Summary

Trump's Middle East breakthrough will create a golden age of peace and prosperity, unless, of course, Republicans and Democrats, working together, mess it up. For the past several days, President Trump has been greeted with open arms in the Arab world. This is, in my view, the Great Trump Reset, the end of a neocon domination of our foreign policy, which pursued endless foreign war where our inherent national interest was never clear, erosion of our civil liberties, and massive, massive debt.

00:00:07.380 Welcome. You are entering the Stone Zone, and I'm your host, Roger Stone.
00:00:13.440 Well, Donald Trump's Middle East breakthrough will create a golden age of peace and prosperity,
00:00:20.600 unless, of course, Republicans and Democrats working together mess it up.
00:00:25.300 For the past several days, President Trump has been greeted with open arms in the Arab world.
00:00:31.180 This is, in my view, the Great Trump Reset, the end of a neocon domination of our foreign policy,
00:00:39.340 which pursued endless foreign war, where our inherent national interest was never clear,
00:00:46.000 erosion of our civil liberties, and, of course, massive, massive debt.
00:00:51.520 The president was greeted to a hero's welcome in Qatar.
00:00:54.520 He was given an incredible ovation in Saudi Arabia.
00:00:58.580 The immense amount of goodwill created by these visits cannot be overstated in Reda.
00:01:04.640 Trump gave a historic speech where he denounced neoconservatism, foreign inventionism,
00:01:11.360 nation-building, and the failed U.S. military interventionism of the Middle East in the past.
00:01:18.720 Listen to President Trump.
00:01:19.800 The transformations have been unbelievably remarkable.
00:01:24.700 Before our eyes, a new generation of leaders is transcending the ancient conflicts of tired divisions of the past
00:01:32.180 and forging a future where the Middle East and forging a future where the Middle East is defined by commerce,
00:01:36.240 not chaos, where it exports technology, not terrorism,
00:01:41.000 and where people of different nations, religions, and creeds are building cities together,
00:01:46.520 not bombing each other out of existence.
00:01:50.000 And it's crucial for the wider world to note this great transformation has not come from Western interventionalists
00:02:08.380 or flying people in beautiful planes giving you lectures on how to live and how to govern your own affairs.
00:02:16.480 No, the gleaming marvels of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi were not created by the so-called nation-builders,
00:02:23.820 neocons, or liberal non-profits like those who spent trillions and trillions of dollars failing to develop.
00:02:32.740 No, Kabbalah, Baghdad, so many other cities.
00:02:37.380 Instead, the birth of a modern Middle East has been brought by the people of the region themselves,
00:02:44.100 the people that are right here, the people that have lived here all their lives,
00:02:47.380 developing your own sovereign countries, pursuing your own unique visions,
00:02:52.540 and charting your own destinies in your own way.
00:02:56.340 It's really incredible what you've done.
00:02:58.200 And in the end, the so-called nation-builders wrecked far more nations than they built,
00:03:04.260 and the interventionalists were intervening in complex societies that they did not even understand themselves.
00:03:13.140 They told you how to do it, but they had no idea how to do it themselves.
00:03:17.700 Peace, prosperity, and progress ultimately came not from a radical rejection of your heritage,
00:03:23.680 but rather from embracing your national traditions and embracing that same heritage that you love so dearly.
00:03:33.880 That was an incredible rebuke of the Democrats and the neocon Republican establishments,
00:03:40.140 which came before Trump.
00:03:42.580 So, of course, it should come as no surprise that the Republicans in the U.S. House and Senate
00:03:46.920 almost immediately snapped into action to attempt to undermine President Trump's diplomatic breakthrough
00:03:53.020 and bring the country closer once again to another war in the Middle East.
00:03:59.040 177 House Republicans and every Senate Republican except Rand Paul of Kentucky
00:04:04.560 issued a letter to President Trump, fear-mongering yet again about Iran's nuclear canard
00:04:10.400 and insisting that they are on the verge of the development of a nuclear bomb.
