If I was to crown the King of Liberal Propaganda in the media, it would not go to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, despite their 1.4B taxpayer dollars every year, but to the smaller, legacy media outlets like Global News, CTV and CTV, I would give it to the CBC. Because their liberal propaganda is some of the most blatant I have ever seen in my entire life. They might not be the most subsidized, but you can really tell they are fighting to maintain those subsidies by promoting Trudeau's liberal government whenever they can, and attacking Pure Polyev and the conservatives. They will cite polls to try and slam Pure PolyEV, but they will cut everything out of context in order to generate anti-Polyev conservative news stories.

00:02:36.480 but I'm going to read you a couple of sentences and show why it's just blatantly wrong.

00:02:51.660 negative 18%. Just 37% of Canadians have a positive opinion of the Conservative Party of Canada leader.

00:03:00.120 A study by Leger also found that while Canadian Conservatives are leading in the polls,

00:03:04.940 less than one in three Canadians believe Pierpolyev is the best choice for Prime Minister.

00:03:10.180 Obviously, not only is this an outlier leadership approval rating for Pierpolyev,

00:03:17.520 in most other polls he has a net positive approval rating, but what cult MTL fails to mention because

00:03:24.560 they love Justin Trudeau so much, is that he has an approval rating of 28% and a disapproval rating of

00:03:32.740 68%, with Jagmeet Singh only being a little bit up on Pierpolyev, mostly because nobody really knows who

00:03:41.560 Jagmeet Singh is, even after two elections, and so they're willing to just think generically positive

00:03:47.660 stuff about him. Oh, and by the way, in that Leger poll they mentioned, where less than one in three

00:03:54.640 Canadians think Pierpolyev would be the best Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau only has 11% of people thinking that

00:04:02.740 he would be the best, Jagmeet Singh has 13%, and Pierpolyev had 31%. You think that might flavor the way

00:04:11.220 you would read this story by Matthew Renfrew if you knew that going in? This is pure propaganda.

00:04:42.380 blatant manipulation of the facts in order to get you to a conclusion of their choosing. They want you

00:04:49.600 to hate Polyev, they want you to think that Canada's fantastic under Justin Trudeau, so they will pick and 0.97

00:04:55.900 choose the facts that they like in order to make you believe that. But now let's move on to the second

00:05:02.740 article I mentioned. This one which has the title, Just 29% of Canadians Want a Federal Election Now.

00:05:11.080 The subhead reading, here Polyev continues to embarrass himself by calling for an immediate election

00:05:17.140 Canadians do not want. Now, I probably do not need to tell you that this is not exactly what the poll

00:05:25.600 that they're citing actually says. Now, I'll give Matthew Renfrew some credit because he actually

00:05:32.140 does include the full poll results, but when he pretends like Polyev is unpopular or embarrassing

00:05:39.480 himself because only 29% of Canadians won an election now, you just have to look at the other results to

00:05:47.060 see, oh, well, 30% also won an election in the spring, which is, you know, two and a half months,

00:05:54.440 three months from now. That is effectively saying when it's not cold. So Polyev, in fact, actually has

00:06:02.260 more than half of Canadians agreeing that they want an election sooner than later. Now, their manipulation

00:06:09.760 of the facts wouldn't be so bad if they weren't being subsidized both by the federal government

00:06:16.520 as well as the Quebec provincial government. Several months ago, Andy Lee, an investigative journalist,

00:06:23.940 pointed out that they were receiving money from a Quebec provincial fund for local publications,

00:06:30.060 but then I found that even the federal government was directly giving money to CultMTL every year

00:06:37.180 since 2020. Now, while I agree subsidies this size wouldn't be enough to keep the lights on,

00:06:44.880 it definitely pays for quite a bit of the salary of whoever this Matthew Renfrew character is.

00:06:51.560 Back in 2020, CultMTL was given $46,719. In 2021, $12,800. In 2022, $13,945. And in

00:07:07.080 2023, the last time I could get data for $13,247. I don't know how much money CultMTL is getting from

00:07:17.520 the QCNA fund in Quebec, but it's obvious that they probably wouldn't be writing these articles

00:07:24.060 unless they were being subsidized by the federal liberal government. It's probably them trying to

00:07:30.660 sweeten the deal for the federal government and ensure that grants keep coming in every year,

00:07:36.060 because why else would you be writing hacky articles like this? CultMTL, which the name implies,

00:07:43.080 is a culture magazine for Montreal. They mostly report on cocktail lounges and different shows that

00:07:50.620 are in town. They aren't really a place that would ever be talking about politics,

00:07:55.140 but suddenly they started to when they got federal money. This publication has been around

00:08:01.660 for a while, so I went back to check on if they wrote much about Prime Minister Stephen Harper when

00:08:07.460 he was in office, and they really didn't. Other than this one article about the Syrian refugee crisis

00:08:13.920 I found, and one extremely short article that basically just said in a single sentence,

00:08:19.060 Montreal still hates Stephen Harper, they really didn't have many references to Stephen Harper on

00:08:23.880 their website until the 2020s, when they started comparing Stephen Harper's popularity to new

00:08:30.460 conservatives' leaders, concluding that these conservative leaders are even more unpopular

00:08:35.020 than Stephen Harper. This is the background for why there are hundreds of people on social media

00:08:40.560 calling out CultMTL's Pravda-esque lies, including Michaela Peterson and other conservative influencers.

00:08:48.620 The one good thing that CultMTL is doing is that they are making themselves the poster child for

00:08:55.200 why blanket media subsidies are wrong. I can maybe agree that certain northern Canadian publications

00:09:01.800 do need some taxpayer dollars in order to survive, you're operating in towns of only a couple thousand

00:09:08.000 people, maybe you need the money to stay afloat, but a place like CultMontreal should not actually be
