30 seconds. One time for the underdog. Ignition sequence start.
00:00:07.000
Let me see you put them up. Reach the sky, turn the stars up above.
00:00:11.120
Cause it's one time for the underdog. One time for the underdog.
00:00:17.340
This is Patrick B. David, your host of Attainment.
00:00:19.460
In today's episode, I'm going to talk to you about the history of U.S.-Iran conflict.
00:00:24.320
You know, and going back, not just in the last 10, 20 years,
00:00:27.340
we got to go back 60, 70, 80 years to see what is really causing all this stuff.
00:00:31.380
So by the time it's done with, whether you're from Iran or Middle Eastern or not,
00:00:36.000
you're going to sit there and say, I've never heard of some of these things before
00:00:40.320
So here's what we're going to cover in today's episode.
00:00:42.040
Number one is current Iran state of economy. How bad is it over there?
00:00:48.680
Number two, relevant countries that have to do with everything that's going on with Iran continuously.
00:00:54.160
Lastly, then timeline, because a lot of times when we look at what's going on today,
00:01:00.560
So we'll kind of roll back all the way back to 1908.
00:01:03.700
And then what presidents in U.S. did well with leaders or prime ministers of Iran?
00:01:09.720
And then my final thoughts on what I think is taking place and how some things will change
00:01:15.380
And the one thing you don't hear a lot of people talk about that keeps capping into Iran,
00:01:18.720
and there's a reason for it. We'll talk about that at the end of the episode.
00:01:20.840
So let's get right into it. Current state of economy in Iran.
00:01:23.640
Number one, unemployment rate currently for young Iranians is 27%,
00:01:31.880
So that's not a good thing right there when you're looking at that,
00:01:33.820
because people cannot find jobs, especially the youth.
00:01:36.820
Number two, inflation is estimated to be at 40%,
00:01:40.620
although Professor Steve Hanke from Johns Hopkins University,
00:01:44.560
who was a senior economist to President Reagan,
00:01:49.500
It's at least at 250%, but again, 40% to 250% is still terrible for any country.
00:01:56.500
On top of that, families who want to go feed their kids today, in the last 12 months,
00:01:59.960
meat prices are up 57%, milk and egg up 37%, vegetables up 47%.
00:02:11.540
has lost 60% of its value against the U.S. dollar in the last 12 months.
00:02:21.360
Some are even saying they're spending over 100,000 reals per dollar.
00:02:25.520
And last but not least, in this category with oil,
00:02:28.120
they've lost $10 billion of revenues in oil in the last 12 months.
00:02:31.060
I'll give you some data for you to be thinking about it.
00:02:38.220
Comparing that five-month run to November of 2018 to March of 2019,
00:02:45.580
here's how many barrels they sold in the first five months versus the second five months.
00:02:50.300
First five months to China, they were selling 590,000 barrels a day to China.
00:02:59.240
To India, 563,000 barrels per day to only 300,000.
00:03:04.640
Japan was buying 149,000 barrels per day to 50,000.
00:03:14.440
Turkey was doing 120,000 barrels a day to 73,000.
00:03:21.000
And Italy was doing 121,000 barrels a day to zero.
00:03:29.700
all of a sudden everything flips nearly 50%, 80%.
00:03:37.400
they're about to go out of business if they go out to space.
00:03:40.320
with all these customers that are buying your products
00:03:48.980
that needs to figure out a way to feed families
00:04:01.080
And here's some of the countries I want you to be thinking about.
00:04:07.960
and then you've got Russia, Venezuela, and Lebanon.
00:04:31.220
and they both kind of have things that they like, right?
00:04:33.560
So you've got to kind of look at some of these countries.
00:04:38.740
Obviously, there are certain things that are causing this,
00:04:43.960
1908, Anglo-Persian Oil Company gets started, right?
00:05:21.120
And this is the whole Anglo-Persian Oil Company