00:04:16.680 Quote,
00:04:17.060 We write to express our strong support for your efforts to secure a deal with Iran
00:04:20.960 that dismantles its nuclear program and to reinforce the explicit warnings
00:04:26.300 that you and officials in your administration have issued
00:04:29.460 that the regime must permanently give up any capacity for enrichment, the letter says.
00:04:34.640 We cannot afford another agreement that enables Iran to play for time.
00:04:38.900 The Iranian regime should know that the administration has full congressional backing
00:04:44.340 to ensure its ability to enrich our uranium is permanently eliminated.
00:04:49.920 Now, the choice that we make will echo through the generations.
00:04:54.380 As my good friend, Colonel Douglas McGregor, said on this very show, The Stone Zone,
00:04:59.780 we're very fortunate that the Iranians are actually willing to negotiate with us again
00:05:04.280 and perhaps we can reach a solution.
00:05:07.120 There are no guarantees.
00:05:08.220 This will take leadership from the highest levels, starting with President Donald Trump.
00:05:13.560 So, let's talk plainly about what awaits America if a war with Iran is pursued.
00:05:20.140 Within hours of the first strike, Iran would seal the Strait of Hormuz,
00:05:25.800 choking the artery through which one-fifth of the world's oil flows.
00:05:30.980 Gas prices will not merely rise.
00:05:33.300 They will erupt like a volcano, burning through family budgets.
00:05:37.640 The economic security Americans built with their own hands since the pandemic disaster could be destroyed.
00:05:44.520 Immediate price increases and the loss of certain goods and services would also result.
00:05:50.220 Yet the cost in treasure, according to Colonel McGregor, stands as nothing compared to the cost in blood,
00:05:56.680 because Iran is not the Iraq of our past wars.
00:06:00.580 You see, Iran consists of 85 million people fortified by mountains.
00:06:05.900 Russia and China have drawn a clear and unambiguous red line for the first time since missiles were placed in Cuba.
00:06:13.000 We face not only the shadow, but the very real substance of nuclear confrontation,
00:06:19.520 not for our country, but for the regional ambitions of a foreign state 7,000 miles from home that goads us towards war.
00:06:28.760 We must face the truth.
00:06:31.000 Our weaker allies often attempt to get us to conduct their wars.
00:06:35.580 Our wars, while we assist allies, American soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines,
00:06:41.940 should not and cannot be sacrificed for the territorial expansions that serve no vital strategic interest.
00:06:50.360 I don't believe we should sacrifice American lives on foreign soil while American soil thirsts for our attention.
00:06:57.140 We should not trade America's prosperity for another state's regional hegemony while American prosperity continues to deteriorate.
00:07:06.240 We must not abandon America's Democrat principles for imperial ambition.
00:07:11.840 And while those principles are our best hope for justice, we cannot allow them to fade for lack of attention.
00:07:19.080 The true strength of America has never been measured by regimes toppled, but by our lives improved.
00:07:25.260 As Colonel McGregor said, while we secure the borders of other people's states, our communities are crumbling while we send billions abroad.
00:07:34.080 Americans must not choose between medicine or food.
00:07:38.260 This is not America first.
00:07:39.680 This is America last.
00:07:41.460 Imagine instead that we might create a home with trillions that this war will cost.
00:07:46.820 Hospitals in rural areas where mothers drive hours to deliver.
00:07:49.900 High-speed rail connecting our cities like steel arteries, pulsating with the lifeblood of commerce.
00:07:56.600 A more prosperous, safer, more secure America.
00:08:00.260 That's what Donald Trump supports.
00:08:02.240 The clean energy systems harnessing the same sun that warned Washington and Valgy Forge,
00:08:08.220 where every child from Appalachia to the inner city receives an education worthy of our republic.
00:08:13.580 The Constitution placed the power to decide between peace and war in the hands of the American people.
00:08:20.360 They made this decision last November.
00:08:23.360 They voted for peace.
00:08:25.200 They did not vote for war with Iran.
00:08:28.020 We must put America first.
00:08:30.420 Make the phones ring until they cannot ignore the righteous thunder of the people.
