The National Telegraph - Wyatt Claypool - Rachel Gilmore Never Wants COVID To End

00:00:00.120 Ahoy TNT viewers, because I'm a masochist and a sadist, I'm going to try and subject everyone today to another Rachel Gilmore TikTok video.

00:00:08.780 If you don't know who Rachel Gilmore is, I am jealous of you, but Rachel Gilmore is a terrible global news reporter and TikTok video maker apparently, 1.00

00:00:18.220 and her content is probably the clunkiest, sloppiest propaganda I've ever seen.

00:00:23.660 So I want you guys to sit back and just view another video by Rachel Gilmore, because I think it's so reflective of how bad the media is today.

00:00:31.620 And here's another one about the COVID-19 pandemic, which she and Global News wants you to be still very, very afraid of.

00:00:40.780 We're all tired of this virus and tired of the pandemic, but the virus is not tired of us.

00:00:47.220 I keep hearing this hacky line, like, we might want to be done with COVID, but COVID's not done with us.

00:00:52.260 Like, no, it is decisively done.

00:00:54.960 The pandemic pretty much ended more than like a year and a half ago.

00:00:57.960 And just because people can get infected and because there was some residual risk, does that not mean that we're in a crisis?

00:01:04.540 Like, based on how much of a non-issue COVID is these days, she would have to make TikTok videos every single day about the common cold and the flu,

00:01:13.220 because those things are as dangerous as COVID is currently.

00:01:17.000 That was a quote from the head of the World Health Organization today.

00:01:20.200 Cool. I don't care what the weird communist who has no medical training, who covered up Ebola outbreaks in his home country of Ethiopia thinks. 0.78

00:01:28.380 When he told reporters that in the last week alone, 15,000 people died from the virus globally.

00:01:35.620 Here's what you need to know.

00:01:37.000 Now, I haven't even watched this entire video, but I'm pretty confident, like that previous clip,

00:01:42.740 the rest of this video is just going to be her misattributing deaths to COVID,

00:01:47.660 when really that all the statistics she's citing do is just cite people who died who happened to be infected with COVID.

00:01:54.080 Reported COVID-19 deaths from around the world have increased by 35% over the last four weeks.

00:02:01.360 That's according to the WHO.

00:02:03.200 While cases are down in Canada, the virus is still very much here too.

00:02:07.880 In fact, 263 people died from COVID-19 from the week of July 31st to August 6th.

00:02:15.080 And see, it's exactly what I thought.

00:02:16.880 She's just citing Canadian COVID-19 statistics, which are incredibly inaccurate,

00:02:20.700 and they just document how many people passed away who happened to be infected with COVID-19.

00:02:25.540 It's not counting the amount of people who were perfectly healthy and then perished because of COVID.

00:02:30.580 It's citing people who were in hospital, had pneumonia, which was the thing that was killing them,

00:02:35.060 and then they also happened to have COVID when they did die because their immune systems were so low

00:02:39.320 they were going to get three or four other viruses before they passed away.

00:02:43.100 I would just also like to note the fact that is she trying to deny the efficacy of vaccines herself here?

00:02:50.080 Because everyone who's wanted to get a vaccine, especially older Canadians,

00:02:54.740 are double, triple, and quadruple vaccinated.

00:02:57.320 So if people are dying, is she saying that the vaccines don't work?

00:03:00.540 Or is she going to do some sort of conspiratorial claim that only unvaccinated people make up those 200 deaths?

00:03:07.060 Now, I'm not even personally making any arguments about vaccine efficacy.

00:03:10.320 I could kind of care less.

00:03:11.320 But it just shows her how one-dimensional her argument and coverage is when she's not even considering

00:03:17.480 if these people who are dying, quote-unquote, of COVID, are dying of something else who just happen to be infected by COVID.

00:03:24.820 According to Health Canada.

00:03:27.380 And with colder weather approaching, the WHO says transmission and hospitalization risks are going to keep going up.

00:03:33.300 But the head of the WHO says we're not helpless in the face of climbing cases.

00:03:37.260 You can get vaccinated, get boosted, and follow restrictions, he said.

00:03:40.140 Wow. This is just distilled fake news.

00:03:43.160 I don't think I've heard for over a year anyone in the legacy media

00:03:46.260 trying to claim that getting vaccinated just stops you from getting COVID-19.

00:03:50.780 But I guess Rachel Gilmore, Global News, and I guess communist Ebola man 0.63

00:03:55.260 think that this is still a relevant talking point.

00:03:58.280 It's just not correct.

00:04:00.120 Justin Trudeau, Joe Biden, many other famous people who are known to be triple and quadruple vaccinated

00:04:05.840 are on their second and third infections with COVID-19.

00:04:09.140 It clearly doesn't stop people from being infected.

00:04:12.840 Yet I guess Rachel Gilmore hasn't been getting her science updates 0.56

00:04:15.980 and she's just sitting around still pushing these 2021 talking points. 0.77

00:04:19.780 It's completely embarrassing.

00:04:22.340 Learning to live with COVID-19, he said, doesn't mean we pretend it's not there.

00:04:25.960 It means we use the tools we have to protect ourselves and others.

00:04:28.640 Man, it must be amazing working for the legacy media and knowing that you can put out content

00:04:33.380 this bad, just recycling talking points from 2020 and 2021, when we're clearly not being

00:04:39.980 deeply affected by COVID-19 anymore, and you're still going to get promoted by Global News and

00:04:44.800 paid well.

00:04:46.020 It doesn't shock me that Rachel Gilmore doesn't even put out that much content these days, 1.00

00:04:49.480 and mostly just focuses on having stupid feuds with idiots like Jeremy McKenzie on Twitter. 1.00

00:04:56.440 Well, that's it for me today. 1.00

00:04:57.860 And if you like response-style videos like this, make sure to follow our YouTube channel
