00:05:00.000 hello everybody welcome to shadow at night this is thursday may the 15th 2025 on the show tonight
00:05:16.080 attorney jeff rath with the uh sorry osperity what alberta prosperity project we're going to
00:05:23.260 talk about alberta sovereignty on the show tonight and jeff is as far as i'm concerned anyway the
00:05:29.260 leading authority on First Nations in this country. He's pretty much dedicated his life's
00:05:34.480 work to helping First Nations communities versus governments in many situations for the last 30
00:05:41.180 years. And so one of the big questions we have for Jeff tonight is why all of this opposition,
00:05:47.080 why all of this rhetoric coming from the First Nations regarding Alberta separating from Canada,
00:05:52.360 considering the fact that they'll probably be better off. So that's definitely one of the
00:05:57.420 topics that we're going to discuss tonight also jan arden you know that name jan arden singer
00:06:03.120 she's from alberta right so she released a video on her tiktok i'm not sure if it was last night
00:06:09.600 or today but guaranteed to make your blood boil completely and totally ignorant of everything 0.99
00:06:17.420 she is speaking straight from her ass and and we're going to play that video in just a few 1.00

00:07:38.540 before we get to jeff and the alberta sovereignty discussion tonight we do have an update that came
00:07:45.660 from Katie. Of course, Katie Pisidny at Universal Ostrich Farm in British Columbia. Very good day
00:07:53.300 today. It's a small win, but it's a win. And this weekend at the farm, in case you happen to be in
00:07:59.000 that area and you want to pop in and say hello, I know there's a lot of people heading down there.
00:08:03.900 Ostrich Fest this weekend. Here's Katie. Hi, everybody. It's Katie from Nottingham
00:08:12.140 right now i'm in nelson at the rdck office i have some really good news um we showed up today
00:08:20.480 feral said get in the car we you know he's like you gotta go and i was shaking i grabbed a bag
00:08:29.280 i jumped in the car we we got here in very good timing we got here just before the meeting ended
00:08:36.880 for the board of directors of the rdck discussing the dump and the acceptance of our carcasses
00:08:44.560 they called us back at 1 30. we they gave me a question and time to speak
00:08:50.240 and they just announced that they will be requiring that all that those carcasses can't
00:08:57.600 come to any of the rdck landfills without the further testing of the healthy animals that
00:09:03.520 are on our farm may 15th and after and to do so that they need to be retested before they accept
00:09:09.760 them um and that uh those results are going to have to be public knowledge i want to thank you
00:09:20.160 i want to thank you all so much for your continued support and to be on the farm oh my god
00:09:26.080 all of the love you know this is a win this is a big win for us because the landfill is
00:09:33.120 acknowledging that they will not accept our healthy big beautiful birds so i'm gonna see
00:09:38.960 you back at the farm here really soon um i love you all with all my heart i love you mama we're
00:09:45.040 gonna save those guys and we're gonna help all the other farmers out there we're gonna let you
00:09:50.480 guys know that you're not alone and we're gonna save you too and we're gonna fix these practices
00:09:55.920 that deserve to be fixed to help add sustainability back to our food supply protection to the farmers
00:10:04.240 who are heroes working tirelessly to try to change the world to to give us nutritional food supply
00:10:12.960 to give us nutritional food supply to um work like we have tirelessly to come up with options
00:10:18.080 and uh and give us options and research and stuff like we have here at our universal ostrich farms
00:10:26.160 to help stabilize viruses and disease in the future um without the need for all of the other
00:10:31.880 big pharma stuff um so i just love you all it was a really big win right now um i mean there's other
00:10:39.400 methods i don't want to i don't want to you know we still have the call order open we're working
00:10:44.100 hard at that but let's just keep bringing everybody to the farm let's make the change let's do it the
00:10:49.960 people's voices matter people opinion people's opinion matters and we can do this all across
00:10:55.060 the world i just want to really please instill something else and i don't want to take away
00:10:59.120 from the win because i just finally you know just felt so good to have something with such great
00:11:03.360 people happen but this is a small win and a big fight and the choice of the matter the fact is
00:11:09.540 at Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the call order is still on. So we set a precedence today
00:11:17.140 and let's hope, I'm going to call on you Vernon, I'm going to call on you Kelowna and all the
00:11:23.540 surrounding areas to step up and make the same stand, set the same precedence and let's protect
00:11:30.580 these animals and other farmers around the world. We have the ability to do so, we have a lot of
00:11:36.660 strength in numbers we public opinion matters i keep saying that um i appreciate all of you but
00:11:44.260 just remember small win in a big fight but that small win it was because of all these board members
00:11:50.240 listen to their heart and their intuition and they knew that this was wrong so you know being
00:11:56.080 threatened six months in jail 250 000 fine based on that we can't we can't retest to show that
00:12:02.660 these animals pose no public health and safety risk come on right so uh just keep fighting keep
00:12:09.580 coming please people come to the farm uh we're having ostrich fest 2025 i found out this weekend
00:12:16.080 so there's such a great new number of people we're going to do some face painting and a lot
00:12:20.340 of love and a lot of laughs let's bring the energy to the ostriches so there you go small win like
00:12:29.800 katie says in a in a big fight here's jeff rath he is uh with the alberta prosperity project hey
00:12:35.480 buddy how you doing i'm doing great how are you good thanks thanks for coming on again tonight
00:12:39.700 uh i'm not sure do you have any thoughts on this whole ostrich thing or i haven't really been
00:12:44.500 following it but it sounds like the same level of fuckery that we expect from those types of people 0.93
00:12:49.880 you know like jailing egg farmers you know all the rest of it we've got some of that shit going 0.98
00:12:54.300 on in alberta too i'll watch my language sorry long day but you know it's um but anyway yeah 0.99
00:13:01.160 no it's all the same ludicrous garbage that we were dealing with in covet too many bureaucrats
00:13:05.940 too little time you know yeah well i mean the big thing is that um cfia food inspection agency told 0.96
00:13:13.720 the farm that they can't have their animals independently tested for h5n1 the bird flu
00:13:19.980 it would be a 250 000 fine and possible time in jail so the only evidence to present in this
00:13:26.520 court case is theirs and nobody else's even though there are several reputable scientists who have
00:13:32.120 who have done testing on these animals and confirmed that they don't have these uh this
00:13:38.120 disease any longer it just you're right there's a great level of fuckery in all of this
00:13:43.040 oh it's just it's despicable i mean it's all the covid litigation i did you know they actually 0.99
00:13:48.160 they got in alberta they got a nobel laureate by the name of sir michael houghton to prostitute
00:13:54.360 his nobel laureate by swearing an affidavit in one of my cases where you know they're trying to
00:13:59.200 fire doctors that wouldn't get vaccinated and he swore an affidavit that said the pandemic would
00:14:04.340 never end until every single person in the world was vaccinated so that in effect because my
00:14:10.620 doctors were holding out from being vaccinated they were keeping the pandemic from ending 0.98
00:14:14.700 worldwide it was the most atrocious ridiculous piece of garbage affidavit that's ever been filed 0.98
00:14:20.600 but because this nobel laureate was the head of this thing called the lee kaching institute of 0.98
00:14:26.140 virology in edmonton i call it the lee kaching institute because they're just prostituting
00:14:31.500 themselves for buckets and buckets of government money right um you know that they actually thought
00:14:36.760 it was appropriate to file an affidavit that that was disgustingly false and patently misleading in
00:14:41.760 the context of a case that we were doing so i you know i see that i see that nonsense all the time
00:14:47.000 so how is it that they can file a completely and totally false affidavit that's what an affidavit
00:14:53.780 is supposed to be the truth is it not well no that's that's my point entirely and the law you
00:14:59.260 know and quite frankly i think the lawyers that put that affidavit together should have been
00:15:02.480 sanctioned right like it's just you know it's just ridiculous that you tender that you know i
00:15:07.260 i was cross-examining the guy it was pretty funny and i said and at least he had a good sense that
00:15:11.500 You know, he was in good humor about the fact that he was being, you know, that he was prostituting his intellect and his reputation on that affidavit.
00:15:18.680 And I said, like, you know, you know, Sir Michael, I said, like, when you say that everybody in the world has to be vaccinated before the COVID pandemic will end,
00:15:26.280 I said, aren't you just like a beauty contest contestant praying for world peace, right?
00:15:32.620 I said, how are we going to get everybody in war towards Somalia or Eritrea or wherever, wherever, get all of them vaccinated?
00:15:39.060 so instead of answering that question oh i have lots of relatives in south africa and they're 0.97
00:15:44.540 very pro vaccine well that's i mean that's not science i mean it's just ludicrous bullshit 0.76
00:15:49.580 but you know but it comes with the imprimatur of you know uh you know a nobel laureate attached 0.86
00:15:55.280 to his name you know like did you have to call him sir oh i can't remember what i called him
00:16:00.760 i probably called him a lot of other names in private okay i i i think you're in a good mood
00:16:07.420 so i'm i'm hey two two things two things big deal so the oilers beat las vegas last night that was
00:16:14.100 huge right so i was very happy about that but more importantly and more directly in line with
00:16:18.800 the conversation we're going to have tonight the alberta legislature passed bill 54 through third
00:16:24.940 reading last night so that is now now that is now law in alberta well it's not quite law yet it has
00:16:31.300 to be proclaimed yet but the minute it's proclaimed we'll be launching our petition
00:16:35.060 And that lowers the number of signatures we need for our referendum question to 177,000 signatures.
00:16:43.200 And as of today, we are now over 250,000 pledges for referendum signatures, petition signatures, which will literally, I think, enable us to get all the requisite number of verified signatures within 30 to 60 days of launching our petition drive.
00:17:06.980 That's interesting because that bill was only introduced a couple of weeks ago. That was fast, man.
00:17:10.980 Oh, yeah. No, no. It's, you know, conservative majority in Alberta. And, you know, I have to say, I mean, I've been saying some, you know, some not quite complimentary things about Danielle, you know, lately, because there's, you know, there is some shenanigans going on in the background that we're not very happy about. But with that one, 100% credit to her promise made because she promised to do that when she was running for the leadership of the UCP.
00:17:32.460 I was at an APP leadership debate that we hosted where she made that promise.
00:17:41.940 And all the credit to Danielle Smith.
00:17:43.620 She kept her promise.
00:17:44.920 She got the bill through.
00:17:46.600 And now we're ready to have a referendum this year in Alberta.
00:17:49.640 And we're excited about it.
00:17:50.940 Okay.
00:17:51.400 Let me play this for you.
00:17:53.220 And I'm not sure what your reaction is going to be, but I'm looking forward to it.
00:17:57.120 It's 60 seconds of Jan Arden.
