00:08:31.260 canadananosilver.ca. That is canadananosilver.ca. One thing I want to show you guys, actually two
00:08:38.020 things from the same news story that has been going on in France for the past 12 days now,
00:08:46.560 The protests continue. The left wing corporate media wants you to believe these protests are basically over the pension age in France being raised from 60 to 62, or maybe it's 62 to 64.
00:08:58.500 But we know it's more than that. Have a look at this.
00:09:16.560 okay there's that and then there's this now this was in front of Blackrock
00:09:32.040 France headquarters in Paris watch what happens here
00:09:46.560 Good morning.
00:10:16.560 yeah so that's what's going on in paris right now the protests not only against president
00:10:29.100 emmanuel macron but blackrock a 10 trillion and i say that again 10 trillion dollar hedge fund
00:10:38.460 where is emmanuel macron in all this he's in china trying to convince xi jinping to convince
00:10:46.480 vladimir putin to stop his aggression against the ukraine and he has not received a warm welcome
00:10:55.680 over there i don't think macron wants to go back home anytime soon all right that's the only news
00:11:02.640 item i want to touch on tonight because i want to spend most of most of tonight's show with
00:11:06.480 tamara leach here she is tamara hello and thank you for coming on the show thank you so much for
00:11:11.560 having me it's about time yeah it is about time you and i have talked and texted a few times over
00:11:16.960 the past few weeks and this is the first chance we've had to get together and sit down and talk
00:11:21.240 and i by the way i wanted diane wanted to thank you and i wanted to thank you for uh sitting down
00:11:26.940 with her and having coffee that day a few weeks ago that was really nice of you she's lovely i
00:11:31.540 can't wait to see her again yeah well she's up in roblin right now and and you say you may be
00:11:37.820 coming to manitoba for a visit pretty soon so maybe we can hook up i sure hope so there's also
00:11:42.800 something coming up we're planning in the ester hazy saskatchewan yorkton saskatchewan area kind
00:11:49.080 of a party on the prairie sometime in july hopefully we can get a whole bunch of people
00:11:52.740 together anyway um yes i i want to ask you because i put like i was saying at the top of the show
00:11:59.320 i put up a promo post for your appearance on the show tonight and it was seen 40 000 times
00:12:06.680 on facebook alone between then and now and i noticed in the comment section there was a bunch
00:12:12.560 of trolls that came in and started bad-mouthing you and and these are supposedly people who are
00:12:19.080 on our side the side of freedom the side of you know truth and it bothered me some so i engaged
00:12:26.440 with a couple of them on my own to see exactly how real they were they're not they're just bots
00:12:32.720 and the easy way friends to tell if bots are invading a stream is because they don't have a
00:12:40.540 profile really they've got a photo of maybe a truck they're trying to look like they support
00:12:44.960 our side but there's nothing to their profile they don't have a history they don't have any
00:12:50.380 personal information there's nothing about this person at all that's how you can tell you click
00:12:56.000 on their profile so you know i don't know if it's real people spewing the vitriol that these things
00:13:02.000 spew, or if it's just automated AI, whatever it is, but do you get that a lot still?
00:13:08.900 Well, not really, because I'm not allowed on social media. So that works out quite well for
00:13:14.220 me, actually. What about in person? I mean, you still have to live your life, right? Yeah,
00:13:19.280 I do. A bunch of people out there, Tamara, who love you to death, like crazy. But there's also
00:13:26.400 people still on the other side who think that you're a villain. And this must be a weird
00:13:32.320 existence for you ever since all of this. It sure is. Actually, my MLA put it very nicely. There
00:13:38.300 really doesn't seem to be an in-between with me anymore. You either, what did he say? He said,
00:13:44.860 you either worship the ground you walk on or they wish you would just fall over and die. Like there's
00:13:50.280 really no in between right um I've been very fortunate I don't people are a lot more brave
00:13:57.000 when they are behind their cell phone or sitting at their computer I've only actually had like
00:14:02.340 three people ever actually say something to me that was negative everything else I get is I get
00:14:08.980 a lot of love I get a lot of gratitude um I'm I'm blessed and and lucky I guess that I don't
00:14:15.240 have to see a lot of that stuff on social media right isn't it amazing though like the people who
00:14:20.140 will spew this crap at you online and again you're right you're not on social media so that you can't
00:14:25.480 see it which is good but I mean the people that do that behind their keyboards as opposed to the 0.98
00:14:30.080 ones who actually have the nerve to come up to your face and say it to you what were those
00:14:34.600 experiences like those real life experiences were these people just out of control not at all no
00:14:40.240 actually the two incidents happened right in Ottawa when we were there for the convoy there
00:14:45.120 was a gentleman that was across the street from our hotel and I saw him kind of looking at me
00:14:49.900 like he obviously stopped and recognized me and then he started crossing the street but he started
00:14:55.660 crossing the street away from me and uh he yelled something and I just said thanks have a nice day
00:15:02.780 and he yells back no I don't support you and I said that's okay have a nice day anyway
00:15:09.060 and then another lady um told me to go home as I was coming out of another hotel there
00:15:16.660 and then the last time happened when I was at the inquiry in Ottawa and I got on the elevator I just
00:15:24.140 jumped in actually with this guy just last minute and this man was standing in there and he we're
00:15:30.700 just writing up you know I'm just looking at my phone and he says you tortured my daughter and I
00:15:36.640 said excuse me and he said you tortured my daughter she was sick for three days and your
00:15:43.440 horns tortured her for three days and i said i'm sorry sir i said i didn't even have a vehicle here
00:15:49.340 like i had absolutely no horn to honk and he said well you brought them here and i said well and he
00:15:56.320 got up goes to get off the elevator and i said well sir i'm sorry have a good night and he told
00:16:01.500 me to f off and then of course i saw him every single day after that pretty much right so you
00:16:11.400 You were at the Public Order Emergency Commission.
00:16:14.780 I was almost every day, yeah.
00:16:16.460 Yeah, you were testifying.
00:16:17.540 And I know that you were in the crowd, let's call it.
00:16:20.600 And the day that Trudeau was on the stand, I want to ask you this.
00:16:24.140 He got up there and he lied to our faces.
00:16:27.160 I never insulted Canadians or something to that regard.
00:16:31.480 I'm paraphrasing.
00:16:32.100 And we heard a very audible, oh, from the crowd.
00:16:36.420 Was that you?
00:16:37.380 No.
00:16:39.940 That sounds like Tamara.
00:16:41.100 I've now spent enough time in courtrooms that I know that you don't speak unless you're spoken to.
00:16:46.460 What was that experience like?
00:16:48.260 I mean, being there and testifying and seeing all those people, those mortal enemies.
00:16:53.320 And I don't want to call them that because it sounds so combative, but they are what they are.
00:16:59.140 People like Trudeau and all of the ministers that came in.
00:17:02.520 What was that experience like?
00:17:04.320 Were they treated deferentially?
00:17:05.920 Did they get special treatment there or were they like anybody else?
00:17:09.880 Well, they got after the first few MPs came in, they they did start bringing them in like side doors and back doors and stuff like that.
00:17:19.940 Honestly, out of all the MPs, the federal MPs anyways, I thought Trudeau performed the best of the inquiry.
00:17:27.100 And I was surprised because he'd been out of country. So I was surprised at how well prepped he was for that.
00:17:33.340 Not that I ever want to give him any kudos, but, you know, normally he's just a mumbling fool. 0.96
00:17:38.280 so so he actually came out you know um and it but it was so you know some of the things that 0.92
00:17:45.300 he said like that were crazy and and uh i made sure at the inquiry that i sat pretty much
00:17:52.360 directly behind his lawyer so that every time he looked at his lawyer he had to look at my 0.96
00:17:58.520 little terrorist face my little racist terrorist face what are your conditions still or can you 0.94
00:18:06.400 even say what they are i i don't know how muzzled you are yeah well obviously the no social media 0.98
00:18:12.120 i'm not allowed to log into social media i'm not allowed to post on social media and i'm not allowed 0.85
00:18:18.820 to ask somebody to post on my behalf so for example my husband has a facebook account so if
00:18:25.640 i said hey babe can you just go on and let everybody know that i'm doing a fine and say hi
00:18:31.080 that would land me in jail wow yeah so uh no social media of course i have no contact orders
00:18:38.360 with chris barber danny bulford pat king uh james bowder i think and some people that i don't know
00:18:46.280 which is quite funny you mean people you've never met before yes like there's names on my
00:18:51.780 non-contact list i don't even know who they are so um i also am not allowed um in the little red
00:18:59.360 zone in downtown ottawa i'm not the red zone was that was that established after the emergencies
00:19:05.860 act was declared yeah it was kind of like the downtown core where parliament is i'm not at
00:19:11.040 first i wasn't even allowed in ontario could you imagine being banned from ontario that's a pretty
00:19:16.720 big province it's a pretty big yeah yeah you should you should have gone and tried to sneak
00:19:21.460 in at one of the borders in the north or something that'd be hey wait a minute that's
00:19:25.040 You can't keep me out of Ontario.
