00:00:00.000 All right, listen, guys, I get it.
00:00:01.900 Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your
00:00:05.900 cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
00:00:10.740 Praise God for you and that endeavor.
00:00:13.860 However, algorithms are a thing.
00:00:16.380 Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
00:00:19.000 And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry
00:00:24.160 that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five-star review. Also,
00:00:31.900 perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend. We hope you'll
00:00:37.100 take the time to do so. Thank you so much. God bless. Jesus said, man cannot live on bread alone,
00:00:45.140 but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. You're listening to Daily Truth.
00:00:49.940 mothers will spend in many cases a great deal more quantity of time with the children than the
00:00:59.980 father who is obligated to work outside of the home and making physical provision but the father
00:01:06.480 is still at the end of the day the covenant head of the home that means that he is responsible
00:01:12.620 for everything that happens in the household just like a captain on a ship he doesn't do
00:01:18.820 every single job, but he's responsible for everything that takes place on that ship.
00:01:24.980 He's delegating much of the work, but he's ultimately the one who is responsible. The buck
00:01:31.280 stops with him. So fathers are especially responsible to provide answers to their
00:01:37.760 children's questions. Mothers, likewise, are going to be often providing answers. And when you can't,
00:01:44.100 moms in the room, you should be able to go and ask your husband, and he should be able to answer
00:01:50.060 the question. Now, that being said, I like the way that Douglas Wilson has said it. A man may not be
00:01:57.840 a vocational theologian, but in his home, he must be the resident theologian. Not every man will be
00:02:06.740 a vocational theologian. Not every man will go to seminary. Not every man will have a doctorate
00:02:13.780 from a seminary, which, praise God for that,
00:02:16.880 that means you'll probably know the Bible better.
00:02:19.960 Going to seminary usually makes people
00:02:21.960 less faithful to Scripture these days, sadly.
00:02:25.140 It's not the way it always was,
00:02:26.380 but it's the way it is today.
00:02:28.060 But not every man will be equally apt
00:02:32.940 in his theological prowess.
00:02:36.680 Some men will be better theologians than other men.
00:02:40.880 But when it comes to your home,
00:02:43.480 When it comes to your home, you are the resident theologian.
00:02:48.020 You are the family pastor.
00:02:50.980 You're the pastor of that home.
00:02:53.640 You are the pastor of your wife and children.
00:02:56.620 And you are the resident theologian in your home.
00:02:59.840 And very practically, this is what that means.
00:03:03.080 It doesn't mean necessarily that you will be able to answer every question that your wife and children have.
00:03:08.740 but it means that you will be fiercely committed
00:03:12.300 when you don't have the answer to finding the answer.
00:03:17.140 That's a good reply for the record. 0.99
00:03:19.680 When a husband says to his wife,
00:03:22.200 I don't know, sweetheart, but I'll find out. 0.52
00:03:25.240 When a father says to his children,
00:03:27.460 I don't know, but I'll find out.
00:03:30.480 That's a good answer.
00:03:32.260 And the reason just for the record 0.99
00:03:33.700 that I'm including wives in the picture now,
00:03:36.500 that not only children should be inquisitive
00:03:38.500 and ask their fathers,
00:03:40.000 but also wives should ask their husbands,
00:03:42.320 is because that's literally what the Bible says.
00:03:46.180 That wives, if you have a question,
00:03:48.120 this is 1 Corinthians 14,
00:03:50.360 ask your husbands at home. 0.63
00:03:52.560 So wives, likewise, 0.99
00:03:54.840 should go to their husbands. 0.97
00:03:56.440 Not expecting that on the spot
00:03:59.080 that he'll have a perfect answer
00:04:00.680 to every theological question you can muster,
00:04:03.380 but there should be a trust,
00:04:05.420 not necessarily in his perfect theological
00:04:08.100 competency, right? It's not that a wife trusts that the brain of her husband is so perfectly 0.54
00:04:16.180 theologically tuned that on the spot he can give the exact right biblical answer to every question 0.62
00:04:22.860 she could fathom. But what a wife should be able to trust of her husband is not the perfection of
00:04:28.460 his brain, but the commitment of his heart. That if he doesn't know the answer, that the heart of
00:04:36.940 that husband, loves his wife and is thoroughly committed to obeying God's word, to wash her
00:04:43.120 in the water of the word, meaning in the same way that he physically will work out of the home to
00:04:49.140 make physical provision, to make sure that there's food in the cupboards, to make sure that there's
00:04:54.380 a roof over her head, to make sure that there's clothing to wear, that in the same way that he
00:05:00.460 works hard and diligently to make physical provision, that he is just as committed to
00:05:05.460 making ample spiritual provision, theological provision. So it's not that the wife goes to
00:05:12.260 her husband because she believes that her husband is intellectually the best theologian in all the
00:05:18.260 world. It's not that he knows more about the scripture than any other man. Why do wives go
00:05:24.820 to their husbands? One, because the scripture commands it. But two, it's not because his mind 1.00
00:05:31.100 is theologically sharper than any other man,
00:05:33.300 but it's because his heart is more in love with her
00:05:36.920 than any other man.
