The Saad Truth with Dr. Saad

00:00:00.000 anyways welcome all hope you can hear me can I just get a thumbs up from someone

00:00:05.520 to see okay perfect you can hear me I'm not going to entertain any questions now

00:00:12.000 because I'm totally useless with this platform but I will as I said in my

00:00:18.600 tweets head off to hopefully answer questions from the subscribers after we

00:00:24.300 finish here I just wanted to spend a few minutes connecting with you guys in a

00:00:29.820 you know in a different manner in an auditory manner first I wanted to begin

00:00:35.760 with a tweet that I posted yesterday which has really really I mean gone super

00:00:43.140 viral it's quickly approaching 10 million views it's been covered all over the

00:00:47.100 place it's not a it's not a positive message but it's one that's realistic and

00:00:53.040 so I thought for any of you who did not have a chance to hear or read my words

00:00:59.400 let me mention them here you are not going to like this tweet so turn

00:01:05.340 away if you are likely to be triggered I am a very optimistic person I am a

00:01:09.840 fighter for Western values and liberties I am a dogged defender of science reason

00:01:14.640 and common sense I must say though that I am unsure that the West can recover from

00:01:20.340 its multi-front civilizational suicide yes I've talked about these issues for

00:01:26.160 decades and I wrote a book about it but the past few weeks have crystallized the

00:01:31.380 extent to which the problem has become intractable it will be a long and

00:01:35.520 ultimately bloody demise and the West will be the first society in recorded 1.00

00:01:40.200 history to fully self-implode due to its parasitic ideological rapture it is a

00:01:47.700 gargantuan Greek tragedy that will shape the future of humanity this is not

00:01:52.320 hyperbole your grandchildren will pay a very high price for your quote

00:01:58.860 progressive arrogance rooted in the pursuit of unicornia that only exists in

00:02:04.700 the recesses of deeply flawed parasitized minds so I mean I don't think the

00:02:11.460 message that I said there needs any further explanation but you know it's

00:02:18.540 quite disheartening on so many fronts so number one two weeks ago yesterday there

00:02:26.300 was a astounding attack on 1,400 people men women children babies elderly

00:02:35.900 apparently Holocaust survivors now of course people can always unfold no it's 0.91

00:02:43.240 your fault no it's my fault no they're only trying to fight against the Zionist 1.00

00:02:47.980 occupation so I'm gonna leave those arguments for now but any person who is a 1.00

00:02:52.800 moral person at the endologically inclined person can look at what happened on

00:02:58.480 October 7th and say hey no matter what the context what the situation is this

00:03:05.720 seems like it should not belong in a specific society to put it mildly and that

00:03:13.160 anyone who that has a non-broken compass would say I'm outraged and again let me

00:03:18.960 put this in context many of you know my background I'm Lebanese Jewish I didn't

00:03:25.280 have a good childhood growing up in Lebanon I faced a lot of anti-semitism a lot of

00:03:30.580 genocide with Jew hatred and yet when I saw the images of what ISIS was doing to

00:03:37.580 Muslim people right this this is not my fight right when they there's a famous clip where 0.69

00:03:45.820 they are taking thousands of men to the border of I think the Euphrates River and 0.67

00:03:53.740 pulling a bullet in their head as each of these young men is being I mean literally walked to their

00:03:59.700 death I saw that clip and I was furious I was fuming because my moral compass does not calculate oh 0.99

00:04:08.540 these are not Jews these are not members of my tribe therefore you know who cares about them no my 1.00

00:04:16.100 moral compass operates in a way that says this is an outrage that this is being done to these men

00:04:22.600 most of these men are undoubtedly good people most of these men do not deserve this faith and

00:04:29.440 therefore my anger is targeted to that reality so you could be Palestinian you can be pro-Palestinian 0.97

00:04:36.360 you could be for a two-state solution you could be for whatever you want politically but there is no

00:04:41.240 way that a human being can see what happened on that day two weeks ago and say I'm going to talk it

00:04:47.980 away I'm going to minimize it I don't care about it they deserved it it didn't happen if it did happen it

00:04:54.600 wasn't that serious once you start engaging in that kind of equivocation you've lost you've lost a large

00:05:01.640 part of your humanity right again for those of you who don't know there are almost there's almost no one

00:05:09.320 who is as well placed to speak about this issue as I am right I'm born in Lebanon I'm Jewish

00:05:17.620 the PLO came into Lebanon a civil war started involving PLO militia my parents were kidnapped by

00:05:26.480 Palestinian militia Fatah we were driven to the airport by PLO militia who could have driven us to

00:05:36.160 a ditch and put a bullet to our head we wouldn't have been able to leave Lebanon were it not for 0.99

00:05:41.260 those militia I can't say whether it's because they're so kind and lovely I'm sure there was

00:05:46.780 money that was exchanged but what I'm saying is oh by the way our home when my parents returned to

00:05:52.240 Lebanon after we had emigrated to Canada they went back for several additional trips one of which they

00:05:58.620 were eventually kidnapped we found out that our parents our home had been taken over by Palestinian 1.00

00:06:05.700 refugees and yet I lived my life without holding any animus towards Palestinian people right

00:06:13.800 it's Palestinians who tortured and kidnapped my parents it's Palestinians who took over our house 1.00

00:06:21.740 we had to leave Lebanon not only because of Palestinians because of other militia groups that

00:06:27.260 were hell-bent on putting a bullet in our head but I recognize that not every Jew is nice not every 1.00

00:06:35.560 Muslim is nice or not nice I judge people by the collective merits and flaws of their character 1.00

00:06:45.440 so there are nice and bad people in every group but because of my classical liberalism because of my

00:06:53.520 dogged defense of individual dignity I judge people as individuals okay so all I did when I tried to go in

00:07:04.700 for the past two weeks and weigh in is to simply be given a space to be able to say my god what a

00:07:10.440 tragedy right and it's it's a personal tragedy in that I have tons of family who lives in Lebanon

00:07:16.320 in Israel I mean I literally was right away contacting all sorts of people to make sure

00:07:22.480 that all of the people that I might know were safe but here is where the orgiastic hatred comes in

00:07:29.900 I wasn't allowed the dignity to even have the very human space to say hey maybe some of my family members

00:07:39.240 were butchered or killed or raped right right away I was a Zionist occupier I personally have nothing to do

00:07:46.780 specifically with Israel right I don't live in Israel I've never served in the Israeli military

00:07:51.640 I have family who left Lebanon and moved to Israel but I'm hardly you know you can go through my tweets

00:07:57.960 and you can go through years of my tweets where I've never weighed in on anything to do with Israel

00:08:01.980 but I understand for example if there is someone that has relatives in Gaza that might be afraid

00:08:10.020 of what their family is going through I wouldn't send tweets trolling them mocking them demeaning them

00:08:17.700 boohoo poor Gazans crying victim I would never do that because I'm a human being but if you see the 0.94

00:08:25.340 kind of hate that I've gotten the Jew cries victim while he stabs you if you see the amount of Jew 1.00

00:08:33.380 hatred I've received you would almost say my god I long for those beautiful days in the Middle East 0.70

00:08:40.740 when we grew up having to hide our identity because it's nothing compared to what you're seeing

00:08:46.460 everywhere this past Friday I had a departmental meeting at my university I decided not to go

00:08:54.300 because there were some security concerns yesterday there was an event that I was going to go to

00:09:00.340 an official event event at the university I didn't go because there are security concerns

00:09:06.540 who is at the root of those security concerns is it MAGA extremists who is it is it white

00:09:14.960 nationalists who is it is it neo-nazis so we can all be for immigration I'm an immigrant I don't need

00:09:25.660 to be lectured about the the the importance of having an open heart to those who may need the protection

00:09:33.420 of a new society but as I explained in my latest book on happiness forgive the plug I have a whole

00:09:41.540 chapter on everything in moderation right every which of course the ancient Greeks told us about

00:09:46.760 Aristotle and his Nicomachian ethics talked about uh you know the golden mean right a soldier who is

00:09:54.700 too cowardly is a useless soldier a soldier who is too brazen in his courage is going to end up getting

00:10:01.540 killed needlessly and so somewhere in the middle lies the optimal position yes well same thing for almost 0.90

00:10:09.720 anything that you could think of that's what I explained in this chapter that almost every

