00:04:55.680 Therefore, she got a state tax break, a lower mortgage rate and a lower insurance rate.

00:05:03.000 Two weeks later, she claimed that her home outside of Atlanta was her principal legal residence, where once again, she got a state tax break, a lower mortgage rate and a lower insurance rate.

00:05:19.440 Incredibly, the Wall Street Journal and editorial accuses Bill Pulte, the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, of targeting Ms. Cook.

00:05:53.340 But the truth is, both of them are either at the same level or lower than the place they were the last four times the Federal Reserve cut rates.

00:32:31.780 You see, I played that clip of Dwight Eisenhower warning us about the military industrial complex.

00:32:38.580 That was 1952, the year I was born.

00:32:42.740 It's because of this story.

00:32:44.440 You see, White House Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said during a CNBC interview on Tuesday

00:32:49.980 that the Pentagon is considering whether to purchase equity stakes in top corporate defense contractors.

00:32:57.100 Lutnick stated accurately that Lockheed Martin is basically an arm of the U.S. government

00:33:04.480 because it extracts most of its revenues from federal contracts

00:33:08.720 Lutnick stated that the Secretary of Defense and the Deputy Secretary of Defense

00:33:14.280 are currently thinking over the feasibility of direct government investment in the defense industry

00:33:20.600 Lutnick frames the move as a way for the government to get a better investment

00:33:26.040 stop getting ripped off by the military-industrial complex that Dwight Eisenhower was talking about,

00:33:32.660 which, of course, theoretically, at least on paper, would be a good thing.

00:33:36.640 However, this sort of a move could backfire and represent the unholy union of the Pentagon

00:33:42.860 and the defense contractors, both of whom are incentivized, therefore,

00:33:47.560 by their very existence to push for more war and more conflict throughout the globe.

00:33:53.980 The revolving door that exists between the Pentagon and the defense contractors already exists and has not been good for peace or prosperity.

00:34:05.460 This move to nationalize defense contractors could worsen the collusion that is already taking place between both corrupt entities.

00:34:14.100 The Trump administration recently made a deal with Intel to buy nearly 10% of their stocks for the purposes of bringing jobs and industry back to America.

00:34:24.740 The administration is considering other deals, but they should be very, very leery, in my opinion, of doing so with defense contractors that have lobbied for endless wars throughout the globe for many years.

00:34:37.120 If there's any place to focus our attention, it would be on rare earth minerals.

00:34:42.580 You see, the Chinese have gone out of their way to try to corner the international market on rare earth minerals, things that we need to build everyday things like computer chips and other high-tech products.

00:34:57.160 So perhaps the administration should focus on rare earth minerals and how we can stop what is almost a communist Chinese monopoly on them today.

00:35:09.640 Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has threatened tariffs over digital taxation and regulation.

00:35:14.920 Trump has laid down the gauntlet to nations that are imposing taxes and restrictions against U.S. tech companies, threatening them with large tariffs if they do not reverse their policies immediately.

00:35:27.540 Trump wrote on social media,

00:35:29.700 I will stand up to countries that attack our incredible American tech companies.

00:35:34.940 Digital taxes, digital services legislation, and digital market regulations are all designed

00:35:40.360 to harm or discriminate against American technology.

00:35:45.260 They also outrageously give a complete pass to China's largest tech companies.

00:35:50.900 This must end, and it must end now, said the president.

00:35:55.180 Last week, the United States and the European Union issued a joint statement that they would

00:36:00.520 work towards reciprocal, fair, and balanced trade that would eliminate unjustified digital

00:36:07.340 trade barriers, with both sides agreeing not to put customs duties on electronics transmissions.

00:36:14.420 The EU also agreed not to levy network usage fees. It's a step in the right direction.

00:36:20.400 With his statement, President Trump is showing that he will not accept the European Union

00:36:25.740 welching on that agreement.

00:36:27.100 He fully expects them to adopt these rules and stop discriminating against the American

00:36:32.660 tech industry.

00:36:34.220 This is part of President Trump's plan to achieve American tech dominance and to prevent

00:36:38.860 China from dominating the nascent tech industry that is shaping up for the future of the world.

00:36:45.380 I've known Donald Trump for 50 years.

00:36:47.700 He's a man who means what he says and says what he means.

00:36:51.900 He's also a man that, after Butler, Pennsylvania, has an incredible sense of urgency.
