The StoneZONE with Roger Stone

00:00:00.000 The Stone Zone, with legendary Republican strategist and political icon and pundit, Roger Stone.

00:00:11.340 Stone has served as a senior campaign aide to three Republican presidents.

00:00:15.080 He is a New York Times bestselling author and a longtime friend and advisor of President Donald Trump.

00:00:21.240 As an outspoken libertarian, Stone has appeared on thousands of broadcasts, spoken at countless venues,

00:00:26.580 and lectured before the prestigious Oxford Political Union and the Cambridge Union Society.

00:00:32.200 Due to his four-plus decades in the political and cultural arena, Stone has become a pop culture icon.

00:00:37.520 And now, here's your host, Roger Stone.

00:00:43.400 Ladies and gentlemen, Troy Smith here, filling in for Roger.

00:00:47.800 He couldn't sadly be with us today, but we're still glad to have you here in the Stone Zone,

00:00:52.320 and I am excited to tell you that we've got a hell of a show planned for today.

00:00:55.760 As we have one of my favorite guests riding shotgun, he's a brilliant journalist,

00:01:00.420 and he's a contributor all over the place, Newsmax and other places,

00:01:03.980 as well as the editor-in-chief of the Illinois Review.

00:01:07.160 He's a great friend of mine, and I'm happy to bring him on as my co-host here today, Mark Vargas.

00:01:11.760 Mark, welcome to the Stone Zone.

00:01:13.940 Troy, always a pleasure to join you.

00:01:16.460 Well, Mark, it's great timing that you're here today, because I know, you know, you're in the same business that I am.

00:01:22.200 You watch the news very carefully, and we had shocking news last night that one of the main Democrat progressives,

00:01:28.840 that's right, Jamal Bowman, lost his race in New York.

00:01:32.860 We have a headline of that that we can put up, and we also have some footage of Jamal Bowman

00:01:38.360 that we want to show to the people, because this is what this gentleman is.

00:01:42.300 People have to remember that Jamal Bowman pulled a fire alarm in order to stop a Republican vote in the House,

00:01:48.580 something that he should have been arrested for, but he was not arrested for.

00:01:52.400 So let's roll the clip of Jamal Bowman pulling that fire alarm,

00:01:56.220 and then get Mark Vargas' thoughts on the blowout loss for Jamal Bowman in New York last night.

00:02:18.580 Mark, your thoughts?

00:02:23.580 Well, I think the election last night is yet more evidence that everyday hardworking Americans are tired of the liberal progressive policies of the squad,

00:02:35.660 and that their beliefs and ideals don't match theirs, and that they are in the fringe minority.

00:02:41.400 And so, you know, in the Jamal Bowman campaign headquarters last night, there was a five-alarm fire,

00:02:46.620 and I believe that that fire is still raging because of the shock.

00:02:51.940 And just a perfect example is the video of that campaign rally with Bernie Sanders and AOC,

00:02:58.000 and she's jumping up and down and yelling and screaming on the stage like a madwoman introduces him 0.94

00:03:05.740 and then literally like nearly jumps into his arms, I think was, you know, turned a lot of people off,

00:03:12.740 particularly the voters there.

00:03:14.960 You could just see the arrogance seeping from them that they were going to win, they were in control.

00:03:22.240 But Americans have spoken back, spoken out, and you could see that rally.

00:03:27.760 Compared to President Trump's rally, 30,000, 40,000 people in the Bronx, there were maybe 150,000, 200.

00:03:34.520 And if you notice, Troy, in some of the photos of that very sad rally, the fences were extended.

00:03:41.760 They were actually expecting a lot more people, but very few showed up.

00:03:46.780 This is a very positive sign for the Trump movement, very positive sign for everyday hardworking Americans,

00:03:55.160 a very bad sign for these progressive liberals that continue to make so much noise as the fringe minority of the Democratic Party,

00:04:03.100 who have literally hijacked the Democratic Party.

00:04:05.780 It's no longer the party of JFK.

00:04:07.260 It's the party of AOC and the squad.

00:04:09.760 Yes, it is, Mark.

00:04:10.700 And you mentioned that rally there that was kind of a cannon fodder for a lot of people out there.

00:04:15.300 I think it was really, it's a hilarious clip.

00:04:18.120 We actually have a couple clips from that rally, one with Jamal Bowman doing some weird arm motions,

00:04:22.700 and then we have some of AOC's actions there.

00:04:25.560 So let's roll those two clips from the New York rally with AOC and Bowman.

00:04:29.340 Let's go!

00:04:54.500 Are you ready to fight?

00:05:10.180 Are you ready to take the Sparrow back?

00:05:15.160 Are you ready to win the country back?

00:05:21.180 And are you ready to fight for people out? 1.00

00:05:25.140 Let's be fucking a gun! 1.00

00:05:27.000 What the hell? 1.00

00:05:28.060 It ain't no good.

00:05:30.060 I mean, it ain't no good.

00:05:31.420 It ain't no good.

00:05:32.480 It ain't no good.

00:05:35.360 Mark, I mean, who do these people think they are?

00:05:38.000 What in their minds made them think that that was going to be a legitimate rally?

00:05:43.780 And, you know, we have another, I want to get your thoughts on this because, you know,

00:05:47.180 Jamal Bowman, to me particularly, a flagrant individual when it comes to basically lawlessness

00:05:52.440 and the lawlessness of the Democratic Party.

00:05:54.820 We have video of Mr. Bowman.

00:05:57.320 I would describe it as assaulting Representative Thomas Massey, who, by the way, won his primary

00:06:04.120 last night.

00:06:04.800 But let's roll the clip of Jamal Bowman basically assaulting Thomas Massey.

00:06:10.680 Then let's get Mark's thoughts on that video.

00:06:12.620 I mean, this guy really should be, I think he should have been arrested multiple times

00:06:16.480 for things he did while in the House of Representatives.

00:06:19.180 Let's roll that clip. 0.89

00:06:19.800 It allows teachers to carry.

00:06:22.140 Carry guns?

00:06:23.160 Would you?

00:06:23.700 More guns lead to more death?

00:06:25.760 Would you co-sponsor my family?

00:06:26.480 More guns lead to more death?

00:06:28.640 Look at the data.

00:06:30.060 You're not looking at any data.

00:06:32.000 You're going to carry the water for the gun lobby.

00:06:35.500 Look at the data.

00:06:37.000 More guns lead to more death.

00:06:39.540 States that have open-carrying laws have more death.

00:06:43.640 States that have open-carrying laws have more death.

00:06:48.520 States that have never been a change.

00:06:49.400 But I do listen to what I'm saying.

00:06:50.780 What caused their children to die?

00:06:54.460 Nine-year-old children.

00:06:56.740 Because the solution is not harm and teach it.

00:06:58.860 Have you ever worked in a school?

00:07:00.660 Have you ever worked in a school?

00:07:03.200 Have you ever worked in a school?

00:07:07.260 It's unbelievable, Mark.

00:07:08.480 What are your thoughts on that?

00:07:10.420 Well, he's lost all decorum.