00:10:13.640 phenomenon that you can think of operates according to the inverted you too little is not good too much

00:10:19.120 is not good and the sweet spot somewhere in the middle when it comes to immigration if you're going

00:10:25.900 to let in millions of people into your society where the people have been shaped by a set of values

00:10:36.920 that by definition are antithetical to some of the foundational values of your host society it

00:10:44.420 doesn't take fancy professor gad sad to explain to you that that's going to result in problems

00:10:50.560 as I explained yesterday and as I've explained many times in the past

00:10:55.280 many phenomena have only three possible outcomes right so take for example your weight any given day

00:11:06.860 the the net set of decisions you make that day how much you eat how much exercise you engage in

00:11:14.320 will result in one of only three possibilities that day you will either put on weight your weight

00:11:21.380 will absolutely not change by a single nano ounce or you'll lose weight there's no other option those

00:11:28.460 are the three states of the world correct well we can apply that principle to countless policy

00:11:36.660 decisions if you allow people in the hundreds of thousands if not millions who come from societies

00:11:44.420 where according to several non-partisan in many cases woke survey companies those societies have 95 to 99

00:11:57.300 99% of polled people exhibiting genocidal jew hatred did you hear me 95 so you you sample a thousand people

00:12:09.300 from a society 950 to 990 have very bad views of the jew now you let it such people in the hundreds of thousands 1.00

00:12:23.300 so now i ask you let's use the three possible states of the world will that immigration policy result

00:12:30.760 in an increase in jew hatred will it result in no change in jew hatred or will it decrease jew hatred

00:12:40.820 you don't need to be isaac newton or charles darwin to get this one so now we get all sorts of people saying

00:12:48.240 oh my goodness my god this looks really bad hey dr sad we should have listened to you

00:12:54.880 that pisses me off why not because i'm sitting in the back of the room with my arms crossed saying hey

00:13:01.840 look nah nah nah i told you so i i hate that i was right but if people weren't concerned with

00:13:08.720 their own daily pursuits today it's my daughter's sweet 16 today i'm getting married today i've got to buy

00:13:16.960 onions and tomatoes let somebody else worry about this i don't need to worry about this come on dr sad

00:13:23.440 you're probably exaggerating this but now all of my super smarmy highfalutin progressive lisp jewish

00:13:31.520 friends are like oh oh we have a problem gad help us oh gad well you're the ones who vote those people

00:13:41.040 then you're the ones who thought that justin truden was dreaming because you know you're liberal and

00:13:47.840 he's the liberal party there is nothing liberal about the liberal party nearly every single one of

00:13:55.840 its foundational tenets is anti-liberal but you know the word is liberal therefore they must be

00:14:02.640 they must be liberal and of course justin trudeau is tall who doesn't want a tall leader plus he's young

00:14:08.720 plus he's got nice hair so screw all of those you know deep things that i need to be thinking about

00:14:15.440 before i make a vote before i cast my vote he i'm just i'm liberal and he's the liberal party so i'm 0.89

00:14:22.720 jewish so i'm voting for him now let's take it to the united states donald trump is an ogre donald trump 0.99

00:14:29.600 is a nazi who by the way happened to be super pro-jewish and super pro-israel but he's disgusting he's an 0.99

00:14:36.880 existential threat as the malibu meditator explained to us you know he's much worse than osama bin laden 0.98

00:14:44.560 he's much worse than hitler and therefore we need to do whatever we can to make sure that joe biden

00:14:52.320 because we can win because we cannot afford to have the orange himmler come to power 1.00

00:15:00.080 this is why i wrote the parasitic bind because when i wrote the parasitic bind i explained that

00:15:07.120 i have faced two great wars in my life the first great war that i faced is of course the lebanese

00:15:13.040 civil war the second great war is the war that i've been seeing for the past 30 plus years which was

00:15:19.680 the war against reason against evidence-based thinking against science against logic against modernity

00:15:27.760 against freedom and all of it is cloaked in the language of progressivism and yet nothing about

00:15:37.040 it is progressive it's grotesque it's parasitic it's anti-human but yet we attach the word progressive

00:15:45.120 and liberal to it so it must be good this is why i've also often explained to people who are willing

00:15:51.360 to listen the expression arabic that goes something like this getting drunk simply by smelling the

00:16:00.080 cork of the wine bottle right what does that mean it basically means that someone is of such weak

00:16:07.280 constituency that they don't need to go through the hassle of drinking a bottle of wine to get drunk

00:16:13.280 they simply smell the cork and they're already drunk now let's apply that to most of people's

00:16:19.360 thinking when it comes to geopolitical issues let me now drink the cork or smell the cork of obama

00:16:26.960 did you hear that did you hear my whiff oh my god i'm getting drunk obama is so tall he's so lanky

00:16:34.080 he has such a malefluous voice he has such a radiant smile and you know he's democrat they're liberal 0.99

00:16:40.880 therefore i'm getting drunk i vote democrat i may disagree with every one of his bullshit platitudes 0.98

00:16:48.800 but oh my goodness i'm drunk by the cork of his lovely radiant smile plus he's black and i'm cool 0.99

00:16:55.760 i love black people therefore i support go black panthers now let me drink let me let me take a little 1.00

00:17:03.920 whiff from donald trump he's disgusting he's vile he's grotesque just like the malibu meditator 0.99

00:17:11.760 explained to us while while we're listening to his uh meditating app everything goes back to donald 0.98

00:17:19.120 trump if you've got a toothache surely it's donald trump going back and listen to his podcast for the

00:17:27.280 past five years there isn't a single deontological moral principle that the malibu meditator wasn't

00:17:33.600 willing to violate in order to protect us from the orange himbler what now as it turns out regrettably 1.00

00:17:42.640 ironically many of the positions that donald trump espoused and implemented are precisely those that

00:17:49.280 the malibu meditator would support but he can't get that far thinking is too hard i'd rather get drunk

00:17:56.400 by smelling the cork of the wine bottle so there you have it you take a society

00:18:03.520 that is defined itself by its capacity to engage in self-loathing we're bad we're evil we're transphobic 0.96

00:18:12.160 we're genocide killers we had slavery we're built on the patriarchy we're built on trans transphobia 0.54

00:18:20.160 self-flagellation self-flagellation and then we we allow and because we want to atone for this

00:18:27.440 original sin let's let in people who come from societies that are perfectly antithetical to the 1.00

00:18:34.960 original foundational values of the western canon boy that's going to work out well so what i said in

00:18:41.520 that tweet is exactly that cocktail usually if a bunch of people attack you the only thing that

00:18:49.360 stops them from winning is that the people who are being attacked have a survival instinct they say

00:18:54.560 well sure you want to steal our women but you know what we're not too happy about that and let's fight

00:18:59.840 and may the winner decide the outcome but this is the first time where we say hey guys no need to fight

00:19:07.200 we'll open the doors and have at our women have on our children have on our values have our our

00:19:15.840 beliefs everything is up for grabs but at least please don't accuse me for being a bigot

00:19:27.440 i've and again maybe some of you have woken up now because you're seeing it in the open

00:19:33.440 but many of you tomorrow will forget you'll go back to preparing for your daughter's graduating

00:19:40.080 ceremony and getting the apples and making sure that whatever you handed in your report on time

00:19:47.840 people have that temporal myopia if it doesn't immediately affect me well who cares it's somewhere

00:19:54.880 over there that's how every gargantuan conflict begins or as per the uh boiling frog parable right

00:20:06.720 you put the frog you start increasing the temperature bit by bit just below the just noticeable difference

00:20:12.640 which by the way is a classic marketing concept well the frog won't notice and then one day it boils to

00:20:19.600 death whereas if you put it in boiling water it will try to jump out because it's a very rapid change

00:20:24.960 from the room temperature to the boiling water so this is what happens in the west bit by bit that's

00:20:30.240 why originally by the way the parasitic mind was going to be called uh uh death of the west by a

00:20:38.400 thousand cuts and then i because i was going to use a neuroparasitological framework to explain these idea

00:20:44.160 pathogens uh the title was changed but originally it was death of the west by a thousand cuts because

00:20:50.320 that's exactly what we're seeing so again it's not that tomorrow that the west will die but have a

00:20:56.240 longer view of history what do you think is going to happen in 10 years in 20 years how safe is it going

