00:03:35.520 uh

00:03:43.760 oh

00:03:52.240 Yeah, that's where I moved over to Nashville a few years ago.

00:03:55.520 Is that where you live now?

00:03:56.280 Yeah.

00:03:56.660 Oh, cool, yeah.

00:03:57.240 That's a great place.

00:03:58.220 Save that tax money, too, baby.

00:04:00.000 Yeah, I'm kidding.

00:04:01.000 And you can conceal, carry a weapon over there.

00:04:04.420 Oh, you can?

00:04:05.100 Oh, yeah.

00:04:06.260 I believe that.

00:04:07.160 We really can't carry a weapon now.

00:04:10.140 I mean, even if it's not legal, somebody's carrying a weapon.

00:04:14.840 That's a true point, dude.

00:04:17.000 Well, heck, in half your career, somebody always,

00:04:19.280 that was the funny thing about wrestling.

00:04:20.720 Somebody always showed up with a weapon.

00:04:22.460 I was like, Jesus Christ.

00:04:24.160 You have no idea.

00:04:26.420 You wouldn't believe some of the stories I could tell you about guns.

00:04:31.380 Yeah, man.

00:04:32.080 I'm trying to think when I saw my first gun.

00:04:35.600 Did y'all have guns in the house growing up?

00:04:38.680 Yeah.

00:04:39.020 My dad was an avid hunter.

00:04:41.120 He was?

00:04:41.720 Yeah.

00:04:42.540 I grew up in Minnesota, so we pheasant, duck, stuff like that.

00:04:46.060 Oh, yeah.

00:04:46.860 Yeah, not big game, but shotguns.

00:04:49.900 Yeah.

00:04:50.620 And then I collected guns for years.

00:04:54.160 I had a guy that was a policeman in Asheville, North Carolina.

00:04:59.320 I won't mention his name. 0.98

00:05:00.960 In the 70s, you know how these guns that they recover in raids and all that shit, right? 0.94

00:05:07.980 And he would let me walk in the room, pick out what I wanted. 0.97

00:05:10.780 He would pay, I would just pay ridiculously low amounts of money.

00:05:15.740 Like, as an example, they used to have the state troopers to carry that nickel-plated at .357.

00:05:22.780 I mean, yeah, unbelievable.

00:05:25.260 Well, they can't even find those guns anymore.

00:05:26.640 Yeah.

00:05:27.060 Yeah.

00:05:27.980 The only gun I don't have, I should have got it, but I didn't, is I was going to buy a replica

00:05:36.300 of the Lone Survivor.

00:05:38.480 The Lone Ranger?

00:05:39.060 No, the Lone Survivor.

00:05:41.140 The rifle.

00:05:42.440 Oh, I've never even seen it, I don't think.

00:05:44.080 Oh, yeah.

00:05:44.440 The one that Bradley Cooper carried, remember?

00:05:46.900 Yeah.

00:05:47.180 Uh-uh.

00:05:47.620 Oh, yeah.

00:05:48.060 Who played Lone Survivor?

00:05:50.200 Wahlberg or Cooper?

00:05:51.560 Mark Wahlberg.

00:05:52.120 Mark Wahlberg.

00:05:53.240 Where was the sniper?

00:05:54.900 Oh, I've got to check that out.

00:05:56.200 That rifle's beautiful.

00:05:57.300 Yeah?

00:05:57.620 Yeah, they have it right here in Tampa.

00:05:59.900 I shot, recently I shot, I was in Nashville, actually, I was at Kid Rock's house.

00:06:05.160 Have you ever met Kid Rock?

00:06:05.880 Oh, Kid, I know him real well.

00:06:06.880 Yeah, dude.

00:06:07.980 Yeah, and John, they went all five of the bars now.

00:06:10.600 Yeah, yeah, they do.

00:06:11.460 I'm trying to get the kid to carry the drink.

00:06:13.440 He won't carry it for you?

00:06:14.420 I haven't asked him yet.

00:06:15.340 Oh, yeah.

00:06:15.700 But I'm going to.

00:06:16.380 Yeah, I know him real well.

00:06:17.940 Yeah, his place is too much, huh?

00:06:19.520 Oh, man.

00:06:20.320 His place is unreal.

00:06:21.140 He built like a new, it's almost like the capital of the South in a way or something.

00:06:27.400 It's a replica of the White House.

00:06:28.780 Yeah.

00:06:29.380 Yeah.

00:06:30.080 Yeah, you roll up there, you're like, this is unreal.

00:06:32.920 In a big arena, I thought it was like a warehouse.

00:06:35.960 Yeah. 0.91

00:06:36.260 He's got a good darn production studio in there, all his collective cars, I mean, two bars, 0.95

00:06:42.120 a church, 600 acres of prime land. 0.97

00:06:45.580 Oh, yeah.

00:06:45.920 He said he can get married and divorced right there legally on his property.

00:06:49.160 Yeah.

00:06:49.400 I was like, that's unreal.

00:06:51.140 I said, I think the bar probably helps you get divorced. 0.99

00:06:53.400 Yeah.

00:06:53.540 I said, I think that'll lead to it.

00:06:54.820 Yeah.

00:06:55.560 Yeah.

00:06:55.820 He's not touring right now.

00:06:57.000 He said, I'm going to let the young kids or help inspire them and help them.

00:07:02.220 Yeah.

00:07:03.340 Rick, thanks for hanging out, man.

00:07:05.660 Thank you for having me.

00:07:06.980 Man, I spent so much of my childhood watching you, man.

00:07:09.580 And thank you.

00:07:10.360 Thank you.

00:07:10.780 You know, it was, some people watched WWF, right?

00:07:16.320 Yeah.

00:07:16.600 And that was fine.

00:07:17.680 That was easy.

00:07:18.520 Yeah.

00:07:19.020 But when I was a kid, if you stayed up and if you watched NWA, right, that's who knew

00:07:24.980 about, like those, that's when you could tell if people were rich or not.

00:07:28.680 Yeah.

00:07:29.460 That's what I felt like.

00:07:30.660 Yeah.

00:07:30.800 Like poor kids always knew about all the NWA guys.

00:07:33.800 Yeah.

00:07:34.080 Where are you from?

00:07:35.080 I'm from Covington, Louisiana.

00:07:36.720 Okay.

00:07:37.280 Cool.

00:07:37.440 So just like a small town outside of New Orleans.

00:07:40.040 Mid-South.

00:07:40.700 Yeah.

00:07:41.600 And man, it was, dude, Terry Funk, just, uh, Ron Eriks.

00:07:47.780 Yeah.

00:07:48.060 Just, God, there was so much awesome wrestling back then.

00:07:51.420 JYD. 0.68

00:07:52.200 Oh, dude.

00:07:53.520 What was he like in person?

00:07:55.180 Good guy.

00:07:55.840 Yeah?

00:07:56.220 Yeah.

00:07:56.940 Guy'd way too early.

00:07:58.460 But that was the Rock and Roll Express where they're in that express.

00:08:01.000 Yeah.

00:08:01.640 Bill Watts.

00:08:02.680 Yeah.

00:08:03.820 You know, we've lost a lot of them, unfortunately.

00:08:06.240 The Von Eriks.

00:08:07.660 Oh, all gone except for Kevin.

00:08:10.560 And that's, I mean, yeah, that whole family just tragedy.

00:08:14.460 Three suicides, I think, in the family.

00:08:16.720 Did you go to any of those funerals?

00:08:18.240 What about the funerals over the years?

00:08:19.940 I went to three of them.

00:08:22.760 Well, obviously, the oldest son, you know, got electrocuted.

00:08:25.860 When his dad first started out there in Buffalo, New York.

00:08:28.520 Yeah, when he was a kid.

00:08:29.340 He had a trailer.

00:08:30.660 He was not an interval wrestler or anything. 1.00

00:08:32.100 He got electrocuted with a hot wire in a damn trailer park. 0.98

00:08:37.780 And then Carrie and David, you know, had some kind of, obviously, illegal substance. 0.99

00:08:46.580 It was a, I can't remember what they're called.

00:08:49.760 It was probably, I hope it was cocaine.

00:08:51.080 No, no, it's a muscle relaxer.

00:08:53.020 Oh.

00:08:53.480 He choked to death.

00:08:54.380 He couldn't regurgitate.

00:08:55.900 They call them, um.

00:08:57.860 Quaaludes?

00:08:58.540 Somas. 0.69

00:08:59.560 Somas, dude.

00:09:00.240 Oh, yeah.

00:09:01.280 Yeah.

00:09:01.660 I took some Somas once.

00:09:02.720 He loaded up on Somas and he got sick after eating Korean barbecue and all that, which we all do in Japan. 0.98

00:09:08.320 And he died right there in his own room.

00:09:11.940 God.

00:09:12.180 Same thing happened to Miss Elizabeth.

00:09:15.020 Really?

00:09:15.460 Yeah, she couldn't regurgitate because she was taking the Somas and that, I've never understood that, but that, that high from a Soma is nothing I want to entertain ever. 1.00

00:09:25.460 Yeah, a buddy of mine gave me two Somas once and I was, he wanted me to drive us somewhere.

00:09:30.920 Yeah.

00:09:31.340 So he was not a, he's not the smartest guy.

00:09:34.100 And I drove us onto a street that didn't even exist right into a ditch.

00:09:38.320 I'm sure.

00:09:39.200 I've never tried one, but man, I've, I've been, I can name three or four guys that have died, you know, because they just can't regurgitate.

00:09:47.200 They wake up in the middle of the night and that the Somas relax your muscles so bad, you can't. 1.00

00:09:52.360 Yeah.

00:09:52.900 Yeah.

00:09:53.180 I mean, it's 10 times the impact about Valium.

00:09:57.540 Yeah, man.

00:09:58.180 Some of those medicines are just too powerful.

00:10:00.100 Yeah.

00:10:00.700 Did, did you go to some funerals over the year?

00:10:03.280 What was, what was like a wild funeral?

00:10:05.880 What was one that really hit you, man?

00:10:07.860 Was there, I mean, obviously funerals are just heartbreaking.

00:10:11.320 Well, probably the hardest for me, um, in the last five years, but well, first of all, Dusty Rhodes was, Dusty and Piper were really difficult for me.

00:10:22.780 And then Harley Race, that was really difficult.

00:10:26.900 But, uh.

00:10:27.840 Yeah, Dusty must have shot, I mean, it must have been heartbreaking.

00:10:30.300 The WWE, they, they, the funeral for Dusty was as, was as well handled as I think I've ever seen.

00:10:37.940 They had it here in Tampa, obviously. 0.96

00:10:40.360 And the, shit, there were probably 2,000 people trying to get in, but the WWE had full security. 0.98

00:10:46.600 And, um, the boys spoke so elegantly of their dad. 0.99

00:10:52.760 Um, Cody, who's wrestling now, well, they both wrestle, but Cody with WWE was telling a story.

00:10:59.840 And he, you know, he didn't, neither one broke down real bad.

00:11:03.460 I'll break down the way I think about it.

00:11:04.980 But he said, he asked his mom one time, he said, how come there's only just pictures of dad in the house and no other wrestlers?

00:11:12.360 And his mother replied, why would you have a picture of any other wrestler when you're married to Elvis?

00:11:18.840 Hmm.

00:11:20.000 Yeah.

00:11:21.560 Well, he was, was he a good husband?

00:11:22.940 What kind of guy was he?

00:11:23.840 Great guy.

00:11:24.540 Wow.

00:11:25.460 Great guy.

00:11:25.940 He was so lovable.

00:11:26.780 The most innovative.

00:11:27.540 You know, one of the most innovative, right?

00:11:30.360 They were tied with Vince and innovative with ideas and creativity and, uh.

00:11:37.040 He was so fun to, like, there's wrestlers that are entertaining to watch because of their physical acumen.

00:11:44.260 There's wrestlers that are entertaining to watch because of the moves they do.

00:11:47.220 Yeah.

00:11:48.540 Dusty had that, like, I love when he would go against the ropes and kind of put on this, like,

00:11:53.040 like, almost feminine wiles kind of thing, you know, and, like, he was just a, um.

00:11:58.900 You know, he could wrestle.

00:11:59.640 I wrestled him probably a thousand hour Broadway.

00:12:03.140 He could wrestle for an hour.

00:12:04.580 Wow.

00:12:05.100 Yeah.

00:12:05.300 Don't let his weight.

00:12:06.180 It was, it was deceiving as to the fact that he could, he was in good condition.

00:12:11.300 It's hard to wrestle an hour.

00:12:12.600 Yeah.

00:12:13.460 Oh, yeah, dude.

00:12:14.560 Oh, I can't even make love for 11 minutes.

00:12:16.680 Yeah.

00:12:18.440 To be honest with you.

00:12:19.940 So.

00:12:20.160 So, yeah, you put me against another man.

00:12:24.000 I can't do an hour, bro.

00:12:25.680 You know, no matter what city we're in.

00:12:28.020 I bet I keep you overnight in Tampa tonight, brother.

00:12:31.420 I get some people that can help you out with that.

00:12:34.380 I don't know, dude.

00:12:37.440 I don't know, man.

00:12:38.480 My friend Dick Murdoch told me I started one time.

00:12:40.800 The girl said, hey, what about me?

00:12:42.740 He said, hey, we both started at the same time.

00:12:44.860 I can't help it if you can't keep up.

00:12:50.160 That doesn't play with the chicks these days. 1.00

00:12:53.900 No, these days.

00:12:55.180 Yeah.

00:12:55.360 All these chicks want to, you know, everybody wants to get off and it's just too much, man. 1.00

00:13:00.260 I miss the old days when a woman was as happy you showed off. 1.00

00:13:06.720 I can't.

00:13:07.440 Yeah, man.

00:13:08.120 Well, I always had to take, you know, I've always had, so I was always so nervous.

00:13:11.360 I've always been nervous, kind of nervous my whole life.

00:13:13.540 And I've always had to get those gas station pills, those wiener pills, you know.

00:13:18.620 And a lot of the series they came out with, they never even tested.

00:13:21.460 I don't think on humans or whatever.

00:13:22.760 I think a lot of them were animal tested.

00:13:24.660 Yeah.

00:13:26.000 Which I respect, but it's a little different, you know.

00:13:28.880 Three blocks from here at the age of the nation.

00:13:30.960 I get four shots a week then, brother.

00:13:33.780 Oh, really?

00:13:34.600 I'll take you by after we do the interview.

00:13:36.640 They shoot you up?

00:13:37.660 Oh, yeah.

00:13:38.580 Oh, wow.

00:13:39.360 It's amazing what you can do to yourself these days. 1.00

00:13:41.300 Oh, damn. 1.00

00:13:42.320 If you got the money. 1.00

00:13:43.780 They shoot you right in your wiener? 0.59

00:13:45.220 Yeah, right there.

00:13:47.500 Wow.

00:13:47.920 Takes 25 years off. 1.00

00:13:49.540 Oh, damn, dude. 0.99

00:13:53.260 Yeah, because look, I would get these, I'd get the gas station pills and they make my legs 1.00

00:13:56.920 sweat, right?

00:13:59.160 So I could have, heck, but I could barely stay on the bed.

00:14:01.860 That was the problem.

00:14:04.340 I mean, it would be like, the lady would be like, she'd be like, did you get off?

00:14:08.260 I'd be like, no, but I think my thighs did. 0.97

00:14:10.280 I mean, they make your legs sweat so bad.

00:14:13.580 Some of them, they made them in India.

00:14:15.140 Yeah.

00:14:15.620 And I mean, those shook my nervous system.

00:14:18.200 But yeah, I've always needed the pills, man.

00:14:20.980 I think I used to, I used a lot of steroids when I was young and I don't know if that had

00:14:24.540 enough, I don't know, who knows, who knows, you know, it could just be that I'm in my head

00:14:27.980 a lot, but yeah, I've always had.

00:14:32.380 I took a few too, I have to admit, in my youth.

00:14:35.300 Oh, yeah.

00:14:36.600 Dude, I took them, dude, I once, I'll tell you. 0.99

00:14:38.660 And small testicles. 0.99

00:14:41.220 You had small, yeah. 0.99

00:14:43.620 Nobody explains the downside.

00:14:46.800 Oh, man, you could spend four minutes looking for one of your nuts.

00:14:50.840 Exactly.

00:14:51.580 If you're on some.

00:14:52.080 Wait, we got the medicine over here to make them grow back?

00:14:54.880 Oh, yeah.

00:14:56.760 It's called ACG.

00:14:57.760 How big do they get?

00:15:01.780 I don't know.

00:15:03.800 Everybody's got a different opinion.

00:15:07.040 Oh, I remember.

00:15:08.160 Mine got so small.

00:15:09.220 I think when I was a senior in high school, it was like trying to find the last two pieces

00:15:12.700 of Halloween candy in a pillowcase, man.

00:15:16.080 It was, it was, it got pretty bad there.

00:15:19.620 Yeah, I remember, we used to use Test 200, I think was what we used or something.

00:15:25.900 200 milligrams test, yeah. 0.99

00:15:27.580 God, that shit was fun. 1.00

00:15:28.800 Yeah. 1.00

00:15:29.560 My God, I would fucking choke out my own stepmother. 1.00

00:15:32.440 Yeah. 1.00

00:15:32.900 And I didn't even have one.

00:15:34.660 You know, I never, I never experienced that.

00:15:37.460 I never gave me, I guess I didn't take enough of it, but I didn't have that, what they call

00:15:41.840 road rage.

00:15:42.840 Yeah.

00:15:43.080 I mean, things upset me over the years, but it wasn't as a result of being a steroid,

00:15:49.880 you know.

00:15:50.300 Yeah.

00:15:51.000 But I think you had enough, you had enough energy in you.

00:15:54.300 Yeah.

00:15:54.580 I've always been high energy.

00:15:56.560 Yeah.

00:15:57.120 What a blessing, huh?

00:15:58.160 Yeah.

00:15:58.520 People have always assumed that I snorted cocaine and all that.

00:16:02.160 The only drug I've ever taken, but it was prescription Xanax.

00:16:07.040 Really?

00:16:07.680 No cocaine.

00:16:09.360 I did smoke weed when I'm younger and I smoke it now.

00:16:11.820 Now that I'm involved in the world of cannabis, but I think that's one of the reasons I'm

00:16:17.220 still here, because that, that up and down of cocaine and then the guys would take the

00:16:21.840 uppers in the morning, you know, not just our guys, but athletes, period.

00:16:27.440 Yeah.

00:16:28.360 It's a game when you're competing, stay up and then go down, stay up, especially, you

00:16:34.900 know, when you're internationally, when you're traveling internationally, you know, like going

00:16:39.340 to Japan twice a month or going to Australia twice a month.

00:16:43.040 Like I was doing it in the eighties.

00:16:45.020 It was crazy.

00:16:45.840 Yeah.

00:16:46.860 Yeah.

00:16:47.220 And once you get used, this is the tough thing about using performance enhancers.

00:16:51.120 I think once you get used to getting something to help you get up or to get down, it's hard

00:16:56.040 not to want to use it again.

00:16:58.680 Yeah.

00:16:59.000 And then you need the opposite of it.

00:17:00.660 Yeah.

00:17:00.800 So that's where it gets really tricky.

00:17:02.780 Well, when I almost died in 17, I mean, I literally, you know, do you know the story?

00:17:07.620 I mean, I know a lot of surgery almost died.

00:17:09.800 So which one are we talking about?

00:17:11.460 The 2017, my intestine rupture.

00:17:14.040 Oh, when you had the stomach, when you had the intestine rupture.

00:17:16.880 Right.

00:17:17.580 I was septic, respiratory heart failure, total kidney failure, pneumonia, septic being the

00:17:24.140 worst part, right?

00:17:24.820 And I was in a coma for 13 days.

00:17:28.860 So when all that, and then of course I had the stoma, the bag attached, had that for a

00:17:35.740 year.

00:17:36.080 But at the end of the day, when I finally realized, and I had no memory for six months going

00:17:41.140 backwards, forward, from the time I woke up, of course I recognized everybody, but I couldn't

00:17:47.220 remember anything.

00:17:48.700 I didn't even remember going to the hospital.

00:17:50.700 Wow. 0.98

00:17:50.780 Um, so, but when I finally started taking a toll of myself, like, I'm like, fuck, I am 1.00

00:17:57.740 really a fucking, I'm a nightmare, cosmetic fucking nightmare. 1.00

00:18:03.900 I look like shit. 1.00

00:18:05.880 My, my, and I, um, so. 1.00

00:18:08.980 What do you mean a cosmetic nightmare?

00:18:10.600 I mean, I've got a scar from here to here.

00:18:13.240 Oh.

00:18:13.560 I lost 41 pounds.

00:18:14.980 I was, stoma, I'll show you some pictures later on.

00:18:18.080 It was bad.

00:18:19.020 So that changed everything.

00:18:20.280 Yeah, and my testosterone count, you know, something I always took pride in, right?

00:18:24.800 And we all do, we get it done, blood work is a necessity of life.

00:18:29.800 My testosterone count was 12.

00:18:32.140 That can kill you alone.

00:18:34.140 But doctors don't want to play, the word testosterone is like, no, like, you know, doctors don't want

00:18:40.240 to hurt.

00:18:41.740 I mean, you can, there are ways to find out the levels that you should be at.

00:18:45.140 But I was down to 12.

00:18:47.600 Wow.

00:18:47.880 So I called the doctor, I said, well, that's too old, but I don't want to prescribe it.

00:18:52.040 12, what?

00:18:52.880 There's 12, 12 sounds like.

00:18:55.200 Yeah, it's supposed to be 400 at my age.

00:18:57.080 Oh, dang, you had 12 left, dude?

00:18:59.180 Yeah, I keep it at the thousand now.

00:19:01.400 Oh, okay.

00:19:02.340 But I have to run by the gas station every week.

00:19:04.240 Oh, yeah, dude, fill her up, you know what I'm saying, brother.

00:19:08.800 Hey, I got $60 on pump number one.

