00:00:00.000 How's it going everybody?
00:00:11.000 Welcome to the show.
00:00:12.000 I am Tim Poole.
00:00:13.000 And I'm Adam Krigler.
00:00:13.000 What up?
00:00:15.000 How you guys doing?
00:00:15.000 And we're also joined by... The Invisible Lady.
00:00:18.000 The Invisible Lydia of Whiterun.
00:00:20.000 Boy do I have good news for everybody, and you can tell by the title of this stream.
00:00:26.000 Guess what we're gonna talk about today?
00:00:29.000 Celebrity gossip.
00:00:30.000 Yay!
00:00:30.000 Celebrity gossip!
00:00:31.000 It's actually, it's, it's, you know, okay man.
00:00:35.000 As long as it's not the apocalypse, I'm kinda happy.
00:00:39.000 Cause there was this period where it was like everyday we'd sit down and be like, what's in the news today?
00:00:43.000 Oh.
00:00:44.000 Coronavirus.
00:00:44.000 Oh, wow.
00:00:45.000 So I don't know if you guys have heard, Bernie Sanders quit.
00:00:47.000 Yep.
00:00:48.000 And somebody tweeted something.
00:00:49.000 They were like, I would like to thank Bernie Sanders for giving us something other than coronavirus to talk about.
00:00:54.000 Yeah.
00:00:55.000 And I was like, here, here.
00:00:56.000 Because like the top four national trends were like a million tweets about Bernie and Biden.
00:01:00.000 And we're not even going to talk about that.
00:01:01.000 Oh, no, we're not.
00:01:02.000 No way.
00:01:03.000 No, I'm not interested.
00:01:05.000 No, we're gonna have a more fun time.
00:01:09.000 It's woke Twitter, and they're just tearing Ellen DeGeneres apart because she made a stupid joke about how being in lockdown is like being in jail.
00:01:19.000 And part of me is like, well, it's a bit insensitive, you know?
00:01:22.000 And then I'm like, You're like, oh, wait a minute.
00:01:24.000 I made that joke.
00:01:25.000 I made that joke yesterday.
00:01:26.000 Yeah.
00:01:26.000 And I just don't care.
00:01:27.000 Yeah.
00:01:28.000 And then, like, we were sitting here and I was like, you know what's really happening?
00:01:31.000 Ellen made a joke.
00:01:32.000 These woke Twitter people are pretending to be angry about it because they're bored.
00:01:35.000 And we're pretending to be angry that they're angry because we're bored, too.
00:01:38.000 And that's just that's just how the Internet works.
00:01:40.000 Yeah.
00:01:41.000 For real, dude.
00:01:41.000 So much of every kind of political content is people pretending to be mad about something.
00:01:46.000 That's so true.
00:01:47.000 Yeah.
00:01:47.000 I'm angry.
00:01:48.000 Well, why?
00:01:49.000 Well, someone out there somewhere might be angry.
00:01:51.000 That's why I'm angry.
00:01:53.000 Right?
00:01:53.000 Wait, what?
00:01:54.000 But like all of the all of this anti-Trump stuff.
00:01:57.000 So one of the funny things I was talking about earlier today was that Snopes actually fact checked the New York Times as false.
00:02:05.000 It's kind of the New York Times, but a bunch of articles like the Huffington Post were like, Donald Trump owns a stake in the company that makes the coronavirus treatment he's been pushing.
00:02:15.000 And it's like, he doesn't.
00:02:16.000 It's just not true.
00:02:17.000 Snopes actually fact-checked them.
00:02:19.000 But it's because they need to pretend to be angry.
00:02:23.000 How insane, man.
00:02:25.000 When you actually get fact-checked by Snopes, and they're like, being honest, that must have been really bad.
00:02:31.000 Snopes is like, alright guys, we're gonna actually do some work today.
00:02:35.000 They didn't want to.
00:02:35.000 You know, they were like, don't make me do it, boss.
00:02:38.000 How can we put ice cream into this somehow?
00:02:42.000 The boss walks up to the staff, and he's like, I hate to have to do this to you guys, but... You're gonna have to work.
00:02:48.000 You're gonna have to fact check the New York Times.
00:02:50.000 No!
00:02:50.000 Not the New York Times!
00:02:51.000 Don't make me do it!
00:02:53.000 And then like... They pay our bills!
00:02:54.000 No, I don't know.
00:02:55.000 Somebody writes it, and the boss is like sent the draft, and he's got his finger over the enter key to like submit.
00:03:00.000 He's like, I can't do it!
00:03:01.000 And then like...
00:03:02.000 Someone else comes and pushes the hand down.
00:03:04.000 His secretary, she's like, be a man, and she pushes his hand.
00:03:07.000 It's enter.
00:03:09.000 New York Times fake news.
00:03:11.000 The story was so insanely fake, they had no choice.
00:03:14.000 That's how insane it was.
00:03:16.000 Very insane.
00:03:17.000 Well, today, we got a couple stories for you.
00:03:19.000 We got some fun science stuff.
00:03:21.000 We got how to be a man.
00:03:22.000 Testosterone makes men more honest.
00:03:26.000 And there is a real tough man versus a fake tough man.
00:03:32.000 I think we got some stuff.
00:03:33.000 Oh yeah, no one's paying rent.
00:03:34.000 This is crazy.
00:03:35.000 Well, there's people paying rent, but there's a good chunk that are just not paying rent.
00:03:40.000 A third of people just didn't pay rent.
00:03:41.000 That's not really surprising, though.
00:03:42.000 We will break down for you how many of them are just communists and how many of them actually just lost their jobs and are in serious trouble and need help.
00:03:50.000 So, as always, you can hop in the super chat if you'd like us to read your comments.

00:03:56.000 Hit the notification bell.
00:03:57.000 And share it.
00:03:58.000 Follow our social media accounts.
00:03:59.000 Oh, hold on.
00:04:00.000 And share.
00:04:00.000 There's so much work you have to do.
00:04:02.000 You have homework when you watch this show.
00:04:04.000 The most important thing is to go and tell all your friends how cool I am.
00:04:07.000 Yes, thank you all for hitting me up with awesome ideas.
00:04:10.000 You guys are great, and keep up the good work.
00:04:13.000 Oh, it's over here now.
00:04:15.000 There's my handle.
00:04:16.000 Hit me up on Twitter, and that's the best way to send me ideas.
00:04:21.000 There you go.
00:04:21.000 Yeah, on Twitter, Instagram.
00:04:23.000 Well, let's talk about Miss Ellen DeGeneres.
00:04:26.000 Ah, the poor multi-millionaire TV celebrity who is stuck in her mansion while the help cleans her windows.
00:04:33.000 So, she's getting ripped apart by woke Twitter, and it's kind of woke Twitter, it's not the wokest of Twitter, it's just the blue-checky journalist types that are piling on.
00:04:42.000 Just, you know what?
00:04:44.000 They're piranhas.
00:04:45.000 There was blood in the water.
00:04:46.000 Yeah, none of them actually care about Ellen at all.
00:04:50.000 They're making fun jokes.
00:04:51.000 They're like, oh, I can make some funny joke.
00:04:53.000 And they're like, well, do you really care about Ellen?
00:04:55.000 No, no, no.
00:04:55.000 But I can make funny jokes out of it, though.
00:04:58.000 And that's what we're seeing.
00:04:59.000 It's like a mob, you know?
00:05:00.000 Yeah.
00:05:00.000 It's just a mob of people running through the streets screaming.
00:05:03.000 And one person does something, and then everyone else wants to be a part of it.
00:05:05.000 So they jump in.
00:05:06.000 No one really knows why they're angry.
00:05:07.000 But hey, man, it's fun to be a part of the crowd, right?
00:05:10.000 It's true.
00:05:10.000 So here's what.
00:05:12.000 We've got an excellent source for you today.
00:05:14.000 Our source today is Cosmopolitan Magazine, the bastion of great journalism.
00:05:18.000 Yes.
00:05:20.000 And here's what they wrote.
00:05:22.000 Since it's incredibly unsafe to go outside, if you're not an essential worker these days,
00:05:26.000 many celebrities have been social distancing in their gigantic homes while slowly unraveling.
00:05:32.000 We saw it happen with Gal Gadot and her celebrity friends who decided to sing
00:05:35.000 Imagine instead of donating some of their millions. We saw it happen when Vanessa Hudgens
00:05:41.000 went on Instagram Live and said deaths related to COVID were inevitable. And we're seeing it
00:05:45.000 again with Ellen DeGeneres.
00:05:47.000 As part of her new temporary Ellen Show setup, Ellen sat in her living room in front of a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking lush greenery.
00:05:57.000 After giving some words of encouragement to her fans, Ellen then compared her new normal to being in jail.
00:06:02.000 She first joked, There is so much wrong with that joke from a woke perspective.
00:06:06.000 That's true.
00:06:06.000 because it has the best light and sound, and all the other rooms in my house are filled with toilet paper."
00:06:10.000 Then she added, "'This is like being in jail, mostly because I've been
00:06:14.000 wearing the same clothes for 10 days and everyone here is gay.'"
00:06:17.000 There is so much wrong with that joke from a woke perspective.
00:06:21.000 That's true.
00:06:22.000 First of all, wearing the same clothes is like the least of the issue of being in jail.
00:06:27.000 Right.
00:06:27.000 But also saying everyone is gay.
00:06:30.000 Wow, that's that's bold to make a rape joke about our prison system.
00:06:34.000 It's true.
00:06:34.000 No wonder she's getting torn up a bit.
00:06:36.000 Yeah, it's a little it's different than I expected it to be.
00:06:38.000 I actually didn't hear that whole the whole thing.
00:06:40.000 Yeah, the people there aren't gay by choice in many of those circumstances.
00:06:47.000 Or they're not gay at all, and things just happen that they have no say in.
00:06:54.000 Not funny, but you know what?
00:06:56.000 I'm not somebody who gets bent out of shape because someone said a joke I don't find funny.
00:06:59.000 I'm like, oh, I get what she was going for.
00:07:01.000 Yeah, I don't care.
00:07:02.000 I'm an adult.
00:07:03.000 I've got bills to pay.
00:07:04.000 I'm not gonna cry about this.
00:07:05.000 Well, apparently there are people who will cry about it, and we all expect it as much.
00:07:10.000 Obviously, this is a tone-deaf comment to make any time, but it's especially grating now as inmates have an increased risk of catching coronavirus and feel like sitting ducks.
00:07:19.000 One man at a facility in Louisiana even told NPR, Surely that's not what's happening in whichever mansion Ellen decided to social distance and film her daily talk show in.
00:07:27.000 There are a bunch of sickly people in this camp. I just pray something happens soon.
00:07:31.000 Surely that's not what's happening in whichever mansion Ellen decided to social distance and film her daily talk
00:07:36.000 show in.
00:07:36.000 Just a hunch!
00:07:38.000 Predictably, after people watched this segment, they dragged Ellen for the comparison.
00:07:42.000 Making this one of the many times in recent memory that people were not laughing along with her.
00:07:46.000 They say, remember the Dakota Johnson interview?
00:07:49.000 And when she hung out with George W. Bush?
00:07:52.000 One variety writer.
00:07:52.000 Oh, here comes woke Twitter.
00:07:54.000 Carolyn Frampke tweeted, What a great look for Ellen as thousands of people sit in actual jail cells just hoping for the best without soap and basic protection.
00:08:02.000 Others said, Ellen really is the worst.
00:08:04.000 And people are dying.
00:08:05.000 I'm afraid to leave my house every day, but I have to.
00:08:08.000 But okay, go off, Ellen.
00:08:10.000 Social isolation is bad, stressful, and causes increased depression and anxiety, but it ain't jail.
00:08:15.000 I mean, there are so many tweets about this.
00:08:17.000 Some of the tweets are actually pretty funny.
00:08:18.000 This one, I love this one, look at it.
00:08:20.000 Reductress said, it's sort of like being in prison, says woman eating yogurt in bed who also has voting rights.
00:08:26.000 So, I don't care if Ellen makes a stupid joke.
00:08:30.000 It is kind of telling, though, when you see that other video.
00:08:33.000 That video that you found.
00:08:35.000 Oh yeah.
00:08:36.000 Do you want to go straight to the darkness?
00:08:38.000 I mean, it just touched on that, though.
00:08:40.000 It was talking about exactly that.
00:08:42.000 We're going to go straight for the darkness.
00:08:45.000 Yeah, straight into it.
00:08:46.000 It's fitting.
00:08:47.000 Look at this.
00:08:47.000 I'm actually going to play this video because it's kind of brutal.
00:08:51.000 It is pretty brutal.
00:08:52.000 It's true. I mean, they have masks, but they're not there.
00:08:57.000 They're not right next to each other.
00:08:58.000 Yep. Cram the rooms. So there's this video that's gone viral and we got to be careful
00:09:03.000 because we've seen viral videos in the past just because it's viral doesn't mean it's true.
00:09:06.000 Yeah. But it's also, but it's, it's purportedly of a dude in jail and one dude's wheezing because
00:09:12.000 he's got COVID and this, this, the dude filming is like, what are we supposed to do? This dude's
00:09:16.000 literally dying right now. I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing. And he's like, he's
00:09:19.000 He's just sitting right here.
00:09:20.000 Like what?
00:09:22.000 Yeah, he's like, we can't even social distance.
00:09:24.000 Meanwhile, you got Ellen chilling in her mansion like, oh man, I'm in jail, hee hee!
00:09:29.000 So, here's a funny thing.
00:09:30.000 The people are dying quote.
00:09:32.000 Right.
00:09:33.000 You know what, man?
00:09:34.000 I hear you.
00:09:35.000 People are dying.
00:09:36.000 Yeah.
00:09:37.000 But they've said that about literally everything.
00:09:40.000 It's like... It's true.
00:09:42.000 You walk outside and some kid drops a glass of milk and they're like, people are dying!
00:09:45.000 And you're like, it's spilled milk, dude.
00:09:48.000 To use a silly analogy, but they literally cry about everything.
00:09:51.000 Yeah, some food, like the biscuit.
00:09:53.000 I didn't finish eating the biscuit.
00:09:55.000 You know, they're starving people out there, dying.
00:09:58.000 People are dying, as a quote, is used in every single social justice protest.
00:10:02.000 So, like, if you say something like, I believe in free speech, they'll go, people are dying!
00:10:06.000 And you're like, I have no idea what that has to do with, like, Louis C.K.
00:10:11.000 making an offensive joke.
00:10:12.000 I'm sorry, I just, I don't understand.
00:10:14.000 But that's what they say.
00:10:15.000 So now it's funny because one of the things we've talked about is how the social justice activists kind of have no leg to stand on.
00:10:22.000 Yeah.
00:10:23.000 Because a lot of their vanity politics, nobody cares now that people are dying.
00:10:28.000 Yep, exactly.
00:10:29.000 But now they're like, people are dying.
00:10:30.000 And it's like, well, this time you're right.
00:10:33.000 All right.
00:10:34.000 You got me now.
00:10:34.000 Yeah, this time.
00:10:37.000 That's why it's funny, I think it's funny that we're reading like Woke Twitter and Cosmo making fun of Ellen and we're all like enjoying it.
00:10:44.000 There's like something interesting, like something amazing is happening.
00:10:47.000 Alyssa Milano came out and she sides with Joe Biden and then both sides of the culture were come together in harmony holding hands to make fun of Alyssa Milano.
00:10:55.000 And you get Bernie Sanders dropping out today.
00:10:57.000 And then you get the Trump supporters and the Bernie Sanders supporters like
00:11:00.000 holding hands like in harmony, like ragging on the democratic establishment.
00:11:03.000 It's weird.
00:11:04.000 I said it like a month and a half ago when this whole thing started happening.
00:11:07.000 Like, is this going to be our space race?
00:11:09.000 Like that's going to bring everyone together.
00:11:10.000 It really does feel that way.
00:11:12.000 Like we're all coming together, like realizing celebrities aren't really that special.
00:11:17.000 You know, what's really special is the people that are being, I mean, they're
00:11:21.000 not going out and working by choice.
00:11:23.000 They have no choice.
00:11:24.000 They have to go work.
00:11:25.000 It's like, we're all calling them heroes, but they have no choice.
00:11:28.000 It's like, they're risking their lives to be out in man, the countless
00:11:32.000 different things that they're doing.
00:11:33.000 You know, I can only think of the Lord of the Rings meme.
00:11:36.000 Which one?
00:11:36.000 Gimli, he looks at Legolas and he's like, I never thought I'd die fighting beside an elf.
00:11:42.000 Oh yeah.
00:11:43.000 And I'm like, I never thought I'd laugh at jokes by woke Twitter making fun of, you know, a celebrity.
00:11:50.000 Side by side.
00:11:50.000 So they just show a bunch of tweets.
00:11:54.000 But I gotta be honest.
00:11:56.000 It's just people trying to get in the bandwagon.
00:11:58.000 Does anybody really care that Ellen made a stupid joke?
00:12:02.000 No, it has nothing to do with Ellen.
00:12:03.000 Right.
00:12:03.000 It's like, oh, I can make a funny joke and people will spread it around.
00:12:06.000 Exactly.
00:12:06.000 And I'll get some hits.
00:12:07.000 And I'll get some likes.
00:12:08.000 It's like, oh, I want to play?
00:12:09.000 I want to play!
00:12:10.000 Yeah, that's what it is.
00:12:11.000 And they tweet it.
00:12:13.000 And somebody just, like, quoted it.
00:12:15.000 Some of it's just not even... Like, I'm angry about this.
00:12:19.000 What is this?
00:12:20.000 Yeah, Ellen might want to address this on her next YouTube video.
00:12:22.000 Well, she deleted the video, apparently.
00:12:23.000 Oh, did she?
00:12:24.000 Yeah, I guess you took it down.
00:12:25.000 Oh, no, it's right here, isn't it?
00:12:27.000 Is it up?
00:12:29.000 Okay, it's up.
00:12:29.000 I'm not going to play that.
00:12:30.000 I do not want to hear that music.
00:12:32.000 Thank you.
00:12:32.000 Yeah, apparently some people were saying it.
00:12:35.000 I mean, celebrities have been, for the most part, going insane.
00:12:38.000 What is this?
00:12:40.000 Can we not?
00:12:41.000 Are you going to... You're giving me the business?
00:12:44.000 Okay, I guess they kicked me out because I...
00:12:47.000 What is this?
00:12:48.000 Oh, I see what happened.
00:12:49.000 They were like, why don't you subscribe?
00:12:50.000 Why don't you pay for this?
00:12:52.000 So we covered, I don't want to say we covered it, but we made fun of celebrities quite a bit a couple weeks ago.
00:12:58.000 It's fun.
00:12:59.000 And everyone seems to be in on it.
00:13:02.000 And it's kind of a cool thing, you know?
00:13:04.000 Like, hey, let's make fun of these people.
00:13:06.000 It's cool because we used to just needlessly prop them up.
00:13:09.000 Everybody wanted to know who they were, what they were wearing, where they took poops and like, you know what I mean?
00:13:15.000 People would like hide in bushes, take pictures of them.
00:13:17.000 Now everyone's just making fun of them.
00:13:19.000 So as much as like the Ellen DeGeneres thing is a bunch of people who just don't, they don't actually care about Ellen, but they want to be a part of the crowd.
00:13:25.000 I kind of dig it.
00:13:26.000 You know what?
00:13:27.000 I feel like there's one celeb that might be above this.
00:13:31.000 Ryan Reynolds?
00:13:31.000 Bill Murray.
00:13:32.000 Bill Murray!
00:13:33.000 Bill Murray can just do whatever he wants.
00:13:36.000 There's a handful.
00:13:38.000 Yeah, there's a few.
00:13:39.000 I don't know.
00:13:40.000 I feel like Bill Murray, he's kind of like the craziest one of them all that can just pop into your party and be like, hey, what up?
00:13:51.000 He's not going to lose it though.
00:13:53.000 I feel like he lost it long ago.
00:13:55.000 If Bill Murray made a video and he was like, Hey everybody, Bill Murray here.
00:13:59.000 I hope you're all staying safe.
00:14:01.000 Just want to make sure you're doing all right and you're staying home.
00:14:03.000 Have a good one.
00:14:04.000 Then people would be like, Whoa, what happened to this guy?
00:14:06.000 Oh my God.
00:14:07.000 Wait, Bill Murray's normal?
00:14:09.000 Yeah.
00:14:09.000 He's a normal celebrity.
00:14:11.000 Say something crazy.
00:14:12.000 He's like, you know, kind of like a Ryan Reynolds kind of character.
00:14:14.000 Ryan Reynolds is kind of like Bill Murray.
00:14:15.000 Yeah.
00:14:16.000 So I'm not going to read through this article, but it's just funny because this is the cut from New York Mag.
00:14:22.000 The celebs are losing it.
00:14:24.000 I saw this and I said to myself, I read this article two weeks ago.
00:14:28.000 They keep losing it.
00:14:30.000 They're consistently losing it.
00:14:31.000 But this just came out like five days, six days ago.
00:14:33.000 Yeah, it was like a week ago.
00:14:34.000 And then we have, this one's funny.
00:14:36.000 Tell us.
00:14:36.000 from the spectator. Why we love to hate celebrities. One world together at home is a weirdly complacent
00:14:42.000 name. And this is just again. It's not that I care to like read the opinion pieces about
00:14:48.000 celebrities. Yeah. But I noticed there was something unifying all of us. We used to be
00:14:53.000 unified by knowing these celebrities and talking about them.
00:14:57.000 Now we're unified in our hatred of them.
00:14:59.000 Our love slash hatred.
