00:00:30.000 Today's guest is one of the biggest content creators in the world.

00:00:34.200 He's an entrepreneur, a YouTube guru,

00:00:37.020 and he has created more energy and excitement

00:00:41.980 into the world of giving back than possibly anyone.

00:00:47.280 He has a new show called Beast Games,

00:00:50.020 where a record-breaking 1,000 people

00:00:52.580 compete for the largest prize in entertainment history, $5 million.

00:00:57.080 Grateful to finally catch up with the one and only Mr. Beast.

00:01:03.220 So is this, is it already started? We going?

00:01:22.380 Yeah, we'll start right now, man.

00:01:23.480 Let's do it.

00:01:24.060 Mr. Beast, Jimmy, nice to see you today.

00:01:26.140 Likewise.

00:01:26.800 Bro, that's awesome, man.

00:01:27.880 So Beast Games, that's the show.

00:01:29.700 Yeah.

00:01:30.080 So before this, we were showing on episode one of a show I have coming out December 19th.

00:01:34.760 What'd you think of it?

00:01:35.580 We watched it, and then he started talking, and his team was like, hit the cameras.

00:01:39.160 Like, wait, wait, wait.

00:01:39.920 Now I'm dying to know.

00:01:40.880 What'd you think?

00:01:41.680 Oh, I thought a lot of things, man.

00:01:43.740 First of all, I thought that you are obviously, you're this Wizard of Oz,

00:01:47.780 Willy Wonka, kind of William Wallace of finances type of energy going on.

00:01:55.400 Okay.

00:01:55.880 You know, there's a lot of that.

00:01:58.060 A lot, like, I've never seen a show where every,

00:02:01.580 I mean, a couple minutes, there's like another twist of possibility, right?

00:02:09.600 Yeah.

00:02:09.880 I kind of realized how many game shows are missing so many little elements in there

00:02:14.440 where they could manipulate the situation more or create more of an environment

00:02:18.840 for, like, competitors in the game to make choices that would affect them and others, you know?

00:02:24.920 Yeah, and, like, basically having layers and stuff like that.

00:02:27.680 But the big thing is no one's ever set up, like, that many cameras before

00:02:31.800 because it's a logistical nightmare.

00:02:33.240 So it's hard to do these kinds of things normally unscripted

00:02:37.060 because, like, you know, we had unfathomable amounts of footage,

00:02:41.060 like over 100 years of footage from that episode.

00:02:43.280 100 years of footage?

00:02:44.180 Yeah, because, I mean, we had to have over 100 people work on it and post.

00:02:47.780 So it's like to be able to do something at that scale,

00:02:50.460 even just, like, to set up the cameras and edit and everything is,

00:02:54.180 I mean, no one's ever done it before.

00:02:56.280 It's diabolical almost.

00:02:57.260 Yeah, you said there's a lot of world records that were broken

00:03:01.220 in the shooting of this series?

00:03:05.300 Yeah, 40 Guinness World Records.

00:03:06.640 Wow.

00:03:07.220 Yeah, we have, like, so many plaques now that we have up on our wall.

00:03:10.780 I'm basically making a wall out of Guinness plaques just from the show.

00:03:15.720 What are some of the records you guys broke?

00:03:18.220 Most contestants ever in a show, largest cash prize in a show,

00:03:21.180 most cameras recording at once in a show,

00:03:23.420 most people, which you saw.

00:03:25.520 Yeah.

00:03:26.340 And a show, like, most money given away in the first episode of a show.

00:03:29.540 Just, like, stuff like that.

00:03:30.540 Yeah.

00:03:30.860 Oh, that's the most people probably since 9-11, I would think.

00:03:33.440 Oh, my gosh.

00:03:35.080 We might have to take that out.

00:03:36.180 Yeah, and I shouldn't have said that.

00:03:38.840 I'll say something else. 0.96

00:03:40.280 Yeah, I haven't seen that many people f*** at the same time.

00:03:43.680 Wait, why was there a cut before you say what you're saying right now? 0.90

00:03:46.140 Huh?

00:03:46.440 Oh, there's just we needed something to just...

00:03:48.180 Oh, he had to use the bathroom.

00:03:50.240 Yeah.

00:03:50.500 Yeah.

00:03:51.420 Just had to use the...

00:03:52.420 Yeah, I had already soiled the conversation. 0.71

00:03:55.340 Oh, that's the most people f*** at once that I'd seen since... 0.54

00:03:59.000 Oh, since I was in the parking lot of a widespread panic concert, you know? 0.95

00:04:03.120 But that was LSD.

00:04:06.020 That kind of works a little.

00:04:07.320 Yeah, I think that's...

00:04:08.780 Honestly, you should keep the first one.

00:04:10.440 Okay, well, here we go, dude.

00:04:12.460 You said it, not me.

00:04:13.440 That's a great point.

00:04:14.420 You make the choices, man.

00:04:16.040 Yeah, do you feel like this wizard?

00:04:17.860 Because as I'm watching, I'm like, man, there's so many things.

00:04:20.940 I'm like, where does the motivation come from?

00:04:23.000 Is it to...

00:04:24.300 Do you get so much joy out of having the manipulation of the situation?

00:04:29.300 Is it giving away the money?

00:04:31.460 Because there's so many moments in the world where I'm watching people's feelings change.

00:04:35.520 What is it for you that...

00:04:37.400 Have you been able to figure out...

00:04:38.740 Because you've done so many of these types of competitions and opportunities for people, right?

00:04:45.160 Yeah.

00:04:45.660 I mean, the thing is, I feel like I'm motivated by a lot of things.

00:04:49.720 And these kinds of game shows, it's fun to create environments that have never been created for.

00:04:54.660 And just like, well, let's just see kind of what people do.

00:04:57.440 Like, a lot of that is just like mass behavioral psychology.

00:05:00.260 Like, if you offer someone money to eliminate other people, how much money would it take, you know?

00:05:05.600 So it's kind of a little bit of that.

00:05:07.560 But it's also, I just like making great content.

00:05:09.960 And I like making things you can't find anywhere else because it's just fun to see how the world reacts to it.

00:05:15.320 And so in this instance or in a lot of what we do, like we, one time we put, we just put a big circle on the ground.

00:05:22.040 We put a hundred people in it and we just were like, whoever leaves last gets half a million dollars.

00:05:25.920 And then it's just like, how long does it take?

00:05:28.200 Who's going to leave?

00:05:29.020 Like, those are the kinds of things I, like, personally am just curious on. 0.98

00:05:33.820 Like, what the fuck's going to happen, you know? 0.99

00:05:35.840 Yeah. 0.98

00:05:36.060 What's like one thing you've learned then about people's psychology?

00:05:38.740 Have you learned, or does it change a lot?

00:05:40.900 Like, have you learned, like, are there some general rules you've learned that people will, like, behave around money or that sort of thing?

00:05:47.260 Oh, yeah.

00:05:47.720 That's an interesting question.

00:05:49.040 And that's, I, honestly, I feel like people are a lot nicer than you would think.

00:05:57.680 Like, they're not as, they don't tend, and maybe it's because when we do it, they know the video is going to be seen by a hundred million people.

00:06:05.520 So, they're thinking of their personal image, but a lot of times I have given people the opportunity to, like, screw other people over for some money, and usually they don't take it.

00:06:14.320 Or they, like, push, like, it requires way more money than you would think, you know?

00:06:18.300 Like, someone who'd theoretically be making $30,000 a year, and you'd offer them 10 grand, but it means this other person gets eliminated or gets punished in the challenge.

00:06:26.320 And a lot of times, like, they'll say no, you know?

00:06:28.940 And I'm like, whoa, that's not an easy decision to make.

00:06:32.100 Like, there's some integrity here, you know?

00:06:34.200 Yeah, you mentioned that while we were taping that you were surprised by some people's integrity.

00:06:37.560 Exactly.

00:06:38.320 Especially during this show, like, I sometimes throw large, copious sums of money to eliminate other people, to, like, offer it to certain people, and they say no. 0.99

00:06:46.740 And I was always just like, what the fuck? 0.99

00:06:48.740 Wow. 1.00

00:06:49.080 This is crazy.

00:06:50.140 Is there one age group or gender group or any demographic you can give me on who it seems like after doing a lot of challenges where you've gotten to see some integrity?

00:07:00.300 No, it's pretty, this is 10 episodes.

00:07:03.740 If we watched it all, you would see.

00:07:05.280 There's 10 episodes of that?

00:07:05.800 Yeah, you would see that it's, like, pretty widespread across the board.

00:07:09.000 I mean, maybe the women. 1.00

00:07:11.340 I don't think a senior citizen, some seniors can't make it through that.

00:07:14.260 You saw that one 70-year-old, she passed, which is.

00:07:17.100 She passed away? 1.00

00:07:18.100 No, passed the challenge.

00:07:19.540 Oh, God.

00:07:20.320 I hope she doesn't pass away before the show airs.

00:07:23.040 That would be bad.

00:07:24.500 No, I don't think people, some seniors, I don't know if I would let one of my grandparents watch this.

00:07:28.780 Yeah.

00:07:28.980 Just the levels of.

00:07:30.380 Yeah, your heart beating.

00:07:31.340 There's a lot, yeah.

00:07:32.120 Yeah, that's what I was going for.

00:07:33.400 What I really wanted is, like, in my YouTube videos, sometimes people say they don't have enough emotion or they lack the storytelling or whatever.

00:07:40.480 And part of it is, like, it's just YouTube.

00:07:42.920 When you go to, like, a stream platform like Amazon Prime Video or Netflix, you're, like, sitting down to watch something, usually for, like, hours.

00:07:49.600 And you're, to watch, like, this longer story and show.

00:07:52.880 But when you go to YouTube, more than likely, like, you know, you're going there for a quicker hit.

00:07:57.200 You're not sitting down expecting to watch a 10-episode series.

00:08:00.240 Like, you're just clicking on videos and watching.

00:08:02.120 So content put up on YouTube is just different.

00:08:04.760 It's like, you know, series don't do as well.

00:08:07.000 And, you know, and so it's much easier to build characters and feel emotion over these 10 episodes, six hours of content than it is in a 20-minute video because you have, like, 10 minutes to build them up.

00:08:16.020 But then you've got to wind the story down because the video is going to end in 10 minutes.

00:08:18.600 You know what I mean?

00:08:19.240 So my big thing here was, like, I really wanted you to feel something.

00:08:23.060 And I wanted to, like, flex those muscles and, like, actually build characters and, like, give emotion and things like that.

00:08:29.580 You know, like, when we were watching that, even though I've already seen it, like, 100 times already, I could feel my heart pounding.

00:08:34.940 I mean, or it might have been the Celsius I was drinking.

00:08:36.720 I don't know.

00:08:37.080 But, like, I really could feel the emotion.

00:08:40.040 That's what I want.

00:08:40.800 Like, when people watch the show, I want them to have very intense feelings.

00:08:45.080 Yeah.

00:08:45.300 Oh, I mean, I definitely did, man.

00:08:47.480 And the interesting thing to me, too, is, like, a lot of times with game shows and it's the contestants that you start to get to know, right?

00:08:55.480 Yeah.

00:08:55.760 But with this, it's not the contestants.

00:08:57.740 Well, you will later on, but because there's 1,000 of them, first I got to, you know, lay down the hammer, ask, you know, 900 of them or whatever, and then we can build them up.

00:09:07.240 Ah, I see.

00:09:07.960 And I definitely learned why no one ever does stuff with 1,000 because that's the most contestants ever.

00:09:13.560 It's a lot to, like, just everything is, you know, 1,000 hotel rooms a night.

00:09:18.740 You know what I mean?

00:09:19.220 If the hotel room is $200, that's $200,000 a night and just hotel rooms and you're feeding them.

00:09:24.200 And even, like, every little thing is so expensive when you times it by 1,000.

00:09:29.280 And then, like, to record 1,000 people, you need 1,000 cameras. 0.99

00:09:32.540 Just to buy 1,000 cameras is a bitch. 1.00

00:09:34.720 And then to hook all the cameras up to the server, we need, like, 56 miles of cable to run it over there. 0.99

00:09:40.200 And then you need, like, fucking 250 camera people to check in on them. 0.97

00:09:43.700 And so it's like, I know why people don't do reality shows at this scale because it's so fucking expensive. 0.89

00:09:50.380 Yeah, what was the total budget of this show?

00:09:54.860 Can you, I want to tell you about it.

00:09:56.740 Can you just believe it so it doesn't make it in?

00:09:58.540 For sure.

00:09:59.020 Can we believe it in some artistic way so it at least looks exciting? 1.00

00:10:02.120 No, just be like, what the fuck? 0.99

00:10:03.880 Or do this? 1.00

00:10:05.520 Sure, put that over my mouth. 0.98

00:10:06.760 Okay.

00:10:07.540 We spent $100.

00:10:09.220 Oh, my God.

00:10:10.660 Yeah.

00:10:11.080 I hope my mom's all right.

00:10:16.420 I didn't mean it.

00:10:17.240 Don't cancel me.

00:10:17.880 No, I'm just trying to give some different, trying to give some different reactions.

00:10:22.620 Put that in the intro.

00:10:23.620 Oh, my God, bro.

00:10:24.760 You spent that much on this?

00:10:26.780 Yeah, because it gets crazier.

00:10:28.260 Like, that first one, we built 1,000 towers.

00:10:31.100 And those are real towers that have actual hydraulic press doors that have to be safety proof with giant foam and crash pad at the bottom with the light system, right?

00:10:40.640 Because we're turning them red and green.

00:10:41.900 And then we had to build custom software to connect it all where you press a button and the lights change.

00:10:46.440 And then we had to rig, like I told you, 1,000 cameras in there to a giant control center.

00:10:51.720 Like, just that first episode alone was, I mean, crazy, man.

00:10:54.600 And do you have to take it all down at the end?

00:10:56.480 Yeah.

00:10:56.860 No.

00:10:57.300 I don't own that building.

00:10:58.900 Yeah.

00:10:59.340 Because the problem is, like, we needed six massive hangars.

00:11:03.600 So, like, we basically, in Canada, there's, like, these six giant airport hangars.

00:11:08.700 And we were just like, hey, can we use those?

00:11:10.760 And converted them all to these big sets.

00:11:12.580 And then right outside is a field.

00:11:14.000 And that's where we built that city, which was also.

00:11:16.500 So, I have in this field, at one point, I have, like, 800 people working over here just building a city in the middle of a field.

00:11:22.000 And I've got, like, 600 construction people in these six hangars just building these other sets.

00:11:26.560 And then I have all these.

00:11:27.320 I mean, at some points, we had, like, over 2,000 people on set just in this town in Canada.

00:11:32.760 So, it was crazy.

00:11:34.200 And were you employing just a lot of locals?

00:11:35.560 I mean, you would put out the employment opportunities in advance?

00:11:39.900 Yeah.

00:11:40.320 We worked with two different unions.

00:11:42.640 And then, yeah, we hired a bunch of people locally and things like that.

00:11:45.300 So, yeah, it created a lot of jobs locally there.

00:11:47.420 And where does your joy come from?

00:11:49.320 Like, because you give away, you've given away a lot of money, right?

00:11:52.020 And you give away a lot of joy while I'm watching.

00:11:53.960 Like, there's something also, like, there's moments in there as I'm watching.

00:11:57.180 I'm like, oh, what would I do in that instance, right?

00:11:59.160 That comes into my head.

00:12:00.120 And then you see the reactions if somebody screws somebody over.

00:12:03.080 And you see the reaction if somebody gets screwed over.

00:12:06.480 And you kind of think, like, okay, well, what feeling would I want to have, you know?

00:12:10.160 And then, like, in the moment, you're like, oh, yeah, I would definitely take the money.

00:12:13.380 But then right now, looking back, when I start to even think about some of those moments, I'd be like,

00:12:17.420 man, it must have been really tough to leave and have those people feel.

00:12:20.580 And so maybe I wouldn't have, right?

00:12:21.940 It's just, it's interesting just as a viewer, all the little moments that I kind of navigate

00:12:25.580 and then kind of learn about myself.

00:12:27.960 But what do you get?

00:12:29.220 Like, like, you give away so much money.

00:12:31.080 Do you feel like you're, like, making up for something in a past life?

00:12:34.400 Or, like, is there something that, like, you didn't grow up with a lot of money, you know?

00:12:38.620 No.

00:12:38.940 And so was it, do you, like, when you think back on little moments, like,

00:12:43.340 did you see somebody give some money once and it made you feel excited?

00:12:46.620 Or, like, are you able to connect any of those dots as you get a little bit older

00:12:49.700 and have some more breadth of time?

00:12:51.360 You know, that's where I should come up with this, you know, heart-throbbing story of, like,

00:12:57.540 I just want to, you know, help people because I couldn't when I was younger or whatever.

00:13:01.560 But the honest truth is, like, I know how to make content go viral.

00:13:05.660 We're really good at making good content.

00:13:07.840 And I just believe a world where I help people is just more fun than a world where I don't.

00:13:12.460 And that's kind of really it.

00:13:14.620 I just, I've noticed where, you know, videos where we do help people or give away money,

00:13:18.660 I tend to just be a little happier, enjoy it a little bit more.

00:13:21.540 And so I just lean more that way.

00:13:23.840 That's cool.

00:13:24.620 Yeah.

00:13:24.920 I mean, that's the truth.

00:13:26.020 I mean, I could, I could, one time for fun, because, like, everyone has these, like, PR publicists

00:13:31.300 and PR people.

00:13:31.940 I just talked to one.

00:13:33.220 I was like, huh, what advice would you have for me?

00:13:35.420 And they're like, you need to come up with a better story on why you help people.

00:13:38.220 And I was like, well, what I, because this is what I usually say.

00:13:41.260 It's like, well, the truth is just as slightly more fun than what I don't.

00:13:44.760 They're like, no, you need to come up with a better one.

00:13:46.740 Like, you know, like you were saying, like, you know, say, like, you helped a homeless

00:13:50.020 person.

00:13:50.540 It brought you immense joy and all this stuff.

00:13:52.540 And I was just like, yeah, that feels kind of fake.

00:13:54.680 Yeah.

00:13:54.900 So, yeah, that's.

00:13:56.200 Yeah.

00:13:56.400 Sometimes that's just the truth.

00:13:58.540 It is.

00:13:58.960 And it's a very simple truth.

00:14:00.240 Yeah.

00:14:00.380 I like helping somebody out.

00:14:01.780 It's just more fun than if I don't.

00:14:03.900 Yeah.

00:14:04.060 Yeah.

00:14:04.240 I mean.

00:14:05.020 Yeah.

00:14:05.380 It's scary to think that, though.

00:14:06.480 Like recently I was given, given some money to some people that had been suffered from

00:14:10.820 a storm.

00:14:11.300 Right.

00:14:12.140 Um, from some flooding.

00:14:13.700 And, uh, but, and I'm not saying that to make myself look exciting or anything, but it

00:14:18.840 was nothing like this.

00:14:19.960 And if they see that and then hear what I get, they're like, oh, this is guy, this guy's.

00:14:23.540 Well, I mean, this is just our reality show, but yeah, in general, I don't know if you've

00:14:26.940 watched too many of our videos, but we built a hundred wells in Africa.

00:14:29.500 We, uh.

00:14:30.280 Oh yeah, I know.

00:14:31.000 You've helped them.

00:14:31.560 Yeah.

00:14:31.660 You guys have given stuff.

00:14:32.740 You've taken, uh, plastics out of the ocean.

00:14:35.300 Yeah.

00:14:35.640 But what the, the wells stuff, that one was interesting or really eyeopening for me.

00:14:40.360 Cause we were one of them.

00:14:41.640 Like we went like four hours into the middle of nowhere and you're like, you know, in places

00:14:45.620 where these people don't have internet, like they're, I mean, really intense poverty.

00:14:49.640 And it's like, it's pretty eyeopening.

00:14:52.200 I would recommend if anyone ever has an opportunity to like just work on a project or do something

00:14:56.920 in places like that.

00:14:57.520 It's like crazy to think that we're on the same planet, you know what I mean?

00:15:02.080 And people who like, don't even have access to clean water and have to walk an hour every

00:15:06.420 morning to go to a river to get water.

00:15:09.060 But then you look upstream and there's literally cows shitting in that same water that they're,

00:15:13.380 you know, drinking out of because that's like, that's the world they live in.

00:15:16.040 And like, we have, anyways, I don't know.

00:15:18.140 Yeah.

00:15:18.780 No, look, no.

00:15:19.660 I think putting things in a perspective, right.

00:15:21.740 Changes things for people.

00:15:23.000 Exactly.

00:15:23.300 Were you, was, did you have to like kind of achieve a certain amount of finances before

00:15:27.400 you were able to start giving away finances?

00:15:29.600 No, I've always like my first brand deal was $10,000 and I just walked outside and gave

00:15:34.740 it to a homeless person.

00:15:35.880 Wow.

00:15:36.280 So I've just always done it.

00:15:37.600 Cause it's just like, you know, if I, um, do this, then hopefully this video makes $15,000

00:15:43.060 and then I'll give away $15,000.

00:15:44.520 Right.

00:15:44.720 And then hopefully that video makes $20,000 and I'll give away 20.

00:15:46.900 And so I just had that idea of where I was like, what if I just give away the money and

00:15:51.540 then it makes more money and I give that away.

00:15:53.280 And then I've just kind of been doing that for like eight years.

00:15:56.240 And now you're at $5 million, which is the largest amount that has ever been given away

00:15:59.860 in a game show or in a reality show, in any show.

00:16:02.520 Really?

00:16:02.740 No one's ever given away.

00:16:03.680 I think squid game was the most of 4 million, 560,000.

00:16:06.800 Wow.

00:16:07.360 Yeah.

00:16:07.480 Did you want to beat that kind of?

00:16:08.780 Oh yeah.

00:16:09.360 That's why the number is 5 million, but we also gave away like, you know, another 15 plus

00:16:14.340 million on top of that just throughout the show.

00:16:16.060 No, no, I love it.

00:16:17.020 Cause you hear so many companies that companies that just like, it's about their bottom.

00:16:20.600 And it's like, this is like the opposite of that.

00:16:22.640 It's like, let's do something good and let's make a bunch of money, but then let's, let's

00:16:27.320 give it away.

00:16:28.020 Yeah.

