The StoneZONE with Roger Stone - Robert Davi ｜ 09-12-25

00:00:00.460 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:00:07.280 Welcome back into The Stone Zone.

00:00:10.340 Joining me now, Robert Davi.

00:00:12.160 He is an international, multi-dimensional star, an award-winning, prolific actor with

00:00:18.360 well over 150 films to his credit.

00:00:21.840 He's also a screenwriter, director, producer, many not be aware of this, but an incredible

00:00:27.040 jazz vocalist until you've seen him before live, you really haven't lived.

00:00:31.780 He's also a patriot.

00:00:33.940 He was named by the Italian-American Civil Rights League last December as one of their

00:00:37.940 Men of the Year.

00:00:39.220 He is a man who says what he means and means what he says.

00:00:42.880 Robert Davi, welcome into The Stone Zone.

00:00:46.440 Thank you so much, Roger.

00:00:47.800 God bless you into this wonderful zone, especially this time of our lives.

00:00:53.880 It is a tragic time for America.

00:00:57.840 I've had this feeling before.

00:00:59.260 I had it, you know, as a schoolboy when I heard that John F. Kennedy had been shot and

00:01:03.160 killed.

00:01:03.900 I had it when I heard that President Ronald Reagan had been shot.

00:01:09.820 Thank God he survived.

00:01:11.060 I had this same feeling when I first heard that Donald Trump had been shot in Butler, Pennsylvania,

00:01:17.960 which, due to the grace of God, he survived yet again when he was attacked in West Palm

00:01:25.280 Beach.

00:01:26.060 But sadly, on this occasion, the assassin's bullet hit its mark in our friend Charlie Kirk, one

00:01:33.680 of the most influential young conservatives in history, was cut down in the prime of life.

00:01:39.640 Ralph, you sent me a truly moving, I guess I would call him a poem, I'm not sure, that

00:01:47.600 you put together this morning.

00:01:48.940 I was so moved by it that I asked you to join us today.

00:01:52.640 Tell us your feelings at this moment and hold forth.

00:01:55.800 Well, I had, of course, as we all had, a shot to the solar plexus, what happened, and it

00:02:05.160 did bring us back to when we were kids with JFK and RFK and Martin Luther and Malcolm, you

00:02:11.020 know, assassinations because of political beliefs, especially in America, this country

00:02:15.940 of ours.

00:02:16.420 So I wrote these words, and I'll read them to you now, Roger, with your permission.

00:02:23.140 Please.

00:02:24.200 For your audience.

00:02:26.380 Charlie Kirk gave his life not out of hate, but love.

00:02:30.040 My first reaction was to go nuclear on the left because of what my dear friend and brother

00:02:35.280 Andrew Breibart called righteous indignation, and I felt that.

00:02:39.380 The left in America has lied, spewed hatred, lawlessness, and violence, sedition.

00:02:43.440 Charlie was a man of peace, truth, and courage.

00:02:47.940 His whole essence was one of living a life based on Jesus Christ.

00:02:52.240 While my own initial response was of rage, I bended knee and asked God for a way forward.

00:02:59.000 I had a grandfather and a younger sister murdered, and while I wanted to avenge their deaths,

00:03:05.200 my Catholic upbringing and prayer quenched my raging soul. 0.76

00:03:09.440 My being violent was not the answer.

00:03:11.240 I find myself feeling the same way over Charlie's murder, but prayer once again led me to a

00:03:17.680 more powerful and positive place.

00:03:21.080 I thought deeply of Charlie in turning point.

00:03:24.300 He is a biblical figure, and his message was clear.

00:03:29.320 The defile it with hatred would not honor him.

00:03:32.560 What does honor him is a call to action.

00:03:35.340 So I thought of Shakespeare's speech from Henry V, which is a call to battle.

00:03:41.980 I rewrote it, applying what Charlie Kirk stood for and was martyred for.

00:03:47.320 Here, a call to action, a call for righteous indignation, but using truth, courage, and love as the ultimate weapons

00:03:54.320 in the battle for not only the soul of America, but mankind.

00:03:57.340 Thank you, Charlie, turning point, and all who understand.

00:04:02.280 Do not be afraid, do not hate, but battle we must, as angels against the forces of evil

00:04:07.300 who want to sow hatred, division, and violence.

