Nina Jankiewicz is the new head of the Department of Homeland Security's "Ministry of Truth" and she thinks the government should not be in the business of policing disinformation. Is she right or is she wrong? And what will she and her team do about it? Is it a good or bad thing that the government is now in charge of what is and what isn't information and what is weaponized against individuals who don't agree with it? And is it even a problem at all? Or is it something that can be solved by the media and the mainstream media? Or will they just keep pushing the needle further and further in the direction that they want to move politically? And if you don't like it, don't worry, I'm going to give you some solutions to it. I promise you that you won't want to miss this one. I've been in the room for the last five years and I've seen a lot of this, and I assure you, the media doesn't even have a pretense of objectivity anymore. They care less about whether they can break the needle anymore, they care more about whether or not they can be factually correct or not, and they don't even care anymore about whether the needle can be moved in the right direction politically anymore. 00:00:32.000In fact, you know, the use of that term has been basically the foundation to some very draconian fake news laws in places like Russia or even Singapore.

00:01:04.000I don't think that government should be in that business, she said during testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.
00:01:10.000She was questioned by actually a Democrat, Jim Hines of Connecticut, who apparently had an experience growing up in tyrannical Latin American countries and was violently allergic, and I quote, to governments that claim to be regulating the flow of information, as we should all be.
00:01:27.000Okay? He says, we start going down that path and we're not just breaking democracy, we are breaking classical, enlightened liberalism.
00:01:35.000I don't know if that exists anymore, guys.
00:01:37.000That whole classical liberal thing, I think they've just gone off the deep end and everyone's a radical communist leftist.
00:01:48.000He also noted, and I quote, that there were also examples of Democrats using disinformation, such as President then Barack Obama, saying that if they wanted to keep your private insurance plan, you could do it.
00:01:59.000If you liked your doctor, you can keep them.
00:02:03.000So should social media companies, should they be out there pursuing the former president for breaking a promise to all the voters who voted for him, to Americans in general?
00:02:15.000Of course they should by these rules, but we know that the rules won't be implemented that way, right?
00:02:20.000Again, the Department of Homeland Security, a huge organization, militarized weapons and everything, they're going to be in charge of what is and what isn't information.
00:02:30.000And I have a feeling when you have a radical like Leon Jankovic in there, it's going to be weaponized against Individuals that they don't agree with.
00:02:38.000You saw, she pointed out in the same thing, talking about how, you know, there was a domestic plot against Gretchen Whitmer.
00:02:45.000You know, they don't talk about the FBI's involvement and they also don't talk about now that the people that were actually in there, there have been two acquittals and two hung juries apparently, right?
00:02:55.000What was or was not the correct information?
00:02:58.000Was the Wuhan lab leak theory, which was dubbed misinformation and labeled as such, that seems to be pretty damn accurate now?
00:03:05.000And everyone's like, yeah, of course, that was probably where it originated.
00:03:08.000Like, you would have been tarred and feathered in the public square two years ago when people like me questioned what was going on with that.
00:03:17.000So that we can't even have that discourse, that they can decide what is and what isn't truth right from the beginning.
00:03:24.000Isn't that scary? I mean, that's what fascism is about.
00:03:29.000We're going to give you what the truth is.
00:03:31.000It doesn't matter if we find out later.
00:03:33.000We're going to suppress it now. Rather than being American, having that dialogue, being able to talk these things through, to put out ideas, even if they're bad ideas, that people can listen to and figure it out for themselves.

00:03:49.000I've seen a lot of this quote-unquote misinformation, and I've seen what the media reports, and I can assure you, That the misinformation is coming from our mainstream media, who doesn't even have a pretense of objectivity anymore, who could care less about whether they're lying or not, as long as they're able to move the needle politically in the direction that they want.
00:04:08.000I'm glad to see some Democrats pushing back on this kind of craziness.
00:04:12.000Hopefully that will continue, because knowing them, they're going to allow it to happen, because as long as they're controlling the upper echelons of government, as long as they're controlling the Ministry of Truth, They're probably fine with it because they'll weaponize it.