00:16:28.560 It's like the opposite of like all the other treacherous type of, um, uh, capitalism that

00:16:33.820 you hear about, you know?

00:16:35.120 Yeah.

00:16:35.400 I mean, I, it's interesting because now that I've done like a streaming show or whatever,

00:16:40.780 I'm, uh, it's like a lot of these shows, their cash prize is like $250,000, $500,000.

00:16:46.480 And it's like, I wonder why they don't give away more.

00:16:50.140 You know what I mean?

00:16:50.840 Like you'll watch this whole, you know, 10 episode show just to see who wins 250 K.

00:16:55.180 And it's like the first three minutes of our show, we gave away a million dollars.

00:16:59.180 Yeah.

00:16:59.500 You're like, yeah, this is, yeah.

00:17:00.880 So it'll be interesting.

00:17:02.000 I'm curious to see how people react to it because I just, but anyways, you're going to make other

00:17:06.000 tips.

00:17:06.520 Yeah. 0.99

00:17:07.260 Dude, we had a dude, he would give you 10 bucks to look at his butt. 1.00

00:17:11.080 Right. 0.99

00:17:11.540 Wait, what?

00:17:12.120 Yeah.

00:17:12.320 When I was, uh, you know, when I was younger than I am now, for sure, he was a child.

00:17:16.480 I don't want to say a child, but you just pretend I was a child.

00:17:19.080 Right. 0.99

00:17:19.700 Cause I was, and this guy would give you 10 bucks to look at his butt. 1.00

00:17:23.200 Right. 0.98

00:17:23.360 Not up close, far away, you know, but it was like, so yeah, that guy could have given

00:17:28.860 us a lot more.

00:17:29.560 Do you need to file a police report?

00:17:31.720 I have no idea, dude, but I'm just saying, it's like everybody has a game show and you're

00:17:36.000 like, yeah, people, these, these prizes are cheap.

00:17:39.140 You know, that's what it was kind of what I was getting at.

00:17:41.140 Anyway, we can take that part out. 0.99

00:17:42.700 So you were on a game show and a guy gave you $10 to look at his butt. 0.97

00:17:45.920 We had a dude in our area. 0.98

00:17:47.100 I'll be honest with you.

00:17:47.960 He'd give you $10.

00:17:48.920 He'd walk off a little bit. 0.99

00:17:50.020 He kind of spread his butt a little bit. 0.95

00:17:51.640 And you had to kind of go like that at him and you got the money, you know? 0.99

00:17:55.760 Okay.

00:17:56.340 So, but it wasn't, it wasn't close up and it wasn't even super invasive.

00:17:59.420 It was like, you know, I get, it's a, how old were you at the time?

00:18:05.180 Uh, I was old enough to be like, Hey, this guy's kind of a crazy guy, you know, but he's 0.79

00:18:09.640 also cheap, you know?

00:18:11.520 So probably 13, 12, 11, probably, you know, but anyway, you sure you don't want to file

00:18:16.380 a police report, you sure you don't want to take care of that? 0.99

00:18:21.980 He's not currently still offering 12 year olds, $10 to look at his butt. 0.97

00:18:26.020 Cause we might want to put an into that. 0.98

00:18:28.100 Yeah, you're right.

00:18:28.760 Actually.

00:18:29.100 And maybe that's the type of game we can go to do next is trapping guys like that, you

00:18:33.080 know, $12, but games that's different.

00:18:36.960 Anyway, I shouldn't have said anything like that.

00:18:38.880 Um, just so our viewers know, right?

00:18:41.920 I know you have the largest YouTube channel, um, that, that exists the most that they can

00:18:46.160 have on there.

00:18:47.400 Um, you have more subscribers than I think people in America.

00:18:52.200 Uh, yeah, I haven't thought of that, but yeah.

00:18:55.160 What's the population of America?

00:18:56.200 I think.

00:18:56.380 Sorry to cut you off to me.

00:18:57.240 Like 300 million, right?

00:18:59.100 Almost four.

00:19:00.080 Oh, it's almost four.

00:19:00.860 Is it?

00:19:01.680 Let's see.

00:19:02.000 America population.

00:19:03.800 334.

00:19:04.360 Oh yeah.

00:19:04.620 We're about the same.

00:19:05.560 We're at 330.

00:19:06.400 Yeah.

00:19:06.600 So we're, we're, we're tied with America.

00:19:09.880 Yeah, I guess it's, uh, I mean, I, uh, it's crazy, man.

00:19:14.920 Like eight years ago, I was in high school.

00:19:16.720 So it's kind of funny when I think about it.

00:19:18.520 Cause eight years ago, I'm raising my hand desk, use the bathroom.

00:19:20.680 And then, yeah, I guess now we have the same subscribers as America.

00:19:24.120 Yeah.

00:19:24.720 Yeah.

00:19:25.080 It's pretty, yeah.

00:19:26.020 That's a difference.

00:19:26.880 Pretty wild how it happens.

00:19:27.960 It's, uh, it's a lot, man.

00:19:30.160 You know, what's interesting?

00:19:31.120 Cause you're, you're talking about like the, our large subscriber count is it's like when,

00:19:35.760 when I had like, uh, 10 million subscribers, I was like,

00:19:38.920 I thought this is fame.

00:19:40.900 Like this is, you know, like I would go into Walmart and I don't know, maybe one person 0.97

00:19:45.660 would ask for a photo and it was like, this is fucking cool. 0.68

00:19:47.720 This is what it's like. 0.58

00:19:48.920 But you don't, there's just like such a big difference where, and this is gonna sound

00:19:53.880 obvious, but where I'm at now, then when I had like 10 million subscribers or where I

00:19:57.320 was like four years ago and it's, it keeps getting crazier every year and every year,

00:20:02.060 like, like people will follow my car to like, you know, if I'm out and they see me, they'll

00:20:07.980 like try to stalk me so they can see where I live.

00:20:09.840 Like, you know, that's like, that kind of stuff didn't happen four years ago or almost

00:20:14.860 anything I do, uh, ends up on the internet, right?

00:20:17.640 Like, um, one time I was like at a drive, every time I go to a drive-thru, it's like

00:20:22.560 flipping a coin on whether or not 10, like someone's gonna go Mr. Beast.

00:20:25.740 And then all the people in the background and run to the window and it's going to be this

00:20:28.640 thing.

00:20:28.800 That's, you know, kind of intense or if it's just like a really, really old person and 0.87

00:20:34.300 I'm like always super happy when like, I pull up to a drive-thru and it sounds like 0.94

00:20:37.620 they're 50 cause I'm like, fuck yeah, I'm good. 0.98

00:20:39.380 Yeah. 0.99

00:20:39.800 But if they, if they sound like they're in their twenties or thirties, it's, it's brutal.

00:20:43.020 Cause then it's like one time someone did that.

00:20:46.920 They opened it.

00:20:47.520 She was like, you're Mr.

00:20:48.640 Beast.

00:20:48.900 I was like, yeah.

00:20:49.480 And she goes to whip out her phone.

00:20:50.520 I was like, Hey, I don't want people to know what I'm driving.

00:20:52.760 Like we can chat, but let just please no photos.

00:20:55.220 Cause then if it goes viral, I'm gonna have to sell this car.

00:20:57.500 And like, it's just a lot of work.

00:20:58.620 And she's like, okay.

00:21:00.480 And then she goes to get the food and she comes back and there's just, I see just 10

00:21:05.360 other people that work.

00:21:06.520 I won't even say the restaurant, but behind her coming up or their phones recording.

00:21:10.000 I was like, I thought I could trust you.

00:21:12.300 And I had to drive off before they handed me my food because I was like, if I don't,

00:21:16.740 they're going to start filming.

00:21:17.620 People will see the car drive, blah, blah.

00:21:19.080 And then it's funny.

00:21:20.520 Like the next day I see on Reddit, Mr. 1.00

00:21:23.320 Beast is an asshole. 1.00

00:21:24.460 Just drove off. 1.00

00:21:25.720 And it's like, no, you forgot to tell the part.

00:21:28.500 Where I was like, Hey, please don't dox my car, you know, just come to me leaves that

00:21:33.200 whole thing out.

00:21:33.720 And so there's a lot of that, like, or another time I was at a restaurant.

00:21:37.900 I don't even know who I was with, but, uh, someone paid for my food.

00:21:41.460 And, um, I was like the, I went, I asked for the bill.

00:21:44.740 They're like, Oh, someone paid for it.

00:21:45.980 They're like, told me to tell you they like your videos.

00:21:47.900 I was like, cool.

00:21:48.880 How do I tip?

00:21:49.780 And they're like, Oh, well, we don't have a bill.

00:21:51.420 And I was like, okay.

00:21:52.340 So I just laughed.

00:21:53.200 And then the next day I see on the internet, Mr.

00:21:55.220 Beast stiffed me and didn't leave a tip or whatever.

00:21:57.380 And it's like, someone paid for my meal.

00:22:00.400 I didn't get a bill.

00:22:01.700 It's not like I carry cash.

00:22:03.160 Yeah.

00:22:03.400 So, and I was just, it's so, I have so many instances like that where like, no one gives 0.61

00:22:08.460 a fuck when you're smaller about all these little things. 0.86

00:22:10.440 But like, as I've gotten bigger, yeah, it's just like every interaction it's, uh, it's 0.99

00:22:16.140 like a 10% chance this thing's going to end up on the internet and, or they're going

00:22:20.300 to try to twist things or, or whatever.

00:22:22.280 And it's just gotten crazier.

00:22:23.880 Like people, like I said, follow me or, um, yeah, it's, it's interesting.

00:22:28.500 Yeah.

00:22:28.620 And you get, well, you get to a point also a popularity where you've also gone.

00:22:31.940 Oh, you can't go back.

00:22:33.880 First of all, you can't unbeast yourself.

00:22:36.420 Well, actually I can't unbeast myself.

00:22:38.140 If I wear a beanie, I've noticed, like I've, I've tried all sorts of outfits when I fly

00:22:41.820 to see which ones get, if I put my bangs in a beanie and put that on, cause I've never

00:22:45.720 worn anything like that in my videos, the amount of photos I take go down like crazy.

00:22:49.800 Wow.

00:22:50.060 Yeah.

00:22:50.280 So it's like, and then if I combo the beanie with like a pair of glasses, cause I also have

00:22:55.180 never worn glasses in my videos, it takes it down.

00:22:57.740 So I've like studied it because like I used to just rock a hood, but that's kind of like

00:23:02.800 suspicious.

00:23:03.320 It's like, especially in places where it's not cold.

00:23:05.660 People are like, it's got like a bank robber, but he's at United Airlines. 0.99

00:23:09.000 It actually makes them like double look and then they're like, oh shit. 0.97

00:23:12.100 So the hood strat doesn't work. 0.95

00:23:13.860 Um, but the, the beanie and glasses strat, that's, that's the key.

00:23:16.920 Yeah.

00:23:17.160 If you want to be like low key.

00:23:18.820 Yeah.

00:23:19.180 No, I think there's different ways to do different little disguises.

00:23:22.360 I do think it's interesting what you're saying though, like about, like, I would notice, um,

00:23:27.440 this is just for me, but I would notice like someone would pay for my food sometime at a

00:23:31.500 restaurant, but then I would read like, oh, he didn't thank us for it.

00:23:35.400 Right.

00:23:36.360 So really they were paying for it.

00:23:38.200 So I would like engage with them.

00:23:39.820 Right.

00:23:39.980 Which is, it's okay.

00:23:41.580 But it's like, at some point it's like, maybe I'm doing with, I'd rather just pay for the

00:23:45.560 food.

00:23:45.880 Yeah.

00:23:46.020 I'd rather just pay for my food.

00:23:47.000 I didn't know that there was this other exchange to it.

00:23:49.460 Right.

00:23:49.720 So I'm not complaining.

00:23:50.720 I'm happy for the extra food, but if I'm in a hurry or something and now I'm in a different

00:23:54.440 spot and now I'm in a conversation where somebody also then wants to ask you about a business

00:23:58.480 thing or something.

00:23:59.260 And it's like, yeah, you know, there's no rule book for these kinds of things.

00:24:02.340 Right.

00:24:02.540 There's no rule book.

00:24:03.360 So you kind of have to like learn on the go.

00:24:05.560 Like, what do I do when random people pay for my food?

00:24:09.040 Oh, I guess this is the random people paid for my food etiquette.

00:24:12.080 I have to stand there and demand a bill from the waitress five times until they give it 1.00

00:24:16.740 so I can tip.

00:24:17.860 I then have to walk around the restaurant and find who paid for it and thank them.

00:24:21.100 It's like, these are the, the things that you just kind of have to learn as you get

00:24:25.120 more famous.

00:24:25.980 Yeah.

00:24:26.400 Yeah.

00:24:26.680 Well, it's just interesting, you know, and people will be like, oh,

00:24:29.260 famous people complaining, you know, but it's like, but if somebody, if popularity is a

00:24:34.040 blessing and a curse, and sometimes it's a side effect of what you even wanted to do.

00:24:37.540 Right.

00:24:38.740 And yeah.

00:24:39.320 And then there's also ways to like little things to navigate amongst it.

00:25:30.660 Prize picks also has a brand new feature called live squares available.

00:25:36.020 Now live squares allows you to pick a player's full game projection after their time has started.

00:25:45.340 The projection changes based on the player's live progress.

00:29:37.440 Terms and conditions apply.

00:29:40.240 How did you become, just so our listeners know, how did you become Mr. Beast, you know?

00:29:43.960 Yeah.

00:29:44.180 Were you, was you at a point where you were just a beast?

00:29:48.280 Yeah, so when I was probably 13 or 11, you know, Xbox Live, I just was randomizing the name.

00:29:55.560 And it gave me like the name Mr. Beast 6000.

00:29:57.980 And so that was just like my Xbox Gamer Tag when I was playing Call of Duty.

00:30:00.900 So they gave you, did they ever come after you and try to claim any title to it?

00:30:04.580 Well, no, because it's just like a random name generator and they don't own it.

00:30:07.640 But then, so then when I started a YouTube channel, I just called it Mr. Beast 6000.

00:30:11.380 And then everyone was just like, why is this 6000?

00:30:15.340 I was like, I don't know.

00:30:16.060 And then I eventually just dropped it.

00:30:17.520 And there's Mr. Beast.

00:30:18.820 So that's kind of how it came about.

00:30:20.120 But in terms of how I got where I am now, I started making videos when I was 11. 0.93

00:30:25.680 Had no fucking clue what I was doing. 0.99

00:30:26.980 They were absolute trash. 1.00

00:30:28.360 And then no one watched when I was 11. 1.00

00:30:31.240 No one watched when I was 12.

00:30:32.240 No one watched when I was 13.

00:30:33.260 No one watched when I was 14.

00:30:34.380 No one watched when I was 15. 0.99

00:30:35.880 And then I started to get like, holy fuck, is anyone ever going to watch these? 0.98

00:30:39.220 I'm like four years in. 0.99

00:30:40.240 I'm like having depressive mental breakdowns because I'm poor and everything I have.

00:30:44.940 But I mean, like at the time, you know, obviously everyone thinks the videos they make are great. 0.92

00:30:48.960 And I thought I was making like insanely great videos, but they're just trash.

00:30:52.260 I just and like the problem is I didn't have anyone to teach me how to edit.

00:30:55.900 So I'm like learning on my own.

00:30:57.200 I didn't I didn't know anything about cameras.

00:30:58.620 I didn't know anything about anything.

00:30:59.980 And then 16, no one's watched them.

00:31:01.920 17, no one watching them. 0.80

00:31:03.000 And I'm like, fuck, I just like I only my whole life was just like, I just want to do YouTube. 0.83

00:31:07.580 I need to make enough money by the time I graduate high school. 0.99

00:31:10.240 So I can do this or I'm fucked because like I didn't have good grades or anything. 0.78

00:31:14.080 And, you know, we didn't have much money because my parents were over leveraged in 2008. 0.93

00:31:18.720 They're in the army, bought some properties 2008.

00:31:21.060 And then the recession or financial crisis hit, went bankrupt, lost everything. 0.99

00:31:25.460 So like my mom was also like, fuck, my son's just going to be like, fuck, can we get back in there? 0.99

00:31:31.540 Yeah, like just going to be homeless. 1.00

00:31:32.780 And she she hates it.

00:31:34.300 And and so I finally 18 about to graduate high school.

00:31:39.180 Still, no one watches the videos. 0.99

00:31:40.560 No one gives a fuck. 0.98

00:31:41.400 I mean, I'm doing graduation night. 0.99

00:31:43.280 Yeah, I remember like, yeah, it's just like my mom's like, all right, it's time to accept reality.

00:31:49.340 Got to go to community college.

00:31:50.520 Got to get a degree.

00:31:51.800 And I was just like, I didn't want to. 0.99

00:31:53.760 But I was like, OK, let me just pick the easiest, lamest fucking degree. 0.97

00:31:56.100 I think it was like some communications degree. 0.98

00:31:57.900 My local community is one of them. 1.00

00:31:59.740 But then two weeks into it, I just was like, fuck this shit. 1.00

00:32:04.320 And so every day, because I didn't have enough money to move out, I just go to college. 1.00

00:32:08.520 But then I would just work on videos in my car.

00:32:10.260 And I was just like, OK, in six months, my mom's going to find out that I have straight zeros.

00:32:14.860 Kick me out of the house.

00:32:15.640 I got to get it where people are watching my videos enough where I can like live off of it over the next six months. 0.67

00:32:20.960 And then I just started doing a bunch of stupid stuff like around this time when I counted to 100,000.

00:32:26.120 Yeah, it's so classic. 0.96

00:32:27.340 And a lot of other things like that.

00:32:29.380 Watching somebody semi-unconscious count their way through like the 80,000 is unbelievable.

00:32:34.400 Yeah, it was.

00:32:36.100 There was one part, I think, at 93,000 where I was like 92,999, 91,000.

00:32:41.720 I actually went backwards.

00:32:42.600 I didn't realize it.

00:32:43.240 And then I just went 91,001, 91,002.

00:32:45.580 So I like, yeah, because I was so just out of it at that point.

00:32:49.820 Yeah, there are other moments in that where you're like, yeah, somebody help this guy or something, you know.

00:32:54.040 But anyways, around that point, I had a month where I made 20 grand.

00:32:57.000 And then I was like, mom, I have straight zeros.

00:33:00.100 I'll move out tomorrow.

00:33:00.780 And then I just moved out.

00:33:01.820 So that and then, yeah, then we just kept reinvesting it all.

00:33:04.860 And here we are.

00:33:05.300 So it's like a 15 year journey.

00:33:07.300 And it's been pretty crazy.

00:33:09.280 Was it hard to learn to reinvest in yourself?

00:33:11.140 Is that like a I know you kind of mentioned a minute ago.

00:33:14.280 Was that like a thing?

00:33:15.300 Is it hard to learn to reinvest?

00:33:16.580 No, for me, it always came natural because like I have.

00:33:20.000 Well, now it's a little bit crazier because we're traveling everything.

00:33:22.500 But back then I lived in a place that was $720 a month and I split it with someone.

00:33:26.140 So I needed 360 for rent.

00:33:27.960 And I had like a 2005 Dodge Durango, which was that expensive.

00:33:31.300 So it was like, OK, $1,000 to cover my expenses.

00:33:34.720 Everything else just pour back in.

00:33:36.200 You know what I mean?

00:33:36.520 So if you just live like below your means, then like it allows you just to go crazy and

00:33:41.620 throw everything back into it. 0.97

00:33:42.680 And I just was like a fucking machine back then that lived to make the best videos possible. 0.96

00:33:47.120 And so every dollar was just a way to just make a better video. 0.98

00:33:52.080 Wow.

00:33:52.400 So you want to make the best video.

00:33:54.060 There's something about it that you want to make the best video.

00:33:58.140 Yeah, well, it's I've obviously studied the algorithm, studied the tens of thousands of

00:34:02.640 YouTube videos.

00:34:03.220 I'm a data nerd.

00:34:04.260 And what's interesting is the data always just shows that the better a video is, the

00:34:08.740 more views it gets.

00:34:09.360 It's like if people watch it and enjoy it, YouTube gives it more views.

00:34:12.760 So it's like, yeah, it's the better that's that's what took us from 100,000 views a video

00:34:18.220 to a million to 10 million views a video to 20 to 30 to 40 to 50 to 100.

00:34:21.740 It's just, you know, people notice when you put in the effort and go above and beyond.

00:34:25.980 So they just keep coming back.

00:34:27.480 Yeah.

00:34:27.620 I mean, that we are watching.

00:34:29.320 I mean, I know this will be on Amazon, right?

00:34:31.020 Yeah.

00:34:31.400 Prime video, the beast game thing.

00:34:33.000 Yeah.

00:34:33.220 But watching some of your stuff is just like, man, this is like fantastical.

00:34:37.820 You know, it's like fantasy.

00:34:39.320 There's fantasy parts of it.

00:34:40.920 Um, what was one you guys just put up about?

00:34:43.160 You went out into these like, uh, like this cave and seven days in the underground cave.

00:34:48.520 Is that a, was it a real cave or not a real cave?

00:34:50.780 Uh, so we did seven days in a cave and seven days in underground city.

00:34:53.640 Which one are you talking about?

00:34:54.080 Underground city.

00:34:54.720 Yeah.

00:34:55.120 That's in Romania.

00:34:56.560 That's a, that was crazy.

00:34:57.840 It was so great.

00:34:58.540 Cause it's like, it's mixes like past and present.

00:35:00.960 It's like, I can't, it's like, are we the Mayans or the aliens here?

00:35:05.740 There's this mix of like, you know, where, is this a real city?

00:35:09.620 Is it not, it, it looks brand new, but then it's also has these.

00:35:13.180 Well, and the Romans used to mine salt out of there.

00:35:15.100 I think it was like, uh, something crazy, like 2 billion, uh, pounds of salt have been

00:35:20.600 mined there or something ridiculous.

00:35:22.520 Yeah.

00:35:22.740 So it's been used for over a thousand years and then they built a little underground city

00:35:26.900 there and there's a Ferris wheel and everything.

00:35:28.520 It's so mind blowing that like how there's a real Ferris wheel there.

00:35:31.740 Yeah.

00:35:32.260 In that underground city.

00:35:33.260 That's a part to it.