00:04:11.380 I hope you receive this with wisdom, the kind of wisdom Charlie gave the youth he so loved and gave his life.

00:04:17.180 Now, these are inspired by Shakespeare's Henry V.

00:04:22.020 Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more,

00:04:25.300 I'll close the wall up with our righteous martyr's blood.

00:04:28.960 In peace there's nothing so becomes a soul as faith and humble love for God.

00:04:33.880 But when the lies of tyrants tear our country apart,

00:04:37.260 then rise with Charlie's words and zeal, ablaze with truth.

00:04:41.520 Stiffen your hearts, summon the blood with strength of grace and faith.

00:04:45.360 Let holy fire burn through deceit's dark veil.

00:04:50.300 Let your spirit shine with heaven's might.

00:04:52.980 Let it blaze like beacons through the fog of lies,

00:04:55.860 bold as the cross that Christ himself did take.

00:04:58.960 Unbowed by waves of malice and despair,

00:05:01.560 now lift up your hearts in prayers

00:05:03.280 and share in this cross we all must bear.

00:05:07.800 Set your conscience free

00:05:09.200 and bend up every spirit to its eternal height.

00:05:12.640 On, on, you faithful heirs of turning

00:05:15.300 point whose blood is stirred

00:05:16.660 by Kirk's unyielding creed.

00:05:19.400 Sons and daughters who with him stood tall

00:05:21.680 from campus halls to nation's heart

00:05:24.800 they fought.

00:05:26.480 Now unleash your swords of truth to win the day.

00:05:29.380 Shield his wife and children, cover them with love.

00:05:32.460 Dishonor not his mission.

00:05:34.620 Now attest

00:05:35.300 that Charlie's vision lives within your blood.

00:05:38.780 Be now a light to those lost in the dark.

00:05:41.240 Be not afraid to teach them how to stand.

00:05:44.340 And you, good souls,

00:05:45.900 whose hearts were forged in America's promise,

00:05:48.560 show us here the medal of your sacred call.

00:05:51.840 Let us swear you are worthy of this fight.

00:05:54.720 For none among you lack the spark of courage divine,

00:05:58.080 the gleam of God's own truth within your eyes.

00:06:01.180 Confront the scribes of media's false tales,

00:06:04.000 the Hollywood deceivers cloaked in charm,

00:06:05.920 and politicians with seditious lies

00:06:08.300 who lead astray the hearts of honest men.

00:06:11.840 Their words, like venom, poison liberty's well 0.97

00:06:14.380 and purposely try to bring you all to hell. 0.99

00:06:18.140 Reject their lies 0.94

00:06:19.180 and let truth's banner soar.

00:06:22.740 I see you stand like warriors of the cross,

00:06:24.920 straining for the charge.

00:06:26.360 The fight is now.

00:06:27.860 Follow his spirit.

00:06:29.360 And upon this charge,

00:06:31.080 pray God for Charlie,

00:06:32.820 faith, America,

00:06:33.760 and turning point.

00:06:35.300 Robert, I want to thank you for joining us

00:06:37.220 with those moving words.

00:06:38.620 I was moved by them

00:06:40.240 when I read them this morning

00:06:41.240 and I really appreciate you

00:06:42.500 making yourself available

00:06:43.960 to share them with us today.

00:06:45.760 At just 31 years old,

00:06:47.040 Charlie Kirk was gunned down

00:06:48.320 in what appears to be

00:06:49.020 a premeditated attack by a lone shooter

00:06:50.980 propped up on a roof.

00:06:52.840 There's still many, many questions

00:06:54.120 about his assassination.

00:06:55.680 I'm not prepared to just accept

00:06:57.880 the claims of the government

00:06:59.300 because of the lies they told us in the past

00:07:01.140 about the murders of JFK.

00:07:03.280 Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,

00:07:05.060 Dr. King, and others.

00:07:07.120 This horrendous act of violence

00:07:09.140 not only robs us

00:07:10.160 of one of our most dynamic voices

00:07:12.400 in the fight against tyranny,

00:07:14.080 but it also exposes the dangers

00:07:16.160 that lurk under the occurrence

00:07:17.800 of radicalism,

00:07:19.160 which has been fostered against us

00:07:20.560 this past decade.

