00:03:52.360 I mean Satan goes to Jesus

00:03:56.360 that he might sift him like wheat

00:03:58.060 if I were Peter

00:04:00.420 I would want Jesus to respond

00:04:04.440 but that's not what Jesus says

00:04:20.640 Essentially, when Satan comes to Jesus

00:04:24.520 and asks for permission to have Peter,

00:04:29.920 Jesus responds, the implication is

00:04:31.860 he responds by saying, yes, you can do that.

00:04:35.920 But the reason why Peter is secure

00:04:38.040 is not because Jesus tells Satan, no.

00:04:41.280 The reason why Peter is secure

00:04:42.780 is because Jesus commits to praying for him.

00:04:46.160 And the prayers of Jesus are always answered.

00:04:50.260 There's not a single prayer of Jesus that ever fails.

00:04:54.360 If Jesus is praying for your preservation,

00:04:58.440 you will be preserved.

00:05:00.100 If Jesus is praying for your sanctification,

00:05:03.840 you will be sanctified.
