00:03:00.000hello everybody welcome to the shadow davis show this is wednesday wednesday september the 9th
00:03:19.3402026 on the show tonight we're going to cover the latest in the u.s canada trade negotiations
00:03:24.560such as they are. Left-wing corporate media not attending the Allison Inquiry, and neither is
00:03:30.300Pierre Polyev, even though X is in an uproar about that. And Wiretap Media did a great story
00:03:36.980on it. We'll get to that a little bit later on. Why Pierre Polyev has lost the popularity that
00:03:41.660he gained after becoming the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada three or four
00:03:46.420years ago now. And of course, the Allison Inquiry. We do have some video to play for you a little bit
00:03:51.460later on in the show tonight but we also have a guest on and we've been trying to make this happen
00:03:56.860now i'm gonna say this has been probably a month maybe more she is one of canada's frontline nurses
00:04:06.920please welcome everybody give a warm welcome to sarah shijonian uh who was fined now sarah i know
00:04:15.640we have to go back to the beginning of this whole thing because there's going to be a lot of people
00:04:19.920watching this show tonight who know your face, who know what you did during the COVID response,
00:04:25.360but don't know exactly what happened to you afterwards or don't know the details of what
00:04:31.040happened. So I do want to go through that. But we should tell everybody before we begin that in July,
00:04:37.840the final total came down from the Ontario College of Nurses that you owe them $297,000.
00:04:46.280dollars yes i mean when you hear that figure even now a couple of months after first receiving the
00:04:54.240news how does that make you feel like does it make you laugh does it make you sad is it a
00:04:59.220combination of everything uh i think it depends on the moment or the day uh but we've been exposed
00:05:05.840to like big fines like that for a while now with canadian frontline nurses like we were hit with
00:05:12.280the $315,000 for the defamation case we had against the Canadian Nurses Association. And,
00:05:19.360you know, and, you know, our lawyers were billing us at first, and it was in like,
00:05:26.280like, there's half a million dollar invoice for our Emergencies Act case that's still ongoing.
00:05:33.860You know, and I thought all the time, I was always saying 800,000, they're going to charge
00:05:38.200me 800 000 because i was being told that the costs were coming to me so 300 000 you know they gave me
00:05:46.02050 off um that's a drop in the bucket then yeah funny but not funny you know um it's just that
00:05:54.760i've been expecting it for so long that you know now that it's here um i'm not gonna pay it like
00:06:01.980i'm gonna have to do like bankruptcy at some point or something but i'm not paying it so so
00:06:07.880Well, let's let's go back then and talk about all of your cases, not just this one.
00:06:12.400This is the one that I want to obviously focus on.
00:06:14.740But you had mentioned that there are several different cases that you're involved with, not all solely on you, but part of the as part of the Canadian frontline nurses, you're part of it as well.
00:06:25.500So can you go ahead and detail all of this legal crap that you've had to go through for the past six years?
00:06:35.540Just give us an overview, and then we'll concentrate on this appeal that you're getting together here, because that's the important thing.
00:06:41.420Okay, so there was, when it comes to me and the Ontario Canadian, the College of Nurses of Ontario, I had five investigations, four which have turned into disciplinary hearing.
00:06:53.460One is the one we're going to talk about, and there's three new ones coming up.
00:06:58.140December, I think it's 15th, 16th, and 17th.
00:07:02.060I just had a pre-hearing conference yesterday and I told them I wouldn't be participating.
00:07:15.840Let me just clarify this, that these cases brought to you or brought upon you by the Ontario College of Nurses, they're disciplinary cases, correct?
00:07:27.760you have to sit in front of a panel a select panel of representatives from the college
00:07:32.940and answer questions and explain yourself yes like a struggle session yes well it was supposed
00:07:39.840to be seven days are experts against theirs and it ended up being 28 days and they don't want to
00:07:46.700allow the evidence that you provide into these cases so in that way it's completely one-sided
00:07:52.020Right. They didn't qualify my experts, Dr. Byron Bridle. And as and yeah, they called him a vet, a veterinarian. And they I think they questioned him for like three days. And Dr. Stefan Pellick also didn't, you know, I think he was qualified on one and a half of the four things he was supposed to be qualified on.