00:07:12.460 And that's another reason why he lost so badly in last night's election.

00:07:16.260 I mean, that type of behavior is not representative of his constituents.

00:07:20.080 And that's not how you get anything done by getting in a colleague's face and yelling and

00:07:24.680 screaming. 0.99

00:07:25.260 I know he's probably looking for clicks, but he ended up looking like a dick, actually, 0.99

00:07:29.380 with all of that. 0.96

00:07:30.960 And, you know, Steve Bannon, out of change, is named to Jamal Bowman because nothing sticks

00:07:36.280 with this guy.

00:07:37.540 But, you know, fortunately, he's no longer in Congress.

00:07:40.680 And I actually think the RNC should hire AOC to start traveling around the country and

00:07:46.140 holding rallies for the Democratic opponents for some of our candidates, because she's

00:07:54.580 just proven that her support is toxic. 1.00

00:07:58.540 She looks ridiculous. 0.98

00:07:59.960 And I'm so glad to see that Jamal Bowman is now out of Congress because the message has 0.99

00:08:05.520 been sent across the country that this type of behavior, these types of representatives

00:08:10.700 and these types of beliefs that the squad holds are not in line with the everyday, average,

00:08:18.480 hardworking American.

00:08:20.460 Well, that's exactly right, Mark.

00:08:21.660 And we actually have the percentages there.

00:08:24.520 Let's roll.

00:08:25.180 Can we put that up on the screen?

00:08:26.540 The actual vote tallies from the New York District 16, where Jamal Bowman was throttled last

00:08:33.440 night, it's 58.4% to 41.6%.

00:08:38.000 And before we move on, I thought this was funny.

00:08:40.740 Somebody posted this online.

00:08:43.080 Just, you know, more of what you're talking about, Mark.

00:08:45.480 This guy's really lost it.

00:08:46.780 He doesn't have control of himself.

00:08:48.180 Let's roll the clip of Jamal Bowman screaming during his concession speech last night after

00:08:53.420 being throttled, losing nearly 60% of the vote.

00:08:56.560 Let's roll that.

00:08:57.020 Just, Mark, as you stated, the guy has completely lost control.

00:09:24.500 And I think the House of Representatives is a lot safer place.

00:09:28.680 It's a lot better place now that he's no longer going to be there.

00:09:32.540 As we're kind of moving forward here, Mark, I wanted to get your opinion on something we

00:09:37.560 talked about yesterday with Roger.

00:09:39.400 Roger confirmed that he believes Hillary Clinton is making some kind of play here ahead of the

00:09:44.560 DNC convention in Chicago.

00:09:46.580 And we got news yesterday that she's releasing a book in September called Something Lost,

00:09:52.500 Something Gained, Reflections on Life, Love, and Liberty.

00:09:57.960 But here at the Stone Zone, we're actually able to obtain a newer copy.

00:10:03.500 This is actually a better copy that's been more appropriately titled.

00:10:07.180 And that one is called, I Know I Lost, But I Won't Go Away, Reflections on Corruption,

00:10:12.680 Death, and Despair.

00:10:14.000 That is the story of Hillary Rodham Clinton. 0.91

00:10:16.100 So, Mark, my question to you is, what are your thoughts on the fact that she's releasing

00:10:22.040 a book just ahead of this convention?

00:10:24.020 Do you think she's going to make a play to either be a part of the next administration 0.98

00:10:27.960 or maybe even get herself on the ticket?

00:10:31.260 Well, the Clintons can't stand being irrelevant.

00:10:33.760 And that's exactly what they are.

00:10:35.420 I mean, Troy, if you remember several years ago, the Clintons embarked on this speaking tour

00:10:40.340 where the rally, where the audience looked like a Bowman, AOC, Bernie Sanders rally.

00:10:47.980 It wasn't sold out.

00:10:49.480 Some of the venues were only, you know, half full.

00:10:53.740 And so it was a real embarrassing for the Clintons.

00:10:58.300 So the thought that she's going to, she's writing this book and is going to launch it in the fall

00:11:03.600 is just laughable.

00:11:05.280 I've never seen, Troy, a funeral procession for a political career last this long,

00:11:10.100 last as long as Hillary Clinton's.

00:11:12.660 But I think we're going to expect this from now until the end of eternity.

00:11:17.260 Every election, Hillary is going to pop up. 1.00

00:11:21.020 And, you know, remember me.

00:11:23.040 Hey, do you remember me?

00:11:24.180 Because, you know, she hasn't really been giving any speeches.

00:11:27.400 But I think she wants to hint, she has no shot.

00:11:30.820 But I think she also wants to hint that maybe she's going to be a presidential candidate again.

00:11:34.880 And maybe they will switch out Joe Biden at the Democratic Convention and put Hillary in there 1.00

00:11:39.740 because she's already been tested.

00:11:41.840 But we certainly know the feud between the Obamas and the Clintons still stands.

00:11:45.640 There's no love lost there.

00:11:47.160 They're certainly not friends or allies.

00:11:49.340 They're adversaries.

00:11:51.200 And so, you know, for them politically, this makes sense.

00:11:55.060 You know, this is Obama's, going into Obama's fourth term, potentially.

00:11:59.040 This is, Biden has been Obama's third term.

00:12:01.100 And so, for the Clintons to poke their heads up and try and make some noise with this book certainly is laughable.

00:12:09.640 America has moved on a long time ago.

00:12:12.640 More damage has been done under the Clintons than probably anybody else in modern history.

00:12:18.180 But, again, it's laughable.

00:12:19.960 And I cannot wait, Troy, to see the audiences during her book tour when the rooms are going to be half empty.

00:12:27.480 Well, and we saw Jen Psaki launch a huge book tour just a few months ago, Mark.

00:12:33.500 And she sold just 22,000 copies of that book.

00:12:37.020 And that was despite being on The View and Colbert's show and End and End and End and every kind of liberal institution, a television show, you'll find out there that she did that show. 1.00

00:12:49.840 And she got 22,000 books.

00:12:51.260 And I know I got one of them.

00:12:52.880 So, really, it's $21,999.

00:12:57.620 And he probably got it for free.

00:12:59.280 He certainly probably didn't even pay for it.

00:13:01.240 Well, see, and here's the thing, ladies and gentlemen.

00:13:03.820 They can take all of this, you know, all of the fact that they're on The Late Show, they're on The Tonight Show.

00:13:09.320 They make it seem like they're this big, formidable force.

00:13:11.940 But, really, there's nobody watching this stuff.

00:13:14.320 There's nobody watching Hillary Clinton at the Tony Awards.

00:13:17.360 People don't care about this stuff.

00:13:19.820 Does it resound in Democrat circles?

00:13:22.280 Yeah, of course, because at the Tony Awards and at the Oscars and these other award shows, what you have are a bunch of wealthy elites that hate the working class and they hate Donald Trump and they hate the people who voted for him.

00:13:35.080 And any time you see anybody, Mark, enter that room that comes from the working class, 0.83

00:13:40.560 they are either completely rejected or they are beaten into submission until they eventually go along with the Hollywood elites, with the culture of elitism and looking down on what America is.

