The Podcast of the Lotus Eaters - FREEMIUM： Brokenomics ｜ The Santa Interview

00:00:00.960 Hello and welcome to Brokernomics. Now I have recently watched the Nick Fluentes Piers Morgan

00:00:08.560 interview and I saw that and I thought that is the sort of hard-hitting interview that I want to do.

00:00:15.560 I want to take difficult toxic figures and I want to bring them down to size myself and so in the

00:00:22.740 vein of that what follows is an interview that I recently recorded with Father Christmas where I

00:00:28.880 really take him to town on some of his more problematic behaviour. I hope you enjoy.

00:00:58.880 So Santa Claus, welcome to Brokernomics. Well thank you and thank you very much Dan.

00:01:11.480 May I say as an almost 2,000 year old demigod, omniscient and also basically as omnipotent as I

00:01:23.180 am, may I say that it is a genuine pleasure to be in your company. There is nothing more that I like

00:01:29.620 after a hard week of making or delivering toys to sit down and watch the latest episode of Brokernomics

00:01:35.160 and you really are quite splendid. Well thank you very much Santa and it's very kind of you to say

00:01:42.180 that but I have to tell you I'm going to be pulling no punches in this interview. I don't want this to

00:01:48.920 be an ambush but I do want to get under the skin of some of your more problematic behaviour and look

00:01:55.300 the thing that's been worrying me Santa, I think the core issue why so many people take issue with you

00:02:00.860 is because you know if you're told you must believe something or lose belonging you know that's

00:02:08.280 probably not knowledge, that's not decent and moral, that's obedience and I put it to you that

00:02:14.260 believing in Santa is probably your first real training in socially required belief. You know it's

00:02:21.560 you don't believe it because you're true when you're a child, you believe it because the adults

00:02:26.920 demand that you do and basically any sort of belief that is enforced by threat of exclusion, that's not

00:02:34.040 truth, that's about conformity. So what you're saying is Dan that in a free society truth doesn't

00:02:40.280 need enforcement, only dogma does. You know if belief comes wrapped in let's say a bit of career

00:02:47.660 blackmail or social punishment it's basically Santa for grown-ups. Well yes that I mean I suppose that

00:02:55.660 is what I'm saying. I'm saying that you know children get presents for pretending that Santa is real

00:03:00.920 and you know how can we explain this? Well okay ho ho ho. Adults get social acceptance for pretending that

00:03:08.480 elite narratives are real. You know the reward changes but the the mechanism doesn't and I put

00:03:14.780 it to you that maybe the real coming of age moment isn't what you learn that Santa isn't real,

00:03:19.820 it's when you realize that half the things that adults repeat aren't real either. That is the real

00:03:25.640 Santa test. Well now hang on a minute Santa, I can't have that. You're pushing back. I think

00:03:32.120 you're protesting a little bit too much. I mean quite frankly you're just a fake guy with a beard 0.55

00:03:36.920 aren't you. Who are you to be lecturing me on this and how our modern world works? Oh show some bloody

00:03:43.380 respect boy. Look I'm 1700 years old and I've seen some nonsense but your century, your century right, 0.97

00:03:50.080 takes the biscuit. Back when I started this the big debate was about whether oranges counted as a

00:03:55.580 luxury and now you're arguing if men can get pregnant. Look in my day if believing in me was

00:04:01.960 considered childish. Don't you expect it to believe that knives commit crimes on their own?

00:04:07.660 Why don't we go through all of your screwed up beliefs in your age and you tell me which is the 0.94

00:04:14.280 more fantastical? Oh well uh yeah yeah I suppose I suppose we could do that Santa. Um where do you 0.84

00:04:21.680 want to start and um you know I'll just riff off what you uh what what what do you say? Well let's start

00:04:26.660 with this then. But answer me this. Why is fertility collapsed? You know people are freer than ever and

00:04:33.120 women have more choices and prosperity you would think would increase family formations. Yeah 1.00

00:04:38.560 everywhere where this social model dominates the uh the opposite is happening. You can't explain the

00:04:45.160 contradictions in your own society. Look if the elite world view maximizes well-beings

