Gadadad shares an impromptu tweet from a day after his talk in Toronto, and explains why the Jewish vote hasn t moved by 1% in response to all the new evidence about anti-Semitism in the United States.
00:00:00.140Hi everybody, this is Gadsad. Some of you may have heard my recent anecdote about having appeared a few months ago on a show hosted by a British psychiatrist where he asked me in my 30 plus years as a professor, as a behavioral scientist, what is the singular phenomenon that has surprised me the most?
00:00:24.160And after I paused for a second or two, I answered the inability of people to change their minds despite incoming evidence that would suggest that you may wish to revisit your positions. In other words, the human mind is so non-malleable to contrary evidence.
00:00:43.340And at the opening, I just came back from Toronto where I was speaking at an event hosted by the Tafsik organization. They will soon have, I think my talk was recorded and they should have it available.
00:01:01.600So, at the start of it, of that talk, in an impromptu manner, because I had just seen the tweet, I saw the following tweet. So, this was posted on June 10th, which is the day that I gave my talk in Toronto.
00:01:16.280This is from, let me just read it for you. This is from Josh Kraschar. I think that's how you pronounce it. I'll put a link to the tweet.
00:01:24.200He is the editor-in-chief of Jewish Insider. And so, he points here, I'm just going to read the tweet.
00:01:31.760So, new American Jewish committee poll of Jewish voters, Biden 61, Trump 23. So, a difference of 38.
00:01:41.500So, in 2020, Biden won the Jewish vote over Trump 68 to 30. 68 to 30 is also 38 points.
00:01:55.420So, in 2020, Biden won the Jewish poll by 38 points. In 2024, there's been a lot of incoming new evidence, right?
00:02:11.500We do have the reaction to the Hamas protests, the reaction to the rampant anti-Semitism across the United States, across university campuses.
00:02:24.180We know which party has some of the most rabid anti-Semites in their party.
00:02:32.600There's tons of evidence, starting from Joe Biden and trickling down to the Democrat Party, suggesting that, well, any reasonable person would have thought, in light of all of the evidence, certainly after October 7th,
00:02:53.400certainly the manner by which he has handled and dealt with Israel and dealt with Hamas and the Palestinian authorities and so on.
00:03:03.820There might be an opportunity here for people to reconsider their undying support for Joe Biden.
00:03:16.600Had you come back to me and said it used to be 38 points higher for Biden in 2020, and now it's gone down to 28 points, meaning he's lost 10 points with the Jewish vote,
00:03:27.720I would have said, wow, it's surprising that he only lost 10 points.