00:19:10.960 The 400 of my age don't work, I get the thousand, I got to have a little bit of a check.

00:19:15.280 Oh, yeah, brother.

00:19:16.860 Isn't a thousand too high for you?

00:19:18.200 Nope.

00:19:19.940 Perfect.

00:19:22.740 Yeah, so you were out of, what was it like to be in a coma, man?

00:19:26.020 I always wanted to be in a coma.

00:19:27.480 I just dreamt.

00:19:29.400 Wow.

00:19:29.760 I just dreamt, and I wake, like I dreamt my daughter, I got married, and I went back

00:19:37.100 and old thought about stuff and wrestling, and it's funny, I got so high with Mike one

00:19:42.020 night.

00:19:42.720 Mike Tyson?

00:19:43.540 Is that what we're talking about, Mike Tyson?

00:19:44.360 Yeah, with Mike.

00:19:44.780 Yeah.

00:19:45.440 So high, we're partners in the cannabis business.

00:19:48.740 Got so high with Mike one night in the Hamptons that I went, it's called a cannabis coma,

00:19:55.940 right?

00:19:57.040 I mean, I actually thought I died.

00:19:59.760 I said to myself, and they brought me back to my room, and I laid there, and I thought,

00:20:07.840 I mean, I wasn't aware of anything.

00:20:09.260 I kept asking people to touch, you know, like you do when you think you've been hurt, and

00:20:14.700 people were squeezing my hand, but I'd be talking to them, and they wouldn't talk back

00:20:18.840 to me, and I was like, you know, on the delay process, right?

00:20:21.620 Yeah.

00:20:21.820 And I said to myself, did I die?

00:20:25.920 Have I just died?

00:20:27.520 Because I feel like I did when I was in my coma.

00:20:29.640 But I can think.

00:20:32.040 I don't think I could think, because I was in my coma.

00:20:34.000 I mean, that's the way I was talking to myself.

00:20:35.740 Wow.

00:20:36.240 So, and all of a sudden, I mean, everything possible, I was in the room, finally, at three

00:20:42.520 o'clock in the morning, I kind of sat up like Linda Blair, and went, I'm alive.

00:20:48.340 I'm back.

00:20:48.880 Yeah.

00:20:49.040 I called someone on the phone and said, is this really you?

00:20:55.080 That's all screwed up I got to.

00:20:57.300 That was just a television, that was a television timeout, Rick.

00:21:00.260 Oh, my God.

00:21:02.040 That's all that was.

00:21:03.600 I said, did I take my clothes off at the dining room table or anything, but let me know what

00:21:07.780 I've done wrong.

00:21:09.200 All I could think of was what I possibly could have done wrong.

00:21:11.880 Yeah.

00:21:13.200 Oh, yeah, man.

00:21:14.240 I remember, I remember just being too, just, yeah, there's something about that level of

00:21:20.440 weed.

00:21:20.740 Now, it gets you too high.

00:21:21.960 Oh, well, I just hadn't done enough, but I practiced up every time I knew I'm going to

00:21:27.800 see Mike.

00:21:28.580 Yeah.

00:21:29.400 You got to work your way up to it.

00:21:31.020 Yeah.

00:21:32.760 I'm about a three or four hit guy, but I just said, I'm going to smoke as much as you right

00:21:38.280 now, brother.

00:21:40.460 Dude, that weed comes off the top road, brother.

00:21:42.880 Oh, man. 1.00

00:21:43.340 That shit's a highlight. 1.00

00:21:44.360 Yeah, that shit makes you a highlight, dude. 1.00

00:21:46.480 I remember getting so high one night, I was trying to sneak up on a mirror for like probably 1.00

00:21:53.120 two hours.

00:21:56.320 That's good. 0.77

00:21:57.820 And I'll tell you this, dude, I got pretty fucking close, man. 0.89

00:22:02.560 You're sneaking up on the mirror? 0.93

00:22:04.060 Oh, I think if it had been a leap year, I could have done it.

00:22:06.120 I should have brought some Ric Flair drip for you, man.

00:22:08.180 Oh, I'll get some.

00:22:08.900 Okay.

00:22:09.360 I'll get some.

00:22:09.880 I'm glad I got this, man.

00:22:10.640 You brought me this.

00:22:11.260 Okay.

00:22:11.540 I mean, this alone is pretty epic.

00:22:13.780 Yeah.

00:22:14.240 You know, it's great.

00:22:15.680 You are an energy.

00:22:16.460 You are, you are like an original human energy drink.

00:22:19.000 So I am.

00:22:20.080 Yeah.

00:22:20.320 So to have one.

00:22:21.380 Yeah.

00:22:21.900 Makes perfect sense.

00:22:23.360 Have you been in an accident?

00:22:24.800 Have you been damaged up?

00:22:26.560 Check your body.

00:22:27.840 There's something broken.

00:22:28.760 There's something missing.

00:22:29.660 That's the, you're like, whoa, jeepers.

00:22:32.300 No wonder I'm late to work.

00:22:34.260 I don't have a limb.

00:24:11.920 It wasn't just something that I knew would pass.

00:24:13.680 It was something that that was building and gaining momentum inside of me.

00:25:14.580 This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp.

00:25:17.140 You know, one thing, Rick, that I noticed that you did, that you always did really exceptionally,

00:25:20.680 which kept me super entertained, was your ability to play defense actively, right?

00:25:30.360 Like, even if you were being the victim in the fight, you were always, like, asking for

00:25:36.420 mercy.

00:25:37.000 There was always, if you got hit, you always went over your own legs.

00:25:40.640 It was like, it was as much fun to watch you, like, being defeated as it was to watch you

00:25:48.620 winning.

00:25:50.120 And for some reason, sometimes it was almost-

00:25:52.460 I'm better at getting beat.

00:25:53.760 You were good at it.

00:25:55.460 You were really good at it, weren't you?

00:25:57.080 And then I just lie the next day on TV and then people forget about it.

00:26:00.940 That didn't happen to me.

00:26:02.540 When you were begging for mercy, nobody did it.

00:26:05.200 Like, yeah, it was, it was just, there was-

00:26:07.460 Especially with the hair, red, blood flying everywhere.

00:26:10.100 But there was something about it that, because a lot of guys, they would just be getting

00:26:13.920 beat in that moment.

00:26:14.840 Yeah.

00:26:15.140 But you were always actively demanding the attention.

00:26:19.920 Sometimes I wouldn't even know who was hitting you, because I was watching you.

00:26:23.860 And that's really interesting.

00:26:25.280 A lot of times you're watching the beater, not the BT, you know? 0.99

00:26:29.820 Yeah, I could take an ass kicking. 0.99

00:26:31.120 I was really good at that. 0.99

00:26:32.220 How did that energy start, you think?

00:26:34.220 I just have, I've had it my whole life.

00:26:36.380 Brother, I was ADD before ADD was possible.

00:26:38.580 Oh, yeah.

00:26:39.220 I'm still looking out the window in fourth grade.

00:26:42.540 Richard, can we have your attention, please?

00:26:44.400 Social studies 101.

00:26:47.280 I spent 13 years in high school, let me tell you.

00:26:50.000 I still haven't passed English or Latin.

00:26:52.700 There's only four years of it.

00:26:54.640 I was there five.

00:26:56.620 I mean-

00:26:57.340 You had ADD, EFG, dude.

00:26:58.740 I didn't go to 12th grade.

00:27:00.100 I went to 13th grade.

00:27:02.800 And then barely got out.

00:27:05.020 Did you go to prom?

00:27:06.140 Do you remember going, did you go to high school prom?

00:27:07.760 Oh, yeah.

00:27:08.340 Yeah, who was it?

00:27:09.680 Well, here's the funny thing.

00:27:12.040 This is a great story.

00:27:13.180 I've never told you before.

00:27:14.480 So I hitchhiked.

00:27:15.920 My parents were from Minneapolis.

00:27:17.320 Very conservative.

00:27:18.400 I was in private school in Wisconsin.

00:27:21.120 I got in trouble.

00:27:21.860 It was either private school, nothing bad.

00:27:24.960 Yeah, the Hadley Center.

00:27:25.720 Where'd you go?

00:27:26.120 What was it called?

00:27:26.700 I went to Wayland Academy in Beaverdam.

00:27:30.080 Prep school, very expensive.

00:27:31.480 It was either that or a reform school.

00:27:33.180 Mm-hmm.

00:27:33.920 Because I got in some trouble trying to buy liquor underage.

00:27:38.500 Nothing serious, but it was enough to get me in trouble.

00:27:41.240 And then riding my scooter around Lake Calhoun.

00:27:44.380 So I got there.

00:27:46.000 So I made all these friends.

00:27:47.520 And there's no cell phones back in the 60s and all that.

00:27:50.540 So now I have a whole new group of friends.

00:27:52.980 And they're all from wealthy families.

00:27:55.820 And everybody's going to spring break.

00:27:58.240 I said, what spring break?

00:27:59.700 I said, we're all going to Florida.

00:28:01.500 So I went home.

00:28:02.420 And I said to my mom and dad, I said, can I go visit my friend Bruce in Chicago?

00:28:07.620 And they said, yeah, they gave me $200.

00:28:09.880 Took me to the train station.

00:28:11.740 And they drove off.

00:28:13.200 And I walked out of the train station and hitchhacked all the way to Fort Lauderdale.

00:28:17.020 Wow.

00:28:17.420 It was the greatest.

00:28:18.580 I did it two years in a row.

00:28:19.500 So would you go right out to the interstate and put your thumb out?

00:28:22.920 Brother, I'm telling you.

00:28:23.780 I mean, I'm walking through Macon County line, man. 0.99

00:28:26.720 That was some strange shit for a guy from Minneapolis. 0.99

00:28:29.520 Walking through Macon, Georgia, brother. 1.00

00:28:31.700 What the hell?

00:28:32.180 This looked different than Minneapolis.

00:28:34.380 So anyway, then I got picked up by these college girls. 1.00

00:28:38.480 I went right in.

00:28:39.600 So my first night there, I'm in Arby's, right?

00:28:43.240 And with my friend and this chick who is working at Arby's.

00:28:46.480 And she goes, where were you?

00:28:49.060 Oh, God, a Wisconsin leather jacket on and no shirt.

00:28:51.760 You know, like, trying to be cool.

00:28:53.560 And she goes, where'd you go to school?

00:28:56.160 I said, University of Wisconsin.

00:28:57.560 She said, cool.

00:28:58.540 She said, you want to go have drinks afterwards?

00:29:00.660 I said, what time do you get off?

00:29:01.520 She said, 10 o'clock.

00:29:02.980 And so I ended up staying with her and her mom.

00:29:05.140 Wow.

00:29:05.680 On top of my mom.

00:29:06.920 On top of which one?

00:29:08.740 On top of both.

00:29:11.540 But I invited the one.

00:29:13.020 I invited the one to, what was there, 10 days?

00:29:16.960 I mean, look, dude.

00:29:18.560 In 10 days, you got to meet the whole family.

00:29:20.460 Exactly.

00:29:20.780 But I ended up inviting her to a prom, you know, but not even thinking.

00:29:27.340 And so I get a letter from her at school.

00:29:29.980 And she said, my mom is flying me to Madison.

00:29:33.760 Are you going to pick me up and take me to prom?

00:29:35.840 And I had a girlfriend in high school.

00:29:38.720 Boy, that was bad.

00:29:40.640 So I did have to express my hand.

00:29:42.100 I made a mistake.

00:29:42.840 Gwen Worthen was her name.

00:29:47.560 Gwen, where are you now?

00:29:50.640 Gwen Worthen.

00:29:52.880 Forgive me.

00:29:54.460 And so she didn't fly in then?

00:29:57.340 She did fly in, yeah.

00:29:58.340 Oh, she did?

00:29:58.620 And you told your girlfriend you couldn't take her?

00:30:00.140 Yeah.

00:30:00.780 Wow.

00:30:02.360 Yeah.

00:30:03.000 So was it strange?

00:30:04.280 Because I similarly brought a girl to.

00:30:07.720 Well, I didn't really have that kind of relationship in high school.

00:30:10.460 Right.

00:30:10.700 They gave us what they called Saturday night. 1.00

00:30:14.120 This is great shit. 0.99

00:30:15.640 They gave us what's called SOCH, right? 1.00

00:30:18.160 So what is it called?

00:30:19.400 SOCH.

00:30:20.320 SOCH.

00:30:20.840 Ten minutes to go hide behind a tree.

00:30:23.640 Who did?

00:30:23.920 The parents?

00:30:24.800 No, the school did.

00:30:26.520 Oh, really?

00:30:26.940 So they'd have dances and all that.

00:30:28.400 Right.

00:30:28.720 At 10 o'clock, you get ten minutes to go hide behind a tree.

00:30:31.920 Yeah.

00:30:32.540 It was a co-ed school.

00:30:33.820 Back to the dormitories.

00:30:35.100 The dormitories weren't co-ed.

00:30:36.520 Right. 0.99

00:30:36.780 But we all had binoculars and shit, you know, and telescope. 0.99

00:30:39.500 Looking at the chick. 0.99

00:30:40.960 You had a lot of intel.

00:30:41.660 Well, he had a hard time.

00:30:42.920 He had the intel.

00:30:44.680 Like, hell.

00:30:47.000 But not killers.

00:30:48.180 And Polaroids were available back then.

00:30:49.840 Yeah, brother.

00:30:51.880 So.

00:30:53.420 So they gave you ten minutes after the prom and after the dance ended?

00:30:57.060 After every Saturday night, they called it SOCH.

00:31:00.060 Okay.

00:31:00.600 You guys can have ten minutes.

00:31:02.380 Which one of the night is going to be in a tree.

00:31:03.780 What are you going to get in ten minutes?

00:31:04.880 Right.

00:31:05.060 I mean, come on.

00:31:05.720 Yeah.

00:31:06.220 But you could try, right?

00:31:07.300 I know I did.

00:31:08.140 And just as I got that first hook I called, here goes the whistle.

00:31:14.880 Whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:31:17.620 It's like a military drill.

00:31:20.180 Everybody runs.

00:31:20.860 You have ten seconds to return it over. 1.00

00:31:23.500 Well, turn the goddamn dogs loose. 1.00

00:31:26.740 And he can just unhook the other side. 1.00

00:31:28.460 Just let me just be one.

00:31:30.480 Oh, it's so hard to touch a tit with a St. Bernard bite.

00:31:33.320 Oh, my God.

00:31:34.200 Just tune in Tokyo, brother.

00:31:36.140 Just try.

00:31:36.760 Yeah, you're trying to get that bra on, man?

00:31:39.700 Next time you just not wear a bra or just wear a big sweater, nobody will know.

00:31:46.220 God, that was fun.

00:31:47.500 So you were unsuccessful with staying committed in a relationship from the beginning.

00:31:52.840 Oh, yeah.

00:31:53.480 I've had problems with relationships.

00:31:55.700 I've been married four times.

00:31:56.700 Wow.

00:31:57.560 But a lot of that is in respect to my travel.

00:32:01.240 You know, you being a fan, you probably don't realize.

00:32:04.300 I wrestled an average of 400 days a year, 400 times.

00:32:09.860 Yeah.

00:32:10.160 Because twice on Saturday, twice on Sunday for 10 years.

00:32:14.340 My accountant would say, how can you wrestle 400?

00:32:16.100 Don't, Rick, I know you graduated, but it's only 365 days.

00:32:19.840 Right.

00:32:20.100 I said, I know, but I wrestled twice on Saturday, twice on Sunday.

00:32:23.660 Man.

00:32:24.320 I did that for 10 years.

00:32:25.460 You cannot, I'm never home.

00:32:27.380 How do you stay married?

00:32:28.760 Some women just can't live like that. 1.00

00:32:30.320 And I don't blame them.

00:32:31.640 Yeah.

00:32:32.120 Of course not.

00:32:32.920 Yeah.

00:32:33.060 My first wife just said, this is cool, and I have two kids by her.

00:32:37.560 We get along to the other day.

00:32:38.520 We never had an argument.

00:32:39.420 She just said, this is not what I signed up for.

00:32:42.460 Yeah.

00:32:42.740 I said, I'll buy you a bigger house. 0.84

00:32:43.920 She said, I don't care.

00:32:45.420 I've been spending my life alone.

00:32:47.640 Because once you get on the road and you're successful, as you know,

00:32:52.380 you're traveling.

00:32:53.060 Yeah, once it gets busy, it gets busy.

00:32:53.880 Yeah, it's fun.

00:32:55.380 Yeah.

00:32:55.660 Yeah, you know, and why go home?

00:32:57.700 If you have a day off and you're like in Los Angeles, you have one day off.

00:33:01.220 Are you going to go all the way back to Toronto, Carolina, or are you going to

00:33:03.820 stay in L.A.?

00:33:04.980 You're going to stay in L.A. and start a new family.

00:33:06.600 In New York, I mean, yeah.

00:33:07.760 I mean, you find your old family.

00:33:11.140 How many guys do you feel like had kind of illegitimate children out there?

00:33:16.200 Oh, I don't know.

00:33:17.300 Do you think it started to happen?

00:33:19.160 I think I'm sure it has happened.

00:33:21.700 But, I mean, that happens with any traveling.

00:33:26.920 People that travel, it's going to happen.

00:33:29.180 Because I've never experienced that myself.

00:33:32.840 But, you know, some of these girls, in the old days, they wanted to get pregnant. 0.97

00:33:37.200 Oh, yeah.

00:33:37.580 If you had money, they wanted to get pregnant. 1.00

00:33:39.620 And guess what?

00:33:40.620 Hello.

00:33:41.820 You know, that's why all this stuff is so sophisticated now with DNA and all that.

00:33:46.880 Oh.

00:33:47.900 That stuff wasn't around back when I was your age and that.

00:33:51.860 Yeah, you had to hold the baby up next to the man.

00:33:54.280 Yeah.

00:33:55.080 It's crazy.

00:33:56.820 But, no, I never experienced that.

00:33:58.080 I don't know.

00:33:58.680 But I think, you know, falling back, that kids can't all fall back on wrestlers.

00:34:04.620 Right.

00:34:05.180 There's two partners.

00:34:06.200 Well, yeah.

00:34:07.140 Well, it's happened.

00:34:08.400 I mean, the football players that travel, the basketball players that travel, baseball players

00:34:12.420 are never home.

00:34:13.180 I mean, yeah, pilots and flight attendants.

00:34:15.420 Come on.

00:34:15.900 Don't break.

00:34:16.820 They're just, yeah.

00:34:17.620 I mean, they just have.

00:34:18.300 In the old days, they were the most fun.

00:34:21.340 The flight attendants were the most fun. 0.98

00:34:22.560 I'm like, can we have tickets to the match this night?

00:34:25.880 Yes.

00:34:26.800 What do I tell you to say that?

00:34:28.380 Oh, okay.

00:34:29.720 I'm not supposed to tell you, but that.

00:34:34.440 Yeah, flight attendants, bro.

00:34:35.760 And flight attendants used to be hot. 0.99

00:34:37.860 Yeah.

00:34:38.100 Oh, yeah.

00:34:38.660 Were they ever.

00:34:39.660 They still are some of them, but it's just an attitude thing now.

00:34:43.800 Jesus.

00:34:43.980 But some of them now, they're hot, but then they're like men.

00:34:50.260 Well, it's just a different time.

00:34:51.200 Or, you know, they're just kind of like, you think it's a woman, and then they turn them 1.00

00:34:54.720 and they say, you know, and they're like, I'm a man, you know, and you're like, oh, dang.

00:35:00.020 I haven't experienced that, but I've experienced it where they just don't want to do any more

00:35:05.000 than they have to.

00:35:05.960 Yeah.

00:35:06.260 In the old days, I think that they were trained.

00:35:08.420 It would go above and beyond for the company.

00:35:09.660 Above and beyond, because, but normal.

00:35:13.780 Yeah.

00:35:13.960 Does that make sense?

00:35:14.660 Yeah.

00:35:14.960 Things have changed a lot with that, and, you know, you just, you can't, you can't, you

00:35:20.280 got to be very careful what you say to a woman now.

00:35:22.760 Oh, yeah.

00:35:23.180 Yeah.

00:35:23.500 I mean.

00:35:23.960 Oh, yeah, you couldn't exist nowadays.

00:35:25.620 No, I mean, no, I'm kidding.

00:35:26.740 God.

00:35:27.980 I used to walk around all the flight attendants doing the sweet and low joke, you know.

00:35:32.000 I'll show it to you later on.

00:35:33.680 You know what sugar is different between sugar and sweet and low?

00:35:36.260 Uh-uh.

00:35:36.700 I'll show her later on.

00:35:42.560 No, you couldn't, you couldn't never do that with a flight attendants now.

00:35:45.780 Good Lord.

00:35:46.660 But did women get offended back then by it, or they kind of liked flirting, or what was

00:35:50.720 it like?

00:35:51.100 Oh, they liked to flirt.

00:35:51.400 Are you kidding?

00:35:52.180 Yeah.

00:35:52.400 God.

00:35:53.700 I mean, but, but, but, you know, now it's like any kind of travel today.

00:35:59.420 I, I mean, I dread, that's why I fly private a lot.

00:36:03.240 If I, if I can, if I, if it's within, if it's practical.

00:36:07.340 Yeah.

00:36:07.580 Understood.

00:36:08.580 Um, because people in general, they put computers on, put earplugs on.

00:36:13.280 You got no one to talk to.

00:36:14.920 People don't drink on, in the old days, people would drink on the planes.

00:36:18.000 Oh, yeah.

00:36:18.480 Talk to each other and walk around, and now everything is such a stringent, I mean, everything

00:36:24.640 is a rule.

00:36:25.700 Yes.

00:36:26.240 You know, remember the old, we used to sit in the old cabins on the higher end, the 747s,

00:36:32.200 tell stories, laugh, and the big trays of food.

00:36:35.520 I mean, that, all that stuff on, on our domestic airlines that are gone.