00:19:29.320 You know, I've often wondered, I'm sure you've asked this question to your your legal team.
00:19:35.360 How are they able how are these judges able to get away with putting these conditions on people when they're clearly breaching the Charter of Rights and Freedoms?
00:19:43.200 It astounds me.
00:19:44.760 I ask that question every day.
00:19:46.400 i i i don't know how somebody like in my case for example like i've never even been in facebook
00:19:54.540 jail before let alone you know a detention center so i mean i have a really hard time
00:20:02.380 with these with these conditions because i haven't even been found guilty of a crime yet
00:20:08.200 and i haven't even been told what i chris and i are still waiting for our particulars
00:20:12.860 the crown prosecutor there has to be a incident right and he hasn't even told us that yet are
00:20:20.120 they trying to drag this out do you think i think absolutely yep yeah because chris was on last week
00:20:25.400 saying the same thing he says i i don't even realize i say how do you live man and i didn't
00:20:30.420 mean to say how do you live with yourself because that would sound like he did something wrong but
00:20:34.040 how do you live every day with this sword hanging over your head and he actually had a great answer
00:20:40.380 He says, I just get up every day and get into Big Red and go to work.
00:20:43.740 What about you?
00:20:45.800 Same thing.
00:20:46.640 I'm one foot in front of the other.
00:20:48.260 And, you know, Chris and I had a saying on the way to Ottawa last winter, and that was eye on the prize.
00:20:53.860 Keep your eye on the prize.
00:20:55.840 You know what?
00:20:56.560 I think it's going to go by really quickly.
00:20:59.420 This trial will be over before we know it, and then we can just continue on with life.
00:21:04.700 What are your lawyers saying?
00:21:06.140 I mean, do they even have a case, the government?
00:21:08.340 Well, they seem to think they do. And that's just the situation, isn't it? I mean, we don't have a we don't have a justice system in Canada, we have a legal system, there's a big, big difference. So there's a lot of things that have happened in my case that the lawyers were surprised about. I mean, look at the first my first two bail hearings, you know, like, like I was both of those justices tore one strip off me, you know, up one side and down the other.
00:21:35.100 and you know called me basically a menace to society and a danger to their community
00:21:40.100 like really i'm five feet tall i'm a danger to no one yeah and i'm a grandma yeah so
00:21:48.500 let's go back let's go back i don't mean to the day you were born but let's go back
00:21:53.740 to 2019 before all of this started i know that you worked for the maverick party in alberta for a bit
00:22:00.900 I'm not sure how long that was. I'm not sure exactly what you did, but were you a political
00:22:05.160 person in terms of like getting out there and, and supporting candidates and working hard to
00:22:11.860 get somebody elected? Or were you just one of these people who was like, you know, I don't
00:22:15.500 like Justin Trudeau. No, I, I actually went out and got involved. Um, I sought out a local group
00:22:22.760 in town here to, to, so that we could start, I don't know, protesting or rallying or doing
00:22:27.900 something, start a letter writing campaign, you know, especially during the Bill C-69 and C-48
00:22:32.960 times. And I met a beautiful group of people here. And then through that, the Alberta provincial
00:22:39.920 election came up and I worked with our local MLA here and joined his campaign as a volunteer to
00:22:45.620 help. And then, of course, the 2019 federal election saw Trudeau get reelected. And that's
00:22:53.760 when i joined or became a volunteer with wexit and then we eventually morphed into the maverick
00:23:00.160 party and i was on the board of directors but i've never like ran as a candidate or anything like
00:23:05.500 that yeah but i mean let's just say that you're you're not into the political establishment no
00:23:11.900 no you're just an activist and not even really an activist more of a volunteer so exactly it's not
00:23:18.880 like you stood out from the crowd in any way before that not to say that you wouldn't stand
00:23:23.560 out for other reasons but in this particular way it wasn't like you were you know being looked at
00:23:28.820 as some kind of a problem or anything at all right not to my knowledge but not that i would know some
00:23:37.260 other people might have it yeah exactly yeah no no i was never yeah i don't think so i mean i did a
00:23:42.320 little bit of media here when we were having rallies and stuff like that and you know we did
00:23:46.420 that little mini convoy i think if you remember in 2019 when united river all headed out there
00:23:52.020 was a lot of communities doing local convoys and so you know i helped organize that local one also
00:23:57.320 and did a bit of media there so but but overall no i was i'm just i'm a no one i'm just a just a
00:24:05.220 woman from medicine hat that loves her country that's it yeah anymore you're not so when did
00:24:12.260 you first realize this was a scam and i'm talking about the reaction the government reaction to this
00:24:19.100 so-called pandemic because everybody's got a different story but when they first woke up for
00:24:23.280 me it was like the second they said 14 days to flatten the curve I went what how are you going
00:24:29.840 to flatten any curves in 14 this is at if this is a worldwide pandemic it's going to be longer than 0.98
00:24:35.380 14 days you lying sons of bitches right for me personally that's what that was and then I went 0.99
00:24:41.560 okay I got to dig more into this I had people sending me emails and I dumped jumped down 1.00
00:24:46.500 different rabbit holes and finally I went okay I know what this is now and things just became more
00:24:51.760 clear and more clear what about you well I felt something wasn't right immediately because it was
00:24:58.160 just fear porn 24 7 which I and I thought that was a bit over the top I mean you don't normally
00:25:03.240 see stuff like that and um as it wore on and I've said this before in interviews everyone was saying
00:25:12.260 the same thing and it didn't matter if you were like a full-on you believe that COVID was going
00:25:16.340 to kill all of humanity or you felt that it didn't even exist everybody said the same thing
00:25:22.180 and that was that something doesn't feel right and that was all of our collective intuition if you
00:25:27.880 will right um and then as it progressed and the and the propaganda just got more and more and then
00:25:34.580 we went from hey everyone vaccines are going to be ready soon we're going to get a bit to the
00:25:39.600 most vulnerable first to take this vaccine or you're going to lose your effing job and you're
00:25:46.160 not going to be able to see your family like it just went and i watched this almost like in slow
00:25:52.280 motion happening this whole narrative you know it was unsettling and and um i just felt immediately
00:26:02.260 like taking kids out of school sending people home from work you know did you talk to other
00:26:09.260 people about it at that time or did you just something you kind of kept to yourself oh no i
00:26:14.660 I mean, of course, at the office we were talking about it and my friends, my group of friends, we talked about it.
00:26:21.980 I think everybody was talking about it constantly, honestly.
00:26:25.420 Yeah.
00:26:25.860 But I mean, what were their perspectives as compared to yours?
00:26:28.700 Was everybody so fearful that they wanted to just stay home?
00:26:32.200 Because the first lockdown was really a pajama party for the entire world, right?
00:26:36.140 Yes.
00:26:36.580 And then the next one is when, you know, I remember here in Manitoba, it was funny because we got through the first two or three months of it.