00:18:00.380 Hey, Alberta. 1.00
00:18:01.740 Hey, a bunch of fucking separatist wackos. 1.00
00:18:05.500 How you doing? 1.00
00:18:06.220 Feeling good about yourselves? 1.00
00:18:07.840 You're an embarrassment to this country. 0.99
00:18:10.000 Everything you have, everything that you have enjoyed, cherished, and benefited from 0.99
00:18:16.360 comes from being part of one of the greatest countries on the planet. 0.99
00:18:21.400 You guys have your heads so far up your asses that you obviously can't see what pricks you are. 1.00
00:18:27.040 The way you are treating indigenous people, the way you are treating your fellow citizens, your fellow Canadians, you guys are a bunch of creepy little pricks. 1.00
00:18:39.920 Alberta will never separate from Canada. 0.99
00:18:42.620 It's never going to happen because people like me are going to stand up, throw their shoulders back and keep fucking yelling and keep standing up. 0.96
00:18:52.380 what I know is right and what you guys are doing is 0.98
00:18:56.420 look you know I mean what can I say I mean I really really love Jan Arden I think she's you
00:19:05.820 know a phenomenal talent she has a great voice she's a great singer if you ever go to one of
00:19:10.360 her shows she's a great comedian right but I think somebody needs to adjust her meds right
00:19:15.640 so you know I mean she's obviously I mean completely unhinged I actually found that
00:19:20.480 you know I'm not going to say anything mean about her I mean she's obviously got mental health
00:19:24.200 problems so we're not going to I'm not going to go there but you know for her to suggest just
00:19:29.080 carte blanche that you know that all of us are involved in you know somehow doing something to
00:19:34.680 harm the indigenous people of Alberta is one of the most disgusting and despicable things
00:19:39.040 that anybody could ever accuse me of or accuse us of like you know one of the reasons that I
00:19:45.020 actually founded APP was because I was a little bit I was I was not a little bit I was very
00:19:50.220 uncomfortable with some of the rhetoric coming out of the some of the old line um you know
00:19:55.220 independence parties in alberta right you know this idea that you know you got these guys like
00:20:00.120 yeah like we're gonna be separate we're not gonna have to respect the treaties anymore and we're not
00:20:05.480 gonna blah blah blah and everybody's gonna be equal and you know all of that stuff obviously
00:20:09.940 made me extremely uncomfortable made me very unhappy this time i you know i dismissed most
00:20:15.380 people involved in and around the independence movement in alberta you know frankly it's a
00:20:19.660 bunch of cranks right for that reason because it's you know and again in fairness to those people
00:20:23.700 obviously not well educated on the issue don't understand what is really going on and the fact
00:20:29.360 you know and the degree to which indigenous people in canada have suffered and have been
00:20:34.320 kept in abject poverty by you know a despicable colonial regime in ottawa that alberta wants to
00:20:41.400 free itself from right i've been suing the government of canada my entire career as a lawyer
00:20:46.980 um you know winning precedent you know setting cases at the supreme court of canada on behalf
00:20:51.580 of indigenous people in fact one of the cases that i won the mikisu creed decision at the
00:20:55.840 supreme court legal scholars have referred to as the greatest um treaty and aboriginal rights
00:21:02.220 victory in canada since the the case of saint catherine's millings in the uh in the 19th
00:21:08.840 century right so there's no way that i would ever involve myself in anything that would any
00:21:14.780 anyway disrespect the treaties or aboriginal rights of alberta's indigenous people or indigenous
00:21:21.100 people anywhere in this country i have devoted my life to lifting those people you know to helping
00:21:25.800 to lift those people out of poverty um you know and that's the poverty that's been imposed upon
00:21:30.540 them by ottawa's so-called jurisdiction over indian you know indians and indian lands you know to
00:21:36.660 quote the constitution act right um so you know for jan arden to gratuitously suggest that you
00:21:43.200 know that i'm associated with or any of the people that i'm involved with or a bunch of racists that
00:21:48.140 hate indigenous people is one of the lowest most despicable things that i can imagine but again i
00:21:53.460 just chalk it up to the fact that she's got obvious mental health issues and probably needs
00:21:57.040 to readjust her meds like i would suggest that she's speaking emotionally and um not off any sort
00:22:05.080 of knowledge of the situation let's go into this a little bit because we have seen some first
00:22:10.620 nations chiefs piping off the last week or so and you and i talked about this on the phone
00:22:15.120 um and and suggesting that danielle smith should get out of the province get off their land
00:22:20.800 what is ceded versus unceded lands how many treaties are there like what are with all these
00:22:28.400 that's but again but again that's not that's not the that's not the issue right so not with
00:22:33.680 not not just leave that alone for one second jack like i want to address this you know the
00:22:38.640 chiefs coming out and you know making the statements they made well if you look there
00:22:42.860 was a very chubby prominent brown face and you know in and at that press conference that of uh
00:22:48.340 you know that of naheed nenshi who was there you know for the ndp stirring up the pot and making
00:22:53.520 all of these outrageous statements with no legal foundation specifically that anything that alberta
00:22:59.020 is going to do by way of reorganizing the manner in which it's governed right is going to somehow
00:23:04.700 impact on the treaty and aboriginal rights of you know the indigenous nations of alberta
00:23:11.560 you know what i asked the chiefs and it's kind of like you know i'm kind of puzzled by you know the
00:23:16.300 fact that they're being so misled by you know you know by you know by the ndp and nechi and
00:23:21.660 left-wing lawyers and consultants that are around them like why do they want to keep sending 15
00:23:26.320 billion dollars a year to quebec as opposed to having that money remain in an independent alberta
00:23:31.980 where we can have a constitutionalized resource revenue sharing agreement with them that would
00:23:37.040 see their annual revenues triple or quadruple um you know to help lift their communities out of
00:23:42.380 poverty why do they want 15 billion dollars a year to go to quebec so quebec can run these
00:23:48.180 gold-plated apprenticeship programs which i understand include you know paying a salary
00:23:53.120 to people that are going to trade school paying a salary uh to people you know um you know uh
00:23:58.440 well they're apprenticing to supplement any income that they get from you know their uh employers 0.99
00:24:05.020 where they're apprenticing you know basically all of this money being spent to encourage quebecers
00:24:10.960 to um uh obtain post-secondary education in the trades right why the hell the chiefs want that
00:24:18.800 money going to quebec as opposed to having that money in alberta so that we can run you know that
00:24:23.940 that they could run the same types of programs for themselves um you know in alberta with money
00:24:31.160 that would be derived from a constitutionalized resource revenue sharing agreement you know i
00:24:35.540 wouldn't be i personally wouldn't be involved in this if i did not in my heart of hearts believe
00:24:40.940 that whatever deal is going to be reached following and keep in mind the clarity act
00:24:46.840 requires ongoing consultations and negotiations with first nations international law requires it
00:24:55.040 the people in and around myself keep in mind i have an honors degree in political science
00:24:59.920 i have an honors degree in law from the london school of economics dennis modry who i work with
00:25:05.100 you know it has you know medical degrees from the university of alberta and stanford
00:25:09.540 and um uh you know and founded the thoracic heart and lung transport plant program at the
00:25:16.340 university of alberta hospital uh you know we have um ceos of financial institutions you know
00:25:22.640 you name it you know working with us none of us are ill-educated people that disrespect the rights
00:25:28.800 of indigenous people and in fact alberta prosperity projects indigenous policy was developed in
00:25:34.920 consultation with um uh indigenous leaders in alberta and every one of them that's actually
00:25:41.840 looked at it considered it thought about it and said wow if this is what we get in an independent
00:25:47.960 Alberta we're going to be so much better off than living our hand-to-mouth existence under Canada I
00:25:54.420 mean I know you're in Manitoba so go up to northern Manitoba you know up on you know Lake Winnipeg and
00:25:59.980 visit some of the communities on the shore of Lake Winnipeg up north the level of poverty in those
00:26:05.220 communities is heartbreaking and Canada allows that to exist you still have communities in
00:26:10.960 manitoba that don't have safe drinking water that are still under boiled water advisories we have
00:26:16.400 them in alberta as well i mean you know i've been to these communities i've lived you know lived in
00:26:21.000 these communities i've worked in these communities i've been home to home in these communities and
00:26:25.580 i'll tell you you know at the end of a long day of going home you know house to house to explain
00:26:29.640 uh you know a settlement agreement to people or to you know to tell the community what's going on
00:26:34.380 in the context of the work we're doing some days i would go back to my hotel room and almost want
00:26:38.360 to break down in tears at the level of poverty and destitution that canada has put those communities
00:26:44.700 in and has kept them in for decades you know or you know for uh you know for well over 100 years
00:26:50.980 by disrespecting their treaty rights like perfect example treaty six treaty eight there's a clear
00:26:56.280 treaty right to post-secondary education not a government program you know it doesn't say oh
00:27:01.200 and we'll provide a government program you know for post-secondary education in the event that
00:27:05.820 we can find the money and we don't have too many applicants under treaty six and treaty eight there
00:27:10.260 is a clear unequivocal treaty right to post-secondary education i believe the language
00:27:15.000 of the commissioner's report is treaty eight you know your children shall be educated ever
00:27:19.120 increasing in knowledge so as to enable them to always earn a living i mean if that's not
00:27:23.140 post-secondary education i don't know what the hell is right so you know but instead what happens 0.90
00:27:28.340 is indigenous people go into you know whatever the hell they call indian affairs now and say 0.98
00:27:32.640 hey I'm you know I'm accepted I want to go to university this fall or I want to go to
00:27:35.980 SAIT or NAIT or you know welding school or whatever and here's my acceptance I need the
00:27:40.540 money and they oh gee we're sorry you're here too late there's not enough you know in the program
00:27:44.920 budget um you know better luck next year I mean since when does something you're entitled to as
00:27:50.420 a right you know get doled out you know as as a program dollar right and think about all the
00:27:56.920 liability that should accrue to Canada you know for all of the generations of indigenous people 0.94
00:28:02.200 that they've denied post-secondary education right it's despicable what they do and i'm telling you 1.00
00:28:08.020 this i mean i've been fighting i've been fighting with canada my entire career litigating with
00:28:12.700 canada my entire career their typical you know modus of operandi is to you know is to delay delay
00:28:17.840 delay delay you know until you know people are grateful when they finally come to the negotiating
00:28:22.700 table and offer pennies on the dollar and you know in exchange for a complete settlement and
00:28:27.700 And in some of the more abusive settlements in Alberta, you know, a full indemnity in favor of Canada in the event that any future members come along and want to sue Canada for the same thing.
00:28:37.440 You know, the First Nations that signed the agreement are then expected to pay Canada's legal costs if anybody else comes along to sue them because they didn't participate in the settlement or, you know, or whatever.
00:28:48.040 Right. Canada is despicable in its treatment of Indigenous people.
00:28:51.760 And, you know, and I tell Indigenous people in Alberta, I said, just remember, you know, Canada hates you way more than they hate us. 0.97
00:28:59.140 You know, they hate Indigenous people way more than they hate oil and gas guys.
00:29:02.900 They hate Indigenous people way more than they hate farmers.
00:29:05.500 You just have to look at the way they're treated.
00:29:07.800 So, you know, this whole notion that somehow or other that, you know, by, you know, Alberta, you're removing itself from this abusive relationship with Canada and, you know,
00:29:17.240 literally having you know keeping 70 billion dollars a year in tax money that's otherwise
00:29:21.800 going to the feds to be doled out between you know quebec ontario you know the maritimes whatever
00:29:27.240 whatever get filtered through that massive federal grotesque bureaucracy that trudeau created um you
00:29:33.220 know to get dribs and drabs of it back you know like you know canada takes 70 billion a year from
00:29:37.840 alberta they give us 30 billion back so where's that 40 billion going i guess part of it's going
00:29:42.820 They go to pay for Justin Trudeau's corrupt Chi Chi train, you know, between Toronto and Montreal, where he got his buddies, you know, from SNC Lavalin. 0.67
00:29:51.940 Remember SNC Lavalin, the company that was hiring hookers to close business contracts?
00:29:56.300 Well, you know, they're now, you know, they're now going to be running Justin's Chi Chi train project. 0.85
00:30:01.100 My only question is, where's Canada going to get the money to finish it when Alberta leaves and they don't have our money anymore?
00:30:06.640 They're never going to finish that, even if Alberta stays.
00:30:09.520 So you're obviously personally acquainted with many of the chiefs throughout Alberta.
00:30:15.520 And I have to come back to the question from the beginning, which is, you know, if they know that Canada treats them so badly and they're hated more than the oil and gas guys or even the farmers or whatever, then why do they stand with Canada when it comes to?
00:30:31.260 Well, they're not really standing with Canada.
00:30:33.420 They're standing with Naheed Nenshi, the chief dipper in Alberta, and I guess to the extent that they're saying that, oh, we don't want Alberta to leave Canada or whatever, they've been convinced by left-wing lawyers in and around them that somehow or other that this is going to be bad for them or that this is somehow going to result in the termination or extinguishment of their treaty rights.