00:08:34.560 Call your members of Congress and tell them you oppose unilateral war.
00:08:40.120 You oppose a strike on Iran that will only hurt America.
00:08:44.560 This is a vital fight.
00:08:46.980 Donald Trump is leading the way.
00:08:49.820 Generations of Americans will look back and determine whether we made the right decision or not.
00:08:55.880 In the meantime, it is absolutely clear that John Brennan has freaked out over the fact that the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, fired two deep state officials.
00:09:10.300 The Gabbard fired top officials leading the National Intelligence Council because whistleblowers described them as radically opposed to Trump and has moved that agency right over to her office,
00:09:23.160 the office of the director of national intelligence.
00:09:26.520 Gabbard, as I reported yesterday, fired Mike Collins, who was serving as the acting chair of the National Intelligence Council,
00:09:33.040 who was deliberately undermining incoming Trump administration policy, as well as his top deputy.
00:09:39.700 But John Brennan, the former CIA director, the the chief orchestrator of the Russian collusion hoax, said that he was livid.
00:09:48.580 Let's listen to John Brennan.
00:09:50.880 This whole thing just makes me livid.
00:09:52.440 It's appalling and outrageous and demonstrates why Tulsi Gabbard never should have been confirmed as director of national intelligence.
00:10:00.000 Michael Collins and Marie Langen Rykoff are two of the most experienced, accomplished and talented analysts in the entire U.S. intelligence community.
00:10:09.800 With over 60 years of combined experience, they have worked for successive administrations since the 1990s.
00:10:17.820 They have demonstrated time and time again their capabilities, their competence, their integrity, and they have served as role models for a generation of intelligence officers inside of CIA.
00:10:29.040 They're CIA officers by background and by training.
00:10:31.360 And this is going to have real reverberations within the workforce because, as Congressman Hines pointed out, it's clearly a signal to tell analysts throughout the intelligence community, you tell the truth.
00:10:43.340 You provide objective analysis as you're supposed to be doing.
00:10:46.420 You are running the risk of getting fired.
00:10:48.560 And Michael and Maria are really the quintessential analysts that you want to have providing insight and information and analysis to policymakers so they make the right decisions for U.S. policymakers.
00:11:02.400 But this is a very tangible example of such dangerous and insidious corruption within the Trump administration.
00:11:10.440 What's appalling and courageous is how John Brennan conducted himself at the CIA.
00:11:16.080 Brennan, first of all, safely set up two dozen Trump advisors without any probable cause for surveillance by the U.S. intelligence apparatus.
00:11:25.380 I was one of those two-zoned people.
00:11:27.380 He also colluded with foreign intelligence to conduct illicit, politically-moded spying operations in violation of the U.S. Constitution.
00:11:36.340 It was Brennan who was instrumental in the illegal FISA warrants, and wiretaps were deployed in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election while targeting Trump's most vocal supporters, myself included.
00:11:49.240 A U.S. court found in 2023 that the misuse of the FISA courts extended far beyond the mere targeting of Trump actors, citing the FBI found the mechanism had been used to improperly spy over 300,000 times on American citizens without proper warrants.
00:12:07.860 This confirms the worst fears of civil libertarians.
00:12:11.260 The Durham report proved demonstrable evidence that it was Brennan who first cooked up the Russian collusion hoax with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden.
00:12:23.360 He knew that the Steele dossier was a fraud.
00:12:27.460 He knew that it had been discredited, but he used it nonetheless as the rationale for an illegal,
00:12:33.280 illicit, and unconstitutional plot to frame Donald Trump as a puppet of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
00:12:42.800 Brennan used this foreign disinformation to set up Russiagate and that frame job against the president.
00:12:49.460 This is the same John Brennan who funneled arms and money into the hands of the ISIS militants as they wreaked havoc across the Middle East and Europe.
00:12:57.840 Brennan is an admitted communist who said publicly that he voted for the Communist Party candidate in the 1990s.
00:13:04.900 It was Brennan who approved the visas of four of the 11 hijackers who attacked America on 9-11 when he was the station chief in RIDA.
