00:00:17.160 And they ask Jesus, whose sin made this man born blind, his or his parents?

00:00:23.320 And Jesus responds by saying, neither, but so that the glory of God might be revealed.

00:00:27.820 But notice what Jesus does not say. He says, neither this man's individual sin resulted in

00:00:34.620 this man's individual physical ailment, nor his parents' individual sin resulted in his physical

00:00:41.260 ailment. But Jesus does not say, he does not say that no one's sin made this man born blind. He

00:00:48.620 simply says, neither his or his parents. But the reality is that Jesus does affirm, because Jesus

00:00:56.520 affirms everything in the scripture, the reality is this. All sickness ultimately is a result of

00:01:04.100 someone's sin, if no one else's, namely Adam's. This world only has sickness and disease and death

00:01:13.240 because it is under the curse that came about through sin. And so all sickness is a result

00:01:20.240 of sin, at least in a general sense, in a general sense. However, we might also find a both and,

00:01:28.380 not either or, but in some cases, sin is only, sickness is only rooted in sin in the general

00:01:35.260 sense, but sometimes sickness can be found to be the direct cause of sin in general and sin

00:01:43.280 in particular, meaning that individual could have their own individual particular sin that

00:01:49.980 results in physical ailments, like a lack of discipline, right? Somebody could have horrible

00:01:57.440 eating habits. Somebody could have choosing to give themselves towards harmful substances and

00:02:06.640 drug use and all these things. And in that case, we're not trying to beat the person up, but it's

00:02:12.060 not loving to pretend as though the person's moral actions, the person's habits and rhythms

00:02:19.760 and disciplines have no effect on their personal health. Of course it does. Can I be frank with you

00:02:26.780 for just a second right here at the end? Look, some of you guys, you're financially supporting
