00:00:00.480 Did you know that St. Luke's University Health Network, based in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania,

00:00:05.680 has been recognized by the U.S. government as the highest performing health system in the United

00:00:10.720 States for quality? You heard right. St. Luke's number one recognition affirms our status as the

00:00:16.400 top leader among the most respected healthcare providers in the nation, including Houston

00:00:21.200 Methodist and the Mayo Clinic. To state it simply, if you want to receive the best care when you go

00:00:26.480 Go to a hospital? Come to St. Luke's.

00:00:30.460 The Stone Zone.

00:00:32.500 Entertaining and informative.

00:00:34.640 On the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:00:37.500 And today is indeed my birthday.

00:00:40.780 A birth date that I share with President Lyndon Baines Johnson.

00:00:45.720 Now there's a certain irony in that because in 2013 I wrote a book called

00:00:52.200 The Man Who Killed Kennedy, The Case Against LBJ,

00:00:56.140 in which I used eyewitness evidence, fingerprint evidence, and deep Texas politics

00:01:01.500 to make the case that LBJ had the motive, means, and the opportunity to helm a plot,

00:01:10.560 notice I didn't use the word conspiracy, that involved the Central Intelligence Agency,

00:01:16.080 organized crime, big Texas oil, and other major financial interests

00:01:21.800 in the murder of President John F. Kennedy Jr.

00:01:26.140 So I took that book to six different publishers. They all told me that it had no commercial appeal, that it would never be successful. But within weeks of it being published, it became a New York Times bestseller.

00:01:39.600 And I can honestly say that none of the documents that have been released on the basis of an order by President Donald Trump that the National Archives release all of their documents pertaining to the murder of JFK disprove anything.

00:01:57.800 which is to say that the man who shot from the six-floor window of the Texas School Book Depository

00:02:04.680 building was Malcolm Mack Wilson. Pardon me, Malcolm Mack Douglas. Mack Wallace was the

00:02:13.580 shooter. We know this because he left his fingerprints on the cardboard boxes that

00:02:18.900 formed the crow's nest from which the shooter shot. We know that it is Malcolm Wallace's

00:02:25.840 fingerprints because he was arrested in 1951 when he murdered a man named John Douglas Kinzer

00:02:32.240 in broad daylight. Kinzer was trying to blackmail Senator Lyndon Johnson, threatening to expose

00:02:38.820 corruption by the senator and also his involved in election theft. Wallace was also seen by six

00:02:47.800 different eyewitnesses, three of them in the jail across the way from the Texas School Book

00:02:54.680 Depository Building, three other witnesses, they all identify a man who meets the physical

00:03:00.500 description of Malcolm Mack Wallace. Middle set, balding, every single one of them says

00:03:07.360 wearing glasses. Wallace had the highest possible rating as a marksman, as a Marine Corps veteran.

00:03:16.300 And then there's the man on the ground who sees Wallace departing the office. His name was

00:03:24.360 James Carr. Carr made the mistake of reporting what he had seen, Malcolm Wallace rushing out of

00:03:31.680 the Texas School Book Depository, driving away in a Nash Rambler. He told both the FBI and the FBI

00:03:39.780 there would be both six different attempts on Mr. Carr's life before identifying the real killer.

00:03:48.740 Since then, of course, Paramount has released a documentary in which the various doctors who attended John F. Kennedy at Parkland Hospital in Dallas all said that they saw wounds consistent with JFK being shot from the front and the back, but they were all warned that for their own good, they should keep their mouth shut.

00:04:13.420 In any event, happy birthday to President Lyndon Johnson.

00:04:17.940 It is with great irony that I have exposed what I think is the truth about the assassination of one of our greatest presidents, John F. Kennedy.

00:04:27.560 The big news today, of course, is that President Donald Trump has fired the Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook after she was accused by the director of federal housing's finance agency, Bill Pulte, for mortgage fraud.

00:04:43.820 Now, very specifically, what Lisa Cook did was to claim that her home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, was her principal legal resident.

00:04:55.680 Therefore, she got a state tax break, a lower mortgage rate and a lower insurance rate.

00:05:03.000 Two weeks later, she claimed that her home outside of Atlanta was her principal legal residence, where once again, she got a state tax break, a lower mortgage rate and a lower insurance rate.

00:05:19.440 Incredibly, the Wall Street Journal and editorial accuses Bill Pulte, the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, of targeting Ms. Cook.

