00:15:21.000 They use American technology, American platforms, American universities, American infrastructure, and the protection of the American Constitution to explain somehow why America is evil.

00:17:19.000 I think that what we saw in the mayoral campaign is the mayor was able to build a movement that inspired people to believe that we could have a government that works for ordinary people, that is actually responsive to the working class.

00:17:33.000 Inspiration is great, but if you're the bodega owner, how would you feel if the government opened a big grocery store right next to your bodega?

00:17:43.000 If one publicly owned grocery store that brings prices down in the neighborhood is enough to put someone out of business, then maybe they shouldn't have been in that business in the first place.

00:17:54.000 Maybe they shouldn't have been in that business in the first place.

00:17:57.000 Yeah, because they're going to put government subsidies out there.

00:18:00.000 By the way, $30 million gets you one hell of a bodega, okay?

00:18:03.000 These small business owners that risk everything that are running these businesses, they got a lot to lose.

00:18:18.000 They're competing against other small businesses, people that took those risks and those chances to try to live their American dream.

00:18:24.000 They're going to spend more money than any private business would spend because, you know, no one's going to watch over the stuff.

00:18:37.000 I mean, if the government uses taxpayer money, special rules, public property, and political power to destroy your business and says, you know, maybe you should have not been in business in the first place, that's literally their platform.

00:19:38.000 These people talk endlessly about compassion, right up until the person losing his livelihood stands in the way of the revolution.

00:19:50.000 And of course, the government grocery store begins with a beautiful promise you know, lower prices, better access, food justice, equity, all of the buzzwords.

00:22:15.000 Let's make sure that the smartest people who have the ability to then later create businesses where those people could work, make sure they don't get a chance.
