, it depends on when we get our day, our opposition day.
00:13:11.460 So it'll be sometime between when we come back to government or when we come back to parliament.
00:13:16.320 Yeah, so January.
00:13:17.640 Between January and it should be in February.
00:13:21.380 The earliest it could be, depending on when we get our date.
00:13:24.420 It could be between January and the latest could be March.
00:13:28.420 There's always some time between that.
00:13:29.540 So our date is scheduled, but sometimes they change it on us.
00:13:33.840 The earliest it could be, so end of January, when we come back, depends on when we get our slot.
00:13:41.460 So we have one opposition day motion and we're basically going to use it for this.
00:13:48.960 But how long does that actually mean that they're waiting for?
00:13:52.660 Because if we wait until March, and he's not even saying early March, it's just March.
00:13:56.680 If it's late March, well, good for Jagme Singh, he gets his pension in February.
00:14:01.440 But it's March.
00:14:02.860 In theory, if it's the end of March, there could potentially not be an election until like midway through June or something like that.
00:14:10.420 Trudeau also gets to pick how long the election period is going to be.
00:14:14.980 Like in the snap election in 2021, he picked like the minimum amount of days that he had to.
00:14:20.680 You have to give at least some amount of time during the rip period.
00:14:23.580 So I believe the minimum he chose was like 29 days.
00:14:26.740 But like in 2015, like Harper, Justin Trudeau could pick a very long election period time and go like 52 days or like 45 days.
00:14:35.340 And even though the liberals don't have the budget of the conservatives, the longer period of time allows him to do more media and stay in office longer.
00:14:42.880 And I think that's also the same game that Jagme Singh is playing because that guy does not want an election.
00:14:47.940 The only way he is staying on as the NDP leader is if he comes second place in terms of seats and he gets to pretend that now I'm the official opposition.
00:14:55.900 I've proven myself I'm going to be prime minister one day.
00:14:58.700 He's only going to if he even wins the second most seats, it's going to be a massive fluke.
00:15:03.100 I give the Bloc Habakkuk a better chance and I still give the liberals a better chance to get more seats than the NDP.
00:15:08.560 And if the NDP does get the most, it's a fluke.
00:15:10.900 It's just that everyone else sucked more than them and the conservatives took all the other seats.
00:15:15.780 Anyways, but that's it for me today, guys.
00:15:19.080 So it's really pathetic out there.
00:15:20.720 Remember, subscribe to the channel, like the video, leave a comment, and I'll be back tomorrow with another video.
