Triggered - Donald Trump Jr - SNL Is A Joke, And Not In The Funny Way

Elon Musk is the richest man in the world and he's hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend. What s his crime? Is he a racist? Or a socialist? Or is he a liberal? Or something else entirely? I mean, come on, it's not like he's some sort of right wing activist, he's not even a conservative. He's just a guy who thinks outside of the box and is willing to question the woke powers that be. That's what makes him controversial, right? And it's amazing that comedy has fallen so far, how pathetic our society has become in its pursuit of the wokeness that we're all trying to live up to. Maybe he can be the catalyst for comedy to return to its former glory? or maybe he can just be a comedian like Bill Cosby was back in the 70s and 80s, when they were actually funny. Let's see what happens this weekend on SNL, shall we? (Note: I'm old enough to remember when SNL was actually funny, but I'm new enough to realize how far we've fallen in the last 20 years that comedy is no longer funny, and that it needs to be funny again. Sorry about that.) I don't know, but it's a good thing it's been a long time coming, and hopefully it'll get back to where it used to be, and we'll figure it out soon. Let's talk about it in a new episode of Thick & Thin, y'all! -Jon Soro Jon (Jon) . . . Jon . Jon's new book: "Wokeness" is out now, and it's out in paperback is out on Amazon, and you can buy it on amazon now! Jon has a free copy of the book out now. You can find it here: bit.ly/tweet me a copy of his book, if you're looking for the book? Jon s new book is out in the book: if you want to buy it, Jon's book is also out now: it's on amzn. Jon is a good one, Jon s book is on it's also on the road, and he'll give me a review of it, and I'll give you a shoutout on my insta: here's the link to the book, too if you do and you're interested in it's good enough to review it.

00:00:00.000 Well guys, today we're going to talk Elon Musk and his apparently controversial Gig hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend.

00:00:09.000 Now, I don't know about you guys.

00:00:10.000 I'm perhaps a little older than some of you, but I'm old enough to remember when Saturday Night Live was actually funny.

00:00:16.000 And the fact that having Elon Musk on there is somehow controversial is truly amazing.

00:00:22.000 And it shows you how far comedy has fallen, how pathetic our society has become, sort of pursuing the wokeness.

00:00:30.000 I mean, think about it. This is maybe the richest man in the world at the moment.

00:00:35.000 Someone who's putting things into space as a private company, able to do what these governments of the world have been trying to do for a long time at a fraction of the cost.

00:00:50.000 I mean, someone who wants to talk about, you know, sending people to Mars.

00:00:54.000 You know, honestly, one of the great minds of modern time.

00:00:58.000 What's his crime?

00:01:00.000 That he's controversial, that he doesn't just mimic The leftist talking points at all times.

00:01:06.000 He doesn't just copy them blindly because he's able to actually think outside of the box and come up with his own solution.

00:01:14.000 Again, I don't think he's a conservative.

00:01:15.000 I think he believes in things like free speech, which most Americans used to believe in.

00:01:20.000 But, quote, due to the controversial nature of the host, it's understood that the SNL cast members aren't being forced to appear on this week's episode.

00:01:31.000 They don't have to go to work because they're worried that Someone may hurt their feelings.

00:01:35.000 Imagine what like the 1970s SNL cast back then, who knows if they've gotten woke since then, pressured by Hollywood and the other clowns. 0.54

00:01:46.000 Imagine what they would say.

00:01:49.000 About people too afraid to show up to their jobs to work with someone because maybe they don't like them.

00:01:55.000 And again, it's not like Elon Musk, some sort of right wing activist.

00:01:58.000 I don't, you know, I think he's probably just a free speech guy, believes in general freedoms.

00:02:04.000 I'm not sure where he even stands politically.

00:02:07.000 I don't think he's said too much about it.

00:02:09.000 I think the left tries to make him out to be some sort of right wing activist.

00:02:13.000 Simply because he does talk about free speech.

00:02:15.000 He does talk about the censorship.

00:02:17.000 He is pushing the envelope in terms of the thought and process and the dialogue that we should be having as a people.

00:02:24.000 That today is controversial.

00:02:28.000 That he would question the woke powers that be is controversial.

00:02:35.000 Man, it's a joke. 0.98

00:02:37.000 I imagine that the 70s cast of SNL would kick today's SNL's ass Just for being crybabies and snowflakes because it's sort of amazing what one of those great institutions and how far they have fallen. 0.97

00:02:50.000 That today, comedy is essentially censored, in some cases outlawed in the sense that if you go to a certain place, you'll just get canceled. 0.99

00:03:00.000 It's ridiculous. 0.93

00:03:02.000 It's absolutely insane. 0.97

00:03:04.000 So let's see what happens.

00:03:06.000 Hopefully some of these people actually man up, stop their crying and actually show up.

00:03:11.000 Again, I don't know if it matters.

00:03:14.000 Maybe he can be the catalyst like he is for so many other things of change to actually make Saturday Night Live funny again.

00:03:21.000 But I don't know, guys.

00:03:22.000 It may have fallen too far.

00:03:24.000 Let's see. It should be interesting.