00:36:39.900 Yeah.

00:36:40.320 Now the foreign airlines still let that stuff go on.

00:36:43.120 Oh, yeah.

00:36:43.600 But we've, we've shut down everything.

00:36:45.520 Singapore Airlines, you would never get off the plane.

00:36:48.660 Yeah.

00:36:48.960 You want to stay on?

00:36:49.340 No, you don't.

00:36:49.700 You would never.

00:36:50.220 You can get a massage.

00:36:51.900 Oh, they'll polish your feet?

00:36:52.640 Yeah, yeah, yeah, everything.

00:36:53.700 They had somebody come out and polish my feet on there. 0.79

00:36:55.540 Did they?

00:36:55.860 Yeah.

00:36:56.100 I never, I didn't even know they needed polish.

00:36:57.580 Yeah, yeah.

00:36:57.880 Anything you want.

00:36:58.940 They'll do it all, dude.

00:37:00.040 Yeah. 1.00

00:37:00.340 They'll fucking cut your, I mean, they'll cut the hair on the back of your legs. 0.99

00:37:03.020 Yeah, I mean, I mean, but on, ongoing, uh, Dom Perignon, I mean, they just, they 0.99

00:37:08.960 never stopped serving you.

00:37:10.180 Yeah.

00:37:10.960 It's great.

00:37:11.320 It does, but domestically, it's just gotten so conservative and it's just different.

00:37:16.640 Everything is a rule.

00:37:17.480 That's a great statement.

00:37:18.300 Everything's a rule now.

00:37:19.100 Yeah.

00:37:19.240 It's like, don't attack the pilots.

00:37:21.320 Don't smoke in the bathroom.

00:37:22.660 Well, I understand that, but I mean, it's just, you know, I understand the pilot thing,

00:37:27.500 but it's like, you know, if you're, I'll give you an example.

00:37:30.920 So I fly, I've got, like, I've got 4 million miles with, uh, Delta and I had, you add up

00:37:38.740 all my miles over the years.

00:37:40.240 You have 70 million, I'm sure.

00:37:42.000 No, I probably have had 15 million miles between Northwest, which went bankrupt, Eastern

00:37:47.900 went bankrupt.

00:37:48.720 U.S.

00:37:49.580 Air.

00:37:50.660 Well, I mean, they've all, you know, gone upside down.

00:37:54.940 Yeah.

00:37:55.420 American, United.

00:37:56.780 Well, they're, they're still going.

00:37:58.320 And Delta, of course, is my favorite choice.

00:38:00.220 I like Delta too.

00:38:01.140 Yeah.

00:38:02.080 But, um, we're used to be able to socialize and all that.

00:38:05.160 Now, you know, when the cap, like when the thing goes on and they go, here's what makes

00:38:10.580 me mad.

00:38:11.040 And I'm sure you've felt it.

00:38:12.700 You know, when the captain goes, okay, ladies and gentlemen, we're getting ready to approach.

00:38:16.980 That means you're right at 10,000 feet.

00:38:19.960 I know this for a fact.

00:38:22.260 You're still 45 to 50 minutes from touching down to Plains of 70.

00:38:29.400 Ma'am, can I have a cup of coffee?

00:38:30.460 No, we have, uh, we've closed the golly.

00:38:32.720 Yeah.

00:38:33.220 Ma'am, the flight, we're not going to land for 50 minutes.

00:38:35.620 Oh, that's, I'm sorry.

00:38:37.260 I said, ma'am, I said, um, can I have a boat beer?

00:38:40.240 She said, no, we've closed it up.

00:38:41.860 I said, is that your rule or the flight rules?

00:38:44.280 I said, are you, I mean, I've had women. 0.88

00:38:46.580 I'm like, are you harassing me?

00:38:48.960 I said, no, I was asking you for a beer.

00:38:51.520 Excuse me.

00:38:52.240 You know, or they'll go, oh yeah, please.

00:38:55.000 Mr. Fleur, what would you like?

00:38:56.320 Yeah.

00:38:56.520 Can I have a picture?

00:38:57.800 Can we do a sign something for my son?

00:38:59.640 It's A or B.

00:39:00.640 Yeah.

00:39:01.320 And some of, and I would say it's like 80, 60, 40, good.

00:39:06.480 But the 40 can just, you know, and then, and then like I had that surgery, right?

00:39:12.460 That bag broke a couple of times on their plane.

00:39:15.920 Yeah.

00:39:16.180 And it smells bad, right?

00:39:17.680 I had to stay in three hours in the bathroom.

00:39:21.240 Woman's knocking.

00:39:22.000 What are you doing?

00:39:22.800 Oh, you really don't want me to know, but don't knock in the door again.

00:39:26.080 I mean, you can't.

00:39:28.060 Yeah.

00:39:28.280 It's horrible.

00:39:29.120 Wow.

00:39:29.620 Yeah.

00:39:29.740 It's a, it's a, it's a, it's your intestine.

00:39:32.840 It's so it's attached to your intestine.

00:39:34.460 So it's dookie.

00:39:35.960 Yeah.

00:39:36.460 Yeah.

00:39:36.820 It's terrible.

00:39:38.220 It's, it's terrible. 1.00

00:39:39.960 Damn. 1.00

00:39:40.680 Yeah. 0.99

00:39:40.840 I would never wish that on anybody ever.

00:39:42.920 Yeah. 0.99

00:39:43.360 I mean, I've stepped in shit before and that's, that's, if I was bringing my own shit outside 0.99

00:39:48.040 of me, I would be bummed out. 1.00

00:39:49.820 My wife actually had to learn how to clean it. 1.00

00:39:53.340 Why?

00:39:53.960 We, I, we hired full-time help, right?

00:39:56.140 Yeah.

00:39:56.440 But it, it got me where like on the weekend, it sends out like a weekend warrior.

00:40:02.260 It's like, you know, like being in a rest home though.

00:40:04.720 Regular staff is gone and the people working on the weekends, I don't want to be there

00:40:08.860 anyway.

00:40:09.180 Their second strength, third strength.

00:40:10.640 Yeah.

00:40:11.020 Yeah.

00:40:11.140 You're talking.

00:40:11.840 Yeah.

00:40:12.020 So then she finally went to a stoma class and learned how to do it herself.

00:40:16.160 But it's nasty, man.

00:40:17.580 Yeah.

00:40:18.320 And, and you have to rewatch what you eat because different things trigger it.

00:40:21.960 Does that make sense?

00:40:22.740 Mm-hmm.

00:40:23.460 Was it kind of cool to eat some things and see them come out in the bag?

00:40:26.960 I know what the bag, the bag wasn't clear.

00:40:29.220 Oh, it wasn't?

00:40:30.460 They didn't make clear bags. 0.99

00:40:32.200 Damn, you got to get that clear one on. 0.99

00:40:34.300 I was like, that'd be crazy. 0.99

00:40:36.120 I'm laughing right now.

00:40:37.500 Wasn't funny then.

00:40:39.460 Oh.

00:40:39.680 Yeah, no, it's crazy.

00:40:40.580 My sister was born with a rare liver disease and so she needed a transplant her whole lives

00:40:45.780 when we were kids.

00:40:47.020 And so she had to have a bag a lot.

00:40:49.400 And so there was always, we were always dealing with bile or some type of thing around the house,

00:40:54.900 you know?

00:40:55.700 It's terrible.

00:40:56.280 I feel that I'm, I feel bad at making light of it.

00:40:59.400 No, we're joking.

00:41:00.400 No, I was just saying some of the things that you go through with that condition,

00:41:04.780 it's, and it takes really patient people.

00:41:08.960 Does that make sense?

00:41:09.720 Oh, yeah.

00:41:10.240 That really care for you, that to be around you.

00:41:13.260 Well, nurses, that's one thing. 1.00

00:41:14.280 I would love to marry a nurse, I think, one day because this, the ability to have that

00:41:20.140 job is really a God gift, I think.

00:41:23.620 Let me tell you, this, I had, right after this, right, I had to have four heart surgeries

00:41:30.720 in seven weeks. 0.99

00:41:33.680 Damn. 0.99

00:41:34.180 Okay? 0.99

00:41:34.740 But by the time, by the second two, they were walking me in,

00:41:40.080 into the same room and the same nurses, and the girl brought a, what do you call those 1.00

00:41:49.100 things, a player, she was playing my space odyssey.

00:41:53.540 Yeah, my entrance music, yeah, and she goes, she goes to me, I swear to God, you couldn't 0.91

00:42:00.620 make it up, right, so they're putting me down and covering me up, and she put a washcloth 0.55

00:42:07.400 on top of my groin, and she said, I won't let Buddy C. Space Mountain look like this.

00:42:15.700 The next day I know I'm asleep.

00:42:18.760 Wow, that's awesome, man.

00:42:20.820 The cold cloth coverman.

00:42:25.820 Who says that to a patient?

00:42:28.500 She said, we don't want to see Space Mountain looking like this.

00:42:31.400 No, we won't let anybody see Space Mountain.

00:42:34.360 I hope she meant the other nurses.

00:42:39.920 These days, man, you don't know who's trying to look.

00:42:42.260 Yeah, oh my God.

00:42:43.940 Wow.

00:42:44.460 Or take a picture of social media. 1.00

00:42:46.960 Rick Blair, he ain't all that shit. 1.00

00:42:48.820 Look at this little diggling. 1.00

00:42:54.780 Who's he kidding?

00:42:57.360 Yeah, you don't want to, yeah, that would be the worst, man. 1.00

00:43:00.780 Oh, no shit. 1.00

00:43:01.800 Oh. 0.99

00:43:02.780 Yeah, when I was getting my second best activity, the first one didn't work.

00:43:06.800 I told the grocer, wait for me, and I said, dude, you guys signed the release?

00:43:10.180 And they go, what a release. 1.00

00:43:13.340 This release is such, you're not going to tell a buddy how small my dick is. 1.00

00:43:18.020 They all started laughing. 0.99

00:43:21.880 I go, she goes, we don't do that here.

00:43:25.680 I said, ma'am, I'm just kidding.

00:43:28.100 I'm getting ready going, have you guys cut my nuts again?

00:43:31.420 I'm just kidding. 0.99

00:43:31.940 Trying to find some fucking humor in the moment. 0.99

00:43:34.060 Yeah, like, gee, first lady, you're about to saw into my nutsack. 1.00

00:43:39.520 Let us have a chuckle.

00:43:43.440 We don't sign releases.

00:43:44.880 I'm just kidding, please. 1.00

00:43:47.380 How small my dick is. 1.00

00:43:49.880 Dude, that's great. 1.00

00:43:50.420 I said penis. 1.00

00:43:51.160 I didn't say that. 1.00

00:43:51.480 Oh, yeah, good. 1.00

00:43:52.180 Penis. 1.00

00:43:52.620 Yeah, some people want it. 1.00

00:43:53.400 Might as well say it.

00:43:54.540 Yeah.

00:43:55.100 Girls use that word more than guys do. 0.88

00:43:57.460 Now it's different, man.

00:43:58.640 Yeah, it is.

00:43:58.880 Oh, girls will send messages. 1.00

00:44:00.840 Girls will be like, come and fuck me, you creep. 1.00

00:44:03.300 Yeah. 1.00

00:44:03.620 I'm like, Jesus.

00:44:04.560 Well, all right.

00:44:05.680 I haven't got one of those lately.

00:44:07.000 I'll give you my number of best.

00:44:15.480 What state had the best women, do you think? 1.00

00:44:20.460 Florida.

00:44:22.820 Here or? 0.98

00:44:24.480 Because Florida has a lot of criminals built into it. 0.98

00:44:26.880 There's something about that pirate. 0.84

00:44:28.320 Because remember, Pirate started this place.

00:44:30.740 There's Spanish.

00:44:32.100 People can dance.

00:44:33.140 They can hide treasure.

00:44:34.380 Yeah, it's a great place to live.

00:44:36.620 You know, the difference between Miami and Tampa is like night and day.

00:44:40.160 Yeah.

00:44:41.440 Tampa just is great.

00:44:43.680 But Texas, beautiful women there. 1.00

00:44:45.380 Oh, yeah.

00:44:45.980 There's beautiful women everywhere. 1.00

00:44:47.000 But it just seems like there's an abundance of them in Tampa.

00:44:52.060 Plus, you have all the colleges here.

00:44:53.940 You've got Tampa University.

00:44:56.080 Then you have South Florida.

00:44:57.120 Florida, UCF, where she went.

00:44:59.740 I mean, and then you've got Florida, Florida State.

00:45:02.640 I mean, there's a bar over here called AMSO that during the football season, when the alumni and all the – it's insanity.

00:45:10.120 What's it called?

00:45:10.940 It's American Social. 0.51

00:45:12.280 Okay, AMSO.

00:45:12.980 Yeah, and they – it's over here on the water, you know, with the yachts outside and everything.

00:45:18.920 And I would say it's probably – probably 14,000 or 15,000 square feet.

00:45:26.180 It's big.

00:45:26.800 Yeah.

00:45:27.060 And they can house it.

00:45:28.220 But, man, for these – they have, like, 30 TVs for these college games and that river in town.

00:45:33.320 It's a vibe, huh?

00:45:34.060 It's a vibe and a half.

00:45:35.700 And there are women everywhere. 1.00

00:45:37.660 God.

00:45:38.560 God, I wish I was 35 just one day.

00:45:42.120 What would you do, you think?

00:45:43.240 Oh, I thought about that a lot.

00:45:46.300 I don't know, man.

00:45:48.180 But just give me an idea.

00:45:49.020 35 on a Saturday in American Social, a lot could do a lot of damage.

00:45:57.060 30 even more.

00:46:00.420 That five years, huh?

00:46:05.400 Who – did you guys – after the matches, was there, like, group shower?

00:46:09.280 How did it all – was there, like, a big group shower?

00:46:11.680 Oh, what, a big group shower?

00:46:13.600 Like, for the – like, did you guys – was it, like, a football team that after the night, everybody – was there, like, a big –

00:46:19.200 No, the guys shower, I mean –

00:46:20.640 Just in and out.

00:46:21.140 They get their match and they're gone.

00:46:22.320 Yeah.

00:46:22.720 Yeah.

00:46:23.780 And when you guys used to drive – I mean, one thing that's always fascinating about wrestlers, I'm friends with The Miz, right?

00:46:28.200 He's a wrestler.

00:46:28.820 Oh, yeah.

00:46:29.940 He's a great kid.

00:46:30.960 He is a great guy.

00:46:31.680 How do you know him?

00:46:32.480 He's a great guy.

00:46:33.040 We've known each other for almost 15 years now.

00:46:34.980 Oh, he's a great kid, man.

00:46:36.100 Yeah.

00:46:36.740 He's a guy that really cares for the business, man. 0.99

00:46:39.460 And they shit on him when he started. 0.99

00:46:41.100 They gave him a tough time, man. 1.00

00:46:42.680 They gave him a tough time. 1.00

00:46:43.760 That's bullshit. 1.00

00:46:44.640 And that, you know, that's – the guy's a bully. 1.00

00:46:47.780 I got no time for that. 0.62

00:46:49.060 Yeah.

00:46:49.240 But he's a wonderful kid.

00:46:50.740 Yeah.

00:46:50.920 And he's made the most of it.

00:46:52.720 And I'm going to tell you the truth.

00:46:55.500 He – whatever they hand him, he makes work.

00:46:59.200 He did it.

00:46:59.660 Yep.

00:47:00.120 That's a good point, huh?

00:47:00.960 It's a gift.

00:47:01.660 Whatever they hand him, he goes, he doesn't complain.

00:47:05.960 If he does, I'm not aware of it.

00:47:07.800 And so damn respectful.

00:47:09.080 He's a great kid.

00:47:10.000 Yeah.

00:47:10.200 Yeah, I met him years ago with his dad.

00:47:12.660 He was always a hard worker.

00:47:14.220 Yeah.

00:47:14.540 And just extremely charismatic.

00:47:16.540 He always had that energy that was – he always had this charisma that was a little bit beyond him as a person.

00:47:22.740 He's a Cleveland guy.

00:47:23.620 Yeah.

00:47:23.760 So is Dolph Ziggler.

00:47:25.420 Oh, is Dolph?

00:47:26.160 Yeah.

00:47:26.920 Yeah, Dolph's a comedian too, you know, right?

00:47:28.640 Yeah.

00:47:29.020 I know that he's done some comedy.

00:47:30.640 He and I communicate sometimes on social media.

00:47:32.400 Yeah, yeah.

00:47:32.960 But –

00:47:33.540 He's a great kid.

00:47:34.200 The Miz and I have been friends for a long time and I've always admired his ability to roll with the punches.

00:47:40.400 What was it like whenever you – did your storyline ever get like where you were like – I know you had like those Bischoff years where you didn't love it and –

00:47:50.020 He did.

00:47:50.640 Yeah.

00:47:52.460 Worse.

00:47:52.860 It must have been hard, huh?

00:47:55.900 Well, I was – you know, out of sight, out of mind.

00:47:59.180 It didn't work.

00:48:00.880 He kept trying to lose me.

00:48:02.480 Like what do you mean out of sight, out of mind?

00:48:04.460 I mean he thought if he could take me off TV and bury me that – he forgot where I'd been for 20 years, 25 years before I met him.

00:48:14.240 Yeah.

00:48:15.000 You don't lose 25 years of being the man.

00:48:17.280 Mm-mm. 1.00

00:48:18.420 And then all of a sudden have some good shit try and put you in the back of the pack. 1.00

00:48:23.260 Yeah. 0.99

00:48:24.480 Yeah, I don't even think – you couldn't either –

00:48:26.120 Yeah, he beat my brains out though.

00:48:28.360 That was a big self-confidence, a big time loss of self-confidence period in my life.

00:48:37.060 Yeah.

00:48:38.260 Yeah.

00:48:39.320 I guess you don't have as much control over how – not relevant you stay, but how much –

00:48:47.280 attention they give you.

00:48:48.940 I mean it's kind of interesting the way you guys' business is set up, right?

00:48:52.080 It's like you're the performer, you're the athlete, you're the competitor, but then there's also this business side that kind of gets to –

00:49:01.300 Politics.

00:49:01.960 Right. 0.99

00:49:03.600 Ass kissing. 0.99

00:49:04.580 Was it like that early on? 0.99

00:49:05.920 Did it change?

00:49:06.680 No.

00:49:06.700 It wasn't like that early on.

00:49:07.840 No.

00:49:08.180 When I got in the business, you were either good or you were bad.

00:49:12.280 And if you were bad and they don't like you, they beat you up.

00:49:15.220 Really?

00:49:15.640 Right?

00:49:15.920 Beat you up right in the ring. 1.00

00:49:17.420 Damn. 1.00

00:49:17.820 If they could. 1.00

00:49:18.540 Yeah.

00:49:19.480 Yeah.

00:49:20.160 Now it's all political.

00:49:21.740 It's off.

00:49:22.360 Jesus.

00:49:23.120 It's a business more.

00:49:24.180 Yeah.

00:49:24.440 Usually when you enjoyed it the most, when I enjoyed it the most is when you were there because you were that much better than the next guy or the woman. 0.95

00:49:37.740 Now it's – you can be better than anybody, but it's all – it's sad.

00:49:47.240 But you either accept it or you don't be part of it.

00:49:52.880 And I'd rather be part of it and accept it and I don't talk about it, then I'm not talking about any individuals.

00:49:59.620 I'm just addressing the reality of our business now.

00:50:02.940 I mean, it's very political.

00:50:05.700 Yeah.

00:50:06.020 Where football and all that, it's political, but you're not going to put Aaron Rodgers down.

00:50:11.520 You're not going to put down X, Y, Z, whatever, use Aaron as an example.

00:50:16.620 Yeah.

00:50:16.840 Because he says something smart.

00:50:19.380 Yeah.

00:50:19.760 You're going to play to win.

00:50:21.440 Right.

00:50:21.940 And if somebody says something smart, it's almost – with you guys, it almost would behoove them to use that as the –

00:50:30.100 Well, yeah, but they have these writers that come in that have never wrestled.

00:50:34.640 Writers are unreal.

00:50:35.360 I mean, they come and they go.

00:50:37.260 They turn over.

00:50:38.180 And how do you ever get to learn the business? 0.79

00:50:39.960 Because if it took me 12 years, let's say I started in 72, I didn't figure the shit out really until 83. 0.69

00:50:49.600 So how long is that? 0.88

00:50:50.920 10 years?

00:50:51.600 Nine years?

00:50:52.200 Yeah.

00:50:52.680 Yeah.

00:50:53.080 It took me nine years to figure it out.

00:50:55.000 And every time I thought I had it, something else popped up.

00:51:00.020 Yeah.

00:51:00.800 But then once I got it, I didn't let it go.

00:51:03.740 But then people want to take it from me.

00:51:05.580 I'm always too old about it.

00:51:07.040 I'm not ready.

00:51:08.340 Doesn't look the same.

00:51:09.380 But 80s heels don't drive hurt at all. 1.00

00:51:13.720 And here I'm sitting here with you today.

00:51:16.140 Where are they?

00:51:16.880 Yeah, I don't know.

00:51:17.640 They're driving between towns.

00:51:19.160 Yeah.

00:51:20.880 Some of them buses.

00:51:22.340 Some of them running cars.

00:51:23.600 Yeah.

00:51:25.480 What was it like when you guys would hit the road?

00:51:27.640 Was that a lot of fun?

00:51:28.540 Did you guys enjoy it?

00:51:29.000 3,000 miles a week, man.

00:51:31.400 Minimum.

00:51:32.140 Yeah, it was fun.

00:51:32.820 And it was mostly the southeast you guys were in, huh?

00:51:34.880 Well, I was in Charlotte.

00:51:36.300 I'm probably the only wrestler alive.

00:51:37.780 Even Hulk had to move out of Florida.

00:51:41.080 He moved to Stanford for a while.

00:51:42.800 He'll tell you that.