00:35:34.260 That's one that it's just like, I can't tell sometimes when it's new or older.

00:35:38.100 It's like, it's just, it's fantastical.

00:35:40.400 You know, that's what it feels like to me.

00:35:41.660 It felt like, dang, this is dang fantasy, you know?

00:35:44.240 Um, so you're a Mr. Beast.

00:35:45.940 Is there a Mrs. Beast? 0.72

00:35:46.960 Do they have a Mrs. Beast? 0.99

00:35:48.180 I mean, I have a girlfriend, but, uh, you know, I just call her Tia.

00:35:52.820 Okay.

00:35:53.260 So she, you just call her by her natural name or whatever, God given name.

00:35:56.360 Um, do you remember your first girlfriend ever or no?

00:35:59.960 Uh, yeah, but you know, I'm, I love my current girlfriend.

00:36:04.720 Okay.

00:36:05.260 Oh yeah.

00:36:05.820 Yeah.

00:36:06.040 That's what I was just, or yeah, I was just thinking like, were you good at having girl?

00:36:09.920 Like, was there ever a girl that you even had a crush on in your neighborhood or anything

00:36:12.720 when you were a kid?

00:36:13.400 You don't have to say her name.

00:36:14.380 No, it's bro.

00:36:15.900 When I, um, I, when I was growing up, I was so, I mean, I still am, but I was incredibly

00:36:21.760 awkward.

00:36:22.160 I had a lot of pimples when I was a teenager.

00:36:24.820 Oh yeah, dude.

00:36:25.400 Like I have scarves on my forehead from, I was saw, I was an acneed up freak that just 0.95

00:36:29.420 obsessed over YouTube.

00:36:31.040 I don't, I didn't know how to talk to a woman. 1.00

00:36:32.600 Like if they were like, hi, I'd probably just be like, uh, what are you? 1.00

00:36:37.260 So it was fuck. 1.00

00:36:39.140 No, no. 1.00

00:36:39.760 I mean, but it kind of worked to my advantage a little bit because that's why I just grinded

00:36:44.360 so much from 11 to 18, which most people probably would have been trying to talk to

00:36:48.160 girls or, you know, actually that'll kill all your time. 1.00

00:36:50.840 Exactly. 0.99

00:36:51.320 Whereas I was just like fucking playing baseball and grinding on YouTube every second. 0.99

00:36:55.400 So it worked out in my advantage. 0.97

00:36:57.420 Do you know Accutane?

00:36:59.220 Oh yeah.

00:36:59.940 Accutane.

00:37:00.420 Didn't it kill?

00:37:01.140 It didn't kill Jessica Simpson. 1.00

00:37:02.360 What happened to her?

00:37:04.120 And that wasn't her.

00:37:05.000 Sorry.

00:37:06.360 Yeah.

00:37:06.960 I don't know.

00:37:07.360 It might've killed someone.

00:37:08.140 I mean, it's a pretty intense thing, but I took Accutane and it just got rid of all

00:37:11.660 my acne.

00:37:12.320 Oh, it helped?

00:37:12.680 Yeah.

00:37:12.900 Oh yeah.

00:37:13.160 And actually I was one, a Call of Duty YouTuber I watched when I was younger.

00:37:17.300 He just said that he started taking Accutane and all his acne went away.

00:37:20.580 And I was like, okay.

00:37:21.400 So I asked my dermatologist and I took it and then all my acne went away as well.

00:37:25.160 And I was like, holy shit, where was, but I didn't take it till I was like 19 or 20.

00:37:29.120 And I was like, my God, why didn't someone tell me about this? 0.77

00:37:31.240 Anybody tell you?

00:37:31.880 Yeah.

00:37:32.180 When I was 15 or 16, and I probably, it's probably for the better because it's pretty

00:37:35.760 intense, but it like dries your skin out like crazy.

00:37:39.300 And it gets to the point where your skin will get like, it shrinks your pores too.

00:37:43.560 So like the blackheads on your nose will literally come out on their own. 1.00

00:37:46.940 And like, you'll like wake up one day and you'll just have like all this stuff.

00:37:49.780 Like if you squeeze blackheads, they'll just be sitting on top of your nose. 1.00

00:37:52.620 It's like a miracle.

00:37:54.160 Like when people with that worm rod on the ground, you ever seen that when they electrocute

00:37:56.780 the ground to get the worms out of it?

00:37:58.060 Yeah, basically like that.

00:37:58.680 Yeah.

00:37:59.380 And it's, this is a crazy thing.

00:38:01.180 So anyways, I'm saying this because if there's any of you out there in the same spot as me,

00:38:05.220 Accutane changed my life.

00:38:06.780 I hope to be like that call dude, a YouTuber was to me when I was younger to you.

00:38:10.600 It was, it was wild.

00:38:11.900 Some dude on call it, he's like, Hey, get some Accutane.

00:38:13.960 Yeah.

00:38:14.060 He would just do it like a story time and talk about how he fixes acne.

00:38:17.000 And I was just like, Oh, changed my life.

00:38:19.120 Dude, we had to get this blotter.

00:38:20.980 They had something.

00:38:22.400 There was this, finally I got a prescription.

00:38:24.580 Cause mine was bad too, dude.

00:38:25.760 Like, and I was afraid to smile because sometimes you would have that hard patch and it would just

00:38:29.240 be like, it would be like a gang of acne, like MS Thertacne or whatever. 0.98

00:38:34.620 That was my fucking forehead for years. 0.99

00:38:37.140 Yeah. 1.00

00:38:37.320 And you would smile and it would fucking just squirt on somebody. 0.98

00:38:40.500 It was almost like you were, um, you were afraid to make certain faces because a couple 0.97

00:38:44.700 of them would go off, you know, it was like, you know, like, I don't know if mine was that

00:38:48.140 intense.

00:38:48.900 I had, if you'd get them like in here in the corners of my nose, it was so scary.

00:38:52.800 And I already have a big nose.

00:38:54.100 So if I get a pimp on it, I'd have to stay home until it went away or whatever.

00:38:57.820 Yeah.

00:38:58.560 Um, God, dude.

00:38:59.920 Yeah.

00:39:00.160 Acne was, acne was crazy.

00:39:01.980 Cause you didn't do anything, right?

00:39:03.240 You've been at home, you're just growing up or whatever.

00:39:06.240 Yeah. 1.00

00:39:06.700 And then God's like, Oh yeah, you little bastard. 1.00

00:39:10.220 I know. 1.00

00:39:10.460 It's like, you see these people who don't wash their face and they just have perfect flawless

00:39:14.420 skin.

00:39:14.900 And then you're over here doing everything you can.

00:39:17.000 And you got, you know, a hundred blackheads on your nose and probably 40 pimples on your face. 0.82

00:39:20.840 And it's just like, why, why, why am I being punished?

00:39:24.300 You know, like, why me?

00:39:26.120 And we had this blotter stuff.

00:39:27.920 It was like this, this green stuff came out at one point.

00:39:30.100 You have to put it all.

00:39:30.880 It had a, like a blotter, almost like a, um, for playing bingo and you'd put it all over

00:39:35.360 your skin, but it had green.

00:39:36.920 It was green, right?

00:39:37.740 It's kind of green and you couldn't tell right when you put it on.

00:39:39.740 But if you were at school and you had a white shirt or something, your whole shirt of

00:39:43.060 your neck would start just getting green throughout the day.

00:39:45.320 Cause you'd sweat it down.

00:39:46.760 You know, it was harrowing.

00:39:48.940 How old are you?

00:39:49.820 I was probably 11, 12. 0.60

00:39:52.060 Me growing up, we had proactive or whatever the fuck that was. 0.85

00:39:55.040 That's what we did. 0.99

00:39:55.640 I don't, I don't remember this green shit you're talking about. 1.00

00:39:57.700 We had prayer and some other shit that they had. 0.99

00:40:00.080 Yeah. 0.93

00:40:00.480 Meeting the first girl was there.

00:40:01.780 Oh, I remember in our apartment complex, some dad, I remember this is the first girl

00:40:06.120 that I maybe had a crush on or something.

00:40:07.940 The dad got a daughter, a drum, right?

00:40:10.620 For Christmas or whatever.

00:40:11.720 Yeah.

00:40:12.360 And she would make her play like on the back porch, she would practice and I would go around

00:40:17.340 and listen and, um, she would play, uh, what's that Ice Cube song?

00:40:23.880 It's like, um.

00:40:24.840 It was a good day.

00:40:26.660 Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. 0.97

00:40:29.340 Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. 0.96

00:40:31.700 Yeah.

00:40:32.140 Kind of thank God.

00:40:33.900 Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum. 0.97

00:40:38.060 Yeah.

00:40:38.720 No bark, no, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, bum.

00:40:41.920 Love that song.

00:40:42.580 She would play that, dude. 0.99

00:40:43.180 And I would just go down there and I just fell in love listening to her play that. 0.57

00:40:46.880 Yeah.

00:40:47.180 And I remember that.

00:40:47.980 It was like the first.

00:40:48.460 And what happened between you guys?

00:40:50.340 Oh, nothing.

00:40:51.240 There was some violence between our families a little bit.

00:40:53.180 My brother had some issues, I think, with her brother, but there, uh, but that was like

00:40:56.680 the first crush.

00:40:57.760 What kind of violence?

00:40:58.720 Uh, somebody like got upset at somebody and somebody threw like, um, like a stomp or

00:41:04.040 whatever through somebody's bathroom window. 0.99

00:41:05.620 It got, they really got hot sometimes, dude, but I, but between me and her, she didn't know 0.97

00:41:11.260 that.

00:41:11.460 I don't think she ever knew that, but I would listen to her play that and the dad would 0.99

00:41:15.200 yell at her to fucking play it. 1.00

00:41:16.520 He was, I think a Raiders fan or whatever. 0.99

00:41:18.800 Um, anyway, sorry.

00:41:20.380 Kind of rambling.

00:41:21.380 Um, you just got back from India, right?

00:41:23.400 Yeah.

00:41:24.300 Nice dude.

00:41:24.860 How was that?

00:41:25.660 Have you ever done shows or anything in India?

00:41:27.180 I went to India when I was a student, we went to Madras and we worked at like a children's

00:41:31.940 home.

00:41:32.220 It was like, um, it was just a week, but it was magnificent, man.

00:41:35.300 Some of the most beautiful, energetic humans in the world, you know, like a lot of happiness

00:41:40.740 I felt like over there.

00:41:42.480 Um, so I really enjoyed it.

00:41:44.020 What was your experience like?

00:41:45.060 Yeah.

00:41:45.260 I enjoyed being there as well.

00:41:46.840 Um, well we, yeah, it was, it was pretty, pretty intense.

00:41:52.100 Not gonna lie.

00:41:52.620 We, we, like when I, I mean, it's, it got off to like, I literally, as I'm walking out

00:41:57.440 of the airport, there was just a bunch of people there waiting, you know?

00:42:00.480 Um, so I took some photos, said hi to people, whatever, got in my car.

00:42:04.280 Um, and then that video that someone filmed got posted on like this, uh, big, like, I

00:42:11.520 guess, uh, celebrities are like a really big thing, like Bollywood stars in India.

00:42:15.980 And so like they posted on this Instagram account and it got like 20 million views in

00:42:19.860 like the next 10 hours.

00:42:20.780 So basically, um, like everyone knew I was in India after that, which we also said we

00:42:26.220 were coming cause we were going to like, you know, uh, talk on a stage cause I was launching

00:42:29.980 a product and things like that.

00:42:30.860 But it got, uh, pretty intense cause people were trying to find which hotel I was in and

00:42:35.040 they were like camping out at all the hotels.

00:42:36.740 And so like, I'm like, as we're pulling in, like with my seat really reclined, cause I didn't

00:42:40.700 want to know.

00:42:41.260 And somehow they figured out which one we're staying at.

00:42:43.100 And then there's people waiting out there and there's, it, it got pretty crazy.

00:42:46.720 And then we, we just like launched our chocolate bar at a mall.

00:42:50.240 Um, there's a feastable over there.

00:42:51.620 Yeah.

00:42:51.880 Feastables we launched it over there.

00:42:53.020 And there was like, I mean, it was crazy.

00:42:55.520 The amount of people that showed up, um, we were, we were just talking on stage and whatever,

00:42:59.660 but the problem is so many people are showing up there that they like, like people were,

00:43:03.980 we're going on in places in the mall where they weren't supposed to getting in locked

00:43:07.280 doors and the line and crowd was getting so big.

00:43:09.620 They made us end it early and leave, which was annoying because like, I felt bad cause

00:43:13.820 so many people had showed up and I just wanted to at least like wave and say hi to a lot of

00:43:17.860 them.

00:43:17.980 Um, and then, yeah, we've just, uh, I met a lot of the biggest Indian creators over

00:43:23.700 there and super cool film, some stuff.

00:43:25.640 Wow.

00:43:26.200 Yeah.

00:43:26.360 We just, we, what was also interesting is, um, we did this, uh, meet and greet with a

00:43:32.580 bunch of, uh, Bollywood actors, like their kids and just said hi to them.

00:43:36.400 And, um, I've, I've just never watched any Bollywood films.

00:43:39.760 So I was just, you know, hanging out saying hi to some of these people.

00:43:42.700 And like, I took a photo with this kid and one parent.

00:43:45.220 And, uh, then one of the guys beside me who just works there was like, Hey, do you know

00:43:50.220 who that guy is?

00:43:50.760 It's this.

00:43:51.140 And he showed me like an Instagram account and he had like 60 million followers.

00:43:53.580 I was like, no, he's like, Oh, that was the guy I just met.

00:43:56.000 He's like, yeah, I was like, Oh, cool.

00:43:57.280 And then I took a photo and I said hi to another kid with, with, uh, his mom.

00:44:01.440 And he's like, the guy was like, she is, she's like in these movies and like this.

00:44:05.260 And there, he was like freaking out.

00:44:06.480 And I was like, and I, I didn't know who any of these people were.

00:44:08.820 And so I was like, okay, now I need you to tell me who they are before they

00:44:11.740 walk up.

00:44:12.240 And so he was like, it's just this random guy.

00:44:14.600 I just met.

00:44:15.480 Um, and he's just like, okay, here's, here's this person's Instagram account.

00:44:18.240 It'd be like 30 million followers.

00:44:19.380 Like there, apparently there's like twice as many people use, uh, Instagram in India

00:44:23.100 than in USA.

00:44:23.800 So I didn't know any of this, but like, it's a really good, you forget about that.

00:44:27.140 And just how many people there are.

00:44:28.340 Yeah.

00:44:28.580 And, uh, and, um, tick tock's banned in India.

00:44:31.120 So that makes more people use Instagram.

00:44:33.560 And so it's like really, really big over there.

00:44:35.800 Cause that was like, it was, I was, it was crazy.

00:44:37.980 There's so many people that I met that just had crazy high follower accounts.

00:44:41.520 And it's like, I, you don't see that over here in America.

00:44:44.080 And then I looked into the data cause I'm a data guy.

00:44:46.180 And I was like, oh my gosh, like a fuck load of people use it over there.

00:44:49.360 And the usage skyrocketed after they banned tick tock.

00:44:52.060 And same thing with YouTube, actually like India, more people watch YouTube in India

00:44:55.900 than in America.

00:44:56.500 Um, because again, like when America we're competing, it's tick tock over there.

00:45:01.240 They're not.

00:45:01.560 And then the fact that there's over a billion people.

00:45:03.140 So it's like, Oh, so YouTube is bigger over there too.

00:45:05.220 Then yeah.

00:45:05.760 YouTube's bigger over there.

00:45:06.760 So it's like a huge market, but, um, no, I had a great time.

00:45:09.760 Uh, and it was just, it was pretty intense though.

00:45:12.680 Like I posted an Instagram story showing us driving down the road and they're just everywhere

00:45:16.720 we drove.

00:45:17.300 There's just dozens of kids that would just run along the side of the road and follow

00:45:21.000 our car and things like that.

00:45:22.200 Yeah.

00:45:22.500 Yeah.

00:45:22.700 And so it was, it was, I felt, I felt love.

00:45:25.340 Yeah.

00:45:25.560 I felt very loved.

00:45:26.800 That's, that's for sure. 0.99

00:45:27.640 I was like, damn, people over here, they care. 0.98

00:45:30.460 Um, and it was, it was cool. 0.97

00:45:32.380 It's cool.

00:45:32.560 Yeah.

00:45:32.660 It's a lot of good energy over there and it's safe energy too.

00:45:35.260 So the excitement, I feel like in a place like Indy, you don't feel like it's going to

00:45:38.400 get to the place.

00:45:38.960 Was it getting shady you think?

00:45:40.500 Not like, uh, that I thought people would stab me, but they're, how do I say it in a

00:45:44.480 way where it doesn't sound like a being a diva?

00:45:45.920 They were a little less, uh, concerned for personal space over there.

00:45:51.260 There are, there are like more, they'll run up to you and get like really close.

00:45:55.280 Billions of people.

00:45:55.780 It's not a lot of personal space.

00:45:57.040 Yeah.

00:45:57.320 They're like, you can't get your own pillow.

00:45:58.820 Like in America, you know, people dab you up like a group of five or six people and they'll

00:46:03.220 stay a foot or two away, you know, but over there, like they'll just run up and hug

00:46:06.840 me and like get really, really close and it gets a little intense sometimes. 0.95

00:46:09.800 Like I noticed like some of them did not give a fuck about my personal space, especially 0.86

00:46:14.220 if it was a bigger group. 0.99

00:46:15.660 Oh, they'll hide in your mouth if you leave it open.

00:46:17.400 Yeah, I know.

00:46:17.960 So that was, that was an interesting thing.

00:46:19.920 They just, yeah, I remember being, they would, people were sleeping on the side of the road

00:46:23.700 there.

00:46:24.060 I remember in India when I was there, you would just be driving at night and people just,

00:46:27.000 you know, somebody was just walking and I guess they decided to get some rest or whatever.

00:46:30.380 Um, but yeah, you don't even get your own pillow in India.

00:46:33.620 Like you lay down and then there's other, you know, people have a little quad.

00:46:36.740 It's just, there's a lot of people there, you know, there's a lot of folks.

00:46:40.020 Um, you were talking about feastables, dude.

00:46:41.680 And thank you guys sent me some, you know, I'll go the whole day.

00:46:44.480 I don't need any sugar middle of the night, crack open to a box of feastables that some 0.99

00:46:48.120 asshole sent me. 0.99

00:46:49.560 And, uh, and they're awesome.

00:46:52.800 Thank you.

00:46:53.060 And the peanut butter one is probably my favorite one.

00:46:55.300 Thank you.

00:46:55.640 But then it's like, I just have so much, you know, I freak out in the middle of the 0.99

00:46:59.000 night and, uh, cause I'm just a damn sugar pervert. 0.97

00:47:02.620 And then now I just can't go back to bed, you know, but thank you.

00:47:06.540 And, um, but what I want to say is, would you ever do like a Willy Wonka type of thing?

00:47:10.940 Cause I feel like this, I mean, you already are kind of there, you know?

00:47:14.340 So, you know, we put 10 golden tickets in it one time.

00:47:17.820 No, I didn't know that.

00:47:18.480 Yeah.

00:47:18.820 No, it's all good.

00:47:19.560 So, uh, we, uh, it's funny you asked.

00:47:21.500 So yeah, that's a great idea.

00:47:23.000 We should, it's almost like we should put 10 golden tickets in random bars.

00:47:26.260 I should build a chocolate factory, fly them down and have them compete for it. 1.00

00:47:30.620 Did they, you already do all that?

00:47:31.820 Yeah.

00:47:32.520 Um, but it's, it's, it was pretty cool.

00:47:34.480 It was years ago.

00:47:35.040 Most of your fans probably have no idea I did it.

00:47:36.740 Um, so yeah, we put the golden tickets out.

00:47:39.220 I built a actual chocolate river and you know, it's funny this, I don't even know if I've

00:47:44.740 ever told this story, but we, I like it's the day before we're going to film, you know,

00:47:49.160 the 10 golden ticket winners are in town and I go to the chocolate factory to,

00:47:52.980 just, you know, check out things and the chocolate river is just not there.

00:47:58.360 Like we had, like literally had like a multiple feet deep spread across this like a warehouse,

00:48:04.160 like chocolate river, but it's like there, but then I come back the next day and it's

00:48:09.040 just not there.

00:48:09.700 Like it's literally empty.

00:48:10.920 The entire thing.

00:48:12.740 We don't know.

00:48:13.440 I mean, I guess there was like a hole in the, the, uh, lining on the bottom of the river

00:48:17.720 and we built it and it just all sank through it.

00:48:20.220 We, I don't know, but see that chocolate river right there.

00:48:22.920 Oh my God, bro.

00:48:23.800 I did not know this at all.

00:48:25.440 Yeah.

00:48:25.660 Pause it right there.

00:48:26.640 Uh, but the guy that took it, uh, no, that's Nolan, one of our friends.

00:48:30.220 And then that's a, he, every time someone got eliminated, they got in the boat.

00:48:33.180 We, uh, paddled them down the chocolate river out the factory.

00:48:35.500 But, uh, yeah, so it's like the, the day before and I just walk in and there's like a waterfall

00:48:40.760 and everything, but it's just empty. 0.74

00:48:42.180 And I'm like, where the fuck did my chocolate river go last night? 0.88

00:48:46.680 And so we had to like blitz to refill it and redo the entire thing. 1.00

00:48:50.880 It was a fucking shit show. 1.00

00:48:52.240 Just search up Mr. Beast chocolate factory and you can see like, he can see what it actually 1.00

00:48:56.260 looks like on YouTube.

00:48:58.020 Um, I'm sorry.

00:48:59.300 I'm so behind on that.

00:49:00.220 No, it's all good.

00:49:01.300 I mean, I have so many crazy stories. 1.00

00:49:02.660 I can tell you about the fucking crazy shit we've done. 1.00

00:49:05.520 Like who else has built a fucking chocolate factory? 1.00

00:49:08.220 Yeah. 1.00

00:49:08.580 I didn't even know.

00:49:09.520 Here, skip ahead to the inside.

00:49:11.300 Yeah.

00:49:11.740 Or yeah.

00:49:12.300 Right there. 1.00

00:49:12.900 Look at that shit and candy and everything. 1.00

00:49:15.620 Yeah. 1.00

00:49:15.800 Pause it.

