00:10:45.720 We see directly coming from Russia attempts to mass communications that are anti-Ukraine and pro-Russia messages,

00:21:52.140 to how and if to restrict abortion should be left into the states.
00:21:56.300 But Joe Biden is out there right away saying Trump will end IVF, and he wants a national
00:22:04.140 abortion ban.
00:22:05.480 These people are shameless in their lives, but they really have no choice, Troy.
00:22:11.020 They can't run on Joe's record because Joe's record is terrible.

00:24:06.820 Well, Roger, and I just wanted to ask you, you know, because I was looking at the electoral
00:24:10.220 map this morning, and, you know, it's kind of an interesting situation in the state of
00:24:15.740 Florida that we have here.
00:24:16.880 Because I think it's pretty clear.
00:24:18.920 In order, Trump has to carry the state of Florida in order to win the 2024 election.
00:24:23.200 I'm interested to get your thoughts on that.
00:24:24.600 And I think it's kind of a given that he has to win Florida.
00:24:27.980 And there's actually some talks about a situation that may actually endanger his ability to win
00:24:34.700 the state of Florida at all.
00:24:36.640 And I was doing some research on this prior to the show.
00:24:40.920 In 2000, they knew it was going to be a close election.
00:24:44.220 And George Bush was selecting Dick Cheney, who had been living in the state of Texas.
00:24:48.100 And in order to pick Cheney as his vice president, Cheney actually sold his house in Texas and
00:24:54.880 moved to Wyoming shortly before Bush selected him.
00:24:58.440 And he did that because there's actually a stipulation in the Constitution that prevents
00:25:04.220 a ticket that includes two people of the same party from the electors for the election selecting
00:25:11.520 two candidates that are from the same state.
00:25:13.880 So say, you know, you have a Texas elector that is voting for the Bush-Cheney ticket.
00:25:18.720 If they're both, if both Bush and Cheney are residents of the state of Texas, they can't
00:25:23.640 vote for both of them.
00:25:25.140 And that's a, that's a major problem.
00:25:26.620 And it would have cost them the state of Texas, which is a huge piece of the Republican
00:25:30.500 electoral map.
00:25:31.760 So I've heard that, that, that there are talks of, of maybe somebody from Florida, like
00:25:37.260 a Byron Donald's being selected as Trump's running mate.
00:25:40.080 I'd like you to speak on this because I know you've done more research on this.
00:25:42.900 So you know a lot more about this than I or, or many other people do, because it's just,
00:25:47.120 it's, it's such a, if Trump loses Florida, he loses the election.
00:25:51.000 Is that correct?
00:25:52.400 I think he does need to carry Florida.
00:25:54.760 Let me try to clarify this because it's a little complicated.
00:25:57.920 First of all, let's recognize the Democrats have recently placed constitutional amendments,
00:26:03.280 legalizing marijuana, and also basically rescinding Governor Ron DeSantis' six weeks abortion
00:26:11.380 ban.
00:26:13.160 And that means that you're going to get a heightened Democrat turnout.
00:26:18.100 So anyone who thinks Florida is in the bag or safe doesn't understand that Florida is
00:26:23.960 not a red state.
00:26:25.500 Florida is a purple state.
00:26:27.800 Will the president win here?
00:26:29.060 Yes, I think he will, but not without a hard fought battle.
00:26:33.200 Now, the 12th Amendment of the Constitution actually does not specifically prohibit a party from
00:26:40.760 nominating two individuals who are legal residents of the same state.
00:26:46.300 It can be done.
00:26:48.100 However, if a party were to do so and that ticket were to carry Florida, let's say, then essentially
00:26:56.760 you would forfeit the Electoral College votes of the state.
00:27:01.540 They cannot vote for both president and vice president.
00:27:05.040 In other words, you'd give up 37 votes.
00:27:07.980 That would seem, at least on the surface, to rule out Congressman Byron Donalds, who I like
00:27:15.320 very much, and Senator Marco Rubio, who I think has been a very effective senator.
00:27:22.220 I have some policy disagreements with him, but I actually like him very much.
00:27:26.180 He's been very good to my family when it comes to constituent services.
00:27:29.960 But there is, of course, a cure, meaning I've seen a legal opinion that says as long as the
00:27:40.880 president and vice presidential candidates were not residents of the same state at the time
00:27:48.920 the Electoral College met, that you could preserve the votes.
00:27:53.980 Now, I don't know if that's legally correct, because I'm not an attorney,
00:27:58.860 but I have read the Twelfth Amendment of the Constitution several times.
00:28:03.840 It would seem to me that this would be an unnecessary distraction in an election, and therefore, this
00:28:11.700 is just my opinion, but I think it is unlikely that in the end the president will choose a running
00:28:20.680 mate from his home state of Florida.
00:28:24.120 It leads us to the larger question of a vice presidential candidate.
00:28:30.860 I get the clear impression, talking to the president, without getting into any specifics,
00:28:35.820 that his mind is still open.
00:28:37.660 He's still looking at a substantial number of people.
00:28:40.860 I think the list is probably getting slightly larger rather than slightly smaller.
00:28:45.900 Don't think there really is a front runner yet.
00:28:49.180 There is a process that every party, both parties go through, where there first has to be a certain
00:28:55.860 vetting of all of the candidates.
00:28:58.820 You want to make sure that any prospective candidate who's on your final list has nothing in their
00:29:06.640 background of which you are unaware that could emerge during the campaign and damage the ticket.
00:29:13.140 So that will have to be done.
00:29:15.380 That's done by both parties every four years, and it is part of the process.
00:29:23.640 Let's recognize that he doesn't really have to make a decision until the eve of the Republican
00:29:29.400 National Convention.
00:29:31.000 I could see him, much like The Apprentice, boiling this down to, I don't know, four or five individuals,
00:29:40.720 and then having each one of them visit him at Mar-a-Lago for a discussion, hype that in the media.
00:29:49.100 So it's very much like the show The Apprentice.
00:29:52.980 And of course, he would get an enormous amount of free press out of it.
00:29:57.800 It appears to me that the president's trial in New York is going to move forward.
00:30:03.380 That despite the fact that the president's lawyers have moved to recuse the judge, it's bad enough
00:30:10.320 that the judge gave a campaign contribution to Joe Biden in violation of the judicial canon of ethics.
00:30:17.120 He should have had the good judgment to recuse himself then.
00:30:19.880 But now, without any question, Laura Loomer has proven, without a shadow of a doubt,
00:30:25.880 that the judge's adult daughter, who's a Democratic political fundraiser,
00:30:30.880 has raised millions of dollars for Democrats based on this trial.
00:30:36.300 That means the judge has an egregious conflict of interest.
00:30:40.560 If the trial goes forward and the president is convicted because of the makeup of a Manhattan jury,
00:30:47.760 that alone would be grounds for appeal.
00:30:51.660 But Judge Merchant shows no indication that he is going to recuse himself.
00:30:58.300 And therefore, I'm becoming even more skeptical that the president will get a fair trial.
00:31:05.080 As we've discussed, Troy, Mr. Bragg, who I don't really think is terribly capable,
00:31:13.600 has not yet articulated the underlying crime.