00:51:43.560 But Hulk and I are probably only two guys that during the course of our career and our heyday that never left home.

00:51:53.580 I never left Charlotte.

00:51:54.380 They wanted me to go to Atlanta.

00:51:56.860 They wanted me to go to Florida.

00:51:59.260 I mean, I wish I had come down here only because of the state tax issue.

00:52:04.720 Tax savings, yeah.

00:52:05.400 But once I found it, when I was there, when I got to Charlotte, it was me and Richard Petty.

00:52:11.180 The highest building was 10 stories.

00:52:13.720 Brown Bay.

00:52:14.880 I mean, I've seen that town grow.

00:52:16.760 And why would I leave that to come anywhere, right?

00:52:19.500 Yeah, especially if it's your home.

00:52:21.060 Yeah.

00:52:21.600 If it's a city, you feel like that's your home.

00:52:23.220 Well, I moved there when I was 23, and I grew with the city.

00:52:26.600 Yeah.

00:52:27.480 Did all your wives, you met them all in Charlotte?

00:52:30.420 Yeah.

00:52:31.260 Wow.

00:52:31.840 No.

00:52:32.540 My first wife I met in Minneapolis.

00:52:34.100 She's from Minneapolis.

00:52:35.060 Oh, yeah.

00:52:35.920 She lives in Charlotte now because of my grandchildren.

00:52:39.820 Yeah.

00:52:40.900 Never had a crossword, just great story.

00:52:45.180 So we used to stay at the Raleigh Hilton, and there was a bar called the Hilton Underground, right? 0.96

00:52:50.820 So this guy walked up to me and says, God damn, I was talking about 10 girls that was packed. 0.76

00:52:55.780 Because I used to always say on TV, I used to go, whatever hotel we were going to be in, 0.99

00:53:02.920 I would say, 18 to 28, no boyfriends, no husbands.

00:53:06.920 Yeah.

00:53:07.960 Come and see the nature boy.

00:53:09.320 I just would tell them where we were.

00:53:13.260 Yeah, what did your wife think of that? 1.00

00:53:15.160 Well, same thing as you thought about me not wearing them a wedding ring.

00:53:18.100 Why are you wearing a wedding ring?

00:53:18.860 I said, God, that's not my gimme, honey, please.

00:53:21.280 I said, why are you telling them where we were staying at?

00:53:24.640 I said, to give us a deal in the hotel room.

00:53:26.540 What do you think?

00:53:27.300 I mean, do you actually think anybody shows up?

00:53:30.360 Boring.

00:53:31.540 Of course, the place is packed.

00:53:34.280 Meanwhile, yeah.

00:53:35.440 This guy goes to me, can the guy get laid here?

00:53:40.160 I said, can the guy get laid, brother?

00:53:42.140 I'll get you laid out here in the staircase.

00:53:45.280 Let me buy you a drink.

00:53:46.740 He was my wife's private eye.

00:53:48.280 I introduced him to all the guys.

00:53:54.280 Hey, this guy, the cool guy.

00:53:58.100 Oh, my God.

00:53:59.280 I don't know if I got him laid or not.

00:54:02.720 Wow.

00:54:03.460 Wow.

00:54:04.360 And listen, I was so good, I used to get the midget wrestling laid. 1.00

00:54:07.320 That's hard.

00:54:08.160 That's hard.

00:54:08.880 Really?

00:54:09.520 Cowboy laying.

00:54:10.740 Give me laid, give me laid, give me laid. 1.00

00:54:12.400 I said, you little sumbitch, it's hard to get you laid. 0.99

00:54:15.180 Only a few women are going to do that. 1.00

00:54:18.280 Yeah, what kind of women would you usually go for that little fella? 1.00

00:54:21.780 I can call one right now.

00:54:24.200 I can call one.

00:54:27.560 She runs the Speedway Club in Charlotte now.

00:54:31.500 Oh, Lord.

00:54:33.100 Give me laid. 1.00

00:54:35.620 The officer called me and said, the midget's turned down.

00:54:38.600 I said, who are laying?

00:54:39.600 They're laying in old Tokyo.

00:54:40.740 They want to ride with you.

00:54:41.860 It's like, be my El Dorado.

00:54:43.640 So we're driving on the road, like, give me your laid, give me laid, give me laid. 0.56

00:54:47.000 Give me your laid, give me laid. 0.99

00:54:52.100 Man.

00:54:52.860 You like hooking your buddies up?

00:54:55.300 Hell yeah.

00:54:56.220 Yeah.

00:54:57.140 It was hard getting that.

00:54:58.280 Tokyo was impossible to get laid.

00:55:00.360 Really?

00:55:00.960 Yeah.

00:55:02.060 So in Tokyo, it was hard to get a little person laid?

00:55:04.960 Yeah.

00:55:05.680 But Cowboy Lang had a pretty good hang on him, so I could sell that to the girl. 0.73

00:55:10.080 Yeah, that wand on him up.

00:55:11.040 Oh, my God, boy.

00:55:13.040 I'd hate that.

00:55:13.660 I mean, it would be so hard. 0.99

00:55:14.600 I mean, that would be just a, you know, that's like a damn kettlebell. 0.99

00:55:22.660 Something like that. 1.00

00:55:25.020 I mean, if you even have half a pound of wiener on a little person, that's fucking. 0.99

00:55:30.260 Yeah. 0.99

00:55:30.620 It looks a lot bigger than a little guy.

00:55:32.360 Oh, yeah, dude.

00:55:35.480 And especially if you put the right makeup on the sides of it, dude.

00:55:38.460 Because I'll put makeup on mine.

00:55:40.220 I'll make it look, you know.

00:55:42.280 You want the lights hit it the right way, bro.

00:55:44.480 Yeah, you go take it.

00:55:45.220 Lighting's everything.

00:55:52.200 When was the first time you got laid?

00:55:53.960 Do you remember it?

00:55:55.260 15.

00:55:56.180 Wow.

00:55:57.080 Yeah.

00:55:57.400 It was 14, I mean, 14 or 15.

00:56:01.800 I had just got my WSI and I was a.

00:56:05.280 What is a WSI?

00:56:06.340 Water safety instructor.

00:56:08.000 Probably for a lifeguard at a, at a, I got, I got my lifeguard and thing.

00:56:14.260 I must.

00:56:16.440 I think I just turned 15.

00:56:17.860 So, um, I got my WSI so I could be a lifeguard at the, my parents lived in the colony apartments 1.00

00:56:24.380 while they were waiting for a new home to be built for two years.

00:56:27.680 So I, this summertime job, I clean the pool, lifeguard, go swimming instructions, talk to

00:56:34.120 the mothers.

00:56:34.900 Yeah.

00:56:35.840 Yeah.

00:56:36.820 God, boy.

00:56:37.980 Yeah.

00:56:39.300 The lonely mothers with their husbands on the road.

00:56:42.200 You were, you were working both sides of the net then, man.

00:56:47.200 Yeah.

00:56:47.820 Yeah.

00:56:48.620 Here you go.

00:56:49.360 And you met a girl.

00:56:50.360 You did a crawl.

00:56:52.700 Mama.

00:56:54.380 Don't let your babies grow up to be a little nature boy.

00:57:00.200 I want to let you know that, uh, Gray Block Pizza, you know, they, uh, were the first sponsor

00:57:05.500 of this podcast and, um, the owner moved on.

00:57:12.780 He, he, he, he folded up his dough and, uh, and he moved to Oregon and he started a business

00:57:20.540 called blue cube baths and they are ice plunges.

00:57:25.000 They are cold plunges.

00:57:26.320 And man, they just put you, God, they just put you right back into the cradle of civilization,

00:57:32.800 baby.

00:57:33.760 They make you feel alive, son.

00:57:36.900 They'll make a, Oh, they'll make a dang Eagle land on your tongue. 0.88

00:57:41.500 Just the virility you feel being in there.

00:57:45.060 They're really, really wonderful.

00:57:48.020 Blue cube baths.com.

00:57:49.400 You can check them out.

00:57:51.100 Um, I was very fortunate to receive one as a gift from them.

00:57:53.960 Um, and I just can't recommend them enough.

00:57:57.280 And I just wanted to let you know how they associate, uh, to the podcast.

00:58:01.800 And, uh, if you're interested in, in an ice bath or in a cold plunge, blue cube baths

00:58:08.680 is where to go.

00:58:09.520 We hope you're enjoying your Air Canada flight.

00:58:12.100 Rocky's vacation.

00:58:13.340 Here we come.

00:58:14.840 Whoa.

00:58:15.500 Is this economy?

00:58:16.960 Free beer, wine, and snacks.

00:58:19.420 Sweet.

00:58:20.500 Fast free wifi means I can make dinner reservations before we land.

00:58:24.560 And with live TV, I'm not missing the game.

00:58:27.600 It's kind of like I'm already on vacation.

00:58:30.760 Nice.

00:58:31.920 On behalf of Air Canada, nice travels.

00:58:34.760 Wifi available to Airplane members on equipped flights.

00:58:37.160 Sponsored by Bell.

00:58:37.780 Conditions apply.

00:58:38.360 I see your Canada.com.

00:58:40.300 Yeah, it was a fun job.

00:58:41.460 So you met a lady there? 0.95

00:58:42.700 Flight attendants.

00:58:43.520 I met all the flight attendants there.

00:58:45.220 It was everything.

00:58:45.780 Jesus.

00:58:46.820 To this day, I'm not a beta because I was, I was seeing this girl that was a flight attendant

00:58:52.680 for Northwest Airlines who was dating the head of the beta, the beta house at the University

00:58:58.140 of Minnesota.

00:58:59.360 So when they rushed me, it's like five years later, the guy, he never, he never got over it.

00:59:04.240 Yeah.

00:59:04.780 He was jealous?

00:59:06.060 I guess.

00:59:06.860 I was 15 and she was, what, 23?

00:59:10.760 Yeah.

00:59:12.600 Dang.

00:59:13.080 That's a win, brother.

00:59:14.160 Oh, I used to be sitting there.

00:59:15.340 I'd talk to her mom and dad in the apartment and she would say, Rick, come to the door.

00:59:19.460 Come up to the stairway so I can show you something.

00:59:22.580 And she, I'd walk over to the stairway and she'd be standing there completely naked in 1.00

00:59:25.960 high heels.

00:59:26.760 Wow.

00:59:27.560 Going like this.

00:59:29.800 Oh, yeah.

00:59:30.760 Yeah.

00:59:31.120 Okay.

00:59:31.620 My God, boy. 0.99

00:59:34.620 And tits was just so nice back then, weren't they? 0.99

00:59:37.600 Everything. 0.98

00:59:38.760 My God.

00:59:39.460 God, I'd never seen anything like that in my entire life.

00:59:41.780 Mm-hmm.

00:59:42.500 Even in the magazines, it looks different.

00:59:44.860 Yeah.

00:59:46.020 Nothing like a real tit.

00:59:47.540 Yeah.

00:59:48.200 You're an adult woman.

00:59:49.360 My God.

00:59:50.460 Mm-hmm.

00:59:51.060 God.

00:59:51.460 I blew corral her car, which took me 10 hours.

00:59:54.280 You what?

00:59:54.820 I blew corral her car, which is that old-fashioned deal where it's 10 hours, sweating like a snow 0.99

01:00:01.520 bitch, 120 degrees. 1.00

01:00:03.560 That's how much I like that stuff. 1.00

01:00:06.160 She had a 442.

01:00:08.240 And that's the first woman you ever made love to? 0.91

01:00:10.440 Yeah.

01:00:10.760 No, no, no.

01:00:11.820 The first woman I made love to was, I didn't know how to make love. 1.00

01:00:15.620 Oh, yeah.

01:00:16.740 Yeah.

01:00:16.960 I was like, you know, who knows?

01:00:20.160 But the validity of the fact is I could recover in six seconds.

01:00:27.020 Wow.

01:00:27.520 So just think, okay, let me just, okay, I'm ready.

01:00:31.440 Wow, really?

01:00:32.660 Oh, my God.

01:00:33.980 Like a human squirt gun. 0.67

01:00:35.020 I never had that.

01:00:35.900 I would get counted out of the ring all the time.

01:00:38.780 No.

01:00:40.120 I mean, I would get, yeah.

01:00:42.380 God.

01:00:43.180 And there's nothing sadder, I'll tell you this, from somebody, you don't have this experience,

01:00:47.060 but I'll tell you, there's nothing sadder when a girl's like, you want to go again? 0.98

01:00:49.720 And you're like, I want to, you know what I'm saying?

01:00:52.440 But we're not.

01:00:53.860 Yeah. 0.99

01:00:54.320 And then you have to sit there and do something, or you got to fucking go get a lemonade or 0.99

01:00:58.300 something. 0.99

01:00:58.820 Yeah.

01:01:01.100 I haven't experienced that, but I haven't.

01:01:03.300 You don't want to, Rick?

01:01:04.360 No, I have.

01:01:05.580 But in that situation, I just go, like, I'm tired.

01:01:08.600 Oh, yeah.

01:01:09.380 I'm so asleep.

01:01:10.920 But then the worst part is, I never say I can't.

01:01:13.600 But I never, you never tell a woman the truth. 1.00

01:01:17.280 No, Jesus.

01:01:18.400 The minute you start telling a woman the truth, then you got to be honest with yourself, and 1.00

01:01:22.160 that's hard to do with women. 1.00

01:01:23.620 Oh, shit. 1.00

01:01:25.320 They can put the hottest light on me and ask me a thousand times. 1.00

01:01:29.240 And I am guilty of doing it, but I still won't admit it.

01:01:34.260 Wow.

01:01:34.780 I told the judge five times, judge, I did not do that.

01:01:37.620 We have you on film.

01:01:39.040 That's not me.

01:01:40.120 It looks just like you.

01:01:40.920 That's not me.

01:01:41.720 The judge said, I'm going to hold you in contempt.

01:01:45.400 I said, well, I'm not going to admit it's me.

01:01:48.340 What do you call it?

01:01:49.000 I plead the fifth?

01:01:52.640 Man.

01:01:54.300 I'm going to remember that.

01:01:56.860 When you start telling the truth, boy, you're in trouble.

01:01:59.740 Yeah.

01:02:00.640 Holy cow. 0.89

01:02:01.820 But women like that game. 1.00

01:02:04.160 They want you to, they want to be, they want to be as clever as we are.

01:02:11.820 But they're not.

01:02:14.100 So women like the game, huh? 1.00

01:02:16.000 You got to remember that.

01:02:17.420 Oh, sure they do.

01:02:18.260 Are you kidding?

01:02:19.660 That's a lot of them.

01:02:20.320 I'm going to tell you something right now.

01:02:21.260 Women love cowboys. 1.00

01:02:23.420 Ladies love outlaws. 1.00

01:02:24.620 Like little babies love stray dogs.

01:02:26.400 You know that?

01:02:27.100 Yeah.

01:02:27.840 Yeah.

01:02:28.140 For every good woman, there's two outlaws. 1.00

01:02:31.700 For every outlaw, there's 20 women. 1.00

01:02:33.660 Yeah.

01:02:34.060 Yeah.

01:02:34.240 Yeah.

01:02:34.500 Yeah.

01:02:34.960 Yeah.

01:02:35.100 Yeah.

01:02:35.120 Yeah.

01:02:35.140 Yeah.

01:02:35.180 Yeah.

01:02:35.200 Yeah.

01:02:35.260 Yeah.

01:02:35.660 Yeah.

01:02:36.260 Yeah.

01:02:36.760 Yeah.

01:02:37.260 Yeah.

01:02:38.260 Yeah.

01:02:38.760 Yeah.

01:02:39.260 Yeah.

01:02:39.340 Yeah.

01:02:40.260 Yeah.

01:02:41.260 Even if there's your blanks, they make the noise.

01:02:49.780 Oh, man, dude.

01:02:55.700 Yeah.

01:02:55.920 That's crazy.

01:02:58.060 God.

01:02:58.460 Yeah, dude.

01:03:00.140 There's been some times on the road.

01:03:01.760 It's like, yeah, there's sometimes like there.

01:03:04.480 I think there could be a woman that could come up to me right now and be like, do you 1.00

01:03:07.160 remember this?

01:03:07.920 And I'm like, I have no idea about that.

01:03:10.240 Yeah.

01:03:10.820 First of all, a lot of them don't look the same.

01:03:13.940 I just, I have no idea what you're talking about.

01:03:16.160 It was me in 1982.

01:03:17.620 I said, oh, you know what?

01:03:19.640 I mean, someone moved her out of line. 0.78

01:03:22.040 She's blocking traffic here. 1.00

01:03:23.840 She's claiming she knows of you.

01:03:25.120 It's impossible.

01:03:27.340 Boy, I think I've got it cold.

01:03:31.160 Woo.

01:03:31.780 Have you had some ladies that came back that showed back up? 1.00

01:03:34.360 Oh, hell yeah.

01:03:34.740 My God.

01:03:35.980 That happens at least once a month.

01:03:37.880 Different cities around the country.

01:03:39.520 Remember me?

01:03:40.280 No.

01:03:40.540 And how old are they?

01:03:45.020 Well, I'm 74.

01:03:47.180 Some of them are, oh, my God.

01:03:49.340 And I'm probably, it's like my friend and I just said, beak.

01:03:55.920 And he says, everybody your age is dead.

01:04:00.120 Some of these chicks might as well be. 0.99

01:04:03.660 There's no way that you and I, no.

01:04:06.940 Marietta, we're sure not a chance.

01:04:09.140 You're a mistaken identity.

01:04:12.000 You got the wrong guy.

01:04:13.200 My name is Fred Phillips, not Ric Flair.

01:04:16.260 Did you watch my biography?

01:04:17.740 Yeah, yeah.

01:04:21.260 Man.

01:04:22.680 Jim Dandy.

01:04:23.900 Was it, you worked, I know you worked on the road.

01:04:29.220 Who do you, who was fun to travel with on the road?

01:04:31.060 Like when you guys were just in the car cruising?

01:04:32.840 Who was it?

01:04:33.120 Oh, me, Aaron, Tully, and Barry is the best.

01:04:35.400 Yeah.

01:04:36.120 Oh, JJ, yeah.

01:04:37.280 And that was during Four Horsemen days?

01:04:38.660 Four Horsemen did the best.

01:04:40.280 Wow.

01:04:40.880 Man, we.

01:04:41.700 How much fun must that have been?

01:04:43.320 You guys, and would y'all all ride in the same car?

01:04:45.300 Yeah.

01:04:45.700 Yeah.

01:04:46.080 What kind of car would you get?

01:04:48.080 We're all driving Cadillacs and I bought, and then all of a sudden the Mercedes thing hit

01:04:51.560 and I bought, but I started buying a Mercedes.

01:04:54.380 I never changed.

01:04:56.140 I bought a Rolls-Royce one time, but it just, it wasn't even worth it.

01:05:00.480 Yeah.

01:05:00.800 Because the door was open, a big deal.

01:05:02.780 And you can't park it near anything because you're afraid it's going to get dinged up.

01:05:05.620 Yeah, yeah.

01:05:05.800 That's what I never liked.

01:05:06.880 I rode with a friend one time who was rich, and I'm like, dude, we got to park seven miles

01:05:11.000 away because you don't want to get the doors dinged.

01:05:13.020 Yeah, yeah.

01:05:14.260 Yeah, you guys would hit the road, huh?

01:05:16.800 Oh, yeah.

01:05:17.420 Well, later on, we traveled via private jet.

01:05:23.040 Our company bought a Falcon 10, which was great.

01:05:26.780 But in our younger days, we traveled.

01:05:29.380 Oh, yeah.

01:05:29.840 But we liked to travel during the day.

01:05:32.700 You're never going to, why drive?

01:05:34.740 And when I was young, we drove at night.

01:05:36.900 But as we started to realize that we were at a level of popularity, why not spend the night?

01:05:43.880 Going out.

01:05:44.340 And enjoy the local, you know, whatever, food, whatever, establishment, ladies, whatever.

01:05:50.100 The flavor, yeah.

01:05:50.780 Yeah, and then travel the next day.

01:05:53.040 But then when we got the jet, that's when we, we parked our jet in like Vegas, worked

01:05:59.500 Seattle back to Vegas, out all night.

01:06:02.140 Yeah.

01:06:02.380 Portland back to Vegas, out all night.

01:06:04.840 L.A. back to Vegas, out all night.

01:06:07.160 San Diego back to Vegas, all night.

01:06:09.600 It's called the Great American Bash on tour.

01:06:11.860 Albuquerque back to Vegas, right?

01:06:13.620 Yeah.

01:06:13.980 Vegas.

01:06:15.180 Vegas back to Vegas.

01:06:16.700 And then Frisco and L.A.

01:06:19.060 And then we hit Kansas City anyway home.

01:06:21.860 Man, I mean, I was running on weeder products.

01:06:23.900 You know, a lot of the guys were loading up, which is not uncommon.

01:06:27.760 I just.

01:06:28.000 Doing coke?

01:06:28.880 Yeah.

01:06:29.160 The only reason I didn't, my dad was a doctor.

01:06:31.740 And he just said.

01:06:33.080 Don't do it.

01:06:33.440 From day one, man.

01:06:34.280 He said, you're going to, this guy can see this happening in your business.

01:06:38.680 I don't know anything about it.

01:06:39.600 But, you know, it happens not just to you guys, but because of the wear and tear in the

01:06:45.280 travel.

01:06:45.860 Oh, yeah.

01:06:46.600 It's almost a necessity.

01:06:48.260 Yeah.

01:06:48.580 But I avoided that.

01:06:49.700 But, oh, man, I'll tell you, I've had 17 nervous breakdowns. 1.00

01:06:54.440 No shit. 0.99

01:06:54.860 I was just so exhausted. 0.99

01:06:56.120 And one night I wrestled for an hour in Orlando in the old Eddie Graham Sports Arena, which

01:07:04.300 is a tin building, 104 degrees.

01:07:06.840 And I wrestled Butch Reed.