00:05:31.160 Why is this important? It's very simple.

00:05:33.620 Today, on the Federal Board of Governors, there's a 5-4 vote against interest rate cuts for the American people.

00:05:43.100 The criteria that the Federal Reserve is supposed to use determining whether or not we cut interest rates are the inflation rate and the unemployment rate.

00:05:53.340 But the truth is, both of them are either at the same level or lower than the place they were the last four times the Federal Reserve cut rates.

00:06:04.420 Suddenly now, because Bill Clinton, Bill Pulte is enforcing the law, those on the hard left are going out of their minds.

00:06:13.640 Let's listen to Senator Elizabeth Warren.

00:06:17.500 Here's this guy, Bill Pulte, who has access to everybody's mortgage records because he's the head of the agency that was designed in the aftermath of the 2008 crash

00:06:31.040 to make sure that we don't have widespread mortgage fraud.

00:06:35.160 Remember when the banks and the mortgage brokers were out there selling those liar's loans and other loans?

00:06:42.100 That's supposed to be the overall job of this agency.

00:06:45.960 And here's someone who has taken access to this individual-level data,

00:06:51.280 and it would appear is running it against Donald Trump's enemies list to see if he can make a claim.

00:06:59.160 claim. I don't even know if it's true. Here's the problem. Focahontas, as I call her,

00:07:07.000 someone who lied about her own ethnicity in order to get a scholarship to go to college,

00:07:12.180 is wrong in the sense that all of the documents that Bill Pulte lists in his formal complaint to

00:07:18.480 the Department of Justice are a simple matter of public record. Any citizen can go online

00:07:23.460 and see the mortgage documents in question.

00:07:26.680 So he isn't using secret or proprietary information

00:07:30.020 to make the claim that Lisa Cook has engaged in mortgage fraud.

00:07:35.680 It's also important to note that literally thousands of people

00:07:39.300 are being charged with the same crime year in and year out.

00:07:43.540 People at the fraud unit at the Federal Housing Finance Agency

00:07:48.000 have found literally hundreds and thousands of people over the years

00:07:52.540 who have engaged in the exact same crime.

00:07:56.040 The only reason you don't know about it, of course, is because, well, they're not famous.

00:08:01.480 Once again, here's Nancy Pelosi. Let's hear what she has to say.

00:08:06.060 Mr. Speaker, I rise today in support of the bedrock, one of the bedrock principles of our economy,

00:08:12.460 the independence of the Federal Reserve Board.

00:08:16.180 For more than a century, the Federal Reserve has served as a cornerstone of the economic system of our country,

00:08:21.540 taxed with safeguarding price stability, maximizing employment,

00:08:26.040 preserving the health of our country, independent from political pressure,

00:08:30.680 insulated from partisanship, and rooted in data and principle.

00:08:34.440 Any of us who had economics in college or beyond knows that independence of the Fed

00:08:40.060 is essential to the respect that our country commands in terms of our own economy throughout the world.

00:08:46.760 The chairman of the Fed is the chair of the central banks,

00:08:49.260 serves as chair of the central banks globally, and it can't be a party hack.

00:08:55.620 If there's anybody a party hack, that would be Chairman Jerome Powell.

00:08:59.740 How do we know that?

00:09:00.720 Well, because he cut interest rates when the inflation rate and the unemployment rate were

00:09:06.880 higher than they are today, first to try to assist in the election of Joe Biden,

00:09:11.660 and then after the party dumped him, to try to assist in the election of Kamala Harris.

00:09:16.980 So if there's anybody engaging in politics, that would be Chairman Powell.

00:09:21.620 Frankly, I think former Speaker Pelosi needs to have another drink because the law is abundantly clear.

00:09:28.440 The president of the United States has the authority to fire members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve for cause.

00:09:37.160 Cause is most definitely insurance fraud and mortgage fraud, both of which Lisa Cook has engaged in.

00:09:45.600 Now, Cook is currently being investigated by the Department of Justice for allegedly falsifying bank statements and property records to get better loan terms.

00:09:55.140 And that would be a criminal charge. According to Director Pulte, as I say, Cook listed two properties, one in Georgia and one in Ann Arbor, Michigan, both as her principal legal residence.

00:10:06.780 This is very similar to the exact same fraud allegedly perpetrated by Senator Adam Shifty Schiff, as well as New York Attorney General Letitia James.