00:13:54.820 You know, Hillary Clinton specifically, when she lost in 2016, Mark, she said that it was because of the machines.

00:14:02.840 She actually filed petitions in several states to get recounts based on the idea that the machines, the election machines, were fraudulent. 0.59

00:14:09.920 And yet, we see on MSNBC, she's not attacked for that.

00:14:14.860 We see in the mainstream media, they never called Hillary Clinton an election denier.

00:14:19.120 They never said anything of the sort.

00:14:20.820 But yet, people like us, who ask the questions, who don't come from the elitist culture that Hillary Clinton and others survive in, we are attacked, maligned by the mainstream media.

00:14:34.100 Now, one of the things that has been a center of media controversy for many years now is President Barack Obama's birth certificate.

00:14:43.160 And there's still a lot of questions, Mark, as to what's happening with the birth certificate.

00:14:48.440 And it's my understanding that you're actually in Hawaii right now looking for this birth certificate on the scene.

00:14:54.360 And this is breaking news.

00:14:55.360 I want you to talk about what you're doing there and what you're doing to uncover this long-lost birth certificate.

00:15:01.900 Right.

00:15:02.480 Well, I'm live here in Honolulu, where the Obamas have a home and vacation, Troy.

00:15:09.320 And I'm certainly here to find answers.

00:15:10.820 And I'm looking far and wide.

00:15:12.480 I'm looking on every golf course and beach that I possibly can to try and identify Obama's birth certificate.

00:15:21.640 You know, I've been watching on the news what's happening in Kenya and Obama's half-sister, who was giving an interview in television.

00:15:31.060 And so, you know, I think we're going to put a team out there in Kenya so that we can start connecting more dots and getting ready for the, you know, November election to break some news.

00:15:40.840 But Hawaii is beautiful, and I'm happy to be here for the week relaxing and joining you on the show.

00:15:47.940 But also, there's got to be work done.

00:15:50.000 And that's to find Obama's birth certificate.

00:15:52.820 Well, you know, Mark, I know it.

00:15:54.680 And it really is funny because the media just loses their minds.

00:15:57.780 I can actually see Media Matters clipping this right now and saying, oh, they're talking about the birther conspiracy.

00:16:03.560 We're joking, ladies and gentlemen, of course.

00:16:06.460 And the point is that as far as the birth certificate is concerned, there are legitimate questions about it.

00:16:13.120 And if it is true, if it is true that Barack Obama is not a citizen of the United States, it's one of the great scandals of our time.

00:16:20.700 And, you know, it leads me back to 2016, Mark, and I wanted to ask you about this just in the context.

00:16:25.980 There was a lot of controversy surrounding Ted Cruz and whether he was actually born in the United States or whether he was born outside of the United States.

00:16:34.600 And while a lot of people dismiss that, oh, this is a birther claim all over again,

00:16:39.060 I think the point that was being made by Trump's officials and others at the time was that any question that revolves around a Republican, you know, especially one of citizenship, is going to be challenged by the Democrats.

00:16:53.660 Republicans have no room for error whatsoever.

00:16:57.040 You have to follow everything to the letter of the law.

00:16:59.140 And if there's even a question, if a Republican is a citizen or was a natural citizen, was born in this country or not, that becomes the presidential nominee,

00:17:08.640 you can best believe the Democrats are going to attack that full throttle.

00:17:12.780 So the birth certificate, while the media views it as this racist issue, oh, it's a birther conspiracy.

00:17:18.180 No, I think it's more of a question of, you know, the double standard.

00:17:23.380 The liberal Democrat Obama types don't have to answer for anything.

00:17:27.820 And even when there are legitimate questions, there's no answers ever.

00:17:31.880 And people just, you know, if you ask the questions, you get attacked.

00:17:35.240 I mean, is that how you see it, Mark?

00:17:37.540 It is.

00:17:38.400 And think about this, Troy.

00:17:40.280 Obama raced to show the whole world his vaccination status, his vaccination card, the fact that he was getting vaccinated.

00:17:47.540 But when it comes to his birth certificate, he remains absolutely silent.

00:17:51.940 Something as simple as showing his vax card, he can't wait.

00:17:55.020 He's giddy to show that vaccination, his vaccination status.

00:17:58.900 But something as serious and important as his birth certificate, he's radio silent.

00:18:05.700 But, you know, no surprise here.

00:18:07.500 I was just actually sharing with someone yesterday, Troy, that Barack Obama just walked through into the White House with virtually no opposition.

00:18:17.440 The press, he had a honeymoon from the press, his entire presidential campaign during his entire presidency.

00:18:26.520 I mean, this is a guy who was never challenged whatsoever.

00:18:29.640 I've never seen someone have such an easy time walking into the White House, a battle that is usually tough and brutal, and you walk away bruised and bloodied.

00:18:40.560 But not Obama.

00:18:42.560 And this double standard couldn't be clearer the way the media has treated him and Michelle compared to First Lady Melania Trump, who is absolutely brilliant and beautiful and so fashion forward.

00:18:58.860 Not a single, she was not on a single cover of a magazine.

00:19:03.320 Nobody wanted to cover her.

00:19:04.900 In fact, they just wanted to criticize her.

00:19:07.040 Yet Obama, Michelle Obama could, you know, wear curtains from the White House and they'd be saying how fashion forward she is. 1.00

00:19:13.960 And she'd be on the cover of every fashion magazine in the world.

00:19:18.860 So it really is a double standard, and it's really sad.

00:19:22.560 And so, you know, I can't wait so that, you know, we can make the Obama, Trump's second term, make the Obamas irrelevant as well, just like the Clintons.

00:19:32.420 Well, one of the things that I think President Trump, if elected, should do immediately, Mark, is do everything within his power to stop the $400 million waste of money, which is the Obama presidential center that's being built in Chicago.

00:19:45.100 And you being, you know, the Illinois Review editor-in-chief, this is something that obviously hits home with you.

00:19:49.980 I pulled a clip of Obama kind of salivating over the plans of this thing, plotting and planning this $400 million death star, we'll call it, in Chicago.

00:19:59.980 Let's roll the clip of Obama kind of salivating over that presidential center. 0.98

00:20:03.900 Again, $400 million, ladies and gentlemen.

00:20:07.700 And then let's get Mark's thoughts on the other side of the video.

00:20:10.340 What's going on here, and how can President Trump stop this tremendous waste of taxpayer money?

00:20:16.940 So this is going to be on the south side of Chicago in historic Jackson Park, and it's the place where Michelle and I met, where I first started in public life.

00:20:28.480 His team brought this model to show us.

00:20:31.740 Mr. Obama's foundation has raised from private donations a little over half the estimated $500 million cost.

00:20:41.500 It'll take about four years once they start.

00:20:44.400 It's going to be a place where, you know, we have the standard model Oval Office and Michelle's dresses, which will be very popular, no doubt, but also, you know, a whole host of facilities that allow us to provide classroom training to young people who are interested in public service and, you know, to beautify a park that can serve a whole bunch of young people who've been underserved in the past.

