The National Telegraph - Wyatt Claypool - Ontario Teacher's Union Is Trying To Claim Children Are Racist And Sexist

00:00:00.000 the elementary teachers federation of ontario has been releasing some absolutely nutty content

00:00:04.720 that they want being taught to children and i wanted to cover it here today for the national

00:00:08.640 telegram of course this might not be the biggest story on the planet of course everyone kind of

00:00:13.200 knows that teacher unions tend to lean very hard left and they of course believe in a lot of the

00:00:18.400 woke politics of the liberal party and the ndp but i think the etfo here actually deserves to have

00:00:25.760 a little bit more scrutiny put to them because they've released this new content that they've

00:00:30.560 sort of stapled onto their old lesson plan package they released in 2010 it's called like the re

00:00:35.840 uh i think it's like rethink reconnect and reimagine lesson plan baggage but this new part like the

00:00:44.480 old parts were already bad enough this new one is trying to teach children about white privilege and

00:00:50.080 sexism in such a way where i think any parent who sees this content would realize that what the etfo

00:00:57.440 is doing is essentially giving teachers instructions on how to manipulate children and make them feel

00:01:02.480 like bad people essentially shaming them with little kind of social games to make children believe that

00:01:10.640 they've somehow done something wrong it's using a very kind of gross form of guile in order to teach

00:01:17.440 a lesson which i feel like if you were teaching a good lesson you wouldn't even attempt to use in

00:01:21.840 the first place no one really you don't trick a child into learning a good something that's good

00:01:27.280 for them to know if you're tricking someone into doing something you're obviously up to no good at

00:01:32.800 least in my estimation this is the front page of the rethink reconnect and reimagine lesson plan

00:01:39.520 package that the etfo put out i think that any ontario parent who would read something like this

00:01:44.320 would immediately get the distinct impression that whoever designed it is a cultural marxist or

00:01:50.080 radical leftist the package constantly promotes the idea that equity is better than equality that

00:01:56.720 somehow the ontario academic system is colonialist and racist while at the same time it constantly

00:02:04.160 pushes the notion that certain children of different ethnic backgrounds can't learn the same way

00:02:09.120 which frankly to me seems extremely racist to act as if someone because someone is indigenous or

00:02:14.960 because someone is black or because someone's asian or because someone's white that they don't learn the

00:02:19.840 same way as a certain types of thinking are reserved for people of different skin colors it's extremely

00:02:26.720 strange but what i want to highlight most of all is the second uh little piece of uh of information that

00:02:33.920 i didn't dig up but an ontario teacher found here it is and i just want to read it out for everyone

00:02:40.800 because i think that just hearing it it should just be sending alarm bells off in your head of how wrong

00:02:46.160 this should be to teach to children so here it goes this is the best person in the world lesson plan

00:02:52.320 and this instructs teachers to have students brainstorm qualities that the best person in the world would

00:02:58.080 have using the prompts in appendix e write them on the board have each student think of three examples

00:03:03.840 of who might be the best person in the world tell them the people who can be famous or known to them

00:03:08.560 personally can be living or dead real or fictional ask students to share who they think are the best

00:03:14.080 person people in the world write them on the board if a student shares people like mom or police officer

00:03:19.600 you can just have a category rather than the name on it of an individual once you have filled the board with

00:03:25.040 names students are free to share more than their original three as they think of additional

00:03:29.360 examples underline all the men it will usually be a majority now i'm just going to stop reading

00:03:35.280 right there for a second just to reflect on how absurd all that is the etfo is describing this as

00:03:42.640 like sort of a statistical game to play with kids and if the kids pick a majority of men oh the

00:03:48.240 teachers got them they're going to go after little jimmy for somehow being a sexist because he picked

00:03:53.280 more men than women which is silly because unless the kids picked 50 names and 25 of them were men and

00:04:00.640 25 of them were women you're going to have a majority of one gender or the other and so what if they

00:04:06.240 happen to most of the time pick a few more men than women or even 10 more men than women just let the 1.00

00:04:12.000 kids pick whoever they thought of stop trying to control what they think it's kind of gross

00:04:16.480 going back to the lesson plan package it says ask the students if they notice what the underlying

00:04:22.960 people have in common discuss why they name so many men explain male privilege then underline in

00:04:28.560 another color all the people who are white ask what they have in common if the list has a gender and

00:04:34.320 race balance discuss why their list differs so greatly from another classroom where this lesson has been

00:04:40.160 used in most cases the majority of the names generated are white males ask students what the term white

00:04:46.160 privilege means to them this is a laughable question to ask students because of course the etfo doesn't 0.59

00:04:52.080 care what they think about white privilege and they're really just posing the question to make

00:04:56.080 it seem like the kids aren't being indoctrinated when in reality white privilege has one definition

00:05:01.360 because it's a cultural marxist creation and that's what the teacher is going to end up teaching the

00:05:06.160 class by the end i think any parent who reads this specific lesson plan example would find it quite

00:05:12.400 disgusting on two different fronts one they're trying to teach children to constantly see race

00:05:18.000 to enter a room note people's races and act accordingly based on that and not based on who

00:05:23.120 people are as individuals whether you share things in common with them whether they're nice to you or

00:05:28.080 not uh and other sorts of things like that no no you're supposed to treat them differently because of

00:05:33.600 what they look like and uh what sex they are it it's quite disgusting and i don't think any parent would 0.99

00:05:40.320 would disagree with that but on top of that what they're doing with teachers is that they're