00:07:22.100 Charlie Kirk's death

00:07:23.000 makes him nothing short of a martyr.

00:07:25.820 Kirk was not just a political activist.

00:07:28.220 He was a beacon of hope

00:07:29.760 for young Americans

00:07:30.680 deluded by the progressive indoctrination

00:07:33.780 running rampant in our schools

00:07:35.580 and our universities.

00:07:37.740 I spoke at a number of his

00:07:39.520 Turning Point USA events.

00:07:41.160 I was honored to do so.

00:07:43.540 I saw how he inculcated

00:07:46.220 and educated young people

00:07:47.920 about the virtues of free speech,

00:07:50.280 free enterprise,

00:07:53.560 capitalism,

00:07:55.000 reverence to God.

00:07:57.400 This idea

00:07:58.440 that he somehow brought

00:08:00.060 this horrible wrath upon himself

00:08:01.960 because of his radical ideas, 0.86

00:08:05.060 this is particularly repugnant to me.

00:08:08.280 Yes, me too, Roger.

00:08:09.960 Roger, remember when Hillary Clinton

00:08:11.440 called everyone

00:08:12.420 a basket of deplorables?

00:08:14.720 And the left has continued disarm

00:08:16.580 since Donald Trump

00:08:17.460 put his hat in the ring

00:08:19.040 because they knew

00:08:19.820 he was a disruptor

00:08:20.980 of the status quo

00:08:22.400 and the corruption

00:08:23.280 that buried us for decades.

00:08:27.060 And this is what it leads to.

00:08:28.400 And they have continued.

00:08:29.680 They have continued

00:08:30.800 these voices of hatred

00:08:32.280 and division and violence.

00:08:34.680 And they're walking it back now.

00:08:36.600 It's strange to me

00:08:38.300 how they're walking it back now.

00:08:40.180 And we just have to go forward.

00:08:42.560 Not violence,

00:08:43.740 but I hope it encourages people

00:08:45.560 that have been silent,

00:08:47.560 that have been frightened

00:08:48.340 to speak because of

00:08:49.940 being blacklisted

00:08:51.120 or not being invited

00:08:52.520 to a cool party

00:08:53.740 or having Thanksgiving dinner.

00:08:55.920 But to be able to carry on

00:08:57.320 that tradition that Charlie did

00:08:58.740 in terms of going into places

00:09:00.940 that didn't want to have discussion

00:09:03.280 and discussing

00:09:04.440 is what you've been doing

00:09:05.500 your whole life, Roger.

00:09:07.640 No, it's exactly true.

00:09:08.880 He went right into

00:09:09.620 the belly of the beast,

00:09:10.820 but always in good faith,

00:09:12.580 always up for a good,

00:09:14.600 robust argument.

00:09:16.240 But always,

00:09:17.460 he always came in peace.

00:09:19.040 They now try to demonize him.

00:09:21.060 Oh, the Guardian,

00:09:22.040 which to me is the most despicable

00:09:23.540 so-called media outlet

00:09:25.340 in the world,

00:09:26.720 calling him a racist, 0.80

00:09:28.680 a bigot, 1.00

00:09:29.280 a white supremacist. 0.99

00:09:30.260 We've heard it all before. 0.95

00:09:31.620 When Hillary Clinton

00:09:32.840 called us deplorables,

00:09:35.280 that wasn't just

00:09:36.320 an off-the-cuff comment.

00:09:37.780 That was something

00:09:38.320 that they had focused group.

00:09:39.680 They had polled.

00:09:40.420 They had tested.

00:09:41.440 They thought that it would

00:09:42.560 energize these mindless 0.99

00:09:46.480 left-wing zombies 0.99

00:09:47.500 who were voting for her 0.78

00:09:49.560 and for the continuation

00:09:51.440 of the corrupt regime

00:09:52.900 that she represented. 0.93

00:09:54.540 It is despicable

00:09:56.580 some of these voices

00:09:58.300 on media

00:09:59.300 and the attacks

00:10:00.240 on,

00:10:01.100 and also watching those

00:10:03.020 exulting in his death.

00:10:05.700 It's really nauseating.

00:10:09.160 I've had a very hard time

00:10:10.860 with this because

00:10:11.780 I have spoken

00:10:14.500 in these outdoor rallies.

