The Saad Truth with Dr. Saad - Communism is Contrary to Human Nature - My Latest Appearance on Hannity (The Saad Truth with Dr. Saad_1017)

As socialism gains traction with young voters and far-left activists, Gad Saad, who happens to be Elon Musk's favorite author, well, recently was on my podcast where he discussed why he believes communism is incompatible with human nature. Anyway, he's the author of Suicidal Empathy.

00:00:00.000 And as socialism gains traction with young voters and far-left activists, Gad Saad, who happens to seem to be Elon Musk's favorite author, well, recently was on my podcast, where he discussed why he believes communism is incompatible with human nature.

00:00:18.780 Anyway, he's the author of Suicidal Empathy.

00:00:21.300 Professor Gad Saad is with us.

00:00:23.460 I think Elon has promoted your book more than any one person in the world.

00:00:27.220 in light of the discussion i just had with bill de blasio and john fetterman and your book which

00:00:34.780 i read cover to cover uh and your experience living in canada as you described it on my podcast

00:00:42.660 how do you what what's your political takeaway

00:00:46.520 well as we discussed on your show sean uh there are sound bites that sound nice coming from

00:00:54.800 socialism sharing is caring it's unfair that some people have more money than other people

00:01:00.120 shouldn't there be an empathetic overlord that comes comes along and you know recalibrates

00:01:06.240 income distribution that sounds nice if i were a five-year-old child in kindergarten

00:01:11.440 but in the real world where we recognize that there are differences across people we are a

00:01:17.140 hierarchical species some of us are harder working less harder working taller shorter better looking

00:01:22.880 less better looking to try to impose a socio-political economic system that is contrary to our human

00:01:29.360 nature is always going to fail but that notwithstanding there's always a new generation 0.98

00:01:36.080 of imbeciles that are going to fall prey to the allure of the message of socialism 0.97

00:01:42.320 okay so the main question is let me go back to the questions i was bringing 1.00

00:01:46.480 to former mayor de Blasio. They want to seize the means of production. They want to seize

00:01:52.840 private property. They want to abolish the police. They want to abolish America's prisons,

00:01:58.760 America's borders. They don't even want criminal illegals that commit murder and rape and are 0.97

00:02:04.320 convicted deported. Can that party win in this country? Well, they can if there is a sufficiently 0.69

00:02:13.540 large number of people who have been infected by the parasitic form of suicidal empathy, right?

00:02:20.400 You know, it's mean to not give felons 147th chance again. It's mean to not allow all illegal

00:02:28.740 immigrants who want to participate in American exceptionalism to not be granted an opportunity. 0.95

00:02:34.500 So if you view the world through the prisms of suicidal empathy, then that message will 0.98

00:02:41.480 resonate with people and uh by the way it's today is canada day uh but hopefully soon i will be

00:02:48.920 celebrating july 4th as a fellow american well congratulations you know whatever name whatever

00:02:57.960 manifestation whatever form socialism statism redistributionism communism whatever you want

00:03:05.740 to call it it seems to always end up with the with the same results unfulfilled promises

00:03:11.260 you end up with more poverty than before. You then calculate how much freedom you gave up in

00:03:18.700 the name of false security. Why is it so appealing to people to think that, oh, we'll empower

00:03:26.400 government officials to take this group of people's money, their hard work, their success,

00:03:32.340 and we'll give it to another group of people, and then the politicians become all powerful?

00:03:37.120 because it depends what is the metric that you're trying to optimize right if your goal is to create

00:03:45.040 equality or as close to as possible if equality of incomes then that message resonates well it's

00:03:52.240 unfair that elon musk makes a lot more money than some other guy who's on food stamps but

00:03:58.440 if you recognize that the most direct way for optimal flourishing both at the individual level

00:04:05.660 and at the collective level is through capitalism,

00:04:09.400 then you'll be optimizing a different metric.

00:04:12.040 And so, but again, this is why it is such an alluring message

00:04:15.500 because there's always going to be an AOC and a Bernie Sanders

00:04:19.260 that points to those people on top of the hill and says,

00:04:22.280 it's unfair that they make so much money. 1.00

00:04:24.980 Let's get them to pay their fair taxes, 1.00

00:04:27.660 even though they pay most of the taxes.

00:04:30.260 I've got to believe in my heart and soul

00:04:32.740 that most Americans have enough common sense

00:04:36.300 to reject this form of radicalism.

00:04:40.020 We'll know a lot more in the midterm.

00:04:42.600 Gad said, thank you, sir.