00:49:16.300 Wow.

00:49:16.860 Yeah.

00:49:17.360 So those are real, real candy. 0.97

00:49:19.420 I mean, it was fucking difficult to keep the bugs out of there. 0.98

00:49:24.560 Oh yeah. 0.98

00:49:25.120 You don't think about that.

00:49:26.080 Bugs like candy.

00:49:26.860 Yeah.

00:49:27.100 And so we gave the, the winner the option of, you know, keep the factory or just have $500,000.

00:49:31.140 And I was like, yo, like this shot of fact or chocolate river is probably going to disappear.

00:49:35.480 It tends to do that.

00:49:36.700 Uh, these candies are all going to go bad in the next few days.

00:49:39.480 Is this going to be an absolute disaster?

00:49:42.120 Take the money.

00:49:42.920 I'd recommend you take them on.

00:49:44.060 I'll give it to you.

00:49:45.100 I mean, I'm not, you know, I will, but I just, it's going to cost you like six figures. 0.99

00:49:50.420 They're like, clean this shit up. 0.98

00:49:51.720 Like, I don't want to just dump that on you. 0.99

00:49:53.420 You know, Bobby Flay in that too.

00:49:55.820 Uh, at the end is Gordon Ramsey.

00:49:57.540 So the, the last challenge they did is they had to cook a dessert and then whoever, uh,

00:50:02.200 Gordon Ramsey said did the best one, the chocolate factory.

00:50:04.860 Oh wow.

00:50:05.660 And he looks a little bit like Charlie from the original chocolate factory.

00:50:08.500 Pull up a Charlie from the original chocolate factory photo there.

00:50:11.300 Let's do a little side by side.

00:50:12.580 Compare Gordon Ramsey to him.

00:50:14.240 And I'm going to be so accurate here, which blew my own mind actually.

00:50:18.160 Yeah, actually, actually Carl, the guy to the right of Gordon kind of looks like him.

00:50:21.920 Let's go.

00:50:22.240 Hold on.

00:50:23.180 Nope.

00:50:23.380 Nope.

00:50:23.620 The picture on one is up one, but no, that scroll.

00:50:27.260 Yeah.

00:50:27.980 Uh, no, right there to the left, left on that side, right there.

00:50:32.360 Yeah.

00:50:32.780 Carl kind of looks like that.

00:50:34.140 We're pretty close, huh?

00:50:35.240 Yeah.

00:50:35.660 Your imagination.

00:50:37.660 Pretty close right there. 1.00

00:50:39.400 Holy shit. 0.99

00:50:39.920 That could be him. 0.99

00:50:40.420 What is that shirtless photo of Gordon?

00:50:41.920 Wait, wait, wait.

00:50:42.400 No, go to that shirtless one. 0.53

00:50:43.720 What am I looking at?

00:50:44.560 Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.

00:50:45.580 When did he start posing like that?

00:50:48.060 I don't know.

00:50:48.980 My boy.

00:50:49.780 That's one vote for Bobby Kennedy right there, dude.

00:50:53.680 That's crazy, bro.

00:50:55.560 Oh, Bobby Flay.

00:50:56.520 Bobby Flay's daughter is beautiful, actually.

00:50:58.720 Man, I don't care if she hears it.

00:51:02.360 She's super talented. 0.67

00:51:03.640 That's exactly what I mean.

00:51:04.920 She's also a stunning young lady. 0.99

00:51:07.880 But what are we saying?

00:51:10.500 No, I got more to say.

00:51:11.980 I'll tell you this.

00:51:14.660 Yeah, so you already did that, man.

00:51:16.200 Yeah, and what's also interesting is while we were filming that video, I was doing a different video where I didn't eat any food for two weeks.

00:51:22.180 What's the longest fast you've ever done?

00:51:23.940 I just did three days the other day of only water.

00:51:26.860 How was it?

00:51:27.480 Or I did 72 hours.

00:51:28.760 It was good.

00:51:29.620 Got a little temperamental.

00:51:30.860 Yeah.

00:51:31.260 But I kind of enjoyed it.

00:51:32.300 And how long do you do?

00:51:33.280 I did 14 days, only water.

00:51:34.800 Only water.

00:51:35.360 Yeah, I lost, what was it, like 20-something pounds?

00:51:38.180 Was it to lose weight or just to?

00:51:39.840 You know, it was for a video just to see what happens. 0.97

00:51:42.500 And after, like, day five or six, like, you're pretty fucking drained. 0.55

00:51:48.420 Like, you have no energy. 0.58

00:51:49.520 You know what's interesting?

00:51:50.420 If you read online about extended fast, people will be like, oh, you'll lose minimal muscle mass and it's mostly fat, which seemed like a lot of Reddit threads and things when you first Google it.

00:51:59.560 That's what it tells you.

00:52:00.220 So I did a DEXA scan before I did my extended fast, you know, where they measure the fat and muscle in your body and do one after.

00:52:06.020 And I was like, I lost, like, six pounds of muscle.

00:52:09.460 It was, like, pretty depressing how much muscle I lost.

00:52:12.340 Yeah, you lose it.

00:52:13.200 Yeah, which, I mean, is obvious.

00:52:15.100 But that's not what the internet said would happen, which I was like, someone needs to, like, correct this.

00:52:19.280 Because, yeah, it was pretty depressing.

00:52:21.800 So I lost whatever.

00:52:23.100 It was, like, 13 pounds of fat, seven pounds of lean mass.

00:52:26.480 It's depressing because then you're so, you start to, and you don't want to explain to people, hey, I'm fat.

00:52:30.500 Because people think something's going on with you.

00:52:31.900 Yeah, but even after you start eating, like, the muscle didn't just come back.

00:52:35.180 So it's like, yeah, that was pretty brutal.

00:52:37.660 But it was intense not eating.

00:52:40.620 And I still was filming and working throughout it. 0.88

00:52:42.640 So, like, on day 10 and 11 and 12, like, it was really fucking with me.

00:52:46.420 Like, standing up was just, like, brutal, you know, and, like, walking around or anything like that because you have no energy.

00:52:52.360 You needed a real cane like Willy Wonka.

00:52:54.380 Yeah, yeah, that was intense.

00:52:56.820 And what were you, did you notice, like, but your clarity got pretty sharp as a whip.

00:53:00.960 Were you able to use that?

00:53:01.740 See, people say that, but no, for me, it never, that never hit.

00:53:04.400 I never got that, like, a superhuman clarity because that's what I was hoping for.

00:53:08.600 Yeah. 0.64

00:53:08.780 No, I just, like, I was just fucking tired, man, all the time. 0.74

00:53:12.040 I was too tired to have clarity. 1.00

00:53:14.080 Oh, I could read people's damn minds. 0.99

00:53:15.900 I thought that guy was naked at first on the right. 0.99

00:53:18.260 Former All-Pro NFL tackle Russell Okung is also over 150 pounds since retiring, including losing 100 pounds in 40 days by fasting every day.

00:53:27.600 Yeah.

00:53:28.780 That's just, that's crazy.

00:53:29.780 We just started a video where we, or we're about to start it after, when I go back home, we built a gym, like, just a weightlifting gym.

00:53:38.300 And then we put a big red circle around it.

00:53:40.400 And then we're going to give a guy, either, I don't know which one, if he loses 100 pounds before he leaves that red circle.

00:53:48.980 And so, and he has a trainer in there and he has a chef at everything he'll need.

00:53:52.260 And then, yeah.

00:53:54.120 And then.

00:53:54.700 Exciting.

00:53:55.280 Yeah.

00:53:55.540 So, like, that video might take, like, a year, you know.

00:53:58.300 And so, he just, he's living in there.

00:53:59.760 We have cameras set up.

00:54:00.800 And it's just, like, lose 100 pounds or leave, you know.

00:54:04.540 And if you lose 100 pounds before you leave, you win the money.

00:54:07.080 That's fair, dude.

00:54:08.160 They should do that around, like, an IndyCar race, you know.

00:54:12.140 Why?

00:54:12.540 Just put a big, huge circle around, like, a Talladega or whatever.

00:54:16.760 Why?

00:54:17.320 And just be, like, lose 100 pounds.

00:54:21.480 Oh, I didn't think about the end of it.

00:54:23.740 Another video we're about to start, too, is I bought a jet.

00:54:26.620 And then we're grabbing two people who just, like, graduated from pilot school or whatever, just got their license.

00:54:32.040 And we're going, if you guys live in this jet for the next 100 days, don't step foot out of it once.

00:54:36.500 For the next 100 days, you get to keep the jet.

00:54:38.300 So, then they'll own a private jet.

00:54:39.720 But they can fly it around or do whatever, just as long as they don't leave.

00:54:42.420 They just can't leave.

00:54:43.220 Yeah.

00:54:43.600 So, like, I'm hoping they'll, like, fly to New York and just Uber eat some pizza to the door of the jet.

00:54:47.580 Then fly to California or whatever.

00:54:49.640 And it's just, like, yeah, that'll be a fun one.

00:54:52.160 Yeah, that sounds interesting.

00:54:53.460 Is there a video?

00:54:54.220 Say if you got to, they shut you down.

00:54:55.900 They're like, beast, you're done.

00:54:57.340 No more beasting around here, boy. 0.90

00:54:59.600 Get out of here, beast. 0.96

00:55:01.760 What if people were like that?

00:55:03.340 And then you had to make, you got to make one more video.

00:55:05.860 Do you know what it would be, you think?

00:55:08.760 That's only one more.

00:55:10.100 I mean.

00:55:10.640 Because you're already, I mean, you've got the $5 million.

00:55:12.880 You know, you've upped the ante.

00:55:14.140 Yeah.

00:55:14.560 Well, that's on the show.

00:55:15.680 But on YouTube, because I don't have that, I don't have streaming money on YouTube.

00:55:19.180 You know what I mean?

00:55:20.220 I don't know, man.

00:55:21.860 We've, there's not, because there's so many things I want to do.

00:55:24.820 It'd be hard to pick one.

00:55:25.660 Oh, there are?

00:55:26.100 Yeah.

00:55:26.680 You still have a ton of ideas.

00:55:28.580 Unlimited.

00:55:29.100 I mean, the bottleneck for me is not ideas.

00:55:30.860 It's just like actually pulling them off, you know, because a lot of these are multi-million

00:55:33.740 dollar projects that take months upon months to set up, months to film, months to edit,

00:55:37.320 et cetera.

00:55:37.660 So it's just like, they're pretty brutal.

00:55:39.640 Like one of the ones we did recently that I thought was really cool, but like, this is

00:55:43.700 an example of how much time it takes is we built a bunker underground.

00:55:48.960 Did you see that one?

00:55:49.840 I know.

00:55:50.240 I'm not sure.

00:55:50.640 Okay.

00:55:51.080 But so we had to dig like a super deep hole.

00:55:54.120 We bought a bunker, put it in, cover it up and then pull up the, like the outside of

00:55:58.300 it for him.

00:55:58.660 So he can see what it looks like.

00:55:59.580 And then we had to, yeah, that top one right there.

00:56:01.920 I've seen some of this.

00:56:03.140 Yeah.

00:56:03.160 So that, that's a bunker we built.

00:56:04.840 And then those two people, if they lived in there for a hundred days, they want half

00:56:08.460 a million dollars.

00:56:09.140 Oh, they did it too.

00:56:10.020 Yeah.

00:56:10.360 Yeah.

00:56:10.560 And then like, but you have to set deck the bunker and then, um, so that's like multiple

00:56:14.520 months of building and everything.

00:56:16.260 And then you put them in there and then that's still three months and 10 days of filming.

00:56:20.360 And then, you know, you have to have like camera crew there going around the clock and

00:56:24.100 you have to have a medic there just for safety and all these other things.

00:56:27.020 And I have to check in every day.

00:56:28.220 And then now you come out the other end, you have a hundred days worth of footage, which takes,

00:56:31.320 you know, editing team forever to come through and watch and edit and then build stories.

00:56:34.840 So like, that's like a eight month long project, you know what I mean?

00:56:38.260 So that's, they're just like, it's a lot.

00:56:40.880 Yeah.

00:56:41.080 It's very, very intense.

00:56:42.520 And, and that's the thing is like the fact that I can do all this for a YouTube video,

00:56:48.360 it was like unfathomable when I was growing up.

00:56:51.160 Like, it's crazy to see like the kind of, um, content that can be supported by YouTube.

00:56:55.840 You know, like I think on that video, we probably spent like four and a half million dollars,

00:56:59.060 um, making that.

00:57:00.440 Yeah.

00:57:00.680 I just found that between the bunker and the price pool and everything.

00:57:03.180 And how many, uh, shows can you have, like, can you have a couple of things going like

00:57:06.960 that at once?

00:57:07.660 Yeah, we have to, I try to upload two videos a month.

00:57:10.300 So we have to be working on six to eight videos at a time because these videos take months

00:57:15.120 to pull off.

00:57:15.800 So if we're only working on one at a time, then I'd only upload once every like three

00:57:19.900 or four months.

00:57:20.840 And do you come up with most of the ideas yourself or do you have kind of a team when you guys

00:57:23.980 kind of pull them?

00:57:24.780 Yeah.

00:57:24.940 So that's where it's interesting because, uh, the ideas are incredibly important because

00:57:29.900 like you, I do a lot of seven day challenges, right?

00:57:33.280 I spent seven days buried alive.

00:57:34.320 I spent seven days in solitary confinement, seven days of cave, underground city, seven

00:57:37.740 days on zero Island, blah, blah, blah.

00:57:38.940 And then what's interesting is like, you could do seven days buried alive.

00:57:42.280 So me laying in a coffin for seven days, or you could do theoretically, right?

00:57:46.300 I could lay in a bathtub for seven days, right?

00:57:49.320 Both take the same amount of my time.

00:57:51.160 Both are me just laying there, but the one in the bathtub isn't going to get any views. 0.99

00:57:54.740 No one gives a fuck. 0.98

00:57:55.320 The one of me laying in a tomb underground, everyone will care. 1.00

00:57:58.540 Cause it's like fucking what the fuck this dude buried himself alive. 0.99

00:58:01.120 So it like shows like the theoretically it's kind of the same thing, but this idea is just 0.99

00:58:07.620 in a different setting environment and we'll probably get 10,000 times more views.

00:58:10.820 And so it shows like the importance of the idea, if that makes sense.

00:58:13.860 Like it's not, uh, views or successes and just isn't directly correlated with the effort

00:58:19.360 you put in.

00:58:19.900 A lot of it has to do with what is the overarching concept.

00:58:22.760 And so once you kind of realize that you just like, you're really obsessed with how do

00:58:27.180 I come up with crazy, cool, original viral ideas?

00:58:30.120 And so that's what I spent most of my teenage years obsessing over.

00:58:33.660 And I used to do every single day, I would brainstorm video ideas and I'd write them, write

00:58:38.100 them down.

00:58:38.480 And that's how I built like, I have this like Google sheet with like 10,000 ideas on it. 0.55

00:58:42.460 I mean, it's ridiculous.

00:58:43.060 I thought of trying to sell that to YouTubers at one point because there's so many there 1.00

00:58:46.160 I could never film them.

00:58:46.980 But then after a while, now that things have gotten so big and I have to like film 25,

00:58:51.880 28 days a month and I have all this stuff going on, I can't do an hour a day.

00:58:54.940 So I hired people to do it for me.

00:58:56.700 And then, you know, like once a week they'll just go, Hey, here's 200 really cool, unique

00:59:00.860 ideas.

00:59:01.440 I'll flip through them.

00:59:02.300 And, you know, and they'll usually inspire something in my head because a big thing too, is like,

00:59:05.960 this is what I've probably said this on podcasts before, but like if there was a, like a fruit

00:59:11.620 in Africa that if you ate, you grew two feet taller and you didn't know that existed until

00:59:16.020 I just told you right now, right?

00:59:17.560 You wouldn't have been able to brainstorm ideas around eating that fruit.

00:59:20.300 But now that you know it exists, you could.

00:59:22.300 And so it's like very important to always be intaking new information and learning things

00:59:28.380 because that's how you, you know, come up with more original creative stuff.

00:59:32.540 Like I, I noticed when I first started hiring people to like, you know, start brainstorming

00:59:36.620 stuff for me that like after two months of someone doing this, you would just basically

00:59:41.540 start getting the same ideas on autopilot, right?

00:59:43.440 Like if a guy really likes basketball, you'll start to notice like, Oh, 10% of his ideas

00:59:47.800 have to do a basketball, but it's not because basketball is like the greatest ideas and most

00:59:52.300 viral thing.

00:59:52.720 It's just because that's what he watches.

00:59:53.760 And so, you know, and you'll notice if someone watches baseball though, Oh, now they conveniently

00:59:58.180 have baseball ideas.

00:59:59.080 And, and so what you want is you just want to get someone who you just almost like want

01:00:04.360 to make them constantly learn and absorb new information.

01:00:07.160 Listen to 10 different podcasts, one episode of each, not 10 of one.

01:00:11.120 Listen, you know, watch every sport, not one.

01:00:13.300 And you, you almost have to like to train people to help you come up with good ideas.

01:00:16.720 You have to just train them to watch a bunch of different content and absorb information

01:00:20.640 and you'll see it come out in their ideas.

01:00:22.460 If that makes sense.

01:00:23.180 So first of all, you'd find somebody who you like, okay, I like this, that this person comes

01:00:26.320 up with ideas and then you'd be like, now I just need to have, I need them to encourage

01:00:30.320 them to consume different things.

01:00:31.780 It's almost like different ingredients to come out with a different cake or whatever.

01:00:35.480 Exactly.

01:00:35.980 Yeah.

01:00:36.300 So you control their information diet and by, you know, information diet.

01:00:39.920 That's so wild.

01:00:40.780 I mean, and that's, yeah, I mean, I obsess over things.

01:00:44.400 So yeah, it's important, but that's, that's, that's been super helpful.

01:00:47.200 Um, because yeah, it's just, that's how we, cause a big part of getting a hundred million

01:00:53.180 views theoretically on a video is if, uh, any, you know, is it something someone has

01:00:58.120 seen before or not?

01:00:59.320 Like, uh, there's this Ted talk I watched one time and he was talking about how, you

01:01:03.280 know, if you're driving down the road and you just see a cow, you, you probably not

01:01:06.920 even going to look at it.

01:01:07.620 Right.

01:01:07.940 Who cares?

01:01:08.640 You've seen him all the time.

01:01:09.400 But if you're driving down the road and there's a purple cow, you're going to look like four 0.95

01:01:13.620 times.

01:01:14.080 You're going to remember that like you, you know, someone could ask you a year later and

01:01:16.780 you'll be like, yeah, I saw a purple cow.

01:01:17.980 And it's like, the only difference is it's purple.

01:01:20.120 And it's kind of the same way on social media, right?

01:01:22.460 Like if you're scrolling through videos and it's something you've seen before, nothing

01:01:26.360 too crazy.

01:01:27.040 It's just the, it's almost like you should visualize as like, that's the equivalent of

01:01:30.300 someone seeing a cow.

01:01:31.300 But if it's something they've never seen before, like you putting a bunker underground and two

01:01:35.200 people living in it, that's, that is the equivalent of a purple cow on social media.

01:01:38.920 Like, how do I make something that Prince would drink milk out of, you know?

01:01:42.280 Wait, what'd you just say?

01:01:43.500 Like, how do you make something that Prince would drink milk out of?

01:01:46.360 Prince, um, Prince musician.

01:01:48.760 What's his last name?

01:01:51.140 Prince.

01:01:51.720 Prince.

01:01:52.260 Okay.

01:01:52.500 You know, I'm talking about Prince from Minnesota?

01:01:54.260 No.

01:01:55.080 Oh, Prince.

01:01:55.960 I've heard the word.

01:01:57.460 Little Rick Corvette.

01:01:59.160 Yeah.

01:01:59.600 You know that song?

01:02:00.040 He's a musician, but purple, he was like a purple guy.

01:02:03.200 Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.

01:02:03.780 So like, how do you make this, right?

01:02:05.760 Gotcha.

01:02:06.060 2,000 princes, right?

01:02:09.200 But he's the, he's.

01:02:10.680 He's the one-on-one.

01:02:11.820 Yeah.

01:02:12.160 He's Prince.

01:02:12.920 Gotcha, gotcha.

01:02:13.540 Right?

01:02:14.420 Like, that's what I'm saying.

01:02:15.340 Like, how do you.

01:02:16.580 I gotcha, I gotcha.

01:02:17.300 Yeah.

01:02:17.740 I'm saying the same thing you're saying, I think.

01:02:19.500 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:02:19.680 So that's, that's a very important thing.

01:02:22.300 So it's just, if anyone watching ever wants to do social media, make your ideas the purple cow.

01:02:28.020 Don't just be the cow.

01:02:29.260 Yeah.

01:02:29.440 We'll blend in.

01:04:29.080 Sent me them.

01:04:29.760 Yeah, I had dang so many.

01:04:31.160 I don't even wear neckties.

01:04:33.440 I had enough of them.

01:04:34.120 You could rappel down a dang third-story building side of it.

01:04:38.760 And I was like, I got to stop this.

01:05:41.040 You'll figure it out yourself, will you?

01:05:43.120 How long are you going to tell yourself that?

01:05:46.060 You know, I would tell myself things for years.

01:05:47.800 Oh, this will get better in five years, and it's the same.

01:05:50.000 In 10 years, and it's the same.

01:05:53.060 Now, I don't know that therapy would definitely help, but nothing changes if nothing changes.

01:06:51.680 Like, what are some common misconceptions about you or your work, do you feel like?

01:06:55.740 Well, that's a good one.

01:06:56.580 Um, I would say the biggest one is, I think, uh, people think we make content for kids

01:07:05.300 and, like, you know, but...

01:07:06.620 Ooh, that's a great one.

01:07:07.340 Yeah.

01:07:07.680 Great answer.

01:07:08.340 Yeah, and it's, uh, a lot of, because I've been famous, famous, air quotes, I don't know,

01:07:14.440 but for a while now, and I, the thing is, when I was, like, in my young, like, 20 years,

01:07:19.580 I'm 26 now, and I was, like, 20 or 21, I didn't have much experience with storytelling

01:07:24.120 or, or, like, making these, like, videos with contestants and, like, how to, like,

01:07:28.160 show what they were feeling or anything.

