00:00:00.000 New York mayor, Mamdani.
00:00:01.680 I'm going to go to the New York mayor situation, and I'm going to come back to the financial stuff.
00:00:05.540 So this guy, this is getting very interesting here, to the point where Ackman, Bill Ackman, $10 billion guy,
00:00:12.080 backs Adams, Mayor Adams, to stop socialist Mamdani and calls on Cuomo to drop out.
00:00:18.060 Here's his tweet.
00:00:19.000 In summary, in a light of inability to add a new name to the ballot and the low probability of success of a write-off in campaign,
00:00:25.100 the only candidate with a credible chance to beat Mamdani are Cuomo and Adams.
00:00:30.620 I met with Adams and Cuomo to discuss the upcoming election, and I spent an hour or so with each of them.
00:00:37.980 In short, my takeaway is that Adams can win the upcoming election
00:00:42.060 and that the governor should step aside to maximize Adams' probability of success.
00:00:47.700 I say this while having a high regard for Andrew Cuomo and his contribution to New York State,
00:00:52.760 but it was abundantly clear in his body language, his subdued energy, and his proposals to beat Mamdani that he is not up for the fight.
00:01:02.240 Bill Ackman is becoming a heavy, heavy, he's always been, but he's becoming at the highest level right now,
00:01:08.400 a power player on what types of things they're doing when it comes down to stuff like this.
00:01:12.400 And while this is going on, NYPD retirement reportedly hits historic high,
00:01:19.380 and unions says Mamdani could make it even worse.
00:01:24.000 So cops are sitting there saying, what the hell am I being a cop in New York City for,
00:01:29.700 especially when a guy like this is about to come right behind us and become the mayor?
00:01:34.880 The New York Police Department is experiencing a high, historic high retirement with 1,555 officers filing for retirement.
00:01:43.820 Ready?
00:01:44.380 This week, folks.
00:01:46.400 This week.
00:01:47.640 That's a 48% increase from last year and a 65% increase from a decade ago, which was 941.
00:01:54.460 According to data provided to the New York Post by the PBA, union leaders reported to the Post that this level of retirement in the first half of the year is unprecedented in New York history.
00:02:06.760 Democratic Socialist Mamdani's mayoral candidacy is seen as exasperating the NYPD's staff crisis.
00:02:12.940 With the past statements on ex-calling the NYPD wicked and corrupt and advocating to defund it, dismantle it, end the cycle of violence,
00:02:19.600 PBA President Patrick Hendry stated that the city cannot afford a leader who ignores the staffing crisis or pushes the NYPD backward.
00:02:30.500 Tom, thoughts?
00:02:31.820 So what's really interesting going on right now is what's behind the scenes.
00:02:37.180 Everybody that is on the capitalist side and the stability side are freaking out, and industries are getting behind them.
00:02:48.040 Check this out, what just happened over the weekend.
00:02:50.140 Over 4th of July, Eric Adams was going party to party to party up and down the Hamptons in Long Island.
00:02:58.820 But he wasn't there having a beer and clinking glasses.
00:03:02.140 He was there because they're concerned.
00:03:04.660 And you've got the real estate investors who are concerned about, what is a real estate investor concerned about, Vinny?
00:03:12.680 Enough people to rent your building or businesses to rent your building if it's commercial.
00:03:16.800 And if the economy gets screwed up, there's no one to rent your building.
00:03:21.020 And so they don't want that.
00:03:22.680 And during his tenure, Eric Adams made friends with developers.
00:03:27.100 And he had this thing called the City of Yes program.
00:03:30.160 So you know what he was doing?
00:03:32.180 Trying to make permitting and building easier and quicker.
00:03:36.220 Who is not doing that?
00:03:37.720 California, right?
00:03:38.900 But he was out there trying to be the City of Yes.
00:03:40.900 So the City of Yes initiative, and they greenlit, apparently, 80,000 new homes in New York.
00:03:47.740 Now, that's going to be a different type of buildings and things like that because they don't have any property.
00:03:51.540 It's how you rebuild on what's already there.
00:03:55.180 There's Castamatidis, Fischel, Mark Holliday.
00:03:59.640 All these folks are out there saying two things.
00:04:03.700 Andrew, please don't run a disruptive third party.
00:04:08.640 And you know what Cuomo told him, apparently?
00:04:10.720 He said, I'm not making up my mind until September.
00:04:14.160 I may make up my mind on doing it or not doing it September.
00:04:18.060 So what he's saying is the 60-day run from September to Election Day, that's when Andrew Cuomo, supposedly, that's what these people are saying, and we know his brother, and we could probably get confirmation or not, but are saying he's going to wait until then to do it.
00:04:32.120 And they're asking him, Andrew, please assure us you're not going to do that.
00:04:35.520 Let's all line up behind Eric, and let's run this thing.
00:04:39.400 And there were more than just real estate, but there was all kinds of people in the Hamptons.
00:04:43.760 And again, weren't there celebrating fireworks?
00:04:45.440 They're all taking this very, very serious, and these were supposedly ultra-serious meetings among the levity of 4th of July, but deadly serious because they're concerned about the economic future of their city and don't want it led by a socialist.