00:26:44.660 without really being impacted at all there were no cases in manitoba and i asked a friend of mine
00:26:49.600 i said and i said this on the show last night i said well how come there's no cases in manitoba
00:26:54.680 when there's cases in alberta bc and they're going through the roof ontario quebec what's going on
00:26:59.260 here uh just lucky i guess but put your mask on and this was before masks were even a thing in
00:27:05.940 terms of mandates and i thought oh my god this is a smart man who has been brainwashed he really
00:27:13.060 believes yeah he really believes what's going on so was that the atmosphere that you were starting
00:27:18.700 to to sense around you well there there was a few friends of mine that were and i'll and i'll be
00:27:23.840 honest like even i was alarmed too at first because we just didn't know what was coming you
00:27:27.380 know we're watching videos from china apparently with people just falling over and dying in the
00:27:31.620 streets and getting like welded into their apartments and you know we saw some pretty
00:27:36.400 crazy footage um there was you know a few people that were scared and wanted to stay home
00:27:42.080 but the circles that I run in primarily people felt like something was up something didn't feel
00:27:48.460 right and they were kind of watching what was happening with a lot of skepticism and
00:27:52.720 some critical thinking skills so as we move along then I mean that's like March of 2020 and the
00:27:59.600 convoy happens January late January of 2022 so between March of 2020 and January of 2022 what
00:28:08.760 were you doing? I was actually living in Manitoba. You were here? I love yeah so my husband and I
00:28:16.520 lost our jobs obviously with the shutdowns and the downturn and so we after they locked down
00:28:21.860 Medicine Hat was a ghost town I mean a ghost town and so we packed up and went to visit my daughter
00:28:27.820 in Manitoba and then ended up got there found out she was expecting came home and packed up stuff
00:28:35.800 for a long stay and we ended up being out there for 19 months wow so you were here working on the
00:28:40.700 farm yeah well you know they they live on a farm out there so we thought well we may as well go
00:28:44.620 and be productive and you know be with family and you know other than we would have been cooped up
00:28:50.540 inside of our house here in medicine hat this got us outside and you know so and it was great
00:28:56.500 why did you lose your jobs well because of the restrictions because of the mandates that were
00:29:02.080 coming in and then also there was a downturn in the energy sector and both of us worked in oil
00:29:07.040 and gas at that time right thanks to justin trudel i don't think there was a downturn in the energy
00:29:11.840 sector as much as there was like a uh a designed downturn in the energy sector at least as far as
00:29:18.260 canada's concerned so you were here were you here when the convoy first started how did you get
00:29:22.460 involved with these folks well and in november of uh sorry yeah november it just seems to me like
00:29:29.940 if you're sitting on a farm in manitoba you're not even in winnipeg you're like three hours or
00:29:35.620 four hours north of winnipeg i mean like how how would you have gotten involved with this thing
00:29:39.640 that originated i think in ontario that's the first i heard of it with bridget there i saw her
00:29:45.120 her telegram video and i went huh that's interesting i saw some slow rolls happening
00:29:50.560 in manitoba and the very next day todd mcdougall from winnipeg alternative media called me up and
00:29:56.220 said dude there's something happening there's there's trucks moving and or they're getting
00:30:01.140 together in bc or alberta or something and you were here yeah how does that well no i we moved
00:30:08.040 back to alberta in november of 2021 we actually both were offered our old jobs back as things
00:30:13.600 started opening up so we ended up moving back in november and it's quite funny because we moved
00:30:20.220 into this house a week before christmas and then um three weeks i guess after that is when the
00:30:28.460 convent january 14th i believe was the day i started the facebook page in the gofundme
00:30:33.280 i literally called chris barber on the 13th of january never met him before never talked to him
00:30:39.300 before um and then that's how it started so i met chris for the first time when they came to
00:30:45.520 medicine hat to pick us up to head to ottawa just so but how did you personally get involved in this
00:30:53.760 i called chris yeah you did so a friend of mine sent me chris's video the one that he did about
00:31:00.000 the shutdown on january 23rd of that year and it was funny because she sends me this video back
00:31:06.080 when i had messenger and i watched it and i said well what do you think about a convoy and she just
00:31:12.500 well it didn't really work last time and I'm like yeah you're right and then I asked another friend
00:31:16.560 of mine from Manitoba actually I sent him the video and I said the same thing and he goes well
00:31:21.780 I don't know kind of it's been done I'm like yeah and then I talked to Chris I had gotten Chris's
00:31:28.360 number and I talked to him and yeah they've been talking about slow rolls or a convoy whatever
00:31:33.460 and I just said okay well I'm in these are my skills what can I do to help you guys you're
00:31:41.620 going to need money to get to ottawa you're going to need like places to stay you're going to need
00:31:45.840 you're going to need social media and that's how i got involved so that's how you became
00:31:51.600 one of the organizers yes per se right interesting because that's a lot of did you realize
00:31:57.880 what you were getting yourself into here no and i certainly not to the length that you became who
00:32:05.160 you are today when you say the name Tamera Leach people go wow or right as we talked about at the
00:32:11.900 beginning of the show but I mean like what I'm asking is did you think that this was going to
00:32:17.000 become as big as it did were there signs of that happening well there was immediately but not before
00:32:23.760 we started um I this was definitely a case of you know did not see that coming um it was three days
00:32:32.360 before we left medicine hat before I even decided that I was going to be able to go like I looked at
00:32:37.720 my husband on Friday you know I don't know what the donations were at I think we were over a million
00:32:42.780 dollars and um and I was already becoming recognizable at this point because I was
00:32:48.640 doing these lives so that people knew or felt like they could know me and trust you know that
00:32:53.480 i was going to manage their donations properly excuse me and um yeah i looked at my husband
00:33:02.600 friday morning and i said i i think i got to go to ottawa and so you know that's yeah how that
00:33:09.220 wasn't even planning to go what did he say well he agreed yeah sure you know yeah yeah yeah you
00:33:17.600 know and looking back on it you know what what a thing like he probably had no idea how this was
00:33:25.840 all gonna work you know like did you even know what you were like when because i know as the
00:33:33.500 convoys were coalescing around the country from the east towards ottawa from the west towards
00:33:39.740 ottawa from the ontario all points of ontario getting to ottawa did you even have an understanding
00:33:45.260 at that point of where you were going and what you would be doing there well initially the job
00:33:52.700 was to just to get there and you know chris and i talked about that on the way too like we
00:33:59.000 there was a team on the ground thank goodness in ottawa that was getting infrastructure set up
00:34:03.340 there and so you know you know the beautiful thing about the whole situation shadow is that
00:34:09.600 it was honestly a bunch of strangers who just came together and made this work you know we
00:34:16.280 didn't know anybody on that team in in ottawa but we just trusted that when we got there you know
00:34:23.020 it was going to be looked after we had no idea you know i said to chris on the way we don't know
00:34:28.020 what we're walking into like we don't know if we're going to get arrested we don't know if we're
00:34:32.100 going to get shot i mean we you know neither one of us i mean i wasn't i was at parliament hill
00:34:37.420 when i was six years old but you know that was quite a while ago so i had no idea what to even
00:34:44.440 gonna look like you know yeah yeah and and the media was or the left wing i refer to them always
00:34:50.340 as the left-wing corporate media or the marxist media they're not mainstream so they weren't
00:34:56.060 talking about it at all even though we were monitoring you know people like myself and
00:35:01.040 wayne peters from what's up canada and sean newman you know all these guys were monitoring
00:35:05.240 we're watching what's happening as the trucks continue to cross the country and the convoys
00:35:10.440 seem to get bigger. I went out to the Flying J here in Winnipeg to see you guys come past
00:35:16.240 and I couldn't believe how many people turned up. They filled the parking lot, so they pushed you
00:35:21.880 guys further to fuel up, I think, on the other side of the city. And we had the Hutterites down
00:35:29.180 there feeding you guys with sandwiches and whatever else they had. And I thought, wow,
00:35:33.560 if it's like this everywhere if it's as exciting as this in every port that these guys stop along
00:35:40.860 the way this momentum is going to grow and grow and grow to the point where there is no way the
00:35:46.480 government's going to be able to stop it and coming through winnipeg and i'm sure chris i actually i
00:35:55.400 think he told you the same thing i mean that was astonishing the amount of people that were there
00:36:02.980 and after we left saskatchewan you know we had a few conversations where we weren't sure what
00:36:09.820 the support was going to be like the farther east we got you know what i mean and then when we got
00:36:14.980 close to headingly oh my gosh like i it was one of the most beautiful sights i've ever seen and it
00:36:22.280 went all the way around the city the perimeter there like it was it was amazing shadow absolutely
00:36:30.940 amazing what was it like as you went further east the same you know i don't think i don't know i
00:36:37.700 don't think we ever got the crowds that we got in winnipeg so i would definitely say that manitoba
