00:17:19.860 material on april 29th officers with the rcmp northwest region federal policing national

00:17:25.500 security team that's a mouthful arrested a 23 year old man he's been charged with four counts

00:17:31.280 of willful promotion of hatred and is in custody at the winnipeg remand center they don't tell us

00:18:13.820 on x today chris carbert antonio linick have been denied parole the parole board of you guys

00:18:20.380 probably know this already but there is some good news here the parole board of canada said the men

00:18:25.060 lacked accountability for their actions interestingly right blend says the crown

00:18:30.280 just dropped their appeal of the men's not guilty verdict on the charge of conspiracy to commit

00:18:35.020 murder so they won't have to go back to court again and face another lengthy trial which is

00:18:40.920 excellent news betty carbert was on facebook last night posting about that very joyously

00:18:46.640 right blend goes on to say the timeline of when the crown dropped their appeal isn't yet perfectly

00:18:51.440 clear the cbc story reporting that the men have been denied parole still mentions the crown is

00:18:56.300 appealing their acquittals both mr olenek and mr carbert have been behind bars since february of

00:19:00.880 2022 the parole board of canada noted that mr carbert's in custody behavior has been very good

00:19:08.220 The board said that Mr. Olenek's time has been unproblematic,

00:19:11.240 but that there's little evidence of change in his thinking or behavior.

00:20:52.880 Barber is back in Ottawa court, his legal team asking for a halt in sentencing. His team is

00:20:59.620 arguing that Chris acted in good faith during the Freedom Convoy protest, relying on information

00:21:05.020 from police, lawyers, and even a judge. So Chris has been on the stand for most of the morning

00:21:11.280 going over. This is actually the first time that Chris has been on the stand too, so hearing things

00:21:15.680 from his perspective. Started out basically from when he left the West Coast. A lot of the

00:21:22.180 questioning regarding uh dealing with police so as he was crossing from uh from the west east um

00:21:28.700 he made contact with police agencies all the way along so uh between rcmp provincial police uh

00:21:34.460 local police services there was constant contact with police who were providing uh guidance and uh

00:21:40.940 and facilitating things along the way um of note when he arrived in ontario he was met by opp

00:21:46.300 and, quote, they joined the convoy.

00:21:50.360 So basically saying that from the Ontario-Manitoba border on,

00:21:53.940 they were escorted by OPP all the way to Armprior,

00:21:57.700 which is a town just west of Ottawa.

00:21:59.200 So they were escorted from the border all the way through Ontario to Armprior.

00:22:04.380 And then following that, they were escorted part of the way into Ottawa from OPP.

00:26:52.700 carbon tax and inflation were connected. It's what they've been doing since introducing the

00:26:57.820 consumer carbon tax in 2018. They really wanted you to believe that increasing the cost of

00:27:03.780 everything with a tax on carbon wouldn't raise prices and that you, us, we'd be better off.

00:27:10.420 the price decrease in april was mainly driven by the removal of the consumer carbon price

00:27:17.120 i just read that to you from the statistics canada website they announced that yesterday

00:27:22.400 morning the agency noted that the fall in crude oil prices also played a role but

00:27:27.180 put most of the inflation drop on the carbon tax rate being reduced to zero

00:27:31.680 despite claims otherwise the carbon tax remains in place they just don't charge it on the consumer

00:27:37.820 side though the carny government says they'll introduce legislation to remove it if you believe

00:27:50.260 uranium or potash on it nowhere just muskeg eight out of ten canadians are better off with the

00:28:27.560 added to supply chains when it came to the final price. They wanted you to ignore that the greenhouse

00:28:32.920 tomato grown in Manitik or Leamington would have a carbon tax added on for the natural gas released

00:28:38.900 into the greenhouse, even though that CO2 was absorbed by the plants to allow them to grow.

00:28:48.580 Canada is just one giant carbon sinkhole, so all of this is total BS, but you guys know that.

00:28:58.080 The liberals wanted you to ignore that the truck that would pick up the tomato and take

00:29:02.700 them to the wholesaler would pay the carbon tax on the gas used to transport them, as would the
