00:00:00.000 I have two uh fun questions for you and uh let's see how this goes with the fun questions so one
00:00:06.460 time I got pulled over okay and um I am famous for having a lot of speeding tickets okay I try
00:00:15.880 to be a cop I try to be a cop and a firefighter they said I couldn't do it I said why not I was
00:00:21.000 in the military I got out they said you have 16 speeding tickets and your license was suspended
00:00:26.040 once you can't be a cop so I couldn't be a cop is it true you like to drive fast and get a lot of
00:00:31.760 speeding tickets is that a is that right what I what I'm reading I used to I would say before I
00:00:39.160 ever got into politics and before I ran for congress yes I grew up with a dad that um was always in a
00:00:45.880 hurry you know and he we lived on a farm and a ranch and and he would tell me you know Christy get to
00:00:51.120 town and get those parts and get back here as fast as you can so um in our family yes had quite a few
00:00:57.120 speeding tickets but when I ran for congress it was quite an issue people would say you know how can
00:01:02.840 you um write the law when you uh knowingly break the law uh and that really resonated with me it was
00:01:09.840 true that even though I didn't think at the time the way that I grew up that speeding tickets were a
00:01:13.580 big deal um if people were going to trust me to go out and to actually write the law in congress then
00:01:19.360 I needed to so I'm completely reformed Patrick I hope you are too are you fully um I can't I can't
00:01:24.880 say I'm fully reformed listen the the the some people the world's a safer place if they don't
00:01:30.500 drive they make fast cars for a reason secretary no I mean these these cars are built to drive them
00:01:37.580 for you to have a car with a lot of power and you want me to go 65 give me a flipping break I hope my
00:01:42.860 kids never driven I've driven some of those too and it's been I mean that I think the first time I
00:01:47.920 became a NASCAR fan was when they let me uh go drive some some cars at Lowe's Motor Speedway and I
00:01:53.520 was addicted they also said that I missed my calling that I should have really I I do I do love
00:02:00.520 to uh drive but uh I am reformed I I no longer drive drive fast I want to try to follow your lead
00:02:07.900 hopefully one of these days I'll give up speeding uh my son likes to follow he'll say that
00:02:13.720 slow down that's not the speed limit I'm like you are just like your grandpa but my older son he
00:02:19.480 likes speed so last but not least with the schedule you have what is your fitness routine how do you
00:02:24.680 stay in shape when you train I kind of do everything I like to run a couple days a week I like my
00:02:30.920 peloton bike I do that a couple days a week and then I do some crossfit some weights as well um so
00:02:37.540 it uh but then you know I like I like to do anything that's outside that's what the part is I've
00:02:41.540 learned that with this job I have to get up early and work out I'm usually up by four and working
00:02:46.680 out just so that I can handle sitting in meetings all day and and doing this much talking I like to
00:02:51.360 move around and it keeps me busy most people know I came from a ranching background so I spent all my
00:02:56.940 days before I got into politics outside so doing this job and being inside a lot is a little bit
00:03:02.100 challenging if you love this country show it lead with pride in the value tainment usa collection