00:30:58.140 under both domestic and international law that's a complete impossibility so they're being fed a
00:31:03.760 load of bullshit and you know we got and we have lawyers too that say oh this is going to disrupt 0.92
00:31:08.280 any claims that you have outstanding and you're not going to be able to sue canada anymore and 0.98
00:31:12.540 all this kind of stuff all of canada's liability to first nations remains canada's liability to
00:31:17.740 first nations whether alberta remains in canada or not right and then on top of it um you know
00:31:24.300 First Nations are certainly not going to be told that they have to you know if they want to continue
00:31:28.720 to have their Indigenous reserve lands administered by a bunch of incompetent bureaucrats in Ottawa
00:31:36.320 and Edmonton and wherever else and be told you know how when where and why they can do anything
00:31:41.400 on their own land you know and have to you know go through all the hoops and hurdles to develop
00:31:48.320 their own lands and all the rest of it you know with the involvement of federal bureaucrats most 0.96
00:31:52.820 of whom don't know their ass from a hole in the ground right um then i mean they're free to do
00:31:57.840 that i mean they can be little federal enclaves all over alberta and not have a resource revenue 0.98
00:32:02.920 sharing agreement and they can continue to sue ottawa for you know to their heart's content
00:32:06.900 um you know whatever but i mean the laws that exist continues to apply i mean i've i've obviously
00:32:12.860 been um a big part of all of the multi-billion dollar wealth that's been generated you know by
00:32:19.280 to first nations um you know as a result of all of the consultation cases that i pioneered and won
00:32:26.040 i mean i think it was i was one of the first lawyer in canada to pioneer the use of judicial
00:32:32.000 review applications to advance first nations consultation rights which have basically ensured
00:32:38.120 that first nations across the country are now respected by industry or partnering with industry
00:32:43.240 have all the economic growth and wealth that they have that's all as a result of all of the early 0.90
00:32:48.120 cases that you know that i was you know that i was arguing i mean shit at one point we were 0.67
00:32:52.140 shutting down a big 3d seismic pipeline uh this is a funny story i gotta tell you this one so um
00:32:57.720 in northeastern bc it was called remington inga 3d and we had a really really uh hard-working
00:33:03.900 industrious um uh duny's uh trapper um who had a very you know successful trap line you know on
00:33:11.700 you know on this traditional territory and they want to lay overlay a 3d seismic program over
00:33:18.000 it so anyway i said look you guys um you know my client's really upset because if you know in 3d
00:33:24.240 seismic it's really intense that the lines are really close together whatever whatever right
00:33:27.780 and i said uh um you know you're going to disrupt all of his trapping on his trap line for at least
00:33:32.460 three years you know you're going to scare all the animals away he's not going to have income
00:33:35.660 for three years so you know he doesn't want to bend you guys over a barrel he just wants a job
00:33:40.400 like he can run a power saw he can do whatever whatever just put him on payroll for three years
00:33:44.860 until you know his you know his trap line you know come restores itself and we're all good 1.00
00:33:50.140 and they're you know basically f you we don't hire indians they you know first paycheck they 1.00
00:33:56.060 get oh no this was like 30 years ago right you know they first paycheck you know they get drunk 1.00
00:34:00.440 and disappear and blah blah blah why would we do that blah blah blah and of course keep in mind
00:34:04.580 this is i mean i love this guy he was salt of the earth hard-working industrious didn't drink i mean
00:34:09.100 lived on the land you know just a great guy right and you know basically being told that they don't
00:34:14.140 want to hire him because all Indians are drunks and you know whatever whatever so I said look if
00:34:17.840 you're not going to be reasonable I said you're not going to leave us an alternative but we're 1.00
00:34:21.020 going to have to go to court and get an injunction and shut you down oh well we'd like to see you
00:34:25.300 try so anyway we went to court we got an injunction we shut them down and it so shattered the stock
00:34:30.240 price of this company that they were later gobbled up by a larger competitor and ceased to exist as
00:34:35.220 a country or as a company you know because they wouldn't respect a treaty and universal rights
00:34:39.900 and I got to tell you another funny story in and around that too at the same time and this is how
00:34:43.820 wild the wild west was 30 years ago right um these guys had six um oil field scouts on so anybody
00:34:49.940 that's been in around the oil field knows what an oil field scout is they're basically you know
00:34:53.480 dirty thugs you know private investigators that are hired by oil companies to make mischief on
00:34:58.720 behalf of the companies when people are stirring up trouble for them right so they had these oil
00:35:02.920 field scouts um parked outside my ranch uh on the highway looking into my living room one day with
00:35:09.400 binoculars so this is a long time ago i wasn't married yet and because i was a bachelor i still
00:35:13.520 have my rifle cabinet in my uh in my uh living room as one would and uh i had a buddy that had
00:35:19.500 come up to hunt with me that fall and he was ex-military ex-american army captain you know
00:35:24.420 one of my best friends and uh i said mr gernstein i said apparently somebody's looking into my
00:35:31.060 living room with a pair of binoculars would you please go to the rifle cabinet remove my 338
00:35:36.360 winchester magnum from the cabinet strip the bolt out of the weapon rendering it inoperative as a
00:35:41.380 firearm right away mr wrath hands me my hands me my 338 i take a wrap on the sling and i slowly
00:35:49.340 lower a nine power scope on the face of the guy that's got his binoculars looking into my living
00:35:53.860 room right you've never seen a pair of binoculars go down so fast that a car moves so quickly so i
00:35:59.340 turned back to my turned back to my army buddy and i said well how about that mr gernstein
00:36:03.940 sometimes when you look into a man's living room you might just see something you don't want to see
00:36:09.720 wow what are those guys still around like what are they called oil rangers like no no no they're
00:36:16.640 called oil field scouts or at least they were scouts yeah yeah there's a years ago there's a
00:36:20.780 big article about them in the in the uh um you know in the albert then the albert report but
00:36:26.480 yeah they specialized in union busting and mischief making and threatening people that 0.74
00:36:30.580 tried to organize and you know they're kind of like you know they're kind of like the pinkerton 0.87
00:36:34.280 you know yeah yeah yeah it was that kind of thing right holy crap man that's you know to this day i
00:36:40.620 still don't i still have no idea what they thought they were going to see in my living room but it
00:36:44.060 was you know it's just a form of intimidation right i mean it's just like all the death threats
00:36:48.220 that i've been getting in my office over all the albert independence stuff we're working on right
00:36:51.800 people think that i'm easily intimidated i'm not very so it's kind of just kind of have you
00:36:56.680 have you tracked down any of those death threats are they all coming no they're all they're all 0.98
00:37:01.260 they're all and some of them were stupid enough to send them from their own personal emails so 0.93
00:37:05.000 anyway we we gave a stack about that bit to the rcfp and i guess they're currently being kind of 0.98
00:37:11.640 ironically the royal canadian mountain police but anyway soon to be the alberta provincial police
00:37:16.080 force but anyway anyway um you know and you know it's being dealt with i mean it's uh uh you know
00:37:23.700 it's it's pretty disgusting and despicable i mean the left wing you know the left wing's losing
00:37:27.560 their minds because a lot of them you know and that's jan ardent too i mean let's you know
00:37:30.980 remember that she made her career you know um you know and got well fed you know well fed you know
00:37:36.240 like a tick on a moose um you know taking money out of the cbc see you know the canadian content
00:37:42.200 rules you know the whole juno you know that whole juno system canadian grant system whatever
00:37:47.940 so yeah i'm sure i'm sure she doesn't like the idea of alberta leaving canada i mean she's
00:37:53.380 basically been on the federal payroll her entire music career so you know i mean good for you know
00:37:58.240 good for her i mean she owes you know she's showing some loyalty to the people that bought
00:38:02.240 her various houses for her and you know keep her in royalty checks you know um you know but i mean
00:38:07.320 there's no reason for her to indulge in that kind of name calling and language and whatever i mean
00:38:11.780 you know we love maybe being paid or something i mean yeah who knows i mean we love jan arden we
00:38:17.540 just don't understand why she's being so rude and mean to us but anyway she'll i'm who knows maybe
00:38:21.780 she'll get over it i don't know so i had uh keith wilson on last week our buddy keith and uh he was
00:38:27.900 telling me there are 13 distinct uh sovereignist groups in alberta and a couple of them merged i
00:38:35.020 think maybe last week but uh i said is there any chance of uh all of these groups getting together
00:38:40.580 under one flag so that we get one petition because i know i know that you wrote the uh or a possible
00:38:47.620 petition question with keith i think right yeah yeah absolutely yeah um but is it possible these
00:38:53.920 other groups decide well we're going to write a petition question too and they're not going to
00:38:58.480 need to and quite frankly like amongst the independence movement right they all understand
00:39:03.700 that the alberta prosperity project is leading the charge on the referendum right we're the
00:39:08.280 ones that have been gathering all the signatures we're the ones that have the the list of you know
00:39:12.460 200 now 250 000 verified names and you know and pledges to to sign you know we've through our
00:39:18.840 website we now have and god it's been crazy since carney was elected um 20 000 new volunteers that
00:39:25.940 we're trying to onboard right now like just imagine how chaotic our lives are right so
00:39:30.700 oh yeah i was like i was at an event uh in pinocca earlier this week and all these i volunteered
00:39:36.420 when's somebody gonna get back to me it's like dude can you just chill like we're trying to
00:39:41.640 deal with it there's 20 000 of you but i said you know here we are we're at an app event so
00:39:46.120 there's your chapter leader there's your regional director you know just go talk to him directly
00:39:50.580 glad you came thank you you know but they're really exercised over the fact that you know
00:39:54.640 we need to volunteer now we need to do something now what can we do right so we know it's awesome
00:39:59.480 right it's awesome we were talking earlier this week about how busy you've been and that's why
00:40:03.600 you were at pinocca the other night you couldn't come on on tuesday night so i'm glad you're here
00:40:07.280 tonight uh how busy are you going to be and exactly i mean are you going to visit or try to
00:40:14.560 every single community in alberta i'm probably i'm probably going to try to limit it you know
00:40:20.240 to like one you know one app speaking event a week and uh you know i'll do you know i'll do
00:40:26.700 all the bigger ones like all the biggest ones uh for sure i mean i love my i love my albertans but
00:40:31.680 i mean at the same time i still have to work and earn a living and i've got a couple big covet
00:40:35.620 class action cases that were taken forward against the government of alberta that need to be serviced
00:40:40.000 and um you know i'm you know i'm actually considering a really interesting case right
00:40:44.320 now about suing the government of canada for or various bureaucrats in the government of canada
00:40:48.820 for misfeasance in public office over all of their continued utterances about um uh greenhouse gases
00:40:55.940 being a existential threat to canada and the world right because all the scientific evidence is
00:41:02.120 actually the opposite of course we all know co2 is good for plants and um the more you know like
00:41:07.060 we're actually way below the level we should be for co2 in our atmosphere right now we're almost
00:41:11.840 on the point of plant starvation or browning of the earth and now that we see that the co2 levels
00:41:17.860 are slowly rising back up to where you know um you know above critical levels that you know like
00:41:23.600 the you know deserts in china and india are regenerating um i can show you that's the charts
00:41:29.740 and pictures from alberta that would blow you away that literally show this huge dip in crop
00:41:35.200 outputs and um productivity and plant growth in alberta that coincided with the massive covid
00:41:41.080 lockdown that got all the you know all the uh all the greedy so excited about the fact that
00:41:45.960 oh isn't this wonderful this is what life will look like on earth once we get rid of all those
00:41:49.760 awful people right you know you know so i mean i'm very interested in that i've got lots of other
00:41:54.140 interests right but this is you know this is you know this is something you know that i that i'm
00:41:58.300 given my heart and soul to and i'm committed you know to staying you know you know at the helm and
00:42:03.380 and continuing to move this thing forward with our leadership team until we succeed in getting
00:42:08.440 you know alberta out of canada right and if anybody knows me or if anybody's ever looked
00:42:12.720 at my legal career um you know it'll show you that if i'm nothing else if not so completely
00:42:18.920 stubborn and i never determined yeah and i never lose because i never quit right so anyway we're
00:42:26.480 going to keep going until we're done and we're hoping that we're going to have a vote in november
00:42:30.280 of this year and vote um uh you know alberta out of canada i mean we're getting some pushback on
00:42:36.380 that there's other groups that oh no that's too fast and you're gonna ruin it we only have one
00:42:40.800 chance and whatever whatever but you know there's something to be said there's something to be said
00:42:44.440 for momentum um you know we're you know the referendum i'm you know i'm convinced danielle
00:42:49.800 smith is messing around with it in the background like she wants to not have a single standalone 1.00
00:42:54.080 question she wants to add a bunch of other referenda questions to the ballot including
00:43:00.200 should there be an Alberta pension plan do you support Alberta policing taking over the RCMP
00:43:04.580 and all these other things that kind of confuse the issue because ultimately if you answer our
00:43:09.400 question right do you agree that Alberta shall cease to or shall become an independent or