00:10:15.700 I've spoken to these

00:10:16.520 outdoor events.

00:10:18.220 I've had to travel

00:10:19.200 with professional security.

00:10:21.380 My own family

00:10:22.220 fears for my safety,

00:10:23.720 but I'm afraid...

00:10:25.620 Roger,

00:10:25.980 they blew down your door

00:10:27.340 in the middle of the night.

00:10:29.160 You have to tell me.

00:10:30.560 29 heavily armed FBI agents

00:10:32.480 fully arrived in SWAT gear.

00:10:35.000 Why?

00:10:35.360 They could have called my lawyer.

00:10:36.820 They could have said,

00:10:37.520 oh, we're charging your client,

00:10:38.700 bring him in.

00:10:39.200 I certainly would have

00:10:40.820 volunteered successfully,

00:10:42.640 but no,

00:10:43.040 they had to do this

00:10:43.860 over-the-top raid

00:10:45.640 on my home

00:10:46.360 and the worst part,

00:10:47.280 of course,

00:10:47.900 Robert,

00:10:48.220 as you know,

00:10:48.780 is the CNN camera crew.

00:10:51.260 It's 25 feet

00:10:52.560 from my front door.

00:10:54.220 And when a local

00:10:55.080 Fort Lauderdale police officer

00:10:56.500 who'd been called in

00:10:57.500 to back up the FBI

00:10:58.740 tells the CNN camera crew

00:11:01.380 that they have to

00:11:02.760 go back behind

00:11:04.520 a rope line

00:11:05.520 with all the other media,

00:11:07.100 you know,

00:11:07.300 roughly a half mile

00:11:08.480 away from my home

00:11:09.540 where the rest of the media

00:11:10.680 was kept at bay,

00:11:12.040 he got chewed out

00:11:12.860 by an FBI agent

00:11:13.960 who said,

00:11:14.400 no, no,

00:11:14.660 you don't understand.

00:11:15.360 They have special permission

00:11:16.500 to be there

00:11:17.580 to capture

00:11:18.380 my humiliation,

00:11:19.680 to capture

00:11:20.520 my wife

00:11:21.680 being frog-marched

00:11:23.960 out of the house

00:11:24.600 in handcuffs

00:11:25.300 when she's done

00:11:26.360 nothing wrong.

00:11:27.940 So these over-the-top

00:11:29.500 bully tactics,

00:11:30.600 these Gestapo tactics,

00:11:32.340 were utilized

00:11:33.440 by the previous

00:11:34.160 administrations

00:11:34.940 and they continue

00:11:36.380 to be used

00:11:37.240 against individual

00:11:38.280 conservatives today.

00:11:40.020 Can I ask you something

00:11:41.460 which really gets me

00:11:42.800 upset

00:11:43.120 is Gavin Newsom.

00:11:45.080 Gavin Newsom,

00:11:45.860 I don't know

00:11:47.580 why people

00:11:48.200 don't confront him

00:11:51.080 more directly.

00:11:52.940 I don't understand

00:11:54.060 how he gets a pass.

00:11:56.420 It's perplexing to me

00:11:58.000 because he's part

00:11:58.820 of their thing,

00:12:00.040 part of their thinking,

00:12:01.480 but yet there seems

00:12:02.380 to be a certain

00:12:03.320 kind of,

00:12:04.980 yeah,

00:12:06.560 and it's

00:12:09.600 horrific.

00:12:11.260 The only thing

00:12:12.000 you can say about him

00:12:12.800 is he's got great hair.

00:12:13.960 Other than that,

00:12:14.820 there is no there there.

00:12:16.660 He's evidently

00:12:17.660 running for president

00:12:18.700 if he can squeeze out

00:12:20.540 J.B. Pritzker,

00:12:21.540 which,

00:12:21.960 who knows,

00:12:22.880 but what's he going

00:12:24.000 to run on?

00:12:24.600 He'll do for America

00:12:25.440 what he did for California?

00:12:26.960 California,

00:12:27.880 one of the most

00:12:28.300 beautiful states

00:12:29.000 in the nation,

00:12:30.240 is a basket case

00:12:31.580 in every regard,

00:12:32.640 homelessness,

00:12:33.280 taxes.

00:12:33.840 I left it.

00:12:34.600 You left it.