00:08:17.040So most of the evidence, even when they were qualified, were not being let in.
00:08:22.700They were saying to me, my experts were difficult.
00:08:25.820Stephen Pellick is a world-renowned microbiologist.
00:08:45.980and they said no i'm sorry these guys are quacks yeah or they're difficult whatever that means0.92
00:08:51.820what does that even mean well they weren't answering straight like because they had to0.70
00:08:57.320explain to get to the answer because the answer alone would look a certain way but they only
00:09:02.820wanted the answer alone they didn't want the explanation and stuff like that and they kept
00:09:07.760redirecting them so they didn't want any context around the actual answers of the questions that
00:09:13.880they were asking, which again, leads everyone to believe that this is a, this is a one-sided
00:09:19.020thing. I want to put your website up here. This is Sarah for freedom.com. As you can see in the
00:09:24.980upper bar there, Sarah, and there's two ways to spell it. This is with an H S A R A H the number
00:09:33.260for freedom, all one word, Sarah for freedom.com. It says Sarah was disciplined for what she said
00:09:39.840in public, her appeal asks whether a nursing regulator went too far in punishing public
00:09:45.760dissent. So, Sarah, before we get into the explanation for that, I want to throw this
00:09:52.600piece up because I saw you just shared it on X a couple of hours ago. This is Bill 13, which is
00:09:58.060now law. It became law in Alberta on September the 1st, where professionals are allowed to speak up
00:10:05.020regarding their concerns about health or law or whatever profession happens to be governed by a
00:10:10.940college or a board. Listen to Danielle Smith here, you guys. Today we are introducing Bill 13,
00:10:16.200the Regulated Professions Neutrality Act. This is common sense legislation that would recognize
00:10:22.380that everyone should have the right to express their personal views freely. No professional
00:10:28.000should fear losing their license, their reputation, or their livelihood because of a personal opinion,
00:10:33.740a social media post an interview or open dialogue outside of working hours these changes come after
00:10:39.580one of the most notable cases of professional regulators punishing an individual for comments
00:10:45.100made outside of a professional setting and that is dr jordan peterson dr peterson was sanctioned
00:10:51.260and ordered to undertake a so-called re-education program in order to maintain his credentials for
00:10:56.860statements he had made outside of a clinical psychology setting similar notable cases have
00:11:03.100involved nurses doctors and teachers that have been punished sanctioned or have had their licenses
00:11:08.940threatened for comments that they have made on social media at protests or even at meetings of
00:11:15.020local city councils we looked at these cases and asked an important question are regulators still
00:11:20.940focused on public safety and professional competence or are some of them overstepping
00:11:25.900to enforce ideological conformity and to silence public discourse the bill aims to protect
00:11:32.220expressive off-duty conduct. It draws a clear distinction that regulators are responsible for
00:11:38.180competence and ethics, not policing beliefs or personal expression that has no bearing on a
00:11:43.780person's ability to do their professional practice. No one cherishes their freedoms like Albertans do.
00:11:49.740This is a sentiment that we hear often and something that our government takes seriously.
00:11:53.880Our aim is to uphold professionals' rights and freedoms while continuing to protect the public
00:11:58.620interest so that both public confidence and professional integrity are maintained we want
00:12:04.380to ensure that professional regulatory bodies keep their focus on areas within their scope
00:12:09.500on members actions that affect their professional competence and ethics because everyone has the
00:12:14.700right to express themselves and to share their views and to have their voice heard in our society
00:12:20.540yes i tend to agree with that and again that bill in alberta became law on september the first
00:12:26.460So these people are overreaching and because they only police themselves and people, I guess, who are members of the college, they can do seemingly whatever they want, right?
00:12:40.540So what exactly have they done to you?
