00:00:00.000 You know, TMZ comes out and everybody around the world finds out when the phone alert,
00:00:10.040 Charlie Kirk is dead, right?
00:00:12.020 Your phone is blown up.
00:00:13.280 No matter where you are, your phone is blown up with text messages saying Charlie Kirk
00:00:17.240 is dead.
00:00:18.800 This is Harvey who runs TMZ.
00:00:22.340 It's a place known.
00:00:23.380 I've been inside that place.
00:00:24.720 It's a place that's known for having cameras everywhere.
00:00:27.580 That's what you're known for.
00:00:30.560 You're talking live all the time, right?
00:00:33.120 That's what TMZ is known for.
00:00:35.040 You have cameras everywhere.
00:00:36.640 That's your business model.
00:00:38.140 That's how you blew up.
00:00:39.100 I was with you.
00:00:39.580 In every corner of every room, they capture every reaction.
00:00:42.360 You remember that.
00:00:43.080 Yep.
00:00:43.360 There's cameras everywhere.
00:00:44.920 Yep.
00:00:45.240 So perfect.
00:00:46.360 If you're telling me there's cameras everywhere and then this is how they react, employees
00:00:51.140 of TMZ, when the announcement is made that Charlie Kirk has died and then listen to his
00:00:56.560 explanation afterwards.
00:00:59.060 Go ahead, Rob.
00:01:02.400 That's the announcement.
00:01:03.440 Exact second it was announced.
00:01:05.380 Go to.
00:01:06.560 We're live streaming.
00:01:08.040 Oh, Rob, I don't want you to show that.
00:01:09.260 I actually want you to show the whole thing.
00:01:11.360 There's another clip that I have that I posted in the notes, Rob.
00:01:14.220 I don't know if you see that one or not.
00:01:15.460 Is this the one, Pat?
00:01:16.200 The one from Instagram.
00:01:17.160 Play that one because I want people to see 10 seconds prior to that to see how it goes.
00:01:22.380 Watch this.
00:01:22.960 Guess is we're going to see an image of this guy.
00:01:26.940 There's just live streaming.
00:01:28.560 Possibly in the next 20 minutes.
00:01:30.320 Watch this.
00:01:30.340 The news conference is scheduled for 3 o'clock in Utah time, which is 2 o'clock Pacific, 5 o'clock
00:01:39.920 Eastern.
00:01:41.600 Janet, go. 1.00
00:01:43.640 The announcement is made.
00:01:44.900 They realize how embarrassing this is.
00:01:49.660 His partner is going to the back to tell everybody to be quiet.
00:01:53.700 Yeah, somebody go back.
00:01:56.800 Look.
00:01:57.420 Trump just posted that Charlie Kirk is dead.
00:02:01.200 Yeah, you're right, Pat.
00:02:01.820 He went to the back. 0.96
00:02:02.520 He went to shut the hell up. 0.89
00:02:03.560 Yeah, yeah.
00:02:03.920 So now watch.
00:02:04.640 What did Trump say?
00:02:06.020 Okay, forget about this, Rob.
00:02:07.220 Now go to.
00:02:09.000 So the second.
00:02:10.960 So then what do they do?
00:02:13.020 Can you tell me exactly at this time that there was another crisis that took place in
00:02:17.760 California for us to say that we were reacting to?
00:02:20.400 They make the argument that they're reacting to.
00:02:23.600 Now you, Rob.
00:02:24.280 I'm saying that's what they did.
00:02:25.740 So they make the argument later on.
00:02:27.860 Do you have the video of them saying what they were reacting to?
00:02:30.620 Yeah, him and the producer guy.
00:02:32.140 Yeah.
00:02:32.380 And so this is when they're looking at it.
00:02:33.980 Watch this, your folks.
00:02:34.860 We're live streaming all day during this tragedy when something happened in our office.
00:02:43.620 As we were reporting the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there were some people in the back
00:02:52.960 room away from our news desk here who were watching a car chase and they were laughing.