00:21:14.400 Mark, your thoughts on that?

00:21:16.440 Well, the only time Obama comes to Chicago and is actually in the south side is to promote this monstrosity, half a billion dollar venue to showcase his presidency, which basically was a total failure.

00:21:34.120 What he really ought to have, Troy, is a section about how to teach young kids how to get into government and weaponize the justice system, how to weaponize prosecutors, how to weaponize agencies like the FBI and the DOJ to target, harass, and persecute your political enemies.

00:21:49.640 He ought to have a section in that presidential library where they applaud leaders like Vladimir Putin in Russia and Xi Jinping in China and Kim Jong-un in North Korea who like to jail and prosecute their political enemies.

00:22:05.760 This is, this is, it's absurd, but as I said, as I said many times before, Troy, Chicagoans actually are disgusted with the Obamas because here was this historical figure in 2008 from Chicago, first black man to be president of the United States, and he abandoned Chicago.

00:22:23.880 The only time he talks about Chicago, the only time he wants to help Chicago is when it's politically convenient for him, and Chicagoans, the south side, residents of the south side and the west side, their lives are no better.

00:22:37.140 They still have poor economic opportunities.

00:22:39.080 They still have food deserts.

00:22:40.960 Crime is still skyrocketing.

00:22:43.100 Educational opportunities declining.

00:22:45.800 Student test scores declining.

00:22:48.220 Lots of students still haven't even returned from the pandemic.

00:22:50.880 You have middle school and high school age students that are still at an elementary level reading because the education is so poor.

00:22:58.780 This is, this is the real Obama's south and west side of Chicago, but I wouldn't expect him to actually talk about the realities because the postcard Chicago, the Chicago that Obama wants the whole world to know, is nothing like the Chicago that is there when his entire entourage leaves.

00:23:19.180 And he goes back to his, you know, 20 million dollar mansion in the vineyard or D.C. or in Hawaii.

00:23:26.500 Well, Mark, you know, you're talking about a president in Barack Obama who, you know, we see so many people out there protesting.

00:23:34.020 In fact, we played a video yesterday of Palestine, pro-Palestine protesters, these anti-America, anti-Israel people protesting Jake Tapper's house ahead of this debate, saying that, oh, he's pro-genocide.

00:23:46.600 I would say to those people, there's no individual in the country who is more responsible for particularly Muslim deaths in the Middle East due to drone strikes and other things than President Barack Obama.

00:23:59.720 I mean, I think that these pro-Palestine people, if they really want their message to be honest and to be unbiased and to go after the real culprits, the real people who made this happen and have kind of prolonged these wars in the Middle East and stoked these wars in the Middle East, they need to protest this Obama presidential center.

00:24:20.980 I mean, you could say, Mark, I think, based on his presidency, that this presidential senator, Obama's entire net worth, his entire aura, his entire well-being, his entire life is built on the fact that he bombed women and children, innocent women and children in the Middle East.

00:24:39.840 And I don't think that we should have a $400 million monument to a guy who bombed a lot of women and children, specifically in a time like this, where we have so many people in this country who are looking at the Israel-Palestine conflict and they're saying, wow, I'm not agreeing with the Israelis.

00:24:59.560 And I think that's it. Here's an interesting thing. And I want to get your opinion on this, Mark, because, I mean, it seems pretty split.

00:25:06.500 But how do you come back as a Democrat party from people who are kind of supporting Palestine?

00:25:12.600 They don't really see a problem with Hamas. How do they come back from that into a normal political space? 0.73

00:25:20.160 Yeah, it's a great question. And let's not forget, Troy, that under the Obama presidency, race relations got worse.

00:25:26.460 That's better. It got worse. Remember, we've had the rioting and looting of our communities and cities started under the Obama administration.

00:25:34.380 The perfection of the weaponized justice system and FBI started under Obama.

00:25:40.780 And I believe these anti-American protesters that you're talking about, these anti-Israel protesters, they were emboldened under the Obama administration.

00:25:48.380 Because if you remember, Troy, Obama's first foreign trip as president, he went to the University of Cairo, where he apologized for American behavior.

00:25:58.980 And I think that set the tone for the rest of his presidency, the most powerful country in the planet, was no longer the leading we were following.

00:26:11.720 And when our commander in chief goes on an apology tour around the world, that really sets the tone.

00:26:17.600 And I believe emboldened these anti-American groups and organizations.

00:26:24.700 And we're seeing what we're seeing today is is a result of this apology tour.

00:26:30.680 But it is very difficult, Troy, to your point, to come back from this.

00:26:35.940 Foreign policy has weakened as is a total disaster under Obama.

00:26:40.760 And it's a total disaster under Biden.

00:26:42.980 And we can connect the dots.

00:26:44.460 This is Obama's third term.

00:26:46.740 If you remember, when he was at the White House, I think it was a year or two ago, Joe Biden was wandering around.

00:26:52.340 Everybody wanted to go talk to Barack Obama and take their photos.

00:26:56.520 And here you have the sitting president of the United States kind of wandering around.

00:26:59.440 And then at the end, tugging Obama on his shoulder like, hey, hey, remember me?

00:27:04.700 Don't forget about me.

00:27:05.880 It really was a sad, sad photo, sad video that the rest of the world, our enemies, have watched over and over and over again.

00:27:16.300 And it's and it's another reason why we are not safe here at home and abroad because of the failure of the foreign policy of Obama's third term.

00:27:25.860 Well, Mark, you know what's most aggravating to me is that we see the Democrats, particularly in the media, portrayed as, oh, they're the party of peace.

00:27:34.240 You know, they're the party of the Republicans.

00:27:36.880 They showed footage of Jan 6th and they say, oh, the Republicans are violent.

00:27:40.680 Yet they leave out the BLM riots.

00:27:43.280 They leave out the protesters intimidating students that aren't allowed to go to their classes because they happen to be Jewish.

00:27:49.400 They leave out this intimidation of the left.

00:27:52.420 And we see this kind of out in the open now, Mark, where members of Congress, members of the Democrat media, they're openly attacking members of the judiciary and funding their operatives to go in and record these people secretly and then release the footage and lie about what is said.

00:28:08.540 This was also done to Roger Stone and what I believe is a more pointed attack on Judge Eileen Cannon over the last several weeks.

00:28:16.580 But we actually have footage of one of the most odious members of Congress, Jamie Raskin, who, by the way, is angling with the Democrat Party and Joe Biden and others to remove President Trump from the ballot in 2024.

00:28:31.620 They have the it's been put together by Raskin where he could accuse Trump essentially of insurrection in legislation that could pass this or resolution that could pass this.

00:28:43.300 And all of a sudden, Trump would be banned from the ballot in all 50 states.

00:28:48.160 And this is being led by Jamie Raskin.

00:28:51.380 And one of Raskin's biggest fears, Mark, as I understand it, is that the Supreme Court would step in and stop him from being able to remove Trump from the ballot and to stop some of the attacks.