00:12:43.760I mean, it says on your website, the very first page of your website, when we get there here, Sarah was disciplined for what she said in public.
00:12:51.340her appeal asks whether a nursing regulator went too far in punishing public dissent the college
00:12:57.260of nurses of ontario case concerned 12 public statements sarah made or shared during the covet
00:13:03.66019 pandemic her appeal asks the divisional court to review the treatment of her defense evidence
00:13:09.500obviously unfair the fairness of the hearing and whether her freedom to speak and participate in
00:13:14.460public debate was properly respected. What did they say to you? Like when they came up with
00:13:22.660their ruling to you, aside from the $297,000 in fine and court costs, what did they say your
00:13:29.960misconduct was? That you had an opinion they disagreed with? Yeah, misinformation, misconduct,
00:13:36.420and I exploited the public's trust. They say that I did all this for followings and that I'm
00:13:43.460taking donations for my own self. Um, they said I was ungovernable. Actually, they say this very
00:13:49.940clearly. And they said it many times, actually, again, on the day of the penalty and cost that
00:13:55.080I am the example. And this needs to, uh, you know, they need to send a message to other nurses
00:14:01.240that you don't do this. Right. And they actually even put in evidence in that last it, like the1.00
00:14:08.420case is over it's just the penalty order but they brought in evidence uh of me saying a few days
00:14:15.320earlier talking about um i don't know my my appeal i guess and i was saying i said that you know all
00:14:22.32012 allegations are known to be true today and they still uh you know keep saying well there was no
00:14:30.020peer-reviewed studies when you said it so you didn't you know so i couldn't say it um but they
00:14:36.780couldn't say what they said either right i mean they couldn't say safe and effective they couldn't
00:14:41.880say wear a mask they couldn't say stand six feet apart because if there's no peer-reviewed studies
00:14:46.740then how can they say what they were saying to the public was true i mean it works both ways
00:14:54.020yeah but no right like no it doesn't so they got to put in all their fake evidence
00:15:00.900i mean their evidence it's not fake evidence it's peer-reviewed stuff but who is it funded
00:15:06.680by really yeah yeah um but yeah like i was saying like in the last day they put in a new that new
00:15:12.320evidence that i'm ungovernable because i'm still saying that what i said was true um and they said
00:15:18.560that you know ungovernable is the word used that gives them the capacity to revoke a license
00:15:24.900ungovernable yeah so i'm ungovernable how long were you a nurse and a member with licensed nurse
00:15:32.840and a member before all of this so i became a nurse in 2004 so about well you know 20 years if
00:15:40.760you count up to 2024 but i i stopped work well if you ask me my biggest best worst work as a nurse
00:15:48.520was advocating and after so i would say from 2004 to 2024 or 2023 like 19 years so 19 20 years and
00:15:58.280Only in the last few have you become ungovernable.
00:16:02.360Yeah, I was never ungovernable at work.
00:16:05.240And that's the whole problem, too, is that, you know, they're not used to a case like this.
00:16:09.640Usually the college, the case, the disciplinary hearings are about things that nurses did at work during their practice.
00:16:20.360So this is another thing they didn't really the nurses on the panel didn't really know how to deal with it or what rights really are when it comes to freedom of speech and the Charter of Rights.
00:16:31.720So this case is about. Yeah. So this this panel, I was just reading about it briefly before we came on.
00:16:38.940This this panel is made up of what is it like seven registered nurses?