00:05:45.040 encouraging teachers to be manipulative to start off with a seemingly normal sounding lesson plan

00:05:50.800 we're going to talk about the best people in the world what kind of traits that they have and how we

00:05:55.840 can emulate them and flipping the script halfway through and saying okay yeah we're talking about 0.98

00:06:00.400 the best people in the world but did you know that you're a terrible person oh you were born white 1.00

00:06:04.400 well then that means you're somehow imbued with a certain sense of race is more you're indigenous well 0.98

00:06:08.240 that means you can't achieve as much and you need more assistance it's it's essentially not only

00:06:13.920 manipulative but it's manipulative on behalf of something that's not even academic it's it's it's

00:06:19.760 quite gross uh radical left-wing politics that they're teaching at the same time that this is

00:06:26.000 not training kids for the future at all it's probably hurting their abilities to succeed at the

00:06:30.480 same time they're just not you know learning how to read write and do math this is something that's a

00:06:35.680 complete waste of time as well as it's probably damaging kids socially i i wouldn't doubt that a

00:06:41.120 lot of kids who went through this lesson plan would be quite stressed out afterwards and feel kind of

00:06:46.160 ashamed of themselves because kids don't realize that this teacher believes in a strange form of

00:06:51.520 social politics where they think for some reason everyone's race determines where they are in life

00:06:56.640 and nothing has to do with uh with who what you do as an individual or your own merit or the multiple

00:07:02.960 factors that go into your own personal background it's all because of race the kids don't understand

00:07:08.000 that that's a very fringe and weird thing to believe so they're not going to be able to tune

00:07:11.760 this out it's the adult in the room they're teaching them i'm going to believe them because

00:07:15.520 of course our kids are going to believe whoever their teacher is because what like how how miserable

00:07:20.240 would that be you enter a room and you just think that your teacher is a nutcase well every every

00:07:24.560 kid's just going to inherently trust the teacher because it's the adult in the room and with their own

00:07:28.720 parents they're sort of uh trained to trust the adult because you should be able to trust adults

00:07:33.760 but it seems like we can't anymore because the etfo wants every single teacher to be a secret cultural

00:07:39.520 marxist agent it's it's ridiculous and when you look at the etfo's website uh it's very clear that

00:07:46.000 they're really into this stuff that they will not that they absolutely love all these kind of weird

00:07:52.320 identity-based issues and all sort of even to show you the front page of that website now because it's

00:07:57.440 ridiculous how much content related to these issues there is

00:08:03.920 so here's the front page of the etfo's website and when you highlight social justice you get this 0.77

00:08:09.200 big drop down menu with stuff like disability programs anti-black racism anti-asian racism

00:08:14.640 islamophobia anti-semitism all that kinds of stuff indigenous stuff and i don't think anyone would 1.00

00:08:19.760 disagree that while both disability programs are great it's actually kind of admirable if ecfo promotes

00:08:25.840 specific programs or goes the extra mile to help kids with disabilities or that it's it's like no

00:08:32.160 one would disagree that's wrong to teach it that intolerance and racism are are bad but the problem

00:08:37.680 is we've just gone over a lesson plan example that showed that they actually don't care about racism in

00:08:43.600 any substantial way because they teach kids to view race they teach kids to be racist but just be racist

00:08:50.720 in the way that the etfo likes you have to just basically follow the etso's oppression hierarchy

00:08:56.960 certain kids are better than others certain kids are privileged and benefit from our racist system

00:09:02.160 more than others so that's how their version of of like uh racism works that they think that someone

00:09:09.360 might be racist because they occupy this innocuous position in society that is apparently racist because

00:09:17.600 of the person's skin color or whatever that's what they're looking at i don't doubt that they would 0.68

00:09:22.880 go through something like anti-black racism and it would start just being a bunch of equity nonsense

00:09:27.680 again where they're just talking about how if certain people don't occupy enough positions in

00:09:32.560 in society that somehow there is racism in society they wouldn't be talking about real racism or

00:09:37.760 intolerance one because those are quite easy to solve stop talking about race stop seeing race and stop

00:09:42.880 judging people based on their faith or ethnicity it's incredibly straightforward but the fact that

00:09:48.560 they have so many categories on this website probably proves that they have this really convoluted

00:09:53.840 marxist way of looking at uh like oppression of rich issues around oppression uh racism and stuff like

00:10:01.600 that i i don't think any parent would trust these people based on the content that they've released to

00:10:07.280 try and teach their kids why racism is bad because they probably only make kids more racist in the process

00:10:12.320 because the vast vast vast majority of kids in this world are not racist especially in north america

00:10:18.160 yeah the for some reason the like etfo members think that if we don't absolutely shove this stuff

00:10:26.240 down kids throats they're going to come out racist which is really funny because all they want to do is

00:10:31.440 talk about race and get kids to obsess about it but whatever i guess i'm not a i'm not a curriculum

00:10:37.040 expert like they probably employ at the etfo thanks for watching the first breakdown video

00:10:42.960 i've ever made for the national telegraph i'm going to be trying to do more of these in the

00:10:46.320 future covering either undercover topics or going deeper on ones where they've only been skimmed on

00:10:51.520 the surface uh hopefully you guys like this make suggestions in the comments of what i can do

00:10:56.160 next time and i guess just like subscribe and share uh this video and follow the national telegraph

00:11:01.920 where even wherever you can find us on twitter facebook telegram i'll link that in description

00:11:07.840 and i guess until next time