00:10:19.960 Schiff is particularly arrogant. He says the whole thing is made up.

00:10:24.420 Well, anybody can go online and see that he said that his condominium in Burbank, California, was his primary legal residence.

00:10:33.220 He got a state tax break and he qualified for a lower mortgage rate and a lower insurance rate.

00:10:39.800 At the same time, he said his home in suburban Potomac, Maryland, was his principal legal residence.

00:10:47.020 And once again, he got a tax break and a superior and lower mortgage rate and interest rate.

00:10:54.200 This is what is known as mortgage fraud.

00:10:57.180 If there's anything that was made up, well, that would be the Russian collusion hoax.

00:11:01.720 And he was one of the principal fraudsters in that controversy.

00:11:07.380 It's amazing how the Democrats see weaponization when they saw no such weaponization when they made up an entirely false narrative regarding Russian interference in our 2016 election to aid in the president's election in that year.

00:11:24.880 They basically conducted the greatest single dirty trick, the greatest single abuse of power in American political or governmental history.

00:11:34.860 Here's Senator Mark Werner. 0.87

00:11:37.240 He's yet another one of the Democrats who have completely speak in hypocrisy.

00:11:43.780 Well, back out on the road in Danville, Virginia, this morning.

00:11:47.320 But the big news overnight is Donald Trump, who clearly has no respect for the Constitution or separation of powers, is now trying to take over the Federal Reserve Bank by trying to fire, purely based on a charge with no evidence, one of the Federal Reserve board members, Lisa Cook, who happens to be also the first African-American woman ever on the Federal Reserve.

00:12:14.360 You may say, why does this make any difference?

00:12:16.480 Well, if the Fed's independence is compromised, the ability to set interest rates, the ability to have an objective view of our economy will be taken up by Trump as well.

00:12:29.740 This firing would give him a majority of the Federal Reserve board members.

00:12:33.700 We know he's been after the Federal Reserve chair, Jay Powell, for ages.

00:12:38.580 And a president's never fired a Federal Reserve governor.

00:12:41.440 Particularly here where there's a charge made, but no evidence has been presented.

00:12:47.740 So it'll be interesting to see whether our friends in the business community,

00:12:52.380 who always say they want to protect the independence of the Federal Reserve,

00:12:57.080 will have the courage to stand up and push back.

00:13:00.200 We'll all see. Stay tuned.

00:13:02.220 Perhaps Senator Mark Warner of Virginia can't read,

00:13:05.280 Because I can tell you definitively that Bill Pote, the chairman or director, I should say, of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, has posted all of these documents online.

00:13:16.940 That's because all of them are public information.

00:13:19.620 Anyone can look at them.

00:13:21.120 So when Senator Warner says that the allegations are made without any proof, it's very clear to me that he cannot read.

00:13:28.860 Lastly, here is the Treasury Secretary, Scott Besson, I think, sums this up perfectly.

00:13:34.200 It's putting undue pressure on the Fed. And there are people like President Trump and myself who think a Fed official committed mortgage fraud, that this should this should be examined and that they shouldn't be serving as one of the nation's leading financial regulators.

00:13:51.780 And what we haven't heard from Ms. Cook is we haven't heard her say, I didn't do it.

00:13:58.680 We haven't heard her say, I didn't do it.

00:14:00.740 She just keeps saying the president can't remove her.

00:14:04.180 The other thing, too, that I have called in the recent past for an internal review of all the Fed's operations.

00:14:13.640 And I've encouraged Chair Powell to do this on an internal basis before there is an external review.

00:14:21.780 and this this is the kind of thing that needs to be addressed because the fed is an unaccountable

00:14:31.380 institution and its relationship with the american people depends on a high level of trust and

00:14:38.100 incidents like this puncture that trust so president trump is trying to make sure that

00:14:45.700 Anyone who serves at this institution has the trust of the American people.

00:14:51.120 Bully, bully for the Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Besson.

00:14:56.120 Sounds to me like Ron Paul has been calling for an audit of the Fed for years.

00:15:01.820 If you're just tuning in, this is The Stone Zone.

00:15:04.240 I'm Roger Stone.

00:15:05.400 Whatever you do, don't go away because we'll be right back.

00:15:11.380 The Stone Zone.

00:15:13.320 Entertaining and informative.