00:16:43.800there's seven lpns and then there's a bunch of government employees as well upwards of 35 or 40
00:16:49.300members of the college i think it was like at the end there was less i think it was four registered
00:16:55.100nurses and two public members one which dropped out during the the case that that's the the committee
00:17:02.240that was trying you but the entire the entirety of the college is is a little bit larger than that
00:17:07.660and some of them are elected and some of them are not oh yeah definitely i'm just talking about like
00:17:12.660the panel right but obviously there was the other nurses like the head of the college and things
00:17:18.100like that so what were you saying and now i know what you were saying because i saw you guys when
00:17:23.320you came through winnipeg on your tour i think it was 2021 and you know i'll tell you a little
00:17:27.140story about that i remember because you know hospitals you were at health sciences center
00:17:31.460in winnipeg which is the largest hospital in the city it's huge it takes up i'm not sure eight to
00:17:37.96010 city blocks. You can never park around the place. And so I had to park maybe three or four
00:17:42.840blocks away. And I didn't get anywhere near the hospital. And I was thinking to myself,
00:17:47.320because I went to cover it. I'm thinking to myself, I hope there's some people there,
00:17:53.420because who knew? And then I turned the corner and I couldn't believe how many people there were
00:18:01.240there. There had to have been 3000 people there, because this was during the height of the
00:18:06.340lockdowns and the nonsense and the vaccine rollout and and people were fed up with it they were some
00:18:12.340of them were spilling into the streets the police were kindly asking them to get back onto the
00:18:16.360sidewalk which they did there was absolutely zero in the way of physical altercations but then the
00:18:21.660left-wing corporate media the very next day even though none of them were in attendance that day
00:18:26.540and i remember checking to see if cbc ctv global were there they weren't um they said that people
00:18:33.300were blocking the ambulance bays into the hospital, which was a complete lie. There was
00:18:39.400nobody near the ambulance bays. So that's how the left wing corporate media rolls. But getting back
00:18:45.220to my original point, I was so happy to see so many people to come out and support you guys on
00:18:51.380that noble mission that you were doing back during that ridiculous time in our lives. But you're still
00:18:56.160paying for it. So what did you say that got their attention? How did they even discover it? Were
00:19:02.420they monitoring your social media were you reported by by somebody what what happened there
00:19:07.200um at the beginning yes so what happened at the beginning i got in trouble at work first actually
00:19:13.660i i posted a few tweets or um a few things in a private facebook group of people like-minded
00:19:21.140people and i guess some troll um you know took a picture went to my profile i wasn't hiding that
00:19:27.140i was a nurse i didn't know i was doing anything wrong you're off duty first of all in a private
00:19:32.240group. Yeah. Yeah. So they took it went to head office right away. I was put under investigation.
00:19:38.380I was actually chief steward of the union where I work. So I was like, they didn't even want to
00:19:43.380tell me what I did. And I was like, you guys have to tell me. But at the same time, as they were
00:19:48.240investigating me, someone asked me if I wanted to speak at a protest. And I said yes. And I spoke
00:19:57.040on the weekend and I was fired on the Monday. Um, and I guess they had to report that to the
00:20:02.500college. Um, and so I guess, I guess that's when the college started following me, but, um, really
00:20:10.060our first investigation came through when we came back from Washington, DC, uh, in January, 2021.
00:20:17.600Um, and I know I was the one doing the social media. And so I believe that's why they came
00:20:23.520after me instead of like for kristin or you know who was a co-founder with me and or maybe because
00:20:30.660i also founded nurses against lockdown so started the uniting of the nurses which merged into the
00:20:36.340canadian frontline nurses but yeah like i said i was doing the social media and posting thousands
00:20:41.480of things so they found these 12 things that they thought they can get me with and so things like
00:20:48.840um the vaccines are not safe and effective uh you know this um compared the covid compared to
00:20:55.340cardiovascular disease is is um you know like not like it's not as as bad when you compare it to
00:21:04.220that like and so i was just telling people the pcr t pcr test is not a diagnosis test
00:21:09.700um i was saying there's alternatives i wasn't even saying it actually i said that you know masks are
00:21:15.940harmful for kids uh they took that from my speech but most of the stuff i posted was other doctors
00:21:21.960saying things it wasn't even me like i was just sharing things that other doctors said
00:21:27.640like the pandemics is a hoax uh dr hodgkinson had said that he had a video so i shared that video
00:21:34.380um things like that you all known to be true today so you were absolutely known to be true
00:21:43.600today, even though people still, you know, it's funny, Sean Buckley was on a few weeks ago and
00:21:48.500he said, Shadow, there's two bubbles. Well, there's more bubbles than two, but in this particular
00:21:53.520situation, there's two bubbles. There's a bubble of people who know what they know because they've
00:21:58.120done their research and they've read pages and pages and pages of the side effects of these
00:22:04.220vaccines from both Moderna and from Pfizer and how Dr. Fauci lied about masking and how he lied
00:22:11.540about six feet and we know this stuff and we're finding out more it seems like every single day
00:22:16.420but then there's this other bubble of people that still even to this day refuse to believe that
00:22:22.760there is anything wrong with these vaccines and that everything that happened the masking the
00:22:29.440social distancing the school closures people losing their jobs all of that stuff was the right
00:22:34.740thing to do to save lives and when you try to get into that bubble that other one0.98
00:22:41.040they look down on like you're some kind of scum between the fridge and the wall.0.98
00:22:55.040I'm sure you've had your fair share of that.0.99
00:34:47.800So $297,000, and this is an appeal, but now this process has been strictly between you and your legal defense and the Ontario College through hearings. Am I right in saying that?