00:12:35.300 I left it after 48 years

00:12:36.480 because of this,

00:12:37.900 but yet what happens

00:12:39.380 is you have

00:12:40.320 the Jimmy Kimmel's

00:12:41.460 and the Bill Maher's

00:12:42.740 and the MSNBC's

00:12:45.160 and the Hollywood elite.

00:12:46.820 Bill Maher said,

00:12:47.760 and he had

00:12:48.340 Patrick Bette David

00:12:51.140 on the show,

00:12:52.060 going that,

00:12:52.940 Gavin Newsom,

00:12:53.740 I want him to run

00:12:54.460 because he's a winner.

00:12:55.540 But David said,

00:12:56.720 well,

00:12:56.960 what has he done?

00:12:58.900 He wouldn't answer him.

00:13:00.240 He says,

00:13:00.440 it doesn't matter.

00:13:01.000 He's a winner.

00:13:01.500 But what has he done?

00:13:02.960 This is Bill Maher

00:13:03.620 who pretends to be

00:13:05.020 a nice liberal moderate

00:13:07.960 that says something,

00:13:10.180 but then yet

00:13:10.780 is back in the tank

00:13:12.560 for the most absurdities

00:13:14.180 in the political process.

00:13:17.300 It's,

00:13:18.420 you know better than I,

00:13:20.440 it's perplexing to me

00:13:21.740 and frustrating.

00:13:22.800 Yeah,

00:13:22.920 I've done Bill Maher's show

00:13:24.200 several times.

00:13:24.980 Actually,

00:13:25.480 as a favorable friend,

00:13:26.460 I did his initial pilot

00:13:27.820 for politically incorrect.

00:13:31.500 And I can tell you right now,

00:13:33.280 without a platoon

00:13:33.960 of comedy writers,

00:13:34.960 this guy isn't even

00:13:35.720 faintly amusing.

00:13:37.320 I mean,

00:13:37.660 this guy can't do anything

00:13:39.100 off the cuff.

00:13:40.060 He'd be mute without that.

00:13:42.940 And when you get there,

00:13:43.920 they take you

00:13:44.420 to your dressing room.

00:13:45.180 It's very nice.

00:13:45.840 You have a nice looking

00:13:47.260 young lady who's a page, 0.99

00:13:48.620 takes you to your dressing room.

00:13:50.060 They've got a star on the door

00:13:52.120 with your name on it.

00:13:53.000 It's very cool.

00:13:54.080 And then his producer comes in

00:13:55.380 and he says,

00:13:56.140 so we're glad to have you

00:13:57.280 on the show with Bill today.

00:13:58.880 But Roger,

00:13:59.640 there's one thing.

00:14:00.440 What is it?

00:14:01.500 Whatever you do,

00:14:02.360 don't try to be funnier

00:14:03.260 than Bill.

00:14:04.160 I said,

00:14:04.380 pardon me?

00:14:05.280 Don't try to be funnier

00:14:06.420 than Bill.

00:14:07.060 I said,

00:14:07.520 well,

00:14:07.720 but Bill's working

00:14:08.860 with a phalanx

00:14:10.860 of comedy writers.

00:14:12.120 And I use that old joke.

00:14:14.220 I said,

00:14:14.440 I live by my uncles.

00:14:16.140 Pardon me,

00:14:16.540 I live by my wits.

00:14:17.800 My uncles,

00:14:18.460 Lebowitz and Markowitz.

00:14:19.940 No,

00:14:20.180 I'm Italian.

00:14:20.620 But this is,

00:14:23.140 it's a Hollywood facade.

00:14:24.880 This guy is not clever. 0.57

00:14:26.580 He's not quick-witted.

00:14:28.020 He's not entertaining.

00:14:29.220 It's all,

00:14:29.860 it's all on index cards.

00:14:31.640 Controlled.

00:14:32.000 It's all controlled.

00:14:33.500 Like they,

00:14:34.420 they all,

00:14:34.580 it's absolutely controlled propaganda.

00:14:37.120 And what it is,

00:14:39.940 is the people,

00:14:40.940 it just is,

00:14:41.900 it is,

00:14:43.300 we have to have people

00:14:44.620 that speak up

00:14:46.100 and stand up

00:14:46.860 and tell the truth continually.

00:14:48.540 Much more.

