Summary

Charlie Kirk's memorial service in Arizona yesterday was a day of incredible service and reflection. I was there in the middle of the day in the woods and I thought it would be a good idea to give you a little insight into what it was like being there.

00:06:22.000 Hey guys, welcome to another huge episode of Triggered.
00:06:27.000 And what a few days it's been.
00:06:29.000 I was in Arizona yesterday.
00:06:31.000 Um, I'm actually up in the woods now.
00:06:35.000 I had to get away and escape for a little bit after the crazy week that everyone's had.
00:06:40.000 But in Arizona yesterday for what was an incredibly powerful memorial service for my dear friend Charlie Kirk.
00:06:49.000 And now, again, back on the road, need a week to decompress.
00:06:54.000 This one hit me hard, pretty heavy.
00:06:58.000 But I thought it was an amazing event.
00:07:00.000 Uh and like I told you guys, I'm gonna find the time to check in when I'm traveling, whatever it may be to bring you the latest, so keep your notifications on because I may hop on at any time.
00:07:11.000 Right now, I'm on the road for like two months, so I'm just gonna keep up with the regular schedule shows.
00:07:17.000 I'm gonna try to do that as best we can, but I may be all over the place.
00:07:21.000 and so put those notifications on so you can jump on if and when I go on at a random time.
00:07:26.000 There's so much to say and reflect on when it comes to yesterday's service and really Charlie's entire life.
00:07:34.000 So we're going to play Some of the remarks from the incredible slate of speakers.
00:07:40.000 Um, I'll add some commentary, I'll give you a little insight on what it was like being behind the scenes.
00:07:46.000 Um, really a special day.
00:07:49.000 I mean, that's not really my strong suit as you'll probably hear because we'll probably play you my whole speech.
00:07:54.000 Um, because I think it was important to uh to get out there and honestly very cathartic to you know, just get all that out there, even if there was in front of like a hundred thousand people.
00:08:04.000 But yesterday really had something for everyone.
00:08:09.000 There was reflection, passion, poise, emotion from Susie Wiles to Stephen Miller, who was fire, um, Marco Ruby, though, JD, myself, Erica, and obviously my father, uh, and obviously some of the great people before that, Jack was over with Benny, you know, some of you know Charlie's dearest friends and the people closest to Turning Point.
00:08:31.000 Everyone reflected on Charlie's life in a unique and profound way.
00:08:37.000 Something that really stood out to me um as I was listening to all of that.
00:08:41.000 Um that was a long one, but uh, I was there for the whole thing.
00:08:44.000 Um, is that Charlie wasn't just talk, he was action.
00:08:49.000 Uh as JD said yesterday, he knew that America wouldn't be saved just by pulling together seminars and putting out memos.
00:08:57.000 It would be saved by being present on the ground each and every day.
00:09:03.000 Germany built an organization that reshaped the balance of our politics, certainly the youth movement.
00:09:11.000 And I would want I guess I think he would want to be honest about the evil that we face, but also to remember that for every evil and every hateful voice, there are millions of patriotic people ready to carry the torch and let his legacy live on.
00:09:30.000 So we'll get into all of those things.
00:09:34.000 We're seeing this legacy live on across the world.
00:09:37.000 In many ways, frankly, we probably could have never imagined.
00:09:40.000 Even my father and Elon sat down yesterday, uh, cordial-wise, and I saw him up in the sweep myself.
00:09:48.000 Um, that was a big deal.
00:09:50.000 Uh, even in death, Charlie was bringing people back together, uniting them for a common purpose.
00:09:57.000 So coming up, we'll play you all the sights and the sounds from yesterday, maybe the condensed versions.
00:10:03.000 I don't know if I'm sure some of you watched, but I don't know if all of you could have watched the whole thing.
00:10:06.000 Uh, and preview a few things coming up inside and outside of Washington.
00:10:11.000 So again, guys, make sure you're liking, sharing, subscribing so you never miss one of these major episodes.
00:10:17.000 I think the Thursday episode, I'm probably gonna have to do from like a remote bush camp up in the middle of nowhere in the Yukon.
00:10:22.000 Um Starlink.
00:10:24.000 It's gonna make me able to talk to you guys from camp.
00:10:27.000 So um we'll get there.