00:21:03.840 to be for students to come jewish students to come to my university okay go and find out the general

00:21:11.920 dynamics at my university i don't know if you guys saw there was a columbia business school professor

00:21:17.920 some young guy who you know suddenly woke up and realized that there's a problem you know meanwhile

00:21:23.680 when he was in diapers i was already making those claims warning people that it's coming i'm glad that

00:21:29.600 he he spoke out i'm glad that he did and i actually advertised his his plea for action so it's not as though

00:21:36.480 i'm not happy that he did it but again regrettably most people only rise up to action when it affects

00:21:44.640 them personally but that's cowardice that's selfishness that's self-centeredness right the

00:21:50.400 hero is the one who says hey there's a person drowning in that water even though that person is not my

00:21:57.120 family member it's the right thing for me to jump and save them right we all see those instagram clips

00:22:03.200 where there's some incredible hero that goes in freezing water to save a baby deer or a puppy

00:22:10.240 that's about to drown in ice that's what a hero does a hero is not someone who just stands up to

00:22:15.760 defense himself or his immediate family it's someone who sees someone crying in the alley and says wait a

00:22:21.120 minute i can't just sit quietly while this woman is being raped by three guys i have to intervene and

00:22:26.960 this is how i've lived my life right my wife always tells me what why do you have to speak out why do you

00:22:32.400 take on all the stress just look this weekend i've spent most of this weekend you know ducking and 0.54

00:22:38.320 weaving threads all kinds of issues why do i have to do that it's much from a selfish perspective it's

00:22:44.160 much easier for me to just go about my business i've done enough in my life i have enough of a

00:22:50.640 platform i don't need more headaches but because i care about the future of my children and yours and so

00:22:57.280 should you so this jew hatred it's not that i only care about hatred towards jews there is

00:23:05.760 any hatred towards anybody towards muslims towards gays towards atheists any hatred is anti-human and 0.92

00:23:14.880 should be condemned but as i've explained before jew hatred is the proverbial canary in the coal mine

00:23:24.480 once that becomes tolerated in open society then you have a problem right when you go see a physician

00:23:32.400 what does the physician do they the person will take a few of important metrics just to get a sense

00:23:38.240 of your health hey did you put on weight or lose weight hey what's your blood pressure what's your

00:23:42.800 sugar level so there are a few now that doesn't mean that uh those are the only indicators but if if you

00:23:49.840 pass those indicators well you're looking good your blood pressure is good your sugar level is good

00:23:54.080 your cholesterol level is good your weight is good things are looking good for you let's do an ekg make

00:23:58.800 sure that your heart's looking good right so it's a quick overall you know perusal of your your your

00:24:05.520 snapshot of your health well the same thing applies when it comes to

00:24:10.640 when it comes to uh uh uh the health of a society right you can simply look and say uh

00:24:22.720 what are some metrics that allow me to know whether our society is doing well in terms of freedom and so

00:24:28.800 on well you can't walk around today and say the n-word 50 years ago you could and people wouldn't bat an eye

00:24:36.560 but we've thankfully made the changes in our general society so that if you say the n-word

00:24:43.200 you're going to suffer a social cost as you rightly should and for many many years when i moved from

00:24:49.360 lebanon it while i did see some anti-semitism usually from people who didn't know i was jewish

00:24:56.800 usually people who spoke arabic it wasn't in the open it wasn't something that you could express openly

00:25:03.520 but i i have to think about whether i should go to my university or not because outside of my

00:25:08.880 university there are people doing the you know free free palestine from the river to the sea with all

00:25:14.320 sorts of other chants that makes you think maybe i shouldn't go to school today is this the kind of

00:25:20.720 society you want now they start with the jews but it doesn't mean they don't come for you and there is 0.86

00:25:27.440 many many hundreds of years of that history across many many varied societies so again this is not

00:25:35.680 hyperbole this is not exaggeration you're seeing it and many people are now waking up because they're

00:25:41.920 seeing it so openly but again even if it now quiets down and dies down it's not going to go away

00:25:48.400 because the problem is now inside your societies once you tolerate belief systems that are perfectly

00:25:58.240 antithetical to free enlightened societies there is no coming back and so again as per carl popper's

00:26:07.120 paradox of you know the intolerance right tolerating the intolerance is a problem to to you know to to

00:26:13.440 paraphrase it succinctly you don't need to tolerate any belief system that has any tenet that is contrary

00:26:24.160 to the foundational values of your society under the guise of religious freedom or under the guise of

00:26:31.440 freedom of thought no because those belief systems then serve as direct incitements to violence yesterday

00:26:39.920 yesterday i i posted this by the way as a tweet yesterday my son had a soccer match in the in the

00:26:48.480 east end of montreal i have to take a breath because it's unbelievable what we're seeing it really is

00:26:56.880 unbelievable and it's tragic but anyways my son and wife came to pick me up my daughter was studying

00:27:05.680 elsewhere and when we got into the car of course i asked him hey did you win how did you play how was

00:27:11.760 it like at one point this is my 11 year old son he's the same age that i was when i was in the

00:27:19.360 lebanese civil war and then we came to montreal he looked at me he said daddy if you were where i was

00:27:27.200 playing soccer today and you were wearing a magen david you'd be dead now why do you think you said he said

00:27:35.280 that do you think you can try to predict what was the general demographic of the folks where he was

00:27:43.600 playing soccer is this something that in the 21st century in montreal canada an 11 year old should be

00:27:51.440 saying to his dad to his dad who went through what i went through when i was his age and yet you should

00:27:59.360 see the trolling i get boohoo jew cry some more jew so imagine i don't have the dignity i'm not afforded

00:28:09.200 the dignity to worry about the safety of my own family in israel i don't have the dignity or i'm

00:28:16.160 afforded the dignity to state what my childhood tragedy is i don't have the right to post something

00:28:24.800 where people are saying we know where you live we're coming for you because boohoo who'd you keep

00:28:31.280 crying that's what we're dealing with so anybody who's listening to this who is a good person who's

00:28:39.120 a decent human being will say you know what i could do one of three things i could either contribute to

00:28:46.000 this and make the world a better place because of my individual contribution i could do nothing or i

00:28:53.120 could worsen things the choice is yours again there's only three possibilities nothing that i do

00:29:00.400 or say comes from anything but a place of purity and my ideals of purity are about truth and freedom

00:29:09.600 as i explained in the parasitic mind you can't have a good society without complete freedom not freedom to 0.91

00:29:18.960 say let's go kill the jews but freedom of thought freedom of speech of course as long as you're not 0.98

00:29:26.560 engaging in libel and defamation and screaming fire the proverbial theater and inciting violence 0.99

00:29:33.040 i am a free speech absolutist i do support the right of holocaust deniers to spew their 0.98

00:29:38.880 bullshit because those are just falsehoods that we can hopefully reject with better ideas with better 0.97

00:29:46.720 debating skills but what is unforgivable on a human level is to see the just brazen or giastic 0.99

00:29:56.080 visceral jew hatred that is found in every nook and cranny everywhere that i now look everywhere and 0.95

00:30:05.840 this is not in the middle east it's not in yemen it's not in pakistan it's not in syria it's not in

00:30:11.840 lebanon it's not in egypt it's at colombia university and at cornell university and at

00:30:17.040 harvard university and at my university concordia university so please don't think that the problem

00:30:23.920 is going to go away it's only going to get worse i think i've spoken enough i'm going to close this

00:30:30.240 session thank you for everyone who came and if anybody wants to join me in the subscriber only

00:30:35.680 session you're welcome to do so i'll be going there soon cheers everybody in peace

00:30:43.760 hey guys can everybody hear me

00:30:49.280 all right we got the first person first subscribers joined i'll wait a few minutes i got three

00:30:55.120 subscribers that have joined i think we've got a couple of hundred subscribers so let's see how

00:30:59.920 many we can get uh i'll be here for about 20 to 30 minutes this is only for subscribers my apologies

00:31:07.920 if i haven't done much recently with the subscribers it's been a busy time let's put it this way uh but

00:31:13.920 i've never forgotten uh your support and i hope to be able to do any more of these i think this might

00:31:19.520 be the best way to do it where i first do a spaces that's open for everybody so i can draw in as much

