00:00:00.000 Hey guys, Wyatt Claypool here. It may be a new year, but Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is still
00:00:07.020 the same man he was in 2024. Narcissistic, won't listen to anyone, and absolutely terrible at his
00:00:14.320 job. And now it looks like the Quebec Liberal Caucus has turned on him, according to sources
00:00:20.400 that were talking to the mainstream media. You can see here it says, Quebec Liberal Caucus wants
00:00:25.560 Trudeau to resign sources. Quebec Caucus Chair Stephen Lazon consulted with MPs individually
00:00:31.880 over the holidays. Sources tell CBC News, and if you go through it, basically all of them are
00:00:38.480 absolutely terrified they could lose their seats and don't know why Justin Trudeau staying on is
00:00:44.200 going to benefit them at all. The thing we always have to remember with all the Liberals coming after
00:00:49.240 Trudeau now is they're not doing this because suddenly they realize that he's bad for the
00:00:53.660 country. No, they realize that he's bad for their growing pensions, he's bad for their re-election
00:00:59.900 bids, he's bad for their reputations. Not that they weren't on board with him the entire time up to this
00:01:06.340 point, he just became inconvenient to be around. But then again, whenever you look at the Liberals'
00:01:12.740 leadership hypothetical polling, who could they actually replace him with? I want to make a separate
00:01:18.600 video at some point over this absolutely abysmal article Mark Carney released in the Globe and Mail
00:01:23.740 about what we can look forward to in 2025. It is utter garbage. It is pablum. You read it and you're
00:01:32.420 like, this man has gotten a lobotomy. He actually just thinks marketing speak is appealing to people.
00:01:38.320 It's not. Anyways, but let's go into why is Justin Trudeau sticking around? Because you'd think
00:01:44.720 Quebec caucuses against him. How else could he move forward? The Atlantic caucus of the Liberal
00:01:51.680 Party just released a letter saying they want him to resign. That's another massive stronghold of
00:01:56.520 support for the Liberals. But now the Quebec caucus, the province where Justin Trudeau has his own seat,
00:02:02.640 they're against him. Why does this not really seem to affect Justin Trudeau on a personal level?
00:02:07.580 Because he's still motoring forward. He's still putting out really smug videos acting as if he's on top
00:02:13.360 of the world. And the reason why is because the Quebec caucus and Quebecers in general are not
00:02:18.220 really his base. While yes, he does a lot of pandering towards Quebec, Justin Trudeau's base
00:02:23.800 has always fundamentally been not even the Toronto people, not the Toronto MPs. It is the Toronto media.
00:02:30.760 The media is Justin Trudeau's base, and they are still generally on side with him. No matter how much
00:02:36.600 people can pretend that the legacy media has turned on Trudeau because there's some bad headlines now,
00:02:41.780 they still are trying to push him over the top. They are still will continue to attack Pierre
00:02:48.000 Polyev and the Conservatives over nonsense to give Trudeau an angle, but they will eventually have
00:02:53.720 to start covering some of the stuff going on around him. But they do cover it in the weakest way
00:02:57.760 possible. Here's what the current projections look like in Quebec. It's absolutely insane that now on
00:03:05.000 average, not in one poll, on average, the Liberals are below the Conservatives and below them
00:03:10.660 by quite a bit. This is the federal Quebec polling averages. Bloc Québécois, 37.2%, not a surprise.
00:03:18.060 The Conservatives have actually gained the most, gaining six and a half points, and they are now
00:03:22.480 at 25.1. Liberals, 19.5. NDP, 11. And then the PPC and the Greens are somehow hanging on there in
00:03:30.120 Quebec, but not getting any seats. This is devastating. But do you know why it doesn't
00:03:36.660 matter to Justin Trudeau? It's the pettiest reason you'll ever see here in your life. Justin Trudeau
00:03:42.180 doesn't want to leave because he gets to be the G7 president this year. He gets to chair and lead
00:03:48.300 the G7. And there is nothing Trudeau likes more than being on camera and having people say nice
00:03:55.660 things about him, even though he doesn't deserve it at all. Anyways, before I go into this next part,
00:04:01.160 I just want to remind you guys, hey, if you like this channel and you're not yet subscribed,
00:04:05.840 scroll down and hit that subscribe button so that you can see my videos more frequently in the future.