00:36:41.440 won all right but uh yeah um but it was so cold that day too i remember it was like minus 35 it
00:36:48.500 was ridiculous it was and we were always late yeah always late but um yeah even as the farther east
00:36:59.220 we got there was still like people and overpasses and along the highways and the towns you know
00:37:03.880 it was it's such an experience so how did the leadership group tamara come together once you
00:37:10.660 arrived in ottawa did you guys immediately go all right we're going right downtown then or was there
00:37:15.580 some kind of a concerted okay no we're going to park out here and then we're going to get our
00:37:19.260 bearings and make a plan tomorrow something like that well we uh met an arm prior so that's where
00:37:25.320 i got to meet bridget for the first time was because she she'd beat us to earn prior so that's
00:37:29.700 where i got to meet her for the first time and um um we parked all the trucks and on prior on the
00:37:36.020 friday night and then went back and got them or those who stayed there obviously just got up and
00:37:40.800 then we drove into ottawa the next day and when you got like all the trucks went in all at the
00:37:46.900 same time yeah and this was with the help of what opp and ottawa police service yep yep okay so there
00:37:53.900 was no barricades there was like was there ever any static from them at all was there ever any
00:37:58.180 problems never at that point honestly the opp beginning to end were absolutely an amazing
00:38:06.080 organization i don't have enough kind things to say about them so you got to ottawa where are we
00:38:12.920 going to stay now right that must be am i staying in a hotel am i staying in the back of barbara's
00:38:17.420 truck like where am I gonna sleep well my parents drove the pilot the lead pilot truck that that led
00:38:24.980 the convoy from here to Ottawa so my mom had booked a room thank goodness and then we all
00:38:31.020 ended up being I I don't know who was looking after all that stuff I just know that we got
00:38:35.000 there and I had a room like I don't know who had all that stuff organized but it was amazing and
00:38:40.920 you know because Chris and I laugh I mean we were in the truck together for like five days
00:38:46.560 and some days it was like if we had five minutes to actually have a conversation it was a miracle
00:38:51.520 because I was on the phone he was taking calls I'm doing an interview he's doing an interview
00:38:58.400 you know what I mean people are calling to see how they can help I had the finance committee
00:39:03.940 and the social media committee here I was dealing with and organizing things on the ground for when
00:39:09.140 we got there so you know it was crazy we were really busy so how did it coalesce once you
00:39:16.400 arrived in ottawa i mean did you take action yourself or were there other people who were
00:39:21.480 saying all right this is what we need to do now yeah yeah there was tons and tons of people so
00:39:26.160 we got uh well the first day that we got there we're really just on the hill talking to people
00:39:31.800 and then we went back to our rooms and then a lot of these different organizations were all staying
00:39:37.000 at the same hotel which was quite nice so you know we could have meetings all the time and discuss
00:39:42.060 what we were going to do or what needed to be done um so for example the first weekend we got
00:39:46.680 in there we were really worried about antifa coming out so and that's that's again the beautiful thing
00:39:52.840 about the whole situation was that a problem would arise and we would just look after it or you know
00:39:59.140 a job would come up where we needed somebody with a certain specific skill set and all of a sudden
00:40:03.740 that person would walk through the door you know like it was it was just magic that way i have a
00:40:09.520 specific set of skills liam neeson walked through the door uh so i wish so so when does tom marasso
00:40:18.140 come into the picture because it's you and chris and i think pat king too and i do want to talk to
00:40:22.320 you about pat at some point uh in the show here tonight because people have been asking why did
00:40:27.120 you throw pat king under the bus and i don't recall you ever doing that i think there was an
00:40:30.980 offhand comment you made uh that was caught on tape but i don't think that there was ever any
00:40:35.460 intentional effort to throw him under the bus hey well you know well let's take care of that now i
00:40:40.420 mean okay what is the situation with with pat king i know he's still under conditions i know he's got
00:40:46.440 different conditions than the ones you have he can't speak at all right now but was there a rift
00:40:52.860 in the relationship between the organizing committee or just between individuals and pat
00:40:58.980 what exactly happened well you know pat is a pretty um controversial figure he likes to push
00:41:06.340 buttons um i i was not friends with pat i didn't know him personally before the convoy
00:41:12.520 and i did have concerns just because of his reputation um we did have a bit of a disagreement
00:41:19.280 just prior to getting into ottawa where you know i requested that he just didn't come into ottawa
00:41:26.020 period okay that's what i was talking about there that that one thing that was caught on video
00:41:30.000 somewhere but i mean it just didn't sound to me like it was that big a deal no and it's not and
00:41:36.000 you know what regardless of what anybody thinks about pat or pat's behavior he's not a criminal
00:41:43.100 you know he did that guy did five months in jail yeah you know like and maybe he doesn't always
00:41:51.940 you know use the proper articulation or you know he's a little hot-headed and emotional but i don't
00:41:59.000 think he's a bad guy i don't think he has nefarious intentions you know he may go about it different
00:42:05.700 but i he's just as concerned for canada as the rest of us i think i mean i'm not allowed to speak
00:42:10.860 to him either you know yeah all of us are on the same side here and and something that you know i
00:42:16.500 was talking about a little bit at the beginning of our conversation was you know when you get
00:42:21.020 these trolls that insert themselves into online conversations and they're so bold online but then
00:42:26.180 face to face they're not um you know you have people who are trying to create rifts within our
00:42:32.200 movement you've noticed that i'm sure oh yes what message would you have to people like that
00:42:38.260 well i think specifically tamara the ones the ones who are accusing you of being
00:42:48.640 controlled opposition which i find funny oh i know it's all funny honestly shadow every single
00:42:55.360 person that has been involved in this doesn't matter who you are has at one time been accused
00:42:59.940 of being a plant or paid opposition or an agitator you know they said the same thing about
00:43:06.040 tom razzo when he came in you know and tom's like one of the most trustworthy um integral guys i've
00:43:13.580 ever met you know what i mean so you know i guess i guess my i don't pay attention to that stuff or
00:43:20.220 i try not to with any sort of seriousness because you know in world war ii or world war one or any
00:43:30.000 war they're all the soldiers on one side don't get along they all don't have the exact same
00:43:35.520 ideologies and the exact same beliefs they put their egos aside and they get the job done and
00:43:41.600 And I think that's what needs to happen at this point.
00:43:44.040 I mean, the infighting is disappointing.
00:43:48.820 It's unnecessary.
00:43:51.200 And people should maybe prioritize how they should be expending their energy.
00:43:56.980 Because we have a country to save here.
00:43:58.940 That's worth saving.
00:44:00.440 And it's bigger than you and it's bigger than me.
00:44:02.940 Yeah.
00:44:03.320 You know, it's interesting.
00:44:04.280 I find that people tend to follow one figure almost religiously.
00:44:09.100 whether it's on the other side like dr fauci or whether it's on our side you know they'll go and
00:44:14.460 again i'm not bad-mouthing pat king at all i know he's got a or had a huge following before
00:44:19.720 all of his conditions were laid out and he couldn't run his social media channels anymore
00:44:24.540 but we can't in in my opinion put all of our eggs in that one basket and listen to whatever
00:44:31.420 that person says as the gospel right everybody everybody is subject to questioning and if they're
00:44:38.180 not that makes them untouchable and then we've got a whole new problem aside from losing our
00:44:45.080 freedom now we're you know praying to this one person who's going to save us from everything
00:44:50.200 and that's not the case either we all need to answer these questions and we all need to put
00:44:54.840 our egos at the door i think and we all need to take responsibility i mean this country didn't
00:45:00.280 get this way by accident right so i mean and i think i said that in my first speech at the hill
00:45:06.600 when we got there you know Canadians have to take some responsibility for all this too because they 0.50
00:45:11.640 started taking little freedoms away little bits at a time and we just all sat around and waited 0.99
00:45:16.380 thought somebody else was going to fix the problem and this is a problem too that I'm finding
00:45:22.800 there are people who watch this show every single night and I'm not going to say all of them I'm a
00:45:27.860 very small percentage of them watch the show every single night but have never been out to a rally
00:45:33.280 And I'm not saying that you absolutely have to go to a rally, but they've never really done anything like, you know, emailed an MLA or an MP or even a local mayor or city councilor or Reeve or anything like that.
00:45:46.980 They just sit back and they're they're hoping for somebody who's going to come in on a on a white stallion and save the day.
00:45:52.520 And we're the ones that have to do that. And what you've done is show incredible courage in the face of I can't even believe the immense opposition that you faced and the vitriol and name calling, not just from certain factions of our side of things, but from the other side.
00:46:10.400 I mean, what was it like in your dealings with the left wing corporate media when you got to Ottawa?
00:46:17.340 Well, I've been with you.
00:46:19.940 Yeah. Oh, yeah. Some of them were.