00:55:01.880I'm just trying to figure out, obviously the cops didn't do this of their own accord,
00:55:12.180they couldn't care less, so they were ordered to do it. Where'd the order come from?
00:55:20.360Why? I mean, they're showing us who they are, again.
00:55:26.320inside the chamber where the allison inquiry was happening today day two today a bunch of
00:55:37.560testimony including michelle wharton this is a shorter clip you can find all of the long clips
00:55:44.300in their entirety at the allisoninquiry.com allisoninquiry.com or look them up on x or
00:55:51.440instagram here's michelle level of medical gaslighting i had never anticipated i received
00:56:00.080these injections because i was told they were safe and effective and coercion is not consent
00:56:07.040and then i'm injured and that's how i'm treated and we're here now in 2026
00:56:13.520I would spend my life in and out of the emergency room, being treated for migraines, laughed at, mocked at, condescending.
00:56:25.780So not only have I been diagnosed with multiple neurological and autoimmune conditions, I have roughly eight white matter brain lesions that continue to form.
00:56:36.260I have cystic masses in my liver, pancreas, cervix, breasts, brain.
00:56:46.260And as we fought for health care in Canada, ultimately in 2023, we had to resort to traveling to the United States.
00:56:56.020I presented with a brain cyst seven months after my second vaccination, which was causing brain compression.
00:57:02.160Ultimately, because of my symptoms and financial burden, I sold my dental practice, our assets
00:57:17.860were sold, all savings gone, and crowdfunding to pay for my life.
00:57:32.160and health care is free in Canada, $148,000.
01:02:04.620And then I asked for an autopsy, and he refused, and he said that they will not do an autopsy unless law enforcement or suspicious circumstances.
01:15:14.500Due to the fact that some plasmid-derived DNA fragments remain in the final product
01:15:18.900as a process-related impurity, the plasmid should not include unnecessary DNA regulatory elements.
01:15:25.880A minimum, these regulatory elements should have been disclosed initially.
01:15:31.860To be consistent with general manufacturing practices and to support vaccine acceptance,
01:15:37.260Health Canada strongly recommends the removal of unnecessary DNA elements from the backbone of plasmids to be used for the manufacture of Comirnaty vaccines for future SARS-CoV-2 variants.
01:15:49.800Health Canada's position was provided to the sponsor in a follow-up clarifact stated August 24th, 2023.
01:15:56.000However, the sponsor only agrees to further evaluate Health Canada's request.
01:16:01.680now there's been a lot of discussion about elected members of parliament who have not attended
01:16:11.440the allison inquiry which is most of them six all conservatives have attended so far
01:16:20.080i would suggest that by not attending they're showing us who they are
01:17:23.780do they feel it's politically damaging in some way?
01:17:31.640Pierre Polyev will not be attending one session of the Allison Inquiry because he's in New York.