00:29:04.480 And we're already seeing signs of that with the immunity case.

00:29:07.300 I don't know if you listen to the arguments in that, but we played some of them here.

00:29:11.140 And it didn't really sound like it was going too well for Jack Smith and others who want to say that, you know, we're talking about immunity.

00:29:18.420 So let's roll the clip of Jamie Raskin attacking the Supreme Court, saying that they will do the right thing and free the January six hostages and get your thoughts on this overall Democrat attack on the judiciary.

00:29:31.140 Let's roll that clip. 0.89

00:29:31.860 I suspect that the right wing majority on the court is going to dramatically narrow one of the key criminal statutes that's been used in the prosecution of January 6th insurrectionists and rioters.

00:29:47.840 And, you know, they have already substantially and let's hope not irrevocably intervened in the 2024 presidential campaign.

00:29:57.680 In this election, the Supreme Court plucking up from the D.C. circuit a unanimous, bipartisan, perfectly valid, airtight, analytically decision on presidential immunity and then to hold it for month after month after month in order to slow down the possibility of Jack Smith's prosecution of Donald Trump.

00:30:25.580 So, you know, we're already looking at a legacy right now.

00:30:31.160 Well, and Mark, as you saw there, a lot of a lot of attacks coming from Jamie Raskin, top Democrats who played Nancy Pelosi yesterday attacking the Supreme Court.

00:30:40.840 What do you make of this?

00:30:41.860 Do you think that they're literally trying to pressure the Supreme Court into doing what they want?

00:30:46.960 Of course they are.

00:30:48.300 And, you know, to borrow a line from the movie, the skulls are rules to perceive those of the outside world.

00:30:54.500 And that's exactly what Jamie Raskin and the Democrats believe.

00:30:58.500 I mean, they've literally thrown away our justice system, completely destroyed it, and have weaponized it to target a political enemy. 0.99

00:31:06.580 It really is a mental illness.

00:31:08.980 I don't think there's an—I don't say that very lightly, but I think this is a mental illness on behalf of the Democratic Party and their attacks of their obsession of taking out Donald Trump. 0.77

00:31:18.640 I mean, it started already in 2015.

00:31:20.820 The day after President Trump was elected president of the United States in 2015, the Democrats already started to push for impeachment.

00:31:27.160 I mean, it was shocking.

00:31:28.240 And they spent the next several months all the way going into his inauguration talking about how to impeach President Trump and how to begin investigations.

00:31:36.860 And the day that he was inaugurated on January 20th in 2016, the headline in the Washington Post was, the push for impeachment begins today.

00:31:48.960 I mean, it's unbelievable how he could talk about the far-right Supreme Court, all right, and attack the United States Supreme Court, but at the same time not attack these federal judges, these corrupt federal judges, these corrupt prosecutors, these corrupt district attorneys, like in New York City and in Fulton County,

00:32:10.460 who are using their offices to target a political enemy, who are doing the bidding of the DNC and of the Biden White House, let's not talk about that at all, but let's focus all of our time and energy on this right-wing United States Supreme Court.

00:32:25.440 It's outrageous. And this is why, Troy, President Trump is leading in virtually every national poll, and more specifically in these key swing states, because the average American is sick and tired of what the Democrats are doing,

00:32:40.940 and that is using government resources, using federal agencies to target and harass political opponents, and in turn, harass everyday Americans.

00:32:50.580 Let's not forget that it was the Biden White House, the Biden administration, that had called everyday moms and dads arguing for their students domestic terrorists.

00:32:58.980 This is a dangerous precedent that the Democrats have sent, and I think that the election in November is going to help right the ship when we put Donald Trump back in office.

00:33:07.580 But you can't get any more further from reality than Jamie Raskin.

00:33:12.980 No, and you know, Mark, I think it's important to point out that basically the entire world structure is realigning under President Joe Biden.

00:33:22.100 I mean, we're seeing China emerge, we're seeing Russia emerge, and they're teaming up with nations like North Korea.

00:33:29.140 We got news this morning that North Korea is actually going to be sending troops to Ukraine in order to help the Russians kind of with their war effort there.

00:33:38.600 And the response from the Pentagon has been kind of unbelievable.

00:33:43.200 They said that the North Korean troops will be cannon fodder if they dare to aid Russia in Ukraine.

00:33:50.900 You know, it seems to me, Mark, we are in desperate need of an adult in the room here because North Korea is, you know, 0.99

00:33:58.800 they're getting ready to help Russia and they're doing that because South Korea is stating that they're going to send weapons and possibly people to help Ukraine in their war effort.

00:34:11.720 We are in desperate need of a legitimate leader right now that is going to kind of quell these tensions.

00:34:17.540 But all the Biden administration appears willing to do with their Pentagon is to pour gasoline on this fire.

00:34:25.520 And I got to tell you, I think we're heading, we're barreling towards a hot World War III here.

00:34:30.660 What do you think?

00:34:31.940 There's no question about it.

00:34:33.520 And leadership starts at the top.

00:34:35.520 And we don't have a leader. 0.97

00:34:37.680 The president is cognitively disabled. 0.96

00:34:40.880 He's a laughingstock, not only here at home, but around the world. 0.98

00:34:44.220 Just look recently at what happened in the G7 when he's essentially, you know, walking around chasing butterflies while a man is parachuting.

00:34:53.320 And you have the Italian prime minister that has to literally walk over to the president of the United States, the most powerful man on the planet,

00:35:00.160 put her hand on his back and redirect and to focus here instead of, you know, the butterflies that are flying around outside.

00:35:06.660 This is why our enemies have been emboldened under the Biden administration.

00:35:11.800 If, because of Biden's cognitive disability, and they know that he's not running our country, you had Putin invade Ukraine.

00:35:21.800 This is no surprise.

00:35:23.440 You had Hamas terrorize Israel.

00:35:27.120 You have now North Korea partnering with Putin and Russia.

00:35:31.440 This is a perfect example of what happens when there is no leadership.

00:35:36.140 Our adversaries are emboldened.

00:35:37.960 We have wide open borders, our enemies, terrorists, the most dangerous men on the planet have now entered our country. 1.00

00:35:47.960 And as a result, Ryan, this is what scares me the most.

00:35:50.560 As a result, we will have an October 7th type attack here in the United States.

00:35:56.220 It's not if, but when, because these individuals are already here.

00:36:01.180 And again, this is a complete and utter failure on Biden's part.

00:36:06.140 This is crimes against humanity, what's happening in our country.

00:36:09.600 And we are barreling towards a World War III.

00:36:13.040 And that's why this election in November is so important.

00:36:15.860 This isn't about ideas anymore.

00:36:18.060 This isn't about policies.

00:36:19.620 This election is about good versus evil.

00:36:22.740 Well, Mark, I wanted to ask you about something because it's been something that's been,

00:36:25.980 I've been thinking about, especially in regards to this, I have always leaned towards a more isolationist policy as far as foreign policy is concerned.

00:36:34.880 I think that the United States should be isolationist.