00:46:22.160 yeah well one glenn guy from ctv what's his name glenn mcgregor terrible he used to be a dj at a
00:46:30.260 strip club so he's working on up to ctv now so you know i'm not sure if that's a promotion or not 0.93
00:46:38.580 now he's a respected journalist yes that's right yeah he was a bully and just terrible um
00:46:45.660 we've had a few encounters with that guy i i've been following what's been happening with the
00:46:51.720 mainstream media for a long time so nothing that they did surprise me i fully expected if this got
00:46:58.200 any traction that we were going to be called a racist because that's the immediate go-to i mean
00:47:02.640 that's the first word out of their mouth and and i kind of laughed and i and uh um one of the one of
00:47:12.000 the um text messages uh the cn tower of evidence that they were talking about i think it was was
00:47:20.900 me talking about the race card. And, and I was being kind of facetious because, you know,
00:47:27.560 they're calling me a racist and you're this and you're that. And they had no idea that I am a
00:47:31.880 card carrying Métis woman. So bring it on, you know. You know, I found that funny because when 0.99
00:47:41.900 we, I didn't know that either. I mean, you're, you're blonde haired, blue eyes. I think they're
00:47:46.500 blue i mean so you wouldn't you wouldn't go thinking that okay this woman is metis or native
00:47:52.300 by any stretch of the imagination you haven't got that look maybe your cheekbones now if i look a
00:47:56.420 little bit a little bit higher but um when they found that out they didn't say anything about it
00:48:03.740 they didn't retract their remarks and i found that yeah it's so disingenuous to me you know
00:48:10.920 they're going to sit there and call you racist and and then you say wait a minute i'm metis look
00:48:14.980 the card i've got here i'm i'm actually and they did not correct themselves and they continued on
00:48:21.700 like that were there any instances where you saw the media filming certain things they wanted to
00:48:27.500 capture on the streets of ottawa as opposed to what was really going on i didn't really witness
00:48:33.440 any of that no no i didn't but but i saw like i didn't witness it personally but i did see i think
00:48:39.320 it's the uh famous cbc um report that they did where the cbc cameraman was like facing the other
00:48:46.080 direction where there was hardly anybody and then if you would have swung the other way like it was
00:48:50.260 the street was packed full of people yeah but i didn't see any of any of that but i noticed
00:48:55.640 anyways there was so many people there shadow like what would you say i mean like i'm pretty
00:49:00.820 good at counting crowds but i wasn't there we were doing our own thing here in manitoba we had a
00:49:04.680 smaller version of what you guys were doing but uh you know i've heard anywhere between
00:49:08.980 and and it depended on the day too right on a thursday maybe it wouldn't have been so
00:49:14.200 packed there but definitely it would be on a friday night or a saturday were people treating
00:49:19.240 it like a big party on weekends exactly what was going on did you get out there a lot party on the
00:49:25.300 weekends i didn't get out there a lot i mean i i didn't get out there as much as i wished i could
00:49:30.120 but obviously when we first got there I was in meetings with the lawyers and GoFundMe and the
00:49:35.120 accountant all the time and you know like that was our priority number one and that took up the bulk
00:49:40.840 of probably the first week I think that we were there a lot of meetings but I would say you know
00:49:47.980 there was some days where there was definitely tens of thousands of people there and like families
00:49:54.040 and the elderly you know it was just such a beautifully diverse group of people and
00:50:01.240 everybody was smiling and happy and and hugging strangers were just hugging each other and crying
00:50:08.420 on each other's shoulders and it was a very festive positive atmosphere because I think
00:50:14.560 I think Canadians just were so happy to feel pride in their country again have something to
00:50:21.880 be proud of and to feel like we were Canadians. It wasn't, we weren't, you know, labeled because
00:50:28.240 of our skin color or income bracket or our demo, you know, our geographical location. Cause it
00:50:34.580 didn't matter. Yeah. How did BJ Dichter get into the mix? And I don't want to talk about him too
00:50:41.100 much tonight because, you know, as far as I'm concerned, he's a bit of a bad seed, but
00:50:46.620 that would be my that would be me you did it
00:50:51.220 i know you did but i wanted to hear your your yeah it was me um i met benjamin through tom
00:50:59.500 quiggan so you know who tom quiggan is yes i believe he's with veterans for freedom he is
00:51:05.120 yes and he's like a former military veteran um he's worked in intelligence for a long time so
00:51:11.040 so I organized or helped organize a speaking tour for Mr. Quagan to come out here a couple
00:51:16.780 years ago and Benjamin was his I guess assistant or he was producing his podcast so um and and
00:51:25.180 they stayed with me actually so they did I was in constant communication with them because we
00:51:29.500 were having problems with venues and everything so that's how I got to know Benjamin and honestly
00:51:34.540 I was a little starstruck because of Tom Quagan who I just thought was I've said it before you
00:51:40.360 You know, most girls love rock stars or good looking actors.
00:51:43.700 And I'm all about doctors, journalists, you know what I mean?
00:51:48.620 Veterans, I guess.
00:51:49.840 I just thought Tom Quiggin was just an amazing person.
00:51:52.820 I really respected him.
00:51:54.260 I respected the work that he was doing.
00:51:55.820 And so I naively just lumped Benjamin into that category, right?
00:52:02.340 Obviously, I thought if he's working, you know, and I would say we were friends, although,
00:52:07.580 you know, we didn't talk that often.
00:52:09.480 Obviously, he's from Toronto, and I was out here.
00:52:12.980 Did you know anything about his background, his political background?
00:52:15.420 Because he had been working for, I think, a couple of different political parties before Tom.
00:52:20.700 I found out quite a bit in the last few months, a lot more than I knew before.
00:52:27.040 Right.
00:52:27.700 So, yeah, I am well aware of his background.
00:52:31.280 I've talked with other people that he's worked with also in the past.
00:52:37.160 So, yeah, there's a pattern there.
00:52:39.480 it's a dirty game isn't it tamara totally i mean were you shocked at the depth of the depravity
00:52:47.400 of some of these people i mean you're coming in there as a naive prairie girl just trying
00:52:52.840 to do good for canadians yeah and then you get yourself involved in this intrigue espionage
00:52:59.200 crapola where people are going you stole the money and you brought bj dictator into the mix
00:53:06.780 and he's a bad bad man that kind of stuff right and yes i i just think maybe you didn't realize
00:53:14.760 exactly how bad these people can be and that's absolutely no crime because i'll tell you this
00:53:20.480 i had bob leone on the show the other night formerly with the independence party of alberta
00:53:26.640 and he told me some things about danielle smith and i went are you kidding me like these are the
00:53:35.440 word she actually said to you in regards to the vaccine is killing people and all of that and so
00:53:41.240 i'm awakened almost every single day when i talk to people i haven't spoken with before but i've
00:53:47.920 been keeping track of through social media or whatever so for you this must have been like
00:53:52.760 whoa how did things get so heavy so fast yeah this was great it it just yeah gained so much
00:54:02.040 steam and you know there it's gonna happen in anything shadow there's always you know people
00:54:08.960 and i've said this before you know there was organizations that showed up that like i don't
00:54:13.840 believe anybody came to ottawa with nefarious intentions or you know for the most part um
00:54:19.880 everyone went there well it's possible but you know what shadow i'm a nice person and i like
00:54:26.260 to believe the best in people and unfortunately like we've just discussed sometimes it bites me
00:54:31.320 in the butt but you know i i try to stay positive i try to be an eternal optimist and i try to
00:54:37.660 believe in people until they screw me over yeah you know and after that's the point of no return 0.98
00:54:44.500 for me unfortunately well you know all i'm trying to say is that you know you go from living on a
00:54:49.700 farm with your daughter and your granddaughter and your husband uh and and then you find yourself
00:54:55.440 what 19 months later in a situation where there is so much backbiting and crap that's going on
00:55:02.340 behind closed doors even as there is this incredible event the likes of which canada and
00:55:08.600 even the world hasn't seen uh in years if ever and you're faced with some of these people who
00:55:16.660 may or may not be trying to screw you over and it to me it just seems like wow just wow you know
00:55:25.440 and it's almost difficult to believe it like because you just you don't think that that's the
00:55:31.620 way these people are wired yeah well unfortunately when you get that many people involved in
00:55:39.120 something there's always egos involved always right and was there a lot of that tamara was
00:55:44.280 there a lot of because you know i mean pat king uh for all the good he does and all the you know
00:55:49.600 the words he speaks and whatnot you know a lot of people sense that he had a little bit of ego
00:55:55.880 and that he was trying to take control of things and you know maybe Tom was was trying to take
00:56:01.700 control of things and it turns out that you were the one that people kept looking to probably not
00:56:07.620 through your own actions but like was there any one particular leader or was it squabbling constantly
00:56:13.580 or like no and there was it wasn't squabbling constantly I mean obviously there was differences
00:56:18.760 of opinion um from time to time um for the most part you know we would just put that aside and
00:56:23.980 get done what needed to be done it was cold there was people sleeping outside in their trucks man
00:56:28.880 we didn't have time to worry about you know if so so and so's feelings were hurt that day
00:56:33.460 so we just did the got the job done um um i lost my train of thought here now sorry 0.97
00:56:41.600 oh we were just talking about all of the the rivers of bullshit that yeah i mean 0.87
00:56:48.080 i was saying like i don't think that too i don't think anyone came there with nefarious intentions 0.95
00:56:53.800 but i do think there was people that showed up that came there to help but also to further their
00:56:58.960 own agenda put it that way right or further their own brand you know um but at the end of the day
00:57:06.120 i do believe 99.9 percent of the people that came to ottawa were were there to try and make a
00:57:13.620 difference to support what we were doing and to try and get the government to listen to them
00:57:18.660 yeah you know what was the day you were arrested what what what was the date
00:57:24.860 february 17th okay so that was after the emergencies act was declared
00:57:31.220 yeah did did you have a feeling that something was up that they were coming for you well we
00:57:38.340 always had that feeling and we'd get like people would come and tell us of course there's always
00:57:42.480 rumors right but I mean just about on a daily basis that we were told the police are coming
00:57:46.740 the police are coming but towards the end after the emergencies act there was a obviously a ton
00:57:54.300 of police officers showing up equipment showing up strange things started happening and we knew
00:58:03.120 there was a good chance we knew there was a good chance that we could be arrested and so I had been
00:58:10.560 I had been trying to get to the stage for a few days because I had something that I felt I needed
00:58:17.540 to say, and I just couldn't get up there. So I did that video the night before I was arrested
00:58:23.080 because we thought there was a good chance it could happen. We didn't know. And so I did that
00:58:28.760 video the night before, you know, saying, you know, this is, you know, there's a good chance
00:58:33.180 that I could be arrested. I don't want you to worry. I'll be fine. I'm not worried. And
00:58:38.440 And I guess my key message in that was respect, you know, respecting each other no matter what.