00:03:00.240 They were clapping and you could hear it out here.
00:03:04.320 And we want to make a couple of things clear.
00:03:09.560 One is that I know these people and they were not laughing.
00:03:15.920 Yeah.
00:03:16.160 They were not reacting that way about Charlie Kirk's assassination.
00:03:20.780 Yeah.
00:03:21.000 They were not.
00:03:21.560 They would not work here.
00:03:22.620 All right.
00:03:23.080 If they did.
00:03:24.020 And that being said, we acknowledge that it was horrible timing.
00:03:28.780 And for that, we are sorry.
00:03:30.200 We apologize.
00:03:31.460 We apologize.
00:03:32.360 We got caught.
00:03:32.880 You had to hear that.
00:03:34.080 And I get why if you're watching the stream, you may have felt that that's what the laughter
00:03:38.460 was about.
00:03:39.180 Oh, man.
00:03:39.440 We assure you it was not about that.
00:03:41.020 When the laughter was cheering, dude.
00:03:42.680 But it was horrible timing.
00:03:44.600 Okay.
00:03:44.780 And by the way, I get it, too.
00:03:45.980 Do you believe them?
00:03:46.440 Do you believe them?
00:03:47.860 Absolutely.
00:03:48.140 Wait a minute.
00:03:48.720 Wait a minute.
00:03:49.120 So they're saying a car chase.
00:03:50.520 Okay.
00:03:50.780 This is the car chase.
00:03:51.760 Let's just show you.
00:03:52.800 And you tell me if you believe them.
00:03:53.900 Go ahead, Rob.
00:03:54.480 Yeah, let's find it.
00:03:55.220 Tell me if this is the kind of a car chase that you would celebrate.
00:04:00.140 Yeah.
00:04:00.360 And scream. 1.00
00:04:01.740 Tell me if it's that euphoric.
00:04:04.740 Go ahead, Rob.
00:04:05.540 We're showing you right there on the banner below.
00:04:07.180 You can see it started in Temple City.
00:04:09.720 And we saw that.
00:04:11.820 Go ahead, Phil.
00:04:12.300 Well, I wanted to let you know that President Trump has said Charlie Kirk has died.
00:04:16.680 So that is the breaking news that we are likely about to have with ABC News.
00:04:22.800 He was shot in Utah at a college there.
00:04:26.840 We've been talking about that throughout the afternoon here.
00:04:28.900 Okay, so he's not lying.
00:04:32.220 They are watching a car chase.
00:04:35.360 And they are reacting to a car chase because the announcer on the car chase said that Charlie
00:04:40.140 Kirk is dead.
00:04:40.840 Thank you.
00:04:41.400 So Harvey is essentially in his mind, well, we're not lying.
00:04:45.620 Go back 20 seconds again, Rob, and watch what happens.
00:04:48.640 Go back a little bit more.
00:04:49.580 Go, go, go, go, go, go right there.
00:04:51.180 Watch what the announcer said.
00:04:52.600 Here's the car chase that they're talking about.
00:04:54.780 Temple City.
00:04:55.440 Go ahead.
00:04:56.400 President Trump has said Charlie Kirk has died.
00:04:59.800 So that is the breaking news that we are likely about to have with ABC News.
00:05:05.200 So he was shot in Utah.
00:05:06.960 So they're watching the car chase.
00:05:08.640 The announcer announces Charlie Kirk's dead.
00:05:11.060 And it seems like in all likelihood that's when they cheer.
00:05:14.040 You tell me.
00:05:14.640 There's nothing excitable going on there.
00:05:16.440 That's second to car chase.
00:05:17.320 This isn't O.J. Simpson in the white Bronco.
00:05:19.020 Exactly, exactly.
00:05:19.880 Pat, that, I'm sorry. 0.91
00:05:22.440 First of all, disgusting of who they are.
00:05:25.560 What TMZ, like somebody, an ex-employee's claims, these are claims all over that I saw
00:05:30.840 an ex, that the newsroom was filled with hateful, angry, progressive energy.