00:36:37.620 But I think it's also important looking at the way China and Russia are going around the world and they're kind of co-opting these countries into becoming part of BRICS and becoming part of their ecosystem.

00:36:49.000 Do you think that it's important for us to stay back and to be isolationist?

00:36:54.900 Or do you believe in a more aggressive foreign policy that maybe combats the China-Russia worldwide proposition more on its face than to kind of let back, sit back and watch it fail?

00:37:10.460 I mean, what do you think about that?

00:37:12.540 Well, I thought President Trump during his four years was absolutely brilliant on this.

00:37:16.840 And he was predictably unpredictable.

00:37:19.540 And that scared our adversaries.

00:37:22.020 And, you know, and Trump wasn't afraid, you know, as they say, speak softly, but carry a big stick.

00:37:28.000 That's exactly what President Trump did during his four years as president, particularly in regards to foreign policy.

00:37:34.760 Troy, if you remember the famous story that Trump likes to share when he met with a Taliban leader, you know, he slid over a top secret envelope with photos.

00:37:43.520 And the Taliban leader looked at opened up that envelope and in it circled were photos of his home or his family was.

00:37:52.700 And President Trump said, I know where you live.

00:37:55.300 I know where your family lives.

00:37:57.820 Stay in line or I'm not going to be afraid to press the button and destroy these locations.

00:38:04.460 And that scared him because it was very intimidating.

00:38:08.480 And Trump was able to use, you know, top secret photos and to keep the Taliban leader in line.

00:38:16.780 And I'm certain he did that with other rural leaders as well about keeping them in check.

00:38:23.160 That type of leadership, he never it's like Ronald Reagan in the Cold War.

00:38:26.560 Ronald Reagan won the Cold War without firing a single shot.

00:38:29.640 The world was safer under President Trump and he didn't have to fire a single shot because he was tough and leaders knew he was predictably unpredictable.

00:38:38.860 Leaders also knew that he wasn't afraid afraid to touch the big that pressed the big red button that was on his desk.

00:38:45.060 And it wasn't just for a White House steward to bring in Diet Cokes.

00:38:48.620 He had the most powerful military on the planet at his disposal.

00:38:53.140 And more importantly, unlike with the military and Joe Biden, the military respected President Trump.

00:39:00.340 And as a result, we had a much safer world.

00:39:05.360 Well, and Mark, one of the things that we're both anticipating tomorrow is the presidential debate between President Biden and President Trump.

00:39:13.400 And I think you're exactly right.

00:39:15.040 It's important that Trump highlight the contrast in the policies of his administration and Biden because Americans were better off.

00:39:23.440 And I don't think that there's really anybody that would honestly and I say that, you know, there are people out there who will say, oh, we're better off now.

00:39:29.680 But they're only saying that because they support President Joe Biden.

00:39:33.280 I mean, if really you're looking at anybody's situation in the country, it's virtually impossible for you to be doing better today than you were under President Trump, unless you are Mark Zuckerberg, unless you are a multibillionaire.

00:39:47.500 Interestingly enough, Mark, the same people who helped Joe Biden get elected.

00:39:52.460 No, you're absolutely right. 0.98

00:39:53.660 And what's interesting, Troy, is the leaking coming out of the Biden White House and from his political aides is that do not, they're advising him, do not focus on your record, Joe, because it sucks. 0.97

00:40:06.760 Americans are hurting.

00:40:08.480 We're weaker from foreign policy.

00:40:10.820 We've got millions, tens of millions of illegals in our country, and we don't know who the hell they are. 1.00

00:40:16.320 And we know that a lot of them are really dangerous.

00:40:18.240 So during this debate, do not focus on your own record because it's awful.

00:40:22.580 But what you've got to do is focus on Trump's record, which I welcome that because Trump's record is spectacular.

00:40:29.760 It's a record that was strong.

00:40:31.180 Americans were thriving, particularly the Black community, the Hispanic community, women, the Asian community, some of the lowest unemployment rates in the history of our country.

00:40:45.100 People have more money in their pockets.

00:40:46.940 Their 401ks look better.

00:40:48.480 Groceries weren't as expensive.

00:40:49.680 Gas wasn't expensive.

00:40:50.680 And we were respected around the world.

00:40:52.940 So I think that's an interesting strategy and an interesting sort of revelation coming out of the Biden camp is stay away from your record as president because it is awful.

00:41:04.060 And I think that he's hiding Camp David for the last several days because they're trying to figure out what sort of medication, what sort of cocktail they need to put him on so that he's alert.

00:41:14.740 But we all know that's not the real Joe Biden.

00:41:16.420 I mean, look at the guy.

00:41:17.160 It's a different Joe Biden every time we see him publicly. 0.97

00:41:20.040 So I can't wait to see which body double they drag out this time because we know that this president is incompetent, he's incontinent, and he's cognitively disabled. 0.56

00:41:30.160 You cannot put a guy like this on the world stage against a debate with someone as tough and strong as President Trump. 0.52

00:41:38.080 Well, and Mark, we're living through the real world consequences of having a president that is incapable of doing the job.

00:41:46.480 And one of these, one of the problems here is that he has been at Camp David since the 20th.

00:41:53.180 I mean, it's the 26th.

00:41:54.680 Almost seven days he's been out of sight, out of mind, not doing his job as president.

00:41:59.820 Let's roll the footage of him kind of wandering back to go to Camp David a few days ago.

00:42:07.020 And let's remind the audience, Russia is on the offensive. 0.63

00:42:10.440 While Biden was at Camp David, Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin have met.

00:42:15.480 They've made an agreement between Russia and North Korea.

00:42:19.000 And on top of that, Russia's made deals with other countries, including Vietnam and other countries there in Asia.

00:42:26.500 It's a major problem that this guy has to go into hiding for a week, and we don't have a president for a week.

00:42:34.980 And while that absence is going on, Mark, the Russians, the Chinese, all these people are out taking whatever they want on the world stage because they know, as far as the United States is concerned, nobody's home.

00:42:47.320 There's nothing guarding the hen house, and they are going in and they are doing whatever they want around the world, and it's a major problem.

00:42:54.380 Let's roll Biden wandering back to Camp David a few days ago so just people get the idea.

00:43:00.340 This is what's leading our country, and this is what's going to be on the debate stage tomorrow.

00:43:24.380 Notice how he zeroes in on the kid there, Mark.

00:43:32.340 Yeah, hopefully he wasn't sniffing his hair or touching him inappropriately. 0.98

00:43:40.020 But yet, you know, this is a perfect example of, again, this is what we're seeing because of a president, commander-in-chief who's incompetent, incontinent, and cognitively disabled. 0.53

00:43:50.940 We're seeing literally rioting and looting by our adversaries at the international level.

00:43:56.860 You know, I use an example of, you know, what's happening in Chicago, the rioting and looting.

00:44:01.180 Nobody held accountable.

00:44:02.640 In fact, they're giving a free pass.

00:44:04.200 It's just peaceful protesting.

00:44:05.540 But what we're seeing at the international level by our adversaries is a much larger version of this rioting and looting because no one's manning the store.