00:31:26.240 traffic and then the q a is reserved for uh the subscribers only uh all right guys uh we can start

00:31:35.680 if you want i don't know how to again kind of navigate through all the mechanics of how to moderate

00:31:42.960 such a session so what i would ask is if you have any questions uh and you want to you want speaking

00:31:50.080 speaker privileges i'll grant you the speaker privilege but then you know uh get off i don't

00:31:57.520 know if you can after i grant it to you please get off the speaker privilege so that someone else can

00:32:01.920 get a a chance to speak okay so does anybody have any comments or questions i mean of course i could

00:32:08.560 still just speak but i want to open the floor to you that's really the the point of uh

00:32:14.000 this session i've got i've got tons of listeners a few listeners but i don't have anybody who wants

00:32:21.520 to speak anybody's want to start us off please take it away again it's not hard for me to just

00:32:26.880 talk but i i want to hear from you guys going once who wants to start okay request we got eric here we go

00:32:39.440 let me grant eric uh how do you wait a second how do i grant you the request one second request yes

00:32:49.680 okay eric davis how are you doing

00:32:55.200 can you hear me hello can you hear me i can hear you go ahead um so i uh you recently viral

00:33:04.880 pinned tweet that's uh rather pessimistic i just thought i'd ask um maybe there is a turning

00:33:13.360 point you could uh be rather optimistic about it what may push this parasitic mind virus out of

00:33:23.280 the colleges what could this be the turning point or um are we are we i know you're on the of the view

00:33:32.480 that we are we're past that but if there is a turning point what could uh the turning point would have

00:33:39.760 to be a cataclysmic change in what is required to solve the problem and the i mean the the reason why

00:33:51.280 the problem is quite contractible is because you know it's it's it's multi-pronged right it's not just

00:33:57.200 that people have succumbed to parasitic ideas it's that not only have they succumbed to parasitic

00:34:02.240 ideas but many of these parasitic ideas have led to the opening of the doors so that you know people

00:34:07.840 who wish to do you harm and alter your societies have now come in in the millions so it's a really

00:34:13.040 multi-pronged attack but at the very least what you need to do is become incredibly intolerant of any

00:34:21.680 ideology that in any way poses a threat to our foundational values right that that that's a

00:34:30.880 non-negotiable right now the the reason why it is so difficult for most people to do that

00:34:37.360 is because they view it as well you know i can't attack someone's most cherished beliefs because then

00:34:44.480 that makes me a bigot that makes well no uh it makes you someone that has a functioning brain if we

00:34:51.280 were to say today look uh well by the way why do we have laws against sedition we have laws against

00:34:58.080 sedition because the law recognizes that there are certain beliefs that could be treacherous to a

00:35:06.080 society i mean as per call poppers you know tolerating the intolerable right so unless we're able to have

00:35:15.200 the the the testicular fortitude to say no i don't have to tolerate jew hatred that is openly condoned 0.92

00:35:24.880 within your religion no no no i don't have to tolerate the mistreatment of women because it is 0.78

00:35:30.720 tolerated in your religion and now of course people come back and say but no but person x is in that

00:35:36.240 religion and he doesn't believe those things well we don't care about what person x believes right

00:35:41.600 my friend moshe who's jewish eats pork and loves prosciutto that doesn't mean that moshe is the 0.71

00:35:50.560 correct representation of judaism moshe is eating pork despite the fact that judaism does not allow 0.99

00:35:58.720 the eating of pork right so i don't need to know about your friend who drinks alcohol and eats pork and

00:36:04.640 is gay and therefore that religion supports that no i need to study what is in your text what 0.54

00:36:11.440 is the foundational principles that guide members of that particular belief system if those belief

00:36:19.920 systems are incongruent with the west it really doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what needs

00:36:26.400 to then be done right i mean it really but the problem is no one has the fortitude to do that okay and

00:36:34.800 again i don't need to be lectured by anybody about the value of immigration again i'm the first to remind

00:36:41.040 people i am an immigrant and there are millions of people that belongs to all faiths and no faiths

00:36:47.360 who are absolutely lovely and want to do nothing but positive things in their host societies but life

00:36:53.360 is a statistical game right if i'm a physician and you come to me and say should i smoke doctor i would

00:37:02.080 say well if you want to increase your chances of not getting lung cancer you better not smoke now that

00:37:08.000 doesn't mean that non-smokers don't get lung cancers but life is navigating through statistical vagaries

00:37:16.480 and therefore if you let in people that come from societies where according to many different

00:37:22.960 surveys that those societies have 95 plus jew hatred then it does it shouldn't surprise you 1.00

00:37:31.040 that when the demographics of the host society changes you'll see an increase in jew hatred so

00:37:38.400 that's it that's the only turning point and i worry that the combination of parasitized mindsets

00:37:46.720 coupled with all of the policies that come from such parasitized mindsets is precisely why i wrote the

00:37:53.360 tweet yesterday if people weren't able to galvanize together in unison in defense of humanity after the

00:38:01.680 october 7th attack and if that led to an increase in jew hatred then my tweet was really poignant and that's

00:38:11.840 why it became viral because i think it resonated with people people said yeah i get you i think we're

00:38:17.280 in trouble thank you eric let me go to another request one second uh there's a request from t e

00:38:27.920 t teacup is that how you say it i don't know how you say it go ahead go for it

00:38:34.800 i gave you the floor teacup go ahead okay i agree 0.94

00:38:39.120 um the bigger picture is we just keep fucking doing it wrong every single time which part 0.90

00:38:52.240 all of it man i i don't exactly know i wasn't really prepared to be in this conversation right

00:38:58.560 now um but i would like to start a larger dialogue and get everyone to come to the table about

00:39:05.920 everyone's individual belief because we can't police everybody we can't police everyone's side 0.69

00:39:14.880 because we keep putting our fucking nose in everyone's business and it's it's incredibly 0.99

00:39:22.240 dangerous it there's no way forward with that like like that's just what it is left right progressive 0.97

00:39:28.960 liberal it doesn't matter we're all people we're all on this earth and if we can't learn to just

00:39:37.040 talk to each other and go hey you believe this i believe this i'm not going to take it from you 0.98

00:39:43.360 period then we can't go anywhere we're just going to keep doing the same shit over and over and over and 0.71

00:39:50.960 over you know i appreciate your your idealism but you know in the real world not everybody believes in 0.88

00:39:59.760 the lovely sentiments that you're expressing you know live and let live you're right you're right

00:40:04.560 so so therefore if people are allowed entry into your country and they are steadfastly against the

00:40:13.280 idea of live and let live then one should not be surprised if when they get in sufficient number they

00:40:20.000 say oh no there is no live and let live where i come from it's my way or the highway right and there is

00:40:26.800 you know more than a millennia of data supporting that in many many countries around the globe so again

00:40:34.640 it's only the the weakness of the westerner's mindset that says i should never criticize someone's

00:40:42.640 most cherished beliefs that gets us in this quiet mire right but it's precisely people like me

00:40:49.120 and people like ian hersey ali and others who hail from those societies that have to explain to

00:40:56.320 westerners that the buffet of societies out there outside of the west is not how the west is that's

00:41:04.640 not how life operates for much of human history much of you i agree right so how do you get people to

00:41:12.400 understand that well i don't know if you can but at the very least what you can do is say wait a minute

00:41:18.320 maybe we need to revisit our immigration policy maybe we need to have that so for example take what's

00:41:25.360 happening in the southern border of the united states right now you know in what world is it feet is it

00:41:32.080 reasonable that someone like me a professor of 30 years if i want to go and spend more than six months

00:41:38.320 a year in the united states i've been a professor at cornell at dartmouth and at uc irvine i got my ms

00:41:45.600 and my phd at cornell in the u.s the reason i'm saying that is not to flaunt my cv but to say i mean few

00:41:51.760 people are more american than i am as a canadian and yet i have to abide by certain visa laws to be allowed

00:41:59.200 entry into the united states but noble peace be upon him joe biden and the democrats think that it is

00:42:06.240 racist to have borders and therefore many people enter the country most of whom might be lovely

00:42:12.560 and don't want to commit crimes but many of whom are not so lovely and do want to cause mayhem so

00:42:18.800 you know it's not that complicated my house is protected by the fact that i have a front door with