00:04:51.440 why are people choosing not to reproduce within it? And if the future is bright why does nobody want

00:04:57.040 to bring children into it? And if fertility uh you know why does fertility collapse the fastest amongst 1.00

00:05:04.160 the most educated? Those most immersed in their ideology? Explain that. Uh yeah gosh you've um yeah

00:05:13.080 you've got a good point there Santa. Um but still you know as you say you know you're a bit of a dinosaur

00:05:18.240 you're 1700 years old but you know at least in the modern age is quite prosperous isn't it? Well yes

00:05:22.940 again it all goes back to the uh the set of uh elite beliefs that you expected to believe these days. So

00:05:28.160 you know we're told that innovation is accelerating and we're told that tech will transform everything

00:05:33.540 and that human capital is their greatest asset. But explain this to me Sonny. Why is productivity in

00:05:40.800 the West been flatlining for two contradictions? And how do you explain the contradiction that

00:05:46.100 you know how can a society with more graduates more bureaucracy and more regulation how can it produce

00:05:53.460 less if the lies that you're being told by your elite figures are true? You know why is it the most

00:06:00.060 credentialed economies are the ones generating the least tangible value? And how does a knowledge

00:06:06.180 economy produce declining competence and rising costs? You know the truth is that your elites they can't

00:06:14.200 say the obvious that growing layers of regulation credentialism compliance and HR overhead have

00:06:21.600 throttled productive work. You know I navigate the world by starlight. You lot have google maps and you

00:06:29.580 still get morally lost all the time. I know whether you've been naughty or nice but even I don't track

00:06:36.400 behavior as aggressively your bloody smartphones do. And my elves can make miracles I tell you that lad 0.90

00:06:42.360 but we can't fix your NHS data system. We can't fix your border control data system. That's beyond us I'm afraid.

00:06:49.560 Yes yes fair point Sansa. I have to concede to you on that one. What about immigration? That's something

00:06:58.800 we look at on Lotus Eaters quite a lot. Do you have anything to say on that? Oh do I have something

00:07:03.680 to say on that? Yes I absolutely do. Look your elites they claim that diversity automatically

00:07:10.020 strengthened societies and they claim that you know integration is natural and that cultures are

00:07:15.400 interchangeable. But by every metric crime welfare dependency and parallel communities say the

00:07:24.060 opposite. You know if all cultures are equal you know why do some create functioning societies and some 0.90

00:07:30.600 do not? If integration is automatic why is it weakest where migration is highest? And if groups all behave

00:07:41.320 the same why does crime education and statistics diverge on it so thoroughly predictably? Truth is they can't

00:07:53.960 acknowledge the cultural biological differences without breaking their worldview. Well yes Sansa again

00:08:01.640 good points I can't really argue with any of that. So is this why you feel that social trust is

00:08:08.200 disintegrating? Well absolutely that is what's happening. Look they believe that diversity increases empathy

00:08:17.960 and that social engineering produces cohesion and that shared narratives are unnecessary for a well-functioning

00:08:28.440 cultural community. Yet societal trust destroys fastest in exactly where diversity and ideology are

00:08:39.560 strongest. It produces a set of contradictions you can't explain. So look if multiculturalism strengthens 0.86

00:08:46.680 trust why do diverse societies become more atomized? And if identity doesn't matter why is everybody getting

00:08:54.680 predictably more tribal? You have the emergence of something like seven to ten openly Islamic MPs in the UK at

00:09:02.840 this point? The white British are becoming more resolutely tribal with their retreat to reform in the Lib Dems, 0.60

00:09:09.640 the most identifiably English of the parties. You know if identity doesn't matter that wouldn't be happening

00:09:16.440 would it? And look if your institutions are so benevolent why is it that nobody trusts them?

00:09:22.360 Their world view you see it depends on pretending that humans are blank and fictionless you know

00:09:30.120 interchangeable units. Reality I'm afraid says otherwise and I'm here I'm the man here to tell you that.