00:05:35.940 And he said it would, without question, laugh at Charlie Kirk getting shot.
00:05:40.680 Shame on them. 0.73
00:05:41.600 Shame on them for lying. 1.00
00:05:43.180 Shame, like, have the balls to just tell the truth. 1.00
00:05:46.640 You know what, guys? 1.00
00:05:47.520 We're freaking leftists.
00:05:48.720 We're progressive. 0.75
00:05:49.600 You know what?
00:05:49.980 Charlie is a voice that says stuff that we don't like. 0.99
00:05:52.840 We are happy that he was shot in the freaking neck in front of his family. 0.98
00:05:56.780 I don't know if it's the entire organization. 0.99
00:06:00.040 Let me tell you.
00:06:00.860 No, I'm saying what this guy's saying is filled with hateful, angry progressives.
00:06:04.240 And I believe that.
00:06:05.260 Yes.
00:06:05.780 That I believe.
00:06:06.580 This is the guy, Pat.
00:06:07.420 No, no, I believe that that exists, that those types of people are in there.
00:06:13.340 This is the question I want to ask all of you guys.
00:06:15.380 Do you believe Harvey's happy that Charlie Kirk is dead?
00:06:18.520 I don't believe so.
00:06:19.520 I don't think that that's his personality.
00:06:20.480 Do you believe the guy to the right believe he's happy Charlie Kirk is dead?
00:06:24.480 I don't believe that.
00:06:25.300 I don't think those two guys.
00:06:25.800 I think the guy on the right is actually fairly reasonable.
00:06:29.280 They're probably both on the left, but I don't think they're happy Charlie Kirk is dead.
00:06:33.660 The question I want to ask you is the following.
00:06:35.280 Here's the question I want to ask you, okay?
00:06:37.420 You said the price of freedom of speech is freedom of speech.
00:06:41.080 That's right.
00:06:41.480 Okay, fair.
00:06:44.420 We're not happy by the way those employees reacted.
00:06:47.820 They're celebrating.
00:06:48.900 These guys are not telling the truth.
00:06:51.020 Harvey, respectfully, you're not telling the truth.
00:06:54.080 You're telling the truth that they reacted to a car chase.
00:06:59.020 Yes, but they reacted to what the announcer on the car chase said, not the actual car chase.
00:07:02.940 There was nothing exciting happening at the same exact second, the same exact minute,
00:07:07.100 to have that kind of a euphoric reaction, okay?
00:07:10.060 That's absolutely embarrassing.
00:07:12.400 If you have all the cameras all over the place, that's your business model.
00:07:16.540 Show the camera footage.
00:07:17.720 You have it.
00:07:18.780 What were they reacting to?
00:07:20.440 You have the camera footage in the back.
00:07:22.380 Everywhere in that facility has cameras.
00:07:24.660 Number two, what should happen to those people in the back that were celebrating?
00:07:28.720 You're operating the company.
00:07:30.380 You find out somebody is celebrating that.
00:07:32.300 What should happen to those people?
00:07:33.440 Well, first of all, that behavior is despicable.
00:07:36.280 Freedom of speech is a man coming to a podium expressing his views, and you don't like it.
00:07:42.440 Omar going with a reporter expressing her views, and we don't like it.
00:07:46.780 And there's consequences.
00:07:47.800 You could get unelected.
00:07:48.780 There's a lot of things that could happen.
00:07:50.480 That is despicable behavior.
00:07:52.600 And that kind of thing, you're employed by somebody, and there are standards of behavior.
00:07:57.160 There is freedom of speech at value attainment, just like there is at every company. 0.94
00:08:03.280 Pat, I hate you. 0.99
00:08:04.240 I don't like working for you, and I think you're a horrible leader. 1.00
00:08:09.160 And guess what? 0.96
00:08:09.780 You know what that means?
00:08:10.800 You're fired.
