00:01:41.400 had the same principle or concept, but likely within Judaism, the diverse doctrines, the old

00:01:47.500 covenant ceremonial stipulations, don't be distracted by those and certainly don't be

00:01:52.460 distracted by the strange doctrines that some of these current priests and religious rulers with

00:01:59.600 esteem within Judaism are adding that God never said in the first place. In other words, what's

00:02:06.320 probably was going on in that context in Israel at the time with these Hebrew Christians, they would

00:02:12.480 have been subject to this, is that certain rabbis, certain priests, certain scribes were insisting

00:02:20.780 that by eating certain meats, sacrificed, not to false gods, but sacrificed in the temple

00:02:28.640 under Judaism, that if you ate this sacrifice, it would give you this form of strength.

00:02:37.440 If you ate that sacrifice, that whole burnt offering that was sacrificed with this ritual

00:02:42.700 at this time by this priest, if you ate the meat of that sacrifice, it had these kinds of

00:02:48.000 properties benefits that would that would be a grace to you that would strengthen you uh that

00:02:55.900 would uh produce for you some kind of advantage and i think what the apostle is getting at and

00:03:02.400 saying strange doctrines is saying this not only is this something that god has fulfilled in christ

00:03:09.260 and therefore you don't need to be distracted by anymore this is something that there was never

00:03:14.140 even a thing. God never even said that you're going to be strengthened by certain foods in a

00:03:19.940 in a mystical way and in some kind of religious sentiment that there's certain properties of this

00:03:27.940 goat that was sacrificed on this day by this priest in this place that if I eat you know this

00:03:32.940 portion of the animal then then I'm going to have this benefit and this advantage. That's not a

00:03:38.900 thing that was never a thing not only are there certain ceremonial rights and laws and codes that

00:03:46.940 you no longer need to adhere to because christ has finished this christ has fulfilled this but

00:03:52.360 these are things that were never ceremonial rights or codes these are things that god never spoke

00:03:57.700 that god never presented these are just the doctrines of men this is where a certain religious

00:04:04.920 rulers have gone too far. Can I be frank with you for just a second, right here at the end?