00:47:42.560 well, then he has to pay for it out of his campaign funds and it's extraordinarily expensive.
00:47:46.940 Two, I think they believe that it connotes upon him an image of viability, an image of legitimacy.
00:47:58.960 And thirdly, I hate to say this, they probably hope someone shoots him because right now he's taking more votes away from Biden than he is from Trump.
00:48:09.340 So, my family and I, we pray for a long list of people every Sunday.
00:48:16.660 It's funny, Troy, the list keeps getting longer and longer and longer.
00:48:20.580 But I pray for Robert Kennedy's safety.
00:48:23.440 I don't support his candidacy.

00:49:40.920 who really comes out of nowhere as this liberal Democrat donor who has pumped a lot of money into Robert F. Kennedy,
00:49:48.440 he poses a bigger threat to Democrats at this point than he did for President Trump.
00:49:52.660 And it's weird how his candidacy has kind of shifted, Roger,
00:49:55.580 because it started where he was a threat to Biden as a Democrat running against Biden.
00:50:00.360 Then it became that he was a threat to Trump because upon entering the races in Independent,
00:50:05.640 we found that he took a majority of support away from President Trump rather than Biden.
00:50:09.940 And then now with the selection of Shanahan, he's taking more from Biden.
00:50:13.180 So he's really pinballing back and forth here towards the election.