00:58:48.100 You know, Tamara, there are so many amazing comments that are coming in right now.
00:58:56.320 As you were experiencing that, that moment, that feeling that the police were coming, the police were coming, they finally got you in the street.
00:59:04.700 And I want to get to that.
00:59:05.460 I think you were walking with Danny Bulford.
00:59:07.200 And was it Tom?
00:59:08.440 uh danny bulford sean tyson and one of the organizers and another fellow named johnny
00:59:14.680 millions of people across this country saw the video of you get arrested uh get cuffed and you
00:59:23.740 turning to the boys and saying hold the line and then you just got walked away by the cops
00:59:29.000 and i'm i'm looking at comments right now from people who are saying oh my god when i saw that
00:59:34.520 video i had tears in my eyes and i'm starting to well up right now myself you know because
00:59:39.740 you know i wonder if you knew how many canadians you were affecting
00:59:43.760 no not even i can't even since i've been out like the support uh being recognized
00:59:53.160 like like everybody knows my face it's surreal you know but it's going to be a stamp one day you
00:59:59.220 now I don't know if the government puts those out that might not don't worry about them so um
01:00:08.400 uh yeah you know the support has been incredible and I didn't realize like I said I started doing
01:00:16.380 live videos from our Facebook page because this the donations were coming in and we were starting
01:00:22.100 to get a lot of messages and inquiries and people that wanted to help or join and so I felt it was
01:00:29.620 incredibly important that these people that were donating money or wanting to donate food or fuel
01:00:35.860 or anything got a sense of who we were and it was my name that was on the GoFundMe at the beginning
01:00:42.640 I added Benjamin later but um and I just wanted them to to hear from my lips that I you know we
01:00:50.160 were going to make sure that everything was accountable, that everything was going to be
01:00:53.820 transparent, you know, that I was going to stay and let keep them, you know, advised of what was
01:00:59.080 happening every step of the way. And I think through those videos, I just, you know, became
01:01:04.820 the face of it for lack of a better word. I want to talk about your time in lockup.
01:01:12.660 first of all how long all together and and i i can't even believe that they came out to medicine
01:01:20.240 had to get you based upon this perceived breach of your conditions um how long were you in there
01:01:27.560 the first time 18 days i think the first time and 30 the second okay so 18 days you had two
01:01:36.220 different hearings bail hearings am i correct yes so what happened there like why would the judge
01:01:42.120 not grant you bail well i'm not sure why she didn't though i have a theory so chris and i
01:01:50.580 were arrested on the same day he had his bail hearing i think friday or saturday and then he
01:01:58.420 was released and sent home and then my she wasn't going to render her decision until the tuesday and
01:02:04.960 that was a long weekend don't forget so i think a part of what happened is that you know it's
01:02:09.900 Saturday morning, Chris gets let out, Friday or Saturday, I'm not sure,
01:02:13.420 and he hightails at home like he's supposed to.
01:02:15.760 He's got so many hours to get out of Ontario.
01:02:18.620 And then the whole tactical military-style takedown happened.
01:02:22.680 So this justice that lives in Ottawa, who once ran for the Liberal Party,
01:02:28.220 saw all of this happening and then came back with her decision on Tuesday
01:02:32.720 and kept me in jail for 18 more days or whatever.
01:02:38.600 Based upon what, though?
01:02:39.900 Like, what was her rationale? She didn't have to give one?
01:02:42.740 I was too dangerous to be let out into society.
01:02:46.820 And your charges were mischief and incitement, correct?
01:02:50.380 Well, at that point, I was only charged with counseling to commit mischief.
01:02:53.740 They didn't they didn't even add those other six charges until March.
01:02:58.080 So at the beginning, Chris and I were only charged with counseling to commit mischief, which was funny because at that point, nobody had been charged with mischief.
01:03:05.620 So how do you get charged with counseling a crime that wasn't committed?
01:03:09.900 yeah that doesn't make any sense but we didn't break a window shadow we were standing like the
01:03:15.640 protesters truckers all you know we're every day right out front of the prime minister's office
01:03:20.560 it's right there on the corner nobody so much as broke a window or wrote on the exterior of the
01:03:28.340 building like it's it certainly didn't look like france looks right now no did it no it didn't i
01:03:35.640 I mean, those people outside of BlackRock headquarters in Paris today with the flames going and things are getting worse and worse and worse over there.
01:03:41.820 You don't hear anybody over there being called racist.
01:03:44.600 Were there any racist flags?
01:03:47.400 Was there that flag there?
01:03:49.980 Did you ever see that?
01:03:51.220 I've never saw any of those flags.
01:03:53.100 No, no.
01:03:54.340 I will say, though, that it's funny that CSIS has profiles on me and Chris Barber before I think we even got to Ottawa.
01:04:02.740 But they don't know who that guy is.
01:04:04.480 Are you kidding me?
01:04:05.640 right i think he's a photographer for justin trudeau that's what i he's the one that took
01:04:11.940 the photo i think he is a undercover that photo was taken outside of the chateau laurier where
01:04:18.600 all rcmp were staying yeah and then he just yeah that was too weird when when they were with the
01:04:25.800 rcmp i think the weekend of the uh emergencies act when they were cleaning everybody out
01:04:31.300 and kettling people uh that text message or the text thread came out that you've read that text
01:04:38.280 thread yes we're very happy to have stepped on the woman with a horse what was your time in jail like
01:04:45.280 boring they treat you well like were you like what what what happens in there are you just
01:04:51.300 for the most part uh well when the first time i was arrested last winter i was in solitary
01:04:55.660 confinement for about a week um so that sucked I was down in the dungeon I had a tiny little window
01:05:03.380 probably 15 or 16 feet up that's how I could tell what time it was um it was absolutely filthy with
01:05:11.340 like terrible graffiti and dirty and so I took two days and wiped all the graffiti off my walls
01:05:18.060 i cleaned it yeah um cleaned the toilet with a toothbrush cleaned the floor with a toothbrush
01:05:25.980 uh yeah i was in there for a few days before i was even given any books or anything so i did a
01:05:32.620 lot of meditation i did a lot of praying i did a lot of cleaning and um then i was moved up
01:05:40.580 ironically enough i was moved up to cell block with another girl tamara so both times i've gone
01:05:45.440 to jail there's been tamaras in jail which is quite funny and i've ended up rooming with them
01:05:49.260 both so i guess that's where all the badasses go did they treat like aside from the solitary
01:05:54.800 confinement which sounds terrible i mean i'm surprised you didn't come out looking like
01:05:58.540 robert de niro in case fear counselor um what was the treatment like from the guards in there did
01:06:06.660 they obviously knew who you were you know what most of them were amazing most of them were
01:06:13.100 absolutely amazing some of them voiced their support wow i've come to the conclusion that
01:06:19.240 only two kinds of people get involved in corrections those that think they can make
01:06:24.280 a difference and really want to help people and those that were picked on in school and those
01:06:29.360 would be the bullies now yeah the power trippers right power trippers yeah but yeah for the most
01:06:35.400 part they were they were pretty good so you come out after 18 days um you go home you have the nice
01:06:44.360 party i think with ezra levant and all those folks there where you got the award which was
01:06:48.680 sweet and then there was that that was the bail breach right that was where you were photographed
01:06:54.320 with i'm not even sure tom okay yeah who's not supposed to be in the photo but your lawyer i
01:07:01.200 Keith was in that photo, was he not?
01:07:03.220 Keith wasn't even there.
01:07:05.400 There wasn't any lawyers in that photo, but we were surrounded by lawyers.
01:07:09.060 So that was the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms that had offered me the George Jonas Freedom Award.
01:07:16.940 And so we had to go to court to actually have my conditions changed so that I could even attend that award ceremony because it was in Toronto.
01:07:24.640 And so you could get into Ontario.
01:07:26.760 Yeah.
01:07:27.120 So that I would be allowed back in Ontario.
01:07:29.860 Correct.
01:07:30.140 And they were kind enough to make it so.
01:07:34.220 The crown prosecutor actually tried to have me thrown back in jail over all that before the dinner even happened for just agreeing to accept the award.
01:07:47.120 I don't get that.
01:07:48.560 I know.
