00:54:50.400 look at the porn selection in the Garden Valley School Division. But before I share that with you,
00:54:55.940 I feel that important to show you this. It's a newsletter from the Garden Valley Teachers
00:55:00.140 Association. In it, they showcase a brand new challenge book lending library. The creation of
00:55:07.220 this library was a direct response to the outcry of thousands of community members to remove
00:55:12.260 sexually explicit material from the children's section in the South Central Regional Library
00:55:17.560 in Winkler, Manitoba. Through this challenged books lending library, books are being made
00:55:23.020 available to teaching staff to borrow and read for themselves to decide whether or not they believe
00:55:28.640 that they are appropriate for students or not. The newsletter lists a number of highly concerning
00:55:33.460 titles. I've highlighted some of the ones that I am familiar with, but clearly there's more books
00:55:38.360 I need to be looking into. A couple particularly disturbing books on their list are these two,
00:55:43.660 both of which are essentially sex act handbooks. The second one there is one of the picture books
00:55:49.720 that the community pushed to have removed from the children's section in the public library.
00:55:54.320 I won't be sharing the images of the inside of that book here. However, I have included a link
00:55:59.080 to the book in the description and i will issue a strong warning to those who choose to view it

00:56:26.040 material to be handed to children. The role of the teachers union is to advocate for the
00:56:30.760 rights of teachers. I'd like to know which teachers came to them with the concern that
00:56:35.240 some parents didn't want their kids being given pornography. Or is this something that
00:56:39.560 the unions came up with on their own? Which then begs the question, what purpose or role
00:56:44.760 have the teachers unions taken on? To be DEI social justice warriors forcing their political
00:56:50.920 agenda on the teachers and therefore the children? While teachers unions play a role in shaping
00:56:56.040 education policies shouldn't parents have the final say in what material is being made available