01:07:30.020 So, back then, the videos came across a little, like, uh, ADHD, like, fast-paced or whatever,

01:07:35.180 because I, it's not like I had Christopher Nolan as a father teaching me.

01:07:37.920 I was just learning storytelling as I was going.

01:07:39.940 So, a lot of my videos back then got a lot of views, and, like, same when I was, like,

01:07:43.980 22 or 23, but, you know, the last three years, we've really leveled up the storytelling

01:07:48.060 and building characters, and especially the last 18 months, and gotten better at, like,

01:07:51.560 making content that, um, you know, people in their 20s and 30s would be, like, well,

01:07:55.980 this is, like, good and could enjoy, but because a lot of people haven't seen my newer videos

01:08:01.240 and watched my older ones, they still think all my videos are like that, so they just kind of,

01:08:04.460 like, push it off.

01:08:05.300 So, like, when someone says, like, ah, your videos are too ADHD, and you don't have any

01:08:10.660 storytelling, I'll usually, like, show them, like, one or two of our newer videos, and I'm, like,

01:08:13.940 oh, my God, this is great, and I was, like, yeah, let me guess, you just haven't seen a video

01:08:17.060 in two years, and I'm, like, yeah, and so that kind of is a little bit of a misconception

01:08:21.260 I'm constantly fighting.

01:08:22.860 Yeah, is that you're still, like, this kind of just entertainment for kids, or that your

01:08:26.100 entertainment, your ability to entertain is also still junior.

01:08:31.100 Yeah, exactly, and so, um, which, obviously, younger people watch the videos.

01:08:35.340 Oh, yeah, great.

01:08:35.600 I mean, I think, like, anyone, you know, could watch that bunker video and be, like, whoa,

01:08:39.520 this is just high-quality entertaining stuff.

01:08:41.420 It's not like you have to be.

01:08:42.140 Oh, I love that.

01:08:42.440 Yeah, it's not like you have to be.

01:08:43.040 The child inside of me liked it, and the adult inside of me liked it.

01:08:45.780 Exactly.

01:08:46.380 You know?

01:08:46.860 So that would be one.

01:08:49.040 I guess other misconceptions of it is, like, we, I mean, we, it looks like a lot of these

01:08:55.440 videos just, you know, it just looks like me and the boys having fun, because that's

01:08:59.680 what I want it to look like.

01:09:00.440 I want to put the boys in an environment where they're just themselves and things like

01:09:03.300 that.

01:09:03.740 I think people think what I do is a lot easier than it is. 0.99

01:09:06.720 Like, like, these things are monster, monumental projects that are a bitch to fucking do. 1.00

01:09:13.000 And it's like, you know, and you know, a hundred plus million people are going to watch it. 0.98

01:09:16.820 And, you know, like, so everything's just got to be fucking great and perfect.

01:09:19.640 And, but we don't have years to do these things. 0.58

01:09:21.940 We're trying to do what most people would do in a year, in two months.

01:09:24.500 So it's like, you know, it is tight timelines.

01:09:26.780 And it's, it's just, we don't have the budgets of these giant studios or anything when we're

01:09:31.080 doing these YouTube videos.

01:09:32.000 And it's just, it's, it's very, very difficult.

01:09:34.360 You know what I mean?

01:09:34.740 Like I have hundreds of employees full time.

01:09:36.940 You do.

01:09:37.380 Yeah.

01:09:37.700 That depend on that YouTube channel.

01:09:39.540 You know what I mean?

01:09:40.100 At Mr. Beast Productions.

01:09:41.460 Yeah.

01:09:42.020 Yeah.

01:09:42.320 I, I don't even know if we have, I guess Mr. Beast Studios.

01:09:44.820 But yeah, it's a, it's just a lot of pressure because it's a, yeah, it's just a lot of people

01:09:49.800 depend on it.

01:09:50.460 These, and it's, it's just absurd to think that I have all these employees and we're spending

01:09:54.220 all this money.

01:09:54.940 And I just assume like the magical YouTube algorithm when I post this video is just going to give

01:09:59.980 it to a hundred million people every single time.

01:10:01.980 And it's like, it's just like, that's a lot of stress.

01:10:04.400 And it's like, it's a lot of people who, you know, watch the, it's just a lot of everything.

01:10:08.860 It's a lot of pressure, a lot of stress.

01:10:10.400 And it's like, if I don't film, then there's no video.

01:10:13.720 So it's also not a typical business because, you know, you can, any other company, you can

01:10:18.220 replace basically anyone.

01:10:19.720 But you are the business.

01:10:20.560 Exactly.

01:10:20.860 I am like, literally, if I'm just like, yo, for the next month, I don't want to film.

01:10:25.440 The business is dead.

01:10:26.440 Do you know what I mean?

01:10:27.100 So it's like, it's a, yeah, it's, I, I wouldn't, I, I just, it's a lot.

01:10:34.840 It's just a lot.

01:10:35.340 No, it seems like a lot.

01:10:36.560 But do you, did you know it was going to be that much stress?

01:10:39.080 Do you find that you like the stress?

01:10:40.640 Like, I remember even just for myself, right?

01:10:43.080 Like we have responsibilities now.

01:10:44.800 We do like six episodes a month now.

01:10:46.820 And at first I remember I could barely do one episode a week was tough.

01:10:51.040 In some weeks it still is.

01:10:52.180 But then some days I'll go through and it's like, this just starts to feel easier.

01:10:55.880 I start to kind of acclimate to where I am.

01:10:58.260 And then there's a part of my brain that's like, okay, well now what can we do? 0.99

01:11:01.520 But that same part of my brain is just the brain that, that forgets like fucking, we barely 0.99

01:11:05.700 just got to this place. 0.99

01:11:07.220 And are we even okay here?

01:11:09.260 Right.

01:11:09.580 So it's tough for me to like monitor the different parts of my brain.

01:11:12.400 The one that wants to do more or try new things.

01:11:15.780 And the one that also wants to make sure we're okay where we're at and not forget.

01:11:20.200 And be happy.

01:11:20.720 Right.

01:11:21.120 And be happy.

01:11:21.780 Yeah.

01:11:22.040 It's like, yeah.

01:11:23.380 So most of the time I work now, it's like, I guess what my, my question is like, I don't

01:11:29.040 know what it is, man.

01:11:29.760 Do you know what it is?

01:11:30.820 I get what you're trying to ask.

01:11:31.780 It's like, how do you, which side of the pendulum are you swinging between being stressed

01:11:36.520 and wanting to die constantly or like prioritizing being happy and, and

01:11:39.520 like that basically.

01:11:40.700 Yeah.

01:11:40.880 And are you able to battle that?

01:11:42.080 Do you know, did you know you were as competitive in, and, or do you think you're competing

01:11:46.100 against like the algorithm or you want people to see it?

01:11:49.340 Like, you know, what is that thing that are you able to notice?

01:11:51.760 Like, cause I don't even know sometimes what drives me to do things or even want to learn

01:11:55.840 more.

01:11:56.180 Yeah.

01:11:56.500 I would say I, like you, I'm just incredibly, incredibly, incredibly competitive.

01:12:02.300 I just love winning.

01:12:03.620 And I, it's the thing is, I think people have a misconception.

01:12:06.220 They like try to put everyone, especially famous people in a box where it's like, this

01:12:09.880 is what motivates them.

01:12:10.680 And this one reason is why they do everything.

01:12:12.320 And I, I believe you can be motivated by multiple things, right?

01:12:16.440 Like one thing that pushes me is the fact that, you know, a lot of my friends I grew

01:12:20.620 up with work for me and right.

01:12:21.760 And I don't want to ever have to fire them because we can't afford to pay them.

01:12:24.540 I have people who, you know, moved across the world to come work for me.

01:12:28.040 So, you know, that's one thing that motivates me being able to provide for the people who

01:12:31.540 risked everything.

01:12:32.520 Another thing that motivates me is I just love entertaining people.

01:12:35.140 And the fact that I get to entertain a hundred million people or 200 million people or whatever

01:12:39.100 it is, like, I think our average videos are doing 200 million views the first year.

01:12:42.000 Like, I know that's a thing that won't last forever.

01:12:45.180 Right.

01:12:45.560 I mean, that's like, at some point, you know, I'm not going to be able to upload something

01:12:49.780 and 3% of the humans alive are going to watch it.

01:12:52.460 You know what I mean?

01:12:52.780 So part of it is I want to make sure I'm like taking advantage of the opportunity I

01:12:56.780 have here because this is like, I, what, and when I'm 40, I can't expect that.

01:13:00.280 You know what I mean?

01:13:01.020 Like, um, and so that's one.

01:13:02.820 And another one is like, it just, for whatever reason, it just is like built in my blood.

01:13:08.180 Like, this is just what I do.

01:13:09.800 Like working is just what I live for.

01:13:12.420 And like, I don't really know what else to do with my life.

01:13:15.620 Like it just, I'm just a machine that goes.

01:13:17.520 And if I'm not working on something like stimulating and pushing and innovating, I just

01:13:21.900 kind of get depressed.

01:13:22.760 And like, I'm like, why am I alive?

01:13:24.960 What am I doing?

01:13:25.780 You know, you get that from was your, one of your folks, you think?

01:13:28.580 No, I've just kind of always been like this.

01:13:30.180 My mom hates it.

01:13:30.880 Cause I don't really celebrate wins or anything.

01:13:32.980 I just always grinding on things.

01:13:35.620 And, um, yeah, I don't know.

01:13:38.280 I think just some people are hardwired like that.

01:13:40.120 And I think, but I, I, I think, um, you just gotta be who you are.

01:13:44.700 Like that, it just is who I am, but there's, there's other people who see my lifestyle.

01:13:48.540 Cause I've talked about it on podcasts and, you know, a lot of creators want to be like

01:13:51.540 me and, um, and then they end up scaling up bigger teams and they end up trying to do 0.98

01:13:55.240 videos like me and then they end up there find out they're miserable and they'd fucking 0.98

01:13:58.440 hate it. 0.97

01:13:58.780 And it's too much stress and pressure.

01:13:59.960 And so I wouldn't, I wouldn't advise this for most creators, right?

01:14:03.300 Like I don't, I like, I don't have work-life balance.

01:14:05.680 I just, you don't work.

01:14:07.120 No, I just, I mean, I'm like, there are some months where, you know, I film 28 days and

01:14:12.680 I still have to run festivals.

01:14:13.940 I still do, uh, you know, uh, film 28 days on the main channel that I, I film for our

01:14:18.480 beast philanthropy channel.

01:14:19.240 I still film stuff for Tik TOK cause we have over a hundred million followers to Tik TOK and

01:14:22.140 I have to do stuff on Instagram.

01:14:23.220 I still have to network and do these things.

01:14:25.300 And, um, it's, it's like, I mean, it's basically if my eyes are open, I'm, it's like, you know,

01:14:31.500 I have a person whose job is just to help me basically write everything I want to accomplish

01:14:36.060 on a whiteboard.

01:14:36.920 I mean, it will take up the size of this wall and it's like all my priles and things

01:14:40.160 I could be doing things I should be doing things.

01:14:41.800 Other people need me to be doing.

01:14:43.340 And then, you know, we'll just go in the next seven days, I'll circle all the things I want

01:14:47.700 to do ancillary on top of what naturally I have to do.

01:14:50.160 And, um, and then he'll just like schedule out basically every second my eyes are open.

01:14:54.480 Wow.

01:14:54.900 Um, and, and, uh, which is good because it helps me, I sometimes fall into the trap of

01:14:59.840 being reactive.

01:15:00.520 Like, you know, my content, you know, channel needs me to film this, this needs feastables

01:15:04.820 needs me to do this.

01:15:05.560 And, but you know, you're never going to achieve something great if you're just constantly

01:15:09.120 like, like a ping pong ball being told what you need to do by your employees.

01:15:12.400 So occasionally you need to be proactive and do other things that, you know, other people

01:15:16.260 wouldn't think of and be a little bit more of a visionary.

01:15:17.920 So doing that kind of helps make sure I'm prioritizing things correctly and things like

01:15:22.020 that.

01:15:22.420 Well, it's interesting because in the beginning you're kind of working for yourself because

01:15:26.220 you're the creator, but then you build an audience and then you start to work for the

01:15:29.640 audience in a weird way.

01:15:30.900 Right?

01:15:31.420 Yeah.

01:15:31.840 Yeah.

01:15:32.160 Um, and there's no judgment against that, but I just noticed that in my own life in the

01:15:35.060 beginning, like I'd give anything to have an audience, you know, but it's more like

01:15:37.860 me, it felt like me being me, but then it's also starts to feel like you now, and now

01:15:42.340 you have the audience.

01:15:43.000 Now you have somebody to work for.

01:15:44.160 You, you, I, yeah, cause you technically couldn't just 180 and like, you know, uh, cause

01:15:49.540 if you did, you'd lose your audience.

01:15:50.840 And so, yeah, I guess technically you're working, working for them in a way.

01:15:54.020 Yeah.

01:15:54.440 Yeah.

01:15:54.760 Yeah.

01:15:55.380 Um, yeah.

01:15:56.160 I was going to say, what did you learn about being a boss?

01:15:58.020 Like, cause I never wanted to be like having any employees, right?

01:16:01.380 I never even wanted to be an employee.

01:16:03.880 I didn't want to have any employees.

01:16:05.740 I wanted to have pizza, you know, you know, sounds like the life.

01:16:09.320 Yeah.

01:16:09.720 You know what I'm saying?

01:16:10.520 I'm wanting to live in a park. 0.99

01:16:12.120 But what I'm saying is, um, oh shit, hold on. 0.99

01:16:15.980 I know what it is. 0.99

01:16:16.920 I think that, what did you learn about yourself?

01:16:19.540 Like about being a boss?

01:16:20.680 Like I learned that if I don't show up in a comfortable way, then, uh, it's, it affects

01:16:25.600 my, how my employees are.

01:16:27.540 I've learned that I have to communicate better as to what I want or cause people don't just

01:16:31.340 know what I want.

01:16:32.340 Yeah.

01:16:32.520 Like those are some things that I've learned, learned the hard way kind of, were there things

01:16:35.540 that you've learned just about being a boss?

01:16:37.220 Oh, I mean, of course.

01:16:39.540 Um, cause I went from one to, I think now across everything I employ over 400 people.

01:16:44.360 So full time.

01:16:45.520 So it's like, yeah, I mean that when I first started hiring people, I was, I was 19.

01:16:49.840 So like, or not maybe even 18.

01:16:51.920 So I was a teenager with no idea.

01:16:54.020 I mean, yeah, you asked what I learned. 0.98

01:16:55.880 I mean, at the start, I literally went to, this is how stupid I was when I was a teenager. 0.96

01:16:59.900 I literally went to, uh, a comedy club or whatever comedy tree. 0.97

01:17:04.820 What was it?

01:17:05.200 Comedy.

01:17:05.480 It was just the open mic.

01:17:06.720 Oh, an open mic.

01:17:07.700 Yeah.

01:17:07.880 Tariq was one of the people I hired there.

01:17:08.940 It's funny.

01:17:09.220 He's still here seven days later, seven years later.

01:17:11.040 But, uh, I went to an open mic and I was just like, you know, um, I want my YouTube channel

01:17:17.060 to be a little funnier.

01:17:17.800 So I'm just going to go hire some random comedians at an open mic.

01:17:20.460 So I just went to one and then I just was like writing on like a notepad every time they,

01:17:24.500 they made me laugh, the comedians.

01:17:26.300 And then the ones that made me laugh the most, they just afterwards went backstage and I was

01:17:29.520 like, yo, you want a job?

01:17:30.640 You want to help me make YouTube videos?

01:17:31.840 And that's how I first started hiring.

01:17:33.700 And then after that, I went into like my local Best Buy, you know, like the electronics store. 0.99

01:17:38.000 This, I mean, it's fucking stupid, but I didn't know what I was doing. 0.98

01:17:41.580 Like, obviously if you want to hire people, you should just go find production people or 0.99

01:17:45.760 people with creative experience or whatever, not going to a local Best Buy.

01:17:48.840 And I hired like seven people in my local electronic store.

01:17:51.660 And so I have like this ragtag group of, uh, comedians and this ragtag group of people 0.99

01:17:57.180 who sell fucking laptops. 0.95

01:17:58.720 And I'm like, yo, and mixed in with some people I just hired from my high school. 0.99

01:18:02.480 And I'm like, and we're making these videos that are getting views and like, I'm scaling

01:18:06.500 up and I'm like, you know, I'm like, guys, let's give my 3 million subscriber 3 million

01:18:10.000 pennies. 0.78

01:18:10.360 And they're like, how the fuck do we get 3 million pennies? 0.96

01:18:12.380 I'm like, I don't know. 1.00

01:18:13.220 And we're just like brute forcing shit. 1.00

01:18:15.640 And I mean, it was an absolute dumpster fire. 0.99

01:18:17.740 I didn't know what I was doing because I wish I had a mentor or something.

01:18:21.880 Um, but then after a while I realized, oh, maybe I should hire people who have a little

01:18:26.100 bit of experience in this field, not laptop salesmen and comedians.

01:18:30.160 And, um, over time we kind of, I started to figure it out.

01:18:33.680 And, um, but you stayed in motion.

01:18:35.400 It sounds like too, though.

01:18:36.060 Like you kept, you were like, this is how I do.

01:18:38.160 I need something funny.

01:18:38.900 I'll go to a place that has funny.

01:18:40.040 I need a guy who can, you know, sell refrigerators, but talk about also iPods, right?

01:18:45.820 I'll go to a Best Buy, right?

01:18:47.260 Yeah. 0.99

01:18:47.460 The Best Buy is the dumbest thing I've ever done in my life. 1.00

01:18:49.460 Pretty crazy. 1.00

01:18:50.420 Cause some of those people are just smoking weed and wearing a shirt.

01:18:53.740 They're not even clocked in.

01:18:55.160 Yeah.

01:18:55.600 It was like wearing a blue shirt.

01:18:57.060 It was not the high.

01:18:57.760 Yeah.

01:18:58.120 The highest quality people.

01:18:59.420 Yeah.

01:18:59.600 Um, one of them ended up being a convicted felon too.

01:19:02.680 And I didn't even realize that when I hired him, but yeah, so it's just like, oh, you

01:19:06.940 know, Best Buy hired them.

01:19:08.700 I'm sure they do.

01:19:10.080 They're fine.

01:19:10.740 Yeah.

01:19:10.940 I realized I was supposed to do background checks when I was a teenager.

01:19:14.400 Obviously we do that now, but yeah.

01:19:16.260 I mean, everything I, I didn't know how payroll worked or taxes.

01:19:20.280 I didn't know.

01:19:21.320 I didn't know what a CFO was or bookkeeping.

01:19:23.580 So it's just like a lot.

01:19:25.560 Um, and I just had to learn it through trial and error, but this, we have an audience the

01:19:28.640 whole time.

01:19:28.940 So it's not like I can just pause things and then like, go, oh, let me just get rid of

01:19:32.720 all these Best Buy and comedians and replace them for real people.

01:19:34.580 So I have to keep filming, but these videos we're filming are videos.

01:19:38.160 No one's ever done before.

01:19:38.900 So these are really complicated things that are constantly going wrong.

01:19:41.400 Like I think back then, like one in three videos I filmed, just like, I didn't like it.

01:19:45.280 So I scrapped it or it got fucked up when we were filming it or whatever, because like

01:19:49.640 it was, these were just big spectacles and we just didn't have the team for it. 0.61

01:19:53.600 And I was reinvesting everything.

01:19:55.100 And like, there was one time where I like, uh, I accidentally overspent and we were like

01:20:01.520 negative $200,000.

01:20:03.700 Yeah. 1.00

01:20:04.160 My mom was like losing her fucking mind. 1.00

01:20:06.540 And I was like, it's fine, mom. 1.00

01:20:08.080 I'll just next month.

01:20:09.280 I think we'll make like, you know, 200 grand or whatever.

01:20:12.120 And I'll just like spend a little less.

01:20:13.600 And I will, I will dig out of this hole.

01:20:15.120 Like she hated it.

01:20:17.400 Cause she was helping me with the finances.

01:20:19.180 Well that, but we just didn't have money growing up.

01:20:21.680 So like, like when, when I wanted to like, when I think one month we made like a hundred

01:20:26.960 thousand dollars and she was like very adamant. 0.78

01:20:30.480 She's like, just put 20% away.

01:20:32.280 Just let me build a nest egg, this and that.

01:20:33.920 And I was like, no, actually I was thinking of, uh, just give me like a hundred thousand

01:20:37.460 dollars to Twitch streamers.

01:20:38.340 I think that'd be a good video.

01:20:39.120 People would like, and she's like, she like for 10 hours straight was like, why not give

01:20:44.040 them 80,000?

01:20:45.040 It's like, because I, and this is where I'm a lot better at communicating now than I was

01:20:49.780 back then.

01:20:50.060 And I was like, I mean, you're talking like, this is a guy who grew up with pimples, didn't 0.96

01:20:53.720 communicate much, sat in his room and fucking worked on YouTube videos and obsessed over, 0.96

01:20:57.440 you know, business and entrepreneurship where everyone else just want to watch South Park. 0.98

01:21:01.080 And so I, I didn't relate to anyone.

01:21:02.580 So my social skills, like skills were negative 10,000.

01:21:05.900 So I was horrible at communicating things.

01:21:08.300 So I'd just be like, and like in hindsight, it's kind of obvious, but at the time, like

01:21:11.840 there's a huge language barrier between me and my mom.

01:21:14.300 Cause all that existed in this brain was make the best way it was possible, you know?

01:21:17.860 And she didn't fully get that.

01:21:19.840 And like, that was, that was it.

01:21:21.060 I was, I was a robot that, that, that is what I live for.

01:21:23.720 And I was a, I was not a human at that time.

01:21:25.700 And so I was just like, if we made a hundred grand, why would I not spend the hundred grand

01:21:29.940 on videos?

01:21:30.460 And she'd be like, put some away.

01:21:32.200 And I was like, but if I put it away, I would just spend it on other videos.

01:21:36.240 So why can't I just spend it on videos now?

01:21:38.160 And we would just do that hours every single day.

01:21:40.580 You're like, if I put away 20 grand, you know, that I'm only going to be able to make 80%

01:21:43.920 of the best video I could make at that time.