01:07:08.900 And my heart was like racing like hell.

01:07:11.000 So I called my dad on a pay phone.

01:07:12.640 And he was in Minneapolis.

01:07:15.060 I said, Dad, my heart's racing.

01:07:17.300 He said, what was the last time you went to bed?

01:07:19.960 And I said, I don't know.

01:07:21.100 I thought to myself, I didn't want to answer.

01:07:22.660 I said, well, I went to bed last night.

01:07:23.860 I said, what time?

01:07:25.100 He said, I never went to bed, right?

01:07:26.700 And then, so I had to go to Tokyo the next day.

01:07:32.660 And I got in a plane going, God, I can't do this.

01:07:35.640 So I drank all the way to Narita.

01:07:39.300 Drank 14 hours.

01:07:41.700 I maybe slept two hours, but I woke up and kept drinking, right?

01:07:44.720 This is in like 83 or 84.

01:07:48.020 Land in Narita.

01:07:49.220 Back then we had the paper ticket.

01:07:50.900 And I said, I just can't do this.

01:07:53.340 And I could hear Bob, his wife, Flair, son, you know,

01:07:56.600 I walked over to the guy.

01:08:00.220 I said, when's the next flight back in the United States?

01:08:03.120 I went, I need to get to Charlotte.

01:08:05.020 He said, we got one for Seattle, leave in the 20 minutes.

01:08:08.440 I said, I went back there, didn't have that deal but the bags.

01:08:11.580 Took the paper ticket, we'll be back.

01:08:13.660 I flew from Narita to Seattle, Seattle to Chicago,

01:08:19.240 Chicago to Charlotte.

01:08:21.240 And to make a long story short,

01:08:23.780 I sat down next to the guy.

01:08:26.600 I sat down where?

01:08:27.560 I sat down next to this guy on the plane

01:08:29.680 going back to Narita to Seattle.

01:08:33.220 And I go, do you mind if I talk to you?

01:08:35.200 He said, no, why?

01:08:37.920 I said, I'm having a nervous breakdown.

01:08:39.820 I need someone to talk to him.

01:08:41.700 And he said, really?

01:08:43.000 I said, yep, I'm having a nervous breakdown.

01:08:44.340 You know, and so I talked all the way to Seattle,

01:08:48.380 drank all the way to Seattle.

01:08:50.220 And then I slept to Chicago.

01:08:52.840 And I walked, I got in the other plane.

01:08:54.860 I landed in Charlotte.

01:08:57.200 And the firm owner was there, Jimmy Crockett.

01:08:59.840 He said, you got to go back.

01:09:01.560 You're advertised.

01:09:03.260 We got back on the plane.

01:09:04.920 Never even left the airport.

01:09:06.560 Went all the way back to Tokyo.

01:09:08.220 Oh, my God.

01:09:08.980 Drinking again.

01:09:11.160 I mean, I was having a full-fledged nervous breakdown.

01:09:14.140 And got there and went to the arena,

01:09:17.880 wrestled an hour, and I broke the sweat.

01:09:20.900 And I just started over again.

01:09:22.960 But the guy from Seattle, we changed addresses, right?

01:09:26.940 Mm-hmm.

01:09:27.180 And he sent me a Christmas card for 10 years.

01:09:31.000 He said, I didn't know how famous you were.

01:09:33.640 Really enjoyed talking to you.

01:09:34.840 Man, you're an interesting guy.

01:09:38.820 Isn't that crazy?

01:09:40.180 Yeah.

01:09:40.560 I didn't know how famous you were.

01:09:41.760 And I said, really enjoyed talking.

01:09:43.640 I hope you're feeling better.

01:09:48.400 Dude, that's a long.

01:09:49.440 Full-fledged breakdown, man.

01:09:50.900 God, what did it feel like when you're having a nervous breakdown?

01:09:52.980 Like, what do you kind of go through?

01:09:54.160 I had one a few years ago.

01:09:55.340 Oh, you just lose control.

01:09:57.100 I mean, you're just like, you're looking for somebody to talk to.

01:10:00.580 It's strange.

01:10:01.680 It's hard to walk up to someone and say,

01:10:03.480 hey, I think I'm having a nervous breakdown.

01:10:05.540 Most people want to run away and go, call the cops. 0.99

01:10:10.800 He's a wacko. 1.00

01:10:12.980 Yeah, call God. 0.97

01:10:13.960 No, I waited until the plane took off before it sent it to him.

01:10:16.260 I don't want him calling 911.

01:10:19.800 You're like, hey, remind me when we take off.

01:10:21.680 I got something to tell you.

01:10:22.740 And nowadays, can you imagine walking up to a plane in it?

01:10:25.220 Will you talk to me?

01:10:26.100 I'm having a nervous breakdown.

01:10:27.060 Okay.

01:10:27.820 Oh, they'll tage you. 0.82

01:10:28.600 Yeah.

01:10:29.800 They'll call you racist and tage you. 0.95

01:10:31.320 Can we land the plane, please?

01:10:32.780 Yeah.

01:10:33.440 They'll put you in the suit and take you off the plane.

01:10:36.180 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:10:38.540 Oh, I've had about five of them.

01:10:40.140 No kidding.

01:10:40.960 Yeah, it's heavy, huh?

01:10:41.940 You know what gore-phobia is?

01:10:43.740 Where you have to be close to something?

01:10:45.480 Oh, yeah, yeah.

01:10:46.460 Know what I'm talking about?

01:10:47.180 Gore-phobia.

01:10:48.340 Yeah.

01:10:48.620 You can't be alone.

01:10:50.460 You can't walk outside of your house.

01:10:52.020 Oh, you had that, you think?

01:10:53.580 I know I had it.

01:10:54.880 Wow.

01:10:55.380 Yeah, I had it for about six months.

01:10:57.720 I couldn't get myself to leave and drive to the airport.

01:11:01.260 Wow.

01:11:01.400 I mean, it's horrible.

01:11:03.520 What do you think brought it on?

01:11:04.780 And when you feel back in it, like, what did it-

01:11:06.820 Yeah, because I was just living a crazy lifestyle.

01:11:10.200 Do you think you felt bad about anything, or do you think you just, it was just so much

01:11:14.420 like drinking and partying?

01:11:15.820 No, just so much drinking and partying.

01:11:17.380 I just, I didn't sleep.

01:11:19.220 Yeah.

01:11:19.760 And the one thing I did do, which is kind of legendary in our business, is regardless

01:11:24.380 of what I did to myself, I worked out every day.

01:11:28.300 And sometimes I just pushed myself too hard, and that would cause that.

01:11:32.940 And then, and having different promoters try to, you know, like when I cut my hair, I

01:11:39.280 really lost my mind when I cut my hair.

01:11:41.580 Did you ever heard?

01:11:43.040 Spartacus, put a earring on. 1.00

01:11:44.440 I'm Ric Flair, motherfucker. 1.00

01:11:46.840 You know, there's something, you know- 0.99

01:11:48.300 When I cut my hair and I walked through the Charlotte airport, nobody knew who I was. 0.65

01:11:52.400 I wanted to absolutely walk in the bathroom and kill myself.

01:11:56.540 I used to, I mean, normally walk down there, hey, Ric, combing my hair and all that.

01:12:00.380 Now I got the surfer Joe haircut, just give me a break.

01:12:05.220 You know, I mean, Native Americans, it was a big thing to them to have their hair.

01:12:09.060 They took each other's hair.

01:12:10.720 If they captured one another, they would scalp one another.

01:12:13.280 Well, I started a trend with it.

01:12:14.900 Yeah.

01:12:15.500 And then they have some from older.

01:12:16.700 I mean, I still can't believe I gave in to them.

01:12:18.680 Yeah. 0.97

01:12:18.940 Man, it's funny because I've cut my hair before and it fucking hurt me. 0.78

01:12:25.400 Oh, I can't remember the girl's name, Mary Riley.

01:12:27.320 She said, are you sure you want to do this?

01:12:29.560 I said, no, I don't want to do it, but I almost have to to keep my job.

01:12:33.560 But man, I was in shock.

01:12:35.480 That alone was a nervous breakdown.

01:12:40.980 How hard was it to be?

01:12:44.260 Like, I could imagine, like, I don't have any children yet.

01:12:46.520 I would like to have some one day, you know?

01:12:48.740 That's the greatest reward in the world.

01:12:50.300 Was it really?

01:12:51.100 The greatest reward in the world, yes.

01:12:53.440 Were you surprised that it was so rewarding?

01:12:56.280 Did you think, did you?

01:12:57.620 No, my problem is it was the greatest thing in the world, but I didn't have time to spend with my older ones.

01:13:04.400 Yeah.

01:13:05.160 My younger ones I had more time to spend with.

01:13:07.880 But my younger ones, I mean, they lived in Minneapolis, number one.

01:13:11.280 And the NWA did not, was not, that was AWA.

01:13:17.720 So the NWA didn't even go to Minneapolis.

01:13:20.380 So I only got to see them during the summer.

01:13:22.780 And when they came for the summer, I'm traveling.

01:13:25.660 Right.

01:13:25.980 So I just had them travel with me.

01:13:28.560 Was some of that fun sometimes?

01:13:30.540 Yeah.

01:13:30.840 When we came to Florida for a week, yeah.

01:13:33.200 Or we went to Portland for a week or went to Dallas for a week.

01:13:37.560 You know, but it's a lot to do here with the kids.

01:13:39.780 You know, Busch Gardens.

01:13:40.920 Yeah, Busch Gardens is fun, huh?

01:13:41.920 I mean, I've been to Disney World and Universal at least 50 times each one.

01:13:49.440 Yeah.

01:13:49.800 With both four sets of kids, with the four kids.

01:13:55.520 Is it hard, like, because you're a hero to so, like, you're an icon to people.

01:14:00.260 You're a hero.

01:14:00.860 You're this, you know, this thing that's larger than life, especially in the time when you were, like, when you were wrestling in your prime.

01:14:10.000 And that was just the prime for, like, if somebody was a star then, there was no way to, the only, they were, if television and their job labeled them a star, they were a star.

01:14:21.440 There was no, and there weren't that many stars, right?

01:14:25.040 There were some, but there weren't a ton.

01:14:26.720 Yeah.

01:14:27.180 But was it, like, I wonder if it would be hard as a child, right, if I'm looking at my father, if I would always feel like, man, how do I love my dad?

01:14:39.920 As much as these other people love them.

01:14:41.920 Does that make any sense?

01:14:43.180 Yeah.

01:14:44.600 Yeah, I think my older kids actually, because they didn't understand what I was doing, I think they were very resentful for a while.

01:14:54.220 But, you know, it's just, where is he, you know, and that's all they want.

01:15:00.800 All they want is your time, and the time is what you don't have.

01:15:04.320 Yeah.

01:15:05.520 In my line of work, because we travel.

01:15:08.560 I mean, even the kids today are still traveling four days a week.

01:15:13.320 Oh, what's fascinating, a lot of people don't know about wrestlers, is that they, there's, all the times they aren't on television, they're still wrestling.

01:15:19.900 Oh, yeah.

01:15:20.720 Different fights, they're still wrestling different matches.

01:15:22.900 They're leaving, they're leaving for a two-week tour of England and Italy.

01:15:28.520 Yeah.

01:15:29.060 Leaving, when, next week.

01:15:32.460 Yeah, I just wonder if that built up, like, what it would be like to, you didn't have a choice, so you couldn't wrestle less, really, right?

01:15:39.880 Um, no, I'm kidding.

01:15:43.520 I had a chance to make a movie with the Ryan Pictures.

01:15:46.740 They wanted me to do a James Bond thing.

01:15:48.480 I think what I heard was, like, that's best.

01:15:51.500 The guy was a big fan of mine.

01:15:52.840 He came to the forum where we're wrestling out there.

01:15:56.900 Money offers me 250 grand.

01:15:58.740 Wow.

01:15:59.380 And I went back, and then Krocchi said, yeah, you have to drop the world championship and go for six months, but I don't know where you'll be when you get back.

01:16:06.900 And I couldn't, it had been Buffaloed. 0.98

01:16:09.060 I should have gone and made the movie.

01:16:11.080 You think?

01:16:11.420 Come back, and I would have got right back.

01:16:12.440 Sure, I would have given.

01:16:13.800 But you don't, you know, it's, you don't know.

01:16:16.800 And you, I think life forced you to make decisions based on what you know, not what you think you can be this.

01:16:25.060 You know what I mean?

01:16:25.720 A lot of guys tried forever to make it in Hollywood, and three have made it.

01:16:30.060 Yeah.

01:16:30.720 Batista made it.

01:16:32.240 John made it.

01:16:33.420 And, of course, Dwayne.

01:16:34.300 But, but I can tell you, I mean, Roddy Piper spent his whole life, but outside of that, they live, they were just B movies.

01:16:43.800 Yeah.

01:16:44.260 He never got that crack.

01:16:45.720 And it's not because he didn't have a talent.

01:16:47.680 He just, it's bad for it political, too.

01:16:50.300 It's so political.

01:16:51.480 Yeah.

01:16:51.660 And now it's a lot of people's, you know, there's also even nepotism in that business.

01:16:55.500 There wasn't, there was nepotism in you guys' business kind of, isn't there?

01:16:58.380 Or, like, I guess there's a tradition of name in you guys' business.

01:17:02.180 You know, because you have, like, Dusty Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes.

01:17:05.320 You had the Von Ericks you had.

01:17:08.700 There's a lot of people whose children will also wrestle.

01:17:11.420 The Flares.

01:17:11.960 Yeah.

01:17:12.140 Your daughter is a wrestler.

01:17:13.360 Yeah.

01:17:13.700 She's the best.

01:17:14.560 Both your sons wrestled.

01:17:15.760 Huh?

01:17:16.700 Your youngest son wrestled.

01:17:18.040 Your oldest son didn't wrestle.

01:17:19.560 My oldest son did wrestle.

01:17:20.900 He did, sorry.

01:17:21.640 But he gave up on it, yeah.

01:17:22.380 Yeah.

01:17:23.700 My youngest son's the one that passed away.

01:17:25.760 Yeah.

01:17:26.000 Yeah, he would have been great.

01:17:28.680 Yeah.

01:17:29.160 But my daughter, I have no problem saying this, is the best wrestler, period, female or male 0.59

01:17:34.940 in the business today.

01:17:35.920 Yeah.

01:17:36.680 And she's badass. 1.00

01:17:37.720 Yeah.

01:17:39.020 Was there ever a thought, did you guys ever get pitched to do a match against each other?

01:17:43.980 No, no, no.

01:17:44.920 Yeah.

01:17:45.900 What was it like when they had the ladies of wrestling back then? 1.00

01:17:48.860 Because remember that?

01:17:50.040 Horrible.

01:17:50.900 They'd put those dames in there sometimes, you know? 1.00

01:17:53.880 Yeah.

01:17:53.960 And everybody looked like they were like angry jazzercizers. 0.93

01:17:56.440 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:17:57.900 No, it didn't float.

01:17:59.980 It was a nice theory and concept, but.

01:18:03.360 Did y'all have to travel with those ladies? 1.00

01:18:05.640 No, no.

01:18:06.320 You never saw them?

01:18:07.500 No.

01:18:07.640 I saw lady wrestlers in the old days, but it's a totally different thing. 0.99

01:18:10.920 And they were as badly managed and mistreated as the midgets were. 1.00

01:18:16.000 I mean, the midgets got paid nothing. 1.00

01:18:17.800 Really?

01:18:18.360 It was terrible.

01:18:19.160 Yeah.

01:18:19.800 That's why anything I could do to help them transportation-wise and that, or buy them

01:18:25.040 drinks and food or that.

01:18:26.420 Or get them laid, get them a little. 0.62

01:18:27.620 Yeah, yeah.

01:18:28.320 Or that front wing.

01:18:29.120 Give me a leg, give me a leg. 1.00

01:18:30.080 You didn't hate your boy, you didn't hate your boy.

01:18:31.300 Give me a leg, give me a leg. 1.00

01:18:32.040 You didn't hate your boy. 1.00

01:18:32.620 Shut up, Lang. 0.99

01:18:35.500 And would he wear a cowboy hat? 1.00

01:18:38.640 Yeah.

01:18:39.140 Oh, yeah.

01:18:39.620 Google him.

01:18:41.160 I got to pull up Cowboy Lang.

01:18:43.200 Cowboy Lang.

01:18:44.620 He's famous.

01:18:45.600 And was he the tallest?

01:18:47.880 I think he's only 4'10", right?

01:18:50.160 Ooh. 1.00

01:18:51.240 That's tall enough to fuck, huh? 1.00

01:18:52.540 There he is right there. 1.00

01:18:53.740 Ooh.

01:18:55.860 Gee, would you like him?

01:18:57.360 Look at Cowboy Lang.

01:18:59.700 Yeah, he was a little pretty small.

01:19:04.640 Dang.

01:19:05.500 He got nice hair on him, huh?

01:19:06.700 Yeah.

01:19:08.000 The Cowboy Hall, what is he, 4'10", 4'11"?

01:19:10.260 Four foot.

01:19:12.280 Four foot.

01:19:13.140 Yeah.

01:19:14.180 Yeah.

01:19:14.780 You got to really. 1.00

01:19:15.860 Oh, if you show up to fuck at four foot, you got to really mean it. 1.00

01:19:18.600 Yeah. 1.00

01:19:19.360 Yeah.

01:19:20.100 Especially with a five foot nine chick. 1.00

01:19:22.380 Oh, wow.

01:19:24.280 How do you even.

01:19:25.100 I mean, I don't even.

01:19:27.200 God, I would have watched that match.

01:19:28.440 It's like scale of the mountain.

01:19:30.100 I would have watched that match, dude.

01:19:32.120 Or at least like hanging up your.

01:19:33.840 Putting the star on the Christmas tree.

01:19:35.500 Yeah.

01:19:36.880 I have a friend that was with a one-legged mission in Dubois.

01:19:41.480 And I have a one day.

01:19:42.340 I said, how was that?

01:19:43.380 He goes, it was brutal.

01:19:46.020 Oh.

01:19:48.600 Yeah.

01:19:48.980 They didn't have.

01:19:49.340 I'm not mentioning names.

01:19:51.280 We had a little person.

01:19:52.460 We had a little person in our town and people would always try and get him to like tell

01:19:56.800 him. 0.99

01:19:57.180 Like people always thought he knew secrets and like magic and shit. 1.00

01:20:01.060 People are always like, do some fucking magic. 1.00

01:20:03.980 And you say shit like that. 1.00

01:20:06.960 Who? 1.00

01:20:07.460 Tell me about this.

01:20:07.980 Say you're on a plane, right?

01:20:08.940 The plane's full of cocaine, right?

01:20:10.620 It's going down.

01:20:12.260 You don't do cocaine.

01:20:14.060 But there's, you gotta, there's, you, there's one and it's all wrestlers. 0.93

01:20:17.420 Who's the guy that's got to get in there and fucking, the only way to save the plane 0.96

01:20:21.260 is somebody's got to do all the cocaine. 0.99

01:20:23.440 Who's the guy that could really fucking party? 0.99

01:20:25.600 I used to do a lot of cocaine. 0.99

01:20:27.940 Oh, the, I used to call him John Wesley Harden, you know, who John Wesley Harden is.

01:20:32.920 Supposedly the fastest gunslinger of all time.

01:20:36.900 I've never seen anybody in my life.

01:20:39.380 And this is a compliment.

01:20:41.060 Yeah.

01:20:41.780 To him as a person and a man.

01:20:44.120 I've never seen anybody that could run.

01:20:47.600 And I'll take Keith Richards all day long.

01:20:50.180 Yeah.

01:20:50.560 Could run with Roddy Piper.

01:20:52.220 Wow.

01:20:53.040 The hot rod brother.

01:20:54.140 Oh, he used to wear that shirt that said, he had the best shirt of all time.

01:20:58.300 How much rod can you take?

01:21:01.220 I said, that's my gimmick. 1.00

01:21:02.920 I want that damn shirt out, Rod. 0.99

01:21:05.260 How much rod can you take? 1.00

01:21:07.700 God, boy, I would want that.

01:21:09.440 Yeah, I'd love, dude, my God. 0.99

01:21:12.100 I would love, I mean, I would turn an eight ball into a two ball in fucking four minutes. 0.98

01:21:16.540 You have no idea. 0.99

01:21:17.640 Really?

01:21:18.140 Roddy could do it, huh?

01:21:19.640 The hot rod.

01:21:20.880 I wrote it in my book.

01:21:21.820 He said, I told us, I was in the Dominican Republic wrestling Jack Veneno.

01:21:29.580 We had a riot after the matches.

01:21:33.440 A riot?

01:21:34.780 Oh, yeah, Jack Veneno.

01:21:36.060 Because over there, the wrestlings, I'm the first white guy to go to the islands, man.

01:21:41.420 It was rough. 0.99

01:21:42.260 No shit. 1.00

01:21:44.000 What didn't they like? 1.00

01:21:45.460 Well, we did a finish where he had a sleeper.

01:21:47.640 That was just a finish hole, right?

01:21:48.960 It's a little guy, right?

01:21:50.540 And the referee went, one, dropped my arm, right?

01:21:53.960 Two, right?

01:21:55.360 And the bell rang, right?

01:21:57.220 And they thought that he won.

01:21:59.180 And the guy went to hand the bell to me.

01:22:01.020 I'm laying there like, you know, bloody and all that. 0.99

01:22:03.280 And they thought, what the fuck? 0.99

01:22:05.440 And they hit the ring. 1.00

01:22:06.720 Wow.

01:22:07.320 Fought ourselves all the way back.

01:22:09.600 Got back there.

01:22:11.780 God, they took me to the office.

01:22:12.920 They gave me five grand.

01:22:14.320 And gave Roddy Piper his platoon full of cocaine.

01:22:16.860 Yeah. 0.70

01:22:17.200 And took us over to a whorehouse and dropped us off. 1.00

01:22:20.320 God damn. 1.00

01:22:21.020 And dropped you off? 1.00

01:22:22.980 Yeah.

