00:11:53.440 of the batches of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine deployed in the European Union. Now,

00:11:58.840 they didn't test Canada or the United States, at least not yet. So we're only making assumptions

00:12:04.600 on that i want to clarify right away i'm not saying this happened in canada because i don't

00:12:08.560 know for certain i am just assuming that if it happened in the eu it probably happened everywhere

00:13:09.000 the last year and a half. They recently appeared on the Punkt Prerodovic online program of the

00:13:17.060 German journalist Melina Prerodovic to discuss batch variability. Their starting point was the

00:13:23.300 recent Danish study showing enormous variation in the adverse events associated with different

00:13:28.080 batches of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, or BNT162B2, per its scientific codename. So what you can see

00:13:37.600 if you're watching this if you're not watching this it's going to be difficult you're going to

00:13:49.400 exactly what we were just talking about there batches used in denmark which are represented

00:13:56.720 by the points in the graph essentially break down into three groups the green batches clustered

00:14:02.160 around the green line, have a moderate or moderately high level of adverse events associated

00:14:08.440 with them. In the discussion with the Prerodovic, Gerald Riker takes the example of the green point

00:14:13.540 furthest to the right. Okay, so you guys can see that. As he explains, it represents the batch that

00:14:19.760 was the used, or sorry, used the most in Denmark with somewhat over 800,000 doses having been

00:14:25.780 administered. These 800,000 doses are associated with around 2,000 suspected adverse events,

00:14:32.580 which gives a reporting rate of one suspected adverse event per approximately 400 doses.

00:14:38.140 As Diker puts it, that's not a small amount if we compare to what we know otherwise from

00:14:43.280 influenza vaccines. According to Diker's calculation, the green batches account for

00:14:47.540 more than 60% of the Danish sample. There are then blue batches clustered around the blue line,

00:14:53.920 which are obviously associated with an extraordinarily high level of adverse events.

00:14:58.280 As Diker notes, no more than 80,000 doses of any of the blue patches were administered in Denmark,

00:15:03.620 suggesting these, especially bad batches, may perhaps have been quietly pulled from the market by public health authorities.

00:15:11.320 They knew, they pulled them, they said nothing.

00:15:16.720 They kept their fingers crossed behind their backs and hoped for the best.

00:15:20.780 Nonetheless, these batches had as many as 8,000 suspected adverse events associated with them.

00:15:26.440 8,000 out of 80,000 doses would give us a reporting rate of one suspected adverse event for every 10 doses, which is ridiculously high.

00:15:35.660 And Diker notes that some of the blue batches are indeed associated with a reporting rate of as high as one suspected adverse event for every six doses.

00:15:46.300 On Diker's calculation, the blue batches represent less than 5% of the total number of doses included in the Danish study.

00:15:53.560 Nonetheless, they're associated with nearly 50% of the 579 deaths recorded in the sample.

00:16:00.020 Finally, there's the yellow batches clustered around the yellow line, which, as can be seen above, and you guys saw that already, barely gets off the x-axis.

00:16:19.440 which are associated with literally zero suspected adverse events.