01:17:41.140He went to New York to participate in ceremonies commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9-11 attacks on Friday.
01:17:50.220A trip that's being carried out with the blessing of the Prime Minister's office,
01:17:53.560according to a senior Conservative source.
01:17:56.080Oh, Mark Carney says it's okay, Pierre, you go ahead.
01:18:01.860I'm surprised I have not seen one comment so far over here that says Uniparty.
01:18:10.440Unifor, Canada's largest private sector union,
01:18:13.040says the federal government needs to be prepared to use
01:18:15.400every economic lever at its disposal to defend Canadian jobs, including the use
01:18:20.920of a federal law that's designed to protect businesses from foreign influence.
01:18:26.260They go into talking about trade talks.
01:18:28.700Poliev says he's going down there to speak to certain elected representatives of both
01:18:33.200parties, Democrat, Republican, state and federal, to see if he can find out what they're thinking
01:18:41.020So he can bring that news back to Mark Carney to help him position himself better in this trade war that he is responsible for between the United States and Canada.
01:18:55.840I'm not saying Donald Trump isn't culpable.
01:23:03.720That's not the story of a man who had never had a path.
01:23:07.940It's the story of a man who had a massive lead, could not change course when the country did,
01:23:12.940and needed the machine that elevated him to put him back in the house after the country had already
01:23:18.500rendered its verdict. What the Convoy Coalition is watching now is whether the man they raised
01:23:26.380still considers their fight unfinished, and this offered an answer. Conservative MP Dean Allison
01:23:32.520opened four days of hearings on Parliament Hill for Canadians who were injured by these vaccines.
01:23:36.920The Allison inquiry is unofficial parliamentary business and cannot compel witnesses, but it's
01:23:42.920also the only forum on the Hill that's given Canadians a fighting chance for accountability
01:23:47.940for the pandemic tyranny. Allison said he'd spoken to Polyev and had the caucus behind him, but0.54
01:23:53.580when the hearings began yesterday, Polyev was nowhere to be found.
01:23:57.800That's not an isolated lapse. It's how he now handles the files that once defined him.
01:24:05.160When Crown prosecutors asked for seven years for Tamara Leach and eight years for Chris Barber on
01:24:10.120mischief charges arising from the convoy, Polyev remained silent. Until accounts in the ecosystem,
01:24:16.540including ours, Wiretap Media, and many like mine as well, and other independent voices started
01:24:22.760beating the drum on social media that was impossible for the leader to ignore. And on July 21st,
01:24:28.640Polyev broke his silence. Chris Barber's own response cut through the spin. Thank you, Pierre.
01:24:33.660We've been waiting so long for elected officials to speak up.
01:24:38.580After the judge rejected prison and imposed house arrest,
01:24:42.860I think they're in their last month now,
01:24:44.420at least that's what Tamara was saying on social media,
01:24:48.260Paliyev simply wished the two political prisoners a peaceful life.
01:24:52.480He didn't treat the prosecution as a political warning
01:24:55.700to everyone who had stood in Ottawa in 2022.
01:24:58.620And he only commented once the pressure had already arrived.
01:25:03.660Speaking after you've been publicly dragged into it is not leadership, it's damage control.
01:25:09.820A politician who required outside pressure to defend the people whose protest helped make him
01:25:14.400leader is not demonstrating the courage that changes a country's direction. He's demonstrating
01:25:19.740that he will move when the base makes staying still more expensive than moving. The same
01:25:27.000caution shows up in the fights he will not pick. He'll talk about cutting wasteful foreign aid,
01:25:32.340but he'll not make a sustained case that Canada should stop writing large checks to a Ukrainian
01:25:37.660state repeatedly hit by corruption scandals. They're here again for more this week, by the
01:25:41.920way, the Ukrainians. Well, food bank use and housing costs at home keep rising. Ottawa has
01:25:47.840sent nearly 22 billion, well, it's more like 26 billion in various forms of assistance to Ukraine
01:25:52.500since 2022. And when a major procurement scandal erupted around Irnogotem in late 2025, the liberal
01:25:59.600government said it would keep sending support. And Polyev affirmed that conservatives will
01:26:06.160continue to stand with Ukraine's war effort, including a pledge to send frozen Russian
01:26:11.400assets to Kiev. That may be a defensible foreign policy position, but it's not the position of a
01:26:18.500politician willing to say out loud that Canadian households come first when the money is leaving
01:26:23.620the country, and the recipients are trucking the cash out the back door. Forcing Ottawa to defend
01:26:30.680every dollar sent abroad while households here fall further behind would have been the fight.