00:14:49.720 That are inside Hollywood.

00:14:51.420 That are,

00:14:51.980 I know many people,

00:14:54.120 very known,

00:14:55.660 frightened.

00:14:56.920 They won't say a word.

00:14:58.720 And if they did,

00:14:59.600 it could make a difference

00:15:00.560 and have a turning point.

00:15:02.280 But they don't.

00:15:03.860 And no one confronts this,

00:15:05.360 Gavin Newsom.

00:15:06.480 They'll do his show,

00:15:07.520 they'll sit down,

00:15:08.460 and I'm sure he's a charming guy,

00:15:10.160 but you have to say at some point,

00:15:12.100 Gavin,

00:15:12.740 you're full of S.H.

00:15:14.400 You know what I mean?

00:15:15.220 Come on,

00:15:15.500 let's be honest.

00:15:16.460 You ruined California.

00:15:17.960 You ruined San Francisco.

00:15:19.080 You gave over a billion dollar contract

00:15:20.920 to the Chinese

00:15:22.320 for masks

00:15:23.920 during COVID

00:15:25.480 that

00:15:26.480 never made a mask

00:15:28.100 in their life,

00:15:28.740 but did

00:15:29.060 what they do,

00:15:30.520 electric cars

00:15:31.420 and electric buses.

00:15:34.120 And that's right before

00:15:35.140 they went into Afghanistan,

00:15:36.080 a couple of days

00:15:36.900 before the Chinese 1.00

00:15:37.760 got that,

00:15:39.060 the mineral rights.

00:15:40.220 Nobody brings it up

00:15:41.140 for this guy.

00:15:43.100 And what they're doing

00:15:44.000 in Pacific Palisades

00:15:45.700 with the fires,

00:15:46.940 no reservoirs,

00:15:48.020 when a Republican

00:15:49.120 Pete Wilson in 1990

00:15:50.540 wanted reservoirs

00:15:52.080 in California

00:15:53.140 to collect

00:15:54.220 trillions of gallons

00:15:55.400 of rainwater

00:15:56.120 and they said

00:15:56.960 no because

00:15:57.540 of a

00:15:58.000 a spy

00:16:00.220 a spy fish

00:16:01.400 that's a quarter

00:16:02.320 of an inch

00:16:02.860 that could be put

00:16:04.200 anywhere.

00:16:05.900 It's

00:16:06.040 it's

00:16:06.400 and the left

00:16:07.680 did that

00:16:08.540 in California

00:16:09.580 but yet

00:16:10.240 it continues.

00:16:12.140 All right,

00:16:12.340 we're going to take

00:16:12.760 a quick break.

00:16:52.520 And we're back

00:16:53.560 in The Stone Zone.

00:16:55.020 I'm here with my friend

00:16:56.020 Robert Javi,

00:16:56.900 the international

00:16:57.820 multidimensional star,

00:17:00.600 actor,

00:17:01.440 singer,

00:17:02.060 screenwriter,

00:17:02.820 director,

00:17:03.760 producer,

00:17:04.600 but above all,

00:17:05.340 patriot.

00:17:06.620 By the way,

00:17:07.480 Robert,

00:17:07.780 you are my favorite

00:17:08.640 Bond villain of all time.

00:17:10.040 Above all time.

00:17:10.900 It's not even close.

00:17:11.660 And, you know,

00:17:14.420 my grandchildren

00:17:15.680 are so impressed

00:17:16.580 that I know you.

00:17:17.600 It's beyond belief.

00:17:19.320 That's very sweet.

00:17:20.440 And all the guys,

00:17:21.260 all the young guys

00:17:22.160 who work for me,

00:17:22.960 to them,

00:17:23.560 every one of them,

00:17:24.320 Goonies,

00:17:24.880 is their favorite movie

00:17:25.980 of all time.

00:17:27.120 They always say,

00:17:27.660 oh, you got the Goonies

00:17:28.560 guys coming back on.

00:17:30.840 Yeah, Goonies

00:17:31.460 is the 40th anniversary

00:17:33.380 of Goonies.

00:17:35.100 I'll be in Orlando

00:17:35.980 next week

00:17:36.780 doing a comm.

00:17:39.020 We're signing autographs

00:17:39.980 so the cast will be there.