00:15:01.000 You know what's interesting?
00:15:02.000 I heard that, you know Bollywood in India?
00:15:05.000 For those that don't know, India is Hollywood.
00:15:09.000 I heard that in India, they're looked down upon.
00:15:13.000 Whereas in the United States, celebrities are looked up to.
00:15:17.000 Yeah, so I don't know if that's true.
00:15:20.000 People have said to me that in India they don't consider it to be a high class kind of thing, where in America they're celebrities.
00:15:25.000 They're the rich and the wealthy and the famous and everyone wants to be like them and all that stuff.
00:15:30.000 Now we're just making fun of them all.
00:15:32.000 That's kind of a cool thing, because if we can discourage people from trying to be like these awful people, then, you know... And be more like doctors?
00:15:39.000 Yeah, or grocery store food stalkers.
00:15:43.000 Well, no, I was talking about, like... I mean, sure, yeah, that's a necessity right now, but, you know, back in the day, it was more like, you know, you aspire to be like a doctor, or the president, or an astronaut, or a scientist that discovers life on another planet.
00:16:00.000 You know what kids want to be today?
00:16:02.000 Celebrities?
00:16:03.000 Kind of.
00:16:04.000 You're close.
00:16:05.000 It's more specific.
00:16:06.000 Uh... Influencers?
00:16:08.000 Even closer!
00:16:09.000 You're getting warm.
00:16:10.000 What is it?
00:16:12.000 You want the answer?
00:16:12.000 Yeah, just tell me.
00:16:13.000 YouTuber.
00:16:14.000 Oh, really?
00:16:14.000 Yep.
00:16:15.000 I mean, it might... Okay.
00:16:16.000 So this was, I think, last year they did a survey, like, what do you want to be when you're an adult?
00:16:20.000 And, like, the biggest group said YouTuber.
00:16:22.000 Like, YouTube famous.
00:16:24.000 And then there was, um...
00:16:27.000 I would imagine today it's like TikTok.
00:16:29.000 Okay.
00:16:29.000 Yeah, but you guys want to hear a funny story?
00:16:31.000 Because you weren't around for this.
00:16:32.000 Sure.
00:16:33.000 When I first moved to this house, I'm like, it's kind of empty.
00:16:37.000 And there's a knock on the door.
00:16:39.000 And I walk up to the door and I open it and there's a bunch of like 14 year old girls.
00:16:43.000 Yeah.
00:16:43.000 Standing on my porch with their arms crossed like you know looking all I don't know
00:16:48.000 Sassy 14 year old girl, and then one girl's like she looks at me
00:16:52.000 She goes are you a famous youtuber?
00:16:54.000 And I was like what and she goes my mom says you're a famous youtuber
00:16:58.000 And I laughed and I was like I don't know and she goes I bet you're rich, and I laughed
00:17:03.000 I was like, what?
00:17:03.000 And she goes, yeah.
00:17:04.000 And then the other girl was like, my dad said you're really rich.
00:17:07.000 And I'm like, who?
00:17:08.000 I just moved here.
00:17:09.000 Who are you people?
00:17:09.000 Like, who's going around and saying all these things is not true.
00:17:12.000 And I was like, your parents probably make way more than I do.
00:17:15.000 And then they were like, I can't remember what they asked me, but I was like, is that, is that all you wanted to know?
00:17:18.000 Can I, can I go back to like playing video games or not?
00:17:21.000 Just playing Warcraft or something.
00:17:23.000 But I think the reason, I don't know why they, why they came here and did it.
00:17:27.000 It was funny.
00:17:28.000 I was like these weird little kids, but uh, yeah.
00:17:30.000 You're a mini celebrity to them.
00:17:32.000 Well, no, but to me, I grew up in an era of YouTube, so YouTube to me isn't special.
00:17:39.000 It's interesting because I feel like we're always looking up to the people who came before us, and so, to the person, like, man...
00:17:48.000 When you get to that point, when you're in your thirties and you're like, you are the head of your, you know, uh, your office or something.
00:17:55.000 Okay.
00:17:56.000 Like, let's say you're, you're no longer the apprentice.
00:17:59.000 You've now taken over the principal, you know, task at your, at your company.
00:18:03.000 Maybe you've become like the chief, the chief chef or whatever.
00:18:06.000 To you, it's just normal.
00:18:08.000 It's like, I've been here for a long time and now I'm doing my thing.
00:18:11.000 Yeah.
00:18:12.000 But other people come in, they look at you and you're like, you're the man, you're the boss.
00:18:15.000 Right.
00:18:15.000 So for me, it's like, I'm just like, I'm not, I'm just a guy who started filming myself.
00:18:19.000 I don't know anything about YouTube, but these younger people see YouTubers and they're like rock stars.
00:18:23.000 Yeah.
00:18:23.000 You saw you too.
00:18:24.000 You, you were there when there was no YouTube.
00:18:27.000 Yeah.
00:18:27.000 You know?
00:18:28.000 So now, you know, and you've seen it and you've grown with it.
00:18:31.000 But for me, it's, it's still like, it reminds me of that episode of the Simpsons where Homer wanted to be an inventor.
00:18:36.000 Okay.
00:18:36.000 And then he made that, uh, he's like, he, he was obsessed with Thomas Edison.
00:18:40.000 So he made this little chart showing Edison and all the things he had invented by a certain time frame and then him.
00:18:47.000 And then when he finally went to Edison's office museum or whatever, he saw the exact same thing where it said Da Vinci and Edison.
00:18:54.000 And so he was like, wow, it's just like me.
00:18:55.000 It's kind of a stupid thing because Edison was just like a businessman.
00:18:58.000 But that's kind of the idea.
00:19:00.000 These kids look at me on YouTube and they think like, oh wow, and for me I'm kind of like, I'm looking at TV anchors and like multi-millionaire network hosts.
00:19:10.000 Who's the person you look up to?
00:19:11.000 Look up to?
00:19:13.000 I wouldn't say I look up to anybody.
00:19:14.000 No?
00:19:14.000 I'd say like, in terms of production quality and wealth and success, it would be like primetime cable news anchors or personalities.
00:19:22.000 But no one in particular?
00:19:23.000 No, I mean, I think one of the things that'll lead you to success is thinking everyone's a moron.
00:19:29.000 So I think everybody on TV is stupid, like Ellen especially.
00:19:37.000 Pretty sure she can take a joke?
00:19:38.000 No, I don't really think she's stupid.
00:19:39.000 She's obviously smart enough to be successful in everything she's done, so that means she's avoided pitfalls and has been able to expand her company.
00:19:46.000 In terms of the news space, I think no one does it better than Joe Rogan, whether he will publicly say it or not.
00:19:55.000 He does shows where he interviews smart scientists and stuff, and it's the biggest podcast in the world.
00:20:02.000 I look at the cable TV people.
00:20:05.000 And I do think it's fascinating that they have less influence.
00:20:08.000 That's like the old guard.
00:20:10.000 It's kind of fading away and dying out.
00:20:12.000 So anyway, that's kind of the point, you know, whether it matters or not.
00:20:17.000 As for the celebrities, I'm actually excited that the old traditional TV style stuff is burning out.
00:20:26.000 And they're trying to be YouTube stars.
00:20:27.000 Yep.
00:20:28.000 They're trying to dive into YouTube and it's not working.
00:20:28.000 Boom.
00:20:32.000 Nope.
00:20:33.000 It's like, get out my house.
00:20:34.000 That's literally what Ellen was doing.
00:20:35.000 I know.
00:20:35.000 And it ended up blowing up in her face.
00:20:37.000 I mean, everyone's talking about Ellen right now.
00:20:41.000 So it's like Alyssa Milano.
00:20:44.000 Everyone's talking about Alyssa Milano.
00:20:45.000 And it's like, maybe that's all she wanted was just people talking about her.
00:20:49.000 Maybe.
00:20:49.000 But they're more sensitive to high profile brands.
00:20:52.000 I don't think that's exactly what Ellen was doing though.
00:20:54.000 She wasn't trying to get attention.
00:20:55.000 No, no, I know.
00:20:56.000 That's what I'm saying.
00:20:57.000 She's just corny.
00:20:58.000 Yeah, she's quirky, and honestly, it is kind of funny.
00:21:03.000 If you take out any of the being offended part of it, it's kind of funny.
00:21:10.000 It's like something George Carlin would say.
00:21:11.000 It's like, oh, well, that's what George Carlin would say.
00:21:14.000 He's like that.
00:21:15.000 It's like, well... Her saying, it's like being in jail, that's the joke.
00:21:20.000 It's ironic that she's a wealthy individual in a mansion comparing it to jail.
00:21:24.000 That's literally the joke.
00:21:25.000 Exactly.
00:21:26.000 Now that everyone here is gay, I thought was pretty brazen considering, you know.
00:21:30.000 She's gay, so maybe that was part of the joke.
00:21:33.000 Right.
00:21:34.000 Well, and her wife is also gay.
00:21:36.000 Yeah, and so I mean...
00:21:37.000 But I mean, talking about prisons and the people there don't go in like...
00:21:43.000 Voluntarily gay.
00:21:45.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:21:45.000 That's really it.
00:21:46.000 Look, I'm not gonna complain about a joke that's offensive.
00:21:48.000 I'm the last person to.
00:21:50.000 I'm the one who turns on the Count Dankula videos and laughs at them,
00:21:52.000 and they're like as offensive as they possibly come.
00:21:55.000 But you give the woke Twitterati an opportunity to pretend to be angry.
00:22:00.000 Yeah, there you go.
00:22:01.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:22:01.000 That's really it, nailed it.
00:22:03.000 All right, so shall we just jump over and talk about the rent stuff?
00:22:08.000 Yeah, let's do it.
00:22:09.000 So the next bit we got for you guys is actually on a more serious note.
00:22:12.000 And I thought it was a good segue because we just talked about Ellen DeGeneres and her fancy mansion and the celebrities with all their glorious wealth.
00:22:19.000 Yeah.
00:22:20.000 And now we have the other side of things.
00:22:21.000 The people who don't live in mansions, who live in cubicles in New York and can't afford to pay rent because most of them lost their jobs at some point in March.
00:22:28.000 And now they're not paying them.
00:22:30.000 And this is also interesting because over a week ago, we were talking about it.
00:22:33.000 TikTok, the time bomb, when rent won't get paid and the ripple effect it'll have on the economy.
00:22:38.000 So they're doing this thing with the CARES Act, the stimulus package, that all businesses can apply for like a three month loan that will cover your payroll.
00:22:49.000 And then as long as it goes to payroll, you don't got to pay it back.
00:22:52.000 That's dope.
00:22:53.000 Basically a grant.
00:22:53.000 That's really cool.
00:22:54.000 It is, but I'm curious as to what the long-term effects are going to be.
00:22:59.000 Yeah, printing more money, right?
00:23:02.000 What you've got to understand, too, is there are a lot of businesses that don't need it.
00:23:05.000 Okay, that's a good point.
00:23:06.000 And it's going to cause inflation, will devalue currency, and you have some businesses that are desperate for it, and it won't be enough.
00:23:16.000 Because it's not just about payroll, it's like, if you've got to buy product, you've got to move product.
00:23:20.000 Oh, that's great, I can pay the staff, but how do I buy the thing to make them actually, you know?
00:23:25.000 Let's say you have a company that makes birdhouses.
00:23:27.000 It's like, congratulations, you can pay the guy to make the birdhouse, but you can't pay for the wood.
00:23:30.000 Then you've got companies where it's like, I don't know, some dude on YouTube who complains about his feelings.
00:23:36.000 And it's like, I just keep doing my thing, and it's the same eligibility.
00:23:41.000 So it's not perfect.
00:23:42.000 But, you know, it's curious.
00:23:45.000 I guess the general idea is they want to give people money, but they don't want to break the economy.
00:23:55.000 So it's like, you're not working, but we're giving you money, but through your job.
00:24:00.000 So it's like... Yeah.
00:24:02.000 One of the other big things, apparently, was that they're going to give everyone guaranteed unemployment if they lost their job, plus $600, thus incentivizing people to quit their jobs or leave their jobs.
00:24:11.000 Right, because you'll make more money that way.
00:24:14.000 Right.
00:24:15.000 Yeah, there was a concern that, you know, people would ask their bosses to, like, lay them off so they could make more money.
00:24:21.000 But the rent thing is interesting because I think we've got a mix of the photo they used is great.
00:24:27.000 Let's get into superchats so we can actually do this.
00:24:31.000 Do what?
00:24:32.000 Do the subject.
00:24:33.000 We were gonna do superchats.
00:24:37.000 I thought so.
00:24:38.000 Well, we'll jump into superchats.
00:24:40.000 Let's do that.
00:24:42.000 What up, everybody?
00:24:43.000 What?
00:24:43.000 Heyo.
00:24:43.000 No.
00:24:43.000 I didn't know anything about that.
00:24:44.000 It seems awfully specific.
00:24:45.000 Yeah, but alright.
00:24:46.000 Yeah, right?
00:24:46.000 Very cool.
00:24:46.000 Justin O'Toole says, Have you heard about players in Borderlands 3 being able to help
00:24:50.000 scientists with research into microbes via a minigame?
00:24:53.000 I think it's awesome.
00:24:55.000 Thoughts?
00:24:56.000 I didn't know anything about that.
00:24:57.000 It seems awfully specific.
00:24:58.000 Yeah, but all right.
00:25:01.000 Very cool.
00:25:02.000 Interesting.
00:25:03.000 Mark Taylor says, Mr. President, the resident perpetual intellectual and political semen
00:25:07.000 demon that gets me screaming.
00:25:09.000 Wow.
00:25:10.000 UU says, Soy Jesus hearted my Twitter post thanking y'all.
00:25:13.000 Well, there you go.
00:25:14.000 Is that true?
00:25:15.000 You did.
00:25:15.000 I must have.
00:25:17.000 Alright.
00:25:17.000 Brother says, Adam looks like a BeeGee.
00:25:20.000 Yes.
00:25:20.000 Okay.
00:25:21.000 Do you know the BeeGees?
00:25:22.000 Yeah.
00:25:23.000 Yeah, staying alive.
00:25:24.000 Kyle Buchanan says, Hey Tim, can you post a pic of your PC?
00:25:27.000 Lydia, you are beautiful, Adam, and Tim, I have never played Magic, can you explain it to me?
00:25:32.000 It is a trading card game where you have a stack of cards, you draw them, and each of them has a special thing on it, and you do that.
00:25:41.000 And then, that's the game.
00:25:42.000 And you try to kill the other person.
00:25:44.000 Yes, but only in fantasy.
00:25:46.000 Yeah, and it doesn't ever cause arguments among friends.
00:25:49.000 Oh, man.
00:25:49.000 Never.
00:25:51.000 That was a lie.
00:25:52.000 I once watched two kids playing the Pokemon card game, and one kid picked up his Razor Scooter and just smashed the other kid in the arm.
00:26:00.000 Whoa!
00:26:00.000 Yeah.
00:26:02.000 Yeah, man.
00:26:03.000 People get into their games, yo.
00:26:04.000 So they were playing Pokemon card games a long time ago, when I was a teenager, and the one kid got mad.
00:26:10.000 He's like, you can't do that!
00:26:11.000 And the other kid's like, yes, I can.
00:26:12.000 And the other kid's like, no, you can't!
00:26:14.000 They started yelling, and then the kid just picked up his Razor Scooter and was like, ah!
00:26:16.000 And whacked him with it.
00:26:17.000 See, a lot of these things, when I see people smashing their controllers or flipping the table, it says a lot more about the person than the game they're playing.
00:26:26.000 Oh, of course.
00:26:28.000 Any game is susceptible to getting the controller thrown.
00:26:33.000 It's all about the person holding it.
00:26:35.000 Oh, yeah.
00:26:35.000 Yeah.
00:26:36.000 Matthew says, MLB is considering opening season in Arizona.
00:26:40.000 Cool.
00:26:41.000 And I heard MMA bought a private island.
00:26:43.000 Yeah.
00:26:44.000 Oh, they did buy it?
00:26:44.000 Oh, I don't know.
00:26:45.000 Did they?
00:26:46.000 I knew they were looking for a private island to host a fight every weekend.
00:26:50.000 Yeah.
00:26:51.000 Should be interesting.
00:26:53.000 Jack H., thanks for becoming a member.
00:26:54.000 Thank you.
00:26:54.000 Grizzly Jack says, if I make a Minecraft server that teaches Kids Economy 101, would you advertise the server?
00:27:01.000 I don't know anything about Minecraft, so I would not know how to properly... Same.
00:27:05.000 Yeah.
00:27:06.000 UU says, my local comic card store has an open drive-thru.
00:27:09.000 Oh, that's really cool.
00:27:10.000 Oh, cool.
00:27:10.000 Interesting.
00:27:11.000 Yeah.
00:27:11.000 That's neat.
00:27:12.000 Midland says, the closest feeling to the stay-at-home order for me is when I would stay on campus during fall-spring break, no one around, and peace and quiet.
00:27:20.000 Mark Taylor says, Tim, I don't like videos because liked videos go into a playlist that I save for my favorite videos on YouTube.
00:27:26.000 Well then, there you go.
00:27:27.000 Don't like it.
00:27:28.000 Push it in anyway.
00:27:29.000 Alex says, Joe Biden's new campaign slogan, vote for Joe and put the Dem back in dementia.
00:27:34.000 Spicy.
00:27:35.000 Zing.
00:27:37.000 The Price is Right Review says, being respectfully honest, women like Melissa Milano, uh, Alyssa Milano, is that what you mean?
00:27:43.000 Amber Heard and Blasey Ford are why MGTOW exists.
00:27:46.000 The saddest thing is thousands of women being influenced by these women, thus men do not trust most women as a result.
00:27:52.000 And that's always a mistake, to blanket over every person because you saw one bad person, or even a handful of bad people.
00:27:57.000 Yeah, so true.
00:27:59.000 I get it though, I mean, you gotta solve, we gotta break that cycle.
00:28:02.000 Diego says, Trump 2016, if you vote for me, I'll make America great again.
00:28:06.000 Trump 2020, if you vote for me, I'll pardon Joe Exotic.
00:28:09.000 Yeah, he did joke about it.
00:28:10.000 It's not true.
00:28:12.000 You know, people, of course, are trying to pretend like he's actually going to pardon the guy.
00:28:14.000 Yeah.
00:28:15.000 Nah.
00:28:16.000 Featherfall says, if you had absolute power to change or add one law, what would it be?
00:28:20.000 Mine would be to make lobbying punishable by life in prison.
00:28:23.000 If you could make one law.
00:28:24.000 I like that a lot.
00:28:26.000 Not punishable by prison, just make it illegal.
00:28:28.000 Term limits.
00:28:30.000 The lobbying thing would be a big difference.
00:28:33.000 If they weren't getting paid crazy amounts of money to influence their decision, then the term limit thing, I feel, wouldn't be as big of a deal.
00:28:43.000 I wouldn't change anything.
00:28:45.000 You wouldn't change a thing?
00:28:45.000 I would change nothing.
00:28:47.000 I think lobbying doesn't make sense.
00:28:49.000 You would enact the law and then realize where the pitfall was after the fact and be like, shouldn't have done that.
00:28:54.000 Well, I'm also not a politician, so I don't know the intricacies of what would happen.
00:29:00.000 I'm not gonna mess with the machine if I don't know what it's gonna do and where it's gonna end up.
00:29:03.000 I thought you were gonna get rid of hipster music for us.
00:29:06.000 What?
00:29:06.000 That was the promise.
00:29:07.000 Yeah, the Lumineers.
00:29:08.000 That music that goes, hey, hey.
00:29:10.000 No one would ever be allowed to say hey in music.
00:29:13.000 No more songs where they go, hey!
00:29:15.000 Yes.
00:29:15.000 You know?
00:29:17.000 Is it just the Lumineers?
00:29:18.000 Yeah, well, no.
00:29:19.000 No, no.
00:29:20.000 In all honesty, though, if I had the power to enforce any one law, it would be the permanent and complete banning of anise, cilantro, fennel, and caraway seeds, punishable by death, of course.
00:29:31.000 Yes.
00:29:32.000 On the spot.
00:29:33.000 Ooh, yeah.
00:29:33.000 No questions.
00:29:35.000 You're fine with it?
00:29:35.000 Just lace them with anthrax?
00:29:37.000 Oh, we would, like, we would do tons of stuff.
00:29:39.000 Oh yeah, man.
00:29:39.000 So, you know, that the U.S.
00:29:41.000 government, I think this is an urban legend, I'm not sure if it's true, they, like, spiked alcohol during Prohibition.
00:29:46.000 Really?
00:29:47.000 Yeah, because they were like, we've put, you know, we've spiked this, I think they spiked it with, like, menthol or something, like wood alcohol.
00:29:53.000 Okay.
00:29:54.000 And people were drinking it anyway and dying.
00:29:56.000 Yeah, it could be an urban legend, I don't know if it's true.
00:29:59.000 Is it true?
00:29:59.000 Well, Slate says it happened, a little told story of how the U.S.
00:30:02.000 government poisoned alcohol during Prohibition.
00:30:04.000 Well, there you go.
00:30:05.000 What law would you put in?
00:30:06.000 Me?
00:30:07.000 Um, I do like the term limits thing and I like the lobbying thing.
00:30:10.000 I think that they're really tied together, so.
00:30:12.000 Yep, makes sense.
00:30:13.000 Any law though?
00:30:14.000 Just like, you do any law?
00:30:16.000 That's what I would do.
00:30:17.000 I would stop lobbying.