01:26:36.100He declined it. Immigration is the other file where the gap between volume and courage matters.
01:26:42.560He talks about it now, but he did not lead on it. And during the leadership race and well into 2023,
01:26:48.300he branded himself pro-immigration, said Canada needed more newcomers if they came lawfully and
01:26:53.500promised faster family reunification, easier routes from temporary work to permanent status
01:26:59.120and quicker recognition of foreign credentials. When asked whether he would cut liberal targets,
01:27:04.880he sidestepped. His party spent a long stretch telling candidates not to sound hard on the file
01:27:10.980and only after rents exploded, hospitals were packed and youth job numbers broke. And after
01:27:16.820nationalist brought truth to his base, did the vocabulary change. That's not a man who saw the
01:27:23.640experiment early and forced the country to face it. That's a man who held the consensus position
01:27:29.320until the coalition that put him in the job demanded a different one. Even now, the language
01:27:34.880is sanded down. Immigrants are not to blame. Liberal policy is. The goal is control and1.00
01:27:39.440absorption, not a reckoning with how fast the country was changed and what that did to wages,
01:27:44.500rents, wait times, social trust, social cohesion. For voters who wanted a leader who would name the
01:27:53.360scale of the experiment without waiting to be told, the current version still sounds like
01:27:58.240management after the fact. The pattern is repeated since the 2025 loss and the safer path is obvious.
01:28:05.880Keep the base warm with familiar lines. Shift the daily message towards kitchen table economics and
01:28:12.320tariffs, avoid looking like the radical candidate the country really needs. He remains opposition
01:28:19.120leader, still holds a vent, still attacks the government. What he has not done is force a
01:28:25.720different consensus. Floor crossings and by-election losses since the election only
01:28:30.540underline the problem. When your own MPs start calculating the other side looks like a better
01:28:35.680career bet, the brand has a problem no amount of common sense slogans will fix. Courage in
01:28:42.260the sense the convoy moment demanded, is not stamina in question period. It's the willingness
01:28:48.680to accept short-term costs to move the country's center of gravity on emergency powers, on who gets
01:28:54.100prosecuted, on who is heard when the mandates are over, on where Canadian money goes, and on how
01:28:59.940many people the country can actually house and employ and take care of. Paliyev tested that once
01:29:07.420when it was useful to his leadership campaign and he has been far more cautious since the votes
01:29:12.800were counted. The people who put him in the chair were not asking for a mascot. They were asking for
01:29:18.060a leader who would still fight for them when things got dirty. Instead, he rode their momentum,
01:29:24.460professionalized it, and then left them to eat shit and die. That, my friends, is a wonderful1.00
01:29:32.500piece from wiretapmedia.ca. Donald Trump ramping up retaliation as Canada's tariffs, retaliatory
01:29:41.940tariffs, came into effect yesterday. There's more here from Fox News.
01:29:47.080Escalating with Canada, the Trump administration turning up the pressure by
01:29:50.620banning some of the Canadian imports. Senior White House correspondent
01:29:53.800Peter Ducey is live with the details. Good morning, Peter.