01:21:45.800 You know, it's just, why am I putting the money away?

01:21:48.880 Right.

01:21:49.180 I was like, mom, I did not make a good video.

01:21:50.960 Exactly.

01:21:51.320 I was like, mom, my rent is like $350.

01:21:55.340 I, the car's fine.

01:21:56.720 Yeah.

01:21:57.040 I was like, why do we need to put away?

01:21:58.820 And she's, she'd just be like, and, but, and I also didn't fully realize this, but you

01:22:03.640 know, she would even get trauma to like 2008 when they lost everything and went bankrupt.

01:22:07.340 And so she was like, we got to save something.

01:22:09.580 Yeah, exactly.

01:22:10.580 But yeah, so that, that's what would make it intense.

01:22:13.460 And I didn't fully understand it at the time either.

01:22:15.240 So it would like get her to the point where she would cry because I would reinvest everything.

01:22:19.060 And she just like, didn't want what happened to her in 2008 to happen to me.

01:22:22.220 And I just like, didn't care at all.

01:22:25.200 I just like, wow, trust me videos.

01:22:27.760 And so that happened, that was a thing for a very long time, but eventually she got to

01:22:32.600 the point where she's like, you know what?

01:22:33.780 I'll just trust you.

01:22:34.600 And that's when, that's when things got great.

01:22:36.260 Cause then like it helped my relationship with her a lot because she started stressing less.

01:22:40.500 And she just believes, you know, I got it.

01:22:43.020 She's like, Jim, you'll figure this out.

01:22:44.500 Exactly.

01:22:45.040 And like Mr.

01:22:45.820 Beast, Sun Beast.

01:22:46.720 Yeah. 0.99

01:22:46.880 When shit happens, she just goes, I know you'll figure it out. 0.98

01:22:49.580 I'm like, thanks. 0.99

01:22:50.160 Like no need for you to cry or freak out.

01:22:52.200 Like I got this.

01:22:53.780 Wow.

01:22:54.480 Did you ever do something nice for your mom?

01:22:56.360 Something.

01:22:56.560 Did you guys ever go to a concert together or something?

01:22:58.520 What do you, y'all like to do anything together?

01:23:01.020 Right now.

01:23:01.700 I don't really get any time off.

01:23:04.260 So I, we joke like in 10 years, all the things we'll do when like things kind of cool off.

01:23:09.560 Oh yeah.

01:23:09.900 But no, we, she, she gets it.

01:23:11.460 She, um, she actually sent me a message.

01:23:13.900 Like, I think it was like four days ago, like a really long message saying how like,

01:23:17.000 she was very grateful that she still gets to work with me and do things with me.

01:23:20.060 And how like most people in my position would like push their mom away, but we, we do a

01:23:24.620 lot of our bonding is like doing work stuff and things like that because it's like, then

01:23:28.340 it's like something I truly care about.

01:23:30.140 You know what I mean?

01:23:30.480 Like if we went to a concert, like she would see through that facade, she would know I'm

01:23:34.480 not doing that because I care just doing it to like check a box.

01:23:37.360 So, but when we work together, it's like genuinely fulfilling and it's cool to like,

01:23:41.180 She likes to work too.

01:23:41.940 Yeah.

01:23:42.300 Well, it, the stuff she was doing when we're building the business.

01:23:45.760 No, that was very stressful.

01:23:46.680 Now we have it to stuff that's a little more chill and where it's fun.

01:23:49.600 Like, you know, we have hundreds of employees that have Divi cards and all these things.

01:23:53.740 And so we have a lot of bank accounts, you know, how do you know, you know, someone's

01:23:57.340 not just stealing money.

01:23:58.520 Yeah.

01:23:58.540 So who else can you trust besides your mom to control the master accounts?

01:24:01.800 Cause at some point there's a master key is someone who could, I mean, if they wanted 0.98

01:24:05.120 to just withdraw a million dollars and just fucking run to Mexico. 0.98

01:24:07.760 Right. 0.99

01:24:08.080 You know?

01:24:08.340 So like, that's like a really big thing that I count on my mom just to like manage the

01:24:13.000 accounts and make sure there's no fraud and stuff like that. 0.53

01:24:14.900 Cause I don't fucking know like, um, and things like that.

01:24:17.620 But yeah, it's, uh, it's been a, it's been a fun journey. 0.62

01:24:22.300 And so I'm very grateful for my mom.

01:24:24.640 It's kind of crazy that like moms just put 18 years of their life, just pouring everything 0.99

01:24:29.600 into building a real, yeah, this human.

01:24:31.500 And it's a risk dude.

01:24:33.040 Yeah.

01:24:33.360 Like this human and most humans look up most humans or whatever.

01:24:37.700 Wait, most humans?

01:24:38.840 They're it's, you know, it's a shaky business.

01:24:41.960 Just being a human.

01:24:42.940 I know.

01:24:43.380 And then they just unleash you in the wild and then you just move on.

01:24:46.460 And it's like, it's just wild.

01:24:48.800 It's really a crazy premise, you know?

01:24:51.280 Yeah.

01:24:51.600 Cause I'm thinking about how, like, you know, when I, I love to spoil my mom.

01:24:55.680 Cause I'm like, you just like gave everything for 18 years, especially after 2008 and all

01:25:01.600 this stuff, you know, worked multiple jobs just so I could like, at the time, what you

01:25:05.900 thought was just be a brat and work on YouTube videos. 1.00

01:25:08.180 And you thought, you know, just basically it almost would have seen my, my purpose in 0.96

01:25:12.040 life was to make you as miserable as possible.

01:25:13.480 Yet you kept raising me and didn't give up on me. 0.99

01:25:15.600 Um, and it's like, so I think of that and then I'm like, fuck, I need to spoil my mom. 0.97

01:25:19.440 Cause like, you know, like I think of a different parallel universe where I'm not in this position. 0.98

01:25:24.020 It's like, damn, I would never have been able to like repay her for all that time. 0.92

01:25:28.000 Spoiler as much. 0.98

01:25:28.860 Yeah.

01:25:29.300 Or spoiler as much.

01:25:30.260 There's been, um, recently like in the news and stuff, I'm not as abreast on it, but there

01:25:35.560 was like, uh, they were trying, it seemed like they were trying to like poke holes in

01:25:40.300 you guys's company and stuff.

01:25:41.660 Yeah.

01:25:42.120 But a lot of it, um, like they were, I don't know if there was like, uh, different allegations

01:25:49.820 and stuff again, if it was against you or your company, but none of it, from what I've

01:25:54.800 seen, there was never, there was never any like, uh, validity to it.

01:25:59.600 Yeah.

01:25:59.980 Right.

01:26:00.520 Do you believe that there was actually something going on at your company that was bad?

01:26:04.180 Or do you believe that other people, like at a certain point, if your company is doing

01:26:09.720 so well that other companies are outside dark interests, get upset and tried to lead like

01:26:16.420 reporters or create like a negative buzz.

01:26:19.500 Um, is that a crazy question?

01:26:21.260 No, no, it's accurate.

01:26:22.200 It's, uh, the thing is, again, I have hundreds of employees that I employ full time, but I've

01:26:27.140 also hired hundreds of people in the past.

01:26:29.200 And sometimes like, uh, you know, sometimes we have hundreds of contractors just working

01:26:33.240 on singular videos because the sets are so big.

01:26:35.400 So we work with lots of people.

01:26:37.140 It's impossible for there never to be anything negative.

01:26:40.520 You know, that's why you have HR and things like that.

01:26:42.740 So, um, no, I mean, it would, it'd be, uh, crazy to say there's never been any issues

01:26:48.300 where no one that's ever worked for me has ever been unhappier or, you know, one employee

01:26:52.000 has never said anything, you know, dumb to some other employee that made them want to

01:26:55.260 complain or things like that.

01:26:56.220 So, um, but I think the thing is, it's just obviously completely blown out of proportion.

01:27:01.600 Like that's not a thing that's just particular to us.

01:27:03.500 Any company with hundreds of employees, obviously there's going to occasionally be something

01:27:07.060 someone says is something that's inappropriate or something that's not ideal, but that's where

01:27:11.440 when we're made aware of it, we obviously have HR look into it.

01:27:14.960 Or if it's something serious, we'll bring in an outside third party, have them look into

01:27:18.080 it and just tell us what to do.

01:27:19.640 And it's weird for you because if something happens at Nike, then it's like, there's an

01:27:24.380 issue, there's something happened at Nike, but if something happens at a production company

01:27:27.800 and you're are basically the fat, you were exactly the business, then a lot of it probably

01:27:32.640 just feel, yeah. 0.60

01:27:33.460 Like I have people I employ that I've never met in my life.

01:27:35.960 I probably never will.

01:27:36.760 I mean, cause we just have so many, um, people and some of them don't work in my hometown

01:27:40.980 and things like that.

01:27:41.640 So, yeah, I mean, the answer is like, yeah, it's absurd to think that, you know, hundreds of

01:27:47.380 people or sometimes over a thousand, when we scale up contractors working together all

01:27:51.320 these hours that there'll never be any issues.

01:27:53.860 Um, and yeah, all I can really do is, uh, make sure I'm not creating an environment where

01:27:58.900 we're influencing that, which we're doing our best.

01:28:01.300 And like, um, and then when those kinds of things happen, just bring in someone to look 0.98

01:28:06.640 into it and just be like, yo, tell me what to do because I'm a fucking YouTuber. 0.97

01:28:09.600 You know what I mean? 0.99

01:28:10.040 Right.

01:28:10.420 Yeah.

01:28:10.740 You know, if someone says something like, you know, Hey there darling or whatever.

01:28:14.940 And then someone, that person feels like that was inappropriate.

01:28:17.640 Like, I don't want to be the judge of that.

01:28:19.080 I want to, I don't want someone in my company to be a judge of it.

01:28:21.320 I want to bring someone in and be like, yo, talk to them, gather the facts and you tell

01:28:25.360 me what I'm supposed to do, which is what we do.

01:28:27.220 And that's all I, I really can do, you know?

01:28:30.020 Yeah.

01:28:30.300 Yeah.

01:28:30.340 It would seem like, God, it would just seem like so much stuff is out of your hands when

01:28:33.380 it's got to be tough when you're a creator, you know, because you want to be do every,

01:28:37.720 you know, you kind of want to do everything and have it as a business scales.

01:28:40.160 It's kind of tough because you can't, you know, um, what else did I want to ask you about?

01:28:44.860 Oh, I wanted to ask you about, he's got the flashcards.

01:28:47.280 Sorry, dude.

01:28:48.040 No, no, it's cool.

01:28:49.020 I went as long as I could.

01:28:51.860 That's about, that was a long for me.

01:28:53.860 Uh, so yeah, like you've had, like we were talking earlier about like philanthropy.

01:28:56.780 So you had like, you've taken plastics out of the ocean, right?

01:29:00.820 You put, um, help people with eyesight.

01:29:05.720 Um, you put the water, you've done water wells in Africa or Zambia.

01:29:10.460 Oh yeah.

01:29:10.860 In Africa. 0.56

01:29:11.420 A hundred wells all across Zambia or Africa.

01:29:13.640 Did you, um, like, what is, is, is there like a overall goal of like a big crazy vision

01:29:20.900 you see for the future of like some sort of philanthropic idea for us or just in general?

01:29:26.240 So yeah, just in general, it could be anything.

01:29:28.400 Um, well, the thing I've been focusing most of my time on in that area recently is, um,

01:29:34.860 so for feastables, obviously chocolate is made of cocoa.

01:29:37.520 There's a lot of unethical stuff that goes on at cocoa farms.

01:29:40.300 I don't know if you're aware of that.

01:29:41.460 A lot of child labor.

01:29:42.400 Look, I've used, yeah, it depends on what kind of farms we're talking about, but I, yeah.

01:29:46.340 Well, there's some definitely, yeah.

01:29:48.820 In West Africa.

01:29:49.580 Like, uh, so majority of the world's cocoa comes from Cotevara, Ghana.

01:29:54.320 Uh, it's like, I believe like 70% of the world's cocoa and like Cotevara, Vanna, Cotevara,

01:29:59.560 Cotevara, Cotevara.

01:30:00.580 Yeah.

01:30:00.860 Uh, Cotevara.

01:30:02.000 Yeah.

01:30:02.180 Cotevara.

01:30:02.740 Yeah.

01:30:03.080 Cotevara.

01:30:03.540 Yeah.

01:30:03.740 And then Ghana.

01:30:04.480 They're on the left.

01:30:05.060 Oh, and Ghana. 0.96

01:30:05.760 Cotevara and Ghana.

01:30:06.660 Yeah.

01:30:06.900 Yeah.

01:30:07.120 Two countries are on the left side of Africa.

01:30:08.900 Kind of like we're the round part right there.

01:30:11.060 It's like the perfect place to go grow cocoa.

01:30:13.140 And so, but 46% of the labor on farms there, which is where almost all the cocoa in the

01:30:18.360 world comes from is child labor. 0.95

01:30:19.980 So it's like pretty, pretty like just a lot of things going on there.

01:30:23.600 And so, um, that's where I've been focusing on my attention.

01:30:26.060 Cause obviously we need a lot of cocoa for feastables. 1.00

01:30:28.000 And so we used to, uh, get our cocoa from Peru, which ethical sourcing is not as big

01:30:34.020 of a problem over there.

01:30:34.700 And we use a lot of, uh, family owned farms and blah, blah, blah.

01:30:37.400 But the thing is, um, there's not enough cocoa comes from Peru to supply big chocolate.

01:30:43.680 And I wanted to show like, so saying I ethically sourced my cocoa from Peru doesn't really

01:30:48.380 prove anything because big other chocolate companies will just go, okay, but we can't

01:30:53.580 do that.

01:30:53.880 There's not enough cocoa in Peru.

01:30:54.960 So like that doesn't count.

01:30:56.440 It's not possible to ethically source cocoa in West Africa.

01:30:59.180 So, um, uh, and I knew if feastables kept growing, eventually we'd have to switch over

01:31:03.980 there.

01:31:04.180 So this past year we switched our supply chain over there and we've been.

01:31:07.400 Just working with a, have you ever heard of Tony Shacoloni?

01:31:10.320 Probably not.

01:31:10.820 Tony Shacoloni?

01:31:11.720 Yeah.

01:31:11.940 No.

01:31:12.120 And is it a real person?

01:31:13.440 Well, it's a reporter who went like super deep, uh, in exposing like the chocolate industry

01:31:18.820 and child labor. 0.99

01:31:19.080 Really interesting guy?

01:31:19.980 Yeah.

01:31:20.360 Yeah.

01:31:20.640 And then, but, and he was like, and no, no chocolate companies would, uh, ethically source

01:31:25.120 their cocoa.

01:31:25.540 And he kept exposing them and none of them were doing anything.

01:31:27.320 Would he be a cool guest you think?

01:31:28.560 Yeah.

01:31:28.900 Yeah.

01:31:29.080 He'd be awesome.

01:31:30.060 Wow.

01:31:30.460 It sounds crazy.

01:31:31.140 I didn't know there was bad chocolate out there.

01:31:32.400 Yeah.

01:31:32.700 So he started his own chocolate company to prove that you could ethically source it.

01:31:36.040 And he called it Tony's chocolate lonely because it's the lonely.

01:31:38.140 Oh yeah.

01:31:38.660 I've seen those.

01:31:39.700 Yeah.

01:31:40.480 Badass baller company.

01:31:41.980 And so I've been working with them to figure out how we can also ethically source our chocolate.

01:31:47.040 Um, because they're, they're the only ones really doing it.

01:31:49.660 Clean cocoa, dude.

01:31:50.660 Yeah.

01:31:50.860 So we are built a, uh, supply chain with them.

01:31:54.320 And so like all our farmers were fair trade certified.

01:31:56.820 And then we pay our farmers a living income because a big reason why there's child labor 1.00

01:31:59.960 is because farmers in West Africa just don't make enough money.

01:32:02.480 So it's like, that is like, if you're to rank the issues, like the number one issue is

01:32:07.240 just income.

01:32:07.600 Like they just can't even afford to hire adults.

01:32:10.720 They don't make enough.

01:32:11.740 So what they do and what we're doing for festivals is, um, we pay, there's a living

01:32:16.440 income reference price where they basically look at the cost of bread, the cost of living

01:32:20.680 cost of inflation, blah, blah, blah.

01:32:22.360 And they go, if a farmer were to sell you a metric ton of beans, if they don't get paid

01:32:26.780 this number, then they won't be able to make a living, uh, income.

01:32:30.560 They won't be able to live, which then means they'll be forced to use child labor because

01:32:33.740 if not, it's like they're, that's the only way they'll be able to survive.

01:32:37.080 Right.

01:32:37.260 So they need to have children working. 0.99

01:32:38.580 Yeah.

01:32:38.920 So they need to make, uh, and I'm paraphrasing this is mile high stuff, but they need to

01:32:42.260 make this theoretical number, which is living in income reference price.

01:32:45.120 And so that's what we guarantee our farmers.

01:32:47.180 So they're, um, if like they theoretically sell us the cocoa, a metric ton of cocoa for

01:32:52.260 less than that, we'll pay a premium on top and be like, no, here's extra money.

01:32:55.620 This is what you need to make so you can actually live.

01:32:57.960 Um, but you know, we don't want child labor on the farm. 0.99

01:33:00.960 So we'll, we'll guarantee you'll, you'll make this much, but they're, I don't want to see 0.98

01:33:04.880 fucking nine-year-old Timmy on the cocoa farm. 0.98

01:33:07.420 You know what I mean? 0.99

01:33:07.740 Um, so that's like the big thing.

01:33:10.600 Um, and then do like, they have farm coaches that, cause another way to help farmers make

01:33:15.820 more money is not just pay them more, but it's also helped them get more yield out of

01:33:19.180 their farms.

01:33:19.540 So they have coaches that will help counsel them and, you know, theoretically try to help

01:33:23.140 them get five or 10% more yield out of the same hectares they have.

01:33:26.360 Um, occasionally some supplies.

01:33:28.140 It's like very like all about getting it.

01:33:30.860 Cause it's, it's an income problem for a lot of them.

01:33:32.740 Why they're using child, child labor.

01:33:34.120 Like you could go to the farm and be like, stop using child labor, but if they can't,

01:33:37.700 if they can't survive, the family can't eat if the kids don't also work.

01:33:41.960 Yeah.

01:33:42.300 So, um, that's, that's been a big journey.

01:33:45.620 I actually spent recently a week in Ghana, just going through the whole supply chain.

01:33:49.280 So I worked on the farm, you know, and then you laid the crack, the pods laid out to dry

01:33:53.700 and then saw like where they dry and then where they store the beans.

01:33:56.440 And like, even how like the government, like, um, does QC on the beans went through the

01:34:00.680 whole thing all the way to the ship.

01:34:01.960 Just like, so this has been the last year, probably like a good fucking chunk of my time

01:34:07.140 has been going to like figure out ethical sourcing with them because it's, it's very

01:34:10.440 like, it's very expensive, you know?

01:34:12.220 So I just want to make sure we're doing it right.

01:34:13.620 And, um, yeah.

01:34:15.280 And also that's a way of, that's a really a big form of philanthropy itself because, you

01:34:20.540 know, just teaching these people how to do, how to have more success in their own

01:34:24.780 lives, I mean, that kind of stuff is huge.

01:34:26.420 You teach one person in an area and then they can be a leader and teach other people.

01:34:29.620 It's like, you don't even know that's kind of the residual effects of that.

01:34:31.220 Well, the bigger thing is, I hope to, um, like, I hope to get it where if Feastables

01:34:37.740 keeps growing, where we can be like, look, we're a big chocolate company and we're ethically

01:34:41.940 sourced and we're profitable.

01:34:43.940 So then we can look at other big chocolate companies and go, you have no excuse, right?

01:34:47.460 Right now they can all just say, it's impossible.

01:34:49.700 You don't understand, you know, you don't have scale at companies our size.

01:34:53.820 This is like, this is a fairytale dream, but because no one's doing it, um, you know, that's

01:34:58.740 actually doing serious revenue.

01:34:59.660 So if we can get to that point where theoretically we're selling a billion dollars a year of chocolate

01:35:03.420 and it's ethically sourced and it's profitable, then like they have no excuse.

01:35:07.180 Exactly.

01:35:07.780 And so like, cause there's over a million kids in child labor and on cocoa farms in West

01:35:12.120 Africa right now.

01:35:12.680 No way.

01:35:13.100 Yeah.

01:35:13.280 And like Feastables itself is not going to be able to get all a million out, but if we could theoretically

01:35:16.720 get tens of thousands of kids out of child labor and then use that in my platform

01:35:21.260 and stuff like this to bully everyone else, then hopefully that can create a snowball that 0.56

01:35:25.200 gets hundreds of thousands of kids out of child labor.

01:35:26.740 I love that.

01:35:27.100 Yeah.

01:35:27.460 Big chocolate's going down, boy.

01:35:29.780 I like that.

01:35:30.580 I mean, it's just.

01:35:31.120 I hate three musketeers. 0.88

01:35:32.560 I'll say it out loud. 0.98

01:35:34.220 And when people eat them, and I'll say this, when people eat them, I judge them.

01:35:38.880 No comment.

01:35:39.660 I don't want to get sued.

01:35:41.300 I'm just saying I don't like them.

01:35:42.580 Yeah.

01:35:42.840 He does not like three musketeers.

01:35:44.640 And I can say that, can I?

01:35:45.660 Yeah, you can say that.

01:35:46.420 Yeah.

01:35:46.840 Yeah.

01:35:47.220 I don't like them.

01:35:47.900 I could say I don't like three musketeers either. 1.00

01:35:50.900 I'm not because of anything.

01:35:52.760 Just I don't like them.

01:35:53.360 Oh, no.

01:35:53.560 I don't know any of their behaviors.

01:35:54.800 I don't know what they're doing before they mail it to me or whatever.

01:35:57.600 I don't like it.

01:35:58.500 I never have liked it.

01:35:59.600 And I don't even believe in it.

01:36:00.860 Yeah.

01:36:01.440 Which is also a way that I feel about it.

01:36:03.000 Like when I open it up, I don't even, I don't even believe in it.

01:36:06.220 And paydays, the nuts aren't any good in them anymore.

01:36:09.580 And they were better when my mom.

01:36:10.660 Yeah.