00:30:18.000 That's the number one thing I feel is a problem with our government at the moment.
00:30:21.000 You know what most people would probably say?
00:30:23.000 What?
00:30:23.000 Like, I get a million dollars.
00:30:25.000 Is that a law?
00:30:26.000 Yeah.
00:30:27.000 There's a law that I'm gonna amend.
00:30:28.000 It is illegal to not give me a dollar if you see me.
00:30:31.000 Boom!
00:30:32.000 Not give me a dollar.
00:30:33.000 And now next time when I see you tomorrow, you better give me a dollar.
00:30:37.000 Somebody would do something stupid.
00:30:38.000 It would work.
00:30:38.000 I guess.
00:30:39.000 Yeah.
00:30:40.000 Alright, where are we at?
00:30:42.000 King Lenny says, what do you guys and Gal think of these corporations offering to help people by elevating some of the cost put on them?
00:30:49.000 Alleviating.
00:30:51.000 I don't know about what's going on in that regard.
00:30:53.000 Yeah, I don't know.
00:30:53.000 What's that in reference to?
00:30:54.000 There was a company that makes insulin that was cutting the cost of insulin for people with diabetes.
00:31:00.000 I thought that was really nice.
00:31:01.000 It's gonna deflate the economy.
00:31:02.000 It's probably still like four times the price of every other country.
00:31:06.000 Yeah.
00:31:07.000 What's the result of this?
00:31:08.000 If prices are dropping artificially, people are losing their jobs, but the super wealthy corporations still have tons of money, won't this just consolidate power in the hands of major corporations and wealthy billionaires?
00:31:19.000 Yep.
00:31:20.000 I don't know.
00:31:20.000 Well, there you go!
00:31:21.000 I see it.
00:31:24.000 Blacktron says, Hi Tim, I saw an article on Breitbart about Wuhan COVID patients being burned alive.
00:31:29.000 Can you look into this and see if it's true?
00:31:31.000 This story comes from Radio Free Asia, where they said unconfirmed rumors from locals.
00:31:37.000 They say that they heard screams coming from the incinerators, from the crematoriums.
00:31:42.000 Yeah.
00:31:43.000 That's not confirmation of anything.
00:31:44.000 And the reason I don't believe it is because if the Chinese government was going to burn people alive, first of all, they're harvesting organs.
00:31:52.000 So...
00:31:53.000 It's a waste.
00:31:54.000 I'd imagine that they wouldn't immediately.
00:31:56.000 But maybe that's proof they kind of would.
00:31:58.000 But also, wouldn't you just knock them out to stop them from screaming?
00:32:02.000 And how would you hear them through the walls?
00:32:04.000 I guess I don't know.
00:32:05.000 There's too many variables.
00:32:06.000 I don't know.
00:32:06.000 Maybe they're in the incinerator where the vent goes to the roof and they're screaming and people can hear it kind of like a trumpet or something.
00:32:12.000 I don't know.
00:32:13.000 That's a good point.
00:32:13.000 Radio Free Asia reported it.
00:32:15.000 They said it's unconfirmed rumors.
00:32:17.000 So that's as far as you get with it.
00:32:18.000 Who knows?
00:32:20.000 Grisly.
00:32:20.000 Rick Sanchez, thanks for the super chat.
00:32:22.000 He says, repeal the NFA.
00:32:24.000 James Mayweather says, been gaming and watching your show during the quarantine.
00:32:27.000 I am temporarily out of work, was a bartender due to CV, but I was able to get unemployment.
00:32:32.000 Awesome, glad to hear.
00:32:34.000 InfoMinimal says, it isn't jail, it's sloth life like Orange Cassidy.
00:32:40.000 Well, I don't know what that is.
00:32:41.000 Neither do I. Michael Warris says, buy some more cat litter.
00:32:45.000 Okay, we will.
00:32:48.000 Hmm says, can mechanics have a shout out?
00:32:51.000 We are still keeping people safe on the road along with disinfecting vehicles all day.
00:32:54.000 I'm sure we'll get coronavirus.
00:32:56.000 Definite shout out to the mechanics.
00:32:58.000 Hey man, we'll rag on celebrities all day and then praise people who do real work.
00:33:01.000 Yeah.
00:33:02.000 Like mechanics, electricians, plumbers, even landscaping.
00:33:05.000 Sewage workers.
00:33:07.000 We have a guy who came by because we had to deal with some diseased trees.
00:33:11.000 Substantially more important than celebrities.
00:33:14.000 Yeah, definitely.
00:33:15.000 Trees that are diseased can fall over and kill people.
00:33:18.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:33:18.000 It's true.
00:33:20.000 That's an essential service.
00:33:21.000 You know it's not?
00:33:23.000 Ellen complaining in her mansion.
00:33:25.000 Ellen's show.
00:33:26.000 Definitely not this show.
00:33:27.000 No.
00:33:28.000 Not essential.
00:33:29.000 No.
00:33:29.000 That's why we're in our basement.
00:33:30.000 Let's not say it too loud.
00:33:35.000 We are very important.
00:33:36.000 Yes.
00:33:36.000 Without us, people would lose their minds.
00:33:39.000 It's true.
00:33:40.000 People are saying, you know, they like listening to us.
00:33:42.000 No, man.
00:33:42.000 It reminds me of how these journalists are so snooty.
00:33:45.000 Like, I told this story recently, I think, where I was at that conference, and somebody asked these, like, the journalism panel, name three things you can do that a citizen journalist can't.
00:33:56.000 And they were like, oh, well, I never.
00:34:01.000 That's not an answer.
00:34:02.000 That was their response.
00:34:04.000 That's not an answer.
00:34:05.000 But it was, I'm obviously exaggerating, but their response was like, well, we're professionals.
00:34:09.000 I mean, we have standards and you know that we are honest.
00:34:15.000 And people were like, uh-huh.
00:34:16.000 Uh-huh, I stopped listening.
00:34:18.000 Right.
00:34:19.000 That's why I would never play a game and try and pretend to be essential.
00:34:22.000 But you know there's gonna be a bunch of celebrities where they're like, celebrities are very important.
00:34:25.000 We give people hope.
00:34:26.000 You know, all these poor people, they get to look at us how wealthy and beautiful we are.
00:34:30.000 And that makes them feel better about themselves because they can live vicariously through me.
00:34:34.000 Yeah, there's some celebs that definitely feel that way.
00:34:37.000 And there have already been rudely awakened I don't know if they have been.
00:34:43.000 Some of them have, or at least the celebrities might not have, but the entire rest of the world who used to idolize them have been awakened.
00:34:50.000 They're like, oh yeah, that's not so special anymore.
00:34:53.000 Me on the other hand, I'm a dude in his basement complaining about his feelings on the internet, so I'm not gonna pretend to be important.
00:34:59.000 But hey, thanks for watching, everybody.
00:35:00.000 Apparently it's pointed off.
00:35:01.000 Appreciate you.
00:35:03.000 Socialism says, did you see the leader of the WHO say to Trump, unless you want more body bags, don't politicize the virus?
00:35:09.000 This was after Trump said we are not going to support them.
00:35:12.000 Yikes.
00:35:12.000 I did.
00:35:12.000 I didn't see that.
00:35:13.000 And you know what?
00:35:14.000 They pumped out fake info.
00:35:16.000 So at this point, what do you do?
00:35:17.000 Do you give them more money?
00:35:18.000 They did a bad job.
00:35:20.000 Yeah, no, you get a pay cut.
00:35:21.000 Yeah.
00:35:21.000 Sorry.
00:35:22.000 Well, we'll see how things play out.
00:35:23.000 I don't know.
00:35:24.000 I hope.
00:35:26.000 Space Dan, thanks for becoming a member.
00:35:27.000 Thank you.
00:35:28.000 Talbot says, plenty of time at home, for most, for homework.
00:35:31.000 Shame I make industrial protective and PPE gear.
00:35:33.000 Plenty of work for me.
00:35:34.000 I like homework.
00:35:35.000 Sad.
00:35:36.000 Well, at least you're doing something very important.
00:35:37.000 Thank you for doing it.
00:35:38.000 Judge Tater says, hey Adam, you might like the YouTube channel Jack's Blade.
00:35:42.000 He's a personal trainer and anime nerd who makes fitness videos based on anime characters.
00:35:46.000 Oh, that's really cool.
00:35:47.000 Yeah, that sounds cool.
00:35:48.000 Yeah, right on.
00:35:49.000 Merrick says, Tim and Adam are currently the most trusted news sources on the planet.
00:35:53.000 Hire more reporters.
00:35:54.000 Yes!
00:35:56.000 Nice!
00:35:57.000 Think about what that means.
00:35:58.000 Even if one person thinks that's true, like three people in a basement reading stories online and complaining about stuff is more trustworthy than CNN.
00:36:07.000 Yeah.
00:36:07.000 That says bad stuff about CNN or really good stuff about us.
00:36:10.000 Good stuff about us.
00:36:11.000 Let's go with that.
00:36:11.000 Yeah, let's go with the latter.
00:36:12.000 Let's go positive.
00:36:13.000 Stick with it.
00:36:13.000 Yes.
00:36:14.000 I like it.
00:36:14.000 CNN is trash anyway.
00:36:15.000 Thank you for that.
00:36:16.000 I appreciate you.
00:36:17.000 JWillie says, United Nations calling for 10% tax on global gross domestic product to combat the virus.
00:36:23.000 Oh, yeah.
00:36:24.000 Oh, sure.
00:36:25.000 Uh-huh.
00:36:25.000 That's gonna happen.
00:36:26.000 Jonathan says, I play Abzan reanimator combo with Carador as my commander.
00:36:31.000 What are your thoughts on the 2020 commander releases?
00:36:34.000 Well, first off, I have two comments on this.
00:36:37.000 Caridor Reanimator is the deck that I built against you.
00:36:41.000 I called it the anti-Tim deck.
00:36:44.000 And it was basically just to counteract every shenanigans he pulls when playing Magic.
00:36:50.000 I don't have that deck anymore, but I might actually bring it back.
00:36:52.000 And I have pre-ordered all of them, the new Commander decks, because they look amazing and fun.
00:36:59.000 And I'm going to make the Hydra nightmare.
00:37:03.000 For those who know what it is.
00:37:05.000 James says, Hey peeps, stay at home if you can and wear a mask, banana, etc.
00:37:11.000 If you need to go out, my mask protects you.
00:37:13.000 Your mask protects me.
00:37:14.000 Masks for all.
00:37:15.000 There you go.
00:37:15.000 Yes.
00:37:16.000 If you can find them.
00:37:17.000 Baltazar says, CO2 isn't a pollutant.
00:37:19.000 Plants eat CO2 and sacrifice 100 molecules of H2O to acquire it.
00:37:23.000 Historical records of CO2 were in the thousands, not hundreds.
00:37:26.000 We need more CO2, not less.
00:37:27.000 Source William Happer.
00:37:29.000 Not familiar with who that is, but thanks for the suggestion.
00:37:30.000 Very interesting though.
00:37:32.000 Ryan Walker says the left and their kinder, gentler politics have been frankly abhorrent regarding Boris Johnson's health.
00:37:38.000 On Twitter, there are large groups of korbanites wishing death upon him, disgusting animals.
00:37:43.000 It's always important to point out, though, that the fringe limetics on Twitter are a very tiny fraction of the real world.
00:37:48.000 That's a good point.
00:37:49.000 There was a labor mayor who lost her job.
00:37:51.000 She will not be re-elected because of what she said about Boris Johnson.
00:37:54.000 What'd she say?
00:37:55.000 She's like, good, I'm glad he got sick.
00:37:57.000 Jeez.
00:37:57.000 I think she went short of saying she hoped he died, but I was like, that is awful.
00:38:04.000 These people are crazy.
00:38:05.000 You wish that upon anyone.
00:38:06.000 I don't know.
00:38:06.000 I don't get it.
00:38:07.000 I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
00:38:08.000 Arrogant narcissists who think they're smarter and better than you.
00:38:11.000 They're not.
00:38:11.000 They're just really dumb people.
00:38:13.000 It's really frustrating how stupid many of these people are, and they think they're so smart.
00:38:19.000 Man, it's just so awful.
00:38:21.000 And they gotta shout to the world.
00:38:24.000 And actually, you know, it kind of goes in, they're not tough.
00:38:26.000 It's fake toughness.
00:38:27.000 We're going to go into that later.
00:38:28.000 It's kind of interesting, right?
00:38:29.000 Seeing the story about Trump owning a stake in this company that makes the hydroxychloroquine.
00:38:34.000 Yeah.
00:38:34.000 And all these people are, you look in the comments and they're just talking about how smart they are.
00:38:38.000 It's like, man, if only you could literally smack sense into somebody, you can't.
00:38:43.000 They're just stupid people and they think they're smart.
00:38:45.000 That's what's so scary.
00:38:46.000 Granted, there are people who exist on this in all spec, you know, every, every spec, you know, every side of the political, Isn't that Dunning-Kruger, where you think you're a lot smarter than you are?
00:38:54.000 Yeah.
00:38:55.000 It's like you're so dumb, you can't realize how dumb you are.
00:38:58.000 Scary.
00:39:02.000 Harold says Trump could go bankrupt because of decisions he's making in the best interest of the country.
00:39:07.000 He can't get bailouts.
00:39:08.000 Where's the credit for this?
00:39:10.000 Yeah, somebody pointed out something funny.
00:39:11.000 They were like, the amount of money Trump stands to make if the economy recovers is in the millions.
00:39:15.000 The amount he stands to make if he sells some of this generic drug through a company he owns a minority stake in is like four figures.
00:39:21.000 Like a thousand bucks.
00:39:23.000 Yeah.
00:39:23.000 So dumb.

00:39:40.000 The phone is contraband and not allowed, yet tons of people in prisons and jails have cell phones.
00:39:45.000 They smuggle them in all the time.
00:39:47.000 Yeah, that's true.
00:39:47.000 There was a story recently where a guy had a cell phone because they forgot to take it from him, and so he asked them to charge it, and then they charged him with smuggling contraband.
00:39:56.000 Yeah, and it was like a big controversy.
00:39:58.000 He's like, you didn't take it from me, what?
00:40:00.000 But yeah, this could literally be someone who smuggled in a phone and filmed.
00:40:03.000 I mean, phones are ubiquitous.
00:40:05.000 I mean, for all you know, they paid a guard to do it or something.
00:40:07.000 There's a bunch of different ways someone could sneak in a phone for them.
00:40:09.000 Haven't you ever seen Shawshank Redemption?
00:40:11.000 Come on.
00:40:13.000 So what you're saying is the guy chipped away a hole in the wall, climbed out through the sewage line, made it out, made it back in with a phone, and filmed it.
00:40:21.000 Yeah, probably.
00:40:22.000 Yep.
00:40:23.000 It's true though, I think we gotta be skeptical of these videos.

00:41:05.000 Abated says, this question is for Chad Jesus.
00:41:08.000 When you were still a model, did women constantly approach you for spiritual strength or ask you to relieve their sins?
00:41:16.000 It was one of them.
00:41:17.000 Wait, is this serious?
00:41:18.000 Is this a serious question or a joke?

00:41:50.000 Austin Laverty says, Might use this time to study for ham radio tech and general test.
00:41:56.000 You can use HF bands to talk around the world to real people instead of internet people if this hits again, and can do both tests at the same time.
00:42:03.000 Cool.
00:42:04.000 Eggman says, Speaking of celebrities, are you guys ready for that inevitable movie based on coronavirus, probably starring Tom Hanks playing the role of Tom Hanks?
00:42:11.000 It's already happening.
00:42:12.000 Is it really?
00:42:14.000 What did they make?
00:42:15.000 I think the makers of The Office are writing a new sitcom called Quarantine.
00:42:23.000 I don't know what it's called.
00:42:24.000 It's supposed to be a comedy though.
00:42:27.000 But I'm sure there's going to be a movie about this.
00:42:30.000 We'll be surprised.
00:42:30.000 Many movies.

00:42:45.000 He was never the anti-war candidate.
00:42:47.000 Yes, I think he voted in favor of the first AUMF as well, after 9-11.
00:42:53.000 Not the second one, though.
00:42:54.000 Student of History says, if they wanted to send a message and be relatable, these celebrities would be better off saying, stay home and stay safe and promptly streaming COD.

00:43:16.000 I don't think the U.S.
00:43:17.000 can pass a law controlling the freedom of the press or infringing upon in any capacity.
00:43:21.000 Exactly.
00:43:22.000 That's it.
00:43:22.000 Yeah.
00:43:23.000 I wish that were a requirement, though.
00:43:24.000 That seems like a good thing.
00:43:25.000 There's civil things to it.
00:43:27.000 Right.
00:43:28.000 So the Covington kids should have mandated that they issue an on-air apology.
00:43:31.000 Maybe they did.
00:43:32.000 I don't know.
00:43:32.000 Yeah, who knows?

00:43:42.000 I don't know.
00:43:42.000 I watched 20 minutes and I was like, what is this?
00:43:45.000 I was like, holding my eyeballs open.
00:43:47.000 I'm like, I must watch this.
00:43:49.000 Everyone seems to really want us to talk about it.
00:43:51.000 And then I'm like, man, this show is really bad.
00:43:53.000 And I like look around.
00:43:54.000 I'm like, right guys.
00:43:55.000 Right.
00:43:55.000 Right.
00:43:56.000 And I'm like in the room by myself.
00:43:57.000 And I'm like, Oh, we used to live off.
00:44:00.000 I used to live right by that guy.
00:44:02.000 No, no, no.
00:44:03.000 That was, um, that was his competitor.
00:44:05.000 The woman.
00:44:07.000 Where do I get that globe and saucer?
00:44:08.000 Yeah, Carol Baskin's place was right near our...
00:44:11.000 Remember the monkey jungle thing?
00:44:13.000 Yeah, we never went to it.
00:44:15.000 I don't know.
00:44:17.000 There's probably her neighbor.
00:44:19.000 Yeah, something like that.
00:44:21.000 Jeremiah says, where do I get that globe and saucer?
00:44:23.000 The saucer I got from Instagram.
00:44:25.000 I found it on eBay just recently.
00:44:28.000 I really want to spin it for the chat.
00:44:29.000 Everyone's like, spin UFO!
00:44:31.000 They're trying to will it.
00:44:32.000 And I'm like, I'm watching it and I'm like... It could fall very easily.
00:44:35.000 I know.
00:44:36.000 I know it can.
00:44:36.000 It's super... Why did it stop?
00:44:38.000 It's really delicate.
00:44:39.000 Why did it stop?
00:44:39.000 I don't know.
00:44:41.000 I'm gonna just like... Wait.
00:44:44.000 Careful.
00:44:47.000 There we go.
00:44:48.000 Soft spin.
00:44:49.000 Gently.
00:44:50.000 There we are!
00:44:51.000 Yay!
00:44:51.000 We fixed it.
00:44:52.000 Well, it usually spins and then goes the other direction.
00:44:55.000 Tim didn't just do that.
00:44:56.000 That wasn't Tim.
00:44:57.000 That was you guys.
00:44:58.000 Yes.
00:44:59.000 All of you just made that UFO spin.
00:45:02.000 Through the power of the internet.
00:45:03.000 Mm-hmm.
00:45:04.000 All right.
00:45:05.000 Jesus Perez says, I once saw this guy turn himself into a pickle.
00:45:08.000 I swear it was the funniest thing I've ever seen.
00:45:09.000 I saw that, too.
00:45:10.000 I, too, have seen that.
00:45:11.000 Corey Davis says, Tim, let's... No, I'm not.
00:45:13.000 I'm not reading that.
00:45:14.000 Nope, nope, nope.
00:45:15.000 Michael Conner says, gone to an argument with a friend as she was saying Trump has dementia just like Biden, if not worse, and that she will always vote blue no matter who.
00:45:24.000 So many of these.
00:45:25.000 Somebody made a website called Bernie or Else.
00:45:27.000 Yeah, Bernie or Else.
00:45:29.000 Really?
00:45:29.000 Yeah.
00:45:30.000 Not Bernie or Bust.
00:45:31.000 Or else!
00:45:32.000 Geez, what are they going to do?
00:45:33.000 That's a threat.
00:45:34.000 Yeah, it's a threat.
00:45:35.000 Yeah, it is.
00:45:36.000 But what are they going to do, though?
00:45:37.000 Go smash up windows and start fires.
00:45:39.000 Set Milwaukee on fire.
00:45:40.000 Get arrested.
00:45:41.000 Well, no one's going to Milwaukee now.
00:45:42.000 No, right.
00:45:43.000 Casper says, ABO Comics is publishing an anthology of art by queer prisoners about the pandemic behind bars.
00:45:48.000 All proceeds go to emergency support.
00:45:51.000 I mean, that's cool.
00:45:52.000 If somebody makes a product, people are into it.
00:45:54.000 You know, when I typically complain about like... My big problem with how they do woke movies and comics and games is that they usually...
00:46:03.000 Retcon existing stuff.
00:46:05.000 Right.
00:46:05.000 They'll take an existing IP and say, like, Iron Man, but now it's a young black woman.
00:46:10.000 Right.
00:46:10.000 It's like, why not just make a new character with a new power and everything?
00:46:13.000 Yeah.
00:46:13.000 And make her special.
00:46:14.000 Exactly.
00:46:14.000 Yeah, I don't get it.
00:46:15.000 Because Static Shock is like one of the coolest superheroes ever.
00:46:18.000 You know Static Shock?
00:46:19.000 No, I don't.
00:46:20.000 It started as, I think it was a Dark Horse comic.