00:12:57.000 That's BYRNA.com.
00:13:00.000 Check it out, guys.
00:13:02.000 And as I said earlier, Charlie's legacy is living on.
00:13:07.000 I mean, that's pretty clear.
00:13:08.000 It's even more profound, patriotic, and powerful than we could have ever, ever imagined.
00:13:13.000 It lit a fire and sparked an energy and passion in so many young Americans, so many Americans in general, really young and old, uh, all across the world.
00:13:24.000 And every speaker yesterday had their own unique and powerful way of that message.
00:13:31.000 And as Turning Point's chief operating officer, Justin Stratus said yesterday, Charlie's last 31 years weren't just a career, guys.
00:13:40.000 They were his calling.
00:13:42.000 And he's 100% right.
00:13:44.000 Charlie stirred patriotism in us, but more deeply he stirred our hunger to live united under God.
00:13:50.000 He told us to stop and think, to use common sense to grow up and pitch in.
00:13:55.000 He asked us to hear the words that God wrote on our hearts.
00:14:02.000 This is not a message of comfort or safety or peace.
00:14:05.000 It's a message of love, a love of God's will.
00:14:09.000 Charlie's life was anchored by that love.
00:14:11.000 Every day he left his home, the comfort of it, his wife, his children to face criticism and threats and angry mobs, and ultimately death.
00:14:20.000 He loved God more than he loved safety or applause or even his own life.
00:14:26.000 That's because the last 31 years weren't his career.
00:14:29.000 They were his calling.
00:14:30.000 Charlie's legacy is this.
00:14:35.000 He showed us how to be better people.
00:14:36.000 He gave voice to truth, and he followed God's will.
00:14:40.000 Later on, Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke of Charlie's willingness and his eagerness to talk with those who disagree with him, and how his faith gave him the power and the motivation to build a movement way beyond himself.
00:14:55.000 Check out Marco Rubio.
00:14:57.000 His deep belief that we were all created, every single one of us, before the beginning of time by the hands of the God of the universe, an all-powerful God, who loved us and created us for the purpose of living with him in eternity.
00:15:12.000 But then sin entered the world and separated us from our Creator.
00:15:16.000 And so God took on the form of a man and came down and lived among us.
00:15:21.000 And he suffered like men, and he died like a man.
00:15:25.000 But on the third day he rose, unlike any mortal man.
00:15:30.000 And then to prove any doubters wrong, he ate with his disciples so they could see and they touched his wounds.
00:15:40.000 He didn't rise as a ghost or as a spirit, but his flesh.
00:15:48.000 And when he returns, because he took on that death, because he carried that cross, we were freed from the sin that separated us from him.
00:15:56.000 And when he returns, there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and we will all be together, and we are going to have a great reunion there again with Charlie and all the people we love.
00:16:07.000 Thank you and God bless you.
00:16:10.000 I also saw so much of this firsthand.
00:16:14.000 Going onto campuses with Charlie, going into very hostile territory where, as I mentioned in my speech, even the police told us they couldn't guarantee our safety.
00:16:24.000 I told some of those stories yesterday.
00:16:29.000 Check this out.
00:16:30.000 At Michigan State University, five minutes before we were supposed to go on stage, the state police told us, and I quote, we can no longer guarantee your safety.
00:16:43.000 Because the left-wing activists, they were going crazy.
00:16:47.000 It was rough.
00:16:49.000 That sounded like a great reason to pack it up and head out.
00:16:54.000 But it was one of the many times that I would agree with Charlie, who said, no way, we're going out there anyway.
00:17:03.000 Thank you.
00:17:11.000 At one of the last events of the 2024 campaign at Arizona State, some lunatic called it a threat to try to keep us from going on the stage.
00:17:20.000 Again, we went out there anyway, without fear.
00:17:25.000 Charlie led the way.
00:17:27.000 His message was clear then and his message is clear now.
00:17:32.000 We won't back down.
00:17:37.000 We won't be intimidated.
00:17:44.000 The Bible says over a hundred times in the pages of scripture, "Do not be afraid." And a hundred thousand people here today are a signal to the World.
00:18:01.000 Our message of faith.
00:18:03.000 family and country will not be silenced.
00:18:08.000 APPLAUSE Hopefully, hopefully we have the whole clip about me calling out DJ today.