01:22:24.560 Roddy looked like Chevy Chase in trading places, the line around his mouth.

01:22:29.620 Is that trading place, is that movie with Chevy Chase?

01:22:35.380 I like it.

01:22:38.020 Scarface got nothing on Roddy.

01:22:40.780 Wow, man.

01:22:42.040 He ended up doing stand-up comedy at the end of his career.

01:22:44.300 Yeah.

01:22:45.380 Listen, the most entertaining guy.

01:22:47.920 Oh.

01:22:48.580 To me, he's funnier than when I inducted him in the Hall of Fame.

01:22:53.720 I said, who's the guy that was married to Jenny McCarthy for a while?

01:22:57.700 Oh, Jim Carrey?

01:22:58.500 Yeah, Jim Carrey.

01:22:59.700 He's funnier than Jim Carrey.

01:23:00.920 Wow.

01:23:01.600 Yeah, he was incredibly funny.

01:23:04.240 Witty.

01:23:06.280 Yeah.

01:23:06.900 What was a gimmick?

01:23:07.880 A lot of gimmicks, you know?

01:23:08.960 I mean, one thing about wrestling is staying creative, staying unique,

01:23:11.800 especially like as the wrestlers themselves,

01:23:16.060 but also as the producers, the people putting it on. 0.96

01:23:18.360 What was some gimmicks or a gimmick that fucking flopped? 0.98

01:23:21.660 And you were like, this is fucking unreal. 0.99

01:23:24.540 Oh, God. 0.99

01:23:25.700 Too many.

01:23:26.400 Too many.

01:23:26.720 Too numerous.

01:23:27.720 Too numerous.

01:23:29.060 Too many to pick on just one.

01:23:31.500 Yeah.

01:23:32.760 It's, here's the deal.

01:23:34.400 They, would they have probably have 100 kids? 0.88

01:23:38.120 I'm not accurate on this count, but between 80 and 100 kids in Orlando right now at NXT, right?

01:23:44.420 If I'm looking at what I've seen in the last 10 years, which my daughter's involved in that equation,

01:23:50.320 in the last 10 years, my daughter, Sasha, Bailey, Becky, Roman, Seth, Dean, they're all main eventers and still are.

01:24:08.240 Yeah.

01:24:08.680 That's hard.

01:24:10.120 And once you get on top, it's harder to stay on top.

01:24:13.980 You don't realize, Miz has been around, Miz has been there 20 years.

01:24:17.400 Yeah.

01:24:18.140 Believe it or not.

01:24:19.060 Randy Orton's been there 22 years.

01:24:21.040 He's just 40 years old.

01:24:22.520 Wow.

01:24:22.840 You know what I mean?

01:24:23.580 Yeah.

01:24:23.860 And Randy's still on top.

01:24:25.240 Randy started on top, ended on top.

01:24:28.320 Cena had 20 years on top.

01:24:29.840 It's hard.

01:24:31.480 It's impossible.

01:24:32.880 But the percentage of people that come out of there, I would say is 1%.

01:24:36.940 It's that hard.

01:24:38.420 I went to a big recruiting thing this summer in L.A. at WrestleMania, and they had 100 kids, I think, and they took 10.

01:24:47.980 And they recruited legit college athletes from all over the country to attend.

01:24:53.260 Flew them in, put them through the drills, physical drills, not the kind like we used to, but still, let's see what they're made of.

01:25:02.340 But most Division I athletes have got the fortitude in that.

01:25:06.740 And out of that 10, one might make it.

01:25:10.140 It's that hard.

01:25:10.680 It's that hard.

01:25:11.740 Yeah.

01:25:12.080 Was there as many people trying when you were coming out?

01:25:14.760 No.

01:25:15.360 It was what the young, they did everything in the world to keep young guys away from it.

01:25:21.300 Away from it.

01:25:21.320 Yeah.

01:25:22.000 Wow.

01:25:22.440 So why was that?

01:25:23.660 Because they didn't want the competition.

01:25:25.540 So who did you guys do?

01:25:27.220 A young handsome guy.

01:25:27.760 The best example of all time was Ricky Steamboat.

01:25:31.440 He was not only a great wrestler, a great person.

01:25:34.300 But when Steamboat came to Charlotte, they hated him.

01:25:39.820 He's handsome, young, great body.

01:25:43.120 Because that was, back then, the bodies were just starting to become a big part of the business.

01:25:50.440 Especially in Vince's business.

01:25:53.660 And everybody wasn't lifting weights.

01:25:55.960 And nobody was as handsome.

01:25:57.800 He was more about personalities in a way.

01:25:59.460 Yeah.

01:25:59.840 I had to really fight for him to get him, to even get him going.

01:26:04.160 Because they said, oh, he'll never make it.

01:26:06.680 Well, look how big he got. 0.74

01:26:08.020 But so, and he's a real nice kid, too, which is not the kind of guy that's going to be a prick, you know? 0.73

01:26:17.080 Right. 0.93

01:26:18.140 It's easy to be a prick and then say, that's your way out. 1.00

01:26:21.640 I mean, fuck, I don't want to do this. 1.00

01:26:23.060 I don't want to do this anyway. 1.00

01:26:24.480 Fuck you guys. 1.00

01:26:25.440 I can name 100 guys like that. 1.00

01:26:27.440 Yeah.

01:26:27.980 I don't want to do this anyway.

01:26:29.760 Yeah.

01:26:29.980 Or you held me back.

01:26:31.400 That's the greatest line.

01:26:32.540 How do you hold someone back?

01:26:34.300 If you're not the promoter, how do you hold someone back?

01:26:38.720 Yeah. 1.00

01:26:39.500 You call the promoter and say, this guy's an asshole? 1.00

01:26:41.320 Yeah. 1.00

01:26:41.820 Yeah. 1.00

01:26:42.640 Well, a good promoter's going to go, fuck you if a guy's got talent. 1.00

01:26:46.000 If he can draw money. 1.00

01:26:47.980 Well, like Vince, look at all the shit with Bischoff. 0.99

01:26:50.940 He's still found a way to use him. 0.99

01:26:53.500 Right.

01:26:54.080 Right?

01:26:54.340 And it worked.

01:26:55.560 But how do you leave the company?

01:26:57.460 In a garbage truck.

01:27:00.040 I mean, he always gets you there. 0.95

01:27:01.600 Put him in a garbage truck and drove off.

01:27:05.300 His last day at the company.

01:27:06.460 Really?

01:27:07.100 Yeah.

01:27:09.980 Wow.

01:27:10.520 Yeah, but he utilized it to make money.

01:27:12.520 Yeah.

01:27:13.320 Vince could forgive anything if there's a dollar attached to it.

01:27:17.260 He's a businessman, huh?

01:27:18.200 Businessman.

01:27:19.140 Business first.

01:27:20.780 Wow.

01:27:21.880 Hey, tomorrow, you're going to be with Hulk, right?

01:27:24.000 So I asked Hulk.

01:27:24.640 So Bischoff, Hulk, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall would go out on TV.

01:27:32.160 And this is Hulk.

01:27:34.240 And I used to think to myself, you know, Hulk knows this.

01:27:37.840 I used to go, man, this just ain't cool.

01:27:40.460 Bischoff got so mad at me because I wouldn't do it.

01:27:43.260 And they'd be on TV and they'd say, we're going to close you down, Vince.

01:27:46.700 We're sitting here telling you.

01:27:47.920 Because they beat him for 83 weeks.

01:27:49.820 Right.

01:27:50.040 Oh, beat him in the ratings?

01:27:51.200 Yeah, for 83 weeks.

01:27:52.200 Right.

01:27:52.880 And then along came Stone Cold Steve Austin.

01:27:55.280 And then one day he went like this to Vince.

01:27:57.640 And guess what?

01:27:59.260 83 weeks are over.

01:28:00.560 Wow.

01:28:01.040 And within two years, the company was bankrupt.

01:28:03.860 Yeah.

01:28:04.220 But he's forgiven Hulk.

01:28:06.000 Hmm.

01:28:06.760 And he forgave Kevin and Scott Hall.

01:28:09.340 McMahon did?

01:28:10.220 Sure.

01:28:10.800 Yeah.

01:28:11.140 He brought them all back.

01:28:12.140 Yeah.

01:28:12.580 And he was allowed to make money.

01:28:14.080 Yeah.

01:28:14.340 I mean, Hulk Hogan.

01:28:15.800 And to me, Hulk Hogan is the biggest star.

01:28:18.820 He and Austin.

01:28:19.420 Are there two biggest stars in the history of the business?

01:28:23.140 I'll tell you a great story.

01:28:24.280 I'm the NWA world champion.

01:28:25.760 I'm traveling around the world doing everything.

01:28:29.480 Hulk is in WWF, right?

01:28:32.140 I go home to Minneapolis.

01:28:33.960 My dad goes, how's it going right now?

01:28:35.560 How's everything going?

01:28:36.580 I said, it's good.

01:28:38.260 He said, all my friends know Hulk Hogan.

01:28:40.120 They don't know who you are.

01:28:41.940 Oh. 1.00

01:28:42.660 Dad, I'm the fucking world champion. 1.00

01:28:44.560 Of what? 1.00

01:28:44.980 Of what? 1.00

01:28:45.280 I hate you, fucking Hogan. 1.00

01:28:53.140 I'll say this. 1.00

01:28:54.000 Your championship belt, I don't know if we win it.

01:28:56.920 Hey, tell Hogan that I'm going to tell the story about the Hooter girls in Jacksonville. 0.89

01:29:04.060 When I hid my watch and I couldn't find it.

01:29:08.620 When I made your watch?

01:29:09.880 No, I hid it.

01:29:10.700 Oh, you did?

01:29:11.120 Because I've had four stolen over here.

01:29:13.240 Funny how girls wake up in the middle of the night and just walk off my Rolex. 1.00

01:29:15.920 It's time to go.

01:29:17.560 Yeah.

01:29:18.140 And I got to walk and walk.

01:29:19.300 Or my main coat.

01:29:22.020 Yeah.

01:29:22.560 Some lady walking out. 0.98

01:29:23.760 Some chick told me she was a professor at Northwestern University. 0.91

01:29:27.620 I took her back to the hotel in Chicago.

01:29:29.740 And my friend came in at four o'clock in the morning.

01:29:31.860 And she was going around her revolving door with my Rolex on. 0.57

01:29:34.300 I wore my main coat.

01:29:35.080 My friend grabbed her and said, I don't think so.

01:29:41.500 He walks back to my room, kicks me into his bed. 1.00

01:29:44.500 He said, the chick was stealing your shit. 1.00

01:29:46.740 I thought she was a teacher at Northwestern. 1.00

01:29:49.260 I guess not.

01:29:51.780 They've all got a story.

01:29:54.980 I woke up with two in Baltimore. 0.99

01:29:57.140 And I looked for all my shit. 0.99

01:30:01.820 I'm two girls married, right? 1.00

01:30:03.600 So I called the cops. 1.00

01:30:05.320 I said, okay, motherfuckers. 1.00

01:30:06.460 Where's my shit? 1.00

01:30:07.120 What are you talking about? 1.00

01:30:08.500 You threw your Rolex in a bowl of spaghetti.

01:30:12.620 And told us you had 11 of them.

01:30:15.420 I said, where are they throwing them on the wall?

01:30:17.380 Oh, we don't see that.

01:30:18.880 I'm free with Lane, Oregon, and round two. 0.99

01:30:22.280 Get the fuck out of here. 0.96

01:30:23.720 Do you think people dreaded seeing it? 1.00

01:30:27.460 Were you always like too much of a party for the scene, you think?

01:30:30.940 No, no.

01:30:31.620 People loved me.

01:30:32.380 People loved you.

01:30:35.240 I could find something I do in Lubbock, Texas on a Sunday night, brother.

01:30:39.480 That's a lot.

01:30:40.260 That's hard to do.

01:30:41.660 Yeah, that is hard.

01:30:42.860 Somewhere there's a victim.

01:30:46.340 I just need to start the conversation.

01:30:49.620 And what was the main...

01:30:50.400 We don't serve alcohol on Sunday.

01:30:51.580 Who does?

01:30:53.720 Who else could drink like that with you?

01:30:59.520 Who could really...

01:31:00.080 Oh, God.

01:31:00.720 Name it.

01:31:01.660 That's endless.

01:31:02.780 Double A, Mike Hegstrand, Piper.

01:31:06.920 Drinking guys are...

01:31:07.900 A lot of guys could really drink.

01:31:09.360 Yeah.

01:31:10.340 Did you ever try to stop drinking?

01:31:12.140 Well, I guess after your...

01:31:13.220 After your...

01:31:14.320 After that...

01:31:15.560 Well, I didn't drink for a year.

01:31:16.640 You didn't drink for a year.

01:31:17.360 And at one time, I was taking steroids, and I took an overdose of one.

01:31:21.300 And my heart went like this.

01:31:22.520 And the guy said, you've been drinking too much.

01:31:25.340 He thought I had cardiomyopathy.

01:31:27.480 So I quit.

01:31:28.140 I did an old doula for a year.

01:31:30.860 That's hard for me to quit drinking.

01:31:32.200 It was hard?

01:31:32.820 They put me in rehab.

01:31:33.700 I had no problem with quitting.

01:31:35.660 Did you...

01:31:36.380 How long were you in rehab for?

01:31:37.660 35 days.

01:31:38.640 And where'd you go to?

01:31:40.160 Place here in Tampa.

01:31:41.120 Oh, that's nice.

01:31:41.760 Yeah.

01:31:41.900 Florida has Fuller...

01:31:42.680 Every other building in Florida is a rehab.

01:31:44.280 Oh, yeah.

01:31:44.500 This was a dump.

01:31:45.240 It was an old... 1.00

01:31:48.240 Oh, shit. 0.99

01:31:51.220 Like a hotel. 1.00

01:31:51.800 What do you mean?

01:31:52.300 Like a day's in?

01:31:53.780 No, not a day's in, but La Quinta.

01:31:56.400 Oh, yeah.

01:31:57.000 La Quinta, boy.

01:31:57.720 Yeah.

01:31:58.020 Over here on Fowler, right?

01:31:59.140 Yeah.

01:31:59.380 So my roommate, my roommate's a doctor from Fort Lauderdale that is there for digesting crystal meth anally.

01:32:10.720 Oh, yeah.

01:32:11.080 That's one roommate. 0.67

01:32:12.340 Now, what's that got to do with me drinking?

01:32:14.220 The other one, the other guy is a 23-year-old that was taking 40 milligrams of Valium at 23.

01:32:22.960 You don't think he was vibrating?

01:32:24.940 The other guy, I'm trying to think.

01:32:29.580 The other guy, I don't know what the hell he did, but I mean, it was so far-fetched.

01:32:33.760 And here's the deal. 0.98

01:32:34.760 I get there, I go through all the physical and all that, get all the shit done, right? 0.96

01:32:38.620 The doctor checks me out. 0.91

01:32:40.340 I wake up in the morning, and when I was a kid, I used to smoke, so I just loaded up with cigarettes and dip.

01:32:46.960 I've always dipped my whole life.

01:32:48.880 I've quit twice, and I don't dip anymore, but I...

01:32:51.140 You will again, though.

01:32:52.240 I might.

01:32:52.880 But it's just nasty.

01:32:54.600 It's different.

01:32:55.380 Oh, yeah.

01:32:55.720 I don't like it, but you'll do it.

01:32:57.080 Yeah.

01:32:57.580 But I look across the courtyard, and I'm smoking a marble, right?

01:33:01.680 Mm-hmm.

01:33:02.400 And I'm drinking a cup of coffee, and I said to the guy, my roommate, I can't remember his name,

01:33:07.380 I said, isn't that the guy?

01:33:08.300 That guy looks just like a doctor.

01:33:10.200 He said, it is a doctor.

01:33:11.800 I said, what's he doing here?

01:33:12.820 He said, he's been a patient here for five years. 0.99

01:33:14.580 I said, the doctor is taking care of us as a fucking patient? 0.99

01:33:18.340 What? 1.00

01:33:19.060 I couldn't believe it.

01:33:20.260 So I walk up to the counselor. 1.00

01:33:21.540 I tell him, is that fucking guy, does he have a license? 0.99

01:33:24.540 No, they pulled it. 1.00

01:33:25.620 Well, how is he practicing medicine?

01:33:29.880 It is a nut house. 1.00

01:33:31.280 I was in the fucking night house. 1.00

01:33:33.980 I mean, I cried. 1.00

01:33:35.020 I went, this is a nut house.

01:33:36.340 Wow.

01:33:36.960 I'm full of nuts.

01:33:37.760 When the doctor's taking care of you, give me a shot, prescribing medication, and he's

01:33:45.860 there for, he's a five-year vet.

01:33:48.480 And he's a patient.

01:33:49.840 And he's a patient.

01:33:50.980 And he's taking care of me.

01:33:54.240 Oh, my God.

01:33:55.320 Who wrote that script?

01:33:56.800 I don't know.

01:33:58.320 That's what I said to him. 1.00

01:33:59.400 Holy shit. 1.00

01:34:00.500 Wow. 1.00

01:34:01.220 Oh, my God. 1.00

01:34:02.780 Damn, Rick. 1.00

01:34:03.340 You're not allowed to talk to the girls, Rick. 1.00

01:34:05.060 Okay.

01:34:06.680 I didn't want you to take this test again.

01:34:08.740 What does this look like?

01:34:09.780 A bear or a skunk or an owl? 1.00

01:34:13.000 It looks like you, dumb fuck. 1.00

01:34:15.220 Why are you asking me the same question? 1.00

01:34:17.240 I've been looking at this box for three weeks.

01:34:20.120 Yeah, I'm not going to change.

01:34:21.580 I don't know what it looks like.

01:34:23.660 What does it look like to you?

01:34:25.940 And why are you in here? 0.99

01:34:27.000 Yeah, you're fucking in here, too. 0.99

01:34:29.800 Yeah. 1.00

01:34:30.380 You think I'm lying? 1.00

01:34:32.040 No shit. 0.99

01:34:32.880 And did y'all do any athletics in there? 0.99

01:34:34.780 Did y'all do, like, volleyball or anything? 1.00

01:34:36.020 Fuck, no. 1.00

01:34:36.260 One guy told me I missed the morning walk. 1.00

01:34:38.740 And we went to the big meet, and I threatened to kill him. 1.00

01:34:41.240 I said, next time you stooge on me, motherfucker, I'll find you before we get here. 1.00

01:34:46.260 Because the way I was thinking, anybody want to talk? 1.00

01:34:48.600 Oh, the circle before you go to bed. 1.00

01:34:52.720 God, circle jerk. 1.00

01:34:56.300 God, man. 1.00

01:34:57.220 No, no shit. 1.00

01:34:58.180 It was brutal. 1.00

01:34:59.740 So you never.

01:35:00.360 I got that coin.

01:35:01.660 And he said, we're so proud to give you the coin to do it.

01:35:03.900 I walked across the street, walked into a bar, put it on the counter.

01:35:08.280 I said, you can have this.

01:35:10.140 You can frame it.

01:35:10.740 Say, Ric Flair was here.

01:35:12.120 And give me six Miller Lights and two Jack and Coke and two Kettle One and Cranberry and Lime.

01:35:21.860 I'm going to crack them all right there.

01:35:23.240 Then I had a limo pick me up and take me over to the beach.

01:35:27.540 Yeah.

01:35:28.740 Yeah.

01:35:29.400 Oh, you got to go for a swim after that.

01:35:30.860 Oh, Jesus.

01:35:32.060 I wasn't kidding.

01:35:33.520 What was it?

01:35:34.020 Was there ever any like wild?

01:35:35.040 You're not supposed to drink.

01:35:37.240 Okay.

01:35:39.280 Oh, wow.

01:35:40.660 That.

01:35:41.380 They faked me out with that for a while.

01:35:43.420 The company will never have your back break if you don't go back to rehab.

01:35:46.340 You said you'd go back.

01:35:47.500 I'm not going back.

01:35:48.400 Yeah.

01:35:48.680 Well, the company never used you again.

01:35:49.780 I said, okay, fine.

01:35:51.060 Two weeks later.

01:35:52.060 Will you come over to the TV?

01:35:53.000 I go, yeah, of course.

01:35:54.660 I thought I wasn't allowed to come anymore.

01:35:56.340 You are.

01:35:59.320 Do you think there was anything?

01:36:00.840 Was there a point where you really damaged your ability to go back?

01:36:03.520 Do you think?

01:36:03.980 That you damaged it, not that they chose it?

01:36:07.000 No.

01:36:07.300 With them?

01:36:07.640 No.

01:36:07.780 I was kind of along with them.

01:36:08.800 Yeah.

01:36:08.980 No, that's one of the reasons I'm successful.

01:36:13.240 I've always said yes.

01:36:15.540 It's the difference between me and Hulk.

01:36:16.940 He'll tell you.

01:36:17.940 I said yes, Hulk said no.

01:36:19.500 Yeah.

01:36:21.840 Because I wanted to get along. 0.99

01:36:23.360 I didn't give a fuck. 0.99

01:36:24.640 Right. 0.99

01:36:24.940 If they gave me something to do, I just made it better.

01:36:27.840 I'll do it.

01:36:28.120 Whatever. 0.92

01:36:28.500 They put me in that house, act like I'm a nut. 0.66

01:36:30.800 Okay. 0.98

01:36:31.400 I am a nut.

01:36:33.660 Did alcohol, your son had addiction issues.

01:36:37.720 I'm in recovery, right?

01:36:38.800 So, I've had addiction issues over the years.

01:36:41.120 It's in my family.

01:36:41.740 Yeah, with heroin.

01:36:43.380 It's sad.

01:36:44.440 It's not an addiction.

01:36:45.540 It's a disease.

01:36:46.300 Yeah.

01:36:46.760 It's unbelievable.