01:07:49.180 I don't either.
01:07:50.120 You should check out my hearings.
01:07:51.480 I don't get my crown, period.
01:07:52.600 um um so yeah so we get to this dinner and it's my husband and myself and a friend of ours came
01:08:01.260 and we're literally surrounded by lawyers lawyers that are working on our case Chris Barber's lawyer
01:08:07.160 criminal lawyer was there I'm seated with John Carpe who's also a lawyer and the president of
01:08:12.500 the JCCF and as the well the first thing that he was upset with me about or said I breached
01:08:19.060 was when I got off the stage and I went to sit down and somebody had taken a video and you can
01:08:23.440 see me bend over and say something to Tom. And he'd said like, great speech or good job. And I
01:08:29.180 said, thank you. Right. Um, and that was that. And then at the end of the evening, as we're all
01:08:35.180 leaving, somebody suggested that we take a picture and we're like, Ooh, I don't know. Well, as long
01:08:41.080 as it doesn't go on social media, like this picture is just for us, right? This is just for
01:08:45.060 our memory and um yeah John Carpey was right there right beside Tom right off camera was another
01:08:51.240 lawyer from the JCCF um and so they took the picture and then the next day it was on Facebook
01:08:56.800 anyways and the rest is history so did you know at that point that they were going to come and
01:09:03.540 get you did you have a suspicion or just went oh this is just for us no well I mean I figured
01:09:09.200 we're all adults and if there was any well first of all I didn't think it was going to get you know
01:09:13.600 it wasn't supposed to be that was just supposed to be for our own memories and then it got on
01:09:17.180 Facebook and I was like well I didn't expect that they were going to arrest me on the street I
01:09:22.960 thought they would probably like maybe just call me and say could you go turn yourself in or could
01:09:28.640 you explain the situation that's all we had to do is just you know what I mean but that wasn't
01:09:35.020 good enough they had yeah communicate they had to send to homicide detectives out to pick me up
01:09:39.200 instead so they sent these homicide detectives from ottawa they flew them out to calgary and
01:09:45.200 then did flew to medicine at or maybe drove from calgary to medicine hat and they come knocking
01:09:49.440 on your door did you know they were coming no i was arrested here by the medicine hat city police
01:09:54.660 and then transported to calgary so i just met them in calgary oh okay yeah so yeah so what did these
01:10:00.860 these local cops what did they think did you sense any shame coming off of them i mean these guys
01:10:07.780 live in the community yes yeah you know um no as a matter of fact the young uh boy he's not a boy
01:10:17.600 sorry the gentleman that arrested me honestly looked like he would rather be doing anything
01:10:23.280 else than that he uh of course i i see them pulling me over and i'm getting my stuff ready
01:10:28.400 you know and i'm like hey i got everything ready for you and i handed him my license and my
01:10:33.340 registration and insurance. And he just kind of looked at it and told me that there was a
01:10:37.580 warrant out for my arrest when he ran my plates. And I kind of started laughing. I was like, what?
01:10:42.500 Really? And yeah, and actually, also funny, when they took me down to the police station,
01:10:50.300 I walked down, of course, they take you into the basement, right? You don't walk in the front doors.
01:10:54.780 And it was a friend of mine, an old guy used to work with down in there,
01:10:58.160 you know, and I'm like, Hey, what are you doing here? And he's like, Hey, what are you doing?
01:11:03.340 right yeah you're trying to turn this into a good time tamara come on i know they were and i did you
01:11:09.580 know what they were they were amazing to me here the remand staff was amazing to me here i've got
01:11:14.120 nothing but positive things to say about them you know they didn't ask to be put in that situation
01:11:19.700 and yeah so but then you went back to ottawa yeah and i went back to ottawa and how was that
01:11:28.660 I mean that plane ride
01:11:30.500 I mean were you accompanied by two
01:11:32.580 detectives from the Ottawa Police Department
01:11:34.760 who probably should have been working on a murder
01:11:36.760 and there actually was
01:11:38.820 I think
01:11:39.760 five people were stabbed that week
01:11:42.500 I think a city council
01:11:44.600 woman died and one of her daughters 0.99
01:11:46.120 so yeah I'm sure they had much better 1.00
01:11:48.600 things to do than come get me
01:11:49.920 especially since I would have just happily went on my
01:11:52.660 own if I thought that there was a problem
01:11:54.440 was there any conversation on that
01:11:56.540 flight or was it pretty quiet
01:11:57.740 oh I taught one of the sergeants I talked to there was a sergeant and a detective so
01:12:03.040 um I was transported there wheeled through the whole airport in a wheelchair with leg shackles
01:12:10.380 on but they took my handcuffs off to preserve my dignity which was very sweet I thought that was
01:12:16.900 very sweet and literally it felt like we were at the farthest gate at the like you know I said to
01:12:25.280 my mom after i said you know that thank god for airports because everyone's like this anyways
01:12:30.700 so you know they're all looking at their phones anyway so but still yeah wheeled through the
01:12:37.420 whole airport in shackles but they took my handcuffs off to preserve my dating oh my god they
01:12:44.020 so you get to remand and you say hey i'm back yeah here yeah pretty much that i did recognize
01:12:51.720 the ladies that were on intake and uh the doctor too kind of made some jokes and says i didn't
01:12:57.200 think you'd be back here and i said well i didn't i didn't plan on it either and he goes well
01:13:02.160 i hope you get out tomorrow because i had a bail hearing i hope you get out tomorrow he said this
01:13:06.380 is a witch hunt really yeah all right so how many bail hearings was this now like the second time
01:13:12.980 30 days that you're uh the 30 days i had two bail hearings the first one the justice um
01:13:21.260 the justice compared me to somebody with a violent firearms charge and said i could get 10 years in
01:13:28.060 prison uh he again he just went something like between friday and tuesday same thing he his
01:13:35.780 demeanor totally changed the second time uh the second time we had the last judge who did let me
01:13:44.460 out yeah yeah but he put those ridiculous conditions on you though well those conditions
01:13:49.860 were already all in place okay yeah you didn't get any new ones we had them amended so that i
01:13:55.440 could go to the inquiry with my lawyers um but other than that yeah they were still in place
01:14:00.040 so you know what i'm sorry go ahead i was just gonna say i anything that i want changed there
01:14:05.160 we have to go back to court to try to apply for hey every time so how many times have you been
01:14:09.360 to court even well two bail hearings when i was in jail in the fall or sorry last winter and then
01:14:16.300 we had um we were going to try and get my bail condition some changed in the summer and then
01:14:23.220 that turned into basically the judge wanting to or the crown prosecutor we had another hearing
01:14:28.700 because he wanted me thrown back in jail for agreeing to accept an award in the future
01:14:34.740 um and then this time when i was arrested two more bail hearings so what's that five or six
01:14:42.180 how many times were you in court ever before the convoy once or twice um I was getting guardianship
01:14:51.900 of my nephew so there was a court case there and the divorce court I guess but not really
01:14:58.700 didn't spend a lot of time in court anyways not court it's yeah that's right yeah not this kind
01:15:03.900 of court I've never like I said I've never even been in Facebook jail before right right so you
01:15:09.200 know i had no idea what to like in jail if they would bring me something like just like i guess
01:15:13.920 like they would do like papers and little pencils and i would just be like thank you so much you
01:15:19.720 know i didn't know they don't give you a they don't give you a manual an orientation manual
01:15:24.620 when you get in jail to know you know everything that you need to know right so i would just be
01:15:29.620 like oh my god you guys are so kind to me thanks for the slip of paper and pencil you know were
01:15:34.540 you in solitary the entire time no no no so you got roomies then you got bunkies yes and then i
01:15:41.660 was i both times i was in dorms too so there's i think enough room for 14 women in per dorm
01:15:47.600 i i'm thinking uh black is what is that tv show the yellow orange is the new black
01:15:56.240 was it anything like that no thank god i've only watched one episode of it but no no it wasn't
01:16:03.840 quite that bad we all stayed in one room we had one bathroom um the sink didn't work i remember
01:16:10.460 we had to get our drinking water out of the showerhead all of us because the the sink wasn't
01:16:16.560 working uh it was overcrowded so when i was moved up to cell block this time they actually the next
01:16:22.980 day threw another inmate in with us so there was three of us stuffed in this little hotel or this
01:16:27.140 little hotel room this little uh wasn't a hotel this little cell right so this third girl gets 0.99
01:16:33.900 put in there she's given a mat and has to sleep on the floor so one of the girls that i was in 1.00
01:16:39.760 there with was six months pregnant at the time so she didn't even have room in there to get up and 1.00
01:16:43.360 walk around and move wow and three human bodies in a cell that size with barely any airflow in
01:16:53.120 july was terrible yeah you know they made you miss this summer yeah pretty much those alberta
01:17:02.680 summers aren't that long i mean they're even shorter than manitoba summer yeah they are that's