00:15:15.100 on the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:15:18.480 Welcome back into the Stone Zone.

00:15:21.180 Well, Cracker Barrel has announced

00:15:22.880 that they'll be taking the advice

00:15:24.360 of President Donald Trump

00:15:25.620 and they're going back to their old logo

00:15:28.320 after a widespread backlash

00:15:30.340 against their bland new logo.

00:15:34.340 After their new logo was unveiled

00:15:35.820 to almost universal scorn and disgust,

00:15:38.720 Trump said on True Social,

00:15:40.700 Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo,

00:15:42.880 admit a mistake based on customer response, which is, of course, the ultimate poll,

00:15:48.560 and manage the company better than ever before.

00:15:51.600 They've got a billion dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right.

00:15:55.080 Now, this is very tricky to do, he said, but it's also a great opportunity.

00:15:59.500 To their credit, Cracker Barrel took Trump's advice as they hoped to go woke, go broke.

00:16:05.240 Axiom does not end up applying to them.

00:16:08.460 Cracker Barrel announced in their own ex-posting,

00:16:11.760 We thank our guests for sharing their voices and their love for Cracker Barrel.

00:16:16.500 We said we would listen and we have our new logos going away and our old timer logo will return.

00:16:24.060 At Cracker Barrel, it's as it has always been and always will be.

00:16:28.140 It's about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels very much like family.

00:16:37.780 Cracker Barrel now has a chance for a reset.

00:16:40.240 They can reverse course and go back to what made the brand into a national favorite.

00:16:46.340 They can restore the old-timey decor and the features that made Milk America fall in love with the brand.

00:16:53.600 They need to end their sponsorship for the radical Woke Left Pride events.

00:16:58.880 It's time for Cracker Barrel to get back to the basics and become a brand that patriots and all Americans can enjoy again.

00:17:06.060 If you're just tuning in, I'm Roger Stone.

00:17:08.980 I'm not going to Cracker Barrel for dinner tonight, but I might hit it for lunch tomorrow.

00:17:13.740 Whatever you do, please don't touch that dial.

00:17:16.120 We'll be back with more political news on the other side.

00:17:21.800 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:17:28.740 Welcome back.

00:17:29.900 We're back in the Stone Zone.

00:17:31.520 Yes, today is my birthday, a date that I share with Lyndon Baines Johnson, who I famously exposed in my book, The Man Who Killed Kennedy, The Case Against LBJ, way back in 2015.

00:17:45.280 Six different publishers told me that that book would never be a commercial sense, but it became an almost immediate New York Times bestseller.

00:17:54.140 If you do order the book, folks, go for the paperback.

00:17:56.760 It has three extra chapters.

00:17:59.660 So there's a certain irony.

00:18:01.680 I want to thank the hundreds.

00:18:03.520 At this point, it's the thousands of people who've sent me text messages, emails, and extended their birthday wishes.

00:18:10.980 God bless you all, and many thanks.

00:18:13.500 I'm 72 years old, but believe me, I'm just warming up.

00:18:17.080 Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is calling for RICO charges against the subversive network run by billionaire George Soros and his heir apparent son, Alex, as they fund left-wing activism and violence in the United States and across the globe.

00:18:35.780 President Trump wrote in a truth social post, George Soros and his wonderful radical left son should be charged with racketeering because of their support for violent protests and much more all throughout the United States.

00:18:51.520 We're not going to be allowed these lunatics to rip apart America anymore, never giving it so much as a chance to breathe and be free.

00:19:00.540 I often wondered about this because it is absolutely provable that George Soros and his many nonprofits have actually paid people to make posts in social media advocating the assassination of the president of the United States. 0.59

00:19:17.380 That is patently illegal. But unfortunately, we've had a two-tier justice system in which we now know, thanks to the heroic efforts of Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, that there was a seditious conspiracy born in a White House meeting in 2017 in which the entire Russian collusion hoax was fabricated.

00:19:43.600 It's amazing to me that Soros has never been prosecuted.

00:19:48.660 There's a very famous CBS interview, you can still find it online,

00:19:52.980 which Soros says that the high point of his life was when he was collaborating with the Nazis

00:19:59.260 to help them track down Jews in the systematic Holocaust that took place.

00:20:05.520 So for far too long, the FBI has given a pass to Antifa-style groups and those covering for them,

00:20:11.580 repeating their propaganda and refusing to properly investigate their funding apparatus and sources.