00:13:13.640 And then there's the question of his own conversion to radical Wahhabism when he was the CIA station chief,
00:13:21.020 as attested to by John Guandolo, the counterterrorism CIA agent.
00:13:28.460 Brennan was aware the Steele dossier was a fraud.
00:13:31.180 He's engaged in what I think is traitorous activity.
00:13:34.200 His claim that the Russians hacked the Democrat national computer servers is yet another lie for which he has no proof.
00:13:41.740 John Brennan is outraged.
00:13:43.340 No, I'm outraged that he's outraged.
00:13:46.480 Tulsi Gabbard is firing people who are disloyal to the president.
00:13:50.020 You're listening to The Stone Zone.
00:13:51.620 I'm getting pretty excited.

00:14:32.580 You're back in The Stone Zone.
00:14:34.160 In the next segment, we're going to be taking your questions.
00:14:36.760 Please go to AskStone at StoneZone.com.
00:14:40.220 That's AskStone at StoneZone.com.
00:14:43.360 We will take as many of your questions as we can.
00:14:46.340 They can relate to the news, politics, history, food, culture, style, fashion, movies, you name it.
00:14:54.300 But I'm here to take your questions.
00:14:55.960 That's AskStone at StoneZone.com.
00:14:59.180 We're talking about former CIA Director John Brennan.
00:15:03.420 He has now finally had his national security clearance lifted.
00:15:09.180 Brennan was involved in the electoral interference and the censorship programs that helped screw Donald Trump out of his rightful re-election in 2020.
00:15:16.860 In fact, he was one of the 51 former intelligence officials who penned a letter proclaiming the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop as Russian disinformation and propaganda, which we now know to be completely and totally false.
00:15:32.200 And then it was Brennan and his cohorts who strong armed the social media companies to keep this legitimate story regarding Hunter Biden's laptop from the American people.
00:15:47.420 Polls actually showed that 17% of voters would not have voted for Joe Biden had they known that the laptop was real.
00:15:56.700 Everything I know about Hunter Biden's laptop, I read in the New York Post, who accurately called this entire scandal spies who lie.
00:16:06.880 So rather than attacking Tulsi Gabbard, perhaps the Justice Department could be looking at the illegal activities of John Brennan and others, because someone should be held accountable for the improper actions and politicization of intelligence.
00:16:24.460 It takes time to weed them out and fire them.
00:16:27.760 Tulsi Gabbard, precisely the right woman for this job.
00:16:30.860 She's doing the right thing.
00:16:32.540 All right.
00:16:33.200 Well, I remind you, we're going to be taking your questions in the next segment.
00:16:36.760 Go to Ask Stone at StoneZone.com.

00:16:42.700 We're going to jam in as many of your questions today as we possibly can.
00:16:47.840 Also going to touch on the fact that President Trump has come out against the birthright citizenship, which he is challenging in the Supreme Court.
00:16:57.700 Talk about that on the other side as well.
00:17:00.340 So once again, if you want, if you have a question, go to Ask Stone at StoneZone.com.
00:17:06.800 We're going to take as many as of your questions as we possibly can.

00:17:45.780 Welcome back.
00:17:46.800 We're back in the Stone Zone.
00:17:48.440 We're going to be taking your questions.
00:17:50.060 Go to Ask Stone at StoneZone.com.
00:17:53.120 That's Ask Stone at StoneZone.com.
00:17:55.960 We're going to give you a few minutes to get your questions in.
00:17:59.180 In the meantime, the Supreme Court met today to hear arguments on the White House's emergency request to stop nationwide injunction that has been put in place against birthright citizenship and Donald Trump's executive order ending same.
00:18:12.640 Hours after taking office, President Trump had signed an executive order ending birthright citizenship, that is, giving children born in the U.S. the immediate right to citizenship even when their parents are not U.S. citizens.
00:18:26.960 This order was intended to stop women from entering the United States illegally and giving birth to what are called anchor babies, whose citizenship is then used for their own benefit.