00:42:24.560 a lock if i keep my door open probably someone will come in to do bad things in my home so you know

00:42:31.760 that's i mean that's why the parasitic mind was so successful because i offered a framework for

00:42:39.280 explaining how it could be that supposedly intelligent adults can be so hell-bent on their

00:42:46.960 self-destruction that's why i used the neuro parasitological framework because it's only a brain

00:42:53.760 parasite that can cause a human being or an animal to act in a way that is contrary to its best interest

00:43:00.240 there you have it all right all right let me see if there's anybody else uh do i have anybody else

00:43:06.160 no nobody else so eric and teacup you still have speaker privileges if anybody else wants to take it

00:43:14.640 i'd like to comment on teacups question sure um i think teacup may be a lex friedman sub as well

00:43:22.560 this live and let live i think you may have meant exactly what you were commenting on um

00:43:30.160 when it came to my question we need to kind of embrace intolerance to certain ideas this live and

00:43:36.320 let live is a utopian dream it's never going to come through and i don't know

00:43:42.480 forgive me for interrupting live and let lives works wonderfully when the great majority of the

00:43:50.960 population abides by that rule it's a classic game theoretic problem right so in game theory

00:43:57.360 you have distributions of people who are following strategy a and people who are following strategy b

00:44:02.960 and once the the the proportion of the population tilts in one way or the other then it becomes

00:44:09.680 difficult for the people in a to survive you know it's a classic game theoretic conundrum so

00:44:15.440 if every single person in a society abides by teacups live and let live then yeah of course that's

00:44:21.920 the perfect model but once you get 10 of the people who don't believe in live and let live you've

00:44:28.880 got problems once you've got 20 you've got bigger problems once you've got 30 40 then your days are

00:44:34.480 numbered and we you know we've got very accurate historical data that exactly supports that right

00:44:41.600 so you can go to a society where at one point there was zero percent of a particular religion in that

00:44:49.120 society and then magically a hundred years later 100 of the people became of that religion what

00:44:58.080 happened to everybody else where did they go are you with me so yeah so so the problem is that the

00:45:06.720 west doesn't have the stomach to say what every thinking human being is seeing but is afraid to say

00:45:15.040 so for example there are tons of videos now showing all sorts of now in in europe it's it's worse than

00:45:22.880 in canada and in canada it's worse than in the us but again it's only it's it's only a delayed reaction

00:45:30.160 in europe and all over in many many cities in berlin and london and in malmo and stock and everywhere

00:45:38.240 you have complete stopping of of the traffic and there are public prayers what do you think that action

00:45:46.080 is that says we are now in sufficient number and we will now stop traffic when it's our time to pray

00:45:54.960 right some people say well what's the big deal why don't we just be tolerant if it's their time to pray

00:46:00.320 it's there well no because we believe and practice your religion in private don't stick it out and shove it

00:46:08.160 in my face well those folks will also abide by that when they're one percent or two percent but once

00:46:15.280 we're twenty percent or twenty five percent or forty percent look out we're coming for you right play the

00:46:22.480 victim when you are in the minority and show no mercy when you're in the majority that's the issue

00:46:29.920 right and again correct and again i have listen i don't need to be lectured by anyone about the fact that

00:46:36.400 most people of most faiths are lovely i have more friends and fans and supporters that come from the

00:46:42.720 faith in question who are absolutely lovely as i explained in the public spaces it was both muslims

00:46:50.320 who were going to kill us and it was muslims who defended us when we were being driven to the airport 0.99

00:46:55.280 so there is good and bad in any faith but we're talking about ideologies does that ideology

00:47:02.480 is it congruent with western values if yes then we should open more the door to those guys if no

00:47:08.800 then we need to revisit the policy and until you solve that problem everything else is immaterial

00:47:16.480 this is like saying you have pancreatic cancer but what i'd like you to do for now is worry about your

00:47:25.840 eczema and your uh uh dandruff on your hair let's first solve your dandruff then we'll worry about 0.93

00:47:34.960 pancreatic cancer okay some ideological beliefs are cancerous and by the way communism is that right i

00:47:43.920 mean have enough people in the government who are communists and then we're all dead right so so it's not

00:47:50.480 as correct there is a monopoly on evil ideologies so so i'm not trying to not that i need to say

00:47:57.040 this but i don't need to be picking on what but ideologies don't have feelings ideologies don't have

00:48:02.560 rights that's what i explained in the parasitic mind right don't be bigoted against individuals but

00:48:09.440 no ideology is above mockery scrutiny criticism the disdain that's what constitutes a free society i'm 0.98

00:48:17.840 jewish i support the right of holocaust deniers to spew their utter bullshit right there is nothing 0.95

00:48:24.160 more offensive than to deny the heart of the holocaust and yet if i am a free speech absolutist 1.00

00:48:30.720 i have to put up with those assholes so i get what free speech is about but free speech doesn't give you 0.91

00:48:36.400 the right to stand outside my university and go from the river to the sea palestine will be free 0.99

00:48:44.480 how does the israeli student feel when you scream that in his face so i should be expelled from

00:48:49.840 the university if i misgender you with the wrong pronoun but you can call for the eradication and 0.98

00:48:55.760 the gassing of jews on their free speech that doesn't make sense to me correct correct all right who 0.98

00:49:02.480 else wants to speak let me just i've got i would like to hold on i got dj sorry guys i just want to

00:49:07.840 bring in everybody i've got dj and i've got el errante the floor is yours first bj you can go and

00:49:15.680 then el errante you can take it away and i'll only be able to stay for another 10 minutes or so guys but

00:49:20.400 take it away bj it's good to talk to you brother you too um you know this whole everybody's been

00:49:26.880 watching your tweets and thank you for doing what you're doing and speaking out my dad was a teacher so

00:49:33.280 there's always been this undercurrent of this level of sort of anti-semitism but it was kind of ignored

00:49:40.480 here at least my entire life growing up uh i can't i cannot believe the type of comments you're now

00:49:48.720 starting to see um my question is firstly two questions and one is for my first did you ever

00:49:56.160 anticipated get getting this bad have you seen it you know grow over time um based on your experience

00:50:04.720 and the other thing is with that phrase from the river to the sea uh what they often say not always

00:50:10.880 but there's a phrase that comes before that which is we want 58 states we don't want two states maybe

00:50:17.840 you can comment on those two things yes of course i'll start with i'll start with the second one the 58 states

00:50:23.520 comes from the fact that there are 57 members in the uh oic the organization of islamic cooperation

00:50:31.200 this is the uh the organization that places under one umbrella the entire islamic world and under 0.72

00:50:38.800 islam there is the concept of the umma the umma is the islamic nation so everyone every country that is 0.63

00:50:44.480 islamic becomes part of the supra nation and so when you say 58 country uh that means that you want 0.87

00:50:52.720 quote falastin as we say in arabic to be an islamic country right so there is no two-state solution

00:50:59.680 there is no it's it's we want it to be now why is that uh there because there's also a principle in

00:51:06.320 islam that divides the world into two worlds dar al-islam and dar al-harab okay and so that's why it's 1.00

00:51:14.480 very difficult for a lot of these folks to argue against me or come after me because usually

00:51:19.360 the most westerners they just go boo hoo hoo you're islamophobic you don't speak arabic you don't

00:51:24.240 know what you're talking about it's going to be a lot harder to delegitimize me given that arabic is

00:51:30.080 my mother tongue and given that i i know what i'm talking about when i talk about these things right so

00:51:34.400 dar al-islam and dar al-harab is the fact that any country that is already under the dominion of islam 0.99

00:51:41.360 becomes islamic forever more it could never be lost and any country that is yet to be islamic 0.94

00:51:49.680 inshallah one day it will be placed under the unifying flag of allah that's doctrinal that's there

00:51:58.160 that's it's those beliefs that drive the actions of the people who do the october 7th right it doesn't

00:52:05.200 come from magic it's not because they watched oprah it's not because they didn't get enough

00:52:10.320 lack of art exposure it's not because of climate change it's not because of beard bullying all of

00:52:15.680 those causes by the way are actual causes that very very smart super progressive professors have

00:52:22.320 offered as the reasons why there is islamic based terrorism right that's what i discussed in the

00:52:27.280 parasitic mind so that answers your second question as to your first question bj i hate to be the one to

