00:20:41.620successful as countries, as economies, as a continent, because we do things so well
00:30:44.000Are there any recommendations that need to be followed up on?
00:30:45.860And the first and foremost is to repeat our call for an independent review of the election, of the election process.
00:30:52.580What that independent review needs to look at is not just, you know, these irregularities that we have found through the election process, through digging.
00:31:03.080They need also, quite frankly, to look at how the election was conducted by Elections BC.
00:31:09.780The fact that they are not focusing on making sure that there's Canadian citizenship for people that vote.
00:31:14.980that how can they follow up, in particular, for things like phone-in ballots and these types of things
00:31:20.400to make sure that it is the actual person, that there is Canadian citizenship.
00:31:25.240The independent review also needs to look at the Elections Act.
00:31:29.440Because, after all, this current election that we just went through
00:31:32.680was acting on the Election Act of 2019, which was authored by David Eby.
00:31:40.120The whole process of this election, it rests on David Eby's shoulders when he was Attorney General in terms of what has come forward here.
00:31:49.620The next things that need to be looked at, so there's the three components of the independent review that needs to be looked at.
00:31:54.740We're making a recommendation that all ID, all photo ID that's issued by the British Columbia Government should have a C on it if they are Canadian citizens.
00:32:05.060so that's your driver's license your bc id and that's a way for elections bc to make sure that
00:32:11.440people who vote are canadian citizens let's make sure to protect the integrity of the electoral
00:32:17.820process in british columbia pretty dark days when you have to ask the government to put a c
00:32:25.880on phone government issued id to put a c on it just so we can tell if if this person is a canadian
00:32:33.280citizen or not oh my god and how close was that election you know there's been a lot of people
00:32:40.120who have been talking about hey it was rigged it was so close it was rigged and the NDP found a way
00:32:45.120to sneak it in and nobody investigated because if you said election interference you were labeled as
00:32:49.860what a conspiracy theorist and nobody wants to be labeled as that and so they left it alone for a
00:32:55.560while but Rustad to his credit comes out today and says we got to have an investigation here
00:33:00.460And he did say at the beginning of that, which I cut out because it was long and boring.
00:33:04.180He's not the most exciting guy, John Rustad.
00:33:07.440But what he did say at the beginning of that was, look, there's been a lot of stories we
00:33:12.520heard, but they're only anecdotal and unprovable.
00:33:15.320So we're not going to bring those forward.
00:33:17.240But what we are bringing forward is proof that people haven't been able to vote because
00:33:22.180somebody else voted in their name or other people voted twice or people were voting
00:33:26.360outside of the riding they were supposed to be voting in, or they didn't live in the riding
00:33:30.540that they voted in, whatever. All kinds of irregularities going on in that election,
00:33:36.540and because it was so tight, it really needs to be looked at, even if it wasn't tight. I shouldn't
00:33:42.520have ever said that. Even if it wasn't tight, every election in this country needs to be run
00:33:49.560better period and if there is some kind of political interference in any of these elections
00:33:57.640then people need to go to prison or at least be investigated and tried and if found guilty
00:34:03.380then sent to prison all right speaking of bc and and the cbc too by the way i gotta credit cbc for

00:36:33.340I just haven't called, but I will, I promise. I swear. Anyway, Helen Groose suing the CBC for
00:36:39.240$875,000, alleging the broadcaster has waged an adverse campaign of publishing harmful,
00:36:45.140malicious, and harassing newspaper articles containing false statements. Groose is taking
00:36:51.400issue with pieces CBC ran between March of 2022 and December of 2023. The Ottawa Police Service,
00:36:58.500well, we did the whole video for you guys that Dave Freedom put together. Remember the other
00:37:02.840night we put that on? It's still available on my Facebook for you guys to see it. It's about
00:37:06.480eight minutes long. It's not going to take your entire life to watch it. It's also on my ex and
00:37:11.500the same with Dave. He's got it out there. It's been shared a couple thousand times now. So that's
00:37:15.960good. We need more people to see that video. It explains everything that has happened to Helen
00:37:21.800Groose in the past three or four years. Anyway, the Ottawa Police Services Professional Standards
00:37:27.740unit charged Groose in July of 2022 with discreditable conduct for action. She took
00:37:33.220probing a link between experimental COVID vaccines and a spike in infant deaths in the region. So we
00:37:38.480know that story. We also know a CBC reporter was the person, I don't want to say her name
00:37:46.380because it's very difficult to pronounce, but these two police officers illegally leaked this
00:37:52.780information to the CBC reporter who is named as a defendant in this lawsuit, according to documents
00:37:59.400filed at Ontario Superior Court. In the statement of claim, which has not been tested or proven in
00:38:04.300court, Groose alleges that CBC's March 28th and March 31st articles in 2022, based on confidential
00:38:10.920information from unnamed sources within Ottawa police, precipitated the administrative charge
00:38:16.020against her. Groose's claim also notes a third story published by CBC in December of 2023
00:38:22.840repeated false statements and interfered with her privacy and reputation while her case was
00:38:27.820before the tribunal. It was published a day before Groose's lawyer Bathsheba Vandenberg appeared
00:38:32.880before Ontario Divisional Court in a failed attempt to have a police duty book released
00:38:38.120to her client. The named reporter did not respond, of course, to True North's request for comment,
00:38:45.220But network spokesperson Chuck Thompson said in an email that CBC believes the claims made by Detective Bruce in her lawsuit are entirely without merit.
00:38:53.940That's what they always say when they're guilty.
00:38:57.080On the first day of tribunal hearings in August of 2023, police witness and lead PSU investigator Sergeant Jason Arbuthnot directly referenced the CBC stories in a nearly three hour audio recording of Bruce's compelled statement played by prosecutors for the tribunal.
00:39:13.820So, again, we will try and get both of them on, Helen Groose and Bathsheba Vandenberg, for comment on this.
00:39:20.460And just to see how they're doing, by the way.
00:39:22.140This has been a long, arduous process, hopefully in the next week or so, once they are available to do interviews.
00:39:30.020We've seen Bathsheba on a couple of other shows, but Helen, as of yet, hasn't made any public remarks.