00:05:01.200 And they were all saying, Eric, we got money behind you.
00:05:04.320 We may not agree on everything from before, but we're with you.
00:05:07.380 And the developers were recultivating and saying, we think you got it right with City of Yes, and we're with you. 0.95
00:05:13.540 Tommy, how much do you think Andrew Cuomo has a chip on his shoulder for how the Democrats treated him with all the scandal, and they basically got his ass out? 0.94
00:05:22.720 How much of this is revenge and payback to say, F all of you, because you guys treated me like this. 0.96
00:05:27.800 I'm going to be the disruptor of this, and he doesn't care if the city burns.
00:05:31.020 Well, I can't read his mind and tell you how much, but how can there be zero?
00:05:34.360 There cannot be a zero chip on Andrew Cuomo's shoulder.
00:05:37.900 One phone call fixes that.
00:05:39.520 You're not?
00:05:39.980 One phone call fixes that.
00:05:42.240 From DJT?
00:05:43.600 One phone call from DJT fixes that.
00:05:45.780 One phone call. 0.97
00:05:46.400 If Trump calls him and says, yo, bro, we're not trying to have a freaking communist jihad sympathizer. 0.98
00:05:51.360 One phone call. 0.61
00:05:51.540 Because remember, Trump had a relationship with Mario Cuomo.
00:05:54.880 Trump wrote Mario Cuomo a letter.
00:05:56.400 And if you get that book of all of Trump's letters that he got, I think the second page of the book is a letter from Mario Cuomo.
00:06:03.100 And that's Andrew Cuomo's father.
00:06:04.640 I don't know if you can you can you find a yeah, that one right there.
00:06:07.940 Can you find a letter from Mario Cuomo to Trump?
00:06:11.340 That's Cuomo to, that's Trump to Cuomo.
00:06:13.940 No, there's one letter that's from Mario Cuomo to Trump.
00:06:18.620 It's on the second or the third page.
00:06:21.060 Who wrote it to who?
00:06:22.000 I know it's in that book right there with all the letters.
00:06:23.660 But I think I think someone needs to find a way to save Andrew Cuomo's face.
00:06:30.620 And I think there's only one person that can do it.
00:06:33.900 Because the reality of it is they really went after him.
00:06:37.280 He had a massive screw up.
00:06:38.660 No one's going to sit here and not dispute the fact that he did a massive screw up.
00:06:42.200 He had it.
00:06:43.360 And it was tough.
00:06:44.120 And he had to address it.
00:06:45.060 And he's going to have to address it for a long time to come.
00:06:47.520 Every time you interview Monica Lewinsky, guess what's going to always come up?
00:06:51.740 Bill Clinton and the cigar.
00:06:53.320 And every time you interview Bill Clinton, guess what's going to come up?
00:06:55.420 Same thing.
00:06:56.020 Yeah.
00:06:56.200 So guess what?
00:06:57.000 It's part of your story.
00:06:58.440 You're going to you're going to have it.
00:06:59.280 That's going to come up no matter what.
00:07:01.200 So but to me is as you're going into New York, I have some thoughts.
00:07:04.360 But Adam, I'm going to get your thoughts before I get into mine.
00:07:06.640 What are you thinking about Mamdani?
00:07:08.040 What's going to happen with Adams, with the New York situation, with the cops?
00:07:11.060 What do you think about it?
00:07:11.780 Yeah, I mean, just welcome to the world in 2025, where in the heart of New York, in the
00:07:16.300 heart of capitalism, the heart of the United States, you're about to tell me that a communist
00:07:21.120 jihadist is potentially be the mayor of New York City.
00:07:24.760 Yeah, it's 2025.
00:07:27.080 So it's sort of writing on the wall.
00:07:28.840 So a couple of things that are going on in New York.
00:07:31.360 Number one, we're about to find out how selfish and or delusional Andrew Cuomo is, because
00:07:37.600 the Democratic Party in New York told him to his face how they feel about him.
00:07:43.880 They'd rather have Mamdani.
00:07:45.480 This is not about him being delusional, Adam.
00:07:47.020 Well, clearly he's delusional if he hasn't dropped out of the race yet.
00:07:50.740 No, no, because he's offended.
00:07:52.640 Well, then he has to remove his emotions from from.
00:07:55.560 That's not how it works, though.
00:07:56.780 Well, he's offended and he feels like he's given the city his entire life.
00:08:02.780 I understand that he's offended and he has a right to be defended, but the Democratic
00:08:06.680 base, the people who voted for him and basically said, thank you.
00:08:10.200 Your time has come.
00:08:11.000 Go away.
00:08:11.700 We'd rather have this person.
00:08:13.420 And this is not a glitch in the Democratic Party.
00:08:18.060 This is what the modern Democratic Party in New York, the progressives want.
00:08:22.320 This wasn't an accident that they wanted Mamdani.
00:08:25.560 This was like, oh, my God, they they wanted him.
00:08:28.960 Anyway, the Democratic left want to say, no, no, this is what we stand for now.
00:08:34.480 Mamdani, we stand.
00:08:35.860 The state went the state became more Republican, but the left became more left.
