00:00:00.000 Just a quick question. One of my reporters saw you at a Langley event just a couple of days ago, and we were just wondering what your opinion was about central bank digital currency.
00:00:10.000 Against it.
00:00:11.000 Absolutely? Yeah.
00:00:12.000 Would you be willing to potentially pass legislation during the use of central bank digital currencies in the future?
00:00:17.000 I'm open to it. I have decided if legislation is the right tool, to have it happen you need the approval of the finance minister.
00:00:24.000 The finance minister literally owns the central bank, and so it comes down to the finance minister who works with the prime minister.
00:00:31.000 So I have to figure out whether legislation is appropriate and necessary, and I'm sure it is.