00:43:17.720 sovereign country and cease to be a province of Canada all of those other things have to follow
00:43:22.960 that surely as night follows day right so you know to try to confuse the issue and confuse the
00:43:28.280 people of alberta with you know all these competing referenda questions which seems to be the strategy
00:43:33.800 coming out of daniel smith's office well no wait a minute just you know when if you ask all of
00:43:40.500 these different questions on the same ballot same day right so your question which i thought was
00:43:45.520 clear uh wouldn't that confuse the issue and that's the whole point they're trying to confuse 1.00
00:43:50.700 the issue you know because like danielle smith still hasn't got it through her head that she
00:43:54.920 needs to be on team alberta and not team canada so you know and i i actually i've been joking
00:43:59.820 about it when i did some of my public speaking engagements you know pushes so hard in with the
00:44:05.260 federal media jeff i'm sorry to interrupt you but like she does and and she's being vilified by
00:44:09.860 the left-wing corporate media you know from uh toronto from ottawa and also obviously from
00:44:16.140 alberta right so she goes far enough to get that vilification but not far enough to have anybody
00:44:22.480 who truly believes in no she's literally making the same mistake that led to jason kenny being
00:44:28.660 turfed out of office right so with kenny issuing all those phony cmoh orders that we had overturned
00:44:34.580 in alberta that i succeeded at having overturned in alberta um what kenny was trying to do was he
00:44:40.140 was picking the option that was always sort of in the middle so he didn't want to pick an option
00:44:44.000 that was presented to him that would see no restrictions right and he didn't want to go
00:44:48.640 you know with the you know let's say the you know the maximum you know uh lockdown you know options
00:44:54.100 that were also presented to him he was picking the option in the middle that was most likely to
00:44:59.160 equally piss off everybody on both sides of the issue it's a very rare political trick to be able
00:45:05.180 to pull that off but jason kenny did and it resulted in him being turfed out of office on his
00:45:10.360 asked right and what my concern is because i like daniel smith i think she's been you know she's been
00:45:15.100 an effective leader she's very personable um i like her on a personal level um you know etc etc
00:45:20.740 but i think the people that are advising her who incidentally are the same bozos that were advising
00:45:25.400 jason kenny right right um with you know the exception of one or two but like 12 of her cabinet
00:45:30.080 ministers are former kenny cabinet ministers right so the bozos that were in and around jason kenny
00:45:35.140 are basically telling her to do the same thing it's like okay well you promise that you're going
00:45:39.660 to have this reduction of the citizens initiative act number right so which she did so promise made
00:45:44.920 promise kept well at least that showed some integrity but then everybody else is now saying
00:45:49.140 okay but you know you can't support this and you've got to you know hold the line on team canada and 0.61
00:45:55.120 that's why we have this ridiculous you know i was laughing about it the other day like you're old
00:45:58.460 enough to remember that tv show the courtship of eddie's father so i now call this the you know
00:46:02.920 the courtship of danielle smith where you know mark hardy's expected to come to alberta with a
00:46:08.740 box of chocolates you know um in the form of pipeline corridors and you know things that we
00:46:14.080 need you know and end to the no pipeline bill and end to emission caps and end all the things on
00:46:18.880 daniel's list that's the box of chocolates she wants but we heard carney the other day and he
00:46:23.960 said well you know maybe one pipeline a pipeline but only after you know i develop a national
00:46:30.700 consensus around the issue and we've already heard that quebec has said national consensus
00:46:35.260 We'll no sooner sign on to a new pipeline than we'll agree to signing the 82 Constitution.
00:46:42.700 And then we heard the gibbering Gibault popped up out of his little gopher hole the day after Carney made his pipeline announcement that, you know, media were all excited about thinking he actually said that Alberta could have a pipeline.
00:46:52.680 And then Gibault, oh, we don't need any more Alberta pipelines.
00:46:55.740 The key events is only 24 percent full and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:47:00.580 Which interestingly was a lie because it is.
00:47:03.560 No, it was a lie. 0.99
00:47:04.600 Well, Jibo is a liar. 0.98
00:47:05.540 Like, how do you tell a liberal's lying? 0.99
00:47:06.840 Their lips are moving, right?
00:47:07.760 It's pretty simple, right?
00:47:08.820 It's 80% that pipeline is at capacity-wise,
00:47:11.900 and the CBC didn't bother fact-checking any of that stuff
00:47:14.860 before they ran that clip, you know, so...
00:47:17.080 No, and apparently if you talk to people
00:47:18.720 that know pipeline management,
00:47:20.000 you can't get a pipeline much more full than that
00:47:22.420 because then from a management perspective,
00:47:24.940 you know, scheduling out, scheduling in,
00:47:27.540 all kinds of other problems,
00:47:28.960 you know, creates all kinds of other problems.
00:47:30.220 So it's basically running at capacity
00:47:31.960 because you don't want it you don't want it at 100 because it's not going to operate that right
00:47:36.400 well you've got different types of oil you're pumping through there and and if i recall i mean
00:47:41.420 they're also moving condensate because they're moving heavy oil so they've got oil going one
00:47:45.460 way condensate going the other you know whatever um yeah it's a complicated process they generally
00:47:50.640 don't run those pipelines at more than you know than more than 80 so you know what we're saying
00:47:55.680 is get albert out of canada right we have a strong economic message and i want to share this message
00:48:00.020 with your viewers for those people that are thinking of starting an mpp a manitoba prosperity
00:48:05.040 project right well you know what we've got viewers all over the country and all over the world man so
00:48:10.160 but i you know i just want to speak to your home base right so what we are you know what we are
00:48:15.520 saying that alberta is going to get from independence right is a complete cessation of
00:48:20.460 all federal regulation done no more federal laws no more federal regulations no more true you know
00:48:26.040 like the liberal waking up in the middle of the night and coming up with a new
00:48:29.180 list of rifles that should be outlawed. I mean,
00:48:32.000 Carney the other day was talking about, Oh, all long range,
00:48:35.500 super accurate rifles, you know, need to be banned.
00:48:38.240 Well, that's basically every fricking hunting rifle that's made. Right.
00:48:41.700 So what he wants us all to go back to hunting with black powered powder,
00:48:45.240 smooth bore muskets, because it'll, you know, 0.94
00:48:48.120 it'll scare his masters in China less. Right. So, you know, 0.86
00:48:52.100 so there's that, right. So no more federal regulations, right.
00:48:55.020 no more obviously greenhouse gas regulations no more carbon tax so you know daniel oh i did such
00:49:00.560 a good job i negotiated the carbon tax down to a hundred dollars a ton well so a lot of a lot of
00:49:05.900 the alberto oil patch that has the flare gas doesn't know is barely profitable at a hundred
00:49:10.880 dollars a ton as it is so all of those companies are going to be freed of that burden and are
00:49:15.500 freed to produce as much oil and gas as they can um you know as you probably know we've already
00:49:21.080 had a preliminary um uh meeting with uh very at a very senior level with the trump administration
00:49:27.580 right so you know at least another four or five pipelines south through montana are on the table
00:49:32.120 um you know complete free trade on the basis of zero tariffs on both sides of the alberta u.s
00:49:37.460 border on all goods and services um you know is on the is on the table um uh you know etc etc
00:49:44.380 so i mean we see nothing but upside and then on top of it oh let me remind everybody you get rid
00:49:49.520 with the federal government what are you really getting rid of all federal taxation no income tax
00:49:55.340 no carbon tax no gst no federal corporate tax no federal luxury tax no excise tax on fuel
00:50:02.320 no capital gains tax i mean on and on and on and don't forget that these liberals and you got you
00:50:07.100 got lamedi the guy that wanted to run over protesters with leopard tags right you know
00:50:11.500 true communist right um uh you know has said that canadians have no right to property and he's one
00:50:17.860 of the proponents of the home equity tax so that every year as your property value goes up you have
00:50:23.520 to get your house appraised so that they can they can tax you on the increased value of your home
00:50:30.060 equity i mean there won't be any of that bullshit going on in alberta when we're no longer no longer 0.82
00:50:35.540 part of you know the you know the subject of the liberal tyranny you know the liberal marxist uh 0.94
00:50:40.980 communist tyranny from ottawa that they want to impose on people you know and i mean let's face 0.78
00:50:45.620 it i mean you know most canadians like where did you know planning for retirement where's their
00:50:50.100 largest store of value it's in their homes they you know they've done the right thing they paid
00:50:54.300 off their mortgage you know on and on and on you know that's what they're planning on retiring on
00:50:58.600 but the liberals want to tax it so i mean get albert out of uh and that's why we say too why
00:51:03.240 canada and the liberals are an existential threat to albertans they want to kill us they want to
00:51:07.660 literally tax us into oblivion so none of that's going to happen anymore in a free a free and
00:51:12.780 independent alberta we could have a flat uh 10 income tax we have a flat 10 corporate tax
00:51:18.100 you know maybe one or two consumption taxes who knows right um but whatever it takes to you know
00:51:23.700 to balance the budget and cover off you know whatever all the requirements are i mean alberta's
00:51:27.880 gonna have to have an army it's gonna have to have an air force we obviously don't need a navy and
00:51:31.700 coast guard um you know we're gonna use you know we're gonna need border patrol right um you know
00:51:37.060 and so on there's certain things that we're gonna have to have we're gonna have to have a very strong
00:51:39.940 immigration system um you know because we're you know we're you know there there is going to have
00:51:44.540 to be you know some mind paid to the huge influx of people from all over north america that are
00:51:50.700 going to want to come to alberta because we're going to be like you know you know like literally 1.00
00:51:54.740 an economic shangri-la right yeah so you know so we're going to have to deal with that from a
00:51:59.140 sustainability perspective like let's not forget that trudeau has so flooded calgary and edmonton 0.89
00:52:04.640 with immigrants and refugees under the liberal two and a half million immigrant a year program
00:52:09.760 that you know winter before alaska we had a mild winter this winter we were literally on the verge 1.00
00:52:14.920 of having the entire alberta power grid crash because um uh you know obviously the infrastructure
00:52:21.040 hadn't kept up with the level by which trudeau was throwing people at us right um you know
00:52:26.260 obviously people that have lived in and around calgary like we're on water restrictions we have
00:52:29.640 water shortages we've got all these problems that you know infrastructure problems that we're trying
00:52:34.160 to deal with so there has to be you know some sort of you know sustainable um uh immigration
00:52:40.860 system put in place and controls on immigration and then otherwise i mean you know alberta has
00:52:46.280 a bloated bureaucracy as well so we're going to have a new constitution right we're going to have
00:52:50.200 a bicameral legislature we're going to have a legislative you know legislature based on
00:52:54.040 population and then we're going to have a senate based on provincial regions so the cities can't
00:52:58.520 completely screw over you know farm folk and tell us how we need to live our lives because that's
00:53:03.600 not going to fly very far right it sounds like the american system a little yeah yeah but you
00:53:08.060 know in the microcosm of alberta right and then we'll have an elected executive um you know either
00:53:13.580 a president or a prime minister depending on whether albertans want to retain their relationship
00:53:18.080 with the monarchy i have no strong feelings either way um you know um you know do we have a governor
00:53:23.320 general or is the president of alberta or the prime minister of alberta both the head of state
00:53:27.160 or chief you know head chief executive right and then we want to incorporate some elements of the
00:53:31.760 swiss system into alberta because albertans and those of us that are involved in our movement are
00:53:37.460 sick and tired of electing politicians that we think are good people only to find when they get
00:53:44.080 into autocrat you know into office they turn into these autocrats that basically think that they're
00:53:48.960 the boss of us and that they're governing us rather than the other way around right so you
00:53:55.100 know we want to avoid that so we're thinking you know we're not thinking we're going to be putting
00:53:58.480 in provisions for you know for recall of every legislator and executive um you know on 50 000
00:54:04.420 signatures so the bar is going to be really low to make these buggers behave themselves right yeah
00:54:10.120 and you know if they penalties for you know any kind of uh bad behavior you know politician breaks
00:54:16.920 the law they don't get away with it they're not even breaking a lot you know you're elected by
00:54:21.340 your constituents so you better be really close to your constituents and find out what they want 1.00
00:54:25.540 and don't vote in favor of stupid shit that drives your constituencies you know constituents crazy 1.00
00:54:30.640 like telling them how many friends they can have or locking them in their houses or trying to take 1.00
00:54:35.340 away their firearms right like you know like messing with their property like you know letting
00:54:40.040 you know farm inspectors come onto their property without a warrant you know like you know just
00:54:44.720 basic things like that like we you know like one of the things about albertans is you know we don't
00:54:49.140 want a lot of life right we want to be able to work hard we want to raise money for our families
00:54:53.740 and take care of our you know our moms and dads and our kids right um you know we want to be able
00:54:59.020 to earn a good living we don't want to be excessively tasked to the point where we're
00:55:02.780 completely disincentivized from working right and we expect government to stay the living hell out
00:55:08.620 of our lives right by and large like talk to people in our movement nobody cares who sleeps