00:18:38.500 It was immediately challenged, of course, by left-wing organizations and now has found its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which currently is hearing arguments from both sides.
00:18:48.760 President Trump asked the Supreme Court to stay this nationwide injunction issued by the federal judges.
00:18:55.180 Trump released a statement on True Social this morning, slamming the abuses of the loophole in this law, specifically regarding anchor babies.
00:19:03.940 Big case today in the United States Supreme Court, said Trump.
00:19:06.840 Birthright citizenship was not meant for people taking vacations to become permanent citizens of the United States and bringing their families with them, all the time laughing at the suckers that we have been.
00:19:21.360 The United States is the only country in the world that does this, and for that reason, which nobody knows, but the drug cartels love it.
00:19:29.260 We are, for the first, for the sake of being politically correct, a stupid country if we continue to do this, but in actuality, this is the exact opposite of being politically correct.
00:19:40.740 And yet another point that needs to the dysfunction of America.
00:19:45.140 Birthright citizenship is about the babies of slaves.
00:19:49.120 As conclusive proof, the Civil War ended in 1865.
00:19:52.960 The bill went to Congress less than a year later in 1866 and was passed shortly after that.
00:19:58.500 It had nothing to do with illegal immigration for people wanting to scam our country from all parts of the world, which, of course, they have done.
00:20:07.800 It had to do with the Civil War results and the babies of slaves who our politicians felt correctly needed protection.
00:20:15.260 Please, would somebody explain this to the Supreme Court of the United States?
00:20:20.080 A very strong and forthright Donald Trump.
00:20:22.960 All right, we're going to go to your questions.
00:20:24.400 Our first question comes from Stahl in Staten Island.
00:20:28.640 He says, Roger, what do you think of this new requirement for real ID?
00:20:35.000 You know, I think this is the worst idea I've ever heard.
00:20:38.420 I'm planning on heading to New York this weekend for the Italian-American Civil Rights League gathering out in Queens.
00:20:49.440 And I would just learn that when I go to the airport, I'll be required to have one of these new real IDs.
00:20:57.460 You can only get one by providing specific records and documents for the federal government.
00:21:03.760 Your ID will be labeled with a black or gold star.
00:21:06.940 Now, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, Kristi Noem, has promised that, at least initially, people without the real ID will only have to face some extra scrutiny at security checkpoints at the airport.
00:21:20.740 But eventually, everyone will be required to have one.
00:21:24.440 The reason they give us for this is that the real IDs will be used to prevent those who are not legally eligible to vote from voting or those who are not legally eligible to receive Social Security benefits because they are not U.S. citizens from receiving such benefits.
00:21:45.180 It sounds good, but what it really does is give the government a biometric record of every single person in America.
00:21:55.320 This is something conservatives and libertarians have opposed for decades.
00:22:01.500 But this law, the Real ID Act, that was actually passed 20 years ago in 2005.
00:22:07.260 It was one of the many measures rolled out in the wake of the 9-11 attacks.
00:22:11.820 It was presented to the public as being necessary to ensure that similar attacks would never happen again.
00:22:17.680 But the truth is, when you go back and look at it, none of the 11 hijackers who attacked America used a fake ID in their efforts to get on the planes, their successful efforts to get on the planes.
00:22:30.140 So I think in this case, Alex Jones, my good friend, is absolutely right.
00:22:34.780 The real goal here is to create a biometric record of every American.
00:22:41.080 And to me, that is dangerous.
00:22:44.080 I'm opposed to these real IDs because I think the possibility for abuse is obvious.
00:22:52.340 Thank you for your question.
00:22:53.840 Beth from Columbus said, yesterday you spoke about repealing the Patriot Act.
00:22:59.460 Do you really think that's a good idea?
00:23:02.800 I must tell you, I do think it is a good idea.
00:23:06.300 It's yet another example of precisely what we are talking about.
00:23:10.000 We were told that the Patriot Act, which allows the government to surveil American citizens, essentially without a warrant, with no probable cause,
00:23:22.760 and to hold American citizens in permanent secret detention, was going to be a temporary measure to fight Islamic terrorism.