01:36:48.180 I've never.

01:36:49.940 I was in such a denial.

01:36:52.660 Unbelievable.

01:36:53.400 And as a parent, is it hard to notice when that's going on?

01:36:56.500 Because I've never been a parent.

01:36:57.640 Is it hard to notice?

01:36:58.640 It's like, yeah, well, I think I noticed a little bit in high school with the weed and

01:37:04.060 that, but here's the thing.

01:37:06.180 He was on life support four times.

01:37:09.520 Okay.

01:37:10.260 Just prior to dying.

01:37:11.400 And one time, one time when he came off the ventilator, his left leg was like gone.

01:37:21.580 I mean, we had to send him to Sierra Tucson.

01:37:24.900 And from there to, he went to Colorado, I mean, to climb to this facility that exercised to

01:37:34.700 get his leg back and all that.

01:37:36.060 Oh, his leg shut down.

01:37:37.540 That's like Eddie Money.

01:37:38.520 Not shut down totally, but he.

01:37:40.240 It was bad.

01:37:40.940 Yeah.

01:37:41.080 Yeah, Eddie Money used to huff so much gas that his leg shut down.

01:37:44.480 Yeah.

01:37:44.800 Well, then the next time, the worst was his oxygen level went down to 42 for 24 hours.

01:37:52.860 That's supposed to be in like 95 plus, 97 actually, 98.

01:37:58.700 The thing I put on your finger, right?

01:38:00.500 The doctor calls me in and says, if he wakes up, he's going to be brain dead.

01:38:05.260 Oh.

01:38:06.020 So I was just, I'm preparing you.

01:38:08.200 I swear to God, as I'm sitting here in front of you, he woke up, the whole family was there.

01:38:15.820 We thought he was, you know, we all came, everybody came from around the country.

01:38:20.680 It's a good, because we thought he was going to die right there.

01:38:22.560 He woke up. 0.99

01:38:23.760 He was completely fucking normal. 0.98

01:38:26.020 Wow. 0.99

01:38:26.880 Nothing wrong.

01:38:28.000 Did it shock you guys?

01:38:29.860 The doctor looked at me.

01:38:31.140 It shocked him.

01:38:32.120 He sat down. 1.00

01:38:33.340 Oh, damn. 0.99

01:38:33.740 He said, I've never seen anything like this in my life. 0.99

01:38:35.700 I'm happy for you, and I'm sorry that I gave you that.

01:38:39.600 Diagnosis.

01:38:40.540 No, I'm glad you did.

01:38:42.240 Because then we went and sat down and figured out how to attack it again.

01:38:45.940 Wow.

01:38:46.120 Well, this is after the leg thing.

01:38:48.520 Man, he was a fighter, huh?

01:38:49.720 Yeah.

01:38:50.380 You're kidding.

01:38:51.040 But I mean, to this day, when you go to the doctor, if your oxygen is at 42, you're not supposed to be functioning.

01:38:59.440 Yeah, you can't even whistle, dude.

01:39:00.840 Yeah.

01:39:01.540 And he woke up, he was completely fine.

01:39:04.360 He's a tough kid, huh?

01:39:05.740 And I went, my God, this has got to be, you know, like.

01:39:11.220 This will be the wake-up call.

01:39:12.420 Yeah.

01:39:12.740 And so I took him to Tokyo, and I got on a plane to go back.

01:39:17.520 I looked at him and said, let me tell you, they put Paul McCartney in jail here for smoking a joint.

01:39:22.200 They will bury you, and you're going to be very strict in Tokyo. 0.99

01:39:27.580 They don't fuck around like they do here with drugs. 0.99

01:39:31.440 You're in drugs in Tokyo or Singapore or something like that. 0.99

01:39:34.740 Yeah. 1.00

01:39:34.960 You're in a world of shit. 1.00

01:39:36.600 Man, he came back home to go to WrestleMania to see his daughter, see my daughter, and let him on my site, went to buy tennis shoes, came back, went through Del Frisco's to watch the NCAA. 1.00

01:39:54.820 He wasn't drinking or anything.

01:39:56.780 Bottle of pills fell out of his pocket.

01:39:58.360 Mm-hmm.

01:40:00.060 So Wendy picks up the pills, took it away, didn't even tell him I had it, right?

01:40:05.440 So he wants to go back to the hotel.

01:40:08.320 I go, go ahead.

01:40:09.140 So Wendy went with him.

01:40:10.800 So Wendy calls me and says, and I'm not going to read the door to get, like, aspirin or whatever, not Tylenol or something like that, right?

01:40:23.940 Yeah.

01:40:24.120 I had a headache.

01:40:25.420 And he didn't answer the door.

01:40:29.460 So I went right back, right?

01:40:32.080 This is what this is like all in 45-minute time, right?

01:40:35.420 Right.

01:40:35.840 Yeah, you're at Del Frisco's.

01:40:36.720 You hear that, you head back.

01:40:37.580 I open the door, he's like this.

01:40:41.500 Just sit in a chair?

01:40:42.680 No, sit on the floor.

01:40:43.860 Okay.

01:40:44.660 So I didn't see any needles.

01:40:46.460 Mm-hmm.

01:40:47.460 So I thought, oh, God, he just, I've seen him like this a thousand times.

01:40:51.520 So I said, do I call the police?

01:40:53.180 The same thing, the same thing?

01:40:55.520 I said, no, I'm going to put him in bed.

01:40:57.940 Because we were so lucky he didn't make the news because the cops kept it loaded on a DL for me.

01:41:04.160 They put him in rooms under a different name.

01:41:08.040 Right.

01:41:08.460 They were helpful.

01:41:08.880 They were helpful.

01:41:09.320 They were understanding.

01:41:10.360 Yes.

01:41:10.820 Great guys.

01:41:11.880 They pulled him out of his car one time and called me.

01:41:15.320 I mean, so I had a really great rapport with them.

01:41:19.100 So I just said, I'll just let him, I said, but this time I said, I'm going to let him bottom out.

01:41:25.260 I mean, that's, they keep that, that word bottom out, you know.

01:41:28.660 Yeah.

01:41:29.020 I just couldn't imagine him dying in an alley somewhere because I let him bottom out.

01:41:36.660 Right.

01:41:36.960 I mean, how would I ever get over that?

01:41:38.320 Really hard.

01:41:38.940 So I wake up in the morning and go out, coffee with my oldest daughter, come back. 1.00

01:41:44.360 And I just said, fuck, I'm so fucking mad at him right now. 0.99

01:41:46.760 I'm not going to wake up. 1.00

01:41:47.540 I opened the fucking door just to check on him, which I just, I even walked out halfway. 0.99

01:41:52.320 I said, shit, I'm just going to check on him. 1.00

01:41:54.640 I can't just leave him. 1.00

01:41:56.420 Walked in, he was purple shit. 1.00

01:41:58.800 Called the cops. 1.00

01:42:00.220 Same two, same crew, same exact people, same paramedics.

01:42:05.760 Boom.

01:42:07.280 And the guy said, Rick, you can say the same thing he's telling him.

01:42:09.960 We'll stand outside.

01:42:11.660 He came out three minutes and said he didn't make it.

01:42:15.120 I said, what?

01:42:18.080 He said he didn't make it this time, Rick.

01:42:21.220 Man.

01:42:23.180 Well, I've told this story a hundred times, but I can't.

01:42:26.700 It still kills me.

01:42:27.640 I started drinking from 10 in the morning.

01:42:31.440 Hell, I got there at 9.30 because I knew the bartenders while they were setting up. 0.99

01:42:36.240 9.30 in the morning until 2 a.m. for five fucking years. 0.99

01:42:42.460 I just couldn't believe it. 0.99

01:42:46.360 Say if you don't go drink right then, why do you think you had to go, like, just?

01:42:50.720 I don't.

01:42:51.420 It's the only way to get away from it.

01:42:53.500 I didn't take drugs.

01:42:54.360 How do you get away from the feeling that you're responsible for not calling?

01:43:01.680 I should have called.

01:43:06.120 It's hard.

01:43:07.720 I'm sure it's really hard to be the parent of someone that has an addiction.

01:43:12.200 What did you learn about addiction, like watching your son?

01:43:15.460 Was there anything that you were able to learn about, like watching it from, you know?

01:43:19.040 Yeah, don't be in denial.

01:43:23.200 I'm worse than Fritz von Aries.

01:43:25.600 Fritz was in denial of the boys. 0.96

01:43:28.300 He would not believe that they were getting high, that they were screwed up all the time. 0.94

01:43:34.540 He was in denial. 0.71

01:43:35.440 Oh, it's just, you guys are just imagining it.

01:43:39.520 Kerry threw the discus 210 feet at Houston.

01:43:42.920 I mean, you know that big, deep voice?

01:43:45.280 Yeah.

01:43:45.920 The boys are fine.

01:43:47.160 They're just growing up and having a little fun, smoking a little weed.

01:43:51.540 Like, they were a lot more than that.

01:43:54.340 But.

01:43:55.840 Do you think addiction just runs in y'all's family?

01:43:58.520 Well, I don't know.

01:43:58.860 Your other children, do they suffer from it?

01:44:00.320 No, no.

01:44:01.080 Nothing.

01:44:01.300 Yeah.

01:44:01.760 Hmm.

01:44:02.600 I don't know how he got it.

01:44:04.420 I mean, it's heartbreaking to witness.

01:44:05.800 I've lost a lot of friends from addiction, and it is heartbreaking to watch, you know?

01:44:09.980 So I can only imagine what it's like.

01:44:11.920 What was your son like?

01:44:12.820 Like, what kind of guy was he?

01:44:14.740 The greatest kid in the world.

01:44:17.020 Fun, handsome.

01:44:22.900 I mean, I don't talk about somebody. 0.94

01:44:25.220 He was a lady killer, man. 0.99

01:44:29.160 He lived with me for a while. 0.69

01:44:32.420 Well, after I got divorced the last time.

01:44:34.420 And he would call me and say, Dad, will you do me a favor?

01:44:39.660 And I said, what's happened to me?

01:44:41.600 Will you talk to this girl's friend while I'm?

01:44:44.460 Go ahead.

01:44:45.340 Will you run?

01:44:45.960 Will you wingman for me?

01:44:47.620 Yeah.

01:44:48.980 He used to bring somebody to come get her out.

01:44:53.320 I'll watch TV, but get the friend out of here. 0.99

01:44:56.660 I can't even have a conversation with her.

01:45:00.480 Jesus Christ.

01:45:01.640 Did you have to really talk to some strange friends?

01:45:04.480 I'll tell you something.

01:45:05.300 This is, if you can find humor in this, is I'm standing up there.

01:45:11.420 Let's say there were 1,500 people at the funeral.

01:45:14.560 Maybe 2,000.

01:45:16.460 A huge church in Charlotte.

01:45:18.200 Whatever it held.

01:45:20.140 And there were 20 girls in the first two rows I didn't know. 0.99

01:45:23.680 Wow.

01:45:25.840 Man.

01:45:26.280 I would take them down to South Carolina to Columbia to go to the Gamecock game.

01:45:32.460 I said, well, I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.

01:45:35.660 He'd come home with a different girl driving home the next day, every day.

01:45:40.460 Like father, like son, huh?

01:45:41.420 He was the master, man.

01:45:42.700 Yeah.

01:45:43.380 Yeah.

01:45:43.920 And he's.

01:45:45.960 Do you think he felt like it was tough to live?

01:45:47.920 I mean, I just wonder what it's like if your dad is so, such a, has had such a unique life, you know?

01:45:56.080 Do you, I wonder if you, do you feel competitive?

01:45:57.980 Do you feel, or it's just life.

01:45:59.820 That's just life.

01:46:01.000 I think I say it's just life because the other kids aren't affected like that at all.

01:46:04.240 Yeah.

01:46:05.580 Ashley, Ashley, Ashley, I can imagine maybe once in her life smoked a cigarette when she was 10 years old or 20. 0.98

01:46:13.980 I mean, nothing.

01:46:16.120 Nothing.

01:46:16.520 And she's around a lot.

01:46:17.780 I mean, it's not as prevalent as it was, which is a big difference.

01:46:21.420 Thank God.

01:46:22.380 What, drugs aren't as prevalent now?

01:46:23.560 No, there is prevalent, but not where the guys can just grab me.

01:46:27.420 They're more aware.

01:46:28.800 Yeah. 1.00

01:46:29.200 For some reason, thank God, everybody's aware of the fact that the shit is dangerous. 1.00

01:46:35.780 Yes. 0.99

01:46:36.120 And we didn't have time to think about back then.

01:46:39.420 Yeah.

01:46:39.860 The guys didn't.

01:46:41.080 If it made you look bigger, if it kept you up longer, but at least they have three days

01:46:45.540 off.

01:46:46.020 We didn't have days off.

01:46:47.740 That's Hulk.

01:46:49.240 Hulk was on, it wasn't just me.

01:46:52.260 Hulk was out 72 days at a time.

01:46:54.520 Wow.

01:46:54.980 It's a long time to be away from home.

01:46:56.760 Oh, I can't imagine.

01:46:57.720 Yeah.

01:46:58.120 You come home, people look different. 1.00

01:46:59.240 The worst thing that ever happened was they invented cell phones so your goddamn wife 1.00

01:47:02.800 would call you. 1.00

01:47:04.900 Jesus.

01:47:06.880 What's that song?

01:47:08.300 Kid Rock and Cheryl Crow sing.

01:47:11.940 Living a life in a slow hell.

01:47:14.220 Yeah.

01:47:15.080 Different girl every night at the hotel.

01:47:18.540 Yeah.

01:47:19.700 Woo-woo. 0.89

01:47:20.240 I used to call the front desk and say, if anybody calls to me, I ain't here.

01:47:27.680 Hey, my friend.

01:47:28.280 I am an alias.

01:47:31.000 My friend Larry.

01:47:31.780 Let's ask for Tony Atlas.

01:47:33.620 There's a comedian.

01:47:35.060 There's a comedian named Larry Reeb.

01:47:37.220 Yeah.

01:47:37.520 He used to have this joke.

01:47:38.620 One of my favorite jokes, he said, my wife said, never answer the phone during sex.

01:47:43.620 I said, what if it's you calling? 1.00

01:47:45.160 That's good shit. 0.99

01:47:50.600 I always love that one, man. 1.00

01:47:52.240 Did any strange woman ever show back up at your house? 1.00

01:47:55.300 Oh, that had to freaking be scary, huh?

01:47:56.920 Oh, God.

01:47:56.960 Are you kidding me?

01:47:57.600 You drove up in the driveway.

01:47:59.760 I have no idea who you are.

01:48:02.200 What do you mean?

01:48:03.040 You promised me last night. 1.00

01:48:04.980 I didn't promise you shit. 1.00

01:48:06.760 Now my kids and my wife's in the front yard. 1.00

01:48:11.260 Never admit you're wrong.

01:48:12.360 What happened?

01:48:13.000 Nothing.

01:48:13.380 I found black hair on the carpet in here.

01:48:17.120 I said, what are you talking about?

01:48:19.020 Tony had a dog over here.

01:48:22.000 This is human hair.

01:48:24.160 Who'd you have here?

01:48:25.500 Who'd you have here?

01:48:27.020 Nobody.

01:48:27.940 Somebody had a dog with 11-inch hair over here?

01:48:33.700 You're like, I think it was a long-haired child.

01:48:35.840 Yeah.

01:48:36.660 What are we going to do, you know?

01:48:39.780 Oh, man.

01:48:40.440 By the way, I'll have you.

01:48:41.680 I'll call them, please.

01:48:42.680 You told me you loved me.

01:48:44.940 What are you talking about?

01:48:46.540 I didn't know your name.

01:48:49.100 You lied.

01:48:51.680 Maybe I did.

01:48:53.120 What?

01:48:56.760 What about the product, man?

01:48:58.360 So this is new.

01:49:00.380 Ric Flair.

01:49:01.380 I like it, man.

01:49:02.080 It makes me feel good.

01:49:03.200 It does.

01:49:04.140 Have we drank enough to get...

01:49:05.900 Oh, you did?

01:49:07.560 I'm almost done.

01:49:08.420 Are you alert? 0.99

01:49:08.880 Oh, I'm fucking alert, bro. 0.98

01:49:11.340 Yeah. 0.97

01:49:13.580 I can leave you another can for round, too.

01:49:15.900 Dude, I'll have another can, dude.

01:49:17.440 Hell yeah. 0.94

01:49:17.940 It almost makes you feel erect a little. 0.55

01:49:21.400 Wow.

01:49:24.360 What's the toughest thing about getting older, Ric?

01:49:27.720 About getting older?

01:49:28.700 Yeah.

01:49:28.940 What's been like one thing that surprised you that you didn't think would be that certain

01:49:32.060 way or something that's been kind of interesting?

01:49:34.640 You know, it's interesting for me.

01:49:35.560 My dad was 70 when I was born.

01:49:38.120 So it's all like even just getting to sit around a man who's 70 and be in the present.

01:49:44.080 It's just, you know, it's almost like, I don't know, it's just interesting for me.

01:49:47.660 You know, I never got to spend a bunch of time talking with my dad and stuff.

01:49:50.340 So even to be able to have a conversation as an adult with a guy in his 70s kind of like

01:49:54.560 resonates with me in like a special place, I think.

01:49:58.500 What's, yeah, what's been interesting about just being older?

01:50:00.940 Like what's, or what's been surprising about getting older?

01:50:03.020 What, what do you think would not be one way or maybe would be different or?

01:50:07.640 Um, I don't know.

01:50:10.380 I don't think I even ever thought about anything like that until I got sick.

01:50:15.360 Then you really appreciate, you appreciate when you recover from something like that.

01:50:22.360 I mean, the airplane crash was one thing, getting there with lightning was something

01:50:26.540 else, but when you literally are life support and you almost die.

01:50:30.360 Yeah.

01:50:31.100 And then you realize that for some reason you're lucky enough to be, and I truly believe that

01:50:37.760 he makes every decision.

01:50:39.740 He's going to give you another shot. 0.99

01:50:41.460 But I spend so much time preoccupied with trying to figure out how not to fuck up. 0.99

01:50:49.720 Really? 0.99

01:50:50.600 Yeah. 0.99

01:50:50.940 Because I love to fuck up. 0.99

01:50:53.140 Yeah. 0.99

01:50:53.740 I mean, I love to have fun. 0.98

01:50:55.180 I don't mean, I don't mean fuck up. 0.99

01:50:56.780 Right. 0.99

01:50:57.120 I don't want to hurt anybody.

01:50:58.320 Right.

01:50:58.660 But how do I, how do I have fun and not get in trouble?

01:51:00.980 Well, well, it's just because social media, you can't do anything.

01:51:05.260 Yeah.

01:51:05.700 And I love to go out and I like, I never, I never drink at my house.

01:51:09.820 There's not a one drop of alcohol in my house.

01:51:12.140 I'm a social drinker.

01:51:14.920 That's purely me.

01:51:16.320 Yeah.

01:51:16.920 So, and I just go out every night.

01:51:19.360 You know, people don't understand when you do, when you spend 38 years on the road, like

01:51:24.000 Kevin Nash said to me one time, if I don't spend two nights in a hotel every week, I'm

01:51:29.800 lost.

01:51:30.200 No, no, I mean, I, when I took that year off and Bischoff sued me.

01:51:37.160 Yeah.

01:51:37.620 And I went home.

01:51:38.520 I hadn't been home.

01:51:39.740 I hadn't been home and didn't even know my wife.

01:51:42.800 Christ, my mother-in-law live there now. 1.00

01:51:44.260 We had two maids. 0.95

01:51:45.200 I didn't even know it.

01:51:47.320 What the fancy days I'm drinking.

01:51:49.060 Yeah.

01:51:50.120 Three o'clock at the country club.

01:51:52.060 Sometimes at one.

01:51:53.340 Wow.

01:51:54.420 What are you going to the country club?

01:51:55.460 I'm not playing cards.

01:51:56.540 I'm drinking.

01:51:57.120 Yeah.

01:51:57.380 And I'm talking to the bartender.

01:51:59.920 She's nice looking. 0.99

01:52:02.340 I'm playing poker with my liver.

01:52:04.080 That's what I'm playing.

01:52:04.960 It's pasta night.

01:52:06.120 Send the kids up. 0.99

01:52:09.260 Dude, I remember my dad used to take us to the bar and they'd have like that bowl of fucking 0.99

01:52:14.200 peanuts. 0.99

01:52:15.060 Oh, I know. 1.00

01:52:15.940 Fucking man. 0.99

01:52:16.780 It was so much fun, dude. 1.00

01:52:18.460 And that's when bars didn't even have TVs in.

01:52:20.380 I remember that.

01:52:22.100 That, that I can't deal with.

01:52:24.400 No TV, no bar, no me.

01:52:26.320 These days you got to have the TV.

01:52:27.620 You want the sports on?

01:52:29.400 I live and die for sports.

01:52:30.960 But you remember when they didn't have them, don't you?

01:52:32.680 Yeah.

01:52:32.900 You want to know something?

01:52:33.640 Yeah.

01:52:34.560 I never knew.

01:52:36.540 This is the guy's on.

01:52:37.520 I'm so embarrassed.

01:52:38.940 I didn't know what Prime, Netflix, Hulu.

01:52:44.000 I didn't know what that was until, until I got sick.

01:52:51.180 I didn't know how to Google myself.

01:52:53.020 Yeah.

01:52:53.620 I didn't know what Google was.

01:52:54.560 All I did was drive, travel, wrestle, and have fun.

01:53:02.520 I didn't know anything.

01:53:03.920 Wow.

01:53:04.100 I'm still not computer literate.

01:53:06.080 She showed me the other day how to work emojis on my phone.

01:53:09.200 Wow.

01:53:10.000 I mean, I'm, and then when I'm laying in the chair, home from the hospital, I didn't,

01:53:17.400 after being in rehab for a month, learn how to walk.

01:53:20.040 I didn't know that I had a stoma.