00:52:34.560 say no i'm not surprised by it i couldn't exactly predict for you the rate at which it would

00:52:40.960 accelerate but you can go back to my public engagements for many many many years where i'm

00:52:46.080 saying it's coming for you it's going to turn into lebanon it might take 10 years 20 years 50 years it's

00:52:53.440 coming there is no other possibility right a physician knows what happens when you get diabetes it's not

00:53:00.960 it's not something that is mysterious you get diabetes we know how that transpires if we don't

00:53:08.080 have an intervention so i saw the writing on the wall i kept screaming very few people listen and now

00:53:15.920 an increasing number of people are writing to me and saying boo hoo hoo i should have listened but again

00:53:21.440 that speaks to what i mentioned earlier which is most people are selfishly myopic in their world 0.98

00:53:28.480 view right if it doesn't affect me then fuck it right i'm too busy buying tomatoes tonight i'm too busy 0.97

00:53:35.840 worrying about my exam tomorrow right because people also don't have the selflessness to say 0.99

00:53:41.680 let me put my neck where it doesn't necessarily belong today but the minute that my fellow super

00:53:48.800 liberal progressive jews saw that now they were at risk when they're going to go to synagogue today in

00:53:56.560 montreal or toronto or mississauga or detroit or atlanta or minnesota now suddenly they're writing

00:54:04.640 to me and say oh professor what's going on you see this but that's not how honorable people should act

00:54:11.760 honorable people say even when it is not personally affecting me i should stand up and do the right thing

00:54:19.120 because as ronald reagan reminded us long ago every generation requires that we defend freedoms with all

00:54:28.240 of our might because in every generation there are folks not just the folks that i've been talking about 0.99

00:54:34.240 all sorts of folks uh aoc is one of those folks she's not islamic but she's a moron who believes in 1.00

00:54:41.200 socialism so in every generation there are people who say we don't want your freedoms we have a better 0.97

00:54:48.960 idea for how society should be organized and god willing inshallah if i have the power i will make

00:54:56.000 you abide by my by my world's view and so this is why ronald reagan was so uh uh poignant when he made

00:55:04.720 that that quote which is stand up at the fence and defend those freedoms but most people say ah come on

00:55:11.920 it's never going to happen here but now you're seeing it so to to kind of summarize my my answer bj uh

00:55:18.880 i couldn't have told you that was going to happen in the last two weeks because obviously i couldn't

00:55:22.240 have predicted that october 7 was going to happen but seeing the level of just foaming rabid or

00:55:30.400 chiastic jew hatred that i've seen i think that it's much worse than most of us could have even predicted 0.83

00:55:37.200 because now the mask is off and the jew hatred is fully

00:55:42.320 condoned and you know let's have at it so i'll give you an example if i earlier today i mean just

00:55:50.480 just think how diabolical this is earlier today someone had posted about the the the the endless the

00:55:59.920 the industrial level rates of young girls young british white girls in britain all of which 99 of

00:56:10.960 which were committed committed by members of one particular faith who tell you that they are

00:56:16.720 committing it because it is allowed in their faith so they're actually saying that it is religiously

00:56:22.560 sanctioned by their faith so i you know again i always speak in a very measured way i simply retweeted

00:56:29.280 and i said could you tell us what is common to people who are committing those rapes and then a bunch of

00:56:38.880 jew haters typically these are more the kind of the the neo-nazi types these are not islamic

00:56:45.920 jew haters said yes but it is the jews who let in those people in those countries so in other words 0.92

00:56:54.240 when ahmad rapes a british girl it's not ahmad who should be blamed it's the jew who let ahmad in that's 0.97

00:57:05.280 the level of how diabolical and soul-crushing jew hatred is because it doesn't allow you to even 1.00

00:57:14.400 believe your lying eyes because there could only be one source of calamities it has to be the jew 1.00

00:57:25.360 and therefore every possible calamity as i explained in chapter one of the parasitic mind you got diabetes 0.99

00:57:33.440 well who is the who who creates the sweets and the sugar that causes diabetes it's the jew who's holding 1.00

00:57:40.800 the the the the cure from having you know the cure for diabetes is the jewish doctor if your wife 0.97

00:57:48.000 cheated on you who probably put that thought in her it's the jews who peddle pornography and she 1.00

00:57:53.760 probably got the idea to cheat because she was watching porn so it's really the jew it's raining today 0.99

00:57:59.120 outside who's probably behind it the jew now if you think i'm being hyperbolic i'm not right the egyptians

00:58:05.920 there there was an attack of sharks in sharm el sheikh which is a a uh a tourist area in the red sea

00:58:15.280 in egypt it was sharks who attacked some tourists the tourist industry in the region took a hit

00:58:24.800 do you know who the egyptian authorities claimed the shark attack i'm getting a phone call guys hang on

00:58:32.720 what's that so who who did they blame it on they blamed it on the zionists the zionists apparently

00:58:41.840 were training sharks to attack swimmers in egypt because then that would be the way that the the

00:58:49.520 jews would harm the egyptian economy and therefore people go out on the street death to jews death to 1.00

00:58:55.440 jews right so but it was one thing when it was now contained in egypt and yemen and syria and lebanon

00:59:04.640 and pakistan but now it's at noble columbia now it's at my alma mater one of the most prestigious

00:59:12.640 universities in world history cornell university cornell was so jewish historically that it's there

00:59:19.760 there are t-shirts you can buy where cornell is written in hebrew that's how much of a jewish 0.59

00:59:25.120 university it was but now you've got a cornell professor who stands up some of you may have seen

00:59:31.200 it and says guys how exhilarated were you when you saw hamas doing what they did how excited were you

00:59:41.200 and now he's taken a leave of absence now why did this cornell professor feel emboldened to say that

00:59:49.200 he was exhilarated and excited at hamas raping and murdering 1400 people because he said well the

00:59:57.920 political atmosphere is such that probably i will be viewed as a laudable person for saying that so it

01:00:06.640 doesn't take 500 years for the winds to change it just takes for most of us to sit quietly let me

01:00:13.520 go to the next person el erante take it away please thank you um dr goss first of all major

01:00:19.600 respect for you being a champ and then overall navigating the situation and i can completely

01:00:24.960 understand the state of uncertainty that you have sorry to interrupt i have to go okay so let me ask

01:00:30.960 the question so um two two questions uh first of all um you seem to generalize all the muslims and unite

01:00:39.040 us but um how do you distinguish and how do you make a um like a measured stance that you are actually

01:00:46.560 capturing the whole sentiment aren't you aware of very strong push from within against any sort of

01:00:52.960 literalism or angry question number one question number two how the historical context plays in and how 0.97

01:01:00.720 the iraq war and overall stupid decisions made by certain opportunistic policy makers shaped into 0.91

01:01:10.080 that because ptsd is a real thing right thank you uh well uh first thank you for your very respectful 0.83

01:01:17.600 way of handling such difficult debates i appreciate that uh to your first question i don't know if it was

01:01:23.360 in the current subscriber only session or or maybe in the earlier one where i was speaking to everybody

01:01:29.520 i specifically said that uh i'm the first to recognize that there are lovely people in all

01:01:35.760 faiths and bad people in all faiths and i i specifically said that it was muslims who wanted 0.99

01:01:41.600 to kill us in lebanon and it was muslims who saved us in lebanon and so and i specifically said that i

01:01:48.480 probably have more friends and supporters and fans who are muslim than most people will ever know so

01:01:54.960 again i you know it becomes cheap for me to say and in a sense it's insulting for anybody to think

01:02:00.640 that i'm not sufficiently reasonable and liberal to recognize that even though most people of any

01:02:07.520 faith might be very nice we have a problem with islam right now when you say that many people are 1.00

01:02:13.920 trying to fight against you know literalism and so on well they're not fighting hard enough if i may

01:02:19.280 say respectfully right because every single person who dies at the hands of those people who do take

01:02:26.880 literally the words in their doctrines is a person who suffered a tragedy by the way as you know most of

01:02:34.160 the people who are victims of that literal interpretation of their faith are other muslims right so and as i said

01:02:43.200 earlier when i saw you know 1500 young muslims being uh walked to the border of the euphrates river and

01:02:51.360 put a bullet in their head by isis i was just as angry when i saw that mr al-erante than i was when i 0.90