00:18:18.000 I had to do a little ad lib impromptu.
00:18:20.000 I figured in a room that was uh pretty mournful, having a little bit of fun with that is in there.
00:18:25.000 So I want to try to get that clip in here as well.
00:18:27.000 Um, and at his core, Charlie was guided by his Christian faith.
00:18:34.000 And to say Charlie knew more about the Bible than me, as I said in my speech, is an understatement.
00:18:41.000 That's like saying, well, actually, let me just play the tape.
00:18:45.000 We had some fun with this one too.
00:18:49.000 To say Charlie knew more about the Bible than me is an understatement, folks.
00:18:54.000 It's like saying Donald Trump knows more about being president than Hillary Clinton or Kamala Harris.
00:19:06.000 No kidding.
00:19:12.000 We don't win, guys, in 2024 without turning point.
00:19:16.000 And Charlie delivering the youth vote.
00:19:18.000 It doesn't happen.
00:19:20.000 So the work they did was so critical in every swing state.
00:19:24.000 Their work got the message out, whether through knocking on doors, through on campus events, or even through memes.
00:19:31.000 Something I may know a thing or two about, as I discussed again yesterday.
00:19:35.000 So maybe this is the good chance to play that clip.
00:19:40.000 Sorry, I had to go, had to go off script for this one.
00:19:42.000 Uh, even my father and Dana White, they're laughing about it.
00:19:45.000 So I guess it went pretty viral, so couldn't have been too much of fail.
00:19:48.000 Maybe not appropriate, but appropriate's not really my thing, but I think everyone in that room probably appreciated uh a little bit of levity.
00:19:56.000 Let me know what you think.
00:19:57.000 Who's seen me on social media knows I'm far more likely to crack a joke or get myself in trouble for hosting some grossly inappropriate memes than I am to shed a tear.
00:20:09.000 I know this because I've even gotten the call from that guy a couple times.
00:20:13.000 You know, done.
00:20:15.000 Done.
00:20:18.000 You're getting a little aggressive on social media, Don.
00:20:22.000 Relax.
00:20:24.000 Thank you.
00:20:36.000 Charlie's legacy must be that when they took his life, a million more Charlies stepped up to fill the void.
00:20:43.000 His message was clear back when I was back when I first met him, and his message is even clearer now.
00:20:50.000 We can never ever back down.
00:20:52.000 We can never surrender, and we can never lose sight of our mission.
00:20:58.000 At Arizona State, some lunatic called in a threat to try to keep us from going on the stage.
00:21:03.000 Again, we went out there anyway, without fear.
00:21:08.000 Charlie led the way.
00:21:10.000 His message was clear then, and his message is clear now.
00:21:15.000 We won't back down.
00:21:19.000 We won't be intimidated.
00:21:26.000 And one of the most important points yesterday, I think, was made by Erica Kirk, who showed so much courage.
00:21:37.000 That's not easy, guys.
00:21:38.000 It's not easy to do it.
00:21:39.000 If you didn't just lose your husband, the father of your two young kids 11 days ago.
00:21:44.000 No, it was hard no matter what.
00:21:46.000 But she showed a lot of courage, just even being able to get up there.
00:21:49.000 Because after Charlie's assassination, we didn't see violence.
00:21:54.000 We didn't see rioting.
00:21:56.000 We saw revival.
00:21:58.000 We saw people go to church.
00:22:00.000 We saw turning point chapters popping up all over the place.
00:22:03.000 And as I posted on X, that is the biggest fact-check true I've ever seen.
00:22:09.000 Most of all, God's mercy and God's love have been real revealed to me these past 10 days.
00:22:15.000 After Charlie's assassination, we didn't see violence.
00:22:22.000 We didn't see rioting.
00:22:24.000 We didn't see revolution.
00:22:40.000 Instead, we saw what my husband always prayed he would see in this country.
00:22:45.000 We saw revival.
00:22:52.000 That sort of all tells you everything you need to know, right?
00:22:55.000 Things aren't being burnt down.
00:22:58.000 We're not destroying property.
00:22:59.000 There's no looting.
00:23:01.000 We're seeing a new American revival happening right before our very eyes.
00:23:06.000 That's a big deal, guys.
00:23:07.000 That's exactly what we need.