00:55:13.600 with who nobody cares what anybody's sexual preferences are or any of that foolishness
00:55:17.640 right i don't talk about my sex life you don't talk about your sex life that's how we like it 0.60
00:55:21.640 right sure you know i don't need i don't need to wear a badge for claiming my sexuality right like 0.98
00:55:26.740 it's just all about ludicrous shit it's going to be over right and you know and it makes sense and 0.96
00:55:32.040 by and large i mean there is you know until trudeau came along and all this divisive you know um 0.99
00:55:37.140 politics of division identity politics garbage started everybody in this country got along
00:55:43.140 nobody cared about who married whom you know all of us you know basically had the same goal for our
00:55:48.980 government we want to give them to keep the debt and deficit low so that um you know servicing the
00:55:54.140 debt and interest on our debt didn't gobble up half of the federal budget so that you know or
00:55:58.840 provincial budget such that you know we had to be taxed at an excessively high rate so you know we
00:56:03.520 want low debt we want low deficit we want government that minds its own business and
00:56:07.560 stays out of our lives and we just want to be left alone to get along with one another that's
00:56:11.540 all we want so you've you've outlined what you feel a great alberta and effective alberta
00:56:17.460 government would be in an independent sovereign nation but let's let's back up a little bit
00:56:22.440 getting there first right so let's just say that there is a referendum this year and it's separate
00:56:28.440 it's not part of all of these other questions that uh smith wants to include on this ballot so
00:56:33.620 let's say we do it at the end of november and let's just say hey man it passes wow cool 55
00:56:39.340 percent of albertans want to separate and be a sovereign nation then negotiations begin with
00:56:45.800 the government of canada who do you feel would be doing those negotiations on behalf of alberta
00:56:51.700 would it be the danielle smith government representatives from her government or would
00:56:55.620 that's a big tbd you know like are they you know like we'll see where we end up when i ask that 1.00
00:57:02.580 the reason i ask that is because you know danielle smith technically has been elected to be the
00:57:07.280 premier of alberta within canada right so no no that's why that's why i say that's a big to be
00:57:12.120 determined you know right i mean you know um you know i think you know that's that's one of the
00:57:17.460 issues that we're all wrestling with i mean do we trust danielle to negotiate you know on behalf of
00:57:21.900 alberta given that she can't seem to decide whether she's on team alberta or team canada
00:57:26.180 you know i mean that's a you know that's a very good question that being said though um you know
00:57:30.800 in all likelihood if there's a successful referendum in alberta um you know u.s recognition
00:57:35.980 of alberta sovereignty is going to quickly follow right and um you know and we're going to have to
00:57:41.180 have a constitutional convention and but you know but i hear you shout out because i mean there is
00:57:45.300 that's why we're sort of getting the pushback and we've got all this sort of strategic maneuvering
00:57:50.000 by members of the present government and elsewhere right they don't want the westminster system of
00:57:56.100 government to end all of the political parties are currently organized around that they like when
00:58:01.500 they get a majority government that they you know like danielle she can go from being a libertarian
00:58:05.660 princess to the dark queen of alberta and have you know complete dictatorial power to do whatever
00:58:11.100 the hell she wants to do when she wants to do it right yeah i mean they love that power it's like
00:58:15.580 you know hook me up you know like they're addicted to it so you know so you know we got you know we
00:58:23.160 have you know we're you know we're having to deal with and i have to tell you they don't like our
00:58:27.860 movement right because our movement largely came out of the freedom convoy and we're which we're
00:58:32.760 proud of right and you know we're people that are pissed off with any and you know with any and all
00:58:39.020 over government regulation and government sticking their noses in their lives and ruining our lives
00:58:44.000 so you know we we don't want bureaucrats telling us what to do we want the people to be able to
00:58:49.020 tell bureaucrats what to do we want legislation you know that changes the administrative law rules
00:58:54.400 and forces the courts to look at anything a bureaucrat says with the appropriate level of
00:58:59.980 skepticism um you know as opposed to taking judicial notice that a bureaucrat said that
00:59:04.780 this is true therefore they are an expert therefore i must listen to the bureaucrat sorry citizen
00:59:10.100 get out of my courtroom you know two cases from the supreme court which are called vavlov and
00:59:14.700 dore right which i believe need to be legislated out of existence in a free and democratic society
00:59:20.580 because it basically means that if a citizen has a beef with a bureaucrat you know like good luck
00:59:25.780 winning i mean i practiced admin law my entire career right so you know those cases need to be
00:59:30.640 legislated out of existence and there needs to be balance restored between the citizen and the
00:59:35.500 bureaucrat you know now you know they're not public service anymore servants anymore they're
00:59:39.720 public masters like i'll tell you a funny story and it's because you know all that world economic
00:59:44.080 forum 15 minute city crap that drives us all crazy right so i went into town the other morning
00:59:49.980 to give another uh presentation to a group of very high-powered you know calgary business people 0.55
00:59:55.140 i was probably talking to about four billion dollars in that room billion with a b okay
00:59:59.500 fund managers you know we're talking some very high power people right so you know give my
01:00:04.800 presentation i'm driving back to the ranch and there's only one traffic light on highway 22
01:00:09.940 between you know what's on the highway between downtown and the ranch and of course it's all
01:00:13.920 festooned with all these giant um cameras like license plate readers right and i look up and i
01:00:20.660 see the police have a car pulled over it's okay 70 kilometer an hour zone well i look down yeah i'm
01:00:24.760 170 because like you know it could be you know like just a you know a fission hole but then i'm
01:00:29.760 driving along at 70 and all of a sudden this car zooms up behind me with its lights on son of a 0.96
01:00:34.260 bitch he's pulling me over so this young really fresh-faced constable walks up to my you know 0.99
01:00:38.920 walks up to my car window and i said what can i do for you this morning he said oh he said we've 0.99
01:00:43.660 got a a registration enforcement program going on so basically what they're doing is they're
01:00:48.180 reading our license plates off of the um you know off of the license plate readers to see
01:00:53.120 instantaneously through the computer who's forgotten to register their vehicle so you know
01:00:58.080 i've got a bunch of farm trucks and whatever and i hadn't checked the registration on that truck in
01:01:01.520 a while so it was out of date and i had you know my hat was insured i have my license whatever so
01:01:06.000 no big deal right and i thought isn't that interesting because it's exactly what i thought 0.95
01:01:10.160 about those damn lights they're going to be able to monitor us going back and forth to town and 0.96
01:01:14.580 then soon some world economic forum bureaucrat paid by carney is going to tell me how many times 0.99
01:01:19.360 I can go to town for groceries how many times I can go back and forth how many kilometers I'm
01:01:23.720 driving you know all that kind of stuff so that they can you know that they can add a new level 0.96
01:01:27.840 of misery to my life with all of their intrusive cameras and bullshit right so this is this is now
01:01:33.840 the modern Alberta that we're that people like me are really upset about right but the funny part 0.94
01:01:38.520 of the story and this is like the happy ending to the story so this young constable says well
01:01:44.840 you seem like you're in a really good meet this morning like I'm giving you a ticket and I said
01:01:48.440 well i just came from a really awesome meeting downtown and i was talking to a bunch of my
01:01:52.660 fellow calgary you know fellow albertans about alberta independence and most of them are you
01:01:57.720 know that i was talking to are very supportive of what i'm doing so you know it was it was a
01:02:01.360 very pleasant meeting i'm in a really good mood he's oh he said we and now he's talking about all
01:02:06.100 the police right and he goes we've really been looking at that stuff it's really exciting and i
01:02:12.080 said yeah i said i imagine it would be for you because i said we've actually been running some
01:02:15.900 uh you know some model um pay stubs what your pay stub will look like after independence as opposed
01:02:21.860 to you know whatever once we get rid of federal income tax all of a sudden you're gonna get like
01:02:26.400 a twenty thousand dollar a year pay raise i know we're all excited about it yeah yeah yeah right
01:02:34.200 and you know whatever so i mean that's i mean it's really really interesting people are figuring it
01:02:38.740 out i mean that message as much as the mainstream media you know is still trying to portray us as 0.96
01:02:43.500 a bunch of you know backwoods yokels that don't know our ass from a hole in the ground and you 0.91
01:02:47.900 know we're never going to do it because we're not organized enough well you know now we've proven 0.98
01:02:51.840 to them that we're relatively well educated we're not backwoods yokels you know we can organize
01:02:56.460 right yeah so now all the new attacks are starting right so like i read like you know
01:03:00.940 the politician that everybody in alberta loves to hate like i'll send you this bit shoot thing
01:03:05.840 later so you can see a speech that i gave on monday uh where and i just mentioned jason kenny
01:03:10.760 to a thousand calgarians and everybody starts booing oh kenny go home leave alberta boo right
01:03:17.560 and people are people are still that angry at jason kenny right so jason kenny and nancy southern
01:03:22.360 you know pop their little heads up to you know to give their latest little diatribe about
01:03:26.660 um uh you know defending canada and keeping alberta in canada and blah blah blah blah blah
01:03:32.740 right and you know what everybody forgets is that atco is basically a company that runs on
01:03:39.620 government patronage and government you know government money i mean atco was actually
01:03:44.100 convicted of um you know a bunch of over billing i think that's the best most polite way to put it
01:03:49.740 uh over billing of alberta electrical uh uh service uh customers um and were subject to a
01:03:57.780 massive fine like i'm not going to say the amount because if i'm wrong i don't want anybody to sue
01:04:01.840 me over it but it was a massive amount of the millions and millions of dollars and of course
01:04:05.680 who was premier jason kenny right who didn't you know insist that atco also repay all of the
01:04:13.820 customers that they ripped off and give them all their money back right who didn't insist that
01:04:19.020 happen jason kenny who's now on the board of atco jason kenny so you know that's you know that's
01:04:25.820 albert that's alberta business 101 you know under you know under the you know under the ucp from
01:04:31.220 time to time and why it is that so many of us want to see a change in the way in which we're
01:04:36.740 governed and the accountability of these people that we elect to high office in this province
01:04:42.460 and that's why you know and that you know and again there's that real tension so you know and 0.92
01:04:47.060 why we're getting so much you know we're getting pushback from some mlas as opposed to others
01:04:51.320 and the premier and members of her cabinet and otherwise because they know fundamentally you
01:04:56.480 know they're not going to have the same jobs that they've had in the same manner that they
01:05:00.220 currently have them and if it's up to us they're going to be very very very restricted in what
01:05:05.020 they can do on a going forward basis under a new constitution right and they don't like it
01:05:09.260 what uh i saw last week yves francois blanchette of the bloc quebecois being interviewed by
01:05:16.320 the left-wing corporate media i think it was in ottawa and uh one reporter cbc says to him so
01:05:24.020 you know i mean we're hearing that alberta is talking about separation it's becoming a national
01:05:29.380 story uh do you have any advice for them right it was that was that was the question and all of the
01:05:35.160 reporters were laughing and do set them so not it's not do stuff it's what's the eve blanche
01:05:39.560 yeah i know who you mean anyway so i saw the clip yeah then they're laughing and they're having a
01:05:44.260 good time like oh look at those cute separatists over there in quebec let's treat them well pat
01:05:49.120 them on the head and meanwhile they turn you guys into horrible demonic goblins for wanting the
01:05:56.140 same thing that quebec has been bellowing about since the 1950s oh you know i mean like i was 0.91
01:06:01.860 three or four weeks ago and i never bothered replying to him because it was just nonsense but
01:06:05.520 you know like we all know that jason kenny is waiting for pierre polyev uh for the knives to
01:06:10.980 come out and all the conservatives to start stabbing polyev in the back and there'd be a
01:06:14.640 conservative leadership race right so kenny you know and all of his federalist nonsense of course
01:06:19.160 you know he's positioning himself for quebec and ontario as the person to tamp down separatist
01:06:24.340 fieldings in alberta and that should make him the leader and i'm probably i was doing it too
01:06:27.680 incidentally whatever we'll get to that in a minute but uh you know this is this is the
01:06:31.580 positioning that kenny's trying to do so you know we're all going like you know like four or five
01:06:35.520 weeks ago might be a bit longer now but kenny popped out of his little gopher hole like spring 0.95
01:06:39.820 right and sends out this stupid uh tweet on on x or whatever or posting about x saying that jeff 0.98
01:06:46.320 rath as a traitorous kook was the subject of his his post right yeah yeah yeah and of course i 0.96
01:06:52.880 didn't bother replying because i didn't have to it's like you know like because if you read the
01:06:56.640 comments underneath his posting they were like 99 to 1 against kenny and in favor of me like 0.97
01:07:02.140 you know you fat bastard we fired you for a reason we trust jeff rath way more than we trust those 0.99
01:07:08.560 shots that you forced into our arms you loser go i think i may have been one of the people that was 1.00
01:07:14.080 on the comment list yeah but you know but again so i didn't need to reply because i mean every 0.93
01:07:19.200 And then the Western Standard did an article about it.