01:29:57.480Good morning, Lawrence. And the law President Trump is using here lets a president
01:30:02.140ban products from countries that he or she thinks are discriminating against U.S. Commerce. It is
01:30:09.020section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930. And so now, as of September 9th, these Canadian products
01:30:15.600are just banned, cannot be shipped to the United States. It is some alcoholic beverages,
01:30:21.280some dairy products, and some large motorcycles from Canada. And if these Canadian products,
01:30:27.080and if other Canadian products, rather, are not outright banned,
01:30:29.860There are going to be 50% tariffs on things like cheeses and cheese substitutes, writing and drawing paper, iron or steel pillars, posts, beams and girders, aluminum bars, rods, tubes and pipes, furniture, mattresses and outboard motorboats.
01:30:47.140That's on top of existing tariffs on beer, wine, liquor, cider, natural honey, cements, ice hockey and field hockey equipment.
01:30:55.040The president is explaining his reasoning like this.
01:30:58.500The Canadian government, including Canadian provinces,
01:31:01.460have banned American small businesses and companies
01:31:03.660from selling into their government procurement markets.
01:31:06.940This is the case, even though Canada gets broad access
01:31:09.800into the massive American government procurement market.
01:41:46.960they can't do that that's illegal it's got to be well even if it was at one point they made it so
01:41:53.240that they could never mind the charter of rights and freedoms forget about that
01:41:58.120how easily did they completely and totally corrupt this country and worse still the people
01:42:09.740not all of them but a good percentage of people who live in it they believe that if they don't
01:42:16.440agree with something you're saying, that it's perfectly fine to shut you down.
01:42:24.360They don't believe in freedom of speech. And of all the freedoms that we have right now,
01:42:31.380that is probably the most important. Because without freedom of speech,
01:42:36.560all other freedoms are lost. Why? Because you can't talk about it anymore.
01:42:42.060mark carney made a statement on the visit of prime minister uh sorry president voldemir
01:42:51.400zelensky and first lady olina to canada uh the president of ukraine voldemir zelensky
01:43:00.380and the first lady of ukraine alina zelenska are visiting canada from september 9th to 11th
01:43:07.460The visit underscores Canada's continued leadership in supporting Ukraine and reflects our unwavering commitment to a just and lasting peace.
01:43:18.640The President and the First Lady will attend events in Calgary, Toronto and North Bay.
01:43:24.060Zelensky, sorry, President Zelensky, who, by the way, should have been out of office two years ago now, will also address cabinet members at the Cabinet Planning Forum in Banff.
01:43:32.740the visits program will focus on shared priorities between canada and ukraine
01:43:38.040including deepening defense economic and energy cooperation that means more billions of our
01:43:42.900dollars going out there you can bet it will also address the human cost of russia's war of
01:43:49.560aggression against ukraine and build on the strong people to people ties that connect our countries
01:43:55.540canada remains steadfast in our commitment to support ukraine's defense recovery and
01:44:02.060reconstruction. Carney also put out a video, I think it was today or last night, where he wants
01:44:08.380to deal now with trusted partners. Here it is. 40 years has been a period of deeper economic
01:44:17.180integration with the United States. Truth is, it was easy business, but it meant we relied too much
01:44:24.200on one economic partner. It's clear that time is over. This is why our plan since I came into
01:44:32.600office has been development and diversification, not denial, waiting to go back to some good old
01:44:39.240days and not continued dependence. For the past year and a half, we've been steering our economy
01:44:46.240towards trusted partners. We've signed 20 trade and defense agreements across four different
01:44:53.080continents these represent real opportunities for canadians and canadian businesses
01:44:57.800they're good for today and they're great for tomorrow and these are more than deals
01:45:03.160they're agreements deals privilege the few agreements benefit the many what the past 40
01:45:10.760years i'm not going to play that again what's the difference mark deal agreement same thing
01:45:17.720see this is what these guys do right like words salads well the difference between a deal and
01:45:23.220agreement is a lasting part what are you even talking about it's the same freaking thing
01:45:28.740it's the word play it drives me freaking crazy because it's condescending
01:45:35.160people like mark carney think of you and me and him and her as ants and if they step on a few of us