01:03:00.320 heard about the killing on october 7th because my moral calculus doesn't get angry if it's only a person 0.98

01:03:07.520 of my faith that gets killed right so so i'm wholeheartedly with you having said all that

01:03:15.040 it would take a profoundly either ignorant or dishonest person none of which i believe you are

01:03:22.800 to say there isn't a problem inherent to some of the doctrines of the faith would you consider that

01:03:30.960 absolutely there is and sorry to interrupt but we are very very strong like there's a very strong

01:03:36.960 activism inside we want to build new zamiya 2.0 and you guys should research how seljuks

01:03:44.720 solve this radicalization problem and i just wanted to let you know that within muslims themselves there's

01:03:50.400 a real activism the real anger against angry bearded men so i just wanted to tell that no thank you i mean

01:03:57.200 i think that i've always thought to be honest with you the problem is going to be solved

01:04:03.600 if there's ever a possibility for b to for there to be a reformation within islam that allows it to

01:04:10.880 become you know more congruent with western values now the reason why i'm pessimistic about that and i'm

01:04:16.640 i'm perfectly happy to be proven wrong i would love nothing more than to be proven wrong is that within

01:04:23.360 the doctrines of say christianity there was the possibility for the light of reformation to come

01:04:29.920 in the the unique difficulty with islam as as i'm sure you know and maybe some of our other listeners

01:04:36.720 know if you start off with the premise that not a single haraf as we say in arabic not a single letter

01:04:46.640 in the uh religion is wrong and is eternal and is inerrant then how can you apply the tools of 0.97

01:04:57.040 reformation to change that right so here's one way that you could and now i'm going to get technical

01:05:04.000 regarding this the specific doctrines of islam some of you may find that interesting others may

01:05:09.040 not but it's it's worthwhile because we have here a speaker who you know who who clearly understands

01:05:14.800 some of these issues uh so there is a the concept of abrogation islam okay so an abrogation

01:05:22.640 like i see your hand i'll see the floor to you in a second i'll let you speak in a minute just let me

01:05:28.080 finish the point i'll see the floor to you abrogation is the following so there are two periods in the

01:05:34.320 quran there is the meccan period and the median period so the mecca period uh muhammad was preaching

01:05:42.480 actually some rather you know peaceful stuff but in all of his proselytizing during that period he

01:05:49.840 wasn't able to draw many adherents then he had to leave mecca and went to medina and in medina

01:05:57.760 his message changed it became a lot less friendly okay now you don't need to believe me you just have

01:06:05.680 to there is this thing called google there is this thing called books you can go read it yourself okay

01:06:11.280 so in the medinan period he became a lot less let's just say politely tolerant certainly a lot less

01:06:20.160 tolerant to those diabolical jews okay so now there's a problem how could god on the one hand say 1.00

01:06:27.280 x and then later say not x or vice versa so then the the concept of abrogation came along which is 0.75

01:06:34.480 when there are two contradictory messages then the later one abrogates the earlier one so if earlier

01:06:42.080 i said you should drink an espresso but later i said you should not drink an espresso then you

01:06:48.880 should not drink an espresso becomes the operative edict that you should follow yes you follow so now

01:06:55.920 here's what i suggest find somewhere some new abrogation that says all of the violent stuff

01:07:04.400 is forever more abrogated to never be used again so don't sit there and try to interpret

01:07:12.080 what does kill kill kill mean and could kill kill kill mean kill with love and kindness that kind of 0.69

01:07:19.040 reformation which majid now is now was was trying to put is is bullshit there's been many many very 0.95

01:07:26.560 very smart islamic theologians that have tried that approach and has always failed you have to have a 0.97

01:07:32.160 whole hearted full throttle reformation of all the stuff so so again islam has a spiritual element 0.99

01:07:42.160 which is very beautiful and it has a political element regrettably about 90 percent of islam is 1.00

01:07:48.960 political islam now sufism which is a sect of islam is gorgeous it's beautiful it's peaceful so again

01:07:57.200 people think that when i say the things that i do i i mean very few people will be able to go toe to

01:08:01.920 toe will be talking about islam so it's not as though i don't know what i'm talking about i come from

01:08:06.160 lebanon arabic is my mother tongue i could recite those passages in arabic okay so i get it there are

01:08:15.120 hundreds of millions of lovely muslims but yet they sit idly while others act on those beliefs so how many

01:08:24.880 people need to die before we rise up against this so yes maybe you're right mr el erante maybe there

01:08:31.600 are people working on the reformation but they need to work at it much more quickly and much more

01:08:36.480 assiduously i cede the floor to you take it away yeah thank you so much so i think uh even though if you

01:08:41.920 reform it a hundred times as long as there is oil or lithium in islamic territories i miss what you said

01:08:49.040 could you repeat it you are mumbled can you say it again oh sorry uh so no no matter how many times

01:08:53.760 you do it for unless there is uh uh you know oil or lithium in islamic territories there's going to be

01:08:59.920 some other projects for uh you know guerrilla fighters to emerge magically right so i i think um here's the

01:09:07.280 one thing that i wanted to share in regards to my heritage so i'm coming from horosan and merv is the

01:09:15.280 birthplace basically of uh islamic strand that we fall and uh we trace back to uh the sahaba buraida and

01:09:24.080 hakim al-wafari who both two of them actually were prosecuted by umayyad caliphs and my father's side

01:09:30.960 is coming from buraida and so i'm kind of uh carrying that generational aversion against the religion being

01:09:39.440 the tool in terms of in hands of autograph and there's a very robust sets of tools very robust

01:09:47.120 sets of like uh dealing with these things and um i don't think you can reform anything even if you do

01:09:53.360 reform there will be plenty of bad players or intelligent agents frankly speaking that they

01:10:00.480 can come up with their own stuff and then they just keep uh motivating these anglers man i think we

01:10:05.360 need to tackle this very seriously fundamentally but i want to give you some i don't know you you

01:10:11.360 may believe or not sure the turkey union is a new entity which is emerging and turkish speaking

01:10:18.240 people specifically because of that trauma and because of the strand we have and against you know

01:10:24.400 politicizing against really crashing the religion by making it as a power tool so we actually push

01:10:31.520 back against it right now you know god gave us the power again because uh turks have turks have that

01:10:38.960 but right now we're just cleaning up the house and rebuilding this whole thing and one thing that

01:10:44.560 needs to stop is opportunistic funding of this jihad which i'm very very against there's a lot of uh you

01:10:51.760 know shady things going on which actually hurt our code but yeah beautiful look at this right look at the

01:10:58.400 difference between you and i being able to sit no nastiness no hate no emotions just two people

01:11:07.600 having a conversation right that's how civilized people resolve their issues but if i know the

01:11:14.080 reality is if i may speak of myself i'm hardly one who says things i mean yes sometimes i could use

01:11:19.600 sarcasm and satire and so on but i truly come from a place of purity and yet honestly if i showed you

01:11:26.400 the amount of hate that i've received you would say my goodness this is truly unbelievable that hate

01:11:32.720 is not coming from orthodox jews that hate is not coming from you know uh maga extremists from arkansas

01:11:40.000 they're oftentimes coming from you know unfortunately your co-religionists who don't have the reflex to be

01:11:48.400 able to tolerate that someone might think differently for them because again think about it most people that

01:11:53.680 come from from uh from islam usually come from societies where they are the grand majority right

01:12:00.880 they're 95 98 99 of the population right in most places even in egypt there's only about 10 coptic 0.99

01:12:07.840 christians that the rest are islamic so there isn't a reflex for most people to say let me tolerate

01:12:14.400 someone who may disagree with me right now until you develop that reflex then you it's going to be very

01:12:21.280 difficult for many of these folks to integrate within a society where where the society is

01:12:27.200 built on the fact that we all come with many different beliefs right so so this is why i said

01:12:32.240 earlier that you know i don't need to be lectured by anybody about the the beauty and the value of

01:12:37.280 immigration i'm an immigrant myself but for god's sakes you can't allow you know at germany allowed millions

01:12:44.400 and millions of completely unvetted people who come from cultures and again it's not one culture

01:12:49.920 right it could be yemen and pakistan and syria and this and that and those people don't have the

01:12:55.440 same tradition of freedom of speech so therefore if you come to a society where it is perfectly

