NBC News reporter says voter ID laws disproportionately affect trans people. Oh my God, guys, I may have to start voting in 2022, just take us out at this point, because this is getting insane. Here's a clip from a recent NBC News article on the matter: "Transgender voters in 31 states that conduct their elections mostly in person and require or request ID at the polls don't have IDs that reflect their gender identities and the names they go by. They can't fly on a plane because they can't get them because their ID doesn't match their gender identity." Is this a joke or is this a real problem? Is the trans community being discriminated against because of their identity? Or is it a problem that can't be solved by the mainstream media and politicians? Is there any way to prove this is not the case, or is it just a convenient excuse to keep pushing their agenda and keep pushing anything they can get their hands on? I mean, come on, it's not like it's hard to change your name, is it? ? What's the difference between being trans and being a person with a birth certificate that matches your gender identity? Is it really that hard to get ID to vote, or does it have to be so hard to vote if you identify as a different gender? or can you just choose a different name? . I don't know, but it's pretty simple, isn't it's just common sense, right? I'll tell ya'll. You don't need a driver's license to vote in order to do so you can be a better voter and you should be able to vote the way you want to vote not a little bit more accurately ... right? Let's talk about that, right?? right? You can do it, right?! or you can change your identity, can't you, can you change your ID to be more democratic, right ? I mean really change it, can it be that simple, right, right ? or not? Let me know your thoughts on this is it that simple? and I'll let me know what you think about it, bro? 00:00:17.000The.0 Oh, one percent of the population, who knows, of people.
00:00:24.000Now it's trans people that they're disproportionately affecting with voter ID laws.
00:00:31.000So having run out of African Americans to stigmatize as being too dumb, remember when they did that one, to have an ID card, now they're claiming ID laws disproportionately affect trans people.
00:01:07.000Joe, good morning to you. So first of all, how can voter ID laws create obstacles for transgender people?
00:01:12.000And where do we see some of the strictest voter ID laws?
00:01:16.000Sure, yes. So voter ID laws disproportionately impact trans people because trans people are more likely to have IDs without the name that they go by and the gender marker that reflects how they present.
00:01:27.000And recent research shows that just over 200,000 eligible trans voters in 31 states that both
00:01:33.000conduct their elections mostly in person and require or request ID at the polls don't have
00:01:39.000IDs that reflect their gender identities and the names they go by. And, you know, the states that
00:01:44.000have the strictest voter ID laws are mostly concentrated in the South and Midwest. So
00:01:48.000you're, you know, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Kansas. So voters there are going to be.
00:01:53.000Remember, I thought voter IDs laws disproportionately affected people of color.
00:02:22.000I guess they can't get pulled over because, you know, that can't match.
00:02:27.000Now, trans people don't have IDs or are incapable of getting them.
00:02:31.000Now, they can get a surgery or go through extensive, you know, hormone replacement treatments to change whatever it is.
00:02:38.000And that's their right. They can do whatever they want.
00:02:40.000I don't care as long as, again, they're not doing it to minors.
00:02:43.000Another problem. Now, they can do all that, but they can't get ID. Can the MSN, like the mainstream media, can they prove the talking point?
00:02:54.000Or is it just, we throw in trans and therefore it's the gospel?
00:02:58.000By that logic, wouldn't all ID laws be sort of out the window?
00:03:03.000You know, the alias they're choosing to go by, that's fine, but they can't change it?
00:03:11.000How do you disproportionately affect the population that is like, you know, one in a thousand?
00:03:19.000If I need to show ID to buy a beer, get on a plane, drive a car, then showing ID to vote shouldn't be that complicated.
00:03:29.000Hollywood must be writing this stuff at this point, right?
00:03:32.000If they identify as a million different people, do they get a million different votes?
00:03:36.000You know, is it that difficult to vote your birth gender and stick with that, or to bring the documentation if you changed your name with your ID? Like, it doesn't seem like it's that complicated, but it's anything to drive the narrative, right?
00:03:49.000Remember, By this logic, you wouldn't be able to get on a plane.
00:03:53.000You wouldn't be able to travel at all.
00:04:02.000It's so ridiculous that when do we say enough is enough and actually start using some common sense?
00:04:09.000You don't need to discriminate against people, but if they're making an elective choice, they should be able to change their idea.
00:04:14.000Just like if I wanted to change my name because I didn't want to get hassled going into You know, again, maybe going to an airport or a plane.
00:04:22.000It's not that hard, folks, but we're going to change the way 350 million Americans do something to try to prove a talking point that affects a ridiculously small portion of the country.
00:04:38.000But of course, if it's driving forth the narrative, that's what they're going to try to do.
00:04:44.000Where have we seen this before? I guess they ran out of minorities to discriminate, so now it's the trans community that desperately needs the mainstream media to help them.