00:17:40.920 It's actually

00:17:41.520 going to be a lot of fun.

00:17:44.700 But, yeah,

00:17:45.520 Goonies,

00:17:45.960 the kids love it

00:17:46.720 and it's been generational.

00:17:49.340 You also had the opportunity

00:17:50.720 to work with Frank Sinatra.

00:17:52.360 I mean,

00:17:52.520 I had a chance to meet him

00:17:53.520 when I was working

00:17:54.940 for Ronald Reagan

00:17:55.680 in his re-election

00:17:56.400 in 1984,

00:17:57.500 but you knew him

00:17:59.460 on a whole different level

00:18:00.460 to me.

00:18:01.620 Oh, blue eyes.

00:18:02.640 That is the gold standard.

00:18:03.840 That's as great as it gets.

00:18:05.720 That guy,

00:18:06.620 let me tell you,

00:18:07.680 I always say

00:18:08.240 for Italian Americans

00:18:09.180 growing up,

00:18:10.840 there were two figures,

00:18:11.740 the Pope and Sinatra,

00:18:13.320 and not necessarily

00:18:14.160 in that order

00:18:14.820 because he did so much

00:18:16.400 for the Italian-American

00:18:17.400 immigrant community.

00:18:18.780 He did so much

00:18:19.560 against anti-Semitism

00:18:20.540 and racial bigotry

00:18:21.700 and then his amazing

00:18:23.860 contribution

00:18:24.400 to the American songbook

00:18:25.920 and America Around the World

00:18:27.660 and his volunteer work

00:18:28.880 and the billions he raised.

00:18:30.480 And he was quite

00:18:33.160 an individual, Roger.

00:18:34.280 He was really,

00:18:35.440 I did my first film

00:18:36.420 with him in 1977

00:18:37.620 and he and I

00:18:39.400 got together.

00:18:40.600 He saw that I was

00:18:41.880 a forceps baby

00:18:42.700 because he saw

00:18:43.320 the scarring I had.

00:18:45.020 He goes,

00:18:45.400 you were a forceps baby. 0.78

00:18:46.360 I says, yeah.

00:18:46.860 He showed me his.

00:18:48.240 And then he helped

00:18:48.800 with the Dermablend makeup.

00:18:50.100 He says, yeah,

00:18:50.460 this will help your makeup.

00:18:51.960 And we were just,

00:18:53.880 you know,

00:18:54.160 he was Sicilian

00:18:54.840 and his mother

00:18:56.120 was from Geno,

00:18:56.760 his father was from Sicily

00:18:57.780 and my dad

00:18:58.240 he was from Sicily.

00:18:59.880 Anyway,

00:19:00.400 over the years

00:19:00.920 we became very close

00:19:02.640 and he died

00:19:04.080 and I was friends

00:19:04.660 with his son,

00:19:05.960 Frank Jr.

00:19:06.560 who died

00:19:07.000 a few years ago.

00:19:10.540 It was,

00:19:11.760 the daughters know.

00:19:13.580 The daughters

00:19:13.920 because they did like me

00:19:15.580 and then my politics,

00:19:17.240 they did not like me.

00:19:19.160 They refused to play me

00:19:20.780 on Seriously Sinatra.

00:19:23.240 They had me on.

00:19:24.400 I did playing favorites

00:19:25.580 and then when I went

00:19:27.460 to Trump,

00:19:28.240 they took my music down

00:19:29.940 from Seriously Sinatra.

00:19:31.800 I want to thank you

00:19:32.720 for joining us today.

00:19:33.780 Folks,

00:19:34.080 we have been joined

00:19:34.740 by Robert Davi.

00:19:35.740 He is indeed a superstar.

00:19:38.260 He's also a man

00:19:38.860 I'm very proud

00:19:39.860 to call my friend.

00:19:41.740 Honored again

00:19:42.480 by the Italian American

00:19:45.200 as one of their

00:19:45.640 men of the year

00:19:46.240 for his outstanding

00:19:47.460 contributions to the culture

00:19:48.900 and for his patriotism,

00:19:50.740 the fact that he refused

00:19:51.700 to be silenced

00:19:52.420 about his love of country,

00:19:54.060 his love of God

00:19:54.900 and his support

00:19:55.920 for one Donald J. Trump.