01:17:06.700 right so where does your where is your situation now are you because i know that you and i have
01:17:12.540 talked in the past and you've gone for hearings and you're trying to get these conditions taken
01:17:17.720 off you are you any closer to that no chris and i i'm sure he told you we've just been through a
01:17:24.820 bunch of hearings that ended up being all for naught so um right now i guess our focus is
01:17:32.320 dealing with these criminal charges i would love to try and take a stab at getting some of these
01:17:36.440 conditions changed again as soon as we're able to and uh so we have this 400 million dollar
01:17:42.620 lawsuit against us and our criminal charges. Right. So, you know, we're really focusing right
01:17:48.720 now on, for example, in the civil suit. So we're funded by the justice center for constitutional
01:17:54.780 freedoms. They're paying our lawyer for this, but there's costs over and above that, what they
01:17:59.640 cover. So, um, we're trying to, you know, brainstorm and come up with some fundraising ideas and how
01:18:05.040 we can start um fundraising to for for these extra costs right and um yeah so that's kind of
01:18:13.300 where we're at we got some projects coming down the pipe i got lots of really cool stuff i'm
01:18:17.040 working on all of it totally legal and fun and positive well of course and of course you're not
01:18:23.680 a criminal tamara you were treated like one but you're certainly not a criminal yeah you know
01:18:28.420 when you say all of it legal of course it is and that is for any government spook that's watching
01:18:34.660 the show right now obviously what are you facing anyway what kind of penalties could you face
01:18:41.460 well they're asking for 10 years i've heard 10 and then on another actually i would think it was
01:18:47.580 ari gold gold kind he's a lawyer from toronto i believe alluded to 10 to 14 in his summation but
01:18:53.140 uh 10 to 14 years in jail for mischief for mischief and counseling and counseling to
01:19:01.720 commit mischief uh there's also intimidation because i'm quite intimidating as you can see
01:19:06.240 and counseling intimidation i think there was obstruct obstruct a public order which would be
01:19:16.080 the emergencies act order i'm thinking um and i don't know something else i don't even i don't
01:19:22.600 even care honestly i really don't you know it's it'll all be over at some point um i know who i
01:19:31.000 am and i've got faith i'm not worried do you know when you're going to trial has that been said yet
01:19:37.940 september 5th supposedly okay and that's going to be in ottawa yes it'll be yeah september 5th
01:19:45.400 it's a three-week trial i think they've got it scheduled for um and chris and i are being
01:19:50.300 tried together so we're partners and non-crime still i can't even imagine what you're feeling
01:20:00.040 right now and just you know and it's funny you say i don't even care like there's so many of us
01:20:05.940 that do for everything that you did and everything that you're still doing you know coming on shows
01:20:12.560 like mine and clyde do something and and all the others that you've come on just to let canadians
01:20:17.260 know that you're okay and and uh telling your story everything that you've been through these
01:20:22.560 past couple of years it's amazing and tamara i want to thank you for coming on tonight
01:20:26.120 and uh and telling your story it's been fantastic for us thank you so much for having me yes thank
01:20:32.700 you all right and and i know you're not allowed on social media but maybe you can get your husband
01:20:37.500 to go and check out some of these comments on the show a little bit later on because there's
01:20:41.000 there's thousands of them and they're all really cool oh well thank you and thank you to everybody
01:20:46.220 that's just it's so sweet like i said the the support that we've had has just been
01:20:51.260 And like, I cry almost every day.
01:20:54.180 It's amazing.
01:20:55.080 Canadians are beautiful and I love them all so much.
01:20:59.340 Thank you, Tamara.
01:21:00.360 We'll talk again soon.
01:21:01.340 Okay.
01:21:01.780 Bye-bye.
01:21:02.440 Okay.
01:21:02.880 That's Tamara Leach, everybody.
01:21:04.060 Not that I needed to tell you that.
01:21:05.540 Excuse me.
01:21:09.480 And that's it for the show tonight.
01:21:12.240 I'm sorry I didn't get to more of your comments.
01:21:14.600 We were in the middle of a conversation.
01:21:16.880 uh obviously with somebody i happen to feel is a canadian hero and like i said earlier in the show
01:21:26.400 i think she's going to be on on a stamp one day if we have stamps either that or we'll all be
01:21:31.900 living in a gulag together but either way she will go down in history
01:21:37.580 her and tom marazzo and chris barber and pat king and all of the other people who were involved
01:21:47.880 whether you know and this is interesting and this is something i talked about with tamara maybe you
01:21:54.280 guys didn't see this part of the interview because i know people pop in and pop out but
01:21:58.240 we have to stop this divisiveness this vindictive finger pointing and all coalesce it's so important
01:22:09.780 that we do this i mean you somebody was posting today she's a trojan horse i say to what
01:22:18.420 did you hear her story tonight did you hear what she said did you hear the conditions that she faced
01:22:28.240 did you hear her talk about her life before of all this she's she's just an average person like you
01:22:34.960 like me like everybody watching this show right now and you could be sitting there right now
01:22:40.380 watching this and saying to yourself well i've never done anything wrong and that's probably true 0.99
01:22:46.400 not anything that deserves jail and tamara is just like that and yet there she was in a
01:22:58.240 dungeon for the most part for 48 days so people are saying you know she's on the
01:23:10.800 take and that she's a stooge and that she's controlled opposition and those
01:23:19.180 people I find are either trolls bots or people who just don't get it keyboard
01:23:26.920 Cowboys people who have been sitting on their couches for the last three years watching the
01:23:31.960 world go by and hoping somebody is going to come along on a white horse and save them it's time
01:23:37.140 for all of us to get together to become one I'm not talking about lock step or anything but I'm
01:23:45.160 talking about that general vibe that vibe that we all had during the convoy last year guys we can
01:23:50.500 get that back we can get that back seriously i mean every single independent media that i know
01:23:58.240 that i've spoken with in this country we may come at things differently we may cover different things
01:24:05.800 from time to time you may not agree with some of the things we choose to cover because you don't
01:24:10.560 think they're important maybe you want us to cover other things but that's okay you can disagree with
01:24:16.300 us absolutely you can't that that is absolutely important to disagree or not disagree but do what
01:24:23.540 you want to do but ultimately remember at the end of the day and i know this is difficult because so
01:24:28.780 many of us in the last three years have been compartmentalized into you're either this this
01:24:33.040 this or this and if you're not you're the enemy and that's not the case that's not true we can
01:24:39.780 still disagree on a couple of things and ultimately be on the same side and that side is freedom
01:24:46.000 and truth that is what we're looking for look at all of these answers that are coming out now and
01:24:52.240 they're coming out mostly on twitter and rumble still not on facebook yet people are still being
01:24:56.860 thrown into facebook jail for saying certain things i don't know why that is because seriously
01:25:02.880 if it's out on one social media platform the jig is up the game is over mark zuckerberg
01:25:08.300 people already know so you may as well just let it go get rid of these bs fact checkers you've got
01:25:15.240 because they're not doing anything except costing you money in the first place.
01:25:21.080 But we've all got to be on the same side.
01:25:24.260 Now there's people working in different organizations,
01:25:27.440 Action for Canada, Stand for Thee, etc., etc.
01:25:30.440 And they're all doing their own things.
01:25:32.920 And yes, we can support them all, whether we agree with them or disagree with them,
01:25:36.920 whether we agree with their approach or don't agree with their approach,
01:25:40.420 because they are all working for the same cause.
01:25:44.160 And that, again, is freedom and truth.
01:25:48.220 And if we start turning on each other like we've been doing, we can keep it up.
01:25:51.960 If we keep backbiting on each other and slamming each other, that's it.
01:25:57.700 Game over. Period.
01:26:03.680 That's it for the show tonight, you guys. I love you all.
01:26:06.900 And, okay, one quick thing before you leave here.
01:26:11.140 Tomorrow is Good Friday.
01:26:12.080 and I know we have a lot of Christians who watch the show who are taking the day off tomorrow
01:26:16.100 because it's kind of an important day right in Christianity so I'm wondering if you want me to
01:26:22.340 do a show tomorrow or you'd rather I take the day off now look it's not me I don't care I'll come on
01:26:27.580 do the show if you guys want me to do the show but if you think I should take the day off then
01:26:31.460 then go ahead and uh and tell me that so write that down in the comments and I will look at them
01:26:37.580 later on and yeah that's it for the show tonight you have yourself a great night a great long
01:26:43.400 weekend a great easter long weekend and i will catch you either tomorrow night at eight o'clock
01:26:48.840 central for another shadow at night live stream or monday night at eight o'clock for another
01:26:53.220 shadow at night live stream again i love you all and i will talk to you soon bye for now