00:20:19.840 This must all change. All points lead to George Soros.

00:20:24.760 Soros founded the Open Society Foundation in 1979.

00:20:29.940 It was an umbrella organization meant to fuel the spread of left-wing radicalism.

00:20:35.580 He has undeniably been successful in his mission, but that success stops today.

00:20:41.580 President Donald Trump has Soros in his crosshairs, legally, and George Soros, at the ripe age of 95, may not be able to escape justice, but he certainly will not.

00:20:54.260 In the meantime, a transgender mass shooter has targeted Christian children in a Minnesota rampage, a mentally ill transgender maniac targeted a Catholic school in Minneapolis to go on a murderous rampage on Wednesday morning.

00:21:11.900 The transgender shooter is allegedly a biological male named Robin Westman, who reportedly wrote Kill Donald Trump and Where Is Your God on the Rifles magazine that included pro-LGBT defend equality stickers upon his deranged manifesto. 0.89

00:21:34.020 His rampage left two children dead, two children in critical condition, and another 12 injured. 0.65

00:21:41.900 Westman committed suicide after committing this cowardly ambush and attack.

00:21:48.520 After the shooting, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry insulted and mocked people of faith by saying,

00:21:55.400 don't just say thoughts and prayers.

00:21:58.080 These kids were literally praying.

00:22:00.660 This is the level of evil we're dealing with from the extremists in the far left of the Democrat Party. 0.51

00:22:06.620 They spread propaganda so that mentally ill, transgendered people for years, radicalizing them by lying to them and telling them their rights are at risk when they aren't. 0.80

00:22:18.600 Then, after they lash out against innocent children, murdered because of their faith, the Democrat leaders attack Christianity as they attempt to grab their guns.

00:22:30.020 We must stand boldly against this evil and must never sacrifice our fundamental rights.

00:22:35.840 It is our constitutional rights that are under attack, not the imaginary rights of these individuals who choose to mutilate their own genitals.

00:22:46.360 Meanwhile, the Democrat National Committee pays off Kamala Harris's massive presidential campaign debts.

00:22:53.620 Now, it's always been shocking to me that the Democrats who whined incessantly about the danger that Donald Trump and the Republicans posed to democracy managed to dump an incumbent president of the United States and replace them with a nominee who was never selected or voted upon by any Democrat primary voter or any Democrat caucus attendee.

00:23:22.140 The Democrat National Committee is now busy raising the funds, not for the 2026 elections, but rather to pay off the debts from the failed, disastrous campaign of Kamala Harris.

00:23:35.880 Incredibly, a recent book told us that Harris' advisors really misled her about the polling and about her prospects.

00:23:44.240 She actually went into election night believing that she would be elected president, probably because no one who works for her would tell her the truth.

00:23:54.320 This was the most disastrous presidential campaign in American history.

00:23:59.120 A presidential campaign that is successful must have some positive, uplifting agenda for the American people.

00:24:05.960 Donald Trump was very clear about his agenda, whether it was closing the borders, negotiating better tariff deals, cutting taxes, cutting government waste, and rebuilding our military strength, at the same time appointing more conservatives to our judiciary.

00:24:26.860 Meanwhile, Kamala Harris's campaign boiled down to two central messages. 0.89

00:24:32.140 Donald Trump is Hitler, and if you vote for him, that means you must be a Nazi.

00:24:36.520 Not very uplifting or positive for a campaign. 0.95

00:24:39.340 It amazes to me that people like Beyonce and Oprah were paid literally hundreds, if not millions of dollars for their endorsements.

00:24:50.500 Lee Greenwood, the country and western music sensation superstar, endorsed President Donald Trump,

00:24:56.920 sang at a number of his events and rallies, never charged the president a penny.

00:25:02.120 It's unheard of. Even Al Sharpton charged Kamala Harris to be on his MSNBC show and receive his

00:25:09.920 endorsement. The DNC has come to a private agreement with the Harris campaign that would

00:25:15.640 cover her debts. They've already given $15 million to the campaign, but there's far more to go.

00:25:22.240 The Harris campaign blew through a stunning $1.5 billion in what oftentimes looks more like a money laundering scheme than any kind of legitimate presidential run.