01:07:21.380 The comments on the Western Standard were very similar to the comments on the Twitter posting.
01:07:26.520 So, you know, and that really should tell people where Albertans are at right now.
01:07:30.600 Like, so we have, you know, I'm basically a litigator.
01:07:33.840 I'm a barrister.
01:07:34.520 I'm not running for public office.
01:07:35.920 I'm never going to run for public office, right?
01:07:38.320 I'm just a guy trying to get a job done, which is specifically to get Alberta the hell out of Canada, right?
01:07:42.680 so i've got more political popularity and i've got more political you know support in alberta
01:07:48.920 than a former premier of alberta that should help that should tell people something you know
01:07:54.540 if they think we don't have a hope in hell of succeeding right so um the money you mentioned
01:08:02.780 that you were talking to a room four billion dollars i'm not asking for any names here but
01:08:07.020 that is a significant backing that the project has.
01:08:11.660 Oh, I mean, no, I mean, there's all kinds.
01:08:13.480 Now all the corporations are waking up.
01:08:16.220 Once we get into the referendum period, I think under the legislation,
01:08:19.180 I haven't checked it recently, but every corporation can donate 34 grand.
01:08:23.460 Every individual can donate 44, you know, 34 grand.
01:08:26.540 I can guarantee you on our side of the equation,
01:08:29.480 on the Alberta independence equation,
01:08:31.440 there's way more Albertans on our side that can afford to donate $34,000 each
01:08:36.680 on behalf of their wife their company their you know their kids you know whatever whatever then 0.71
01:08:41.760 you know the the dye your hair purple and stick your face full and nose ring crowd does on the
01:08:47.460 NDP side right well they're all on social assistance but what I'm asking here is is
01:08:52.680 you're gonna have significant financial backing for this movement let's just say that the numbers
01:09:00.040 right now and I don't know what they are because there hasn't been a poll that I've seen let's
01:09:04.180 just say it's 35 percent of albertans who can vote will vote for separation you're gonna have
01:09:10.260 to push that to 55 or 60 percent just to make a point right it could be 51 i suppose but you let's
01:09:16.900 say 55 just to make it clear that the people i actually sure and just i want to address the
01:09:22.380 polling issue right you know i laughed the other day the cbc was talking to the same political
01:09:27.340 scientists that they've been oh we go joe smith political scientist says that support for
01:09:32.480 independence in alberta is 20 and it hasn't increased significantly in the last number of
01:09:37.540 months and he sees no momentum right this is what he's saying right of course i'm on the ground i'm
01:09:42.340 seeing something totally different right yeah and then you know um rachel parker uh had main street
01:09:47.920 do a poll um like actually shortly after that infamous tweet of hers went out that got you know
01:09:55.900 25 million impressions with me and it you know suggesting that there's nothing wrong with a group
01:10:00.140 of albertans going down to the states to investigate the possibility of u.s statehood right
01:10:04.800 um you know um after that her poll came out it was at 37 percent and then don braid wrote an
01:10:11.600 article not too long ago um that had support for independence in alberta oh well this will never
01:10:17.180 succeed only 44 percent of conservative or 40 percent of conservative voters are in favor of
01:10:22.840 independence and four percent of nbp voters are in favor of independence well dude i can do the
01:10:28.140 math that's 44 percent of likely voters are in favor of independence and that was three weeks
01:10:32.280 ago right and that's without again that conversation that i had with that really really nice young
01:10:37.240 constable the other day where you know policemen firemen nurses you know um you know working
01:10:43.000 albertans right or oh wait a minute like i make 80 or 90 grand a year i pay 25 000 a year in
01:10:48.820 federal taxes taxes and ui and cpp and my wife's a nurse and she pays you know whatever so that
01:10:55.300 means that we could have savings in our family of like forty thousand dollars a year right so
01:11:00.960 that's real money i mean you can help you know help to take care of your parents you know if
01:11:04.420 your kids want to go to a you know uh you know um you know a tennis camp in arizona or whatever the
01:11:09.660 hell you want to do that's money that's staying in your pocket rather than going to a bunch of
01:11:13.420 trudeau bureaucrats who want to bleep on about the climate emergency and hetero how heteronormativity
01:11:20.160 causes climate change so let me let me get to the the question that i was building to there with
01:11:24.940 with the polling numbers right so if we can get that to 55 it's going to take a marketing campaign
01:11:30.100 i believe and oh yeah no no no we're all wait considering the fact that you know the federal
01:11:37.200 government is going to come at you with their own multi-million dollar marketing campaign there's
01:11:42.560 going to be billboards it's going to be social media it's going to last for months television
01:11:47.320 everywhere right so you're going to have to counter it with something else and you're going
01:11:52.740 to need the best marketers to do that but you actually just said something that could be used
01:11:58.400 in a marketing campaign you need like a 30 second elevator pitch or a great slogan right hey you want
01:12:04.760 to save ten thousand dollars hey you want to save twenty thousand dollars alberta independence
01:12:09.900 whatever right like oh no we're actually on the process right now planning a bunch of push
01:12:15.100 polling i don't want to hear the details of it but that's going to be you know the new form of
01:12:18.980 you know the independence question is going to be if you know it could be shown to you that you
01:12:25.640 you know that your family income would increase by at least thirty thousand dollars a year
01:12:30.660 right would you vote for independence yes or no right you know and then pull that question to
01:12:38.240 you know two million albertans at a dollar six a cents on a 1.6 cents a robocall you know the
01:12:44.720 other thing is there's a lot of anonymous money and it's got to be corporate money doing this
01:12:49.080 stuff it's this this clip is like three minutes long so i won't play the whole thing but i mean
01:12:53.860 some group we don't know who they are they're not us did this amazing video that's better than
01:12:58.680 anything alberta tourism ever did um that um is going wild all over the internet i'll just play
01:13:05.160 you a little bit of it i'm gonna see if i can skip towards the end hang on um i'm gonna skip
01:13:09.740 ahead to the best part which is you know telling ottawa to go screw itself hang on a sec here we go
01:13:14.320 is it on youtube okay listen to this i'll hold it up for my microphone
01:13:17.840 but for too long alberta has been a titan taken for granted our wealth siphoned to serve distant
01:13:25.580 agendas our energy and really nice uh where's the camera like really nice graphics and really
01:13:31.280 nice video right is that on youtube yeah yeah no it's on uh it's on x right on here you gotta
01:13:38.140 hear that you got to hear the title of this sacrifice canada has reaped the rewards of
01:13:44.780 alberta's toil our oil our labor our spirit while offering crumbs in return we've been used not
01:13:53.200 valued exploited not embraced but no more alberta will not be a servant in its own house they told
01:14:01.280 us to kneel to conform to surrender our way of life but alberta does not bend we are the engine
01:14:09.100 of industry the heartbeat wow yeah it goes on it goes on but anyway you get the point so we
01:14:15.840 have nothing to do with that right so there's corporate money floating around and that's not
01:14:20.080 the only video like that all of these videos are now being produced and paid for i have sort of a
01:14:24.940 hobby um business i'm involved in you know i'm involved in a music production company so i know
01:14:30.860 what it costs to produce music videos that's a twenty thousand dollar video minimum and it's
01:14:36.260 slick i mean it's really slick and on top of it they're paying to boost it on facebook and you
01:14:41.380 know x whatever whatever whatever so there's a real push in the campaign behind it right
01:14:45.940 so and we have nothing to do with it you know it's you know so i think there's going to be a
01:14:51.840 lot more of that i mean you know because the other thing is too i mean i think there's a lot
01:14:55.120 of companies and industries that don't necessarily want to stick their necks out but they've got you
01:14:59.760 know um you know they've got corporate money they've got the ability to do stuff like that
01:15:03.420 there's lots of people in the states too that are interested in doing stuff like that
01:15:06.780 i mean like you know like as an example one of the you know one of the crazy things that trudeau did
01:15:11.500 um without telling anybody like you heard of the west coast tanker ban well nobody knows
01:15:16.580 probably knows this one and you know across your viewership trudeau one day on you know
01:15:21.800 likely on mark carney's advice quietly changed the regulations for rail tank cars right so that
01:15:28.660 90 percent of the north american rolling stock could no longer be used to ship alberta oil to
01:15:34.900 texas okay guess what company is the only company in north america that owns rail cars capable of
01:15:42.100 transporting alberta crude to texas berkshire hathaway so guess what company um owns the only
01:15:49.380 um company in north america that manufactures rail cars that meet the new liberal um specifications
01:15:56.460 locations no berkshire hathaway but again like you know but again we all know how tight warren
01:16:02.700 buffett was with trudeau we know there's obviously you know we need to dig into it but i'm sure
01:16:06.520 there's a relationship between brookfield and berkshire hathaway right there has to be it
01:16:10.460 you know and it's just like you know berkshire hathaway owns carrier right like the you know
01:16:14.820 or i'm sorry crane the plumbing company that you know that actually manufactures the most heat
01:16:19.100 pumps in the world why did you think trudeau was pushing heat pumps you know again you know like
01:16:24.400 you know brookfield you know mark carney right like it's just despicable right i mean you know
