Jagmeet Singh is the new leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada, and he's not even close to being a serious contender to replace Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister of Canada. In fact, if anything, he's a complete joke.

00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. While the Liberal Party of Canada is in the process of dumping
00:00:06.460 Justin Trudeau as their leader, I think somebody who has not been given the attention they deserve
00:00:12.220 is federal NDP leader Jagmeet Singh. It's like because Trudeau is so crushingly unpopular
00:00:18.540 that we just assume that Jagmeet Singh is significantly more popular, and he really
00:00:24.320 isn't. He is secretly undergoing the same leadership issues that Justin Trudeau just got
00:00:30.520 destroyed by. There is a large portion of NDP voters who think that Jagmeet Singh is the wrong
00:00:37.260 leader to take them into the 2025 federal election, which is almost equivalent to the amount of
00:00:42.680 liberals who wanted Justin Trudeau to go. Check out these results right here. The question from
00:00:49.400 Angus Reid here is, the NDP would be doing better with voters if Jagmeet Singh were not the leader.
00:00:55.440 All Canadians, 56% agree with that statement, 23% disagree with it. Committed NDP voters, 42%
00:01:04.460 agree that the NDP would be doing better if Jagmeet Singh was not the leader, 41% disagree.
00:01:11.460 Definitely consider voting NDP, 42% agree, 37% disagree.
00:01:17.980 So let's look at this number specifically. Committed NDP voters. These are people who are
00:01:23.960 going to be voting NDP. They're decided, they're going for the NDP. And half of those people,
00:01:31.920 like leaving out those who are undecided, 42% do not think that Jagmeet Singh is the right leader to
00:01:38.960 be leading the NDP into the next federal election. That's insane. That is literally the same numbers
00:01:44.960 that Justin Trudeau had inside the Liberal Party in December of people thinking if he should stay on
00:01:50.780 or step down. What? How is this guy actually able to persist on? He's already lost two federal elections
00:01:59.340 as the NDP leader. They did even worse than Thomas Mulcair did in 2015 when Singh was leading them in
00:02:05.460 2019. And he only recovered like a couple of seats in 2021 out of like a fluke of voting. Just because if
00:02:13.560 you have the same election done year after year, even if the polls haven't shifted, you're going to
00:02:17.940 go up by a couple of seats or down by a couple of seats just based on what the turnout looks like.
00:02:22.840 And this guy is going to get his third kick at the can. Why? The biggest tragedy for the NDP
00:02:29.620 would in fact be if they came in second place from again, just a fluke of vote allocations and ended
00:02:36.240 up getting like 60 seats or something like that and coming in second place like a little bit in front of
00:02:41.040 the block because that would mean that it would be hard for them to actually dump Jagmeet Singh as the leader
00:02:45.960 because he can say, hey, guys, I got us our second second place placing ever. And I'm just like Jack
00:02:52.980 Leighton now, even though he has none of the charisma and zero of the integrity. He is the Maserati
00:02:59.620 Marxist. He literally cannot take off his $14,000 Rolex watch despite even when he's sitting in committee
00:03:07.460 meetings trying to attack billionaires and people who are like bad because I guess they make money,
00:03:13.560 even though they've created countless more jobs than Jagmeet Singh ever has. In fact, Jagmeet Singh
00:03:19.320 has only helped our economy lose jobs because he's absolutely incompetent like all socialists are when
00:03:25.860 it comes to economics. In just a second here, I just want to jump into some videos of Singh to really
00:03:31.260 highlight my point about just how unlikable he is as a leader. He's sanctimonious. Who wants this guy?
00:03:37.920 He's just Justin Trudeau with the color orange, basically. But before I get into that, I just
00:03:43.420 want to remind you guys, hey, like this video. If you like the channel, subscribe to the channel,
00:03:49.140 leave a comment, whatever you think. I always like to scroll through and see what people's takes are on
00:03:53.600 the issues I talk about. I sometimes respond to people, sometimes don't. Obviously, when I get several
00:03:58.780 hundred comments, it's hard for me to respond to everybody. But I always do make sure to scroll
00:04:02.760 through a few times on every new video and just see where people are at. But here is what Jagmeet Singh
00:04:09.000 just said yesterday on the issue about Trump threatening tariffs. He says, look, here's the deal.
00:04:16.100 Sounding very much like Joe Biden here. If you really care about protecting our country and Canadian
00:04:20.580 jobs, commit to responding to Trump's threats with retaliatory tariffs. I've already committed to doing so.
00:04:26.340 Will you, Pierre? Okay. That's not going to save any jobs. Plus, again, this is coming from the guy
00:04:32.780 who has helped Canada's economy lose jobs because he supports higher regulations, higher taxation.