00:46:22.000 I'm not sure.
00:46:22.000 I don't know.
00:46:23.000 But it's an original character.
00:46:24.000 And the show I remember watching when I was growing up It went through a bunch of social justice and, like, educational storylines.
00:46:32.000 Like, his friend ends up being gay.
00:46:34.000 He's, like, involved in, like, you know, local gang stuff.
00:46:38.000 Oh, you told me about this before.
00:46:39.000 Yeah, it was cool.
00:46:40.000 That's how social justice was done right.
00:46:42.000 Like creating a cool character who is inspiring and heroic with cool powers in the situations that would help you understand something.
00:46:49.000 Today it's just like bashing you over the head, making just bad content.
00:46:57.000 Not funny jokes.
00:46:57.000 Rewriting stuff that's already around.
00:46:59.000 Beating it to death.
00:47:01.000 Exactly.
00:47:02.000 Sick of it too.
00:47:03.000 It's like they can't make new things.
00:47:05.000 But I will gladly play Final Fantasy VII Remake tomorrow night.
00:47:08.000 Well, that's different.
00:47:10.000 That's like the same game, but better.
00:47:12.000 I'm so excited.
00:47:13.000 Anyway, please continue.
00:47:15.000 Aaron says, Hey guys, the UFO isn't spinning.
00:47:17.000 It's really distracting.
00:47:18.000 Now it's spinning.
00:47:18.000 Why did it stop spinning?
00:47:19.000 It's speeding up.
00:47:21.000 That was weird.
00:47:21.000 The power of the comments minds.
00:47:24.000 Yeah, that's what it is.
00:47:26.000 Graves says you hear about the Bernie donation refunds.
00:47:28.000 I didn't.
00:47:29.000 Is he going to give refunds?
00:47:31.000 I don't know.
00:47:31.000 Liberty Levin says, move to Asheville.
00:47:33.000 Also, her name was Breonna Taylor.
00:47:36.000 Not sure who that is.
00:47:37.000 Neither do I. And well, you know, the comment super chats will come in on a delay.
00:47:41.000 Right.
00:47:41.000 Like people will comment and then we go back to it half an hour later.
00:47:43.000 So.
00:47:45.000 Ntero says, I agree, it's so dumb.
00:47:51.000 It's like, if you want more daylight, wake up an hour earlier.
00:47:54.000 How stupid is that?
00:47:55.000 I'll just turn the clock so everyone, you know what?
00:47:57.000 Swampy says term limits removes power from the people and makes them feel less on the
00:48:01.000 hook if there's bad officials.
00:48:03.000 If we elect good people, we lose them.
00:48:05.000 Yeah, yeah.
00:48:06.000 That's why term limits... We have so many bad politicians who are like, term limits, without realizing that term limits doesn't guarantee you get a good politician.
00:48:14.000 Yeah, exactly.
00:48:15.000 It just guarantees you get a different one.
00:48:16.000 Maybe gerrymandering would be a thing that I would like to get rid of.
00:48:20.000 People don't understand gerrymandering either.
00:48:22.000 It's not like someone goes in and goes, It's arguments and debates between groups as to what makes up for constituency.
00:48:31.000 I'm not going to pretend to know enough about gerrymandering to defend it, but I can at least draw some skepticism on the activists who are acting like it's this grand evil when it exists for a reason.
00:48:43.000 We have redistricting for a reason, and then you actually have different groups deciding where the lines will be drawn.
00:48:50.000 And so, it only functions because both the Democrats and the Republicans are benefiting themselves.
00:48:55.000 Yeah, alright.
00:48:56.000 I don't know.
00:48:57.000 There's a lot to it.
00:48:57.000 I'll stay with Megan.
00:48:58.000 Lobbying.
00:48:59.000 Illegal.
00:49:00.000 Yep.
00:49:01.000 Let's see.
00:49:02.000 Furby says, since you don't understand that you walking up to and asking your own rep to look into something is lobbying, maybe you could brush up on the subject.
00:49:09.000 Oh, there you go.
00:49:12.000 I got nothing.
00:49:13.000 If you went to the local congressman's office and started explaining why he needed to do something, that would be lobbying.
00:49:19.000 Okay, but are you paying hundreds of thousands of dollars to that person?
00:49:23.000 You're not legally allowed to.
00:49:24.000 Nobody does.
00:49:25.000 Well, how do they pay?
00:49:26.000 What's the case then?
00:49:28.000 Because that's what I assumed is what it was.
00:49:32.000 There's no way to get rid of all the loopholes.
00:49:34.000 Right.
00:49:35.000 Lobbyists spend millions of dollars to sway them, but if they're not paying them directly, what exactly are they doing?
00:49:43.000 Backroom deals?
00:49:45.000 I'll give your fund $100 million, and it's like, sure, their fund isn't necessarily them, but they own it, and then they get a cut from that anyway.
00:49:52.000 Or it's a favor.
00:49:53.000 Right.
00:49:54.000 It's like, I don't know.
00:49:56.000 Yeah, it's not always as simple as everyone thinks it is.
00:49:58.000 It's a good point.
00:49:59.000 And again, I'm not a politician.
00:50:01.000 Julia says, Tim, how dare you come for the Lumineers?
00:50:04.000 You have lost my vote for Supreme Overlord.
00:50:05.000 That was me, not Tim.
00:50:06.000 No, no, no, no, no, no.
00:50:08.000 No.
00:50:09.000 I did not say there will be no more Lumineers.
00:50:11.000 Right.
00:50:12.000 They will not be allowed to say, hey.
00:50:14.000 Yeah, that's all.
00:50:15.000 All songs will have the hey's removed.
00:50:18.000 Surgically removed.
00:50:18.000 Oh, even older songs will have, so then we'll have like bootleg tapes underground.
00:50:23.000 It's just, oh, I got the original.
00:50:26.000 Oh, you want that original song here?
00:50:27.000 Oh, I got that.
00:50:28.000 I got that OG song.
00:50:30.000 How many Hayes are in it?
00:50:31.000 Don't worry about it, Tim.
00:50:32.000 Nothing.
00:50:33.000 Over here.
00:50:33.000 I got this.
00:50:34.000 I got this.
00:50:34.000 And then he walks up, and he puts a headphone jack into it, and he puts one ear up to it, and he goes, you cut this.
00:50:40.000 There's only three Hayes.
00:50:41.000 There should be six!
00:50:41.000 The original had six!
00:50:45.000 Dealing in Hayes.
00:50:47.000 Max Lang says, would you ever go on the Jesse Lee Peterson show?
00:50:50.000 I'm vaguely familiar with him, but for the most part, I'm going on no shows at all anymore because I work here, like, all day from 7am to 10pm.
00:50:58.000 Yeah, man.
00:50:59.000 Nano says, what about lobbying for orphan adoption?
00:51:01.000 That's right.
00:51:02.000 Would you ban lobbying for orphan adoption?
00:51:05.000 Yes!
00:51:07.000 I don't know.
00:51:09.000 Are people actually doing that?
00:51:11.000 Are they going and lobbying the government for orphan adoption?
00:51:15.000 Yeah, probably.
00:51:16.000 It's like, yeah, probably.
00:51:17.000 I want to take money out of it.
00:51:19.000 That would be the key.
00:51:21.000 It's funny.
00:51:21.000 I'm like, I'm not a politician.
00:51:23.000 Let me keep saying it.
00:51:24.000 I'm not a politician.
00:51:25.000 I don't know enough about this kind of stuff.
00:51:28.000 You asked me what law I would make and I would dig into that if I was a politician.
00:51:32.000 The issue is that everyone else is evil, right?
00:51:36.000 So when the NRA lobbies, you get all these activists, people like David Hogg, being like, we're coming for you, NRA!
00:51:42.000 And the NRA is like, we need the right to defend ourselves.
00:51:46.000 And so they see this angry kid who wants to shut down their civil liberties and civil rights.
00:51:50.000 It's everyone else who's evil, you know what I mean?
00:51:53.000 Granted, I think...
00:51:55.000 These activists who are trying to like go after the NRA are just doing it to virtue signal to make money and none of them have any idea what they're actually talking about.
00:52:01.000 Yeah.
00:52:01.000 Which is a serious problem in politics.
00:52:03.000 It's true.
00:52:04.000 Carl says, your thoughts on conspiracy theory.
00:52:08.000 The conspiracy theory that China created the virus and cure, released them on their own public knowing it would spread worldwide, but cover the fact that it was intentional, and that way it would tank the markets to buy up companies, I know.
00:52:20.000 China's had stuff like this happen before.
00:52:22.000 They're inept, they're incompetent, and you know.
00:52:24.000 And they don't want the world to know.
00:52:26.000 I think it's fair to point out governments are incompetent in many different ways.
00:52:30.000 So it's just, in all likelihood, we can speculate all day, but I don't like speculating without evidence.
00:52:36.000 If I look at the polls, and the polls are like, Donald Trump goes up non-stop, and the economy's doing well, I'll be like, I'm gonna speculate he's gonna win.
00:52:43.000 If we have no evidence whatsoever on what's going on with this virus, there's literally no reason for me to be like, 5G!
00:52:49.000 It was planned!
00:52:51.000 The 5G thing is the weirdest thing to me.
00:52:53.000 It is weird, yeah.
00:52:54.000 Because, like, the virus has hit, like, 180 countries or whatever, and there's, like, four or five countries that have implemented 5G technology.
00:53:01.000 Yeah, it makes no sense.
00:53:02.000 I don't know.
00:53:02.000 Now they're gonna start saying it's, like, it's the Starlink satellites from Elon Musk.
00:53:07.000 There's always some weird stuff happening.
00:53:08.000 There's always something.
00:53:09.000 Yeah, man.
00:53:09.000 Alright, but I think we're gonna have to start speeding things up because we are getting inundated with these superchats.
00:53:15.000 Apologies if we miss you.
00:53:16.000 But thank you.
00:53:17.000 Mark G. I appreciate you guys.
00:53:19.000 Mark G says, I was fine with Tim Pool after until he went back until he went after Big Anus.
00:53:25.000 Let us plebs enjoy our licorice flavoring in artisan fashion.
00:53:28.000 Never!
00:53:28.000 No!
00:53:29.000 We will hunt you down.
00:53:31.000 We will take the licorice from your cold dead hands.
00:53:34.000 Terrible.
00:53:35.000 There's gonna be like people shoveling licorice into like incinerators.
00:53:38.000 Yeah.
00:53:38.000 And just like a woman falls screaming.
00:53:42.000 Let's see, all right.
00:53:43.000 Warren, thanks for becoming a member.
00:53:44.000 Thank you.
00:53:45.000 S-Head says, you're definitely providing an essential service.
00:53:48.000 I don't know a single mainstream network covering the news without an obvious agenda at hand.
00:53:52.000 Also keeps me sane while I'm truck driving for Walmart.
00:53:54.000 Appreciate it.
00:53:55.000 Cool.
00:53:55.000 Logan, thanks for becoming a member.
00:53:56.000 Thank you.
00:53:57.000 And I think that is a good point, because my thing is always like, I really don't care if Trump gets reelected.
00:54:03.000 You know, what am I going to do?
00:54:05.000 Yeah.
00:54:05.000 Be an adult.
00:54:07.000 I don't know anybody.
00:54:08.000 You're not going to run through the streets screaming no at the top of your lungs?
00:54:11.000 Drop to my knees and go, wow!
00:54:13.000 I can't believe anybody saw that video.
00:54:15.000 That's insane.
00:54:17.000 Why would anyone... What's wrong with people to where they act like this is something that matters?
00:54:22.000 Yeah, there's something that I deal with my issues that are happening.
00:54:26.000 I go, how do I move forward?
00:54:28.000 I don't tend to wallow and I don't like that.
00:54:31.000 I like going, you know what?
00:54:33.000 This is my problem.
00:54:34.000 How do I work through it and get past it and forward into like a new space because obviously I don't like where I'm at right now
00:54:41.000 or like what happened and that's what people need to do they need to look
00:54:45.000 forward and go how do I if I truly don't like this person how do we make move
00:54:49.000 forward and like fix what they think is wrong
00:54:52.000 they don't want to do that they just wanna complain about what is
00:54:55.000 now but have you ever tried their method for screaming Screaming at the top of my lungs?
00:55:00.000 No.
00:55:00.000 Yeah, so let's say you're trying to get that back disaster revert.
00:55:03.000 I was thinking, it's like, alright, maybe if I'm skating... Well, no, no, no, no.
00:55:07.000 When you don't get the trick, have you tried, instead of trying to do the trick, just going on your knees and screaming as loud as you can?
00:55:12.000 Maybe that will actually help you get the trick, right?
00:55:15.000 I mean, no, I'm good.
00:55:18.000 Yeah.
00:55:18.000 I like my work better.
00:55:20.000 It works for me.
00:55:21.000 I think young people need to learn some kind of sport activity and music, some kind of strategy.
00:55:27.000 There should be various things you can do with kids.
00:55:29.000 Yeah.
00:55:29.000 But one of the most important things is physical activity because, you know, there's cheating in some sports.
00:55:36.000 There's ways to cheat.
00:55:36.000 Yeah.
00:55:37.000 But for the most part, if you're playing baseball and you don't hit the ball, you can't pretend you did.
00:55:41.000 Yeah, that's a good point.
00:55:42.000 You have to actually hit it.
00:55:43.000 You gotta hit it.
00:55:43.000 it. Yep. And so if the only way to improve is to actually figure it out but we got so many kids
00:55:48.000 who grew up never having to do that so they just drop to their knees and scream as loud as they
00:55:52.000 can. Yeah. But also like what do you think's gonna happen?
00:55:55.000 This worked when I was a child!
00:55:56.000 It did. I know that's what I'm saying. Do they think Donald Trump is gonna pop out of the sewer
00:56:01.000 and go and then like throw a rock at him or something?
00:56:04.000 You're never going to see the guy.
00:56:05.000 He's never going to impact you.
00:56:07.000 That's a funny image though.
00:56:08.000 It's funny because activists are posting on Reddit and stuff.
00:56:10.000 They're like, Joe Biden and Trump have both been, you know, credibly accused of assaulting women.
00:56:15.000 Who do I vote for?
00:56:16.000 And there's like an argument, like no one knows.
00:56:18.000 They're like, don't vote.
00:56:18.000 No vote for Biden.
00:56:19.000 Are you nuts Biden?
00:56:20.000 He's a, you know, assaulter and abuser.
00:56:22.000 Yeah, but we can't let Trump win.
00:56:23.000 It's like, what are you kidding?
00:56:25.000 They're just going up in flames.
00:56:27.000 I'm just looking forward to that first debate.
00:56:30.000 I'm going to make some popcorn.
00:56:33.000 Isaac says, Tim, did you see Betty Crowder destroying the pyramid of toilet paper?
00:56:38.000 Source, louder with Crowder.
00:56:39.000 No!
00:56:40.000 I didn't.
00:56:40.000 Betty's the puppy.
00:56:42.000 Oh, really?
00:56:42.000 Yeah.
00:56:43.000 Oh, no.
00:56:43.000 That's cute.
00:56:45.000 That is adorable.
00:56:46.000 I'll have to watch.
00:56:47.000 Let's see.
00:56:48.000 Rimser says, what are your thoughts on Greg Reese, Owen Schroyer, and the rest of the gang from Infowars?
00:56:53.000 They present many interesting theories.
00:56:55.000 Just wanted to get your opinion.
00:56:56.000 By the way, love your work.
00:56:57.000 I don't know a lot about him.
00:56:58.000 I haven't seen a whole lot of the stuff.
00:56:59.000 I've seen a little bit of Owen Schroyer, but I don't know enough to comment.
00:57:03.000 I know he is, and I know that he got sexually assaulted in D.C.
00:57:06.000 It was the Women's March, right?
00:57:07.000 Yeah, I remember.
00:57:08.000 Yeah, a woman grabbed his junk, and then she got arrested for it.
00:57:10.000 Yeah, she got in big trouble.
00:57:12.000 Didn't she get charged?
00:57:13.000 Convicted?
00:57:13.000 She did, yeah.
00:57:14.000 Yup.
00:57:15.000 They thought it was funny.
00:57:16.000 It happened to me.
00:57:17.000 Yup.
00:57:18.000 And then he called the cops.
00:57:20.000 They were like, no, who cares?
00:57:21.000 I can do what I want.
00:57:21.000 And the cops arrested her.
00:57:22.000 And it's like, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
00:57:26.000 Yeah.
00:57:26.000 Warm Susu.
00:57:27.000 Thanks for coming to member.
00:57:28.000 Thank you.
00:57:29.000 And then we get the big super chat jump, man.
00:57:31.000 We are getting absolutely inundated with all these super chats.
00:57:34.000 Yes.
00:57:35.000 What she said.
00:57:36.000 You're the best.
00:57:37.000 Psygnosis says, Hey Tim, I am from Denmark.
00:57:40.000 We shut down very early while our neighbors in Sweden just shut down now.
00:57:43.000 You should keep an eye on these two countries since they could be test cases for the different strategies.
00:57:47.000 Yes, Sweden in two weeks is going to be bad.
00:57:49.000 Yeah, I was watching a video yesterday about, I don't know if it's the Surgeon General or whoever, it's basically the person in charge, and he was like, they're trying to do herd immunity, and it was like, look, there's nothing showing that quarantining everyone works, and this is new, so we're gonna do herd immunity, and if they just shut down, that's new, I didn't know that they actually did shut everybody down.
00:58:14.000 UK tried it initially as well, and then immediately backtracked, like, it's not working, stop!
00:58:17.000 Maybe this is not a good idea.
00:58:18.000 Yep, yep.
00:58:20.000 Alright, let's see.
00:58:21.000 I do not- I am not familiar.
00:58:22.000 and Lydia of Whiterun. Have you seen Fate Zero Anime? The arguments of celebs
00:58:26.000 being aspirational is the same argument that Iskender uses against Arturia on
00:58:31.000 the meaning to be king. I do not, I am not familiar, but yeah I appreciate you know
00:58:37.000 the anime. Phil Yu says if one law could be changed it should be that all members
00:58:42.000 of the House and Senate are only paid the national median wage.
00:58:45.000 If they want a raise, they need to help everyone across the board.
00:58:47.000 I like that.
00:58:48.000 I've heard that before.
00:58:49.000 I do like that.
00:58:50.000 That's a good saying.
00:58:52.000 The problem is they'll just find ways to enrich themselves.
00:58:56.000 They will be like, yes, we will.
00:58:58.000 And then they're like, in two years I am out of here and I'm going to get a job as an inspector for this big company and make a million bucks.
00:59:04.000 Well then, good.
00:59:04.000 They shouldn't be in government then.
00:59:05.000 Yeah.
00:59:06.000 Yeah, but they're gonna- Right?
00:59:07.000 Wouldn't that be the thing?
00:59:07.000 That means while they're there, this big company's gonna be like, we want you to pass this law that makes it so we can, you know, eat babies.
00:59:14.000 And then they're gonna be like, you got it!
00:59:15.000 And then they're gonna get a job once they leave.
00:59:17.000 Yeah.
00:59:17.000 You know?
00:59:19.000 Sandwich says, the UFO ran out of juice.
00:59:21.000 Juice it up for us.
00:59:22.000 There you go.
00:59:22.000 Done and done.
00:59:24.000 Ebrox says why is the UFO not spinning it has been solved mm-hmm Daniel Sotelo says top three bands musical
00:59:31.000 influences muse
00:59:34.000 Muse is good, and I don't know what else I gotta go with Led Zeppelin.
00:59:39.000 That was my first concert ever.
00:59:41.000 It was in 1998.
00:59:42.000 It was their reunion tour.
00:59:44.000 It was awesome.
00:59:46.000 John Bonham's son played the drums.
00:59:48.000 Cool, wow.
00:59:48.000 So it was like basically the entire band.
00:59:50.000 It was awesome.
00:59:51.000 And let's see, Sublime.
00:59:53.000 Incubus was a huge influence of mine.
00:59:57.000 I like Muse.
00:59:57.000 I like Metric.
00:59:58.000 I like Muse a lot.
00:59:59.000 I just saw them in Madison Square Garden a couple months back.
01:00:02.000 Maybe a little more than that, but my goodness.
01:00:04.000 Yeah.
01:00:05.000 And Tool and A Perfect Circle, both are really up there as well.
01:00:08.000 Yeah, I don't know.
01:00:10.000 I listen to a lot of music, but I don't have any favorites, aside from Muse, probably.
01:00:14.000 Yeah.
01:00:14.000 All right, let's see.
01:00:16.000 Where are we at?
01:00:17.000 Amber says, Daylight Savings helps farmers and ranchers, the forgotten food producers.
01:00:21.000 The Civic Nationalist says, I live in a household who despises the President and the Prime Minister.
01:00:26.000 They don't want to hear about them.
01:00:27.000 The strong leader derangement syndrome is here.
01:00:29.000 What's your opinion on civic nationalism?
01:00:32.000 I'm not super familiar with all of the tenets of what civic nationalism is.
01:00:35.000 That's just like general nationalism, right?
01:00:36.000 Like American nationalism?
01:00:38.000 Yeah, I'm not sure.
01:00:38.000 That's, like, been the default of the country for the entirety of its existence.
01:00:41.000 I know, right?
01:00:42.000 Yeah, it seems horrible.
01:00:42.000 So I'm like, AMERICA!
01:00:43.000 Yeah.
01:00:43.000 Yeah, right?
01:00:44.000 Well, I don't know.
01:00:45.000 I love America.
01:00:45.000 Yeah.
01:00:46.000 Pros and cons?