00:23:08.000 People are finally waking up across the board.
00:23:12.000 Because as my father said, Charlie's murder was not just an attack on one man or one movement.
00:23:20.000 It was an attack on our entire nation.
00:23:23.000 I actually believe it was attack on our entire civilization.
00:23:26.000 Check out DJT on Charlie here.
00:23:28.000 Every single American should take a long hard look at the twisted soul and dark spirit of anyone who would want to kill a young man as good as Charlie to kill anybody, but to kill a man like this, he didn't deserve this.
00:23:44.000 He didn't deserve this.
00:23:45.000 Our country didn't deserve this.
00:23:47.000 And anyone who would make excuses for it are just out of their mind.
00:23:54.000 Charlie's murder was not just an attack on one man or one movement.
00:24:00.000 It was an attack on our entire nation.
00:24:03.000 That was a horrible attack on the United States of America.
00:24:08.000 It was an assault on our most sacred liberties and God given rights.
00:24:12.000 The gun was pointed at him, but the bullet was aimed at all of us.
00:24:16.000 That bullet was aimed at every one of us.
00:24:19.000 Indeed, Charlie was killed for expressing the very ideas that virtually everyone in this arena and most other places throughout our country deeply believed in.
00:24:30.000 But the assassin failed in his quest because Charlie's message has not been silenced.
00:24:36.000 now is bigger and better and stronger than ever before and it's not even close this isn't just about singing kumbaya it's about understanding the moment that we're in and understanding what exactly we are up against because i think we've lost sight of that That's why probably got in trouble.
00:24:59.000 Probably by some people.
00:25:00.000 I guess some people understood it, but when I said, you know, watch the video of Charlie getting shot.
00:25:05.000 I can't do that.
00:25:06.000 It's terrible.
00:25:06.000 It's like, no, no, no.
00:25:07.000 You have to.
00:25:08.000 And it is brutal and it is gruesome.
00:25:11.000 But you have to understand exactly what we are up against.
00:25:15.000 Because it is not the same as you and I in a disagreement.
00:25:18.000 It's sick.
00:25:19.000 It's deranged, and it's evil.
00:25:21.000 And actually standing up for this country and the values that make this nation so great.
00:25:27.000 That's a big deal.
00:25:28.000 Stephen Miller did not hold back.
00:25:31.000 He was fire.
00:25:33.000 Sending a message to the extreme left that they have no idea the dragons they have awakened.
00:25:39.000 Check this out.
00:25:43.000 Hello, turning point.
00:25:45.000 Hello, Patriots.
00:25:50.000 Hello to our fearless president Donald J. Trump.
00:25:58.000 And hello to millions of Americans all across this land who are gathered in sadness and sorrow to mourn Charlie Kirk, but also to dedicate ourselves to finishing his mission and achieving victory in his name.
00:26:23.000 Thank you.
00:26:30.000 The day that Charlie died.
00:26:36.000 But those tears have been turned into fire in our hearts.
00:26:43.000 And that fire burns with a righteous fury that our enemies cannot comprehend or understand.
00:26:53.000 When I see Erica and her strength and her courage, I am reminded of a famous expression.
00:27:01.000 The storm whispers to the warrior, the storm whispers to the warrior, that you cannot withstand my strength.
00:27:12.000 And the warrior whispers back, I am the storm.
00:27:17.000 Erica is the storm.
00:27:22.000 We are the storm.
00:27:24.000 And our enemies cannot comprehend our strength, our determination, our resolve, our passion.
00:27:34.000 Our lineage and our legacy hails back to Athens, to Rome, to Philadelphia, to Monticello.
00:27:43.000 Our ancestors built the cities.
00:27:46.000 They produced the art and architecture.
00:27:49.000 They built the industry.
00:27:52.000 Erica stands on the shoulders of thousands of years of warriors, of women who raised up families, raised up cities, raised up industry, raised up civilization, who pulled us out of the caves and the darkness into the light.
00:28:10.000 The light will defeat the dark.
00:28:13.000 We will prevail over the forces of wickedness and evil.
00:28:18.000 They cannot imagine what they have awakened.
00:28:22.000 They cannot conceive of the army that they have arisen in all of us.
00:28:29.000 Because we stand for what is good, what is virtuous, what is noble.