01:53:24.020 What'd you think?

01:53:24.920 One day, one day I'm sitting there, I'm home in the house, and the girl comes and said,

01:53:29.900 I'm here to change your bag.

01:53:33.000 And I said, my bag. 0.51

01:53:34.160 What do you mean, jerk it off? 0.98

01:53:34.780 My first day. 0.99

01:53:35.480 No, this.

01:53:36.560 Oh, that's what, yeah.

01:53:37.580 Yeah, and I go, and I said, I said, I didn't, well, I'm in rehab, because I couldn't walk

01:53:45.720 or anything.

01:53:46.540 Oh.

01:53:47.360 And they're there, and I had forgotten.

01:53:50.440 I didn't know, I didn't know I had a stoma in rehab.

01:53:54.500 The whole time you were in rehab?

01:53:55.880 Yeah, I didn't know it for 31 days.

01:53:58.440 Then I got home, and the woman's there to change it. 1.00

01:54:01.820 Wow.

01:54:02.560 Yeah, that's all about that.

01:54:03.840 Then.

01:54:04.460 You were out of it.

01:54:05.220 Then you appreciate life.

01:54:07.380 Yeah.

01:54:08.340 Was it hard to go back to drink?

01:54:09.720 Well, then, were you shocked that you just, after that 30, after the days in rehab, that

01:54:13.160 you went back to drinking?

01:54:14.240 Is it scary?

01:54:14.880 Like, is it bad for you to drink?

01:54:16.660 Like, is it, did the doctors say don't drink?

01:54:21.740 I mean, also, the doctor was in the facility, so.

01:54:25.340 Oh, they said don't drink.

01:54:26.660 Of course, they did.

01:54:27.420 Okay.

01:54:27.800 But here's the deal.

01:54:28.800 Yeah.

01:54:29.040 So, being from a medical family, I went, I didn't get one second opinion.

01:54:36.620 I got 30.

01:54:37.580 Okay.

01:54:38.120 Every time I met a doctor that knew anything about your internal, I'd had prior surgeries

01:54:45.960 in 2015, and it's one in one million times that you can nick your intestine, and it can

01:54:55.760 burst again.

01:54:56.360 And I was in that one million.

01:55:00.380 So, now, when I drink, my kidney levels, everything's perfect, and my kidney levels are off a little

01:55:06.520 bit, the doctor tells me, drink more water.

01:55:09.400 So, now I drink, for every drink, I drink a small bottle of water.

01:55:12.360 Nice.

01:55:13.220 You got a plan now.

01:55:14.260 Got a plan.

01:55:14.760 What do you think God put you on earth for?

01:55:18.020 Do you think about that sometimes?

01:55:19.400 It seems like you do.

01:55:22.540 I don't know, but I'm sure trying to mend my ways.

01:55:26.440 I'm a wild, I was a wild son of it.

01:55:29.140 I still am.

01:55:30.640 I'm harmless, but I was a wild son of it.

01:55:34.360 Harmless, but wild.

01:55:36.420 I'm harmless.

01:55:37.020 I've been neutered twice.

01:55:41.660 With nurses that did not sign the waiver.

01:55:45.280 I wonder how many of them run around on that.

01:55:46.960 We thought, we thought, we thought.

01:55:50.600 What wrestler had that real hammer on him? 0.91

01:55:52.640 They didn't know homo, but what wrestler really had that freaking wand on him, huh? 0.99

01:55:56.900 You know, I don't remember. 0.96

01:55:57.960 Somebody had to have that launcher.

01:55:59.240 I mean, you've been around some of the biggest men in the world.

01:56:07.120 Yeah, I know.

01:56:07.700 I'm trying to think.

01:56:10.180 I mean, what about Haystack, baby?

01:56:12.560 Oh, I want a new Haystack, no, no.

01:56:15.860 He might have had that needle on him.

01:56:17.820 Yeah, I got the name, but I don't want to put it on the air.

01:56:20.100 Yeah, no sweat.

01:56:21.060 Yeah, yeah.

01:56:21.580 I got it.

01:56:23.600 No, I don't even have to know.

01:56:25.320 I don't even have to know.

01:56:25.340 Because I, he's married with kids.

01:56:32.120 No, look, I'm just glad somebody's got a big one.

01:56:34.560 I tease his wife all the time. 0.67

01:56:36.500 Oh.

01:56:37.940 Yeah, when you see one of those joust victims like his wife, that's got to be unreal.

01:56:41.320 Yeah, but she wouldn't like me making a joke about it.

01:56:43.600 No, I don't think we should.

01:56:45.140 I'm not trying to get it out of here.

01:56:45.980 This will be the front page out of the whole interview. 1.00

01:56:49.660 Ric Flair says, damn her. 1.00

01:56:52.700 No, look, I remember, but there's something about you, you know, because most of your 1.00

01:56:57.160 life, you get to know your own wiener, right?

01:56:58.700 Yeah.

01:56:59.180 And then every now and then, somebody walks across with some real crazy wiener, and you're 0.99

01:57:03.420 like, my God, that guy's fucking running a different ball game. 0.99

01:57:08.200 That guy's in a different line of work. 1.00

01:57:10.360 Different genetic. 1.00

01:57:11.700 Yeah, that guy's fucking, that guy's in a different line of work. 0.99

01:57:15.720 Boys, any other questions that you had? 1.00

01:57:17.600 Biz, anything?

01:57:18.560 The last match.

01:57:19.380 I saw your last match in Nashville.

01:57:20.800 Yeah.

01:57:21.100 Oh, that's right.

01:57:21.560 I dehydrated, man.

01:57:23.420 It would have been so good.

01:57:25.700 Yeah, were you, what do you mean?

01:57:26.680 You were dehydrated for it?

01:57:28.360 No, I was fixated on weighing 218 pounds.

01:57:30.780 I was in better shape then than I was in 2008.

01:57:34.840 I mean, I was up there.

01:57:35.840 I woke where I'm going right now to John Cena's trainer.

01:57:37.900 Mm-hmm.

01:57:38.660 500 free squats.

01:57:40.220 Wow.

01:57:40.700 Running a mile, and I hate running.

01:57:43.220 This is two years ago.

01:57:44.520 A year ago, July.

01:57:45.740 Wow.

01:57:47.820 A year ago, July.

01:57:48.700 And I had 10 weeks to get in shape for it, and I was doing everything.

01:57:54.640 I mean, and I had a partner, and I drove, I drove, that's why I'm going right now to Rob,

01:58:00.620 John Cena's guy up there at Land O'Lakes.

01:58:02.520 Mm-hmm.

01:58:02.820 I mean, and we've, but I was fixated on, I got down to 218, but a cosmetic, I'm a nightmare

01:58:13.300 anyway, so I was going to wear a shirt.

01:58:15.280 But I woke up in the morning, and of course, I was drinking the night before at the Palm

01:58:20.900 with the Hilton in Nashville, right?

01:58:22.380 I love that bar.

01:58:23.200 Yeah, it's nice.

01:58:23.940 And then I saw Bobby, you know, one night.

01:58:28.300 So.

01:58:29.240 Bobby Rock, Kid Rock?

01:58:30.500 Yeah.

01:58:30.820 Yeah.

01:58:31.720 And then he came in the match.

01:58:33.160 Oh, yeah.

01:58:33.720 He walked in my dressing room, and he went, I've been entertaining you for a long time.

01:58:38.980 I didn't want you to, I came to watch you entertain me tonight.

01:58:41.320 And then we all went to his place afterwards.

01:58:43.640 Yeah.

01:58:44.080 We had a big night.

01:58:44.940 It's fun in there, dude.

01:58:45.820 Yeah.

01:58:46.540 Yeah.

01:58:46.740 He's got to get a bathroom on each floor, though, man.

01:58:49.240 That's a good point, huh?

01:58:49.880 That's a good point, man.

01:58:52.140 Jesus Christ. 1.00

01:58:52.960 You could buy a fucking bathroom. 1.00

01:58:54.040 That five, five-floor climb downstairs to one stall when they got 2,000 people, it's 1.00

01:58:59.800 horrifying.

01:59:00.700 Yeah.

01:59:00.720 Oh, God.

01:59:01.320 It makes me want to get one of those stoma bags.

01:59:02.920 You know what I'm saying?

01:59:04.000 Yeah.

01:59:04.520 Well, no, don't worry about that.

01:59:06.480 But anyway, so all I had was two cups of coffee and three egg bites.

01:59:13.580 I didn't drink any water or anything.

01:59:15.180 Oh.

01:59:15.920 And I got out there, and I felt great and all that.

01:59:18.440 And then I realized that anxiety, and I made a mistake of saying to one of the guys, I don't

01:59:25.100 feel good.

01:59:25.980 Of course, now they think I'm having a heart attack.

01:59:29.000 Yeah.

01:59:29.240 Or da-da-da-da. 0.79

01:59:31.080 And I just, I don't feel it.

01:59:32.580 I got lightheaded.

01:59:34.020 I actually fell asleep on the apron.

01:59:37.720 I'm standing, right?

01:59:39.260 Oh, yeah.

01:59:40.320 Yeah.

01:59:41.100 During the match?

01:59:41.760 And the guy had to go, Rick, Rick, Rick.

01:59:44.600 And I woke up, and then I got back in.

01:59:46.480 And then I did something else, and I'm laying there.

01:59:48.920 And at the end, Manny, my son-in-law, was going, you have to wake up, sir.

01:59:56.140 I have to wake up, sir.

01:59:57.380 He was handing me the brass knucks to hit Jarrett with, right?

02:00:01.580 So he put the brass knucks on my hand.

02:00:05.780 And you have to wake up, sir.

02:00:08.960 You have to wake up, sir.

02:00:11.480 Boom.

02:00:12.700 But, you know, I went off the floor.

02:00:14.600 I got whacked myself way too early.

02:00:17.140 And then because everybody was panicking, to end it, right,

02:00:21.680 I had faked like I was having a heart attack.

02:00:23.540 I went, ah, just because I want everybody. 1.00

02:00:26.220 I said, slow down, motherfuckers. 1.00

02:00:27.680 We can do this. 1.00

02:00:29.720 I mean, I can make it.

02:00:31.140 Just listen to me.

02:00:32.320 But, you know, everybody, first of all, I appreciate they were scared to death

02:00:36.940 I was going to die, okay?

02:00:39.800 But I wanted the match to be better because we rehearsed it to be a 20-minute.

02:00:45.920 Unbelievable. 0.99

02:00:47.140 They were supposed to suplex me off the top rope and all kinds of shit. 0.96

02:00:50.800 But anyway, that's what makes me want to do it again because I got in such good shape. 0.92

02:00:56.420 And it's like I'm really goal-oriented.

02:00:59.280 Like now my new goal is like I'll be 75, right, in February.

02:01:04.440 So I want to bench press 225 five times.

02:01:08.200 And I want to do the 500 free squats in 14 minutes again.

02:01:14.160 Wow.

02:01:14.600 Yeah.

02:01:15.060 That's a lot.

02:01:15.800 Yeah.

02:01:17.560 It's very doable.

02:01:19.020 But you have to do it.

02:01:21.340 No.

02:01:21.700 That might be one of the best quotes I've ever heard.

02:01:26.580 It's very doable.

02:01:28.100 But you have to do it.

02:01:29.280 Yeah.

02:01:29.580 I used to be able to do when I was really in the best shape of my life.

02:01:32.940 I used to take a deck of cards.

02:01:35.120 Joker's being 20.

02:01:37.240 Face card.

02:01:38.640 Aces?

02:01:39.420 Ace, king, queen, or 10, right?

02:01:41.600 So flip the card, right?

02:01:44.940 10 crunches, 10 push-ups, 10 free squats.

02:01:48.460 Next one, Joker, 20.

02:01:50.800 Wow.

02:01:51.240 I could do all that.

02:01:52.680 It's 457 of each in 38 minutes, my record.

02:02:01.520 That's hard.

02:02:03.640 Because getting up and down for the free squats and the push-ups, 0.98

02:02:06.840 457 push-ups is fucking hard. 0.98

02:02:09.440 That's a lot. 0.99

02:02:10.240 Yeah.

02:02:10.460 Jesus, that's a lot.

02:02:11.760 Yeah.

02:02:13.360 That's okay.

02:02:14.080 I couldn't do that for the last match.

02:02:16.760 But in my-

02:02:18.180 In your prime?

02:02:19.040 Well, trying to- 1.00

02:02:19.920 You know, when you're traveling these shit towns, right? 0.99

02:02:22.680 They don't even have a YMCA. 0.99

02:02:24.580 Oh, yeah.

02:02:25.220 Some of these small towns.

02:02:26.200 So I just sat in a hotel room and had to figure out a way to kill the day.

02:02:30.160 So there's other, you know what I mean?

02:02:33.780 Who's somebody you miss wrestling?

02:02:35.940 Who do I miss wrestling?

02:02:37.160 Yeah.

02:02:37.420 Well, the biggest thing I miss about wrestling is the camaraderie.

02:02:41.800 God, when you just-

02:02:42.600 No, who personally?

02:02:43.440 Like, is there a person you met that you were like, man, we really-

02:02:46.180 It was just a real-

02:02:48.480 Oh, I miss Aaron the most, probably.

02:02:51.040 He just lost a son, too.

02:02:53.580 To addiction or no?

02:02:54.640 I'm not sure what it was, but it's a horrible thing.

02:03:00.440 Yeah.

02:03:03.260 I just had it up.

02:03:04.380 I traveled with so many wonderful guys.

02:03:05.780 I traveled with Sean and Hunter.

02:03:08.200 I love hanging out with Undertaker, and I don't get to see him very often.

02:03:12.360 I love Steve Austin.

02:03:13.460 I hardly get to see Steve.

02:03:14.420 Steve just keeps himself in basically isolation.

02:03:21.280 Yeah, Undertaker came out to a show of mine a week and a half ago, two weeks ago in Austin.

02:03:24.640 Oh, yeah.

02:03:25.120 It was really nice to meet him, and Michelle, that's his wife.

02:03:27.220 Yeah, beautiful.

02:03:28.040 Yeah, she's beautiful. 0.87

02:03:28.960 They just adopted a beautiful little baby.

02:03:31.820 Oh, really?

02:03:32.440 Yeah.

02:03:33.000 Oh, I didn't know that.

02:03:33.680 Yeah.

02:03:34.400 Yeah, they're a great couple.

02:03:35.320 They were so kind.

02:03:36.260 Yeah, he's a great guy.

02:03:37.720 That was cool.

02:03:40.580 Did you ever get to meet Madonna?

02:03:44.680 No, but Dennis Rodman did.

02:03:46.560 Dennis is my man.

02:03:47.540 How in the hell do you cheat on Madonna for Carmen Electra?

02:03:54.320 I go, I mean, Dennis, I said, Dennis, Dennis, you realize that I would walk on fire to lay 0.56

02:04:01.580 on top of that, and you caught her.

02:04:05.800 I think Madonna is incredible.

02:04:07.480 Oh, yeah.

02:04:08.180 When she was younger, what's that song of hers?

02:04:10.000 Like a virgin?

02:04:10.740 Like a virgin.

02:04:11.620 Jesus Christ.

02:04:12.420 Like a virgin, dance, da-da, yeah. 0.99

02:04:14.660 With your heartbeat.

02:04:17.220 Next, dude.

02:04:17.960 I'll tell you this story, Rick.

02:04:19.160 So I met my grandparents, right, dude? 0.99

02:04:22.080 And they wouldn't let us watch wrestling or nothing, dude, because they were fucking, you 1.00

02:04:26.580 know, they wanted the Lord to find us. 0.95

02:04:29.300 And so I would go across.

02:04:31.020 On the Lord's Day.

02:04:32.200 That's what my mother-in-law would say to my wife, they're drinking again out by the pool. 1.00

02:04:42.300 And on the Lord's Day, kiss my ass, Mary Ann. 1.00

02:04:46.500 The Lord's Day. 1.00

02:04:48.120 Every day's the Lord's Day, especially you freeloader living off me.

02:04:53.180 That's the bottom line, baby.

02:04:55.540 Freeloader.

02:04:56.240 Yeah.

02:04:57.560 On the Lord's Day. 1.00

02:05:00.260 Shoot him, mama. 1.00

02:05:01.140 Shoot him, booze. 1.00

02:05:04.120 Yeah. 1.00

02:05:04.980 Oh, God.

02:05:06.140 Dude, that would make a guy drink.

02:05:09.380 Oh, yeah.

02:05:10.060 That probably started it.

02:05:11.320 Jesus Christ.

02:05:13.060 Gosh.

02:05:13.400 We used to pack the beer cans up, me and Aaron, right, to tell stories, laugh all day long.

02:05:20.600 I went across the street.

02:05:21.820 I met my grandparents.

02:05:22.520 So I go across the street.

02:05:23.200 There's nothing to do.

02:05:23.820 They live in, they were in a small town in Illinois, in Wyoming, Illinois.

02:05:27.200 So I go across the street and there's a park there.

02:05:29.620 Yeah.

02:05:29.700 And some girl, I'd never known her or anything.

02:05:32.400 She had a transistor radio.

02:05:34.500 She plugged it in and tuned it to like a virgin, right?

02:05:38.520 Yeah.

02:05:38.700 And she starts dancing on this picnic table for me.

02:05:42.460 And I'd never met her or anything.

02:05:43.860 I'm just like, I'm like probably nine or 10.

02:05:45.840 I walked into the park.

02:05:47.320 Yeah, I thought she was incredible. 1.00

02:05:48.700 What big stars came out to see you?

02:05:51.200 I was trying to think of some of the big stars then that were some of the biggest in the world

02:05:57.220 and who you would have crossed paths with that would have been surprising.

02:05:59.580 Not that many.

02:06:02.180 I mean, I'll tell you, I adore Chris Everett, right?

02:06:07.200 Yeah.

02:06:07.600 So I'm flying to Japan and I'm sitting this far from Chris Everett.

02:06:13.480 She's wearing a yellow polo shirt, right?

02:06:16.980 Gold Rolex.

02:06:18.920 This is in the 80s, smoking hot, right?

02:06:21.220 Oh, God.

02:06:21.960 And I mean, not a word.

02:06:28.180 I'm not going to go over and shoot myself and die, right?

02:06:33.020 She didn't give you a sign?

02:06:34.320 Nothing.

02:06:35.020 Zero.

02:06:35.920 Zero.

02:06:37.260 Double O's.

02:06:38.960 But I flew back with Yvonne Lindell and he wouldn't stop talking.

02:06:42.220 Oh, God.

02:06:42.960 Jesus Christ.

02:06:45.260 Yvonne, get a drink.

02:06:46.460 Calm down.

02:06:48.040 Yes, wrestling's fake.

02:06:49.540 Okay. 1.00

02:06:49.900 Now, motherfucker. 1.00

02:06:50.520 Can we move forward? 1.00

02:06:52.880 I live next to Florida Vincent, man.

02:06:54.560 Good for you, buddy.

02:06:56.100 Dude, I sat next to Eddie Money one time.

02:06:58.000 Yeah.

02:06:58.420 He told me he used to huff gas, right?

02:07:00.780 And so one of his legs shut down and quit working.

02:07:03.220 And then he started showing me semi-nude pictures of his newest wife.

02:07:07.100 Oh, God.

02:07:07.720 It's pretty cool.

02:07:08.700 Yeah.

02:07:10.220 I can't get my wife doing that. 1.00

02:07:12.900 Yeah.

02:07:14.060 Well.

02:07:15.240 No, she is like, uh-uh.

02:07:18.940 You look wild.

02:07:19.700 You got to respect it, you know?

02:07:21.540 I mean, what if I want to show you this, Rick?

02:07:24.020 So I have an alternate personality.

02:07:25.900 It's a wrestler, right?

02:07:26.900 And it's called the Rat King, baby.

02:07:28.740 So I just want to show you one of my promos.

02:07:30.120 Let me know what you think.

02:07:31.000 Okay.

02:07:31.240 And this isn't you, Rick.

02:07:33.880 This is a different guy.

02:07:34.840 What are your thoughts on that, Rat King?

02:07:35.920 You think you're better than the regular folk, Rick?

02:07:40.440 You think you're better than wrestling fans?

02:07:43.540 Than the regular people who run you out your little loose meat dinners?

02:07:47.840 Well, I got news for you, Rick.

02:07:53.260 What kind of news?

02:07:54.160 He is saying anyone can get it.

02:07:55.560 Will you be the one, Rat King?

02:07:57.080 All you need to know, Rick, is that I'm ready.

02:08:00.340 Because I'm going to give you the truth, baby.

02:08:03.020 And I'm going to give you the trauma.

02:08:05.900 Name the time and the place and the place and the time.

02:08:09.260 Because I got a clock and a globe and an axe to grind.

02:08:13.760 From Alaska to Nebraska.

02:08:16.180 From Maine to Fort Wayne. 0.92

02:08:19.840 It's your call, you turkey slicing boner monkey.

02:08:23.340 What do you think there?

02:08:26.220 Potential.

02:08:28.160 I'll take it, man.

02:08:29.380 You look good.

02:08:30.340 From a legend, I'll take it.

02:08:32.060 Rick, thanks so much for sharing your life with us, man.

02:08:34.560 You've been, it's obviously you've wanted to be an entertainer.

02:08:38.020 And you've been extremely entertaining throughout my entire life.

02:08:40.820 Thank you very much.

02:08:41.940 Appreciate it.

02:08:42.640 Yep.

02:08:43.660 You guys have a great trip.

02:08:46.380 Woo! 0.99

02:08:47.560 She's reminding me of my own gimmick.

02:08:50.020 Now I'm just floating on the breeze.

02:08:52.720 And I feel I'm falling like these leaves.

02:08:55.780 I must be cornerstone.

02:09:01.020 Oh, but when I reach that ground, I'll share this peace of mind I found.

02:09:06.500 I can feel it in my bones.

02:09:10.760 But it's going to take a little bit.