01:36:10.940 Paydays, I feel like if they had like a little more saltiness, a little more nuts, those things would

01:36:15.780 be the bomb.

01:36:16.240 Yeah, it's, it's a little, the chewy stuff in the middle is just a little too overpowering

01:36:19.260 now.

01:36:19.400 I agree.

01:36:19.960 Yeah.

01:36:20.340 Paydays are like so close to being a phenomenal product.

01:36:22.740 Yep.

01:36:22.900 And the nuts used to be a little more, they had more edges on them.

01:36:25.420 They look like more nuts.

01:36:26.980 I, I, bro, I relate. 0.96

01:36:28.120 I had a payday recently.

01:36:29.000 I thought the same thing. 1.00

01:36:29.740 I was like this, like fucking shit in the middle. 1.00

01:36:31.960 It's just not, there's no flavor. 1.00

01:36:33.480 I want more fucking salt. 0.99

01:36:34.820 It fell off for me. 0.99

01:36:35.820 And I don't know when my mom used to get them.

01:36:38.080 Sometimes it would be like a special thing that she would get, but she would let us watch her

01:36:40.900 eat them.

01:36:41.840 I'm going to tell you this.

01:36:44.040 Did you, do you ever dealt with like, you're so big on YouTube.

01:36:46.340 Do you ever deal with sanctions and stuff on there?

01:36:47.900 Have you had to deal with that?

01:36:48.620 Is that a conversation you have with them?

01:36:50.440 Sanctions?

01:36:50.900 Like, or do you, or they say like, you can't do certain things.

01:36:53.420 Like, do you have to like submit all your videos and, and like go through a process like

01:36:57.320 that?

01:36:57.680 Um, well, can we even talk about that?

01:36:59.980 We can, we can talk about the conspiracy theorists are going to run away with this, but a lot

01:37:04.400 of, uh, there's, uh, when there's like, um, a higher ad, uh, what is it?

01:37:10.140 When you get bigger, there's like a Google preferred or whatever, where it's like a, for

01:37:14.680 bigger advertisers, like Coke or whatever, like premium advertisers, they want to make

01:37:18.760 sure they're not advertising on, you know, bad content.

01:37:21.120 So like for bigger channels, YouTube, if they'll review your video before it goes up, just

01:37:26.060 to make sure it's clean.

01:37:27.000 And you're not just like saying Hitler a thousand times, um, to make sure it's good for bigger 0.97

01:37:32.040 advertisers.

01:37:32.760 So they review it for that, but they do that for, I believe thousands of creators right

01:37:36.100 now, which, you know, but you don't have to do that.

01:37:38.260 Uh, it just helps you get higher ad rates.

01:37:39.900 But, um, no, I mean, I just post whatever they don't know what I'm doing or anything.

01:37:43.400 And, um, they're, they're pretty chill.

01:37:46.040 Like, do you think they're in a tough position, uh, with what just like having a

01:37:51.060 set up parameters for different videos and like the effect that it could have on certain

01:37:54.480 people and that sort of thing?

01:37:55.400 Like, I always just think about it from my perspective.

01:37:57.920 I'm always like, well, we're upset.

01:37:59.460 You know, sometimes like, oh, they'll make us take a joke or this joke or this sort of

01:38:02.320 thing.

01:38:02.660 They may not, you know, well, you, the thing is they're not making you take it out.

01:38:05.980 They're just saying, if you don't take it out, you won't get higher ad rates.

01:38:08.300 That's a good point.

01:38:08.800 Think of any brand that spends a billion dollars a year on marketing.

01:38:11.040 That's them saying, Hey, YouTube, if they hear, if any of these things are in a video,

01:38:15.040 we don't want to be on it.

01:38:15.760 And YouTube just going, Hey, take this out.

01:38:17.460 Or we can't put these premium ads on you, which I think makes perfect sense.

01:38:20.540 Yeah.

01:38:20.620 That's what I'm saying.

01:38:21.280 Sometimes I only look at it from my perspective.

01:38:22.740 I'm not able to look at it from like, oh, also this is a platform where they allow us

01:38:26.500 to put our stuff up.

01:38:27.700 Exactly.

01:38:28.140 And then, so they also are trying to do business as well.

01:38:30.920 Yeah.

01:38:31.160 You know, um, what else do we have here?

01:38:34.020 We're almost done.

01:38:35.220 I mean, we can keep going.

01:38:36.140 I'm having fun.

01:38:36.900 You don't drink, right?

01:38:38.440 Uh, I've maybe drank like five times in my life.

01:38:41.220 I don't like the way it makes me feel.

01:38:42.820 It's like, is it out of control that it makes you feel you think?

01:38:45.500 No, it just like, well, so I didn't drink alcohol till I was like 23 or 24. 0.75

01:38:49.800 I wanted to stay the fuck away from it. 0.84

01:38:51.380 Cause I have a very addictive personality. 0.74

01:38:53.100 So I was, my goal was to go my entire life without ever drinking alcohol.

01:38:56.720 Um, but then I was like with Logan Paul one time or I was at, I was at a casino gambling

01:39:02.460 and then, um, Logan Paul was there and then he was like, let's hang out.

01:39:06.320 And then, um, was it a UFC fight or something?

01:39:08.640 I don't even remember.

01:39:09.660 It might've been like Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor or something.

01:39:12.520 Oh yeah.

01:39:13.260 I don't know.

01:39:13.580 But so I was like, okay, let's, we can gamble together.

01:39:16.480 And then we're walking to like the tables and he stops by a club.

01:39:19.680 He's like, let's just go in here.

01:39:20.560 It'd be one minute. 0.99

01:39:21.180 I was like, oh my God, I fucking hate clubs. 1.00

01:39:22.520 They're so boring. 0.99

01:39:23.460 So I go in there. 0.93

01:39:24.280 One minute turns into like two hours and I'm just so fucking bored. 0.91

01:39:28.180 And I just caved. 0.93

01:39:29.040 I was like, okay, I need to just drink.

01:39:30.800 And I'd never drank in my life, but I'm like something.

01:39:33.360 I need something.

01:39:33.920 I'm dying.

01:39:34.720 A lot of people need to drink to be around the pulse.

01:39:36.580 That's when I like, that was the time I did it.

01:39:38.820 And then I was just like, oh, I just kind of like feel weird, but it's not a happy word.

01:39:43.260 It's just like, this is, I just don't like it.

01:39:45.580 You don't dig it.

01:39:46.320 Yeah.

01:39:46.700 Yeah.

01:39:46.960 I think people, I think it's getting less and less popular in the world.

01:39:49.420 Kind of, especially with like younger generations. 0.98

01:39:50.780 It's just like, they just think it's kind of dumb. 0.98

01:39:52.680 Yeah. 0.96

01:39:52.980 It just, I don't know.

01:39:54.400 It, I, I, I don't know how to describe it. 1.00

01:39:57.220 It's like, it just makes me feel stupid and like, but not a good stupid. 1.00

01:40:01.860 It's not like a happy stupid. 1.00

01:40:02.980 It's like, it just dumb, like a waste of time. 1.00

01:40:06.220 Yeah. 0.88

01:40:06.640 I've definitely, I've done a lot of that.

01:40:08.840 Um, in July, you tweeted, if you were to lower the age for president that you might run,

01:40:13.380 um, do you still think that ever?

01:40:17.140 Um, no, no, no.

01:40:18.160 I mean, I, I might when I'm older, but not if they lowered it, that was mostly a joke

01:40:24.000 just because I knew people would freak the fuck out and talk about it.

01:40:26.400 Um, and it worked, but I would, uh, if I were to, it would probably be like when I'm like

01:40:33.880 50 or 60, cause I would need to like accomplish everything I want in business and stuff.

01:40:38.340 And then probably take like 10 years and I'd have to go be like a, do something at the

01:40:42.560 local level and then the state level and work my way up.

01:40:44.900 But yeah, we'll see.

01:40:46.660 But there could be potentially a president beast.

01:40:48.300 You never know.

01:40:48.860 Oh yeah.

01:40:49.400 One, 100%.

01:40:50.260 You never know, especially about if you learn a lot.

01:40:52.180 Do you, um, has Elon ever reached out to you to do something cool together?

01:40:55.320 Cause I mean, you guys, at a certain point, you guys are both like, um, uh, pioneers in

01:40:59.980 certain schools of thought and, and, and certainly creative folks.

01:41:03.640 Yeah.

01:41:04.100 I mean, he's pioneering, taking us to Mars, electric cars, talking with your phone through

01:41:08.480 your brain, digging tunnels, fixing traffic, you know, getting rid of a trillion dollars

01:41:13.460 of waste in the government now and this and that.

01:41:15.860 And I'm pioneering funny videos, so I don't know if I'd put those in, but, um, but kidding.

01:41:23.560 But, um, he, yeah, we, we bumped into each other at the Superbowl said, hi.

01:41:28.220 Um, I, I, I don't know.

01:41:30.520 I think he asked me, do, do, do, do I think people call it, call X Twitter still, or do

01:41:36.280 people call it X?

01:41:37.060 And I was like, yeah, most people call it Twitter.

01:41:40.480 I've noticed he's like, interesting.

01:41:42.500 I think I was kind of like the gist of it.

01:41:43.940 Yeah.

01:41:44.180 And then, um, but outside of that, no, not really.

01:41:46.780 I mean, I'm in talks with, um, people at SpaceX and even clicking ideas and things like that,

01:41:51.820 but not Elon himself.

01:41:53.560 Yeah.

01:41:54.220 Yeah.

01:41:54.540 We tried to ask if we, we could interview those, um, the two people stuck up in that.

01:41:59.080 Oh my gosh.

01:41:59.820 That'd be crazy.

01:42:00.800 I wanted to be the first one.

01:42:02.080 Cause people are like, who, who you want to get on your podcast?

01:42:03.960 And they're like anybody.

01:42:05.100 And I was trying to think, who can you not get in?

01:42:06.840 Like, Oh, somebody who's not on earth.

01:42:08.240 Yeah.

01:42:09.000 That's who you got to get.

01:42:10.040 Yeah.

01:42:10.200 That would be sick.

01:42:10.720 Somebody who's just loitering or whatever, you know?

01:42:13.240 And, um, I love how they're not aliens, but yeah, it's like, all right.

01:42:16.780 Do you think you could get Elon on here one day?

01:42:19.600 Do you think you would do?

01:42:20.300 I think maybe.

01:42:21.000 Yeah.

01:42:21.220 They just, they offered to send me a Starlink if I want to get one.

01:42:24.380 So I might get one.

01:42:25.120 Are you using them?

01:42:25.700 Oh yeah.

01:42:26.180 Starlink's amazing.

01:42:26.880 Bro. 0.99

01:42:27.000 When you're in fucking Zambia in the middle of nowhere, that's the only, oh, it's Starlink 0.99

01:42:30.320 in Antarctica was amazing. 0.99

01:42:32.880 Like Antarctica, you're in the middle of nowhere.

01:42:35.480 And I mean, literally the furthest from human civilization on the planet.

01:42:39.720 And yeah, you can get internet.

01:42:41.200 It was, it's such a phenomenal product.

01:42:43.280 Did you see anything cool?

01:42:44.220 Like you need, because a lot of people say in Antarctica that they're hiding secret stuff

01:42:47.400 up there, that there's that kind of energy.

01:42:49.400 Yeah.

01:42:49.920 Antarctic, you should go to Antarctica at some time in your life.

01:42:53.220 It is.

01:42:53.320 Oh, I would love to go up there if they'll have me up there.

01:42:55.900 So there's like, there's, you go to South America and you get on a Boeing 747, like an

01:43:02.960 actual like commercial plane.

01:43:04.120 You go to South America.

01:43:05.300 Yeah.

01:43:05.640 You go all the way to like the very bottom of Chile.

01:43:07.960 Oh, because Antarctica's at the bottom.

01:43:09.180 Yeah.

01:43:09.480 Yeah. 0.98

01:43:10.440 And then you board like a commercial plane, like you're flying like fucking Delta here 0.71

01:43:14.920 and it just starts flying and you just, you fly over the ocean and then you see just this 0.87

01:43:20.800 just endless abyss of white snow and mountains and you just keep flying deeper and deeper

01:43:27.120 and deeper into it. 0.97

01:43:27.880 And then you just see this just fucking ice runway. 0.94

01:43:31.560 I mean, it's the sketchiest thing you'll ever see in your life. 0.94

01:43:33.800 And it just lands this commercial airliner there.

01:43:36.240 I had no idea of any of this going into it.

01:43:38.540 I kind of went into it pretty raw and you get off.

01:43:41.760 It's just this janky little like ladder thing type B.

01:43:44.920 Um, it's, uh, they know.

01:43:46.720 Yeah.

01:43:46.860 Go down one image right there.

01:43:48.380 That one click on it.

01:43:49.040 Cause they have to brush all the snow off.

01:43:50.480 Yeah.

01:43:50.580 That's what you land on.

01:43:51.540 Wow.

01:43:51.940 Just ice.

01:43:52.580 And then, um, then that's not the one we went to, but then there's just this, uh, research

01:43:58.480 facility where there's like three big tents that researchers work out of.

01:44:01.260 And then there's like a hundred tents that they all live out of.

01:44:03.660 Um, so there's no actual terminal.

01:44:05.160 No, because, uh, there it's like, so the time where it's like sun 24 seven, but then there's

01:44:11.260 like these intense winters, like three or four months a year where it's like dark.

01:44:14.560 And you can't be there.

01:44:15.560 So they have to pack everything up and leave.

01:44:17.080 You can't leave anything behind.

01:44:18.160 So it's like a temporary thing. 0.83

01:44:19.960 Um, and so we get out and there's all these researchers doing experiments and cool shit.

01:44:24.260 And I'm just like, Hey, I'm here to film a video. 0.73

01:44:26.420 Um, so, and then a snow.

01:44:28.820 So we were supposed to just be there for like two days or three days or whatever, but a snow

01:44:33.000 storm hits.

01:44:33.480 So what we were going to do is just go out in a random direction and then just set up

01:44:37.240 a camp in the middle of nowhere in Antarctica and try to survive for 50 hours.

01:44:40.400 Oh yeah.

01:44:40.740 But there was an intense snow storm.

01:44:41.960 So we're just, we had to sit in these research facilities and wait them out.

01:44:45.120 Um, and one of them was so crazy.

01:44:46.960 It's like this, uh, tent with like door and it like flew the door, flung it open.

01:44:52.480 It was so intense that we had to like tie, like pull the door shut.

01:44:55.760 Cause it was like, like barreling snow.

01:44:57.880 And I'm like, my God, I think we're going to die.

01:45:00.800 Like it was crazy.

01:45:02.460 They're like, we haven't had a storm like this in a while.

01:45:04.480 And like, uh, you have like all these little tents that you live in and like the big communal

01:45:09.020 tents for the, where everyone hangs out and stuff.

01:45:10.860 And the little tent, like we had to build like actual snow walls around our tent because

01:45:15.300 there's so much wind blowing that like our tents would have got swept away.

01:45:18.960 So we had to, I had to barricade the, I'm like, this is just the normal thing.

01:45:22.180 They're like, yeah, that's just what happens.

01:45:23.320 And so you're like building a wall around your, your, you know, metal pole reinforced

01:45:27.740 tent that you're going to sleep in. 0.96

01:45:29.260 Um, and like when the winds would pick up at night, I'm, I'm like, fuck, it's like, is 0.99

01:45:33.920 my tent just going to fly off? 0.87

01:45:35.220 And there's nowhere to run to.

01:45:36.740 Yeah.

01:45:37.020 You just run to the bigger tent, but it's like, it was crazy.

01:45:39.620 You know, and also in Antarctica, probably it's like, you can't pee or shit in the snow

01:45:44.380 or anything like, because you can't leave anything behind.

01:45:46.780 Like that's massively illegal.

01:45:48.320 And so everything ever, all your waste and stuff, you have to store and carry and hold

01:45:52.880 and that kind of stuff.

01:45:53.780 Fly back with it.

01:45:54.640 Uh, well they, they will, but you'll just put it in like, like a piss tank where they'll 1.00

01:45:58.260 hold onto it and the shit and the ship bag that they like this big shit thing they had. 0.99

01:46:03.280 Um, but also you get snow blindness because there's everything's white and the sun reflects. 0.98

01:46:08.240 So you have to wear glasses when you go outside or it'll literally blind you, which was like,

01:46:13.000 that was crazy.

01:46:14.140 Yeah.

01:46:14.380 Imagine, first of all, you're almost blind. 1.00

01:46:16.340 Can't shit. 1.00

01:46:17.300 Yeah. 1.00

01:46:18.320 Well, so you wear these like tinted glasses.

01:46:20.620 What are you even doing, dude?

01:46:21.760 But bro, but it's like, you're 80 years old.

01:46:23.620 It's so beautiful though.

01:46:25.420 It's like crazy to just see you're just in the middle of nowhere.

01:46:29.420 It feels like you're on a different planet and it was like, sometimes you just walk outside.

01:46:34.580 You just walk in a direction.

01:46:35.380 You just see nothing anywhere.

01:46:37.140 And it was, it was awesome.

01:46:38.240 Is there a zoo or anything like that?

01:46:39.480 No, there's nothing.

01:46:40.020 Is there any, no animals, nothing, no roads or nothing, huh?

01:46:43.660 No, there's literally nothing there.

01:46:44.760 I mean, and like, so after the snowstorm calmed down, we just went out, like got on these like

01:46:50.180 little skis or things, went, went far away.

01:46:53.160 But this is where it gets scary because there's crevasses and ravines and things like that.

01:46:58.060 So you could be walking and then just fall a hundred feet and die, right?

01:47:02.020 Cause there's like the snow could have like slightly piled up over like a hundred foot

01:47:06.020 gap in between the ice or things like that.

01:47:07.640 So you have to have like this device go on in front of you that checks to make sure there's

01:47:11.500 not just like a giant hole you're going to fall in.

01:47:13.600 You have to mark everything.

01:47:14.780 So we go out in this random direction, scan everything.

01:47:18.180 And then we, uh, scanned like this little, like a hundred foot square foot perimeter,

01:47:22.920 put up flags. 0.99

01:47:23.520 And it's like, guys, if you walk across those flags, there's a chance you'll fucking die. 0.97

01:47:27.440 So boys stay within this unless we scan more areas. 0.96

01:47:30.420 And then, yeah, we just started setting up tents, raw dogging it in the middle of nowhere,

01:47:34.240 Antarctica, far away from the research facilities. 0.94

01:47:36.600 And it was, it was a fucking awesome experience.

01:47:39.620 And then there's this mountain that no one had any records of someone climbing. 0.95

01:47:43.280 So we climbed this pretty tall mountain.

01:47:46.020 And so I got to name it, um, which I named it Shopify cause they sponsored the video and

01:47:50.860 helped make the whole thing happen.

01:47:51.840 But so, but like, uh, it was crazy, man, climbing up this mountain.

01:47:56.440 And I just, I had no idea how we did that.

01:48:00.500 It was, can you pull it up?

01:48:02.120 Just like go to the 50 hours in Antarctica.

01:48:04.580 Is it nice?

01:48:05.640 Like, and there's no people, there's not like Antarctic and you can't go to a bar and

01:48:09.720 nothing is there's nothing.

01:48:10.500 No, there's literally nothing like this.

01:48:12.040 There's research facilities.

01:48:12.920 So do you think there's crazy stuff going on down there?

01:48:15.260 Like they say, there's a lot of, uh, no, I don't think there's anything.

01:48:19.420 I didn't, I, yeah, that's, see, look at that. 0.99

01:48:22.120 It's fucking crazy. 0.99

01:48:24.860 Yeah. 0.99

01:48:25.180 We were deep in there and it's super cold, huh?

01:48:29.100 Yeah.

01:48:29.360 It depends on the time there.

01:48:30.800 There.

01:48:31.460 Well, so the problem is like when you move around and you have so many layers, you start

01:48:35.280 to heat up and then you take the clothes off and then you get really cold.

01:48:37.860 Yeah.

01:48:38.000 So you look where we went to.

01:48:38.980 Is there a chance that at one point it was thawed out and it was a normal land and we'll

01:48:43.140 be able to explore it one day and we just don't know, or that's complete nothing?

01:48:46.100 Well, there's a, it's not straight.

01:48:47.580 Like those are real rocks and stuff.

01:48:48.840 So it's ice on top of stuff.

01:48:49.920 So yeah, there is land.

01:48:51.140 Um, and it is crazy that.

01:48:53.680 Oh my God.

01:48:54.980 Yeah.

01:48:55.120 Look at that snow storm.

01:48:56.060 We got hit with, so this is after we left the research facility and now we're going

01:49:00.400 to set up camp and like, yeah, those, those are the goggles you have to wear to not go

01:49:04.980 blind.

01:49:05.720 Um, and then right here is where it's like a human.

01:49:07.860 I did a rod kind of, Oh, that's the island.

01:49:09.640 That's the mountain you named.

01:49:11.080 No, no, that's just the mountains behind us over there. 1.00

01:49:14.400 And then this is us setting up our tents and just, I mean, we're just a bunch of stupid 1.00

01:49:18.320 kids. 1.00

01:49:18.780 I don't, I don't know how we pulled this off.

01:49:21.120 Yeah.

01:49:21.440 You could have lost a kid easy.

01:49:23.660 Well, yeah, obviously we had a safety expert there, but yeah, but obviously that's it.

01:49:27.320 Then just skip ahead like towards the end where you see me climbing up the mountain.

01:49:30.420 It's probably, yeah, I don't know.

01:49:33.020 Maybe after this or before it, I just wanted to see, or yeah.

01:49:36.660 And that's just an ice thing you're in.

01:49:38.840 Yeah.

01:49:39.220 Keep going to the left.

01:49:40.340 Is that an igloo?

01:49:40.980 No, that's the tent, but it's metal reinforced.

01:49:42.880 Yeah.

01:49:43.060 To the right a little bit.

01:49:43.840 Yeah.

01:49:43.980 Right there.

01:49:44.500 Just hit it.

01:49:46.180 Right.

01:49:46.580 Click a couple or double tap.

01:49:48.900 Yeah.

01:49:49.200 So look at this right here.

01:49:50.520 This is us climbing up the mountain.