01:16:30.620 in alberta free alberta like you know all of the north american rolling stock will be available
01:16:35.960 again and we can go back to shipping as much oil as we need to by train down to texas and needless
01:16:40.620 to say there's a lot of people on the receiving end of that oil in texas that have a vested
01:16:44.880 interest in helping us get where we need to go so a lot of them are a lot of them are very busy
01:16:49.560 you know helping us out you know behind the scenes without us directing them to do anything
01:16:53.200 because it's in their best economic interest right you know this happens so let's just say
01:16:58.000 the the referendum happens in november and you get a win and after that right now it's time to
01:17:06.100 negotiate with the federal government i suppose what would you be negotiating i heard you say
01:17:11.400 a while back and you got a great deal of ridicule for this as well i think it was on x uh that
01:17:16.620 you'll be able to keep your canadian passports um to the people who still want to remain canadian
01:17:22.880 within alberta is that yeah of course it's true canada doesn't recognize the renunciation of
01:17:28.020 citizenship right mike myers still has a canadian passport mike myers has three citizenships uk us
01:17:33.720 of canada so mr elbows up right um you know like pick a country mike but stop being canadian because
01:17:41.840 you're not same with carney he had like you know uk ireland eu you know canada they now say that
01:17:47.300 he's somebody on twitter oh well more corny's renounced all his all of his passports to which
01:17:52.220 my clever reply was oh that's interesting he renounced all of his passports did he renounce
01:17:57.680 all of his offshore tax havens and did he renounce all of his offshore accounts yeah i doubt it he's
01:18:04.660 gonna have to within the next few days he's gonna have to reveal all of his holdings right
01:18:09.820 i don't think he's going to i think he's going to try to pull the trump and keep his tax you know
01:18:13.740 he's going to try to keep that all away from us right i don't i don't think they can make him do
01:18:17.080 it i don't you know we'll see but i'm he's just going to say it's all on a blind trust it's all
01:18:21.420 in a blind trust nothing to see here it's blind i can't see it you can't see it nobody can see it
01:18:25.940 you know just like you know obviously like he's got he's probably got more offshore trust than
01:18:30.460 a moose has ticks you know i mean it's just money just buried everywhere right so we're talking about
01:18:36.260 a grass roots movement here there was a massive rally in edmonton i think a week and a half ago
01:18:42.640 at the at the legislature there is there anything like that happening just random uh yeah well
01:18:49.080 there's lots of random stuff popping up like last night during an oilers game no less um ezra
01:18:53.880 levant decided to you know and he's doing it for his own reasons like he's got people signing
01:18:58.220 signature you know signing up for stuff thinking they're signing a referendum petition but really
01:19:02.460 they're giving ezra levant all of their contact information for his own business purposes right
01:19:07.200 um you know but um uh you know so ezra levant did an event the other night um you know that
01:19:14.300 drew a thousand people in calgary we had an event on monday that drew a thousand people in calgary
01:19:18.880 you know we're planning big events in edmonton i mean hell we're having we got one plan i was
01:19:23.840 talking about it today we're gonna have a massive event in provost alberta uh closer to the
01:19:28.680 saskatchewan border um in june where we're expecting four or five thousand people the
01:19:33.620 road hammers are gonna play it's gonna be a lot of fun right oh we're gonna turn this into a big
01:19:37.760 summer party man like we're gonna be rocking and rolling and you know drawing out the crowds
01:19:41.960 getting out the kids and having barbecues and you know and just having a great time in and around
01:19:46.460 sticking it to mark carney like it's going to be fun he's going to be the last prime minister of
01:19:50.400 canada if i have anything to say about it that's what many people have been saying uh and i think
01:19:55.560 preston manning even said it uh i'm not sure where he said it but he said i think mark carney is going
01:20:01.220 to be the last prime minister of canada well i mean alberta leaves saskatchewan follows that
01:20:07.400 would be my assumption obviously no and then and then quebec why would quebec stay um if they no
01:20:13.700 longer have alberta to suck dry right yeah so you know quebec will leave and you know and then
01:20:19.720 british columbia what what is it going to do like just continue moving trains back and forth to
01:20:23.660 ontario like you know so i mean british columbia is probably going to have to look at its options
01:20:28.640 as well right so you know so i guess mark carney will be the prime minister of ontario in the
01:20:34.860 maritimes and you know if they'll ever you know if they'll ever re-elect him after he completely 0.97
01:20:39.580 shredded the entire country you know with his marxist bullshit you know i mean it's you know 0.98
01:20:44.520 it's you know because let's not forget he was the one advising justin trudeau i mean justin trudeau 0.99
01:20:49.660 yeah justin trudeau was a drama school dropout right and you know i mean you know i've you know
01:20:56.820 i've met him on several occasions certainly not the break you know never that never was the
01:21:01.000 sharpest knife in the drawer had no business being prime minister other than the fact that
01:21:05.020 He had that family name and a bunch of Jean Cretier supporters saw him speak at his dad's funeral and went, ah, we have an answer to Paul Martin.
01:21:13.500 That was it.
01:21:14.460 Yeah, and all the Martinites within the Liberal Party, right?
01:21:17.280 We have, you know, like whatever, right?
01:21:18.680 So, you know, it's a real sad state. 1.00
01:21:22.820 And that's the other reason that Alberta wants to get the hell out.
01:21:25.040 We need to get away from the federal liberals. 0.97
01:21:27.220 I mean, they're evil.
01:21:28.660 I mean, these people, what they've done to this country, and I mean, it's all just to line their own pockets.
01:21:32.640 Like, they're not doing anything for the benefit of Canada.
01:21:35.020 They're all working, you know, they're all working angles everywhere.
01:21:38.360 The Laurentian elites, right?
01:21:39.600 The ones who control the Liberal Party and to some extent the Conservative Party.
01:21:42.880 But you've got to worry too and you've got to keep your eye on things as well.
01:21:46.320 Not you necessarily, just in general, you know, because there's elites in Alberta as well.
01:21:51.920 There's elites in BC.
01:21:53.060 Well, no, I just gave you that Alberta politics 101 lesson with the incestuous relationship between Jason Kenney and Nancy Southern, right?
01:22:01.280 I mean, you know, that's, you know, but again, like you've got to hear this from me, okay?
01:22:04.840 like we've always known as Albertans that there's always been a vague whiff of stench of corruption
01:22:11.980 floating around the conservative party of Alberta you know it's kind of like when you walk by the
01:22:16.300 side of a septic tank on the wrong day in the wrong wind or whatever yeah it's just something
01:22:21.020 just smells a little bit yeah yeah yeah you can spell it right but we've largely tolerated as
01:22:28.220 Albertans that little stench of sewage that emanates from the conservative party of Alberta
01:22:33.520 because by and large they provided good governance and relatively low tax rates and by you know and 0.99
01:22:40.840 and kept their goddamn noses out of our individual lives right but then kenny completely shredded 0.94
01:22:46.780 that compact during covid right when he thought you know in order and again in my personal view 0.99
01:22:52.860 to pander to eastern canada because he knew um you know that he was never going to be elected
01:22:58.340 prime minister of canada if he did what he should have done which would have been the easiest thing
01:23:03.160 to do which was just to follow every single um announcement and policy that was put in by ron
01:23:09.720 de santis in florida like had he done that he would have come out of covid in alberta as a hero
01:23:15.320 right there would have been a lot of left-wing karens that were really upset that they couldn't
01:23:19.580 impose you know communist rule on alberta for you know a month or two they would have been upset but
01:23:24.420 they wouldn't have been by far the majority kenny would have been a hero right and would have like
01:23:29.480 easily you know um you know sailed through his term and he would have been re-elected probably
01:23:33.780 with you know us you know like uh you have 87 constituents constituencies like with you know
01:23:39.320 an 82 constituency majority right had he just done that it was so simple for him to do but of course
01:23:46.020 the trump derangement syndrome is so high in quebec and ontario that's how carney got elected
01:23:51.160 um that there is no way that kenny could follow sensible republican policies conservative policies
01:23:57.600 of governor de santis in florida because he was afraid it was going to alienate you know all of
01:24:03.300 the karens in ontario and quebec that he was going to need to get elected prime minister and again
01:24:08.620 that's again that's the lesson and that's the problem with canadian federalism is that it you
01:24:13.500 know it it entices politicians like jason kenny right to make really really bad decisions contrary
01:24:21.780 to the interests of their own citizens you know because they've got their eye on that golden ring
01:24:26.300 of becoming Prime Minister of Canada
01:24:27.920 and being the boss of everyone, right?
01:24:30.440 So that's what we want to get away from, right?
01:24:34.440 Imagine Alberta as its own country.
01:24:37.460 That's 5 million people, right?
01:24:39.280 Or close to.
01:24:40.320 I think probably a few million more
01:24:42.980 over the course of a couple, three years,
01:24:45.120 depending on the immigration system that you've got.
01:24:47.180 Well, there's lots and lots of people in Ontario
01:24:48.920 who are selling their homes and their businesses
01:24:50.480 and moving to Alberta right now.
01:24:51.780 Yeah, absolutely.
01:24:53.140 And we're happy to have them.
01:24:54.580 Hardworking, industrious people.
