Justin Trudeau's Liberals are not like old liberals. They don't care about your personal finances, they care about the government's finances. They want you to think about your own personal finances and protect them with your vote. And that's the exact way they're trying to attack the Conservatives these days.

00:00:00.000 I just noticed these two things a little bit ago, and I think they really highlight the big problem with Justin Trudeau's liberal government and why they're not like old liberals.
00:00:10.180 They're not like the 90s liberals who actually cared about the economy and the individual.
00:00:14.800 The liberals of the modern day under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau simply care about the government, and they want you to think about the government most of the time, too.
00:00:23.160 They don't want you to care about your own personal finances.
00:00:25.700 They want you to think about the government finances and protect them with your vote.
00:00:30.200 And that is the exact way that they're trying to attack the conservatives these days.
00:00:33.920 But before I get to their attack on pure poly and the conservatives, I just want to show you this chart.
00:00:39.780 It's not going to shock you at all, but I just want it to be in your minds.
00:00:43.600 This is what is driving most Canadian growth in terms of the economy.
00:00:48.200 We have mostly the economy running off of increased public sector spending.
00:00:54.020 That is it.
00:00:54.960 If you look at this chart, there's even areas of our economy that are down.
00:00:58.100 Mining and oil and gas extraction and construction are down in Canada, and construction's down.
00:01:04.380 Think about that.
00:01:05.600 The liberals are supposedly super proud of their housing policy, and the construction sector is right now contracting, no matter how much money the liberal government throws at it.
00:01:14.600 It's almost like high taxes, bad local laws, and a lot of other federal interference is making it so it's harder to build in Canada, so why bother?
00:01:24.560 No matter how much the money the Housing Acceleration Fund has in it and how much the liberals are willing to shill out, nobody wants to build in Canada.
00:01:31.800 And obviously, the oil and gas industry is suffering under the attack of the liberals, but it's mostly just public sector spending or growing the economy in Canada, which means it's fake growth.
00:01:43.260 We are living in a fake subsidy economy.
00:01:46.060 Any increases in the GDP of our country these days in the last four or five years have pretty much just been the liberals injecting money into industries that don't deserve it or hiring government workers.
00:01:56.860 And I guarantee this doesn't even technically count subsidies. It's probably baked into the industry that the subsidies were put into.
00:02:04.600 Anyways, but this is something that the liberal government thinks that you as a Canadian need to deeply value.
00:02:10.640 The government spending should be treated like it was your household spending.
00:02:14.380 Don't care that you might be going bankrupt, that you have a hard time paying for food, gasoline, and all the other essentials of life.
00:02:21.040 That's a side issue.
00:02:22.420 You starving to death, that's just, that's ancillary.
00:02:26.620 Don't think about that. 0.99
00:02:27.780 Think about that after you're dead.
00:02:29.600 The liberals think, and this is where it goes to the attack on Polyev, that you are going to fight tooth and nail to save bloated government programs. 0.99
00:02:38.120 And they keep pushing this stupid line that you're going to because, you know, the conservatives are going to cut spending.
00:02:44.580 This is something the liberals actually posted on X, so just showing you the post first before I load up the video. 0.95
00:02:49.700 They think that you, because the conservatives are going to cut spending, you are going to take that personally and fight to maintain the bloated liberal federal government spending.
00:02:59.580 Check this out.
00:03:00.180 This is something they want you to be deeply upset about.
00:03:02.560 I'm just wondering when you say about cutting the supplementary spending.
00:03:07.640 In your view, does that include the newly signed child care agreements with most of the provinces?
00:03:12.260 We've said we do not believe in a $100 billion slush fund, a $100 billion slush fund.
00:03:20.780 Yes.
00:03:21.540 The Canadians are about to turn on Pierre Polyev because he doesn't like the bloated $10 a day child care program.
00:03:27.600 And guys, it's not $10 a day child care.
00:03:30.360 What it is, is that the person accessing the child care pays $10 and then people subsidize them.
00:03:35.600 Regardless if you are in need of the child care and whether or not you can afford it or not, like, you know, like Johnny taxpayer gets to pay for your child care because the liberals think that that is more valuable than other people's personal finances.
00:03:49.480 And the liberals think with their lagging polling numbers, their polling numbers are absolutely in the gutter these days.
00:03:55.780 And they think that you are going to get ticked off with the conservatives trying to make the federal government live within its means.
00:04:03.160 That what you would do in your own personal life if you were in debt is cut your own spending, try and generate more revenue, work a little bit more, sell things that you don't need.
00:04:12.160 That's deeply evil for the government to have to consider doing.
00:04:15.840 And it's so nasty that the conservatives would think about cutting DEI programs, HR, would reduce immigration, would get rid of the bloating, housing acceleration fund, $10 a day child care.
00:04:26.680 It's deeply necessary.
00:04:28.800 And I think that it's a practice that Canadians need to see done hard and fast, that we're not going to cut around the corners as conservatives and try to make people all feel comfy the way Jason Kenney did when he became the premier of Alberta.
00:04:40.920 No, you need Ralph Klein, John Chrétien, you know, liberals used to be like this, John Chrétien style cuts.
00:04:47.920 You need to cut like 25% of the federal government budget if the conservatives get it.
00:04:52.980 Anyways, that should be it for me today.
00:04:54.780 I just wanted to highlight this.
00:04:56.000 I find it so obnoxious how much of the liberal party's propaganda effectively revolves around trying to like make Canadians like militant defenders of big government.
00:05:07.500 That the Canadians should think about the government before they even think about themselves.
00:05:12.960 But I want to quickly shamelessly plug the fact that I, Wyatt Claypool, am running for the Calgary Signal Hill Conservative Party nomination.
00:05:20.140 If you live in the riding of Calgary Signal Hill, buy a membership.
00:05:23.700 This is what the riding boundaries will look like after the riding boundaries change in April.
00:05:28.360 This is on the west side of Calgary.
00:05:29.620 So check if you live in this area, buy a membership, check out my website, WyattClaypool.com, or consider donating to the TNT Legal Fund, also linked in the Give, Send, Go link in the description below.