00:23:33.340 But the Patriot Act has been re-approved every four years for the Congress with very, very minor revisions.
00:23:44.200 It is kind of obvious to me that it has been abuse, but the crown jewel of that abuse was the fact that the FISA courts were used to spy on President Donald Trump.
00:23:58.600 Now, it is a perfect example of the abuse.
00:24:03.940 The due process has been eviscerated.
00:24:06.480 Civil liberties became a thing of the past, and we watched as the supposedly pro-freedom Republican Party has promoted the Patriot Act.
00:24:16.380 When Trump ran for president in 2016, the true agenda behind these measures, such as the Patriot Act, came to light.
00:24:23.260 Secret FISA courts authorized the illegal surveillance and spying on Trump's campaign in order to frame Trump as a Russian agent.
00:24:31.700 We talked about John Brennan's role in that just a few minutes ago.
00:24:36.600 It is interesting to me that Congresswoman Anna Polina Luna of Florida has proposed legislation to repeal the Patriot Act,
00:24:48.060 and it is legislation I strongly, strongly support.
00:24:52.540 Thank you for your question.
00:24:55.120 Here is a question from Eric in Weehawken, New Jersey.
00:24:58.980 He says, people say there's a lot you can learn about politics from pro-wrestling.
00:25:05.640 Have you ever watched pro-wrestling?
00:25:07.560 Do you have a favorite wrestler?
00:25:09.340 And have you gleaned anything from pro-wrestling?
00:25:13.960 Well, you're absolutely right.
00:25:15.760 American politics is a lot like pro-wrestling.
00:25:19.740 My favorite wrestler, by the way, is Randy Orton.
00:25:23.080 Now, my good friend, Sal, he's a Roman Reigns fan, but I disagree.
00:25:30.940 Randy Orton has the third, he's tied for the third most world championship reigns in history,
00:25:38.200 a wrestling career spanning over 20 years.
00:25:41.780 He performs under the SmackDown brand.
00:25:44.820 Orton is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time.
00:25:49.700 Yes, I am a Randy Orton fan.
00:25:53.080 And there's a lot that is comparable when it comes to politics and professional wrestling.
00:26:00.660 There's a lot of head fakes.
00:26:02.700 There's a lot of posturing.
00:26:04.460 But above all, there's entertainment.
00:26:07.020 You see, as Richard Dixon once told me, the only thing in politics worse than being wrong is being boring.
00:26:15.380 This, of course, is the great strength of President Donald Trump.
00:26:19.560 He is never boring.
00:26:21.700 The thing about Trump, who I've now known for 50 years, hates it when I say that, says it makes both of us sound old,
00:26:30.580 is that he is not scripted.
00:26:33.240 He is not reading talking points written by someone else.
00:26:39.320 He is not managed.
00:26:41.920 He's not handled.
00:26:43.040 What you see is what you get.
00:26:45.440 He's genuine.
00:26:46.480 He's authentic.
00:26:48.340 That's why I think he won to begin with.
00:26:51.940 Thank you so much for your question.
00:26:54.440 You can count me as a Randy Orton fan here.
00:26:57.680 Another question, by the way, you can send us your questions by going to askstone at stonezone.com.
00:27:05.500 That's askstone at stonezone.com.
00:27:09.760 We'll get in as many of your questions today as we possibly can.
00:27:14.840 Here is a question, which is, let's see, from Terry in Fairfield, Connecticut.
00:27:24.160 Terry says, I just read a story that said that New Hampshire dominates the pizza scene in America.
00:27:32.560 Not New York, not New Jersey, not Connecticut.
00:27:35.860 Well, I saw that study.
00:27:37.240 It's not a study regarding pizza quality.
00:27:41.580 It is a study that has to do with pizza density, meaning how many pizzas there are per sales per capita based on the population and what the average cost of pizza is.
00:27:57.840 To me, Connecticut will always be the pizza mecca as a New Haven style of pizza.
00:28:05.200 You find it at Frank Pepe's, you find it at Sally's, you find it at the spot.