01:24:55.880 you got your own money you can afford to buy a house you're not going to be on welfare hey come
01:25:00.300 on down you might you might lose some of the lefties out of the cities which would be all
01:25:04.640 right but that adds saskatchewan to it right so there's another 1.5 million people and you're
01:25:09.040 looking at a uh you know population down the road and not that far down the road of probably close
01:25:14.960 to 10 million people that's not bad and that's a lot of great land and you've got everything
01:25:20.020 you know i mean it's all but on top of it right like already like albert like albert and it's
01:25:27.340 shocking when you think about it so alberta's population is roughly the same as uh the republic
01:25:31.600 of ireland okay we're roughly you know five they're five and a half whatever right our gdp
01:25:37.360 um uh is and i was shocked when i saw this it really bothered me our gdp in alberta is 300
01:25:43.360 and currently 350 billion dollars right ireland is number two in the world after luxembourg
01:25:48.780 their gdp is currently 550 billion dollars i don't know why ireland right but you know i'll get into
01:25:57.000 the why of it in a minute albertas could be double ireland's our gdp could be a trillion dollars
01:26:02.260 then why isn't it you know it's because mark lalonde and the trudeau liberals back in the you
01:26:07.060 know in the 80s were terrified about alberta becoming the economic center of canada and have
01:26:13.160 done everything that they can to kick the crap out of us ever since because they would lose their
01:26:18.620 you know the wrench and power base with all of the you know companies and headquarters and
01:26:22.580 everybody else moving to alberta which is now going to happen right i mean you know that dream
01:26:27.380 of theirs um you know that they tried to prevent or that nightmare of theirs that they tried to
01:26:30.880 prevent is going to come true and you know and alberta's the lowest tax lowest regulated uh
01:26:35.960 jurisdiction um you know in north america why wouldn't corporate headquarters and investment
01:26:41.280 flock to alberta like i you know and again getting all getting back to jason kenny and his incestuous
01:26:45.760 relationship with nancy southern the two of them popped up the other day and said oh well we had
01:26:51.380 clients coming from japan and korea and they were afraid to invest because they didn't know how they
01:26:57.600 were going to get their goods out of alberta and of course okay so nancy like you know you know
01:27:02.220 your salary gets published from time to time in the top you know you know in the top tier of
01:27:06.760 canadian paid ceos you've got all your family trust money squirreled away all over the world
01:27:10.760 that your dad left you you're worth a billion and a half two three five billion dollars whatever
01:27:14.700 you know you should be able to communicate with clients same with jason kenny one would think
01:27:19.480 he's a professional communicator so what was the difficulty in either one of them telling people
01:27:23.520 from japan or korea oh god don't worry about that the trains are never going to stop running
01:27:28.200 through alberta to vancouver they can't um your goods are going to move just fine right and on
01:27:33.880 top of it you guys are business people that said oh well we don't know what the rules are going to
01:27:37.240 be well the rules are going to be a lot less than they are now so you're business people so you tell
01:27:43.180 me when you make the most money do you make the most money in a very high taxed high regulated
01:27:48.280 jurisdiction or do you make the most money in a low tax low regulated jurisdiction alberta is about
01:27:54.580 to become a low tax low regulated jurisdiction you need to get in on the front edge of the wave
01:27:59.820 and capitalize on this because you're going to become very very very wealthy beyond any projections
01:28:05.720 that you currently have in any of your prospectuses and business plans come on board i mean these
01:28:10.860 people are supposed to be professional communicators and you know and they're supposed to have a clue
01:28:14.720 as to how economics work right how hard did that be to tell anybody or to have that translated into
01:28:20.920 japanese and korean and i don't think for a second that any japanese business people from japan or 0.96
01:28:26.040 korea are really that stupid i think that's just a story that that uh that jason kenny and nancy 0.99
01:28:31.420 southern made up um you know as part of their ongoing campaign to stay on the gravy train that 1.00
01:28:36.380 on and continue to suck up all the subsidies and patronage and you know and everything else that
01:28:41.960 they can get their little paws on you know so you know donald trump signed he was just over in the
01:28:46.660 uae just signed uh i think 1.4 trillion dollars worth of deals with all the big money over there
01:28:54.020 and nothing is happening in canada we get carney and we we get stephen gilbeau saying well you know
01:29:01.440 there's no company that wants to build a pipeline in canada anyway i mean we're not a serious country
01:29:07.400 canada no carney no and carney is not a serious human being like even in statement oh we might
01:29:12.760 allow one pipeline if i can develop a national consensus so i was actually talking about a group
01:29:18.420 that i was talking to recently you know i said to them i said it reminds me of mackenzie king's
01:29:24.380 comment on conscription a pipeline if necessary but not necessarily a pipeline 0.99
01:29:29.380 right right like how stupid does he think we are like does he not understand that we're 0.99
01:29:35.940 well-educated people that have a view of canadian history and we understand how ridiculous he sounds 0.99
01:29:41.240 no because of the arrogance right it's that it's that a laurentian elite arrogance in that 0.84
01:29:45.960 condescension and they look at us all like like crickets like insects to be crushed and used for
01:29:52.440 protein powder yeah yeah soylent green absolutely all right man look we got to wrap it up is there
01:29:58.100 anything left or are you going to come back on in a couple of weeks no i'll come back on whatever
01:30:01.720 the hell you want me i've been i always enjoy talking to you we always have a really lively
01:30:05.540 conversation i do again though want to close and by reminding everybody of the actual economic
01:30:11.400 message that we're selling right there is nothing and you know and keep in mind i mean manitobans
01:30:16.520 saskatchewanians british columbians keep in mind there is nothing there's no deal that your premier
01:30:23.500 and mark carney could negotiate that will have greater value to you and your economy than a
01:30:30.540 complete end of all federal regulation and all federal taxation of your province i mean think
01:30:36.800 about how much wealthier everybody's going to be when we just declare this failed experiment of
01:30:41.880 canada over and that everybody you know can get on with you know living lives as free sovereign
01:30:47.580 individuals in low tax low um regular low regulatory regimes that respect our rights
01:30:55.380 and interests as human beings and don't treat us like you know we're the problem and that somehow
01:31:00.620 every you know every time we turn on our car to go to work that we're an existential threat to
01:31:05.240 the planet by making plant food you know to make plants grow better you know out of the tailpipes
01:31:10.480 of our cars and whatever else you know i mean i just everybody just needs to get their head around
01:31:14.820 And I really do believe that Carney is going to be the last prime minister of Canada.
01:31:20.140 And I mean, even, you know, even Ontario should ask itself, right?
01:31:22.640 You know, like, what the hell do we need the federal government for anyway?
01:31:25.600 They've outlived their usefulness.
01:31:27.040 We can all have our own militias.
01:31:28.500 We can all have our own national guards, you know, like whatever, whatever.
01:31:31.780 I mean, everybody would be so much better off just by getting rid of that entire wasteful
01:31:36.200 level of government and, you know, and only having one level of government that is much
01:31:40.780 closer to the people that will have to be much more responsive to the rights and interests of
01:31:45.480 their people as opposed to this grossly bloated federal bureaucracy that's just trying to kill us
01:31:50.080 all all right brother thank you for coming on tonight and again you know what if you got some
01:31:55.000 news for us you're more than welcome back anytime oh i'm yeah i'm always happy to come on and talk
01:32:00.140 nonsense with you shadow you know that all right have a great night man thank you okay you too i'll
01:32:04.520 Okay, there is Jeff Rath, the Alberta Prosperity Project.
01:32:09.160 And here's Mark Carney and Stephen Gilbeau.
01:32:11.760 I appreciate that you've read my book very carefully.
01:32:14.460 At the core of the way I talk about the energy transition is the future of,
01:32:18.800 including about Canada being an energy superpower, is the future is low risk.
01:32:24.120 Canada's low risk is a business investment place.
01:32:26.960 Low cost, we're getting the cost down, including the oil sands,
01:32:30.740 the marginal production is low cost and low carbon.
01:32:34.520 All three of those come together. We have the ingredients of all that.
01:32:38.420 Let's get together and move on it. And it takes more than just one pipeline.
01:32:42.880 And the Canadian Energy Regulator, as well as the International Energy Agency,
01:32:46.520 are telling us that probably by 2028, 2029, demand for oil will peak globally,
01:32:53.000 and it will also peak in Canada.
01:32:55.600 So as far as I know, there are no investors right now.
01:32:58.000 There are no companies that are saying that they want to build an east-west pipeline.
01:33:01.200 And as you know, these things are built by companies, not governments.
01:33:09.820 Here's something else.
01:33:13.200 Here's a CBC story.
01:33:15.120 I think this one was yesterday, maybe today.
01:33:19.600 No, yeah, two days ago.
01:33:21.420 Violent sex offender expected to live in Winnipeg, a high risk to re-offend.
01:33:26.260 his name is michael curtis thomas 31 years old convicted in september of 2020 so he's only been
01:33:33.580 in jail for less than five years aggravated sexual assault against a woman so he's out
01:33:38.900 he's going to live in winnipeg and then look at this just two days later another one
01:33:42.960 sex offender with long criminal record expected to live in winnipeg after release according to
01:33:49.900 the police. His name, Charles Henry Desjarlais, 62, was serving a 10-year sentence for sexual
01:33:57.020 assault conviction, and there he is. We can't let these people out back into our societies
01:34:04.640 so they can do it all over again. The United States is cracking down on all of this stuff
01:34:11.040 right now. They're shutting their borders down. Their southern border is the most secure
01:34:15.080 it's ever been. They're getting rid of illegal aliens who have been coming into the country and 1.00
01:34:21.040 committing crimes at a record pace. Not the crime committing, getting rid of the people 1.00
01:34:25.840 who are committing the crimes. Billions of dollars are being brought into the U.S. economy.
01:34:32.940 Look at this. Trump's visit to the UAE. Watch.
01:34:35.440 Of President Donald Trump's exceptional efforts to strengthen the longstanding ties of friendship
01:34:41.920 and strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and United States of America,
01:34:47.400 I am honored to announce that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nayan bestows
01:34:53.760 the order of Zayed upon President Trump.
01:35:11.920 Thank you.
01:35:41.920 one point hang on a minute 1.4 why is this not there 1.4 trillion dollars worth of deals
01:36:03.020 signed in the united arab emirates that will be flowing into the u.s economy
01:36:11.920 The man knows how to do business and he knows how to take care of his own people, regardless of what the left wing freaks down there think.
01:36:20.760 Is he in on some of these deals? Is he making money personally? Maybe. I don't know.
01:36:27.220 But does it really matter at this stage of the game if you are getting a part of it?
01:36:32.180 if you're an american and you're starting to see things clearly again because now you can
01:36:40.740 afford stuff again and if you work hard you know you can do things again and then here in canada
01:36:48.360 oh no no no no we can't have another pipeline why don't we use the one we have it's only at 40
01:36:52.300 capacity that's a lie well you know maybe we can get a pipeline going one pipeline it won't make
01:37:00.560 us an energy superpower and we're going to need national consensus well you're never going to get
01:37:04.280 it and that's exactly what he's going to say we can't get quebec to agree what do you want me to
01:37:08.640 do well why don't you promise to use the emergency powers oh wait a minute mark carney you did
01:37:14.720 promise to use the emergency powers so you can take on the americans good luck with that how many
01:37:23.100 of you write it down in the comments i don't think i've even asked this question directly to you guys
01:37:29.420 yet and we're an hour and a half into the show um so we're going to be moving to the extension
01:37:35.620 pretty quick oh and by the way guys there's a there's this guy called matthew brown
01:37:40.240 he's a dod whistleblower got some very very very important things to say we're going to run
01:37:50.420 part one of that interview tonight on the extension whoa heavy duty we live in a matrix
01:37:59.140 that's what he said write down in the comments i want i'm seriously wanting to read this i don't
01:38:07.540 need you guys to editorialize or anything like that if you want to explain why you feel the way
01:38:12.180 you do of course let's try and keep it clean let's try and keep it civil we had a little bit
01:38:18.380 more uh dirty language not dirty bad language on the show tonight that we normally do but
01:38:23.300 whatever you know sometimes you just got to let it out do you believe that canada is over
01:38:31.440 do you believe that alberta should in fact separate from canada
01:38:37.820 or do you want it to stay together
01:38:42.840 whatever answer you have is fine i don't want anybody thinking that because they say no i
01:38:52.420 want canada to stay together that you're going to be you know scolded for that it's not going
01:39:00.500 to happen you're you're allowed to have your opinion it's important right and i want to get
01:39:06.580 kind of an accurate gauge on it here and this is not limited to the people from alberta either this
01:39:12.900 is wherever you're watching from if you have a stake in canada of any kind because i know we
01:39:20.160 have american viewers and we've got viewers in europe and australia as well obviously you're
01:39:25.200 watching this particular show for a reason you've got some kind of a tie to this country and you're
01:39:29.460 interested in what happens in canada so you're allowed everybody's allowed to go ahead and
01:39:36.240 offer their opinions up do you think it's time for canada to say well we tried
01:39:43.180 and then just move along, separate up?
01:39:48.960 Or should it stay together?
01:39:51.520 Because every time we've got a liberal government in there,
01:39:54.320 this seems to happen, doesn't it?
01:39:57.200 Okay, you guys, thank you very much.
01:39:59.240 Again, there is no show tomorrow night.
01:40:01.260 We're going to be getting rid of the Friday shows through the summer,
01:40:04.340 and we'll bring them back in the fall.
01:40:06.780 I'm taking three-day weekends from now until September.
01:40:10.900 That's just the way it is, folks.
01:40:13.180 I need a little bit of time to breathe.
01:40:15.140 I am considering strongly, and I know Maggie Hope Braun is as well,
01:40:20.600 taking a trip out to BC to Universal Ostrich Farm.
01:40:26.180 But that is like, if I do do that, it's going to be a last-minute decision,
01:40:31.620 and I'll just go.
01:40:33.920 And the next time you hear from me, I'll be on the road,
01:40:36.820 on the TransCanada, somewhere between Manitoba and BC.
01:40:40.460 the extension is coming up in just a second oh by the way i want to announce the winner of either