00:05:38.880 It's his commitment to her.
00:05:41.340 It's because he is her covenant head.
00:05:43.840 It's because he loves her more than anyone else.
00:05:47.380 And therefore, in the same way
00:05:49.200 that he'll be willing to work two or three jobs,
00:05:53.140 80 hours a week, if that's what it takes
00:05:55.420 in order to put food on the table,
00:05:57.460 likewise, he'll be willing to do whatever Google search
00:06:01.080 he needs to perform to go and talk to the pastor or go and do this or go and do that listen to
00:06:07.180 however many lectures on canon plus app you know whatever he's got to do to answer the question
00:06:13.120 why because he loves her because he loves her whoa whoa you're gonna want to hear this our next
00:06:20.360 two conferences are coming up quick we've got first our fall conference this is november 11th
00:06:26.380 and 12th. That's a full day Saturday and a holdover for the Lord's day, November 12th.
00:06:32.840 Who's speaking at this conference? Well, we've got Jared Longshore and Chris Wiley and yours truly,
00:06:39.520 Pastor Joel Webb. And what's the title? The title is the household and the war for the cosmos. Now
00:06:45.260 I know you're thinking, wait a second, you can't use that title, Joel. That's the title for Chris
00:06:49.620 Wiley's book. Well, I can use it because he's going to be there speaking and he gave me his
00:06:54.460 permission. We're going to be talking about the household as the basic building block for pushing
00:06:59.880 back the kingdom of darkness in this world. We're going to be talking about biblical patriarchy.
00:07:05.300 We're going to be talking about marriage and parenting, how to keep your kids, how to shape
00:07:10.180 and form them like straight arrows, like sharp arrows that do damage to the kingdom of darkness,
00:07:16.840 training our children in the fear and ammunition of the Lord. A full day on Saturday, November 11th,
00:07:22.520 and then holding Jared Longshore over for the Lord's Day, November 12th,
00:07:26.740 to preach at my church, Covenant Bible Church, in Central Texas.
00:07:31.520 You can register at the early bird rate, which will not last long,
00:07:35.580 but you can register at the early bird rate today by going to rightresponseconference.com.
00:07:41.740 Again, that's rightresponseconference.com.
00:07:44.920 Now, our second conference is our spring conference.
00:07:47.660 This is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
00:07:53.280 The title for this conference, Blueprints for Chrysidom 2.0.
00:07:58.420 Blueprints for Chrysidom 2.0.
00:08:01.120 We don't want to revert back to Chrysidom 1.0, although it would certainly be a whole
00:08:06.360 lot better than the clown world that we're currently living in, but we recognize despite
00:08:11.300 the phenomenal features of a prior Chrysidom, there were certain bugs that we'd like to
00:08:17.040 see worked out. So we're not going back. We are pushing forward to Christendom 2.0. We believe
00:08:23.440 that the blueprints are seven doctrines for ruling the world righteously. What are these seven
00:08:29.980 doctrines? Well, it's reformed confessionalism. It's covenant theology. It's biblical patriarchy.
00:08:36.640 It's presuppositionalism and Kuyperianism and general equity theonomy and hopeful eschatology
00:08:44.640 post-millennialism. Who's going to be teaching us on these doctrines? Voldemort, he who must not be
00:08:51.300 named, Pastor Douglas Wilson himself. You also got Mr. Brighthearth, Mr. Kingshall, Mr. Haunted
00:08:58.000 Cosmos, Pastor Brian Sauve. And we also have Dr. Joseph Boot, and of course, yours truly, Pastor
00:09:06.240 Joel Webin. We'll be doing seven primary lectures, as well as two 90-minute panels with all the
00:09:12.980 speakers together, and we'll likely add a couple more speakers along the way. Again, that's March
00:09:19.440 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It's Blueprints for Chrysidom 2.0. We've got the
00:09:28.280 early bird rate going right now, but it will run out quickly. So go to rightresponseconference.com,
00:09:35.500 rightresponseconference.com to register today.
