00:01:23.500Not every human being, merely by virtue of being created in the image of God, which all human beings are, but that alone does not default someone into the category of a sheep.
00:01:38.340Because Jesus tells us, at least at minimum, there are two categories, not merely one, sheep and goats.
00:01:47.600We could go beyond that, looking at other teachings of Christ,
00:01:50.660and say that there are three, or arguably four, categories.
00:01:54.960There are sheep and goats, and there are shepherds and wolves.
00:02:00.680Now, to be fair, I would say that shepherds and wolves are subcategories.
00:02:05.480That every single human being falls into one of the two primary categories of a sheep or a wolf,
00:02:11.240And then those who are shepherds, all human shepherds are ultimately under shepherds.
00:02:17.800Christ, according to 1 Peter 5, is the chief shepherd, but he appoints under shepherds as stewards in his house to help care for his sheep.
00:02:28.320And these under shepherds, they themselves, while being shepherds, are also sheep.
00:02:34.080So you have sheep and goats, and then you have sheep, sheep, and under shepherd sheep.
00:02:39.460And then in the goat category, you have goat goats and you have wolf goats.
00:02:46.160Wolves are goats, but they're also wolves.
00:02:49.440Shepherds are sheep, but they're also shepherds.
00:02:52.540But the two primary categories once more are sheep and goats.
00:02:58.160Now, John chapter 10, full circle back.
00:03:02.380Jesus claims to be the good shepherd who lays his life down for the sheep.