00:28:11.580 You're now finding it moving into South Florida, I might add.
00:28:15.700 So don't get confused here.
00:28:18.840 The study you mentioned mentions the fact that there were a certain number of pizzas per 100,000 residents.
00:28:26.420 It was based on a survey of Google searches.
00:28:30.120 The state of New Hampshire has 1,022 pizzerias, which equates to 72.73 pizzerias per 100,000 residents.
00:28:41.220 Interesting, but that does not speak to the quality of the pizza.
00:28:45.800 Add now the high pizza enthusiasm because there were 22,512 pizza related searches per 100,000 residents.
00:28:56.900 And the average cost of pizza was the lowest in the country at $15.74.
00:29:06.000 So you've got a state where people love pizza, but it will never be the kind of pizza you get in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut.
00:29:18.000 Under Mayor Eric Adams, of course, they're trying to outlaw coal fired ovens in New York City.
00:29:23.660 This would do away with some of the great pizza meccas.
00:29:30.000 It would be outrageous.
00:29:31.640 It would be typical of the overreach.
00:29:34.260 But I'll stick with New York style or perhaps my real favorite New Haven style.
00:29:40.480 I'll pass on the New Hampshire pizza if you don't mind.
00:29:44.560 Here's a question from Keith in Sandusky, Ohio.
00:29:50.340 Keith says, I see Steve Bannon saying yet again that Donald Trump will run for a third term.
00:29:58.860 In fact, he expects him to be sworn in at the end of this term.
00:30:04.480 What say you?
00:30:05.160 I can only assume that Steve is trawling, doing this for clicks, because he knows as well as I do that the U.S. Constitution specifically prohibits any person from serving more than two four-year terms as president.
00:30:23.020 Now, they don't have to be contiguous terms, as we've seen in the case of President Grover Cleveland, a conservative Democrat, a New Yorker, a former sheriff, by the way, of Erie County.
00:30:36.460 That's Buffalo, a former governor of New York.
00:30:39.680 And, of course, Donald Trump, whose two terms are not contiguous.
00:30:43.420 A meeting with Meet the Press about a week ago, President Trump finally gave up this particular troll and said, no, he had no intention of running for another term in 2028.
00:30:57.800 The idea put forward by some that the party would nominate Vice President J.D. Vance.
00:31:04.680 Vance would then choose Trump as his running mate.
00:31:07.820 The ticket would win.
00:31:09.560 Vance would then resign as president.
00:31:12.640 Trump would move up to the presidency.
00:31:16.880 He would then appoint J.D. Vance as another four-year term as vice president, which, of course, would be subject to the confirmation by the U.S. Senate.
00:31:27.620 That's a fairy tale that is highly unlikely to happen.
00:31:32.080 I will be happy, as President Trump said, with four great years.
00:31:37.100 Four great years.
00:31:38.080 I think we're about to have them.
00:31:39.940 So I did note that the president said that he will not just automatically hand the baton to Vice President J.D. Vance, although he had high praise for Vance, he also praised Secretary Marco Rubio as a potential candidate.
00:31:57.260 I put a former congresswoman, currently the head of the director of national intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, in that group as well.
00:32:07.880 But the president said we could have as many as 16 candidates.
00:32:13.060 So I think you should look for a spirited competition for the Republican nomination for president at the end of the golden age years of Donald Trump.
00:32:25.960 He's forging new alliances for peace in the Middle East.
00:32:30.940 He got a $1 trillion deal from from the Saudis.
00:32:37.940 He got a $1.4 trillion deal with UAE.
00:32:44.940 Those are investments in the United States.
00:32:47.100 He got a $200 billion deal to buy airplanes from Qatar.
00:32:52.480 Donald Trump means business.
00:32:54.100 He's committed to peace, prosperity, security, and, well, lastly of all, justice.
00:33:01.780 So I'm I'm still optimistic that we're entering a golden age.
00:33:06.800 But like the president, I'll be happy with four great years.
00:33:11.200 Don't go away.
00:33:11.900 We'll be right back to take more of your questions here in the Stone Zone.