00:25:35.380 So while the Democrat National Committee scrambles to pay off Harris's debts and donors and becomes increasingly repulsed at the idea of throwing their money down the drain to establishment crooks,

00:25:47.360 The Republican National Committee had an $80 million raised cash in hand by the end of the month of June.

00:25:56.400 The DNC's malfeasance will only fuel the rise of Bernie Sanders, AOC, and the Ayatollah, Zoran Mamdami, and the insurgency that they represent.

00:26:08.380 The socialists will use the corruption of the Democrat establishment to seize power over the entire party.

00:26:15.060 It's only a matter of time, and we cannot laugh off this threat.

00:26:20.340 We saw it firsthand in the New York Democrat primary for mayor.

00:26:25.580 Recently, we had Sam Antar, the fraud investigator here in the Stone Zone, who proved to us that rather than a grassroots uprising,

00:26:35.080 rather than a people-powered revolution that took on the dark-moneyed interests and the special interests,

00:26:41.340 that Mamdami's campaign was financed by millionaires and billionaires and bundlers,

00:26:48.820 and they used an interlocking series of nonprofits that under the IRS law

00:26:54.800 are theoretically not supposed to be engaging in political activity.

00:26:58.740 In fact, Sam Antar sent me a formal complaint that he had sent to the IRS today.

00:27:06.760 It remains to be seen whether that body will act in time for the coming general election.

00:27:15.060 The socialists will use the corruption of the democratic establishment to seize power over the entire party, as they have in New York City.

00:27:22.180 It's only a matter of time, and unfortunately, we cannot just laugh off this threat.

00:27:27.500 The Russians laughed off the Bolsheviks, and look how that turned out for them. 0.91

00:27:31.220 We must maintain eternal vigilance and be ready to fight against these enemies of America as they rise and become more formidable. 0.91

00:27:40.420 Unfortunately, if the current trend continues, Zoran McDami will be the mayor of New York City.

00:27:49.720 Just as New York City enacted cashless bail, as New York State did, Chicago followed suit.

00:27:57.480 And we've seen the results there, where J.B. Pritzker and the mayor, Brandon Johnson, insist that the tyranny is if President Donald Trump mobilizes the National Guard to fight a crime epidemic in that city.

00:28:14.060 So the president's very serious about the crime package that he's working on with Speaker Mike Johnson and Senator John Thune.

00:28:23.300 He is the law and order president.

00:28:25.660 I believe he will mobilize the National Guard in Chicago, which he can do by declaring a federal emergency.

00:28:34.380 See, unlike D.C., where D.C. is not a state, the president has the authority to federalize the Metropolitan Police.

00:28:42.860 The president does not have the assured authority in New York or in Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, or any other city where we're experiencing a crime epidemic.

00:28:53.760 But he does have the right to mobilize the National Guard in Chicago, and already Mayor Brandon Johnson is calling on the people of Chicago to rise up and resist this tyranny.

00:29:07.880 Tyranny. Why are these people against safe neighborhoods? Why are they against the gangs?

00:29:14.340 Why are they against the crime spree that we see happening before our very eyes?

00:29:20.600 In the meantime, the Pentagon is considering equity stakes in a major defense contractor.

00:29:27.560 President Dwight Eisenhower warned us about this.

00:29:30.680 Let's listen to him.

00:29:32.220 A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment.

00:29:37.140 Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action,

00:29:40.960 so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction.

00:29:46.260 Our military organization today bears little relation to that known of any of my predecessors in peacetime,

00:29:54.700 or indeed by the fighting men of World War II or Korea.

00:29:59.760 Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry.

00:30:07.180 American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well.

00:30:13.780 But we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense.

00:30:20.500 We have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions.

00:30:26.880 Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment.

00:30:34.220 We annually spend on military security alone more than the net income of all United States corporations.

00:30:43.780 Now, this conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience.

00:30:53.920 The total influence, economic, political, even spiritual, is felt in every city, every statehouse, every office of the federal government.

00:31:04.600 We recognize the imperative need for this development, yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications.

00:31:13.780 Our toil, resources, and livelihood are all involved.

00:31:18.580 So is the very structure of our society.

00:31:22.160 In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence,

00:31:28.460 whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.

00:31:34.320 The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

00:31:39.580 We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.

00:31:47.000 We should take nothing for granted.

00:31:49.960 Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense

00:31:58.740 with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.

00:32:05.540 That was one of our greatest presidents, Dwight Eisenhower, warning us about the military-industrial complex.