00:44:14.300 No one's holding these leaders accountable, and they don't feel intimidated by a guy, quite frankly, who's running around and chasing butterflies.

00:44:23.040 You know what?

00:44:23.440 These leaders are tough.

00:44:25.460 They're strong.

00:44:26.300 They're smart. 0.81

00:44:27.140 They're also evil.

00:44:29.820 And when they see a guy like Joe Biden, they know they can run over him all day long.

00:44:36.760 And that's exactly what's happening. 1.00

00:44:38.540 These leaders are not stupid. 0.95

00:44:40.700 And they know that they've just got a few more months to play, a few more months to make deals, a few more months to make havoc before there's a new sheriff in town. 0.97

00:44:51.560 And so I expect this, Troy, not to get better, but to get worse as we get closer to November.

00:44:57.240 Well, and so, Mark, my question to you is we saw in the Michigan Democratic primary that 100,000 people voted against Joe Biden in his own primary.

00:45:06.440 And most of this was due to a protest against his handling of the Israel-Hamas war.

00:45:13.560 Do you think that those people, what are they going to do come November, those 100,000 people in Michigan?

00:45:19.120 Are they going to stay home?

00:45:20.380 Are they going to vote for President Trump?

00:45:22.800 Will they choose an independent like Robert F. Kennedy?

00:45:25.420 What do you think they end up doing at the end?

00:45:28.480 I actually believe they're going to vote for President Trump because what President Trump has done is he's really realigned politics in America.

00:45:35.780 The Democratic Party is no longer the party of the working class.

00:45:39.140 It's no longer the party of the Black and Hispanic community.

00:45:42.760 That's now the party of Donald Trump.

00:45:45.580 That's the MAGA Republican Party. 0.85

00:45:47.600 You think about the First Step Act and how that really helped reverse the racist policies put in place by Joe Biden, who was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who wrote the Clinton crime bill that accelerated mass incarceration for Black and brown communities in America.

00:46:07.240 Donald Trump has really realigned the politics.

00:46:11.620 And as a result, we're going to see voters vote for Donald Trump that we've never seen before in modern political history.

00:46:18.580 I bet that Donald Trump is going to get more support in the Black community as much, if not more, than Richard Nixon, who got over 30 percent of the Black vote.

00:46:28.640 I think President Trump is on track to exceed that.

00:46:32.640 We've never seen anything like that in modern political history.

00:46:36.080 But there's no doubt in my mind that these voters in Michigan and Chicago and in Atlanta and Los Angeles and in the Bronx will be abandoning the Democratic Party, abandoning Joe Biden and voting for Donald Trump.

00:46:50.260 Well, and for all those voters out there, I think you have two appeals for voting for Donald Trump.

00:46:56.260 One, if you want peace, if you want the Palestine conflict to end, you want the bombs to stop falling. 0.51

00:47:03.540 The only candidate that has shown that he is capable of delivering that kind of result is Donald Trump.

00:47:10.960 So you have that on one hand.

00:47:12.180 If any of these people truly believe what they say and they want the bombs to stop falling, they want the bloodshed to end, that will stop under President Trump.

00:47:20.240 And he has said that.

00:47:21.480 He said that multiple times.

00:47:23.300 I think he was asked by fighter Khabib at the at the UFC event recently, believe that was in New Jersey.

00:47:31.620 And he said, I will stop the fighting.

00:47:33.480 I will stop the bloodshed.

00:47:34.740 When he was asked about Russia and Ukraine, he made a very clear statement.

00:47:40.040 He said, I don't care who wins.

00:47:42.280 I don't want any particular nation to win.

00:47:44.620 I want the killing to stop.

00:47:46.380 So for anybody out there that claims to be on the side of peace, for anybody out there that claims that they want the conflicts in Israel and Ukraine to end, they want to see peace.

00:47:55.880 Donald Trump is your candidate.

00:47:57.780 He is the one that has proven he's capable of delivering peace, not just in the Middle East, but across the world.

00:48:05.320 Under Joe Biden, we've seen all these conflicts erupt, Mark.

00:48:08.440 They've gotten worse and worse and worse.

00:48:10.740 And I think you're right that even if they don't see Trump as the guy who can bring peace, which many of them may not, you know, believe just because of the propaganda and things like that.

00:48:22.540 But I think there's a second element to this that will bring a lot of these voters out.

00:48:26.800 And that is the chaos element in that the more the mainstream that, you know, we just showed the clip yesterday of the pro-Palestine people attacking Jake Tapper's house, you know, bullhorning him, yelling at him.

00:48:40.200 Those people, they see the ones on the mainstream media, the leftists, the people pushing the propaganda, they see them as part of the Israel coalition.

00:48:52.160 They see everything in the slant of Israel-Palestine.

00:48:56.980 In that, I think, they see the press kind of freaking out over Donald Trump saying, oh, he's going to throw a monkey wrench in the system.

00:49:08.780 He's going to come after people who have been in government, which, you know, not 100% true.

00:49:13.860 He's going to enforce the rule of law.

00:49:15.720 So if there's people that have been in government that have broken the law, especially egregiously or maybe even committed treason,

00:49:21.380 as Roger often says, there is no statute of limitations on treason.

00:49:25.760 So it's not going after your political opponent to enforce the law.

00:49:31.340 It's going after your political opponent to bend the law and to bend the Justice Department and to use that to target your political opponents.

00:49:41.020 No, this is not targeting political opponents.

00:49:43.600 This is enforcing the rule of law.

00:49:45.660 And I think as the media freaks out more and more, oh, Trump is this outsider.

00:49:50.620 He's going to change everything.

00:49:52.200 I think that has the exact reverse opposite effect that the mainstream press thinks that it does.

00:49:58.220 I think that most people out there, they don't like the system.

00:50:02.220 They get screwed over by the system.

00:50:03.980 They don't like paying taxes. 0.72

00:50:05.940 They don't like the government.

00:50:07.240 So the idea that somebody is going to come in and shake things up, I think Trump's outsider appeal is greater now than maybe it even was in 2016.

00:50:17.220 He had a tough sell as an outsider who was president of the United States in 2020.

00:50:22.540 I still think he won that election pretty handedly, but there was a lot of election fraud.

00:50:27.260 And now I think he's situated better as an outsider than he ever has been.

00:50:31.940 What say you, Mark?

00:50:32.620 I think all President Trump has to do is ask the average American, are you better off today than you were four years ago?

00:50:40.100 And that answer is going to be 100 percent not.

00:50:43.220 Not only at the domestic level, but at the international level.

00:50:47.580 Not only at the grocery store, but in Ukraine and in Israel.

00:50:52.820 The world is a disaster.

00:50:55.000 It's falling apart at the seams.

00:50:57.560 And you're absolutely right.

00:50:59.340 Trump is, you know, as he went into the black community in 2015, asked, what have you got to lose?

00:51:06.560 Right.

00:51:06.960 And he can borrow that same line.

00:51:09.940 What have you got to lose?

00:51:12.120 We got to stop the killing.