00:09:38.520 Well yeah yes I mean again all good points Santa. Is this why you think that you know young people are 1.00

00:09:46.280 becoming so depressed and anxious? I mean is that it? Well that is exactly what I think. Look

00:09:54.840 they assert that modern society is the safest and kindest and most enlightened that it's ever been and

00:10:01.320 that you know freedom from narrow confines of identity increase happiness and they claim that all oppression

00:10:09.480 has been defeated. Yet young mental health issues are skyrocketing and again it sets up a series of

00:10:18.120 contradictions that your system simply cannot explain. You know if liberalism is the cure why is it the

00:10:25.160 most liberated generations are the most miserable? And if technology connects us all why is loneliness

00:10:34.120 epidemic? And if removing boundaries makes people happier why do young people feel so 0.68

00:10:41.480 directionalist? I'm telling you boyo that the elites of your world they've created a world view that removes

00:10:48.600 meaning, belonging, hierarchy, purpose and ritual and they can't admit that all of those things were

00:10:57.000 essential and always were. Gosh Santa yeah you've given me a few um a few points to ponder on that but

00:11:04.680 uh but look you know we today we've got you know um you know great infrastructure we've got skyscrapers we

00:11:11.320 got um you know fast trains and everything you didn't have any of that back in your day did you you

00:11:16.200 know we at least we win on that. Well true enough you uh you went through a fairly impressive phase there

00:11:23.080 for a while but uh i think you're safely past that at this point yeah again your your uh fairy tale

00:11:29.400 elites they tell us that uh you know that we're richer than ever GDP numbers prove that uh they they

00:11:35.560 tell us that state competence has never been this high and that big government is efficient yet bridges

00:11:42.120 crumble trains fail the grid falters water systems rot so explain these contradictions to me if the state is

00:11:52.120 competent why can't it build anything on budget on time and if regulation protects quality why does

00:12:00.680 every project become a decade-long farce and if the public public sector is as noble as they claim why

00:12:08.280 does it produce the worst outcomes at the highest cost with declining productivity rates again look what's

00:12:17.320 happening is that their world view confuses process with outcome and money with competency

00:12:24.920 uh yes yeah yeah you make you're making a series of good points there sounds i can't i can't really

00:12:31.480 argue with any of that but uh okay look at look at it like this then um you know at least education

00:12:37.640 access to information is the highest that it's ever been you know back in your day you know people

00:12:41.880 believed in all sorts of superstitious nonsense didn't they well again very quickly you get into

00:12:46.360 a series of contradictory beliefs you know they they will tell you the literacy is rising and that

00:12:52.520 increased funds it's always about increased funds they they improve results and that um inclusion

00:12:58.520 enhances learning it's all about inclusion and equity and i forget the other one diversity something

00:13:05.960 like that um every child could be gifted is what they claim you know that's why um every time they

00:13:12.680 get an influx of um new children on the boats you know they they say they can be architect uh architects

00:13:18.920 and engineers and doctors and and so on but you can't explain these set of contradictions

00:13:26.120 why is it that standards fall every year despite rising budgets

00:13:30.200 why do universities churn out activists but fewer competent professionals who are able to take over the

00:13:39.240 tasks from the retiring generation and why does every reform in the educational sector lower expectations

00:13:50.440 their world view treats education as therapy and it's a series of

00:13:55.720 di rituals it's not skill formation nothing productive is happening here well yes fine i mean i i i i i'll give

00:14:05.560 you that santa but um you know back in your day you were you're burning um you know wood and and um

00:14:13.800 peat from muddy bogs and um you know at least we have clean reliable power and energy infrastructure

00:14:22.040 these days it must have been horrific um you know back in your day no really well let's go there shall

00:14:28.120 we you know why not you know um you know they claim that um renewables they could they can replace

00:14:34.600 everything and that uh net zero is painless they say and green tech produces jobs and fossil fuels are

00:14:43.560 outdated you'd explain this to me why are the grids destabilized

00:14:49.160 why is all this capacity being built out and why is all this energy saving products being rammed into

00:14:57.400 your house left right and center getting rid of incandescent bulbs and having leds everywhere and

00:15:03.720 everybody's got double glazing and yet your energy bills keep growing faster than inflation

00:15:10.280 why is industry relocating out of europe hmm the blackout risk is growing it's a series of

00:15:19.000 contradictions if every green transition makes you poorer and less industrial clearly it is not a