00:08:39.880 Oh, yeah.
00:08:40.240 The city I'm talking about.
00:08:41.080 I'm talking about the state.
00:08:41.940 He's not.
00:08:42.420 This isn't the governor's race.
00:08:44.160 I get it.
00:08:44.660 Yeah.
00:08:44.800 This is the city of New York.
00:08:46.220 Yes.
00:08:47.260 This wasn't an accident.
00:08:49.140 They said, no, no, no.
00:08:50.160 Yeah.
00:08:50.340 The socialist guy.
00:08:51.420 Sure.
00:08:51.840 The jihadist guy.
00:08:52.660 Yeah.
00:08:52.880 That's our guy.
00:08:54.440 Because that is who the Democratic Party is at this point.
00:08:56.940 Right.
00:08:57.240 And if you don't believe me, look at the numbers.
00:08:59.340 They talked about a poll.
00:09:01.460 Harry Enten, I think, did a thing about how in the last 10 years, the Republican Party
00:09:06.940 in 2015, how do you feel about patriotism and how patriotic are you?
00:09:11.920 How do you view America?
00:09:12.800 It went from 90 percent in 2015 to 92 percent in 2025.
00:09:20.100 Two percent difference.
00:09:21.800 The Democratic Party, the pride in being an American has plummeted.
00:09:27.320 Is this the stat right here?
00:09:29.480 So Democrats are no longer proud to be American.
00:09:32.520 Democrats are no longer proud of what American values are.
00:09:36.300 Patriotism is not going the right way in the Democratic Party.
00:09:39.000 And New York is the tip of the spear where they're like, dude, F America. 0.75
00:09:43.180 We want someone to come in here and blow it all up.
00:09:46.760 Give us Mom Donnie. 1.00
00:09:48.200 So the last but not least, follow the money.
00:09:51.300 Here's a couple articles.
00:09:52.480 You talked about how Bill Ackman is basically potentially funding Eric Adams.
00:09:57.160 Big real estate people are going to be funding this.
00:09:59.220 There's a there's a flip side of the coin, which I text you, Rob.
00:10:03.080 You ever see these like billionaires that are also socialists like the Mark Benioffs of the world?
00:10:08.220 It's a weird concept.
00:10:09.920 So now they're calling it the Mondani millionaires.
00:10:12.780 The millionaires are supporting the socialists for New York City mayor.
00:10:16.600 I don't know.
00:10:17.200 I don't understand it.
00:10:18.420 But right now we're sort of in the summer malaise of like, oh, let's have some fun.
00:10:23.520 It's summer.
00:10:24.420 Come the fall, all eyes are going to be on New York City because the election is in November.
00:10:29.560 Yeah.
00:10:30.760 It's just heating up.
00:10:32.020 The lemon box that we launched.
00:10:34.060 OK, this campaign that we launched with the messages, Rob, if you can go to it.
00:10:37.980 I absolutely love the stories that we're getting, the testimonies that we're getting, Rob.
00:10:42.500 OK, the Zested Forward that you open it up with a video being played with the hat and the merch being in it.
00:10:47.660 And it's a heartfelt message to people that are going through tough times today.
00:10:50.840 If you haven't yet sent this to anybody, listen, I challenge you.
00:10:55.400 I encourage you.
00:10:56.620 Send it to someone.
00:10:57.780 See their reaction.
00:10:58.880 Here's some of the notes we got recently from three people that have been using the lemon box.
00:11:03.840 Here's somebody named Patrick.
00:11:05.600 Phenomenal name.
00:11:06.660 Hi, guys.
00:11:07.240 I gave it to my wife as part of her Mother's Day gift.
00:11:09.240 She's a national sales manager for a yacht company and found it to be very encouraging.
00:11:13.100 She teared up when she received it.
00:11:14.680 And I'm sure she will open the box again and listen to it over and over and over again.
00:11:18.640 Thank you.
00:11:19.120 Rob, if you can go to the next one, here's something from Karen.
00:11:23.040 The recipient loved the lemon box with the hat and video.
00:11:26.640 It was just what she needed to pull her out of a bad time.
00:11:30.700 Thanks for such creative ways we can express love and encouragement to people who need just a bit of recognition.
00:11:36.680 And then the next one here, we have a Magnea.
00:11:38.960 Bought these boxes for my son.
00:11:41.580 Bought this box for my son who was going through some hard times.
00:11:43.780 When he got it, called me crying because he said it was exactly what he needed and thought this gift was the most thoughtful thing he had received.
00:11:52.300 If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
00:11:54.480 It's a simple message and a great message for so many.
00:11:57.480 PBD's message in the box was awesome.
00:11:59.400 Loved it.
00:11:59.760 So if you got somebody that's going through things, folks, job, career, family, marriage, personal life, go to vtmerge.com, zest it forward, send it to somebody.

00:12:11.960 You can't wait for them to message you and tell you how grateful they are for that.
00:12:16.080 And on top of that, ladies, you've been asking about it, and my wife, some other ladies, Kim, others have been saying, Pat, we need some sports gear for the ladies.
00:12:26.200 So here's what we have now as well that's officially launched on vtmerge.com.