01:00:47.000 I don't know what the differentiator is between that and the other forms, because there's, like, economic—like, Steve Bannon talks about economic nationalism.
01:00:53.000 Okay.
01:00:54.000 And then there's obviously racial nationalism, which is stupid.
01:00:57.000 At least from an American standpoint, I don't see like, well actually no, I just think it's generally dumb.
01:01:02.000 I've seen a lot of these countries being part Korean that are ridiculously supremacist.
01:01:07.000 And it's like, to their detriment.
01:01:09.000 But they hold onto these animosities from hundreds of years of history that don't pertain to today.
01:01:14.000 Young people don't care.
01:01:15.000 Humans need to learn to let go of their pride.
01:01:18.000 Well, yes.
01:01:21.000 But I always question when people are like, pride is a bad thing.
01:01:24.000 Because some pride is a good thing.
01:01:26.000 Yeah, it's a balance.
01:01:28.000 You can't go full ham on anything, you know?
01:01:32.000 You gotta find the balance.
01:01:35.000 All right.
01:01:35.000 Mark says, hi three amigos.
01:01:37.000 The Nuremberg trials resulted in a grand total of 10.
01:01:39.000 Yes, only 10 hangings.
01:01:41.000 I doubt anyone in Beijing or the WHO will face serious consequences for misleading the globe on COVID.
01:01:45.000 Sad.
01:01:45.000 I agree.
01:01:46.000 Cracklin says, doesn't Biden look like one of Jeff Dunham's puppets?
01:01:50.000 Seriously, Google it or look it up with your Biakugan.
01:01:53.000 Look it up with your Biakugan.
01:01:55.000 Very few people understood that reference, but I got it.
01:01:58.000 Pickle says, Adam, I sent you a tweet about the diversity shoot.
01:02:01.000 Simon is in New Jersey and a firearms trainer who has helped a lot of people.
01:02:05.000 I saw Simon liked the tweet.
01:02:06.000 You did send that to me, and I am going to hit him up.
01:02:09.000 Cool.
01:02:10.000 I appreciate that.
01:02:11.000 Dustin says, center-leaning right truck driver, dividing my time between work, being a dad to my beautiful six-year-old boy Devin, and finishing up RE3 Remake.
01:02:21.000 You give me with a healthy balance of different opinions.
01:02:23.000 Hey, appreciate it.
01:02:25.000 Student of History says it's hilarious how quickly the velvet glove was removed to reveal the iron fist after Bernie bailed out, no refunds.
01:02:31.000 So as soon as Bernie dropped out, his press secretary was like, oh, you know what, now I don't gotta say Democratic Socialists anymore.
01:02:38.000 The difference between Socialist and Democratic Socialists is that the reason, this is exactly what they say.
01:02:44.000 Democratic Socialists want you to vote for policies that will enact socialism.
01:02:49.000 And the difference is that regular Socialists want to take it by gunpoint.
01:02:53.000 Ah.
01:02:54.000 So as soon as Bernie's out, she's like, oh, I can finally drop the Democratic part of this.
01:02:58.000 It's like, ah.
01:02:58.000 Good to know.
01:02:59.000 I see.
01:03:00.000 That was fast.
01:03:02.000 Yikes.
01:03:04.000 All right.
01:03:04.000 Cesa says, I don't always agree with your opinions, but I follow you because I trust that you provide accurate information to the best of your ability.
01:03:09.000 Thank you.
01:03:09.000 P.S.
01:03:10.000 Adam and Lydia are also pretty hecking cool.
01:03:12.000 You know it.
01:03:12.000 Thank you.
01:03:13.000 Jay says, did you guys watch PewDiePie's Jubilee video on vegans?
01:03:17.000 It was pretty funny, and I bet Adam would get a kick out of it.
01:03:20.000 What YouTubers do you guys watch, if any?
01:03:22.000 None.
01:03:24.000 None.
01:03:24.000 I do not watch it.
01:03:25.000 Actually, that's not true.
01:03:26.000 There's a few game makers that I follow.
01:03:30.000 I am really big into gaming and I'm actually designing a few games myself and there are a few like Game Makers Workshop and a couple others.
01:03:39.000 I can't remember the name of what they're called right now, but it's been a while since I've watched them, but I do dig into that sometimes.
01:03:46.000 Couples Therapy says, Thank you for being level-headed and informative.
01:03:50.000 Your videos keep me informed and entertained while running my greenhouse selling veggie plants.
01:03:53.000 Cool.
01:03:54.000 Nice.
01:03:55.000 ISK says, On urban wildlife tangent, thoughts and possible prep for rats becoming more aggressive and desperate.
01:04:00.000 My landlord been making rounds looking for possible entry points and setting up traps.
01:04:06.000 Yeah, we were talking about it.
01:04:07.000 We're gonna have to negotiate.
01:04:09.000 Find the leader.
01:04:09.000 Is this the strategy?
01:04:12.000 Diplomacy first.
01:04:15.000 Oh, man, no.
01:04:15.000 We're gonna reap what we have sown.
01:04:16.000 Oh, dude.
01:04:17.000 It's not gonna be good.
01:04:19.000 Someone's asking if Soybra skates.
01:04:21.000 Oh yeah, absolutely.
01:04:22.000 Do I skate?
01:04:23.000 Totally.
01:04:24.000 You can see actually some of my videos.
01:04:26.000 Just type my name.
01:04:27.000 There's my name right there.
01:04:28.000 Type it in YouTube and Arbor Skateboards is probably the best.
01:04:32.000 I used to ride for Bustin Skateboards also, but that was earlier in my skate career, I guess.
01:04:38.000 I use that term lightly, but yeah, you can check out my stuff.
01:04:42.000 Let us discuss the Rentpocalypse.
01:04:45.000 Yeah, the rentpocalypse.
01:04:47.000 So we had talked for a bit about how people weren't going to pay rent.
01:04:51.000 People didn't have money to pay rent.
01:04:53.000 And when that happens, the next wave of economic destruction would be upon us.
01:04:57.000 Because while a lot of these lefties don't understand that there's a lot of work that goes into maintaining property, these companies have staff.
01:05:06.000 They have employees.
01:05:07.000 They have groundskeepers, electricians.
01:05:09.000 Yep.
01:05:10.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:05:10.000 Whatever.
01:05:11.000 Yep.
01:05:12.000 Not those people aren't going to get paid.
01:05:13.000 But the story from the Wall Street Journal is that nearly a third of U.S. apartment renters
01:05:16.000 didn't pay April rent.
01:05:18.000 Some tenants will be temporarily protected from eviction by a patchwork of federal and
01:05:22.000 local laws.
01:05:23.000 But my understanding is it only lasts for about three months.
01:05:25.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:05:26.000 And what do you think is going to happen when...
01:05:28.000 So there was this big story, BuzzFeed covered it, where a building sent out an email to
01:05:33.000 everybody saying, hey, like, here's what you can do if you need benefits.
01:05:37.000 Just so you know, rent is still due.
01:05:40.000 We won't evict you because of the law, but you can be evicted later.
01:05:44.000 And so the company forgot.
01:05:46.000 They accidentally CC'd everybody on it, I guess.
01:05:48.000 Oh, they weren't supposed to?
01:05:50.000 I mean, maybe they didn't care, but now everyone had access to everyone else's email, and so they organized a rent strike on the entire company.
01:05:59.000 And the reason that's messed up is like, well, if you do that, you slap your landlord in the face, what do you think is going to happen in three months?
01:06:08.000 Do you think they're going to be like, well, now that this is all over, keep paying your rent and we're all good?
01:06:11.000 Or do you think they're going to be like, Get out.
01:06:14.000 They're going to get out.
01:06:15.000 They're going to tell them to get out.
01:06:16.000 It's not surprising.
01:06:17.000 I'd be willing to bet if you had an email from your landlord and you emailed back saying, I lost my job at the end of the month.
01:06:24.000 I hope you understand there's something I can do.
01:06:26.000 They'd be like, we'll figure something out.
01:06:27.000 Yeah.
01:06:28.000 I mean, that's basically what the email said, right?
01:06:30.000 If you need help, here's the way to get some help, but you got to pay rent.
01:06:36.000 You still got to pay your rent and we can't evict you now, but we can evict you later.
01:06:39.000 And we will.
01:06:40.000 It's not really a surprise.
01:06:42.000 It's not surprising.
01:06:44.000 Check this out.
01:06:45.000 So the Wall Street Journal writes, Nearly a third of U.S.
01:06:47.000 apartment renters didn't pay any of their April rent during the first week of the month, according to new data to be released Wednesday by the National Multifamily Housing Council and a consortium of real estate data providers.
01:06:59.000 The numbers are the first hard look at how many Americans are struggling to make rent during the coronavirus pandemic.
01:07:04.000 The data comes in the first of weekly reports on unpaid rent from NMHC, a landlord trade group.
01:07:13.000 But I gotta stop real quick because why are we assuming it was all people unable to pay?
01:07:17.000 Right.
01:07:18.000 How many of them were like, ooh, now's my chance?
01:07:20.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:07:21.000 How do we know?
01:07:22.000 We saw that story from BuzzFeed where they were like, we refuse to pay.
01:07:26.000 I blame Cheesecake Factory.
01:07:28.000 Cheesecake Factory?
01:07:29.000 Yeah, because they blasted it out.
01:07:31.000 We are not going to pay come April 1st.
01:07:32.000 It's like, what?
01:07:34.000 Why are you even announcing that?
01:07:35.000 They said they couldn't pay.
01:07:36.000 Okay, sure.
01:07:37.000 And now what's AMC, my co-out of business?
01:07:40.000 Yeah.
01:07:41.000 What are you going to do with all that property and all these malls?
01:07:45.000 This is what I've been saying for a long time.
01:07:46.000 The housing market is going to use it.
01:07:52.000 They're going to become homes.
01:07:53.000 They have big, cute, like... Movie theaters?
01:07:55.000 No, no, well, and malls.
01:07:57.000 You said malls.
01:07:57.000 Yeah.
01:07:58.000 Movie theaters, maybe, but think about what a mall is.
01:08:00.000 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:08:01.000 It's got all these, like, stores with, like, nice and lit up sunroofs throughout the whole middle.
01:08:07.000 So it's, like, gardens in the middle, and then people are... it's gonna be apartments.
01:08:12.000 It doesn't make sense for everyone goes online to... Yeah, malls are collapsing.
01:08:15.000 ...to get everything.
01:08:16.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:08:17.000 Small-time businesses are just... they're getting shut down, especially now.
01:08:21.000 It's like...
01:08:22.000 Half of them are gonna go under because of this.
01:08:26.000 It's interesting because I've actually been to a dying mall.
01:08:28.000 This was during Ferguson.
01:08:30.000 Yeah.
01:08:30.000 There was like two towns over to the west of Ferguson was a mall that had I think like 90 empty storefronts.
01:08:36.000 Wow.
01:08:37.000 And it was partly because of the rioting in Ferguson.
01:08:40.000 Okay.
01:08:41.000 So when like one of the first rioting broke out, they locked the whole place down with like police because they were worried about looting and stuff.
01:08:47.000 And people naturally got freaked out and didn't want to show up.
01:08:50.000 What ends up happening then is you have a lot of these stores that operate at a loss, because these big companies... I don't know if there's any specific I can specifically name, but... You know, I'll give you a Starbucks example.
01:09:04.000 Starbucks will make a ton of money in one location of a city, and they'll be losing money in another location, but they want the marketing and the presence.
01:09:12.000 Right.
01:09:12.000 So the successful store subsidizes the weaker stores.
01:09:15.000 Okay.
01:09:16.000 As it happens in malls, you'll end up with, you know, lids or something.
01:09:20.000 And Starbucks, and GameStops.
01:09:22.000 And they know that this one mall isn't that lucrative, but they want the brand recognition of the people who come and go.
01:09:28.000 Yep.
01:09:29.000 So when one store leaves, then there's less incentive for people to go there even, and then for other businesses to even set up.
01:09:37.000 Because the benefit of the mall is that there's foot traffic.
01:09:41.000 Yeah.
01:09:41.000 So if high-profile stores start leaving for any reason, they don't pay their rent.
01:09:45.000 AMC, for instance.
01:09:46.000 If AMC goes out of business, these movie theaters, even Cheesecake Factory.
01:09:50.000 Yeah.
01:09:51.000 How many people have been like, oh, let's go to Cheesecake Factory.
01:09:54.000 Where is it?
01:09:54.000 At the mall.
01:09:55.000 Hey, great.
01:09:56.000 We'll go.
01:09:57.000 We'll put our names in, wait 15, 20 minutes, walk around the mall and buy stuff.
01:10:01.000 Yeah.
01:10:01.000 Now that Cheesecake Factory is gone, people are gonna be like, let's go somewhere else.
01:10:05.000 Now the mall is gonna, this is the cascade that destroys the mall.
01:10:08.000 And that's why it's not just about, you know, rent for people and where they live.
01:10:13.000 Cause this is a story specifically talking about apartment rentals.
01:10:16.000 Yeah, true.
01:10:16.000 But businesses.
01:10:18.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:10:19.000 All rent.
01:10:20.000 Yeah.
01:10:20.000 It's impacting across the board, for sure.
01:10:22.000 But then you have these activists, which the Wall Street Journal actually shows.
01:10:26.000 I wonder if they're trying to make this, you know, what is this?
01:10:28.000 They say, Protesters in Los Angeles last week called for rent forgiveness due to the surge in coronavirus-related job losses.
01:10:36.000 Why not cell phone forgiveness?
01:10:37.000 Yeah, rent forgiveness so they don't have to actually pay for it.
01:10:41.000 Like, oh, we get this month free?
01:10:43.000 Is that what they're asking for?
01:10:44.000 Yeah.
01:10:45.000 What about cable TV forgiveness?
01:10:49.000 What's the difference between... I get it, you need a place to live, you can't be homeless.
01:10:52.000 Yeah, food and shelter.
01:10:53.000 But you're paying for some kind of service or product or something.
01:10:57.000 You're paying to use this space.
01:10:59.000 Yeah.
01:11:00.000 Why should we forgive this and nothing else?
01:11:02.000 This is one of the biggest problems with a lot of these lefty activists, especially minimum wage increases.
01:11:08.000 It's like, why $15?
01:11:09.000 Why not $20?
01:11:09.000 Why not $25?
01:11:10.000 Why not $30?
01:11:11.000 Yeah.
01:11:12.000 And then you actually had, I think Rashida Tlaib said, OK, then we'll do $20.
01:11:16.000 And after they got, you know, they voted on $15, she then said $20 and then she kept, it just keeps going up.
01:11:20.000 It never ends.
01:11:21.000 Right.
01:11:22.000 Yeah.
01:11:22.000 So I'm curious as to what the economic impact is going to be of all this.
01:11:28.000 The Wall Street Journal says that only 69% of tenants paid any of their rent between April 1st and the 5th, compared with 81 in the first week of March and 82 in April 2019.
01:11:38.000 The count includes renters who only made partial payments.
01:11:43.000 Many renters who haven't yet paid may still pay later this month.
01:11:46.000 Wow, that's actually really interesting.
01:11:48.000 That's not that much of a difference.
01:11:49.000 Right.
01:11:50.000 If only 82% paid their rent in April last year, there was no pandemic last year.
01:11:56.000 So that's not that big of a drop.
01:11:58.000 It's a 13% difference.
01:11:59.000 It's not like, you know, going in, it's like, oh, 100% of people pay the rent, you know, eventually, maybe not like right on time, but they pay the rent.
01:12:08.000 And that's clearly not true.
01:12:09.000 Only 82% paid last year.
01:12:11.000 Wow, that's an interesting number.
01:12:13.000 The Wall Street Journal reports the federal government has agreed to let apartment building owners with government-backed mortgages defer their mortgage payments, and the Federal Reserve also said it would buy up bonds tied to certain multifamily loans.
01:12:24.000 Those measures, however, only cover part of the total rental market and don't address loans held by banks without a governmental guarantee.
01:12:30.000 Less than one-third of U.S.
01:12:32.000 rental units are federally financed and covered by protections in last month's stimulus package, according to an estimate from the Urban Institute, a Washington-based think tank.
01:12:39.000 That's not a lot.
01:12:40.000 No, you know what I think it really is, man?
01:12:42.000 I think there's a decent amount of people who are like, now's my chance.
01:12:45.000 I'm not gonna pay rent.
01:12:46.000 Yep.
01:12:46.000 And they're justifying it.
01:12:48.000 And, look, you have protests in Los Angeles.
01:12:50.000 Rent forgiveness.
01:12:51.000 These people have no idea what they're talking about.
01:12:53.000 They're basically just demanding something for free.
01:12:55.000 Feels like it, yeah.
01:12:56.000 I get it.
01:12:56.000 You know, we don't want people to be homeless.
01:12:58.000 But, you're able-bodied.
01:13:01.000 And, like, these people aren't, look, these protesters look young.
01:13:04.000 Like, you can get a job, man.
01:13:06.000 Yeah.
01:13:06.000 So one of the biggest problems with the Participation Trophy era is that none of these people want to work at McDonald's.
01:13:12.000 I worked at a fast food restaurant.
01:13:13.000 It was my first job.
01:13:15.000 I didn't care.
01:13:15.000 It was a job.
01:13:16.000 Mine was Blockbuster.
01:13:18.000 Blockbuster Video!
01:13:19.000 I worked at Blockbuster.
01:13:20.000 And so what's the big deal?
01:13:22.000 How much did they pay?
01:13:22.000 Did they pay minimum wage?
01:13:23.000 I don't even remember.
01:13:25.000 It was years ago.
01:13:28.000 I'm sure they didn't pay you 18 or something.
01:13:29.000 I'm sure they paid you the bare minimum.
01:13:31.000 Yeah, definitely.
01:13:32.000 There are so many young people, or younger people today, that they're like, I'm not gonna work at McDonald's.
01:13:37.000 Okay, then you'll be broke.
01:13:39.000 But then what they do is they demand free rent, or free product, or government pay for things.
01:13:44.000 You know, it's kind of strange to me, because I was watching the history of the fast food burger in America, and there was a period in this country where it wasn't demeaning to work low-skilled jobs.
01:13:59.000 It was like people were like, I got a job.
01:14:01.000 What do you do?
01:14:01.000 I'm part of a, you know, food prep line.
01:14:03.000 It's like, oh, cool.
01:14:04.000 Yeah.
01:14:04.000 And you just flip burgers.
01:14:06.000 And then something happened where we started getting snootier and snootier.
01:14:08.000 Yeah, that's a good point.
01:14:09.000 I remember growing up and, you know, people would say to me, like, you don't want to end up flipping burgers, do you?
01:14:14.000 And I'm like, it's like, will I be happy?
01:14:16.000 Right.
01:14:16.000 It's like, yeah.
01:14:17.000 Oh, well, then what's the big deal?
01:14:19.000 Yup.
01:14:19.000 That's what my dad used to say.
01:14:20.000 He's like, what do you want to be when you grow up?
01:14:21.000 And then I'd be like, I don't know.
01:14:22.000 He's like, wrong answer.
01:14:23.000 Happy.
01:14:23.000 Yup.
01:14:24.000 That's all that matters.
01:14:24.000 I like that.
01:14:25.000 Yup.
01:14:25.000 I remember I was, uh, I was riding with my dad when I was a little kid and I saw a homeless guy riding a bike.
01:14:30.000 Okay.
01:14:30.000 Presumably homeless, like carrying herself around.
01:14:33.000 And I said, I was like a little kid.
01:14:35.000 I said, that's sad.
01:14:36.000 And he's like, what's sad?
01:14:37.000 And I was like, Oh, the homeless guy.
01:14:39.000 And he goes, why is that sad?
01:14:40.000 He could be the happiest guy in the world for all you know.
01:14:43.000 And I was like, and the guy didn't look sad.
01:14:45.000 That's a good perspective right there.
01:14:46.000 Yeah, so, you know, the funny thing is about these people who feel like they're above everything, like they deserve free rent because, you know, housing is a human right or whatever.
01:14:55.000 It's like, why should the immigrants who come to this country, you know, they work fast food, why should they have to do that and not get free rent, but you think you're deserving of the free rent?
01:15:06.000 I mean, you encourage them to come here and stay there, and then what?
01:15:09.000 They have to wash your dishes and then you get to live for free?
01:15:12.000 How does that make sense?
01:15:13.000 It doesn't.
01:15:13.000 No, it doesn't.
01:15:14.000 No.
01:15:15.000 The other thing too is like, what if you were really good at flipping burgers?
01:15:18.000 Yeah, right?
01:15:19.000 Yeah.
01:15:20.000 So I'll tell you my, we will wrap up on this one final thought.
01:15:24.000 Some business advice for everybody.
01:15:26.000 I may have said this on the show.
01:15:27.000 I don't know if I did, but let me ask you guys a question.
01:15:31.000 Did I ever ask?
01:15:32.000 Well, I'll just ask you anyway.
01:15:34.000 Adam, if you get a call, Right now.
01:15:38.000 From McDonald's.
01:15:39.000 And they said, Adam Kregler?
01:15:41.000 And you were like, yeah, that's me.
01:15:42.000 And they'd be like, we want you to work the cashier at our downtown Philly location starting tomorrow at 10am.
01:15:48.000 What do you say?
01:15:49.000 How much?
01:15:50.000 Boom.
01:15:51.000 How much are you paying me?
01:15:51.000 Exactly.
01:15:53.000 Right answer.
01:15:54.000 Right?
01:15:54.000 Because I love my job right now.
01:15:57.000 Right?
01:15:57.000 I get to talk to these awesome people and you too.