01:13:01.360 acceptable to criticize christianity or criticize hinduism or criticize judaism and suddenly you draw a

01:13:08.000 cartoon of the prophet muhammad then they're going to come for you because they don't come from 1.00

01:13:12.400 societies where that's tolerated right so i that's why i was very pessimistic yesterday when i put that

01:13:18.560 tweet when i posted that tweet because again this is a problem that is intractable unless reasonable

01:13:25.360 people like you mr el arante can sit down and have productive conversations without making death

01:13:33.120 threats against anybody who disagrees with you absolutely thank you so much i really yeah and i will

01:13:39.120 um yep i will uh just conclude with that we're doing it not because of you not because of any any hatred

01:13:46.160 outside it's because of we feel betrayed we feel like somebody is hijacking the religion right

01:13:52.720 that's a very strong anger that we have like uh the representatives of really like golden age of

01:13:58.640 this one so yeah like we're our motivation is very strong our you know means are also powerful

01:14:04.720 because we follow science and reasoning and yeah i will actually record probably uh reaction to this

01:14:10.560 well many things i don't want to take too much time but god bless and be safe and i'll actually come

01:14:16.720 and protect you oh you are you are too kind shukran habibi and uh may may the good vibes be with you

01:14:23.600 also thank you so much thank you okay let me go to the other two speakers we got calip and we've got

01:14:30.800 connor maybe we can go with calip and then we'll go to connor next take it away calip

01:14:35.040 calip are you there no i am okay where i can't hear you where's the fat gad picture from

01:14:49.280 where's the fat gad picture from well there are many fat gad pictures because i was fat for a very

01:14:55.920 long time so i don't know which one you're talking about are you talking about the one that was in the

01:15:00.240 in the list that came out yesterday by some uh crazy person is that the one you're talking about

01:15:05.840 yeah uh that one might have been some media that had taken a picture of me for some article uh i think

01:15:15.920 that's what it was i thought it was really funny the way your response is also my wife has something to 0.96

01:15:23.120 say hello i am from afghanistan i just wanted to tell you how thankful i am that you're speaking about

01:15:37.840 this you're standing for the liberties and western values and i do stand for those values as well and

01:15:46.400 me and you understand from the background that we are from how much hate we get for standing for

01:15:52.000 western values and for trouble so thank you thank you so much it really means a lot to me and by the

01:16:02.080 way to the earlier gentleman who was here mr erante uh you don't know how happy i am when i receive

01:16:09.200 emails from from bahrain from kuwait from egypt from pakistan like you from afghanistan where people

01:16:16.640 say exactly the same thing as you most people from any faith are lovely but the reality is if they

01:16:22.960 don't fight themselves to change the bad parts within their societies i hate to say it then they are

01:16:30.000 complicit right so thank you so much for your love i appreciate it may hopefully one day afghan uh

01:16:37.360 afghanistan be free of all this nonsense as as i'm sure you know you've seen those photos where 1.00

01:16:42.800 women were walking around in the 1970s you ever see those photos in kabul you see 1970s women and then 0.98

01:16:49.760 you see the women today my goodness hopefully we can return to those liberal days of the 1970s because 1.00

01:16:56.320 the afghani people are beautiful people thank you so much let me go to was it calum

01:17:02.880 that was me i just spoke oh yeah okay so we i covered everybody so is everybody spoken everybody's

01:17:11.360 good nice i think you just gave me permission to it's connor oh connor so sorry go ahead connor i

01:17:16.560 said yes go ahead go connor thanks dr um yeah it's just been so sad lately seeing all this anti-semitism

01:17:24.400 um i'm just i'm over here in sacramento california and i haven't seen so much anti-semitism as

01:17:32.640 currently i'm seeing in a lot of twitter spaces and i was just gonna ask i mean what can i just

01:17:38.480 you know this 28 year old in sacramento california do or any of us around the world to you know reverse

01:17:45.920 these trends of of anti-semitism of hatred thank you you know i mean what other advice do you have

01:17:52.480 you know what to speak out to my friends already exactly already you asking the question is step

01:17:58.560 one right because you could easily just say hey this is not a problem with my concern now let me go

01:18:03.440 watch the nfl right so already the fact that you're saying hey i want to come to the spaces i want to

01:18:08.720 talk about it i want to see what i can help that you're already well into step one so you could talk

01:18:14.160 to your friends about it if your friend says hey i'm uh i'm all for queers for palestine you know there's 1.00

01:18:21.680 there's an actual group called queers for palestine which of course i responded that's 0.86

01:18:25.680 exactly like saying geese for foie cup or as someone else said chicken for kentucky fried chicken

01:18:32.160 right how could you be queer and be for palestine right if you are queer then you certainly want to 0.93

01:18:37.440 be for tel aviv which is an incredibly queer friendly place gaza is not known for its queer friendliness 0.64

01:18:44.080 right so if someone is if you have a friend you're sitting at the pub and they are they identify as

01:18:49.360 being a member of the queer community and say yeah yeah queer for palestine then using the socratic

01:18:55.040 method challenge them what what do you mean what does it mean for you to be queer for palestine

01:19:00.640 if you're queer would you have a better life in palestine or would you have so in other words 0.84

01:19:05.120 just engage people and usually if you do it in a way where you know you you allow the space for the

01:19:11.920 dialogue to take place you can you can flip people it's hard it takes effort it takes courage because

01:19:18.160 oftentimes people are afraid to have these difficult conversations but that's step one you could do

01:19:23.840 you can if you're if you always vote for one particular party uh that may be the the the one who

01:19:34.400 spawns all of these parasitic ideas well maybe rethink voting for that party so for example i posted

01:19:39.440 earlier today a survey where i said hey to my american jewish friends are you all still going to vote

01:19:44.800 democrats now why did i say that it's not because i wanted to turn the issue into a political one

01:19:49.120 but there is a very clear reality when it comes to whether the democrat party should should today be

01:19:56.240 the home of american jews because we do know that there is a growing uh you know group of anti-semitic

01:20:04.160 folks that are in the democratic party so you could vote differently if you are a i know this may not be your

01:20:11.280 case you're a 25 year old young person but if you are a wealthy donor as some folks have been doing

01:20:18.720 recently you might contact cornell and columbia and harvard and say hey you remember that five

01:20:24.320 million dollar that was here marked for you f you it's not coming your way because allowing hamas 1.00

01:20:31.040 supporters on campus is contrary to what i believe in and you just lost 10 million so so there's an

01:20:37.600 endless number of ways by which people can get engaged i only just gave two or three but all i

01:20:44.080 ask for people is to at least have the reflex that you just had which is hey how can i help how can i

01:20:50.640 contribute if you see something on twitter for example you know people think that it may not

01:20:55.280 matter when they send me a sweet message it really does matter right because i can't read all the messages 0.94

01:21:01.200 i get i get a million messages but when i'm sort of quickly scrolling and i see a bunch of assholes you 0.89

01:21:06.560 know attacking me you don't think it's beautiful when then i see a whole bunch of other people 0.92

01:21:11.280 saying lovely things right so you could you could just be supportive of those who are on the front

01:21:16.160 line you could fund those who are on the front line you could subscribe to my channel you could so

01:21:21.360 there's an endless number of ways by which people can contribute to the battle from very small ways

01:21:27.920 to very large ways just get engaged that's all i ask of you how does that sound sounds really great

01:21:35.040 thank you so much for for your insight and i'm glad i can subscribe to you now thank you so much

01:21:39.280 sir take care who else do i have anybody else who wishes to speak otherwise we went well well over

01:21:46.000 what we're supposed to but i'm glad i did it because i was feeling the increased pressure i mean i don't

01:21:50.560 like to have subscribers and not feed you you know exclusive content so i'm really glad that we had this

01:21:56.640 conversation guys please don't forget to as i've just mentioned to to connor please participate in

01:22:04.160 any way that you can uh if you can't participate for whatever reason support in very explicit ways

01:22:10.560 those who are putting their necks on the line who i mean sometimes literally sometimes professionally

01:22:16.000 sometimes personally uh just do that and uh hopefully we can turn the tide around and hopefully the

01:22:23.600 the pessimistic tweet that i posted yesterday will not come to fruition thank you all so much god

01:22:30.000 bless and i'll talk to you soon cheers everybody thank you so much thank you bye