00:15:28.440 growth industry and why do emissions rise after renewables expand and why do the elite support

00:15:38.440 transition while relying on private jets and diesel bloody generators hey clearly they don't leave it

00:15:44.840 themselves they can't admit that their climate models ignore physics uh well thank you santa i mean

00:15:53.960 again a devastating series of points i probably probably should have prepared for this interview

00:16:00.040 better because i didn't realize it was going to go this badly but uh okay okay look how about this how

00:16:05.640 about this right um these days um you know we've got sophisticated anti-crime methods um you know back in your

00:16:12.840 day if you didn't see it being done people got away with it you know that's something that we've got

00:16:17.800 well let me tell you a thing or two about that back in my day if you got caught thieving that your hand

00:16:22.520 cut off you know you didn't need to catch them all to provide a powerful disincentive when that's being

00:16:27.880 done but your modern elites again they believe a set of fantasy notions they believe that punishment

00:16:33.720 doesn't doesn't work they they insist that the criminals themselves are the victims they believe

00:16:39.720 that the police unbelieving they think the police causes the crime and they push for them to be defunded

00:16:47.720 they believe that communities heal themselves yet explain this to me why does every leniency reform

00:16:55.720 increase crime and if criminals are victims why do their victims increase when they are treated leniently

00:17:06.120 and released or not even jailed in the first place and if police presence causes crime why do crime rates

00:17:14.600 explode when the police are defunded and if prisons don't deter why does removing jail time increase

00:17:24.280 offense offending consistently across the data you know their world rule simply rejects basic human

00:17:32.760 nature uh yes blimey um well i i can't deny that you're probably right about all of that as well but um

00:17:40.840 you know i come back to the fact that we've got a much more sophisticated economy no yes don't don't

00:17:46.440 get me started on economics your fantastical elites your mythical bloody elites right they believe that

00:17:54.200 that the borrowing is investment they believe the state cannot go bankrupt they think that

00:18:02.360 deficits don't matter and that growth will pay for everything in their make-believe economic models

00:18:11.320 yet debt curves resemble exponential spirals of failure and explain these contradictions to me then

00:18:20.360 if debt doesn't matter why do they fear the bond market so much if government spending creates wealth

00:18:28.280 why do countries consistently get poorer as spending rises and if the system is stable why is there a

00:18:36.920 budget crisis every every time we have a budget crisis it's worse than the last one

00:18:43.240 their worldview is confused consumption with investment uh god yeah okay fine yeah okay you look you've got me

00:18:55.640 all on that um fine i i i i i i throw it back to you how did we how did we end up in this situation

00:19:04.440 because look i mean i quite frankly i can't believe i'm sat here taking lectures from somebody who is

00:19:11.720 clearly a man in a fake beard and yet you're giving me a hard time about the world that i live in 0.75

00:19:19.080 when we're expected to believe that you live in the north pole surrounded by bloody elves and that you ride 0.95

00:19:25.240 reindeers and you deliver billions of presents every bloody christmas day i mean surely out of the two

00:19:32.440 of us is you're the one who's living in a fantasy land so dan you're grilling me on plausibility

00:19:42.200 a man who flies a sleigh pulled by magical reindeer through the sky and you're grilling me on plausibility

00:19:54.600 but let me run you through a few things that you're expected to believe as an adult let's start

00:20:00.680 with economics shall we you're expected to believe that you tax your way to prosperity that you can

00:20:07.560 print your way to wealth that you can borrow forever with no consequences that you can import

00:20:14.440 millions of dependents and you can increase your gdp per capita you're expecting me to believe that you

00:20:21.720 can run an energy system on the weather you think you can spend your way out of inflation that you can

00:20:33.320 raise minimum wages indefinitely without pricing out labor you're destroying your industrial base and

00:20:42.680 your energy base and you're expecting productivity to rise you'll replace working families with welfare 0.99

00:20:51.000 dependent immigrant spending and you're calling it growth and you think that i'm the one operating on

00:21:00.120 fairy tale logic really my toy production has been in surplus for the last 17 centuries and your

00:21:09.400 governments they can't manage a budget past february you know the elves run a zero tax system with full 1.00