00:51:14.040 We've got to be respected again internationally.

00:51:17.880 We've got to hold the line because if we don't if we don't win in November, we no longer have a country.

00:51:25.920 It's no longer the USA. 0.51

00:51:27.100 It's going to be the USSR. 0.98

00:51:29.500 Well, and Mark, you know, Biden has pushed us closer and closer to this.

00:51:33.660 I love this idea, by the way, Scranton, Joe.

00:51:36.940 Oh, every time Joe appears up before an audience, he's done for whatever that audience is for.

00:51:42.460 He's done that his entire life.

00:51:43.720 If it's plumbers, he's been a plumber his whole life.

00:51:46.020 If it's truck drivers, he's been a truck driver.

00:51:48.000 I've even heard him say that he was a coal miner at one point.

00:51:51.620 Really insane stuff.

00:51:53.160 But it just highlights this guy has a history of lying about basically everything.

00:51:57.940 And we have a clip that's a little long.

00:52:00.480 I want to play this before we get out of here and get your thoughts on it before we go.

00:52:04.860 But it's a clip highlighting throughout Biden's career where he's been caught plagiarizing different politicians.

00:52:10.500 Let's roll that clip and get Mark's thoughts.

00:52:12.380 Democratic presidential candidate Joseph Biden today faces a controversy.

00:52:17.960 Three weeks ago at a debate at the Iowa State Fair, he used phrases identical to those delivered by British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnick.

00:52:26.160 Biden seemed to be claiming Kinnick's vision and life as his own.

00:52:30.240 Why is it that my wife, who's sitting out there in the audience, is the first in her family to ever go to college? 0.98

00:52:36.940 Why is Gladys the first woman in her family in a thousand generations to be able to get the university? 1.00

00:52:44.800 My ancestors who worked in the coal mines in northeast Pennsylvania don't come up after 12 hours and play football.

00:52:50.220 Eight hours underground and then come up and play football.

00:52:53.340 It's because they didn't have a platform upon which to stand.

00:52:56.660 There was no platform upon which they could stand.

00:53:00.920 The notion that every thought or notion or idea you'd have to go back and find and attribute to someone, I think is, quite frankly, ludicrous.

00:53:09.220 The problem here is that Senator Biden told his audience he'd just been thinking about these things,

00:53:14.400 and he failed to give any credit at all to his famous British speechwriter.

00:53:19.280 You know, I was thinking on the way over here.

00:53:21.120 Now, that's a little too much, because, as you point out, what's behind the words?

00:53:27.100 What's there?

00:53:28.280 And a lot of people, a rap on Biden has always been that it's just a surface.

00:53:31.680 I should have said, to paraphrase Neil Kinnick, it's the only time I didn't, in all the times I've ever used it.

00:53:40.500 But CBS News found a tape of a second instance.

00:53:43.640 It reappeared in the New York Times with a new charge, that Biden had appropriated a famous litany from the late Robert Kennedy about what the gross national product cannot measure.

00:53:52.580 It cannot measure the health of our children.

00:53:54.740 The health of our children.

00:53:56.240 The quality of our education.

00:53:58.160 The quality of their education.

00:53:59.880 The joy of their play.

00:54:01.680 Or the joy of their play.

00:54:03.500 Biden gave Kennedy no credit.

00:54:05.580 He has also quoted or paraphrased John Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey, and British Labour Party leader Neil Kinnick, all without credit.

00:54:13.000 Joseph Biden admitted today that he committed plagiarism when he was in law school.

00:54:17.640 He said it was a mistake, but that it was unintentional.

00:54:20.940 He quoted five pages of someone else's work without proper citation. 0.90

00:54:24.920 I've done some dumb things, and I'll do dumb things again. 0.80

00:54:28.640 He was given an F. 0.99

00:54:29.780 Ladies and gentlemen, I've been dumb. 0.95

00:54:31.820 To the political community in Washington, it all seems of a piece. 0.97

00:54:35.340 Plagiarism at law school, plagiarism on the stump.

00:54:38.060 The great communicator. Strike that. The great imitator.

00:54:41.000 You don't steal verbatim, or when you do, as he did 99% of the time, you give credit.

00:54:48.520 Biden's critics say he sells himself as a man whose words and visions can inspire a new generation in politics.

00:54:55.180 But if the thoughts, phrases, and visions really belong to others, it's a form of false advertising.

00:55:00.820 Is it a wise idea, though, to take something that personal, anyway, from another politician and try and appropriate it to your own campaign? 0.88

00:55:08.040 I think it was a stupid thing to appropriate material that was really very personal that was someone else's. 0.83

00:55:13.620 Most people didn't know who he was, you know, Joe Biden, and now they're going to say, oh, yeah, he's the guy who plagiarized. 0.98

00:55:21.260 There's a lot of people.

00:55:21.860 Politically, that's devastating.

00:55:24.360 These clips are devastating.

00:55:25.660 He looks like a Joe Biden wind-up doll with somebody else's words coming out. 1.00

00:55:30.000 If they're going to do things that are stupid as well as immoral, then they're probably too dumb to have the job of president. 1.00

00:55:37.840 Voters are going to have to decide whether he was dishonest or dumb. 1.00

00:55:41.380 Senator Joseph Biden may have more explaining to do. 0.97

00:55:43.960 The new questions stem from taped remarks of Biden during an April campaign appearance in New Hampshire.

00:55:50.600 I went to law school on a full academic scholarship, the only one in my class to have a full academic scholarship.

00:55:57.840 Went back to law school and, in fact, ended up in the top half of my class.

00:56:01.920 I was the outstanding student in the political science department at the end of my year.

00:56:05.620 I graduated with three degrees from undergraduate school and 165 credits, only 123 credits.

00:56:10.940 Biden now concedes he did not graduate in the top half of his law school class, that he does not have three degrees from college,

00:56:17.620 and that he was not named outstanding political science student in college.

00:56:21.420 Newsweek says Biden actually went to school on a half scholarship, ended up near the bottom of his class, and won only one degree, not three.

00:56:28.740 Joe Biden ranked 76th in the class of 85 at the University of Syracuse Law School.

00:56:34.280 I mean, this guy comes off this whole thing as a flyweight.

00:56:37.320 Now Biden says Newsweek is right. His memory had failed him.

00:56:40.380 And I'd be delighted to sit down and compare my IQ to yours if you'd like, frankly.

00:56:44.380 Joe Biden was victimized by the truth.

00:56:46.580 Bye-bye Biden. He may not know it yet, but I think this is going to be very difficult for him to recover.

00:56:52.160 Is Joe Biden dead meat, yes or no?

00:56:54.780 I think so.

00:56:55.700 Bob?

00:56:56.380 It's in terminal condition.

00:56:58.320 Terminal?

00:56:59.660 Eleanor?

00:57:00.620 Yes, unless he comes in third in Iowa.

00:57:02.600 Morton dying.

00:57:03.780 Well, Mark, I mean, just an unbelievable thing.

00:57:07.520 To think that this has been going on for that long, it's a tremendous thing.
