In the wake of every terrorist attack, our media and politicians bend over backwards to make the extraordinary claim that Islamism has nothing to do with Islam. The answer is a mixture of things, of course, but the central reason is easy to understand if you think about it logically: to avoid offending morons, let s not talk about people and talk about apples instead.

00:00:00.000 When you let arrow truffle bubbles melt, everything takes on a creamy, delicious, chocolatey glow.
00:00:06.320 Like that pile of laundry. You didn't forget to fold it.
00:00:09.220 Nah, it's a new trend. Wrinkled chic.
00:00:12.080 Feel the arrow bubbles melt. It's mind-bubbling.
00:00:15.260 Why they'll never be honest about Islamist violence. 1.00
00:00:22.800 Have you ever wondered why in the wake of every Islamist terrorist attack, 0.91
00:00:26.500 our media and politicians bend over backwards to make the extraordinary claim that Islamism has nothing to do with Islam?
00:00:32.980 The answer is a mixture of things, of course, but the central reason is easy to understand if you think about it logically. 0.99
00:00:39.020 To avoid offending morons, let's not talk about people and talk about apples instead. 0.73
00:00:43.660 As you know, there are red apples, green apples, and yellow apples. 0.99
00:00:46.640 Let's imagine for a second that a small percentage of green apples are poisonous and can injure and kill people.
00:00:52.000 It's difficult to distinguish the toxic green apples from the other green apples,
00:00:55.360 which are perfectly peaceful, law-abiding, and so forth.
00:00:58.380 Now imagine that you're the public health authority whose job it is to protect the public.
00:01:03.000 If your concern is solving the problem of the small minority of toxic green apples,
00:01:07.060 you would immediately do a number of things.
00:01:09.640 You might devote significant resources to identifying the toxic green apples
00:01:13.460 and removing them from the supermarket shelves.
00:01:15.920 You might commission thorough research into how and where the toxic green apples are grown.
00:01:19.920 You might crack down very, very hard on anyone who knowingly participates in growing or distributing such apples.
00:01:27.140 You might even say that while you are dealing with the problem of deaths caused by toxic green apples,
00:01:32.200 bringing more green apples into the country is liable to worsen the public health crisis
00:01:36.140 until suitable measures are identified which allow you to separate the bad green apples from the good ones.
00:01:41.940 This is how you would act if your primary concern was the safety of the public.
00:01:45.880 But what if you, as the public health authority, had spent the preceding decades claiming that all apples are the same?
00:01:52.460 That to suggest that a small minority of green apples are potentially toxic is fear-mongering and green-o-phobic?
00:01:58.560 What if you'd been openly encouraging unfiltered importation of green apples
00:02:02.600 and actively resisted calls to thoroughly check whether such apples are in fact digestible for your citizens?
00:02:08.360 What if your mantra for the last 20 years had been that anyone who believes
00:02:12.100 there may be significant variations between the toxicity of different types of apples
00:02:15.960 is a bigger who must be suppressed for fear of emboldening the far right?
00:02:20.280 If you were in fact responsible for the fact that people were now being killed on the streets of your country
00:02:24.580 by the small minority of toxic green apples,
00:02:27.540 would you not do everything in your power to explain that the diversity of apples is our greatest strength?
00:02:32.820 That the toxicity of green apples has nothing to do with them being green?
00:02:35.940 That any doctor who suggests that the government should carefully regulate the importation of green apples specifically
00:02:41.680 is a racist?
00:02:43.200 The central premise of our elite consensus is that we must continue to pretend that all apples are the same,
00:02:49.020 no matter how many people pay for this lie with their lives.
00:02:55.220 The news doesn't just tell you what's happening.
00:02:57.880 It so often tells you what to think is happening.
00:03:00.620 And these days, the biggest red flag isn't what's said, it's what gets left out.
00:03:04.840 That's why I use Ground News.
00:03:07.140 It's the only site and app that compares coverage from across the political spectrum
00:03:11.320 and highlights which stories are being ignored entirely.
00:03:15.100 See for yourself at ground.news slash trigonometry.
00:03:18.380 Their blind spot feed is one of my favorite features.
00:03:21.220 It surfaces around 20 stories a day that are being overlooked by either the left or the right.
00:03:26.180 It's a simple but powerful way to track media bias in real time.
00:03:29.780 Like this, NIH scientists recently published a declaration criticizing Trump's cuts to public health research.
00:03:37.040 That's a major move.
00:03:38.420 And yet, only 2% of the coverage came from right-leaning outlets.
00:03:43.080 A new study found that 2024 saw the most armed conflicts globally since 1946.
00:03:48.760 A staggering statistic.
00:03:50.420 But you would have missed it if you'd only read left-wing news sources.
00:03:53.420 Ground News gives you the full picture.
00:03:55.400 Headlines, ownership, bias ratings, and context.
00:03:58.220 So you can actually understand what's going on, not just react to what you're told.
00:04:02.860 Head to ground.news slash trigonometry for 40% off their unlimited vantage plan.
00:04:08.880 The same one we use.
00:04:10.220 And start thinking for yourself.
