00:01:21.020 claim to love mankind in a universal and ethereal, theoretical sense. But often I've found that the

00:01:29.860 person who claims to love God and says that God is love and I love God and I love mankind and

00:01:42.240 she doesn't know what love is she does not love god she hates him and she does not love mankind

00:01:52.540 she hates people and the reason that we know this is because she loves all the people in theory that

00:02:08.220 essentially tells us is that the proof is in the pudding. If you fancy yourself to be a loving

00:02:14.100 person, loving towards God, and loving towards your fellow man, but you don't have long-standing

00:02:20.940 healthy relationships in your life that are tangible, physical, practical, with people in

00:02:28.080 the flesh, people that are physically in your life, if you don't have any long-standing

00:02:35.080 relationships like that, then it is far more likely that you are not a loving person than

00:02:41.920 the alternative, which would be, I'm a very loving person, but it just so happens that

00:02:46.780 every person I've met in person happens to be incapable of love, right?

00:02:51.860 Those are the two alternatives.

00:02:52.960 One is I'm a really, really loving person, but everyone that I've met is unloving or

00:02:58.900 I don't know how to love.

00:03:02.960 And what John essentially says is that that is far more likely to be the truth.