00:33:16.100 The Stone Zone on the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:33:24.100 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.
00:33:33.480 Welcome back.
00:33:34.580 You're back in the Stone Zone.
00:33:36.040 We're taking your questions.
00:33:37.360 You can go very quickly to askstone at stonezone.com.
00:33:41.620 Askstone at stonezone.com.
00:33:43.540 We're still going to squeeze in as many of your questions as we possibly can.
00:33:49.160 Here is a question for Eric in Boca Raton.
00:33:52.400 Eric says, you've explained many times that you're not a Bush Republican.
00:33:56.760 Why, then, did you save George W. Bush from having his election stolen by Al Gore and the
00:34:01.980 Democrats in 2000 with your infamous Brooks Brothers riot?
00:34:06.780 Well, there's a lot of disinformation here, so let's dispel it.
00:34:10.400 First of all, I had handled the recount for Governor Tom Kane of New Jersey, who, by the
00:34:17.020 way, celebrated his 90th birthday, I believe, two days ago, a campaign where he won by 1,209
00:34:25.040 votes out of 2 million cast.
00:34:27.720 I was his chief strategic consultant.
00:34:31.380 Because of that, Jim Baker, who had been the White House chief of staff, recalled my expertise
00:34:36.500 in recounts and asked me to go to Florida.
00:34:39.700 There were more cooks than necessary, more chiefs than Indians in Palm Beach, and I was
00:34:47.080 sent to Miami.
00:34:48.620 Now, in Miami, Democrat election officials were attempting to recount the same sheaf of
00:34:56.340 ballots that they had recounted three times.
00:34:59.800 At the point that the two Democrat commissioners attempted to remove these ballots into a closed
00:35:08.980 door room with no observers, no windows, no lawyers, no one from the media, that was a
00:35:14.920 violation of the state's sunshine law.
00:35:18.000 So, yes, I directed the Republicans who were observers not to let the door be closed and
00:35:24.500 not to allow them to remove those ballots.
00:35:27.220 Therefore, the claim that we used intimidation tactics to close down the recount are categorically
00:35:36.420 false.
00:35:37.440 But I'm glad to have the opportunity to answer your question.
00:35:42.200 Here is another question.
00:35:45.100 This is from Ellen.
00:35:47.000 Ellen is in Des Moines, Iowa.
00:35:49.500 Ellen says, have you seen the movie The Apprentice about Donald Trump and what did you think about
00:35:56.360 it?
00:35:56.540 Well, I have seen the movie.
00:35:59.240 First of all, the actor who plays me, well, first of all, I'm way better looking.
00:36:04.880 I'm way better dressed.
00:36:07.840 And the story is a bastardization of the truth.
00:36:13.000 The actor who plays Roy Cohn does a masterful job, I must say.
00:36:17.900 He captured the legendary attorney fixer's mannerisms, his idiosyncratic speech patterns, his gesticulation.
00:36:30.600 It is really uncanny.
00:36:32.280 I think he deserved an Academy Award that he did not get.
00:36:36.220 But the backstory that Roy Cohn threatened to expose sexual misconduct by the head of the tax
00:36:45.460 abatement board in New York City in order to get the approval of the Trump's redevelopment
00:36:51.680 of the Commodore Hotel on 42nd Street is a vile lie.
00:36:56.880 It is a falsehood.
00:36:58.680 New York was dying in those days and they needed the development.
00:37:02.140 Donald Trump was one of the few volunteer, I would say, frontier entrepreneurs willing
00:37:08.100 to invest in New York City, and it is how you got what would ultimately be the Hyatt Hotel.
00:37:14.840 A great movie, but not historically accurate.
00:37:19.820 Worth seeing, if for no other reason, just for the portrayal of the legendary lawyer Roy
00:37:26.100 Cohn.
00:37:27.160 But the historical facts, unfortunately, are untrue.
00:37:32.840 I'm afraid we are out of time for today.
00:37:35.240 I want to thank you for tuning in to The Stone Zone.
00:37:38.300 I particularly want to thank those who sent their questions.