00:21:17.320 employment try that in britain and your bond markets revolt and the imf would be all over you

00:21:24.920 and even in the even in the north pole we know that you can't borrow forever you know we tried it

00:21:30.040 once ended badly and we learned from our lessons something that you never do and i'll tell you one more

00:21:37.400 thing i deliver toys for free and even i understand that you cannot print your way to prosperity

00:21:46.120 my workshops full of elves run on cookies and goodwill

00:21:55.560 and it is still more realistic than your modern monetary theory which most of your elites and

00:22:03.080 academics ascribe to

00:22:05.240 uh yes answer uh yeah i've i've got to say you kind of got me on that one as well um

00:22:15.080 but look i'm i'm sorry i'm i'm really struggling with this you're clearly not uh some sort of you know

00:22:23.080 mythical um demigod being you're just a bloke in a bloody fake beard doing this to try and get cash 0.81

00:22:31.080 somehow or other uh how how am i expected to believe this you can't expect me as a man to go 0.99

00:22:36.600 along with this nonsense oh you want to talk about men do you creature of modernity that you are right 0.71

00:22:43.400 let me tell you what you're expected to believe about men you're expected to believe that that

00:22:48.600 masculinity is toxic that competitiveness is a pathology that uh ambition is dangerous

00:22:56.200 unless it is channeled through left-wing ideology you know you're told that male loneliness is

00:23:03.640 relevant and that fatherhood is optional and that men are a threat unless proven harmless which is

00:23:11.240 probably the worst state for a man to be in you're told that male depression and aggression is a sin

00:23:17.960 male excellence is suspicious unless it's diversity approved and that boys don't need discipline they 0.99

00:23:26.600 need therapy and more long housing a society can shame its men and still expect them to function 1.00

00:23:36.680 as if they were respected at least i never told boys they were a problem let me tell you this i have

00:23:43.800 delivered 1.2 billion presents in my day and not one time has a boy asked me for puberty blockers

00:23:53.080 now you may think that my red suit and hat is is a little bit unrealistic but your belief that fathers

00:24:00.520 aren't are optional is madness uh well well well yes i mean granted the the way that modern society

00:24:08.600 treats men is is is is is a bit rum i mean i'll give you that santa well quite so but it's not just

00:24:14.120 the uh it's not just the illusions around men that i find troubling uh the narratives around women are

00:24:21.480 equally concerning to me you know your governing elites tell you that women are happiest in cubicles 0.99

00:24:27.800 that uh that they can replace family with careers and there's going to be no trade-offs to it

00:24:33.560 that childlessness is empowerment that post 40 fertility is infinite as long as you manifest it

00:24:42.440 hard enough that daycare is equivalent to a mother that every pay gap statistic is the result of

00:24:49.960 discrimination and not choices it's not a question of men choosing to put in more hours or pursue their

00:24:59.000 career ahead of other goals no no it's just discrimination every time we're also told that

00:25:06.200 you know um all emotional instability is afflicted by men we're told the hookup culture is liberation

00:25:16.920 and that women benefit from rejecting marriage and motherhood biology is a myth unless it supports their 1.00

00:25:25.720 victim narratives look i've been married to the same woman for over millennium at this point try

00:25:32.520 pitching that on a modern dating app mrs claus she runs the kitchen feeds the reindeers and manages the 1.00

00:25:41.560 elves she never once demanded that i deconstruct my patriarchalism uh yes well uh i again i i can't really

00:25:51.640 argue with any of that uh what's the north pole stance on immigration out of interest oh immigration

00:26:01.480 yes my my favorite um the list of things that you're supposed to believe on that is is longer

00:26:07.320 than my naughty list you know you're expected to believe that importing people from collapsed states

00:26:12.760 automatically enriches you that your culture doesn't matter that that crime that rises after an

00:26:20.200 immigration wave isn't caused by immigration even though it's obvious to a child that it is

00:26:27.400 are you expected to believe that diversity increases cohesion and the integration is guaranteed

00:26:33.480 even when the newcomers explicitly reject your values but demographic replacement is a conspiracy theory

00:26:42.600 and people think that i'm in believe unbelievable for godness sakes you know the welfare state can