01:16:00.000 This is great.
01:16:00.000 But you know what most people say?
01:16:02.000 What?
01:16:02.000 No.
01:16:03.000 No.
01:16:04.000 I can't be seeing it.
01:16:05.000 McDonald's?
01:16:06.000 So people often ask me, like, how do you be successful and all that?
01:16:09.000 And I ask them this question.
01:16:11.000 If McDonald's called you right now and said we want you to work the cashier, What would you say?
01:16:15.000 They're like, no.
01:16:16.000 I'm like, why would you say no?
01:16:18.000 Because I don't want to do that.
01:16:19.000 I'm like, it's the wrong answer.
01:16:20.000 The right answer is how much?
01:16:22.000 Like, what if they paid you $20,000?
01:16:23.000 A day.
01:16:25.000 A day.
01:16:26.000 You'd be like, all right, maybe I could work that register.
01:16:28.000 Right.
01:16:29.000 And so this is how people, you know, end up being bad at business.
01:16:33.000 True.
01:16:33.000 It's like, you don't even know what they're going to offer you.
01:16:36.000 You don't even know how long it was going to be for.
01:16:38.000 And they're like, well, I just assumed, boom, there it is.
01:16:40.000 You assumed.
01:16:41.000 You gotta know.
01:16:42.000 You gotta ask questions.
01:16:43.000 You gotta do the research.
01:16:44.000 So here's what I tell people, you know, when I used to get, when I get hit for jobs, they're like, would you be willing to do this?
01:16:49.000 I say, um, I don't know.
01:16:52.000 Give me a thousand dollars.
01:16:54.000 And when they're like, whoa, a thousand dollars, that's too much money.
01:16:56.000 I'll be like, okay.
01:16:58.000 I didn't want to do it anyway.
01:17:00.000 You know?
01:17:00.000 So it's like, whatever.
01:17:01.000 But at least now I know.
01:17:02.000 Yeah, or they might be like, OK, $1,000.
01:17:04.000 And you're like, wow, really?
01:17:05.000 $1,000?
01:17:05.000 Maybe I should answer her a little more.
01:17:08.000 Right, exactly.
01:17:08.000 I had a friend who got a job offer that paid too little.
01:17:13.000 And they were like, I'm going to say no.
01:17:14.000 I don't think I'm going to take it.
01:17:16.000 And I was like, why say no?
01:17:17.000 I was like, would you do the job for $90,000 a year?
01:17:20.000 And they were like, nah.
01:17:21.000 And I was like, how about $120,000?
01:17:22.000 And they went, fuck.
01:17:23.000 Well, 120.
01:17:24.000 Yeah.
01:17:24.000 I'm like, there you go.
01:17:26.000 Send the email.
01:17:26.000 Yep.
01:17:27.000 Say that's what you want.
01:17:28.000 And then they're like, but they're not going to offer it to me.
01:17:30.000 And I'm like, congratulations.
01:17:31.000 Then you don't get a job you didn't want in the first place.
01:17:33.000 Boom.
01:17:34.000 And sure enough, they sent the email and the company emailed back.
01:17:36.000 That's too much.
01:17:36.000 We appreciate it.
01:17:37.000 Have a nice day.
01:17:38.000 Yep.
01:17:38.000 There you go.
01:17:39.000 Problem solved.
01:17:39.000 You were going to say no.
01:17:40.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:17:41.000 Why even bother?
01:17:42.000 But imagine if they said yes.
01:17:44.000 Right.
01:17:44.000 Anyway, to wrap this back up, I think we have a problem with weird urban elitism.
01:17:52.000 And I wonder if, like, these people saying rent forgiveness, can we, like, put them on a farm?
01:17:58.000 Like, I mean, like, to, like, going on a retreat.
01:18:01.000 Not, like, what was going to farm?
01:18:02.000 That was a reference to something, wasn't it?
01:18:03.000 I don't know.
01:18:04.000 Disciplinary camp.
01:18:05.000 Yeah, it was a reference to something specific about sending people to a farm.
01:18:08.000 No, I mean, like, quite literally, like, showing them how to grow food and how to do basic stuff.
01:18:12.000 Yeah, yeah.
01:18:13.000 Not by force.
01:18:14.000 That wasn't my point.
01:18:14.000 I was just thinking, like, man, the farmers are gonna be like, get these people out of here.
01:18:18.000 Dude, for real.
01:18:19.000 You know what I mean?
01:18:20.000 You know what's funny, though?
01:18:21.000 These people... Come on.
01:18:22.000 They don't know how to work.
01:18:23.000 You gotta work on a farm.
01:18:25.000 Oh, totally!
01:18:25.000 It's serious work.
01:18:26.000 But think about these activists, how they're like, all about immigrants and illegal immigrants.
01:18:30.000 Yeah.
01:18:30.000 It's like, you wanna be really honest.
01:18:33.000 Illegal immigrants work so much harder than these people.
01:18:35.000 They really do.
01:18:36.000 It was funny, like, I can't remember who tweeted this, they were like, we will gladly exchange the socialists for the undocumented workers who work really hard.
01:18:45.000 Yeah.
01:18:45.000 Like, we're good, so hey, it's your call.
01:18:48.000 Yeah, because all those people know what it's like to have nothing.
01:18:51.000 Right.
01:18:52.000 They had no comfortable bubble ever.
01:18:55.000 They see Americans in their comfortable bubble and they go, I will do anything to have that.
01:18:59.000 And they do.
01:19:01.000 And then you have some overweight people demanding they get free rent.
01:19:04.000 It's like, I know people who would scrape scum off of the floor with a toothbrush For a minimum wage in this country because it's so much like minimum wage in this country is a lot of money relative to a lot of other places.
01:19:17.000 Very true.
01:19:17.000 And there are people who are like, wow, I would get to do that and make all this money.
01:19:20.000 It's amazing.
01:19:20.000 Yeah.
01:19:21.000 Yeah.
01:19:21.000 Do you think it's because of higher education?
01:19:24.000 Because I'm wondering if the bar isn't being artificially set high.
01:19:27.000 I think it's partly.
01:19:28.000 I think it's these people are being told by their parents that they're going to be the president.
01:19:34.000 Well, the same parents who are telling them that they can do whatever they want are also telling them that they have to go to college.
01:19:39.000 So I'm wondering if there's overlap.
01:19:41.000 You can do anything, but go get in debt.
01:19:43.000 Yeah, get in debt first.
01:19:45.000 This'll work great.
01:19:45.000 That's smart.
01:19:47.000 I think it's really funny when I see people I know who have ridiculous debt, like hundreds of thousands in debt, and they're trying to advocate for why the government should forgive all of it.
01:19:56.000 And I'm like, isn't it strange that the people who think it's the right thing to do are the ones who are saddled with debt, and the people who don't have the debt think it's the wrong thing to do?
01:20:03.000 It's almost like you dug yourself into a hole, made mistakes, and then were like, Somebody else should pay for it.
01:20:11.000 Debt forgiveness now!
01:20:13.000 Holding up the sign.
01:20:14.000 Seriously.
01:20:15.000 Yep.
01:20:15.000 It's the same thing.
01:20:16.000 Yeah, it's exactly the same.
01:20:17.000 Yeah.
01:20:17.000 Rent forgiveness.
01:20:18.000 Yep.
01:20:19.000 You know, cities are going to collapse.
01:20:21.000 This can't continue.
01:20:22.000 The cost of rent goes up.
01:20:24.000 The value of labor goes down.
01:20:26.000 And then how do you maintain these buildings?
01:20:29.000 I mean, look at San Francisco.
01:20:30.000 The place is a nightmare.
01:20:31.000 It really is.
01:20:32.000 There's like poop everywhere.
01:20:33.000 They have a poop department.
01:20:34.000 They do.
01:20:35.000 That's incredible.
01:20:36.000 It's true.
01:20:37.000 It's a real thing.
01:20:37.000 Look at you laughing at the misfortune of this dystopian nightmare.
01:20:39.000 Think about what San Fran is, too.
01:20:40.000 It's a real thing. I know look at you laughing at the misfortune of this dystopian nightmare
01:20:44.000 Think about what San Fran is too. It's like I mean, this is this is in LA these these rent forgiveness people
01:20:51.000 You know what man?
01:20:54.000 If somebody builds something, and they use their labor, you know, and they work really hard for it, why do these people think they deserve it for free?
01:21:01.000 Just, you know what?
01:21:01.000 Maybe they don't think they deserve it, maybe they just, they found an easy out.
01:21:05.000 Yeah.
01:21:05.000 Put on a mask, put on gloves, threaten people, and you'll get it for free.
01:21:07.000 I can't pay rent, or I can, and I just, everyone else isn't doing it, so I'm gonna, I'm gonna just go full in, and make signs, and just, you know, be an activist against this, just because I don't want to pay rent.
01:21:18.000 Yeah.
01:21:18.000 You know, why not go all the way?
01:21:21.000 Why stop at like, I shouldn't have to pay rent?
01:21:25.000 How about the government should give me personally a million bucks?
01:21:30.000 Let's go all the way.
01:21:31.000 I should be king of the planet.
01:21:34.000 Everyone give me everything.
01:21:36.000 It's interesting because if you're asking for free stuff because you think you deserve it, and look, I think there's an argument to be made about fighting for certain rights, but arguing that you have a right to someone else's property which is supported and maintained by their labor and you shouldn't contribute to it is a really weird thing, but why stop there?
01:21:52.000 Yeah, that's true.
01:21:53.000 Why not?
01:21:54.000 How about... What's the difference?
01:21:55.000 How about we own the building?
01:21:58.000 Why rent?
01:21:59.000 Yeah.
01:21:59.000 Yeah.
01:22:00.000 Just hire.
01:22:01.000 Exactly.
01:22:01.000 Aim higher.
01:22:01.000 Aim for the moon, man.
01:22:02.000 Because if you miss, you'll hit the stars.
01:22:04.000 Or aim for the stars.
01:22:05.000 What is it saying?
01:22:06.000 Shoot for the moon.
01:22:06.000 Shoot for the moon.
01:22:07.000 Because if you miss, you'll land among the stars.
01:22:10.000 There you go.
01:22:11.000 Put that rent forgiveness sign down.
01:22:12.000 But that's like actually flinging yourself into the moon.
01:22:17.000 Yeah.
01:22:17.000 Sounds dangerous.
01:22:18.000 Why not just hold up a sign saying, give me ownership of the building?
01:22:21.000 Yeah.
01:22:21.000 Yeah.
01:22:22.000 Why stop there?
01:22:24.000 Make me mayor.
01:22:25.000 Supreme Chancellor of the city.
01:22:27.000 Why even stop there?
01:22:28.000 But in a more serious nature, why literally stop with only rent?
01:22:32.000 Why don't they demand free utilities?
01:22:34.000 Free utilities.
01:22:35.000 Free school.
01:22:36.000 Free access.
01:22:36.000 Free maintenance.
01:22:37.000 The people who built this should be forced to maintain the building for free.
01:22:40.000 I'm not gonna give them anything.
01:22:41.000 It's like, well, I'll keep paying Con Ed because I want my electricity to stay on because they'll shut it off, but I want rent free.
01:22:47.000 Yeah.
01:22:48.000 It's like, well, there's a lot of people that are just like, you know, my grandfather was one of those.
01:22:52.000 He had like three buildings.
01:22:54.000 He busted his butt off to try to, you know, fix everything that was wrong.
01:22:59.000 There's always things that were going wrong.
01:23:01.000 And if, uh, you know, his whole life depended on getting rent from these people.
01:23:06.000 And you've got to maintain that building for 30 years.
01:23:07.000 Yeah.
01:23:08.000 35 years, whatever, you know, however long, and maybe longer.
01:23:11.000 These people come in for a year.
01:23:12.000 Right.
01:23:13.000 And you don't really, it's really messed up in Chicago.
01:23:16.000 There's a problem where, it's probably not unique to Chicago, but when people get evicted, they take like Hershey's syrup and squeeze it all throughout the cracks of wherever they can.
01:23:24.000 You can't get it out.
01:23:25.000 Yeah.
01:23:26.000 It's like a deep cleanser.
01:23:27.000 You've got to pull up tile floors and everything.
01:23:29.000 So you have these people.
01:23:30.000 Sometimes it's not Hershey's chocolate.
01:23:33.000 That's true.
01:23:33.000 Sometimes it's excrement.
01:23:36.000 Man, and you see what the result is of this mentality of, I get it for free.
01:23:41.000 Like, have you ever been to Crown Heights in Brooklyn?
01:23:44.000 Yeah, there's a bunch of boarded up buildings just like... You know what's really crazy about New York?
01:23:48.000 Have you ever played a video game where there's some building you can go in?
01:23:51.000 You know what I'm talking about, like GTA for instance.
01:23:53.000 Most buildings are just closed, but a few of them you can go in.
01:23:57.000 Very little.
01:23:57.000 More like division would make more sense.
01:24:00.000 There's things that are open you can explore, but most are boarded up.
01:24:03.000 Like parts of New York.
01:24:04.000 Just like New York, yeah.
01:24:05.000 It's crazy.
01:24:06.000 When I lived in Crown Heights, it's like I walk down this busy street, and I see all of these buildings boarded up, and I'm like, it's almost like being in a video game where you're not supposed to go in the building because they didn't design it.
01:24:16.000 Yeah.
01:24:17.000 Why are all these buildings just destroyed?
01:24:19.000 And it's because there's no one there to pay to maintain it.
01:24:22.000 Exactly.
01:24:23.000 And that's what happens when you get these people who want to invert the flow of like value.
01:24:27.000 Yeah.
01:24:29.000 It's got to start from somewhere.
01:24:30.000 Well, there was already over the past, maybe like, I guess the past 10 years, people leaving cities, people going out into the smaller rural areas and getting huge houses for less
01:24:46.000 More their mortgage would be less than what they were paying rent wise and they're like look at my property like
01:24:51.000 I have Their gardening now, and it's like there's a lot of that
01:24:54.000 going around so cities are emptying out already with the internet and now this
01:24:59.000 I'm looking at West Virginia, man. Yeah, I mean the sky link
01:25:03.000 What's that?
01:25:03.000 What is Skylink?
01:25:04.000 Skylink?
01:25:05.000 What's it called?
01:25:06.000 Elon Musk?
01:25:08.000 Starlink.
01:25:09.000 Starlink.
01:25:10.000 Thank you.
01:25:11.000 Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
01:25:11.000 You know what, man?
01:25:12.000 It's going to be everywhere.
01:25:13.000 Internet's going to be everywhere.
01:25:15.000 That's amazing.
01:25:16.000 Not even that.
01:25:16.000 I mean, there are parts of West Virginia that have gigabit internet, like a lot of the places there.
01:25:22.000 And so now I'm thinking like, man, you could have this massive property.
01:25:25.000 Yeah.
01:25:26.000 You can run around, wherever you want, do whatever you want.
01:25:28.000 No one's gonna get in your way.
01:25:29.000 Listen, you know what's crazy to me about the cities?
01:25:31.000 You live in New York.
01:25:33.000 Tell me, when was the last time you talked to your neighbor?
01:25:38.000 I can't.
01:25:39.000 Nah, you didn't.
01:25:39.000 I'm trying to think.
01:25:40.000 You know, there was one time that I was living in the Upper East Side where I was friends with my upstairs neighbor.
01:25:48.000 But that was it.
01:25:48.000 I lived in New York for 16 years and I never knew my neighbors.
01:25:53.000 Never.
01:25:54.000 I lived in the building next to you and then moved a block away.
01:25:57.000 Yeah.
01:25:58.000 And we knew each other.
01:25:59.000 Right.
01:25:59.000 We knew nobody else.
01:26:01.000 But we knew each other before that though.
01:26:04.000 Right.
01:26:04.000 I was looking for an apartment and I'm like, oh hey, this building opened up and you recommended it.
01:26:07.000 Yeah.
01:26:08.000 I talked about this before, Luke Rutkowski has a video on his YouTube channel where, it's from like 2012, where he goes in the subway and he's like, look at all these millions of people and not one of them talks to each other.
01:26:17.000 Let's talk to them.
01:26:18.000 It's like a cool video.
01:26:20.000 That is cool.
01:26:21.000 Why bother living in the city crammed in this tiny box for a ridiculous amount of money and really high taxes to be around people you don't want to talk to?
01:26:29.000 Well, you're not thinking about what they do after work.
01:26:34.000 Sure, you see them in the subway, but they're either going to work or going to the place where they do congregate with people.
01:26:40.000 You know, when you go to a bar in the middle of nowhere, there's like five people.
01:26:44.000 They go there all the time.
01:26:46.000 They all know each other.
01:26:47.000 There's nothing new.
01:26:48.000 Yeah, I get it.
01:26:48.000 In New York, you go to a bar, every single day you can go to that same bar and you'll see no one of the same.
01:26:54.000 Well, probably.
01:26:54.000 Maybe just me, but I see these videos from quarantine, you know, people, and they're like, look, we built a pillow fort in our living room.
01:27:01.000 It's like, yes, on my property, we built a fort.
01:27:04.000 Like a real one.
01:27:06.000 With wood.
01:27:07.000 And then we climbed up in it.
01:27:08.000 Or we dug a trench.
01:27:11.000 You can do so much on a massive property.
01:27:13.000 You can farm, you can grow stuff, you can build stuff.
01:27:15.000 That's why I've been slowly moving away from cities.
01:27:19.000 What's the point?
01:27:21.000 I mean, I get it, work, right?
01:27:23.000 But now with the internet, especially with what we do, what's the incentive to be anywhere near one of these monstrosities with really high taxes, smog, garbage air, people you don't want to talk to?
01:27:32.000 I mean, you made mention the other day that the air is cleaner because of this, and I didn't really pay attention to it, but I was out today skating and I was just taking some deep breaths and I was just like, Wow, the air is really cleaner.
01:27:46.000 I can tell the difference.
01:27:48.000 And it was nice.
01:27:49.000 Yeah, we're really close to Philly.
01:27:51.000 But imagine way out in the middle of nowhere, West Virginia.
01:27:54.000 You know, I don't know.
01:27:55.000 I can't name of a big city in West Virginia, but it's not Philadelphia.
01:27:59.000 It's not New York.
01:28:00.000 You know, it's not Chicago.
01:28:02.000 It's like these big industrial places we've lived in.
01:28:05.000 I'm sure there's a lot of people who are listening who live in more rural areas.
01:28:10.000 And at this point, it probably makes more sense than ever.
01:28:13.000 You get a big property with a low mortgage, tons of open space, the dog can run around and do whatever it wants.
01:28:20.000 You know, you got rabbits doing what rabbits do.
01:28:23.000 It wasn't like a city, it's just concrete everywhere.
01:28:26.000 We have turkeys over here though.
01:28:28.000 We do, yeah.
01:28:28.000 They walk around, rafters.
01:28:29.000 We have bunnies, yeah.
01:28:31.000 Let's jump over to the super chats.
01:28:32.000 What should we do for the next one?
01:28:35.000 Should we talk about how to be a real man?
01:28:36.000 Let's let's let's jump over to the super chat. Yeah word and then what's what should we do for the next one?
01:28:42.000 Should we do how to be a real man? Should we talk about how to be a real man? Yeah, I think that's yeah
01:28:46.000 We have a bunch of other ones, but I think we'll get to being a real man as the next one
01:28:51.000 Let's try and figure out where the super chats are It's always the most fun part.
01:28:55.000 Oh, here we go.
01:28:56.000 That was not so difficult.
01:28:57.000 Nice.
01:28:58.000 Let's see.
01:28:59.000 Where are we now?
01:29:01.000 Where are we, Tim?
01:29:03.000 There's the Rats.
01:29:05.000 I think, uh, let's just... We're somewhere.
01:29:06.000 We'll just start here.
01:29:08.000 Right.
01:29:08.000 Spaghetti Joe Rogan's Powerful Meatball says, If the general consensus is that government on both sides is corrupt and inefficient, wouldn't it be logical to be a libertarian?
01:29:16.000 I see that as concise.
01:29:18.000 What are you guys' and ladies' thoughts?
01:29:22.000 I consider myself a libertarian.
01:29:24.000 I know you do.
01:29:25.000 But it's about big L libertarian in the United States, which is like more right libertarianism versus typical liberty minded.
01:29:33.000 So there's a bunch of funny things about American big L libertarians.
01:29:38.000 There's apparently some guy at the debate pulled his pants off on stage.
01:29:42.000 They had an argument about whether or not they should be allowed to sell hard drugs to kids.
01:29:46.000 Yeah, that's ridiculous.
01:29:49.000 Right.
01:29:50.000 So there needs to be some sort of structure in place for the people that are not logical.
01:29:56.000 But this is classical liberal and social liberal.
01:29:59.000 That's the center left and center right positions.
01:30:02.000 So I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people who listen are classical liberals, and that overlaps a bit with, like, center-right conservative.
01:30:10.000 And then center-left, which people try to claim Bernie is, he's not, social liberal, is essentially the same thing.
01:30:16.000 But the difference is social liberals tend to think the government can play a role in solving certain social issues either through, like, Okay.
01:30:25.000 welfare programs or through social justice type initiatives.
01:30:29.000 Okay.
01:30:30.000 So the issue there for me is that these things that used to make sense or that they make
01:30:35.000 sense have been completely co-opted by authoritarian leftists.
01:30:39.000 Like social justice, a very good thing.
01:30:42.000 Like I mentioned, yeah, static shock.
01:30:45.000 Right, right, right.
01:30:46.000 Trying to build bridges, connect people, help us understand one another is real social justice.