00:28:34.000 And to those trying to incite violence against us, those trying to foment hatred against us, what do you have?
00:28:43.000 You have nothing.
00:28:44.000 You are nothing.
00:28:46.000 You are wickedness, you are jealousy, you are envy, you are hatred.
00:28:51.000 You are nothing.
00:28:53.000 You can build nothing, you can produce nothing.
00:28:56.000 You can create nothing.
00:28:59.000 We are the ones who build.
00:29:01.000 We are the ones who create.
00:29:03.000 We are the ones who lift up humanity.
00:29:07.000 You thought you could kill Charlie Kirk?
00:29:11.000 You have made him immortal.
00:29:14.000 You have immortalized Charlie Kirk.
00:29:16.000 And now millions will carry on his legacy.
00:29:21.000 And we will devote the rest of our lives to finishing the causes for which Charlie gave his last measure of devotion.
00:29:33.000 You cannot defeat us, you cannot slow us, you cannot stop us, you cannot deter us.
00:29:38.000 We will carry Charlie and Erica in our heart every single day and fight that much harder because of what you did to us.
00:29:48.000 You have no idea, the dragon you have awakened.
00:29:52.000 You have no idea how determined we will be to save this civilization, to save the West, to save this republic.
00:30:03.000 Because our children are strong, and our grandchildren will be strong, and our children's children's children will be strong.
00:30:11.000 And what will you leave behind?
00:30:14.000 Nothing, nothing.
00:30:16.000 To our enemies, you have nothing to give, you have nothing to offer, you have nothing to share but bitterness.
00:30:22.000 We have beauty, we have light, we have goodness, we have determination, we have vision, we have strength.
00:30:29.000 We built the world that we inhabit now, generation by generation, and we will defend this world.
00:30:37.000 We will defend goodness, we will defend light, we will defend virtue.
00:30:41.000 You cannot terrify us, you cannot frighten us, you cannot threaten us, because we are on the side of goodness, we are on the side of God.
00:30:51.000 And to my friend Charlie, to my brother Charlie, I know you are looking at us right now.
00:31:00.000 I know you're watching Erica right now.
00:31:02.000 I know you're watching your children right now.
00:31:05.000 And I promise you, my friend, I promise you, my brother.
00:31:10.000 We will prove worthy of your sacrifice.
00:31:14.000 We will prove worthy of your time on earth.
00:31:18.000 We will make you proud.
00:31:21.000 We will finish the job.
00:31:23.000 We will defeat the forces of darkness and evil, and we will stand every day for what is true, what is beautiful, what is good, and we will achieve for our children, for our families, for our civilization, and for every patriot who stands with us.
00:31:43.000 God bless you.
00:31:45.000 God bless Turning Point.
00:31:46.000 God bless Erica.
00:31:48.000 God bless the Kirk family.
00:31:50.000 God bless our heroes.
00:31:52.000 And God bless the United States of America.
00:31:55.000 Thank you.
00:31:59.000 I don't want to hear any BS about both sides.
00:32:03.000 It's not both sides, guys.
00:32:04.000 It's one side.
00:32:06.000 One side wants to save America and the other side wants to apologize for America.
00:32:11.000 One side wants to burn down your street.
00:32:14.000 Our side wants to rebuild it.
00:32:16.000 That's a fundamental difference, guys.
00:32:18.000 We got to make sure we understand that.
00:32:20.000 One side wants to have a debate and dialogue.
00:32:23.000 The other side wants to shut it down with threats of violence.
00:32:27.000 As JD closed out his remarks yesterday, may our Heavenly Father give us the courage to live as Charlie lived.
00:32:35.000 That is what we must do for Charlie.
00:32:38.000 You ran a good race, my friend.
00:32:40.000 We've got it from here.
00:32:42.000 So guys, we've got it from here.
00:32:45.000 But that doesn't happen by sitting on your butts.
00:32:48.000 We have to act.
00:32:49.000 We have to be out there.
00:32:51.000 We have to stay engaged.
00:32:52.000 We have to understand what's at stake.
00:32:54.000 And we must never, ever, ever give up.
00:32:58.000 So guys, thanks so much for joining us.
00:33:00.000 Uh it's really all of you who are the engine behind all of this and this movement.