00:26:48.680 survive open borders clearly this is absolutely fantastical nonsense that migrants fleeing failed 0.99

00:26:58.120 countries will somehow transform your country to the better and i'm supposed to be the one that's made up

00:27:06.840 you're expected to believe that parallel societies are your fault and that remigration is immoral

00:27:15.880 regardless of the behaviors displayed by the migrant horde when they are here you know i go down 1.00

00:27:23.800 chimneys once a year and people have difficulty believing that but your ideology asks people to believe that

00:27:31.080 all of these things are somehow believable it's nonsense and i tell you there is a little bit of elf

00:27:42.040 migration i will give you that but it works because they learn the language and they fit in with the culture

00:27:49.240 hammer toy productivity and if they can't meet that standard they go back yes uh i must say you've got me on

00:27:57.240 that one as well i i've i've i've got to say since i'm starting to regret my my attempt to take you

00:28:03.320 down and get you cancelled now oh we're talking about cancellation are we well uh your modern cancellation

00:28:12.440 culture is something that i find absolutely fascinating you know you're expected to believe

00:28:17.560 in order to maintain your job in order to remain part of polite society you are expected to believe

00:28:24.360 that men can become women by declaration you're expected to believe that children can consent 0.98

00:28:31.320 to permanent medical changes that race doesn't exist but racial guilt does that western civilization

00:28:40.360 is uniquely evil for some reason that history must be rewritten to protect modern sensibilities 0.97

00:28:48.760 netflix knows exactly what i'm talking about on that one you're expected to believe that speech is

00:28:54.120 violence and and violence is protest that that that jokes are hate crime and deserve putting people

00:29:02.840 in jail for that you know equality of outcome is justice regardless as to how much effort and merit they

00:29:11.640 brought to those respective roles in the first place that that national identity is fake and can be a

00:29:18.440 awarded by a piece of paper by your administrative uh operation in charge of your nation but but but

00:29:25.240 gender identity that's sacred what and you're you're also expected to believe that by a lot biology is

00:29:34.360 optional you know when i started this job children got oranges or coal now more adults can they get moral

00:29:43.800 lectures i've watched the the the the rome fall and you know byzantium vanish and the ottomans rise but

00:29:52.920 nothing collapses faster than the ideological narratives of your ruling elites i have lived through every

00:30:00.360 empire and yours is the first to believe that truth changes when somebody gets offended and furthermore

00:30:07.480 don't let me even get started on your criminal justice system you know criminals are victims and victims

00:30:15.640 are privileged that that prison is cruel and criminals are misunderstood that that shoplifting doesn't

00:30:23.240 matter as long as it is below a thousand dollars you know the punishments don't deter that the police

00:30:30.840 cause crime simply by existing that the releasing criminals causes a reduction in crime that the

00:30:38.200 broken families have no impact on behaviors that knife crime is is simply something mysterious that

00:30:47.320 cannot be tracked down to its root demographic causes that the gangs are just misunderstood that's

00:30:54.520 going to be fixed by more youth centers you know in my system naughty kids get coal in yours they get

00:31:04.200 community funded rehabilitation bloody yoga you keep lists i abolish them you think i'm harsh for giving

00:31:13.240 coal you let people run around with machetes and you say that lack of bloody taxation did it and then of course

00:31:20.520 there's the whole belief that your schools are fine standards can fall forever and that represents

00:31:27.880 progress somehow that everybody should go to university that the grades should reflect emotions that

00:31:35.400 discipline is oppression that excellence is equity teachers shouldn't correct behavior that boys failing

00:31:45.640 is patriarchy is patriarchy and they need to watch a bloody netflix documentary to sort themselves out

00:31:52.520 you know schools produce activists in this day and age that reading books that weren't written

00:32:00.360 through the lens of woke ideology is harmful in some way and as literacy declines you're producing these

00:32:09.640 poorer results and yet you just lie to yourself by redefining the standards

00:32:16.520 once upon a time a child would be delighted to get a bloody orange and now they're upset at the ipad

00:32:22.280 storage isn't at least 256 gigs i used to deliver toys and now i've got the other day the british government