00:08:12.000 We can say, okay, well, I'm sorry that you have that opinion.
00:08:15.600 That's pretty despicable behavior, and that's a despicable opinion.
00:08:19.200 So guess what?
00:08:19.760 You're fired.
00:08:20.300 You don't have to work here.
00:08:20.980 Well, what should happen here?
00:08:21.620 I think he should do it.
00:08:22.800 I think there's an irony here.
00:08:24.100 My take on this, there's an irony.
00:08:26.120 Harvey has made his career on busting celebrities that lie when they're arrested, and then this
00:08:31.420 video, that video, this person, that person, and then they bust them.
00:08:35.000 They go, no, no, no.
00:08:35.780 What a great point.
00:08:36.120 Here's what really happened.
00:08:37.160 That's right.
00:08:37.660 And now Harvey's in the middle of it, right there, busted, and sitting there in front of
00:08:42.420 the spotlight, the same way he puts celebrities and other people in front of the spotlight,
00:08:46.280 and would say, that's not what happened.
00:08:47.900 TMZ got you.
00:08:49.040 We paid an informant.
00:08:50.100 We got this.
00:08:50.600 And so this is, he is not taking a leadership position in his company.
00:08:56.100 That's the problem.
00:08:56.920 Against the despicable behavior.
00:08:58.960 But here's the question.
00:09:00.340 The problem to me here is the way he handled it.
00:09:05.500 That's the only problem I have, because this is how MSNBC handled it.
00:09:08.960 We're not the ones that wakes up in the morning saying MSNBC makes all the right decisions
00:09:12.340 in the world with the values and principles they stand for.
00:09:15.180 No problem.
00:09:15.560 Watch what happened here.
00:09:16.840 Go ahead, Rob.
00:09:18.320 But following up with what was just said, he's been one of the most divisive, especially
00:09:22.860 divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or
00:09:29.840 sort of aimed at certain groups.
00:09:31.420 And I always go back to hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful
00:09:39.160 actions.
00:09:40.260 What happened at MSNBC afterwards?
00:09:42.080 What did they do to that guy?
00:09:43.320 He got fired.
00:09:43.980 So, you can love or hate MSNBC.
00:09:48.400 What did MSNBC say?
00:09:50.340 Hate doesn't, is not allowed in our company.
00:09:55.100 MSNBC fires Matthew Dowd after Charlie Crook's shooting comments reports say, TMZ, Harvey,
00:10:01.080 you have to make this good.
00:10:03.160 I'm one that actually watched some of the stuff that you've done over the years and it's actually
00:10:07.180 good.
00:10:08.080 I agree.
00:10:08.920 For you to defend and lie about what they reacted to, you lost so much credibility with
00:10:15.400 me.
00:10:16.280 So much credibility with me for you to behave that way.
00:10:19.820 This is not the right type of way to behave.
00:10:22.180 You know your guy in the back was celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk.
00:10:25.260 Is that what the company represents?
00:10:26.620 Friends, if you fully claim your lady in the back that was screaming or the employees that
00:10:32.640 were screaming.
00:10:33.300 Sounded like a few of them.
00:10:34.640 Show the videos.
00:10:35.360 I want to see them.
00:10:36.260 I want to see the videos of what happened in the back.
00:10:38.260 But you're seeing some of this stuff.
00:10:39.720 And here's a challenge.
00:10:41.500 This obviously raises your temperature.
00:10:43.920 This obviously upsets you.
00:10:45.240 This obviously gets you to say, you got to be kidding me.
00:10:47.840 If you at all at this point are feeling angry and you relate to guys like Vinny, when we
00:10:55.040 call Vinny or Tom calls Vinny the angry Patriot, and that stuck since that day till today, and
00:11:01.680 you're in that community as well, you may want to go to vtmerge.com and place an order
00:11:06.260 on angry Patriot.
00:11:07.100 We're going to put the link below, Rob, on the angry Patriot, the hats, the shirts.
00:11:10.840 There's a bunch of gear there.