01:30:50.000 What they're doing with these movies is not.
01:30:53.000 It's totally just ruining it.
01:30:55.000 It's just swinging the pendulum back to the other, on the other side.
01:30:57.000 But it's not even, it's not, it's just, it's just con artistry.
01:31:01.000 It's authoritarianism.
01:31:02.000 Yeah, you're right.
01:31:02.000 Yeah.
01:31:02.000 So they're going to be, you know, they're going to be like, if you, if you're a thin, then you're an oppressor.
01:31:08.000 Like, what are you talking about?
01:31:10.000 It's not solving anything for anybody.
01:31:11.000 It's not social justice.
01:31:12.000 Right, yeah.
01:31:13.000 You know, so now social justice doesn't even mean anything anymore.
01:31:15.000 But that was what it was.
01:31:16.000 So basically, that's the reason why I always say I'm a liberal, I'm not a libertarian.
01:31:22.000 Like, I'm on the libertarian spectrum, leading to the left, but it's basically like, I do not think you should be allowed to sell drugs to children.
01:31:29.000 A liberaltarian?
01:31:30.000 Well, liberal is in the spectrum, in the libertarian spectrum, but it leans slightly more towards authority.
01:31:36.000 I know, I was just smashing it together.
01:31:38.000 You didn't see what I did there?
01:31:39.000 I did a thing.
01:31:40.000 What was it Sargon calls it?
01:31:42.000 Liberalist.
01:31:42.000 Liberalist, yeah.
01:31:44.000 So it's kind of like liberalitarian.
01:31:45.000 Oh, there we go.
01:31:46.000 Liberalist.
01:31:47.000 Classical liberal is the live and let live, and it does overlap a lot with what we used to think liberals were in like the 90s, but they're not there anymore.
01:31:57.000 So now like liberal or weird intersectional socialists, like it doesn't mean anything anymore.
01:32:04.000 Unless they're like voting for Biden, but those people have no principles anyway.
01:32:07.000 So I don't know.
01:32:08.000 I don't know what they're doing.
01:32:10.000 Where were we?
01:32:12.000 East Shore says, Tim, how large of a landslide are you predicting?
01:32:15.000 Also, I work for a nursing home as an EVS manager.
01:32:18.000 My staff and I are working hard for our residents, but it's a struggle since I lost six out of 11 staff last week due to COVID-19.
01:32:24.000 Man, sorry to hear.
01:32:25.000 Yeah, that sucks.
01:32:26.000 I hate predicting anything.
01:32:28.000 In 2018, I was like, man, the Republicans are gonna sweep, they're gonna have a super majority, and then the Democrats won the House.
01:32:34.000 And I was like, wow, talk about being wrong.
01:32:35.000 I was way off.
01:32:37.000 So I have no idea.
01:32:38.000 I joked earlier on Twitter that Trump already won the general election.
01:32:42.000 Yeah, that was funny.
01:32:42.000 Because, like, Biden?
01:32:43.000 Come on, man.
01:32:44.000 But hey, they laughed at Trump.
01:32:47.000 They were all laughing, going like, Trump will never win, can you believe it?
01:32:49.000 Hillary Clinton had a 99% chance, according to the New York Times.
01:32:53.000 Wow, really?
01:32:54.000 99%?
01:32:54.000 Yeah, some ridiculously high.
01:32:55.000 No, I think it was like 93% or like 89% or something.
01:32:57.000 Yeah.
01:32:59.000 And then they had this meter that went like back and forth, and it said Hillary Clinton's chances to win 99% or whatever, and it was like hitting the end.
01:33:07.000 And then throughout the night it slowly started moving over, and then I remember when it got to 50% and I was like sitting there like, what is happening?
01:33:14.000 I was at the Sputnik headquarters, the Russian-funded news outlet, with Cassandra Fairbanks, who at the time was a big Trump supporter.
01:33:23.000 And she was like, everyone in the office was like a Clinton supporter, and they were all very proud of themselves, laughing, like, oh, Trump's gonna lose.
01:33:31.000 And all of a sudden, I'm sitting there like, I don't care, man.
01:33:34.000 Like, you know, people need to grow up.
01:33:36.000 And then the meters started shifting for Trump.
01:33:37.000 Cassandra's like, laughing in tears, like, I can't believe this is happening.
01:33:42.000 And I was laughing as I was like, it's just the funniest thing ever.
01:33:45.000 And then when it flipped over and it was like, Trump is basically the favorite to win.
01:33:50.000 It was the funniest thing ever.
01:33:51.000 Yeah.
01:33:52.000 It was like comeuppance for these really elitists who thought they were smarter and better than everybody who deserved everything.
01:33:58.000 And then they just got, you know, kicked straight in the nuts.
01:34:01.000 And it was like, schadenfreude or however you say it.
01:34:04.000 So, I mean, people are laughing at Biden.
01:34:07.000 So you're saying you think there's still a chance?
01:34:09.000 I think people would be very, very unwise to underestimate Joe Biden.
01:34:14.000 Look, he gets on TV and he mumbles and he's like, and people are like, ah, what an idiot, he's so dumb.
01:34:22.000 And then when he wins, they're going to be like, I can't believe he won.
01:34:25.000 No one could believe it when Trump won for all these reasons.
01:34:28.000 That's true.
01:34:29.000 That's where I'm at.
01:34:29.000 I agree.
01:34:30.000 Biden could win.
01:34:31.000 He's polling above Trump.
01:34:33.000 I don't believe it.
01:34:34.000 I don't care what they say.
01:34:36.000 But I also don't really consider myself to have much skin in the game.
01:34:40.000 I mean, as much as like the weird woke...
01:34:42.000 That's where I'm at.
01:34:43.000 Well, you know what the weird woke lefties will say to you?
01:34:45.000 What?
01:34:46.000 They're gonna be like, that's cause you're a white male.
01:34:48.000 You don't understand that marginalized people.
01:34:49.000 It's like, blah, blah, blah, blah.
01:34:51.000 I get it, dude.
01:34:53.000 We're going to, we're going to keep moving on.
01:34:55.000 Nothing is going to change that dramatically.
01:34:57.000 Grow up, solve your own problems.
01:34:59.000 And if Trump wins or doesn't win reelection, I'm going to be like, we'll have to navigate these waters.
01:35:05.000 But I think the one thing that will absolutely cause Trump to lose, hubris.
01:35:11.000 All these Trump supporters laughing, thinking they won.
01:35:14.000 I don't think that's happening, because he's been rallying and going around.
01:35:20.000 And voter turnout is ridiculously up.
01:35:24.000 It's literally a 100% increase in some areas.
01:35:28.000 But Trump's the incumbent, so in the primary it's not super important to go out and vote.
01:35:32.000 Okay, that's good.
01:35:33.000 But he's doubling the numbers of Obama and Bush.
01:35:36.000 Yeah.
01:35:36.000 So his fans really want to come out and vote for him.
01:35:39.000 Yeah.
01:35:40.000 I see it.
01:35:40.000 So that's the thing.
01:35:41.000 If they get complacent and come November they're like, eh, Trump's going to win.
01:35:45.000 I don't need to go out and vote.
01:35:46.000 Then Trump loses.
01:35:47.000 That's a good point.
01:35:48.000 I don't see that happening though.
01:35:49.000 I don't see that.
01:35:50.000 That's not their attitude.
01:35:51.000 No, I think the attitude of a lot of these people is like, I want to prove it.
01:35:56.000 Like, there was a story of a dude whose buddy put a Trump sign in his yard as a joke, to like, because he didn't like Trump.
01:36:01.000 Oh, okay.
01:36:02.000 And so he like snuck in there one day and put a Trump sign in his yard.
01:36:05.000 The city came to the guy's house and said, remove the sign.
01:36:07.000 And he was like, what sign?
01:36:09.000 Oh, what?
01:36:10.000 Wait, what?
01:36:10.000 And his buddy was like, I put it there.
01:36:12.000 And then he was like... But the city told them to take it down?
01:36:15.000 Because there's like a sign law.
01:36:17.000 He was like, I'm not taking it down.
01:36:18.000 And they were like, you have to under the law.
01:36:19.000 And he was like, you can't tell me what to do.
01:36:21.000 So then he put up a ton of Trump flags all over his yard.
01:36:25.000 And he said, he told the press, he's like, I don't even like the guy, but you try and tell me what to do.
01:36:29.000 Yeah.
01:36:29.000 That's the thing I think about a lot of Trump's base is that a lot of them feel like the media has been kicking them so hard and insulting them.
01:36:37.000 And that these elitists like the Biden corporate Democrats have been such just like demeaning snide.
01:36:43.000 It's these ego battles, man.
01:36:45.000 Well, look, man, Michael Moore said it best.
01:36:49.000 He said, in 2016, these people, the downtrodden, Joe Blow, Bob Blow, Billy Blow, all the blows, are going to go down to the voting booth and give the biggest F-you in the history of the world to the establishments who sold them out and everything and elect Donald Trump.
01:37:03.000 Now, the rest of the quote is wrong.
01:37:06.000 He goes, and it'll feel good.
01:37:08.000 For a day, maybe a week, or a month.
01:37:12.000 And then just like the people of England who voted for Brexit, they will regret it.
01:37:16.000 Now here's the funny thing, the people of Brexit, people of Britain did not regret it.
01:37:20.000 They voted three years later overwhelmingly for Brexit again.
01:37:23.000 Yeah, they did.
01:37:24.000 Fairly confident Donald Trump is going to landslide.
01:37:26.000 But to answer your question, yeah, let's read some more.
01:37:30.000 Way to bring it around.
01:37:31.000 Yeah.
01:37:31.000 Johnny Deerfist says, Rusty Cage is the Rat King.
01:37:34.000 Glad to hear it.
01:37:35.000 Psygnosis says, Socialism equals Rope.
01:37:37.000 Democratic Socialism equals Gang Rope.
01:37:39.000 No, you know what I like?
01:37:40.000 There's a meme where it's like socialism and it shows someone putting people up against a wall and then it says Democratic Socialism and they put party hats and like confetti on everybody.
01:37:50.000 It's the same photo.
01:37:52.000 Right.
01:37:52.000 Same photo.
01:37:53.000 Yeah.
01:37:55.000 Spiderman says, why couldn't senators vote for the stimulus bill that were quarantined?
01:38:00.000 It's 2020.
01:38:01.000 We have video chat now.
01:38:02.000 Enjoy your content.
01:38:03.000 Been watching for a year.
01:38:05.000 I mean, we'll see the digitization of politics soon.
01:38:08.000 Yeah, that's interesting.
01:38:09.000 Someone was ragging on Trump the other day about why shouldn't we vote in the mail?
01:38:16.000 Why can't we vote in the mail?
01:38:17.000 And he's like, well, because it could be Fraudulence yeah easily swayed and they're like well didn't you vote for in the mail for the Florida primary and he's like Yeah, I'm the president.
01:38:28.000 It's like it's not even oh That's that's the most obvious thing.
01:38:32.000 I know it's like well.
01:38:33.000 Yeah, he's gonna fly down to Florida I mean good, but then they'd complain that he just flew down to Florida just exactly it's like oh But the other thing, too, is this is what the media does.
01:38:43.000 They don't tell people the difference between absentee ballots, which are vote-by-mail, and there's a certification process, and completely opening up every single vote to the same process.
01:38:53.000 I feel like we begrudgingly accept we have absentee ballots to do our best to make sure people have the opportunity to vote.
01:39:00.000 But we want a secure voting system, so if we just mail out all the ballots, what happens if someone steals mine?
01:39:06.000 And that'll happen.
01:39:07.000 That's a good point.
01:39:08.000 And changes your vote.
01:39:09.000 You know what, man?
01:39:10.000 I'm sorry to these people who want to keep changing the rules, but it seems like the only argument they have is change the rules.
01:39:18.000 It doesn't fly for me.
01:39:19.000 It's like, listen, we all know what the rules are.
01:39:21.000 If you want to vote, you go vote.
01:39:22.000 If you don't want to vote, well, then don't vote.
01:39:23.000 And people don't vote, well, that's too bad.
01:39:27.000 I know where I go vote, and I walk in, and I know what the rules are, and there are places that you don't even need... It doesn't make sense, the voter ID thing.
01:39:35.000 Why is it if you wanna go to the movies, you need an ID?
01:39:38.000 And if you wanna vote, you don't?
01:39:39.000 It makes literally no sense.
01:39:41.000 Somehow that's discriminatory?
01:39:42.000 I don't know.
01:39:43.000 It's mind baffling.
01:39:46.000 There's no real reason.
01:39:48.000 No idea.
01:39:50.000 All right, let's see.
01:39:51.000 Ryan North says, I got your hay.
01:39:52.000 Yo, listen what I say.
01:39:54.000 Oh, all right.
01:39:55.000 Wolf and Coyote says, hey Tim, keep up the good work.
01:39:57.000 What is your opinion of graphene technology?
01:39:59.000 Heard they are finally starting to use it for batteries now that the production costs have gone way down.
01:40:03.000 I am excited for graphene.
01:40:05.000 We'll see what happens.
01:40:05.000 Graphene's cool.
01:40:06.000 And they can make it out of anything.
01:40:08.000 It's great.
01:40:09.000 Gio says, why hasn't anyone tried to sell guns to the primate gangs yet?
01:40:13.000 Well, because they don't have money.
01:40:15.000 Perhaps they could give you a nut of some sort, or maybe a shiny rock.
01:40:21.000 David says, democratic socialism was always a sham.
01:40:25.000 Hitler was elected.
01:40:26.000 You could say he was a democratic nationalist socialist workers party leader.
01:40:30.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:40:31.000 Yu says, how does Soy Jesus have less than 500 subs on YouTube?
01:40:35.000 because you guys didn't subscribe to Soy Jesus YouTube.
01:40:38.000 You know what?
01:40:39.000 Come on, y'all.
01:40:40.000 Someone, you know, every so often someone calls me a Chad and it's like the last part, the driven part,
01:40:45.000 it's kind of, it's hazy because I'm driven to make myself comfortable and to make myself happy.
01:40:51.000 And I don't, like the amount of subs that I have on my channel,
01:40:55.000 it has nothing to do with that.
01:40:57.000 There's no correlation.
01:40:58.000 So I don't push my channel very strongly.
01:41:02.000 You know, some people have told me I should more.
01:41:05.000 I just, I love my life.
01:41:09.000 I love where I'm at.
01:41:10.000 I love what I do and I'm happy.
01:41:12.000 So, I think that's really it.
01:41:15.000 But thank you.
01:41:15.000 What he's saying is you guys have to subscribe to his channel.
01:41:18.000 Yes, that's what I'm getting.
01:41:19.000 I mean, sure, subscribe and I don't, you know, I don't post that much.
01:41:23.000 So, but, you know, I would like to post some skate videos, some music videos.
01:41:27.000 I just, I just did a scratch track for a song we're working on today.
01:41:31.000 Yeah.
01:41:31.000 So here's some good news for all y'all looking for work.
01:41:34.000 I am looking for an animator.
01:41:35.000 Yes, I need an animator.
01:41:37.000 It's true, he needs an animator.
01:41:38.000 So I have a bunch of songs I'm working on.
01:41:41.000 We just did the first scratch for a song about war and conflict.
01:41:46.000 It's a good song.
01:41:47.000 So if you're somebody who wants to help animate a very, like, brutal, maybe brutal, serious Serious song.
01:41:57.000 I'm looking for someone to animate.
01:41:59.000 So yeah, hit me up.
01:42:00.000 Yeah, but like gritty sketchy You know murder death explosions, but not like over-the-top explosions more political than anything It's a good political military revolution style.
01:42:10.000 Well, a bunch of people are now asking what my Where I'm at you can just type my name in and YouTube that's actually my my YouTube name So that's it's pretty easy to find me And you can follow us on Instagram and Twitter.
01:42:24.000 And Twitter and Instagram, sure.
01:42:26.000 And also hit that like button if you haven't.
01:42:28.000 And share!
01:42:29.000 Let's read some more of these Super Chats.
01:42:30.000 If you want to.
01:42:31.000 Clint Flippo says, just want to say I have been really enjoying the show.
01:42:34.000 It is way more chill than other social political podcasts and sometimes, especially now, people need that.
01:42:39.000 Stay safe, everyone.
01:42:40.000 Will do.
01:42:41.000 Thank you.
01:42:41.000 John, thanks for the Super Chat.
01:42:42.000 Thank you.
01:42:43.000 Interesting.
01:42:43.000 Wow.
01:42:43.000 The original idea behind malls was exactly what Adam just described.
01:42:46.000 They became what they are due to incentives for developers that essentially made them ideal tax havens.
01:42:51.000 Interesting. Wow. Let's bring it back.
01:42:53.000 Fearless Soldier says, question for Adam, what are your thoughts on PETA?
01:42:56.000 Uh, PETA. I...
01:43:01.000 I like some of the things they do, and I dislike some of the things they do.
01:43:05.000 Didn't they, like, steal dogs?
01:43:07.000 Yeah, they're not the best company, but they pick and choose their battles, which I don't like.
01:43:14.000 You know, they like to save face a lot and... Play politics instead of actually... They do play politics.
01:43:20.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:43:21.000 I'm not about that.
01:43:22.000 I'm very firm in what I believe, and I don't see them doing that.
01:43:27.000 They're like, eh, we're not going to touch that.
01:43:29.000 We're going to go gung-ho on this.
01:43:31.000 I don't have any specific examples, but... Well, it wasn't like the president diabetic, taking insulin, which was pig insulin.
01:43:40.000 There was a story about that a while ago.
01:43:42.000 Oh, really?
01:43:42.000 I don't know if it's true.
01:43:43.000 I don't want to impugn the honor of these activists, but...
01:43:46.000 What you'll find with a lot of these nonprofits, having been somebody who's, like, I've personally worked for a lot of them, oh yeah, man, the playing politics is always about saving face.
01:43:54.000 Seriously, it is.
01:43:55.000 You'll have, like, a politically inconvenient, you know, spectacle, and they're gonna be like, well, you know, actually, the perfect example, Time's Up.
01:44:03.000 Okay.
01:44:04.000 Tara Reid accuses Joe Biden.
01:44:05.000 She goes to the Time's Up organization, which is basically the Me Too, and they're like, well, because Joe Biden's running for president, we can't actually help you.
01:44:15.000 Oh.
01:44:16.000 The accusations are only good.
01:44:18.000 Oh, but Brett Kavanaugh!
01:44:19.000 Well... Yeah, you see how the game is played.
01:44:22.000 I don't like any of these groups.
01:44:23.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:44:24.000 Mm-hmm.
01:44:25.000 Same thing.
01:44:26.000 Kevin Kevin says, Hola.
01:44:29.000 Si, senor.
01:44:29.000 Hold your wallet.
01:44:30.000 Ghost Crusaders says, Inspire Brands, Arby's, Buffalo, Wild Wings, and Sonic are planning to pay half of the rent for May, June, July, and August.
01:44:38.000 We'll see how it goes.
01:44:39.000 Bruce Matthews, thanks for that hefty super chat.
01:44:41.000 Yeah, I saw that.
01:44:42.000 Thank you.
01:44:42.000 Appreciate you.
01:44:43.000 And let's see, where are we now?
01:44:44.000 We just got a big jump.
01:44:46.000 Buick says, most property management companies are waiving late fees and offering rent deferral plans over multiple months.
01:44:51.000 These rent payments numbers for April are as real as China's reporting.
01:44:55.000 Interesting.
01:44:56.000 It's funny that we hear a lot that we're the first generation to have it worse than our parents.
01:45:00.000 for 20, 30-ish years and things getting more and more expensive or kids being raised on luxury and easy life and
01:45:05.000 thinking That should be the starting point when their when their
01:45:08.000 parents started lower We it's funny that we hear a lot that
01:45:13.000 We like we're the first generation of it worse than our parents. I've heard that so much during occupy Wall Street
01:45:19.000 Yeah, I don't I don't know if I agree with that So I was listening to Gary Vaynerchuk and his parents came over from Hungary when it was under... I believe they came over from some communist country and he was talking about how they never ever ever complained.
01:45:34.000 And he was talking about how people need a little bit of perspective because we live in the best time we've ever had.
01:45:39.000 Exactly.
01:45:39.000 That's what we were saying earlier about the people coming here, they see what we've got.
01:45:46.000 They're like, wow, America.
01:45:48.000 Look at America.
01:45:50.000 And then the people here are like, what?
01:45:52.000 This is normal.
01:45:53.000 I'm bored.
01:45:54.000 I'm bored now with my life.
01:45:56.000 And it's like, what?
01:45:57.000 Look how good you have it.
01:45:59.000 You have no idea.
01:46:00.000 They need some perspective.
01:46:01.000 Yes, they do.
01:46:02.000 All right, we're gonna have to speed up once again.
01:46:04.000 So if we don't get your super chats, I do apologize.
01:46:06.000 But I do the best I can.
01:46:08.000 Sorry.
01:46:09.000 7killer says, Hey, Tim, I do remodeling for apartments.
01:46:11.000 And there is so much that goes into it.
01:46:13.000 People who say landlord isn't a job doesn't understand how much has to be done to maintain buildings.
01:46:17.000 Our last job was 5k plus.
01:46:19.000 Definitely anybody who owns a home.
01:46:21.000 Yeah, I was like, dude, I you do not expensive.
01:46:25.000 But it's not just that, dealing with neighbors, dealing with taxes, dealing with infrastructure stuff.
01:46:28.000 All the laws, yeah.
01:46:30.000 Oh man.
01:46:31.000 Can I do this?
01:46:31.000 Can I do that?
