00:00:23.760The mayor of California being questioned by the reporter. Do you have that clip, Rob?
00:00:28.600I do. OK, play the clip. Watch this here, folks. OK, this is an issue now, especially since it has rained and we've seen so many of them.
00:00:39.600What are you going to do about it? That's right. Well, and let me just tell you, we are fixing them.
00:00:44.280And in the last three months, we fixed over 10,000 potholes. And in the last couple of weeks, we fixed almost 300.
00:00:52.160So we are going to continue doing that until all the potholes are fixed.
00:00:57.600And what we're doing here is asking people to report on 3-1-1 when they see a pothole because we certainly don't want cars damaged or people to have difficulty with that.
00:01:10.400Now, we saw you fill a pothole with asphalt here just a few minutes ago, and you're encouraging people to call 3-1-1.
00:01:16.840But guess what? We know people. I work with people who've called 3-1-1. Nothing happened. The pothole was never repaired.
00:01:23.000They called several times over a couple of months. What do you have to say about that?
00:01:26.280Well, let me just tell you that in the last two months, three months, we have fixed over 10,000.
00:01:31.700We have a lot more to fix, but I think this is a reflection of decades of lack of investment in our infrastructure, and we are definitely addressing that.
00:01:41.840You talk about that. I mean, we spend so much less here in L.A. than other cities do, for example, New York or San Diego, San Francisco.
00:01:49.280And we haven't repaved a single city street here since last summer.
00:01:53.560Well, let me just say that we have much more we need to do, which is why I've been developing this.
00:01:58.820So you can pause right there. Sounds like a politician, you know, lip service.