00:04:11.140 Help me get to 100,000 subscribers by the end of the year 2025. That is my New Year's resolution,
00:04:18.240 I suppose. It's very petty and very narcissistic, but whatever. I'm trying to get to 100,000 views.
00:04:23.800 Help a guy out. But here is something that Kirk Lubinmov said on Twitter just today,
00:04:29.880 and I think it is a very incisive point to be making right now because everyone's wondering,
00:04:35.480 why doesn't Trudeau just leave? What else is there for him to do or screw up or however you're
00:04:40.300 framing on that is? Kirk says, Justin Trudeau isn't resigning and this is why. No way he is
00:04:46.400 giving up on this. And then we have Dennis Schmall here saying, I believe from the G7,
00:04:52.520 Canada will assume the G7 presidency as of today. Many thanks to Justin Trudeau and the Canadian
00:05:01.700 people for their unwavering support for Ukraine. We look forward to continuing close coordination,
00:05:07.120 defense assistance, and increasing sanctions on Russia, including on the Shadow Fleet. We are
00:05:12.060 grateful to Italy for its leadership during the 2024 presidency. We welcome the decision to transfer
00:05:17.740 50 billion from Russia's frozen assets. Only by working together can we ensure lasting peace and
00:05:23.240 security for all. Or he might be like the G7 coordinator for Ukraine. Yeah, Trudeau ain't
00:05:28.260 giving up on this because again, what else is there? Like the thing is that in a good world
00:05:34.940 where politicians have nobility, you're doing a bad job. People don't like it. You should step out.
00:05:41.960 Jagmeet Singh is a perfect example of this. We're going to talk about him a little bit later in this
00:05:45.420 video as well. But these days, why not just stick around and gain as many benefits as you can?
00:05:52.660 Because at this point, people have really ripped the bandaid off of being shamed out of office. We
00:05:57.000 have not shamed somebody out of office in quite a while in both Canada and the United States.
00:06:03.020 In terms of people will just keep doing the worst things possible because, you know,
00:06:06.900 na-na-na-na-na, you're never going to be able to get rid of me. Or at least I have another seven
00:06:10.740 months to go, so I'm going to use him. And Justin Trudeau could technically stay as prime minister
00:06:15.420 for 10 months. And if he gets to be the chair of the G7 and he gets all these world leaders having
00:06:21.620 to be nice to him and, you know, talk him up or whatever, maybe he sees this as his upper hand on
00:06:28.180 Donald Trump that when Donald Trump's president, he still has to address him as the chairman of the
00:06:33.120 G7 right now. That's what he wants. And it's not going to help him at all. Does it hurt the liberals
00:06:39.880 for Trudeau to stick around? I'm not even sure about that at this point. Really? You're going to
00:06:44.620 replace him with Freeland or Carney or Anita Anand or Francois Champagne or whatever? Like, who cares?
00:06:51.420 Melanie Jolie? These people are different shades of beige. They don't have any personalities past
00:06:58.160 bureaucracy. Anyways, so let's move on just for something else to talk about. This very quick
00:07:05.060 but very embarrassing video from Jagmeet Singh. I love it. I love how big Jagmeet Singh thinks he is
00:07:12.560 in his own head. He is a star politician in his own headcanon. He is like the man everyone fears.
00:07:21.560 He's so progressive, so virtuous. Everyone admires him. Men want to be him. Women would
00:07:27.360 women want to be him too or want him to like, I don't know, be with them. I don't care. But here
00:07:34.200 we have Jagmeet Singh saying, 2024 was a battle fighting against liberal inaction, fighting against
00:07:40.580 callous conservative cuts, fighting against them. The conservatives are not in power. How is he
00:07:46.000 fighting them? Also, when he says liberal inaction, he is about to name a bunch of things that he did
00:07:51.200 with the liberals, yet he is accusing them of inaction. But he says, for you and your loved ones,
00:07:55.940 we're going to keep fighting in 2025. And there's a great photo of Jagmeet Singh looking like he's
00:08:01.520 about to sneeze. But we will check out Jagmeet's little New Year's Day video here.
00:08:07.520 2024 was a battle. Here's a list of every fight and every win New Democrats secured for you going
00:08:15.140 up against liberals and conservatives. Now here's a list of every fight and every win Pierre Polyev
00:08:21.600 and the conservatives secured for you in that same year. He's so he's just such a dweeb. Yeah,
00:08:27.420 it's almost like the conservatives aren't in government and are not working with the liberals.