01:46:32.000 I can't do this?
01:46:33.000 Why can't I do this?
01:46:34.000 You know what?
01:46:35.000 Adam Kregler for president, says Joe Black.
01:46:37.000 Oh man, there's an endorsement.
01:46:40.000 This person's name is Epstein Didn't Kill Himself, saying, I'm still expecting to see y'all assemble a paranormal investigation team.
01:46:46.000 Call it Beanie Gang.
01:46:47.000 Let's do it.
01:46:48.000 And we need to get a dog.
01:46:49.000 I would so be down.
01:46:50.000 The Beanie Mysteries.
01:46:52.000 Speaking of my YouTube channel, I actually go deep into this old,
01:46:56.000 like, 1906 mortar base.
01:46:59.000 And I like, it's pitch black.
01:47:01.000 It was like Iron Gate, but these rangers opened it.
01:47:05.000 I was actually doing a photoshoot and they were like taking pictures of us and they left it open as they left and I'm like I'm going in there and I went deep into this base and I was recording and people have commented on it but I swear a ghost laughs at me and then you can hear in the white noise as I pass through this doorway a woman screaming.
01:47:25.000 It's crazy.
01:47:26.000 I did not hear it when I was there.
01:47:28.000 And if I did, I would not have gone as deep as I have gone.
01:47:31.000 I went deep into that place.
01:47:33.000 It was creepy.
01:47:34.000 But I'd love to do that more.
01:47:36.000 Anyway, go.
01:47:37.000 Serendipitous Lee says, what are your top couple muse songs?
01:47:40.000 I love Uprising and Thought Contagion.
01:47:42.000 Love the show too.
01:47:43.000 Been watching since the first night.
01:47:44.000 Such a great trinity.
01:47:46.000 I adore hearing the Holy Ghost speak.
01:47:48.000 She has the most soothing voice.
01:47:49.000 Oh, thanks. Top Muse songs. Oh, man. There are too many that are good. They're all good.
01:47:53.000 Just all of them. Every single one. Muscle Museum, I really, really like. City of Delusion.
01:48:01.000 The obvious classics like Hysteria, Knights of Cydonia, they're all good. Thought Contagion,
01:48:06.000 Their newer stuff.
01:48:07.000 Thought Contagion's good.
01:48:08.000 Pressure.
01:48:08.000 Dig down.
01:48:09.000 Dig down.
01:48:10.000 Uh, Time is Running Out.
01:48:12.000 Falling Away With You.
01:48:13.000 There's so many good muse songs.
01:48:14.000 I know.
01:48:14.000 I can play so many.
01:48:15.000 Muse is so good.
01:48:16.000 I can play so many on the guitar.
01:48:17.000 But, uh, I really like City of Delusion, uh, right now.
01:48:21.000 And, um, Muscle Museum is definitely always one of my go-tos.
01:48:24.000 Word.
01:48:25.000 I love Muscle Museum.
01:48:26.000 On the guitar, I love playing Hysteria.
01:48:28.000 Yeah, you're good at it too.
01:48:28.000 I love playing the bass riff.
01:48:31.000 Alright, let's see what we got here.
01:48:33.000 Church FTC says, Yo Tim, I'm an animator, where should I message you?
01:48:38.000 If you're an animator, and this is the challenge because I'm going to get 50 million emails and I apologize, I'll try to get to who I can, but you can email me at tim at timcast.com.
01:48:47.000 And I'm looking for an animator, so make sure you send me some videos, examples of your work.
01:48:53.000 And hopefully, you know, I can't get to everybody, obviously, because I always get like a thousand emails whenever I put a shoutout.
01:48:59.000 But we've got some music being recorded.
01:49:03.000 And I'm going to go full into this song I'm recording.
01:49:05.000 It's about... Should I say what it's about, Basil?
01:49:08.000 Yeah, why not?
01:49:09.000 It's basically a song that describes the cycle of revolution where the first verse is basically the dictator who thinks he's justified executing rebels, which leads to, you know, after he kills these, like, activists, their kid is hiding under the bed and then the kid grows up and becomes the rebel who overthrows the government.
01:49:29.000 And then the last segment is that rebel now, that kid is an adult and he puts on the dictator's hat And then goes and kills activists and there's a kid hiding under the bed and the cycle just keeps churning of people thinking they're justified in overthrowing because their way of life is always better.
01:49:43.000 I love it.
01:49:44.000 Yep.
01:49:44.000 It's a good song.
01:49:44.000 It's super cool.
01:49:45.000 It's good.
01:49:46.000 Gets in my head.
01:49:46.000 Yeah.
01:49:47.000 Well, hopefully we'll get it done.
01:49:48.000 Yep.
01:49:49.000 Andrew Simmons says, I find this show and your other content as a representation of what is good debate.
01:49:55.000 Extremism is the true evil of society.
01:49:57.000 Tim and Adam have their views, but don't try to force them on others.
01:49:59.000 This is how society should work.
01:50:01.000 I think it's fascinating.
01:50:02.000 I just kind of like sit here and talk about what I think, and I'm like, hey man, you do you.
01:50:05.000 Exactly.
01:50:06.000 I'm going to do me.
01:50:08.000 With that being said, let's talk about what it means to be a real tough man.
01:50:12.000 That's a good segue.
01:50:13.000 Yeah, this one, I don't know, you want to take it away?
01:50:15.000 Yeah, sure.
01:50:17.000 The title here, it's fake toughness versus the real thing.
01:50:21.000 People who are really tough rarely feel the need to show it.
01:50:26.000 Let's get into that.
01:50:27.000 An observation.
01:50:29.000 The strongest men I know, guys who deadlift over 500 pounds, run 4 minute for the mile, run a discus hundreds of feet, or run ultra marathons, tend to be caring, considerate, and generally calm dudes.
01:50:42.000 The guys I know who want to be strong and tough, but who are not, tend to be loud, defensive, and overly proud.
01:50:49.000 Seems pretty accurate, right?
01:50:51.000 So it says, uh, toughness isn't walking around with your chest puffed out trying to intimidate.
01:50:56.000 It's making the right decision under uncertainty and distress.
01:51:00.000 So let me interject.
01:51:02.000 Yeah, go ahead.
01:51:03.000 You know the reset the clock hashtag?
01:51:05.000 The meme?
01:51:05.000 No, I don't.
01:51:06.000 I'm going straight for the throat on this one.
01:51:07.000 What is it?
01:51:08.000 What is it?
01:51:08.000 I don't know.
01:51:08.000 So it's a meme that represents how many days it's been since a male feminist assaulted a woman.
01:51:15.000 Oh, okay.
01:51:16.000 And this actually, I'm going right for it, it plays right into this, that I'm thinking about a regular guy who is not interested in these, like, screechy, woke feminist types.
01:51:30.000 He's calm, he's rational, he knows he's good, he's confident, he can run a four minute mile, he can throw a discus hundreds of feet, and he's not interested in playing these weird games pandering to some woman who's screeching in his face.
01:51:40.000 Exactly.
01:51:40.000 With the male feminists!
01:51:42.000 That's it.
01:51:43.000 They're the chest-puffing white knights.
01:51:45.000 They need to prove something.
01:51:46.000 They gotta show what they've got.
01:51:52.000 So there's the quote.
01:51:52.000 Toughness isn't walking around with your chest puffed out, trying to intimidate.
01:51:56.000 It's making the right decision under uncertainty and distress.
01:51:59.000 Strength isn't yelling and shouting.
01:52:00.000 It's having the inner resources to navigate storms.
01:52:03.000 I like that a lot.
01:52:04.000 Look at this.
01:52:04.000 They actually break it down.
01:52:06.000 I love that.
01:52:07.000 More than ever, it seems we are in desperate need of new masculinity.
01:52:11.000 Just imagine if we started to raise our sons with the following core values.
01:52:14.000 I'm going to read through them first before I describe them.
01:52:17.000 Wisdom, real toughness, vulnerability, humility, authentic self-security.
01:52:20.000 I love that.
01:52:22.000 Wow.
01:52:23.000 Wisdom, allowing yourself to be open to and shaped by experience, not being scared of
01:52:27.000 change and not being scared to change.
01:52:30.000 Wonderful.
01:52:30.000 Real toughness, composure, clear-headedness, and stability in the midst of uncertainty, not to be confused with machismo acts of strength.
01:52:38.000 Now hold on, weren't we just told by the American psychologist or whatever?
01:52:43.000 The APA.
01:52:44.000 APA, that stoicism is like a mental disorder or something?
01:52:48.000 Toxic masculinity.
01:52:49.000 Toxic masculinity.
01:52:50.000 Being calm and clear-headed, rational, is considered toxic.
01:52:56.000 Now, hold on.
01:52:57.000 Now, the writer actually was talking about guys, but I don't even know if this is necessarily about men in general, because this can apply to women also.
01:53:07.000 Right.
01:53:07.000 You know, it's like, you can be a tough human, you know, and a weak human, and these still apply, you know, to across the board.
01:53:16.000 Totally.
01:53:16.000 Don't you think?
01:53:17.000 Yeah, absolutely.
01:53:18.000 Look at this, real vulnerability.
01:53:20.000 Putting yourself out there, all of it, even and perhaps especially the imperfections and flaws that make you human.
01:53:26.000 I totally respect that.
01:53:27.000 That's exactly why I think people have been saying good things about me.
01:53:30.000 Because I'll be like, oh man, I was totally wrong about 2018, I got no excuse for that.
01:53:35.000 What am I supposed to say?
01:53:36.000 Am I supposed to pretend like I'm invincible?
01:53:38.000 I'm always right?
01:53:39.000 That's ridiculous.
01:53:39.000 Or ignore it.
01:53:40.000 How many people do?
01:53:41.000 You know what really bugs me?
01:53:43.000 There are some progressives on YouTube I talk to all the time, And I've reached out to one with like, Hey man, I think you got this one wrong.
01:53:50.000 And they refuse to accept it, refuse to admit it.
01:53:53.000 Just ignore it.
01:53:55.000 I absolutely, like I get messages and they're like, Hey Tim, I think you're wrong about this.
01:53:58.000 I'll be like, Oh, was I?
01:53:59.000 And I'll go in immediately and be like, Hey, update correction.
01:54:01.000 I may have been wrong about this.
01:54:03.000 I really don't see the issue with accepting that you're not perfect.
01:54:06.000 I don't get it either.
01:54:07.000 But it's the fake tough guys who think they're always right.
01:54:11.000 Humility, which brings me to humility.
01:54:13.000 Humility, yep, exactly.
01:54:14.000 Knowing what you don't know, which for almost all of us is the vast majority of everything.
01:54:19.000 Exactly!
01:54:20.000 Understanding that your view of the world is merely one of billions, being curious instead of narrow, open instead of closed.
01:54:25.000 You know what the problem is?
01:54:27.000 All of these things have been described as toxic masculinity.
01:54:29.000 All of them, you're right.
01:54:31.000 It's crazy.
01:54:32.000 Who was the guy here who was the doctor?
01:54:36.000 Sean Smith.
01:54:37.000 Yeah, great dude.
01:54:38.000 That was a good episode.
01:54:40.000 He was talking about the importance of stoicism and being calm and clear-headed.
01:54:44.000 Like if you're driving in your car with your wife and your kids and you crash and you've got to get out and fix the car, you have to be calm.
01:54:51.000 You can't break down.
01:54:53.000 You've got to make sure that you can be a good leader so that your family is also not freaking out and they're calm.
01:54:57.000 Exactly.
01:54:57.000 But imagine what they want for you.
01:55:00.000 Like, when they say it's toxic masculinity, they want the husband and the wife to start crying and doing nothing.
01:55:05.000 The men must emote more.
01:55:06.000 Then he would just be sympathizing with his wife, I guess.
01:55:09.000 I guess that's what they're going for.
01:55:10.000 Pander.
01:55:11.000 Yeah.
01:55:11.000 Pander to the woman.
01:55:12.000 Tell her whatever she wants to hear.
01:55:13.000 Oh, dude.
01:55:14.000 That's not a good strategy.
01:55:15.000 It doesn't sound appealing to be around any person like that, man or woman.
01:55:18.000 No.
01:55:19.000 I think the big issue here actually is we get to the root of this and the real issue is don't be plastic
01:55:23.000 Hmm like be a real person. Yeah. Yeah, just be chill. Yeah, don't pretend don't make things up
01:55:28.000 Say what you say would you say what you mean mean what you say and some people show that side of themselves and
01:55:33.000 Very quickly revert to plastic. Yeah, it's challenging.
01:55:37.000 Yeah, it is. It's like you know, there's people get triggered or
01:55:43.000 Uncomfortable or embarrassed and instantly, you know try to you know, squash it instead of like, you know
01:55:51.000 Really exploring it really It's like, what is going through my brain right now?
01:55:55.000 What is happening?
01:55:56.000 You know, asking that about themselves.
01:55:58.000 You gotta learn to let it go.
01:55:59.000 Yeah.
01:56:00.000 Yeah.
01:56:01.000 Maybe not even just let it go, but understand it.
01:56:03.000 You got to learn to understand it.
01:56:05.000 You know, if something's happening, you should delve into that more, you know, and try to figure out what's going on.
01:56:12.000 Well, check this out.
01:56:13.000 This is an interesting, this is a report, I guess, from the American Council of Science and Health.
01:56:18.000 Testosterone may make men more honest.
01:56:22.000 This is really interesting.
01:56:23.000 They say testosterone does a lot of different things for men.
01:56:26.000 It masculinizes the body, boosts the sex drive, and contributes to hair loss.
01:56:31.000 Now researchers think it may also make men more honest.
01:56:34.000 In recent years, there has been an interest in determining how our hormones affect our economic behavior, such as gambling and financial risk-taking.
01:56:44.000 The financial industry is dominated by men, and if testosterone influences decision-making, this potentially has a profound implication for the national economy.
01:56:52.000 Paradoxically, testosterone promotes pro-social behaviors in some circumstances, and anti-social behaviors in others.
01:56:59.000 The reasons for this aren't entirely clear, but it may involve a man's desire to increase his social status.
01:57:05.000 Previous research shows that testosterone may actually make a man a fairer negotiator.
01:57:10.000 To investigate the phenomena further, a team of researchers administered testosterone gels to 124 college-age male volunteers and placebo gels to 118.
01:57:20.000 They were then given a die and told to roll it.
01:57:22.000 And whatever number came up was the amount of money they were to receive for participating in the experiment.
01:57:28.000 Because they rolled the die in private, they could cheat by reporting a higher value than they actually rolled.
01:57:32.000 The authors hypothesized that the testosterone group would be more honest.
01:57:37.000 The results showed that both groups cheated, but the placebo group cheated more, which was consistent with the team's hypothesis.
01:57:44.000 Whoa, whoa, whoa.
01:57:45.000 Back to the male feminists.
01:57:47.000 Low testosterone guys.
01:57:49.000 Lying to women to try and get laid.
01:57:50.000 Why am I not surprised?
01:57:52.000 That's really interesting.
01:57:53.000 It's a weird thing.
01:57:54.000 Fake toughness.
01:57:55.000 No testosterone.
01:57:57.000 Lying and cheating.
01:57:57.000 Behind the scenes.
01:57:59.000 These people are made for each other.
01:58:02.000 But what can a guy do to, I guess, boost their testosterone if they are a soy boy?
01:58:05.000 You gotta work out.
01:58:07.000 Not a soy bro.
01:58:08.000 Yeah.
01:58:09.000 Gotta work out.
01:58:10.000 Exercise-driven experience.
01:58:12.000 Find role models that you wanna be like.
01:58:14.000 You know, I think about the Try Guys, the BuzzFeed dudes who took the testosterone test and they were like 30% of average testosterone, some ridiculously low number.
01:58:21.000 Super low.
01:58:22.000 Yeah.
01:58:23.000 Well, I mean, there's a lot of data here that I'm not gonna, you know, get into, but they show, like, the results of what people were rolling, and I guess they determined that people were cheating because the proportions made no sense based on, like, so, if you roll the dice a number of times, you should expect a certain percentage of results, but they were skewing high, meaning people were giving higher numbers so they can get paid more, you know what I mean?
01:58:45.000 Yeah, exactly.
01:58:46.000 They say, "...the fact that two different studies arrived at the same conclusion, that testosterone appears to make men more honest, suggests the effect is real.
01:58:53.000 However, the failure of the current study, which was far larger than the previous study, to find its own significant result further suggests the testosterone effect on honesty is rather small."
01:59:02.000 Well, in the long run, I think it's kind of obvious?
01:59:08.000 You know, if that was the correlation, I'm not entirely sure, but it's obvious that Guys who are sure of themselves, who are confident, have no reason to lie.
01:59:17.000 Right.
01:59:19.000 They know what they're doing, they know what their path is, they're comfortable.
01:59:23.000 It's like, if you're comfortable, when you lie, you have to remember that and it changes.
01:59:29.000 It adds an uncomfortableness to whatever environment you're in.
01:59:34.000 If you are telling the truth, it's really simple.
01:59:38.000 It's really easy.
01:59:39.000 But I also wonder if it has something to do with how much you care, right?
01:59:43.000 There's kind of a catch-22 where when, I don't know in what, whatever, let me start over.
01:59:51.000 When talking about young guys who are trying to hook up with women, they say that desperate guys never stand a chance, right?
01:59:57.000 Because they come on too strong, they're very obviously desperate.
02:00:01.000 But then you end up with a dude who's never gotten laid, becoming more and more increasingly desperate and awkward, whereas the dudes who get laid very easily become less desperate and they don't care.
02:00:11.000 So now you have a bunch of guys who are aloof and confident, like, you know, whatever I want, whenever I want, I don't care.
02:00:16.000 And so now it's more attractive that they're aloof and kind of on their own, whereas the desperate guys increasingly, you know, struggle with it.
02:00:24.000 So it's kind of like, I guess the point I'm trying to make is dudes who are confident and tough and high testosterone don't need to try as hard.
02:00:32.000 It's just, it's coming to them naturally, which also makes them more confident and more successful.
02:00:36.000 It's kind of like there's two paths.
02:00:38.000 And if you fall into the depreciative path, if you're going negative, It's going to be worse until you can course correct and get out of that pitfall.
02:00:45.000 Yeah, if you ever can.
02:00:45.000 If you ever can.
02:00:47.000 You might end up as one of these predatory male feminists pretending to actually care about stupid causes that no one actually cares about because you're a liar just desperately trying to get laid.
02:00:55.000 Yeah.
02:00:56.000 It's almost like a feedback loop.
02:00:57.000 If you can't do it, you're going to feel like a failure.
02:00:59.000 If you feel like a failure, you'll never be appealing and then you'll never Yeah, exactly and then you'll find out that you you ended up as a male feminist and Like who would want to be one of these people in a room full of people that they're they're making fun of you And you're just like yeah Like it's it's if these guys who are sitting in rooms and the women are like men are awful and the male feminist goes Aren't they?
02:01:19.000 Why would you sit there and take that?
02:01:21.000 Yeah.
02:01:21.000 Defend yourself.
02:01:22.000 Yeah, exactly.
02:01:22.000 You think they respect you when you sit there and do that?
02:01:25.000 I don't get it.
02:01:26.000 It's not honest.
02:01:27.000 Nope, it's not.
02:01:28.000 It's like, do you not even enjoy living?
02:01:31.000 Do you not enjoy yourself?
02:01:33.000 That's something you can't change.
02:01:34.000 Self-flagellation.
02:01:35.000 Some people don't.
02:01:36.000 I'm not trying to make light on that, but it's sad.
02:01:39.000 Yeah.
02:01:40.000 Well, what can you say, man?
02:01:42.000 Well, how about we hop over to the last few Super Chats?
02:01:45.000 We'll start to wrap this up.

02:02:02.000 North Strider says, what if Biden chooses Tulsi as his VP?
02:02:05.000 I'm not voting for Biden.
02:02:06.000 Well, that's interesting.
02:02:09.000 I'm not trying to be mean or anything.
02:02:10.000 He picks Tulsi?
02:02:11.000 I'm not confident that Biden is long for this world.
02:02:13.000 Where did you hear you said he was going to pick Kamala Harris?
02:02:16.000 Yeah, I heard something about Ms.
02:02:17.000 Harris being mulled.
02:02:18.000 Was that like official?
02:02:19.000 Just a rumor.
02:02:20.000 Just a rumor.
02:02:21.000 I gotta be honest, at this point, I wouldn't vote for him no matter what.
02:02:23.000 Yeah, how can you in good conscience?
02:02:28.000 I gotta hear clear sentences from someone I'm gonna vote for.
02:02:32.000 I gotta understand what you're saying.
02:02:34.000 That's a pretty sure line I won't cross.
02:02:38.000 If I can't understand what you're saying, and no one around me can either, so it's not me, it's you, it's like, alright dude, I'm not voting for you.
02:02:45.000 But the idea is he's not long for this world.
02:02:47.000 I get that.
02:02:48.000 So his VP will be present.
02:02:49.000 I know, exactly.
02:02:51.000 Right, right, right.
02:02:52.000 I wouldn't do it, I'm not going near it.
02:02:54.000 If I was invited, I'd love to do it.
02:02:57.000 Help!
02:02:57.000 Is it not working?
02:02:57.000 I mean, most people have praised it.

02:03:44.000 Google search UFO levitating lamp and you should be able to find it.
02:03:49.000 Rebecca Ann says, I think if you replaced toughness with leadership in that article, it would still be accurate.
02:03:53.000 Absolutely.
02:03:54.000 And it could apply to men or women.
02:03:56.000 Interesting.
