00:00:00.000 30 seconds.
00:00:02.000 Did you ever think you would make it?
00:00:04.000 I feel I'm so close I could taste sweet victory.
00:00:07.000 I know this life meant for me.
00:00:10.000 Yeah, why would you bet on Goliath when we got Bet David?
00:00:14.000 Valuetainment, giving value is contagious.
00:00:16.000 This world of entrepreneurs, we get no value to haters.
00:00:19.000 Now they run, homie, look what I become.
00:00:21.000 I'm the one.
00:00:22.000 We just left, what do you call it?
00:00:24.000 Who was playing? Cowboys against Detroit. Great game.
00:00:27.000 We flew out here with the Cowboys.
00:00:28.000 Private plane that they have and had a good time.
00:00:31.000 But you know what's funny is while we were here,
00:00:32.000 we went to the Ford Museum yesterday.
00:00:34.000 And if you've never been, it's absolutely amazing.
00:00:37.000 What was it?
00:00:38.000 One of the areas was nine and a half acres.
00:00:40.000 Another one is 90 acres.
00:00:42.000 You get a chance to see how they make the Ford F-150.
00:00:45.000 Just an incredible property.
00:00:47.000 And I'm asking everybody locally,
00:00:49.000 while we were having dinner last night at Roast
00:00:51.000 or we went out to see the city,
00:00:53.000 how the city feels about Ford Motor Company
00:00:57.000 and how they feel about Henry Ford.
00:00:59.000 And there's a lot of obviously different conversations
00:01:02.000 about the person who came into the city and changed the game
00:01:06.000 and created a company, employed so many people.
00:01:09.000 Where if you work for Ford, you're pretty much set in this city here.
00:01:12.000 The moral of the story is this.
00:01:14.000 Here's what the message is.
00:01:16.000 When you go in the museum and you look who Henry Ford was,
00:01:20.000 everything he did, he saw things from a lens of,
00:01:24.000 how can I do this better?
00:01:27.000 Meaning, how can I build this better?
00:01:30.000 How can I solve this problem?
00:01:32.000 One of the games I play in my own mind
00:01:35.000 and with people around me is the following game.
00:01:37.000 Maybe you ought to try playing this game this week.
00:01:39.000 Here's what it is.
00:01:40.000 No matter where you go, restaurant, business, city, sports team,
00:01:48.000 no matter where you go, what you do, ask yourself,
00:01:52.000 if I ran this business, what would I do differently?
00:01:55.000 Where's the leak in this business?
00:01:57.000 Where's an area where they're leaving a lot of money on the table?
00:02:00.000 Where's there an opportunity here for me to build it better,
00:02:04.000 for me to do it better?
00:02:06.000 And just exercise that.
00:02:08.000 Use that with the people that are around you.
00:02:10.000 Hey, how would you run it better in this restaurant here?
00:02:13.000 What do you think you like about what they're doing here?
00:02:16.000 And get into that mental state of doing it better
00:02:18.000 because that's what a lot of these guys like Henry Ford did.
00:02:20.000 And think about it this way.
00:02:21.000 One guy changed the entire city.
00:02:24.000 We're in 30s, 40s, 50s.
00:02:26.000 I want to say till 60s Detroit was known as the richest city in America
00:02:33.000 until the whole, you know, things changed.
00:02:36.000 70s was still good.
00:02:37.000 80s was still good.
00:02:38.000 And then the NAFTA came out and Detroit changed
00:02:40.000 because free trade, not cars were being built in other parts of the world
00:02:44.000 instead of America.
00:02:45.000 Cars were being built in Mexico.
00:02:47.000 But the moral of the story is one person changed the city of Detroit.
00:02:52.000 One, he owned a land, this place called Heinz Park.
00:02:57.000 And at one point he's like, I want to give this land to the city with one disclaimer.
00:03:03.000 They said, what is it?
00:03:04.000 You can never build anything on top of this.
00:03:06.000 I want this thing to be a park.
00:03:08.000 And then you look at the last name, you know.
00:03:11.000 You go to his museum, there's this painting on the wall.
00:03:14.000 And it's got numbers of everybody that was in that meeting that took place, I think, in the 30s.
00:03:20.000 Rockefeller, Edison, Hoover, Marie Curie, all these people that were there.
00:03:27.000 What happened?
00:03:28.000 One person did it.
00:03:29.000 One person did it.
00:03:31.000 And that one person can be you and your family.
00:03:35.000 Business can change the city.
00:03:37.000 You can change the last thing.
00:03:38.000 You can change the country.
00:03:39.000 You can change every single thing you want.
00:03:42.000 But it starts with one person who's a dreamer, who has a lens that looks at everything, saying,
00:03:47.000 what can I do to make this thing better?
00:03:49.000 You can do that.
00:03:50.000 Test it out this week.
00:03:51.000 It's my challenge of the week to you.
00:03:53.000 Have a killer week.
00:03:54.000 And stay tuned for some big things coming out soon.
00:03:57.000 Thanks, everybody, for listening.