00:32:29.480 wrote to me insisting that i had to deliver gender affirming experiences what the hell is that

00:32:36.840 kids used to write letters to me asking for wooden trains and now they're being

00:32:43.720 being pushed around by their teachers to write in letters asking for political rights 0.98

00:32:48.600 i can't believe this crap when it turns up 0.98

00:32:50.440 uh yeah yeah again santa uh i i i feel like i'm actually getting i'm getting the absolute stuffing 0.96

00:32:56.200 knocked out of me in this interview this isn't going how i how i intended at all but um

00:32:59.960 um but but look it it comes back to the fact that that you're flying around on a bloody magical sleigh i

00:33:06.600 mean and and you're arguing that we should we should find you more believable than than everything else

00:33:13.240 oh yes you want to get onto that do you well i'm telling you this is where your grown-up modern world fairy tales

00:33:21.160 really take the biscuit you know you're expected to believe that weather dependent grids can power

00:33:26.440 civilization that the banning fossil fuels and sanctioning russia won't raise energy prices

00:33:33.720 that nuclear is dangerous but lithium mines with african children mining them are somehow virtuous 1.00

00:33:43.080 you're you're told that private jets don't count towards missions and that net zero is cost free

00:33:49.800 you're being told you need to eat bloody insects with a puff piece out of huffington

00:33:54.920 poe every every so often you know the the green jobs are supposed to materialize from from nowhere

00:34:03.560 in short you're expected to believe that physics will adjust to politics now you may tell me that

00:34:11.160 flying reindeer implausible but they follow the rules of physics more closely than your green energy policy

00:34:17.800 does you know my sleigh can travel all the way from from london to birmingham in a few minutes

00:34:25.240 your trains can't manage that without catching fire you know and you might say okay find a reindeer 0.90

00:34:31.880 with a red glowing nose is a bit silly but but not as silly as thinking that a bit of weather will

00:34:38.920 recharge your energy grid let me sum this up for you dad your modern world is more of a fantasy 0.88

00:34:47.560 than i am you know you're told that humans are blank slates that tribalism is taught that it is

00:34:56.760 not deeply innate within you that people can be made equal by banning certain speech that bureaucracy

00:35:08.040 is somehow going to replace community and that those bureaucrats can fit out a bit of paper and add 1.00

00:35:14.920 another englishman from bermalia you're expected to believe that the state loves you and that tradition

00:35:22.840 tradition that made all of human society function and people happy for thousands of years you're now

00:35:29.560 expected to believe that that is oppression but marriage is optional that hookups are healthy

00:35:35.800 that children don't need stability that consumption is meaning

00:35:43.720 freedom is dangerous and that you must be given guidelines and mandates to keep you safe

00:35:51.880 i tell you that that that elf labour is more productive than your entire civil service 0.98

00:35:59.000 and they don't even strike elves make millions of toys a year and your government can't deliver a

00:36:07.080 passport within three months my workshop actually produces things dan when was the last time your

00:36:15.080 westminster produced anything at all oh my god this is this is not gone the way that i i thought it was

00:36:22.280 going to be i i i i thought i was going to have you here and expose you as as a fairy tale um and i i've just 0.86

00:36:30.360 i've just completely had my ass handed to be on my own show this is this is an utter humiliation for me 0.97

00:36:36.520 uh please stop the beating dan my lad believing in me is optional but believing in the dogmas of your 0.99

00:36:48.200 mythical age are mandatory which of us is the cult hmm my story asks for a bit of wonder a bit of marvel

00:36:59.640 a bit of christmas spirit but yours asks for obedience now you might think you're very sophisticated

00:37:08.280 because you stopped believing me in an eight but you are expected to believe your government

00:37:14.120 and your ruling elites lies until the day that you die between us there's only there's only one of us

00:37:22.840 here that actually delivers on christmas day and it's not your chancellor it's not your county council

00:37:29.800 it's not your eu it's not your deep state it's me i'm the one who gets things done

00:37:36.040 and ho ho ho people think that i'm the unrealistic one it makes far more sense to believe in me than

00:37:46.440 it does to believe in your modern world yeah okay center um thank you very much for coming on you're

00:37:55.080 welcome
