00:13:20.000 Over 60,000 people are currently being detained and going through the deportation process.

00:13:25.000 And they deported more than 2,700 people last week.

00:13:33.000 I made this very clear when we were moving forward with my nomination that I wanted to get DHS out of the headlines so our ICE agents, our CPP agents, and all the other law enforcement agencies we have underneath DHS could go do their job without being harassed by the media.

00:13:54.000 In fact, just yesterday, we arrested over 1,900 individuals.

00:13:58.000 We have over 60,000 individuals that are currently being detained going through the process of being deported.

00:14:09.000 We're getting slowed down a little bit because of some of our court issues.

00:14:13.000 We're working through that.

00:14:15.000 But we haven't missed a beat.

00:14:16.000 We're still on track pushing as hard as we can.

00:14:25.000 In fact, I had a meeting this morning with local law enforcement about our 287G program that is very effective.

00:14:36.000 And then at the same time, we had a meeting about the last administration.

00:14:39.000 It was interesting to me, Rob, when I sat down and talked to my ICE agents in a different state today, they were surprised that we were leaning in so hard because underneath the Biden administration, they couldn't even go pick up individuals when local law enforcement would hold them.

00:14:57.000 And they were having a hard time deporting individuals once they got released from the prison sentence.

00:15:02.000 We are leaning extremely hard in that.

00:15:04.000 So, no, absolutely, positively, we're not slowing down one bit.

00:33:24.000 And that's why federal action actually matters here, because it's not going to happen from the state until you have a change of leadership.

00:33:30.000 Because if local leaders will not protect the public square, if they will not protect the citizen, if they will not protect the family walking through a park, then the federal government has to step in and actually enforce the law.

00:33:45.000 That's the same clarity is why the White House is looking at cartels like the national security threat that they are.

00:33:54.000 Because fentanyl deaths are not just a drug problem.

00:33:58.000 Human smuggling is not just an immigration problem.

00:34:02.000 Cartel violence is not just a border problem.

00:34:05.000 These are all national security threats.

00:34:08.000 They are attacks on American families, on American communities, and on American sovereignty.

00:34:13.000 And the only reason Washington spent so long pretending otherwise. Is because too many powerful people benefited from the chaos.

00:34:26.000 NGOs benefit from chaos.

00:34:28.000 Cartels benefit from chaos.

00:34:31.000 Sanctuary politicians benefit from chaos.

00:34:34.000 The regime media obviously benefits from the chaos and the clicks.

00:34:38.000 The only people who don't benefit are the Americans, the citizens who have to live with it, who have to watch it destroy their community.

00:34:49.000 One side wants to manage the decline.

00:34:52.000 The other side wants to actually reverse it.

00:34:56.000 One side wants to explain why nothing can be done.

00:34:59.000 The other side is actually doing the things that can very obviously be done if there is some resolve, if there is some will.

00:35:08.000 The other side protects the citizen.

00:36:09.000 And the Trump administration is giving the country something Washington almost forgot existed consequences and accountability, consequences for criminals.

00:36:21.000 Consequences for predators, consequences for cartels, consequences for foreign regimes, consequences for officials who put politics over public safety.
