Triggered - Donald Trump Jr - The Saga Continues: NSA Responds To Tucker - My Reaction

Tucker Carlson accuses the National Security Agency of spying on him. The NSA denies the allegations and tries to paint a picture of what they did not do. It's a non-denial denial that doesn't add any new context to the matter. The problem is, the NSA has a long history of lying and cover-ups, and this is just the latest in a long line of lies they have tried to get us to believe over and over again. It doesn't get any easier than that. 00:00:00.000 Okay guys, this is a big one.

00:00:01.000 Really big. So the NSA has responded to Tucker Carlson's allegations that they've been spying on him.

00:00:07.000 Now... Hey Siri, what's the non-denial denial?

00:00:11.000 Because this is case in point exhibit A of a non-denial denial.

00:00:17.000 This is the NSA's response.

00:00:20.000 Also, bear in mind, nothing instills confidence in American public that is rightfully skeptical of these agencies, right?

00:00:28.000 They've seen the abuse from the FBI, DAJ, CIA, and all of them over the last couple of years.

00:00:33.000 NSA is no different.

00:00:34.000 Just look what they did with Snowden and all the others over the years.

00:00:37.000 Like, let's stop pretending these guys are above board.

00:00:39.000 But nothing adds to the confidence that we as the American public should have in these agencies than turning off people's ability to reply to the comment and response by a government agency, which is exactly what they did in this tweet.

00:00:55.000 They turned off people's ability to reply and comment On a government agency.

00:01:00.000 So, again, it's already starting off, but read it carefully.

00:01:05.000 Listen to it carefully, and listen for the nuance, because what they're trying To get you to believe is not actually what any of this says.

00:01:14.000 So here we go. The agency has been, quote, monitoring our electric communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air, close quote.

00:01:24.000 This allegation is untrue.

00:01:26.000 Tucker Carlson has never been an intelligence target of the agency, and the NSA has never had any plans to take his program off the air.

00:01:35.000 NSA has a foreign intelligence mission.

00:01:37.000 We target foreign powers to generate insight on foreign activities that could harm the United States, with limited exceptions, e.g.

00:01:45.000 an emergency. NSA may not target a U.S. citizen without a court order that explicitly authorizes the targeting, right?

00:01:52.000 Like a FISA warrant. Because FISA hasn't been abused over the last few years, right?

00:01:57.000 The FBI didn't abuse it and lie about it in the Russia-Russia hoax, folks, right?

00:02:03.000 So this is the perfect example of a non-response.

00:02:06.000 They try to lead you there. Now, they could be targeting someone else and still getting Tucker's communications.

00:02:10.000 They could not specifically be targeting Tucker, but still be monitoring those communications.

00:02:14.000 But none of it says that, right?

00:02:16.000 It's bizarre that they don't allow replies.

00:02:19.000 But it's also the same deceit that they've used for years.

00:02:22.000 They can spy on U.S. citizens' communications without targeting the American.

00:02:27.000 Third, the NSA has extremely broad authority to collect communications, right?

00:02:31.000 Glenn Greenwald did all sorts of stuff about this.

00:02:34.000 This is a guy that was definitely a liberal leader on the left, who's sort of, I think, seen some of the light about what's going on with these agencies and has called them out on it, okay?

00:02:43.000 So, first and foremost, if you've been watching, I believed Tucker before I believed the NSA. The NSA definitely wasn't spying on Tucker, and yet they said that, right?

00:02:53.000 He's never been an intelligence target.

00:02:55.000 Doesn't say they weren't looking at the communications.

00:02:57.000 Let's be clear, okay? This is not normal, folks.

00:03:02.000 Remember, they did this to Snowden.

00:03:04.000 It's got broad authority to collect Americans' communications, and it often does without specifically targeting that person.

00:03:11.000 You don't have to be a genius to do this.

00:03:14.000 Back in 2013, using the NSA's top secret documents, Glenn Greenwald reported in detail how the NSA collects, stores, and monitors Americans' communications without a warrant and without targeting the American.

00:03:27.000 Which is all the NSA denies that it did in this statement.

00:03:31.000 They just said, they weren't targeting. Doesn't mean they didn't read it.

00:03:33.000 Again, not bolstered by the fact that they turned off replies.

00:03:38.000 Also not bolstered by the fact that the Pentagon just suspended a pro-Trump security official for, quote, unauthorized disclosure of classified information from the NSA. Presumably means that she or they or whoever leaked NSA activities to someone who wasn't supposed to talk about it, right? Definitely a non-denial denial.

00:03:58.000 This stuff goes on and on.

00:04:01.000 It doesn't stop. 0.97

00:04:03.000 These are the same people that have told you that white supremacy is the biggest threat and, of course, conservatives are a key to espousing white supremacy rhetoric and all this nonsense.

00:04:11.000 But this is what happens when the left takes over an institution. 0.78

00:04:16.000 They did not deny it.

00:04:18.000 They can't. That's what he says.

00:04:20.000 And honestly, if you've been watching, I tend to believe him.

00:04:23.000 Certainly much more than I do any of these broken and corrupted agencies.

00:04:28.000 Have a good one guys. Hope you're paying attention.
