00:09:32.640 is self-identification, England is roughly 85 to 95 percent Protestant. Now, through the 1800s,

00:09:39.400 you had the rise of the Nine Conformists. This would be your Methodist. This would be your 0.98

00:09:42.380 Baptist, but still overwhelmingly 80, 85 percent Protestant. And then you get into the 1900s,

00:09:48.600 and it's the Church of England that really is pretty early on when it comes to ordaining women.

00:09:53.420 The Church of England also is really relatively pretty early on when it comes to blessing same-sex marriages, blessing same-sex civil unions.

00:15:53.040 not just saying white evangelicals versus all Catholics of different ethnicities or different

00:15:59.260 race. No, I'm saying all Catholics in America, red and yellow, black and white, all evangelicals

00:16:05.560 in America, red and yellow, black and white, compare their voting patterns. Politically and

00:16:10.400 culturally speaking, the evangelicals are more conservative than the Catholics, more traditional

00:16:15.800 than the Catholics, more historic than the Catholics in their voting, politically and

00:16:21.080 culturally speaking, by a landslide, by like 20% plus margins. It's significant. Here's the deal

00:16:29.740 though. Young men coming to Christ for the first time, they don't know all that. They're looking

00:16:35.340 at what's right there on the surface, the obvious. They're looking at, I'm not saying this is ideal,

00:16:41.240 but it's just the reality, they're looking at the surface level visible aesthetics. So they're

00:16:46.640 seeing, okay, there's a Catholic church and it actually looks like a church. It's a chapel.

00:16:51.260 It's beautiful. And there's actually some beautiful Protestant churches, but here's the deal. All the

00:16:56.140 beautiful Protestant churches, like the actual building itself, that's beautiful, have rainbow 0.80

00:17:44.580 and old mainline Protestant churches, they're not paying property taxes. No church has to do that 0.91

00:17:51.020 in America. But they also, there's no mortgage. They own the building outright. There's no

00:17:56.100 property taxes. It's literally just the utilities. And there's some trust fund that once upon a time

00:18:02.180 in previous generations, the saints of old that actually did love the gospel and did love Jesus,

00:18:06.860 they saved up, they put it in some kind of fund, and it's enough to pay the utilities on the 0.99

00:19:13.500 here's the other thing so the aesthetic looks modern and so it's interpreted by young men as 0.68

00:22:36.260 congregation. It's like from 2000 to 2025, the Anglican church attendance has halved from 30%

00:22:44.460 to 15%. That's insane. Only 3% of young adults in the UK from ages of 18 to 24 identify as Anglican.

00:23:51.220 Anglicans, they're going to be gay affirming. They're going to be LGBTQ clergy. They're going 0.85
