01:01:15.860the other lawyers or any of the staff at the Justice Center, to hire an investigator to ascertain the
01:01:21.600credibility of these claims in June 2021. The Justice Center's statement on these events
01:01:27.200in June 2022 stated, Mr. Carpe's decision to conduct surveillance of Manitoba government
01:01:33.720officials followed a number of high-profile instances where those who imposed and enforced
01:01:38.840lockdown restrictions were themselves found violating their own rules, partying on rooftops,
01:01:43.860ignoring rules about face masks and social distancing, and jetting off to exotic holiday
01:01:49.040locations to countries without restrictions. This flagrant flaunting of standards took place while
01:01:54.700Canadians faced unprecedented restrictions on their charter-guaranteed freedoms to travel,
01:01:59.140assemble, associate with others, and to worship. Mr. Carpe took full responsibility without

01:02:19.640aware of a warrant for the arrest of john carpe this warrant was apparently issued in connection
01:02:25.220with the events that took place in 2021 and alleges obstruction of justice what when he was
01:02:33.280made aware of this warrant mr carpe immediately turned himself into the calgary police services
01:02:37.940This charge is unexpected and without explanation. The events at issue took place over 17 months ago and police have not previously contacted Mr. Carpe nor the Justice Center.
01:02:53.180Mr. Carpe has been cooperating with the investigation of this matter by the Law Society of Manitoba.
01:02:58.860At the time of the events, the Justice Center Board of Directors also took appropriate steps to strengthen governance and oversight of the organization,