00:08:32.880 Jagmeet Singh is both the biggest opponent of Justin Trudeau there is, but also will pimp out all of the
00:08:38.940 policy achievements that were really just liberal policy achievements. And they're not really
00:08:43.400 achievements. They suck. But the liberals did that. You attached yourself to it and pretended that
00:08:48.940 I made the legislation better by putting pressure on Trudeau. Yet we've seen that he has no ability
00:08:54.080 to put pressure on him. He backs off every single time and doesn't actually make credible threats.
00:08:59.680 GST, HST holiday. He wanted to make the GST holiday permanent on a bunch of different,
00:09:05.220 like a bunch of different essentials, which is not even a bad idea. Yeah, there shouldn't be a sales tax
00:09:09.940 on home heating. There shouldn't be a sales tax on certain food items. That makes sense. Fair enough.
00:09:16.160 But also, Jagmeet, like you're still not putting pressure on the liberals to get rid of the carbon
00:09:23.500 tax or lower any other tax. It was just a moment where he could stand up two days before the bill
00:09:28.820 came through and said, I want this made permanent. And Trudeau, like I don't like Trudeau, but his
00:09:34.380 party is like, well, you should have brought this up like a month ago. And then they ignored him and
00:09:40.160 passed anyways. And Jagmeet Singh was like, they didn't want to do my very sensible plan. It's like,
00:09:46.080 okay, man, sure. Yeah. It's not that you didn't even care about your own plan. And that's why you
00:09:50.820 threw it in at the 11th hour dead on arrival. He's so performative. There's nothing real about him at
00:09:57.840 all. I don't even know how well the NDP is going to do in this next election. Because if you don't like
00:10:03.020 the liberals, why would you be voting for the NDP? Here's another video that Jagmeet Singh just put
00:10:08.460 out. I haven't even previewed this one, but it's another New Year's one. He's wearing a very good
00:10:13.080 cable knit sweater. Happy New Year. I do appreciate a good sweater. Actually, I'm not trying to shade
00:10:17.500 that sweater. It's a nice one. This is the time of year where we reflect on the past year and we look
00:10:22.220 forward to next. And while we face a lot of challenges, I'm optimistic about the future. I believe
00:10:26.780 that 2025 is the year where together we build homes that people can afford. We make sure healthcare
00:10:31.580 is there for you when you need it. Why didn't you do it last year? Why? Two, three, four,
00:10:37.560 five years. He's been holding up the liberals since 2019. Why didn't any of this get done before?
00:10:43.600 Just wondering. Just asking. Because he's criticizing probably of the conservatives for
00:10:49.100 wanting to get rid of the housing acceleration fund. He's doing the same talking points as the
00:10:52.840 liberals on that. But if that program was so good, why is it only now that we have to commit to
00:10:57.820 building affordable homes? I thought we were doing that already. It's almost like saying,
00:11:01.220 knows in his heart that we actually haven't made any room. We have not budged an inch on these
00:11:06.820 massive policy issues. Lower the price of groceries. For too long, billionaires and CEOs
00:11:11.820 have had their time. 2025 has got to be the people's time. From my family, from the New
00:11:17.660 Democratic Party to yours, Happy New Year. He's so boring. He's just...
00:11:23.120 Anyways, that's it for me today, guys. A little bit tired because it's New Year's and I, for some
00:11:31.700 reason, I don't even go to like any New Year's events. I just happen to stay up till 3am. So
00:11:35.660 then I made this video late in the day. I'm sorry, everyone. But yeah, just want to get a good video
00:11:40.800 out on the first day of the year. I'm going to try to be uploading every day, doing a little...
00:11:46.900 Like, I'll always skip days. If there's truly nothing to talk about, I will skip days. But I'm
00:11:51.180 going to try and make a video or two every single day, slowly grinding our way up to that 100,000
00:11:55.720 mark. And if you want to support the show, again, like, share, and subscribe. And then you can also
00:12:00.740 donate to the Give, Send, Go legal fund and sign up on my website, WyattClaypool.com. If you guys want
00:12:07.180 a way of getting recommended good candidates to vote for in basically different nominations around
00:12:14.860 the country leadership races, as well as federal and provincial MLA or MP nominations for conservative
00:12:21.620 parties. Anyways, so that's it for me today, guys. Have a good one.