00:04:39.760 He backed the Liberals' increase on the capital gains inclusion rate above $250,000, which is going
00:04:45.880 to make businesses and individuals less likely to invest back into the economy. And he's here to try
00:04:51.780 and shame Polyev because he hasn't committed to retaliatory tariffs rather than Canada just coming
00:04:57.920 up with a coherent trade stance in order to, you know, basically meet a middle ground with the
00:05:03.380 Americans. That's literally what we should be doing. But Jagmeet Singh is looking for votes. So he's
00:05:08.040 pumping the anti-American well, trying to see if he can get more people to vote for him because he's the
00:05:13.100 anti-Trump guy. Who? No. Nobody, like, does anyone actually think that Jagmeet Singh understands what
00:05:21.180 our economy needs or how to negotiate a trade deal? This guy thinks that business growth is bad. He
00:05:28.620 demonizes people who make massive amounts of money and invest in our economy and create jobs.
00:05:33.440 I don't trust him. Again, he's backed the Liberals on every stupid economic policy they've had over 0.99
00:05:40.240 the past four or five years since 2019. Here's Jagmeet Singh in another video. It says Jagmeet Singh 0.99
00:05:48.020 strikes back at Trump's threats. Oh, yes. I guarantee Trump is very scared of Jagmeet Singh. He says,
00:05:54.820 I'm issuing a challenge today for anyone running to be prime minister. I've committed that Canada would
00:05:59.780 respond to Trump's threats with retaliatory tariffs. That's how you respond to a bully with
00:06:04.620 strength. You fight fire with fire to protect Canadian workers and their jobs. Really, you don't.
00:06:12.080 What you do is you stop taking Trump's threats seriously in the sense that Trump's not trying
00:06:18.400 to make hand of the 51st state. Trump's not actually going to put a 25% tariff on us if we just take
00:06:24.420 border security seriously. But Jagmeet Singh sees votes in his eyes of people who might vote for him
00:06:30.540 if he goes super anti-Trump. And so instead of saying, yeah, we need to patrol the border,
00:06:35.340 but we need the Americans to patrol their side too, which would be a good position of strength.
00:06:40.220 Poliev has said that. Yes, we should increase border security, but the Americans should too.
00:06:45.480 But instead, Jagmeet Singh doesn't want to do that. And he wants to get into an economic war
00:06:49.520 with the United States that, let's be clear, Canada would lose. I like Canada. I'm a Canadian
00:06:55.860 patriot. But I'm not going to pretend that our country, the 10th of the size of the U.S.,
00:07:00.160 is going to be able to outmuscle the U.S., especially when Trump gets into office and
00:07:04.700 reduces taxes for people who manufacture directly in the United States. If Jagmeet Singh cared about
00:07:10.520 our economy, he'd be looking to reduce regulations, reduce taxes, get rid of the carbon tax. But he
00:07:16.380 doesn't actually care about the economy. He only cares about the public sector economy because he
00:07:21.600 is a new Democratic politician. I have a video coming out tomorrow where I interview this guy,
00:07:28.080 Julian Newman. He used to be an NDP staffer under Jack Layton and Thomas Mulcair. And he gives a good
00:07:34.400 inside scoop of what insiders really think about Jagmeet Singh. Watch out for that tomorrow because
00:07:40.300 NDP insiders do not like Jagmeet Singh at all. They think he is as pedantic as conservatives do.
00:07:46.380 And they would really like him to be replaced by, you know, someone who at least has somewhat of a
00:07:51.620 clue about economics, like a Jack Layton, Tom Mulcair figure who, although I would never vote for
00:07:57.340 them, they understand the economy somewhat. They wouldn't absolutely crash the economy. But Jagmeet
00:08:03.840 Singh is going and walking in the same footsteps as a man like David Eby, who is a complete socialist
00:08:09.460 and doesn't actually care about economic growth. They just care about hating rich people, basically.
00:08:16.300 And this is all reflected the what Julian Newman is going to tell us tomorrow in the interview by the
00:08:21.420 fact that NDP voters, when you poll them, committed NDP voters, not even likely, but committed NDP
00:08:28.040 voters, 42 to 41 percent think he's the wrong leader for them. Again, this is Justin Trudeau numbers.
00:08:34.880 And somehow, like, Jagmeet Singh is still surviving as their leader after losing two elections. At least
00:08:41.180 Justin Trudeau won his elections. My goodness. Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys. Again,
00:08:47.740 check out that interview tomorrow. Like this video. Subscribe to the channel. And I'll see you guys
00:08:52.340 in the next video I release.