01:49:51.860 Look at those views. 0.99

01:49:54.500 It's fucking gnarly. 0.99

01:49:57.840 Shopify mountain. 0.99

01:49:58.400 Yeah.

01:49:58.840 I did an ad read.

01:49:59.740 I was like, what's, what's the most interesting time I can do an ad read?

01:50:03.360 And I was like, where people wouldn't click off.

01:50:04.800 I was like, you know, while I'm climbing this mountain, it'll probably be more interesting.

01:50:09.440 Do you think you'll get to do a video with Kim Jong-un ever?

01:50:13.120 Um, I mean.

01:50:16.160 Like a game show to help some of his citizens.

01:50:18.080 I feel like they would think it's Western propaganda.

01:50:22.040 I don't think they would let me, you know, when I first started uploading in China, um,

01:50:27.140 they're like, they called me like a American capitalist or whatever, whatever I, uh, post

01:50:32.960 my, like we posted some of our videos that like, uh, got views.

01:50:36.680 They're like this American capitalist.

01:50:39.680 So we start, so I stopped posting the videos where we give away money and just more like

01:50:43.340 the challenge videos.

01:50:44.020 And then they're like, Oh, this is cool.

01:50:45.860 So they just don't like the money as the goal.

01:50:48.680 Yeah.

01:50:48.940 I don't know.

01:50:49.620 They don't want to inspire.

01:50:50.360 They don't want their people to see that.

01:50:51.720 I don't know what the logic was, but I just noticed that a lot in the comments.

01:50:55.040 So I was like, okay, let me just switch up what I'm posting over here.

01:50:58.460 What do you watch on TV, man?

01:50:59.560 You watching anything?

01:51:01.060 What am I watching?

01:51:03.040 Do, do, do.

01:51:04.560 I'm about to start penguin that I haven't, that HBO show.

01:51:08.180 I haven't started that yet.

01:51:09.100 Oh yeah.

01:51:09.360 I haven't seen that yet either.

01:51:10.240 That was on the list for tonight.

01:51:11.440 Um, honestly, I'm watching beast games.

01:51:15.740 Like I probably watched that episode we watched earlier a hundred times to give still notes

01:51:19.200 on it.

01:51:19.440 Yeah.

01:51:19.800 I know it's, but I've also now I just get enjoyment out of watching other people watch

01:51:23.520 it because that episode is mostly locked, but I'm like, so good, man.

01:51:27.060 Yeah.

01:51:27.200 I've watched like maybe 30 people watch it.

01:51:29.260 So it's like my, my like, uh, guilty pleasure is just watching like what other people watch

01:51:34.820 my show.

01:51:35.260 So that's awesome.

01:51:36.700 And to know that it's more for adults.

01:51:38.620 It's like you still, I think you're right.

01:51:40.260 I think you were perfectly right.

01:51:41.300 Like when you think about Mr.

01:51:42.380 Beast, it's like, um, you, you, there's a party that still thinks part of it's for

01:51:47.040 children and it is for children, but it's also for everyone.

01:51:49.440 But beast games is definitely for everyone.

01:51:51.680 I mean, it's the most aged up, mature stuff we've ever done.

01:51:54.800 And I just, I just can't wait, man.

01:51:56.600 Cause we spent over a year working on that.

01:51:58.680 I told you how much money we spent on it was so much time and effort.

01:52:00.760 And like the YouTube videos you make, and then you upload two months later to sit on

01:52:04.060 this for so long and we have 10 episodes of a film that's like, just to put it out in

01:52:08.200 the world will just fucking awesome. 0.99

01:52:11.280 God fucking damn it. 0.99

01:52:12.060 I can't wait. 1.00

01:52:12.600 So you're, so that's something that, that excites you just to see people see it.

01:52:16.500 Yeah.

01:52:16.960 Oh, I'm so excited.

01:52:18.020 I'm so, cause most people have no idea what it is and the ones that are going to watch

01:52:22.460 it.

01:52:22.600 And they're just there. 0.99

01:52:23.800 I feel like their minds are just going to be so fucking blown. 0.95

01:52:26.400 The fact you told me everybody's on their own individual platform and how many platforms 0.98

01:52:30.020 were there?

01:52:30.300 A thousand towers.

01:52:31.980 Yeah.

01:52:32.140 That's crazy, bro.

01:52:35.320 Yeah.

01:52:35.820 I had to build a thousand of those and then a thousand high, uh, well, we need a 3000

01:52:40.040 hydraulic presses or whatever they're called to open them and, uh, 3000 hydraulics.

01:52:44.200 And it's like to build those and then a thousand foam pits and a thousand crash pads.

01:52:48.360 And then we had to rig up a thousand lightings and a thousand GoPros and then to build all

01:52:51.920 that.

01:52:52.100 And then the screens on the side.

01:52:53.160 And I mean, even just $5 million of real money, having that there and all that stuff

01:52:57.520 and then building the sets it's, and that's just one of the 10 episodes.

01:53:00.860 You know what I mean? 0.99

01:53:01.420 So we had to do that 10 times built a fucking city. 0.99

01:53:05.020 Name one show who has just gone. 0.99

01:53:07.140 Okay.

01:53:07.360 This field build enough housing for 500 people, build a sports facility, build two massive

01:53:12.340 five story towers, build a helipad, build this, build that, build that, and make it

01:53:17.300 look good in a wall.

01:53:18.280 Yeah.

01:53:19.100 Closest thing I can think is that Angola prison rodeo.

01:53:21.540 Have you ever heard of that?

01:53:22.200 It's down in, uh, outside of Baton Rouge.

01:53:24.640 I mean, it's not like what you were talking about, but it's like they put on a pretty good

01:53:27.420 event once a year down there and the prisoners are do the rodeo.

01:53:31.400 Wait, what?

01:53:32.300 Yeah.

01:53:33.140 The Angola prison rodeo.

01:53:35.720 Angola prison.

01:53:36.420 Pretty awesome if you're into that kind of stuff, but yeah, you would probably, you would

01:53:39.540 definitely be able to do this way better, but just letting you know, there's a little

01:53:42.920 bit of competition out there.

01:53:45.880 Wait, so those are prisoners?

01:53:47.600 Yep.

01:53:47.720 They put them all in this circle, right?

01:53:49.160 And if you leave the circle, they send the bulls through.

01:53:51.080 And if you leave the circle, you lose.

01:53:52.760 Right.

01:53:53.580 And what do the prisoners get out of it?

01:53:55.280 So I think they get like a time with a basketball or something.

01:53:58.620 I don't know what the prize is.

01:53:59.740 I'll have to look and see what the prizes are.

01:54:01.260 This is crazy.

01:54:02.200 What?

01:54:05.520 We stayed in there.

01:54:07.280 And this is.

01:54:08.140 He really wants that prize.

01:54:09.620 Right.

01:54:09.720 But yeah, just to let you know.

01:54:12.680 So there is a little competition out there.

01:54:15.300 Have you ever seen the last question?

01:54:16.720 I mean, you ever seen that show Hands on a Hard Body? 1.00

01:54:18.680 You ever see that movie?

01:54:19.400 No.

01:54:19.960 Wow.

01:54:20.460 Hands on a Hard Body.

01:54:21.740 There was a car.

01:54:23.460 Somebody, somebody went to a mall.

01:54:25.760 Oh, that one.

01:54:26.680 The documentary.

01:54:27.480 Yeah.

01:54:27.700 I haven't seen it, but I've heard of the last take hand off car keeps it type.

01:54:31.280 Yeah.

01:54:32.000 Yeah.

01:54:32.420 Okay.

01:54:32.780 I've seen a clip of that on TikTok.

01:54:34.040 And they all have their hand on a hard body.

01:54:35.780 The original one is great.

01:54:37.300 Oh, there's a musical now.

01:54:38.420 That's hilarious.

01:54:39.760 Yeah.

01:54:39.920 And the guy's like, nothing getting me to take my hand off, but he is gone.

01:54:43.260 We did last take hand off Lamborghini keeps it.

01:54:45.280 He did?

01:54:45.720 Yeah.

01:54:45.980 With 50 people.

01:54:47.140 Well, this is how somebody trumped.

01:54:48.780 Somebody walked up and was like, hey, you want this chocolate bar?

01:54:50.900 And the guy's like, I would love it.

01:54:52.080 And he took it with both hands. 1.00

01:54:53.760 Damn. 1.00

01:54:54.240 Who takes a chocolate bar off somebody with both hands? 1.00

01:54:56.460 And he made a mistake.

01:54:57.760 And he lost.

01:54:58.380 Yeah.

01:54:58.600 So we did one too where we took a million dollars in cash had people put their hands on it.

01:55:03.740 And I think one of the four people, I don't remember.

01:55:07.020 But like, because after like 18 hours, you start to like forget, you know, you're not

01:55:10.940 100% focused. 0.99

01:55:12.300 I think he just like reached to grab something and then was like, oh shit. 1.00

01:55:15.680 And lost a million dollars. 0.99

01:55:17.900 They say that the world will be changed by individuals and humans.

01:55:21.080 And sometimes you start to think that that's not going to happen.

01:55:23.120 You know, that people are going to expect a government to do it.

01:55:25.480 But then I think you meet somebody like you and you're like, wow, anything is maybe possible,

01:55:29.640 man.

01:55:29.940 I think that's kind of like a feeling that I really got spending time with you today,

01:55:32.780 man.

01:55:33.400 Yeah.

01:55:33.740 Thanks for sharing your new show with me.

01:55:35.320 And is it tough for you to like, so if you have, if you spend so much time working and

01:55:39.860 would it like, is relationship something that's hard for you to navigate?

01:55:44.600 I know you said you have a relationship.

01:55:46.080 Is that a tough thing for you to drop in and also be like a regular person?

01:55:49.520 Like, cause I'll notice I'll invite a girl over and then I'll sit there and do work. 0.94

01:55:52.780 Yeah.

01:55:53.800 Well, that's relationships.

01:55:55.640 Just even outside of dating have always been a problem for me because like, I, I think

01:56:00.780 this might've been a traumatic experience cause I still picture it to this day and I occasionally

01:56:05.040 have dreams of it.

01:56:05.640 But I remember when I was like 15 or 16, like I was so obsessed with YouTube.

01:56:10.980 I remember like at lunch one time, like one person literally just looked me dead in the 0.98

01:56:16.600 eyes and said, do you know how to talk about anything besides fucking YouTube? 0.98

01:56:19.900 And I, that like, and I was like, whoa. 0.97

01:56:23.620 And I like, and then I was like, okay, I'm going to not talk about YouTube.

01:56:27.420 And then, so I just didn't talk like, and like at one point someone unironically asked

01:56:31.920 me if I was mute, like, cause I was just like in my head, I was like, well, people think

01:56:35.920 I talk about YouTube too much and I don't know anything else besides YouTube.

01:56:39.020 And so I just didn't know what to do.

01:56:40.260 And it was like very like traumatic for me because I was so fucking obsessed with it growing

01:56:45.760 up.

01:56:46.000 And the problem is though, right.

01:56:47.920 And back then I thought, okay, I'm a freak of nature.

01:56:51.260 I'm the problem.

01:56:52.100 And I tried to, I tried to watch South Park and I think it's a good show, but I just didn't

01:56:55.840 find it interesting.

01:56:56.580 And, um, and my like opportunity cost brain back then was like, no, I need to be working.

01:57:01.260 This is blah, blah, blah.

01:57:02.640 And so I just never related to anyone.

01:57:04.820 I thought it was because I'm a freak and it's all me, me, me.

01:57:07.280 But then I, as I, when I was like 18 or 19 and it got a little smarter, I realized, no,

01:57:11.800 it's just in my school, there just weren't people who were interested in the same things

01:57:15.200 as me.

01:57:15.480 And so I was like, that's, but it is what it is.

01:57:18.100 I don't need to change who I am.

01:57:19.220 I just need to change the people I'm around.

01:57:20.340 And that was like a big turning point for me.

01:57:22.540 Um, and so, uh, no, I don't struggle with the relationships.

01:57:25.660 I, well, I mean, if you just put me in a room with, um, someone who doesn't, isn't trying

01:57:30.820 to achieve anything or doesn't want to do anything extraordinary and just wants to play video

01:57:34.340 games and blah, blah.

01:57:35.600 Like, yeah, I mean, I wouldn't relate to him.

01:57:37.120 I'd, I'd be a struggle.

01:57:38.580 Um, but you put me in a room with someone who is building a business, um, and trying

01:57:42.700 to do something cool.

01:57:43.440 Like, I mean, we could probably talk for 10 hours straight, you know what I mean?

01:57:46.540 So it's just all who you're around.

01:57:47.980 It's just, those people are pretty rare and you, you don't stumble into them.

01:57:50.740 You have to be very diligent to like have those kinds of people in your life.

01:57:53.900 Um, so yeah, that, that just putting myself around the right kind of people has helped

01:57:59.200 like crazy.

01:57:59.660 And my, my current girlfriend, she's amazing.

01:58:01.760 And she understands that like, you know, growing the channel and making great content.

01:58:05.320 And right now with feastables, because we're trying to build an ethical supply chain. 0.91

01:58:08.840 So I'm doing this on fucking steroid hard mode and all these other things I'm trying 0.95

01:58:12.360 to do. 0.96

01:58:12.660 It's like, it's not easy.

01:58:13.620 And like, you know, she gets it, you know what I mean?

01:58:17.120 Like there are just some days where I won't be able to come home.

01:58:19.080 There are just some days where, you know, I'm going to film for 16 hours and I'm going

01:58:22.320 to, I will come home and I don't even know if my eyes will be open.

01:58:25.360 Like I'm going to come home and just pass out because it was so intense.

01:58:27.760 And, um, so it's great.

01:58:29.320 Like, and we, we communicate really well and, and that kind of stuff.

01:58:32.500 And I'm very happy.

01:58:33.820 Um, but yeah, I guess that's kind of the gist.

01:58:36.900 Like, did you have to say like, will you, can I subscribe to your heart or something

01:58:39.820 like that?

01:58:40.160 Like, no, I, um, it's actually nice though, because one thing I've found is, um, because

01:58:47.020 we're not robots.

01:58:47.680 You do have to take time off, even though I hate that you, you can't work all the time.

01:58:51.300 And so I found that in the past, I would just like, if I went eight days, like really hard

01:58:55.160 or nine days, like sometimes I could get it to 10 or 12 in a row, I would just like wake 0.99

01:58:59.640 up and just feel like shit and crash. 0.85

01:59:01.400 And I need to like watch an anime or something to like decompress and blah, blah. 0.97

01:59:05.920 But I found like, if I consistently spend time with my girlfriend, I don't like boil up to

01:59:10.380 this point where I'm so stressed and I need to crash.

01:59:13.180 I'm losing my mind at borderline.

01:59:14.600 I'm going to have a mental breakdown.

01:59:15.640 You know what I mean?

01:59:16.200 Yeah.

01:59:16.420 Kind of navigated a little bit.

01:59:17.540 Yeah.

01:59:17.780 It's like, you know, because then I get these, it's like decompression shots when I hang

01:59:21.280 out with her like more consistently, because it's like, you know, when you just go home

01:59:24.820 alone to an empty bed, it's like, what do you do besides just sit there and think about

01:59:27.600 work?

01:59:27.860 But if you have this beautiful woman, you're like, oh, this is cool.

01:59:31.120 Let's talk about things.

01:59:31.940 And it's like, helps you like take your mind off work.

01:59:33.840 So I've noticed that's been a good benefit is like, I don't, I just don't have like borderline

01:59:40.040 mental breakdowns as often.

01:59:41.720 Yeah.

01:59:43.100 Yeah.

01:59:43.760 Connections.

01:59:44.200 So you got to connect with people to get put you in a little bit better, better place.

01:59:47.420 Yeah.

01:59:47.880 Yeah.

01:59:48.080 It's important.

01:59:48.760 Um, uh, Jimmy, thanks so much, man.

01:59:51.960 Thanks for spending time, dude.

01:59:53.060 I'm definitely a fan.

01:59:53.860 I, you know, yeah, I'd love to chat again sometime about business or something.

01:59:57.060 And, you know, it's funny.

01:59:58.060 You meet people.

01:59:58.660 Sometimes you think they're, they're heroes or they're great.

02:00:00.580 And sometimes once you learn about them, that's kind of like, whatever, you know,

02:00:03.720 they were, they were better to see from afar.

02:00:06.440 I'm sorry that I was better from afar to let you down.

02:00:09.180 Maybe next time.

02:00:10.480 I was going to say, that's not the case, man.

02:00:12.940 Um, I'm excited.

02:00:13.880 Yeah.

02:00:14.000 I'm excited for everybody to see beast games.

02:00:15.600 Um, are you ever doing a show in North Carolina if they're children or adults?

02:00:18.980 Yeah, man.

02:00:19.260 We'll come over there for sure.

02:00:20.260 I'll invite you.

02:00:21.080 Yeah.

02:00:21.300 If you do a show in North Carolina, we'll be there.

02:00:23.240 I'll invite you to one.

02:00:24.060 Uh, thanks so much for all the content and entertainment.

02:00:25.980 I'm excited to see what you do in the future, man.

02:00:27.840 I think you inspire a lot of people.

02:00:29.480 It's so nice.

02:00:30.060 I hate getting, but I think it's just like anything is possible.

02:00:32.800 I agree. 0.98

02:00:33.260 I hate fucking getting, that's why I'm giving them to you. 0.99

02:00:34.940 I'm going to start complimenting you. 0.99

02:00:35.880 This podcast was amazing.

02:00:37.580 You had great questions.

02:00:38.760 It was very free flowing. 1.00

02:00:39.780 I thought, you know, sometimes you just go on a podcast and it's an absolute shit show, 0.99

02:00:43.820 but this one wasn't. 0.98

02:00:44.860 And I think you're very exceptional at what you do and watch your vernacular is, is very

02:00:48.820 good.

02:00:49.160 And I just really loved, uh, your shoes and how you did things.

02:00:52.560 And I thought your squad was pretty good.

02:00:53.780 They're very welcoming.

02:00:54.880 You made sure I had two cans of Celsius.

02:00:57.140 Um, that was awesome.

02:00:58.380 And just all around a good environment and everything.

02:01:01.780 Thanks, man.

02:01:02.620 Well, we'll see about that.

02:01:05.900 Mr. Beast.

02:01:06.660 See, does, am I the only one, all right, to close it on this, am I the only one that

02:01:10.060 feels uncomfortable when people talk about you like that?

02:01:12.220 Oh, I can't see.

02:01:12.900 It makes me really uncomfortable.

02:01:14.200 I, I, I can't wait for them to get done saying exactly nice.

02:01:18.440 And I've had to train myself to just sit there and take it because I used to always

02:01:21.680 change the subject and it would make it even more uncomfortable because, and, and kind

02:01:25.580 of awkward.

02:01:25.940 So now I've just like practice, like doing this, but because before I noticed my default

02:01:32.400 would always just be to these people start complimenting and I just change the subject

02:01:35.780 instantly.

02:01:36.660 Yeah.

02:01:36.880 Me too.

02:01:37.280 I'll be like, Oh, that's sweet of you to say we should go outdoors.

02:01:39.580 That's what I'll say.

02:01:40.020 Yeah.

02:01:40.200 Or I'd be like, yeah, interesting.

02:01:41.700 Anyways.

02:01:42.140 So what?

02:01:43.040 Yeah.

02:01:43.400 Oh, it's very sweet of you.

02:01:44.360 I was wondering the other day if the jets will win anything this year and people were

02:01:47.600 like, what are we even, you know?

02:01:48.840 But yeah, it's gotten, yeah.

02:01:50.160 Sometimes you navigate it a little bit better as time goes on.

02:01:52.500 You know, is this brand also paying?

02:01:54.860 Nope.

02:01:55.100 I just like their water.

02:01:56.080 Wait.

02:01:56.320 So Celsius had to pay.

02:01:57.880 These guys got it for free.

02:01:59.520 Yeah.

02:02:00.300 But we'd like to get a water.

02:02:01.360 My goal one day is to make a water.

02:02:02.840 Let's see if that makes it.

02:02:03.700 This is my goal to make a water, right?

02:02:07.080 I'm going to have a half, like a, um, wellness facility for people who are recovering from

02:02:11.000 addiction.

02:02:11.520 Right.

02:02:11.980 Okay.

02:02:12.220 And it's on a, on land that has an aquifer so they can access water.

02:02:16.120 And the people that are getting well are, are helping to create like, uh, so they,

02:02:19.940 they, you employ the people with addiction.

02:02:21.740 So you get them out.

02:02:22.480 Yeah.

02:02:22.720 Yeah.

02:02:22.880 And then the water gets sold and the money goes to the facility.

02:02:26.300 So it's like, cause so many people have been ruined by addiction that our government supported,

02:02:30.820 right?

02:02:31.040 Or didn't really combat like an opioid epidemic.

02:02:33.640 So I'm like, well, how do you beat them and you get something everybody needs that's

02:02:37.380 clean for people, which is water.

02:02:38.900 And then every time they buy it, they're helping somebody get clean, you know?

02:02:43.860 Or what if you give them drugs and they go sell drugs and then they just put their addiction

02:02:49.880 to good use?

02:02:51.540 Oh, that's what you're talking about.

02:02:52.420 Yeah.

02:02:53.780 Yeah.

02:02:54.180 I feel like that do better.

02:02:56.400 Cause they, they probably know the drug landscape and other addicts really well.

02:03:00.120 Oh, that's a good point.

02:03:00.820 You're kind of putting them in a whole new territory.

02:03:02.360 Yeah, exactly.

02:03:02.820 I feel like just lean into what they're good at. 0.99

02:03:04.780 They're a drug addict. 0.99

02:03:05.560 Just let them sell drugs. 1.00

02:03:07.160 You know what?

02:03:07.680 We'll try both.

02:03:08.420 We'll try both, you know, and we'll get some, we'll get some.

02:03:11.440 All right.

02:03:11.480 He's been trying to end this for like five minutes.

02:03:13.140 All right.

02:03:13.760 Bye.

02:03:13.920 Thanks.

02:03:14.180 Now I'm just floating on the breeze and I feel I'm falling like these leaves.

02:03:20.640 I must be cornerstone.

02:03:24.180 Oh, but when I reach that ground, I'll share this peace of mind.

02:03:30.560 And I found I can feel it in my bones.

02:03:35.740 But it's gonna tell you.