00:32:14.420 Today, we call it the Deep State. 0.53

00:32:17.480 I'll have more to talk about it when we come right back.

00:32:22.820 The Stone Zone, entertaining and informative on the Red Apple Podcast Network.

00:32:29.760 And we're back in the Stone Zone.

00:32:31.780 You see, I played that clip of Dwight Eisenhower warning us about the military industrial complex.

00:32:38.580 That was 1952, the year I was born.

00:32:42.740 It's because of this story.

00:32:44.440 You see, White House Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said during a CNBC interview on Tuesday

00:32:49.980 that the Pentagon is considering whether to purchase equity stakes in top corporate defense contractors.

00:32:57.100 Lutnick stated accurately that Lockheed Martin is basically an arm of the U.S. government

00:33:04.480 because it extracts most of its revenues from federal contracts

00:33:08.720 Lutnick stated that the Secretary of Defense and the Deputy Secretary of Defense

00:33:14.280 are currently thinking over the feasibility of direct government investment in the defense industry

00:33:20.600 Lutnick frames the move as a way for the government to get a better investment

00:33:26.040 stop getting ripped off by the military-industrial complex that Dwight Eisenhower was talking about,

00:33:32.660 which, of course, theoretically, at least on paper, would be a good thing.

00:33:36.640 However, this sort of a move could backfire and represent the unholy union of the Pentagon

00:33:42.860 and the defense contractors, both of whom are incentivized, therefore,

00:33:47.560 by their very existence to push for more war and more conflict throughout the globe.

00:33:53.980 The revolving door that exists between the Pentagon and the defense contractors already exists and has not been good for peace or prosperity.

00:34:05.460 This move to nationalize defense contractors could worsen the collusion that is already taking place between both corrupt entities.

00:34:14.100 The Trump administration recently made a deal with Intel to buy nearly 10% of their stocks for the purposes of bringing jobs and industry back to America.

00:34:24.740 The administration is considering other deals, but they should be very, very leery, in my opinion, of doing so with defense contractors that have lobbied for endless wars throughout the globe for many years.

00:34:37.120 If there's any place to focus our attention, it would be on rare earth minerals.

00:34:42.580 You see, the Chinese have gone out of their way to try to corner the international market on rare earth minerals, things that we need to build everyday things like computer chips and other high-tech products.

00:34:57.160 So perhaps the administration should focus on rare earth minerals and how we can stop what is almost a communist Chinese monopoly on them today.

00:35:09.640 Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has threatened tariffs over digital taxation and regulation.

00:35:14.920 Trump has laid down the gauntlet to nations that are imposing taxes and restrictions against U.S. tech companies, threatening them with large tariffs if they do not reverse their policies immediately.

00:35:27.540 Trump wrote on social media,

00:35:29.700 I will stand up to countries that attack our incredible American tech companies.

00:35:34.940 Digital taxes, digital services legislation, and digital market regulations are all designed

00:35:40.360 to harm or discriminate against American technology.

00:35:45.260 They also outrageously give a complete pass to China's largest tech companies.

00:35:50.900 This must end, and it must end now, said the president.

00:35:55.180 Last week, the United States and the European Union issued a joint statement that they would

00:36:00.520 work towards reciprocal, fair, and balanced trade that would eliminate unjustified digital

00:36:07.340 trade barriers, with both sides agreeing not to put customs duties on electronics transmissions.

00:36:14.420 The EU also agreed not to levy network usage fees. It's a step in the right direction.

00:36:20.400 With his statement, President Trump is showing that he will not accept the European Union

00:36:25.740 welching on that agreement.

00:36:27.100 He fully expects them to adopt these rules and stop discriminating against the American

00:36:32.660 tech industry.

00:36:34.220 This is part of President Trump's plan to achieve American tech dominance and to prevent

00:36:38.860 China from dominating the nascent tech industry that is shaping up for the future of the world.

00:36:45.380 I've known Donald Trump for 50 years.

00:36:47.700 He's a man who means what he says and says what he means.

00:36:51.900 He's also a man that, after Butler, Pennsylvania, has an incredible sense of urgency.

00:36:58.280 He knows that he is blessed by the armor of God.

00:37:00.840 He's protected.

00:37:02.220 And I hope every American prays for his protecting.

00:37:05.100 But he also knows that he only has four years to turn this country around.
